Luoyang National Peony Garden

The Peony Garden is divided into the South and North areas. The famous "Millennium Peony King", a relic of the Western Garden of the Sui Dynasty, is located in the South area of the Peony Garden and is the "living fossil" of Luoyang peony.
The buildings in the garden inherit the charm of Sui Xiyuan and Tang Shenduyuan. It is spring-like all year round, with hundreds of species competing for beauty. You can enjoy the beauty of peonies at any time.

We came to Luoyang with great anticipation to admire the national flower, the peony. However, when we arrived in Luoyang, it was already the end of April and the peak season for peonies had passed. Only the National Peony Garden still had a few large peony flowers left, and there were also indoor peonies for viewing. We took a few photos of the peonies that were still strong and proudly blooming, pretending that we were still in the peak season.

The Peony Garden is opposite the Shaolin Temple. In April, when tourists go to Luoyang, the hotel prices have doubled! But you should really come and see the peony. Only the peony is truly beautiful, and the capital is moved when the flowers bloom.

By Wuhan International Travel |

Luoyang peonies bloom in April every year. Luoyang is the best place in China to enjoy peonies, with a wide variety of peonies.

By szmay |

I have seen several of the pictures introduced and I am quite satisfied with them.

The National Peony Garden, also known as the "China Luoyang National Peony Gene Bank", is located in the west of Zhonggou, Mangshan, Luoyang City, covering an area of 700 acres. It is divided into the South Garden and the North Garden. It has become the largest production base in China for the introduction and domestication of wild peonies, the cultivation of new varieties and the propagation of commercial peonies.

It’s the first time I see so many peonies in bloom. They are so beautiful.

By Light to moderate snow |

Convenient transportation, large place, good variety

By Follow your own will |

It is only open to the public in April every year. There are many varieties of peonies in the garden, with bright colors, scattered and large. It is definitely worth a visit.

By A grain of fish |

The yard is quite large and you can spend most of the day there. There are many flower clocks. It is very good to see the peony season.

By Bai Xubo |

If you come to Luoyang in May, you must see the peonies. If not, there is really no need to rush to see the peonies in May. After seeing too many peonies, I found that although the flower disk is large, the shapes and colors are very rich, the flowers and leaves of the peony are surprisingly dry. It feels like the leaves can shake off dust at any time, and the petals are dry like thin paper. It is really hard to say that I like it.

By Heart without boundaries |

The park was full of flowers. We had to pay for tickets when we went there, but I heard from local people doing morning exercises that admission was free if we went early.

By A pedestrian |

The national flower is elegant and noble, and its reputation is well-deserved. The courtyard is very large, with a large area of peony planting of various varieties.

Luoyang Peony. There are also peonies in other places, but I still think I should see them in Luoyang.

Luoyang National Peony Gene Bank is located in the west of Zhonggou, Mangshan, Luoyang City. It covers an area of 700 mu, of which the peony viewing garden is divided into the South Garden and the North Garden, covering an area of 500 mu, and the seedling garden is 200 mu. It collects more than 600 domestic peony horticultural varieties. I remember the biggest feature is the two-color peony "Er Qiao", the green peony "Dou Lu", and strings of lantern-like peonies. The best time to go is mid-April, and the morning and evening are not the best flowering period.

By Dream Traveler |

It is a large peony garden full of peonies. It is divided into two garden areas connected by a sky bridge. It is worth a visit for friends who like flowers!

By Umbrella in hot weather |

With its large scale, complete varieties and reasonable ticket prices, it is the best place to view peonies.

The National Peony Garden, also known as the China Luoyang National Peony Gene Bank, is located in the west of Zhonggou, Mangshan, Luoyang City. It covers an area of 700 mu, of which the Peony Ornamental Garden is divided into the South Garden and the North Garden. It breeds 300,000 high-quality commercial peonies with nine color systems, complete varieties, and large and colorful flowers every year. At present, it has become the largest production base in China for the introduction and domestication of wild peonies, the cultivation of new varieties, and the breeding of commercial peonies.

We went early and there were not many people and not many flowers in bloom, but it was still very beautiful! I think the tickets are expensive!

Only the peony is the true beauty of the country; the capital city is moved when it blooms.

By Xin Baby |

A bit disappointed with this place, maybe because the flowers were withered. I rushed to watch the night show, but there was nothing worth seeing except the lights. I took the bus for more than an hour, it was not worth it!

Today is April 29, 2017. The park is deserted, the flowers have all withered, and the gate and the exhibition halls are closed...

By Joyful Shadow |

I went to Luoyang to see peonies in late April. When I took a taxi, the driver recommended us to go to the National Peony Garden, saying that the flowers in other places were about to wither. It was really worth the trip. The peonies were in full bloom, the purple peonies had already withered, and the others were in full bloom, which was very beautiful. It cost more than 10 yuan to take a taxi from Lijingmen, and it took less than 20 minutes. It was more convenient and faster than the bus.

The beauty of the country is drunk in the morning, and the fragrance of the sky dyes the clothes at night. The beauty of the country and the fragrance of the peony can only be felt by seeing it with your own eyes. The National Peony Garden is worth a visit. It is now in full bloom in the late flowering period, and the flowers are still very beautiful. The garden is divided into two parts by the national highway, and the colors of the flowers on both sides are different. Don't miss it. It took me about three hours to finish the tour, taking photos and writing postcards. Three hours is enough.

Tips for taking photos: The flowers are mainly bright red and white. Girls who go to take photos can wear something contrasting. Otherwise, if you wear bright red, you won’t be visible in the photo. In addition, the selfie stick is very important! If you want to watch the flowers in a civilized manner and take close-up photos, you should use the selfie stick to reach in and take photos. My photos are all taken in this way. (If you are carrying a SLR or even a wide-angle lens, ignore this sentence (˃᷄˶˶̫˶˂᷅))

It should be noted that during the flower show, you only need to buy one ticket to enter the park, don't buy a package ticket. The boutique exhibition is a rip-off! It's not as good as the one outside. Secondly, it's hot and there's not enough water. The water price in the park is twice the normal market price or even higher. Girls must remember to reapply sunscreen...

By Little Bowl Loves Mom |

We went there in mid-April, which was the peak blooming period of peonies. It was actually a hasty decision. After entering, I felt that first it was a street of small stalls, and then, I could see peony gardens on both sides, white, pink, and red. Viewing the flowers really makes you feel good. However, the environment and sanitary conditions need to be further improved. The sunshine was just right and the photos were good. Thank you!

By Yuqi |

Peonies are in full bloom and are as beautiful as the flowers. This season is the best season for peonies to bloom.

By Happy walking Tintin |

Compared with other parks, the peony is not as diverse, but you can take close-up photos and the cherry blossoms are also very beautiful. Don't go to the 15th Four Seasons Peony Special Exhibition. There is nothing to see and it is a waste of energy.

By Farewell |

This is Luoyang Peony Garden, and the other one is National Peony Garden. There should be no Luoyang National Peony Garden, but I didn’t figure it out, and I went to the National Peony Garden. Here is a picture. I strongly recommend you not to go there, it’s a comprehensive amusement park!!! Maybe this Luoyang Peony Garden is better. My master suggested me to go there. Who made me so stubborn! Oh…

By Jing |

The peonies inside are very beautiful. You can hire a tour guide for 50 yuan, which is absolutely worth it. He can tell you a lot about peonies.

By Madman under the brush |

The peonies in Luoyang are amazing. There are all kinds of colors and varieties. It feels magical. There are the beautiful big peonies we often see, as well as the precious black peonies and green peonies. I think it is really worth a visit.

By Lao Na long-term triple empty |

You must go to the Peony Garden after April 9th, otherwise it will be full of flower buds; the Longmen Grottoes are majestic and awe-inspiring, but the boat ride is only 25 yuan per person, which is not worth taking.

By 向日葵 |

唯有牡丹真国色~牡丹花很漂亮 就是人太多了 好多人进到牡丹园里拍照

By Calm Night |

First of all, there are two types of tickets, 60 yuan for the blooming season and 40 yuan for the withering season. When we went there, except for the greenhouse (which was charged separately), almost all the peonies had withered, but they were still charged according to the blooming season ticket. I felt that the other price was really useless. Then I booked the big ticket on Ctrip, 50 yuan per person

The yard is very large, with two large garden areas connected by an overpass in the middle. There is basically only green leaves left.

Then you have to buy a ticket to the small exhibition hall inside to see the various peonies. But after viewing, you must return from the original door, otherwise if you go out from the back door, you will be directly out of the scenic area. There is no signboard and the management is chaotic. Fortunately, after discussing with the security guard, we were allowed to return to the park.

Although peonies are not my favorite, I am still looking forward to the beauty of the true national color!

By Li Xiaodou's beautiful ears |

It rained not long after the flowers started blooming this year. When we went there, it was mid-to-late April, which is supposed to be the time when the flowers are in full bloom, but when we went there, the flowers were almost all gone, and we didn't get to take photos of the blooming flowers. It took us a long time to pick a complete, blooming flower. And there was nothing else to see in this peony garden. It felt not worth it.

By happy |

You need to catch the peak flowering period to see large areas of blooming peonies, with many varieties and beautiful colors.

By Qirui Lotte |

The garden is just across from the White Horse Temple. The garden is very large and the peonies are in full bloom. The pavilions and towers in the garden are not well built and the garden looks a bit like a nursery. The ticket is a bit expensive. Adult ticket is 100 yuan.

By Celery772 |

It is better to go during the flowering period. Although the tickets are cheap

By Zhang Guokai (Super League) |

I vow to be a guest under the flowers of Luoyang,

But I haven't seen Ying'er coming.

The flowers in the national garden are over.

Peonies and roses compete for beauty.

I have never heard of the fragrance of peonies filling the garden.

But I saw tourists taking photos randomly.

Laughing and mocking that this is a rose,

This caused a lot of discussion among passers-by.

The flower season of the ancient capital is over.

Pretending to be polite but revealing his ruffian nature.

By Wang Xinghui |

I went there on April 21st. Because of the weather conditions, there was a heavy rain a few days ago and more than half of the flowers had withered. However, there were still many large ones, as big as bowls. Next year, I must go in mid-April.

By Wei Kee |

I really like the Peony Museum inside. The introduction to peonies is very detailed and free to enter. No additional tickets are required. There are many varieties of peonies planted in the park, but most of them bloom in the middle to late flowering period. Most of them are not in bloom when I go there in the early flowering period.

By Glutinous Rice Balls |

Just go to the peony garden you like. If you don't know much about peony varieties, they all look the same, so just go to the one closest to you.

Peony, the most beautiful flower in the world, Luoyang has a very good environment.

By E1c |

Every year in early April, it is the season of Luoyang Peony Fair. Only those who have seen the peony in person can appreciate what is called "the king of flowers". "The national beauty and natural fragrance of the real peony" is a pleasing thing to see the peony. Luoyang people's love for peony is a true love from the bones. One of the reasons why peony is beautiful and precious is that the peony does not bloom for a long time. In recent years, some parks in Luoyang have begun to cultivate some late-blooming peonies so that their flowering period can be extended to the "May 1st" tourism golden week, so it is possible to see peonies during May 1st. The National Peony Garden is located in Mangshan, Luoyang. It has become one of the most important viewing spots of the Luoyang Peony Fair. It is recommended that you must come when the peony is in bloom, otherwise you can only see other flowers if you come late. Transportation: Many cities have trains and high-speed railways to Luoyang. Luoyang also has an airport, which is very convenient. To get to the National Peony Garden, take bus 51 at Luoyang Railway Station.

I went there in May. The peonies are almost gone. Only the peonies in the greenhouse are left. It is worth a visit. It feels amazing.

There is no doubt that Luoyang peonies are the best in the world. Of course, Luoyang also has many large peony gardens, including the National Peony Garden, China National Flower Garden, Sui and Tang Ruins Peony Garden, and Mangshan Peony Garden. These peony gardens are large in scale and well-known for their many varieties of peonies. Luoyang National Peony Garden has hosted leaders and celebrities from many countries. If friends who travel by plane to Luoyang to see peonies, the National Peony Garden is the best choice because it is very close to the airport.

I went there during the Qingming Festival, and it wasn't open yet. I only saw some in an indoor exhibition hall.

By treedxcy |

It is worthy of being the king of flowers. It has many years of history and is gorgeous and generous. But there are too many people in the park.

By Happy Angel |

Every March, or rather mid-January, Luoyang begins to see the spring, with all kinds of flowers appearing one after another. The first is the plum blossoms that are not afraid of wind, frost, rain or snow. Their delicate yellowish color and waxy transparency are truly worthy of their name. If it is snowing, you can smell its subtle fragrance from afar, which is refreshing and unforgettable; then the white magnolia, the red peach blossoms and the green willows... until the peonies are in full bloom, which move the whole of Luoyang. At this time, please come to Luoyang, to the Luoyang National Peony Garden, where peonies are in full bloom everywhere, in various shapes and colors. Experience it well. The spectacular scene of Tokyo City during the blooming season will definitely be worth it!

By Drogba |

Luoyang's peonies are the best in the world! If you go to Luoyang and don't visit the Longmen Grottoes and the Peony Garden, you can't say you've been to Luoyang.

There are many varieties and huge quantities. There is also peony fruit made from peonies, which is delicious and can be taken back to be used as snack fillings.

I went to the Peony Garden around May, thinking that after seeing the peonies I would go to the Longmen Grottoes. This season is really the golden tourist season. Black taxis are very expensive, and accommodation is also expensive, but the beautiful scenery seems to be worth it.

As soon as you enter the peony garden, you will see peonies of all colors. They are really beautiful. It's a pity that there are many people guarding the garden and you are not allowed to go in to take pictures. But it is understandable. It would be a pity if such beautiful flowers were accidentally damaged. Each peony is as big as a bowl, and they are all vying with each other in beauty. It is so beautiful.

There are also instant noodles for sale in the park, but there are no other places selling instant noodles in other attractions~~~~

It's worth a visit.

By Old pipe |

Luoyang peony is the best in the world. Peony is elegant and noble, more dignified and generous than other flowers. It has a strong fragrance that is refreshing and intoxicating.

By When the world was still a child |

It was not the peak blooming season when I went there, and most of the peonies I saw were wilted, which was horrible to look at, but some of them were still in full bloom under the sun.

By xh |

Entering the yard, you can see a statue of a peony fairy standing tall and graceful in the distance. Some of the early-blooming peonies have withered, but they are still worth seeing. I searched for Green Peony for a long time and finally found her in an inconspicuous place. It was not as stunning as expected. There are three ostriches in the garden, eating peony petals and leaves with their heads down. Do you want to be like Concubine Xiang, eating peonies and exuding the fragrance of peonies all over your body?

The National Peony Garden is also known as the China Luoyang National Peony Gene Bank. The peony viewing garden is divided into the South Garden and the North Garden, separated by National Highway 310. ↓↓↓↓↓ Tour map. Buy tickets at the North Garden gate. Although the entire garden seems to be very large, the only part that can be visited is the flowery part shown in the picture. Then cross the overpass on the road to the South Garden, and exit from the South Garden gate after the visit.

China National Flower Garden is the smallest and the dirtiest of all the peony gardens that Aunt Cat has visited. Perhaps it focuses on the research and cultivation of peony genes, not sightseeing. The staff area is forbidden to visit, and there is no way to experience its high-tech

By Starry Sky |

The National Peony Garden covers a large area and is divided into two areas, north and south, by the road. During the flowering period, there are peony flowers everywhere. There are many varieties of peonies, and they bloom in various colors, which is beautiful! I fully felt that only peonies are truly national colors, and the grand occasion of the capital city moving when the flowers bloom! It’s a pity that the thousand-year-old Sui and Tang peony flowering period has passed, so I didn’t appreciate it; the management is a little lacking, and tourists trampled on many peonies, which is a pity!

One of the main activities of the 33rd China Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival, the "Luoyang Silk Road Intangible Cultural Heritage Carnival" will be unveiled during this year's Peony Cultural Festival. The venue is located in Dingdingmen, and the event time is from April 1 to June 30. The planned area is 152,000 square meters, and the planned investment is 150 million yuan. By then, it will bring Chinese and foreign tourists a cultural feast that integrates the Silk Road intangible cultural heritage culture, Luoyang culture, and peony culture.

Because it rained a few days ago, many peonies were destroyed, so we had to build a greenhouse. However, as the national flower, peonies are indeed high-end and classy! The large patches of large flowers shocked us two southern kids. Unfortunately, there were too many tourists and we were in a hurry...

By ┄ˇ |

The landlord recommended that we go to the National Peony Garden. You can see peonies everywhere you go, and they are in large patches. It's not like the National Flower Garden, where you have to walk for a long time to see them, and there are so many people.

It was a rainy day and the water was very muddy. My shoes were ruined when I got home.

By Dragon Mother |

The National Garden is in a great location and can be reached by bus. Although there are many people, it will not affect photography if you miss the time. The peony flowers are very beautiful, and each variety is very shocking. The best time to see the flowers is from April 10th to 20th, but of course accommodation is also very expensive at this time.

In the peony garden exhibition area, there are masters making peony fans on the spot, and you can also write a poem with your name on the back, which is worth keeping.

By Xuanju Morning Breeze |

The ticket is 40 yuan. After entering, it is a desolate place with dead branches in autumn. It is impossible to imagine the peonies in full bloom in April and May. The paintings on the wall can only arouse imagination. The tour guide in the scenic area took us around. When we arrived at the greenhouse, it was the first time I saw peonies up close. It may be because of the greenhouse. Although it looks lush, it always looks listless. The spirit is not so full. The varieties are not very complete.

By hapiness |

The garden is very large, divided into two parts by a road, with a special overpass in the middle. The reason why I chose this garden is to see the thousand-year-old peony king.
