There are many gardens for viewing peonies in Luoyang, but I still chose Wangcheng Park. First, it is in the city center with convenient transportation; second, this garden has the most peonies in my opinion, and it also includes a zoo; third, the ticket for Wangcheng Park also includes the other two parks. It’s worth visiting three parks with one ticket~😀

When visiting the garden, I found that the peonies in Wangcheng were so big and beautiful, each one looked like a big plate, so beautiful, and especially fragrant. Being in the garden, my mood naturally became very comfortable! 😍

By the way, I don’t know if some people only look at the peonies in front. In fact, the staff inside said that there are also many peonies in the zoo area, and they are particularly beautiful. So walk around more when watching the animals. The park is very large, and there will be unexpected surprises if you walk around more~😉

There is a zoo inside, which is very big. I walked around it three times. In April, the peonies were in full bloom and there were many people. It is not far from the old city.

The largest comprehensive park in Luoyang, close to the city center, is said to be built on ruins, but I didn't see any ruins. There were quite a lot of people, and no tickets were required when I went there.

Wangcheng Park, also known as Luoyang Wangcheng Park, is named after the site of the Eastern Zhou Wangcheng. The park was built in 1955 and is located on the site of the Eastern Zhou Wangcheng, a national key cultural relic protection unit west of Luoyang Cultural Center. Covering an area of 1,080 acres, it includes several parts such as the ancient cultural area, peony garden, animal house, and amusement park. It is the first site park in the country, the largest zoo in western Henan, a nationally famous peony viewing garden, the birthplace of the Luoyang Peony Fair, and the main venue of the Luoyang Peony Fair. The park integrates peony viewing with historical culture, humanistic gardens and natural gardens. It is a modern comprehensive park with complete functions and facilities. The park can be divided into four major scenic areas: peony viewing area, historical and cultural area, large amusement area and zoo, and has formed distinctive Wangcheng landscapes such as "peony competition, Zhou Ding domineering, Danxiang welcoming guests, Jingsi waterfall, Hetu Luoshu, Fengque reflecting the wheel, Letai bell, Gantangzhou", etc. It is the best place for sightseeing, cultural exchange, leisure and entertainment in Luoyang.

If you want to see Yaohuang, you must go to Wangcheng. There is a Yaohuang that is in full bloom behind the statue of the Peony Fairy. China National Garden is very large, full of peonies, of course, except for peonies, there are peonies. Because it is large, people are divided into different groups as soon as they enter, and it is not crowded or crowded. The peony plants in Guohua Garden are relatively short, so it is not very convenient to take photos with people, but there are no fences, which is very friendly and suitable for close-ups of flowers.

Luoyang's peony is world-famous. I really felt it when I went there. In early April, the peonies were not in full bloom yet, but you could see peony advertisements everywhere in Luoyang. Ordinary peonies are probably the most common in bright pink, but in Luoyang there are not only green peonies, but also pink peonies of different types, including dark purple and almost black ones. The city-wide celebration of the peony festival is no less than the celebration of cherry blossoms in Japan.
