Sanhuangzhai is located at the west foot of Shaoshi Mountain in Songshan Mountain, adjacent to Shaolin Temple Scenic Area in the north, and belongs to Shaolin Temple Scenic Area. Sanhuangzhai has unique ecological and natural environment and geological features. It is famous for its strange peaks, dangerous roads, strange rocks and beautiful scenery. Xu Xiake, a great traveler in the Ming Dynasty, wrote in a poem: Songshan is the most mysterious mountain in the world, Shaoshi is dangerous and strange. If you have not been to Sanhuangzhai, you are not a Shaolin tourist.
Sanhuangzhai has lush forests with a wide variety of species; complete geological types, ancient rock age, peculiar configuration, complete development, and good exposure. In a limited range, you can see a variety of landforms from the five geological periods of Archaea, Archaea, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic. It is called a "natural geological museum" by geologists. The natural landscape is magnificent, with more than 40 places such as Shaoshi Qingxue, Shaoshi Sunset, Monkey Watching the Sky, Yunfeng Tiger Roaring, etc.; the cultural landscape includes Sanhuang Palace, Anyang Palace, Qingwei Palace, Qingliang Temple, Yuhuang Temple, Shaoshi Que, Lianhua Temple, etc., as well as 486 Haohanpo stone steps, more than 50 meters long "Liantian Cable Bridge", more than 500 meters long "Sanhuang Plank Road", etc.
The main peak of Sanhuangzhai is about 1,512 meters above sea level. It is more dangerous than Huayue, more difficult than the Shu Road, more beautiful than Emei Mountain, and more majestic than Mount Tai. There is still about 5 square kilometers of virgin forest on the top of the mountain which is rarely visited by people.
In late autumn, the red-leaf forests covering more than 20 square kilometers in the scenic area bloom one after another. The golden wind brings coolness, the sky is clear and the air is fresh; the mountain roads are winding, the streams are gurgling; the forests are dyed red, and the clouds are bright; in mid-winter, the snow is white, and the entire scenic area is covered in silver.

The natural mountain fortress Songshan Sanhuangzhai, hanging on the waist of Shaoshi Mountain, is one of the landmarks on Songshan Mountain. You can pick the stars with your hands and look around to enjoy the infinite scenery. The mountain is steep and slippery, and the top of the mountain is flat and wide. It has the characteristics of the majesty of Mount Tai, the danger of Mount Hua, the strangeness of Mount Beiheng, and the beauty of Mount Nanheng. It is famous in the Central Plains for its strange peaks, dangerous roads, strange rocks, and beautiful scenery.
To go to Sanhuangzhai, you need to take a cable car, and the round-trip ticket is 100 yuan. (The best route is to go up to Sanhuangzhai and take a one-way cable car down the mountain. This way you don't have to repeat the same route, which seems reasonable.) The mountain is not special when you take the cable car. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the top of the mountain, and it still looks ordinary. Along the stone path, the peaks and the turns are bright. The word "precipitous" jumps out. It is different from all other mountains, with a unique and breathtaking landform. Only here is the word "precipitous" most appropriate. The rocks stand in a forest, like a book cliff with books arranged in an orderly manner on a bookshelf.
Geologists say that the strange peaks and rocks of Songshan are unique in China and unparalleled in the world. The steep, dangerous and rugged cliffs are unparalleled wonders of China!
I saw many Koreans taking pictures with cameras on the road.
The plank road is built along the mountain, and the fence is lined with steel bars, which is very safe. Although it is on the edge of the cliff, it is basically in the middle of the mountain, and the rise is not very large. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to get from the cable car to Sanhuangzhai one way.
Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area is an important part of Songshan World Geopark, Songshan Scenic Area and Songshan National Forest Park. It is a scenic area in Songshan Scenic Area that is dominated by mountain natural scenery. It is beautiful beyond words. Xu Xiake of the Ming Dynasty wrote in a poem: "Songshan is the most mysterious mountain in the world, Shaoshi is dangerous and unique. If you don't go to Sanhuangzhai, you are not a Shaolin tourist." Even if you walk the same route repeatedly, you won't feel wronged.
There weren't too many tourists. I turned back after reaching the Three Emperors Temple. I personally think that the intensity here is not too high. There was a girl who climbed the mountain in slippers, but she felt it was inconvenient, so she simply went up and down barefoot. I really admire her! We traveled back and forth on the mountain for five hours, and then went down the cable car to watch a half-hour martial arts performance. As the saying goes, experts see the doorway, and I, an outsider, just watched the excitement.
The Shaolin cableway leads to Sanhuangzhai, which is the most beautiful scenic spot in Songshan. Songshan is divided into Taishi Mountain and Shaoshi Mountain. Shaolin Temple and Sanhuangzhai are both located in Shaoshi Mountain, but the scenery of Taishi Mountain is not as good as that of Shaoshi Mountain. Take the cableway to the upper station and walk a few hundred meters to Sanhuang plank road. The unique scenery of Songshan Mountain comes into view. The peaks are strange and the roads are dangerous. From a distance, the mountain looks like a stack of books. Walking on the plank road along the mountain and the cliff is a bit scary. In terms of the scenery of the mountain, I think it can be compared with Huangshan and Huashan. Xu Xiake, a traveler in the Ming Dynasty, wrote in a poem: "If you have not been to Sanhuangzhai, you are not considered a Shaolin tourist."
It seems not far to Liantian Bridge and Sanhuang Temple, but it is really far to walk there. We walked for more than an hour and asked the tourists who returned, and they said it would take another hour. Xiaobao was so tired that he fell asleep, and the road was quite dangerous, so we had to turn back.
The scenic area includes two parts: Shaolin Temple and Sanhuangzhai (the ticket is a pass), of which Sanhuangzhai is a part of Songshan World Geopark, Songshan Scenic Area and Songshan National Forest Park. Sanhuangzhai belongs to the Shaoshi Mountain System of Songshan Mountain Range, and is named after the natural mountain village on the mountainside. The main peak of Shaoshi Mountain, Liantian Peak, is 1,512 meters above sea level, the highest peak of Zhongyue Songshan. The scenic area is dominated by mountain natural scenery. Over Shaoshi Mountain is the famous Shaolin Temple.
Sanhuangzhai got its name because of the Emperor of Heaven, Emperor of Earth and Emperor of Man enshrined there.
It is a natural mountain village hanging on the waist of Shaoshi Mountain. The whole scenic area has steep and slippery mountains and a flat and wide top. It is famous in the Central Plains for its strange peaks, dangerous roads, strange rocks and beautiful scenery. It is a rare natural landscape in northern my country. The scenic area is lush with forests and a wide variety of species; the geological types are complete, the rock age is ancient, the configuration is peculiar, the development is complete, and the exposure is good. In a limited range, various landforms of the five geological ages of Archaeocene, Archaic, Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic can be seen. It is called a "natural geological museum" by geologists.
Mount Song is divided into Mount Taishi and Mount Shaoshi. You can start climbing Mount Taishi from Sanhuangzhai because the most beautiful scenery of Mount Song can be seen from here. You can see spectacular rocks, beautiful scenery, and the most beautiful book cliffs, as if you are walking in a painting.
You must have enough time and energy to go to Sanhuangzhai! Even if you take the cable car back and forth, it takes 4 hours. Take the Shaolin cable car to Sanhuangzhai. For a simple day trip, go to Sanhuangzhai early in the morning and visit Shaolin Temple in the afternoon, which will give you plenty of time.
Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area is an important part of Songshan World Geopark, Songshan Scenic Area and Songshan National Forest Park. It is a scenic area in Songshan Scenic Area with mountain natural scenery as the main feature. It is located on the west foot of Shaoshi Mountain in Songshan, Dengfeng City, Henan Province, 15 kilometers away from the urban area of Dengfeng. It borders the Shaolin Temple Scenic Area in the north and covers a total area of about 35 square kilometers. It has unique natural scenery and rich cultural landscapes, making it a good place for sightseeing. It can be said that 80% of the most beautiful scenery in Songshan is here.
We took the cable car to Sanhuangzhai. Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area is an important part of Songshan World Geopark, Songshan Scenic Area and Songshan National Forest Park. It is a scenic area in Songshan Scenic Area that focuses on mountain natural scenery. The plank road built on the cliffs is very spectacular. It started to rain lightly, and the mountain was filled with fog, which became more and more cold. Unfortunately, we had limited time and could not walk to Sanhuangzhai, so we had to return.
We only walked as far as the Sanhuang Zen Temple and then walked back. Except for the Shuce Cliff, the rest seemed quite dull.
It was snowing when we went there, and even the cable car stopped early, so we could only sigh at the view from afar.
Sanhuangzhai should be newly built. In fact, there is not much to see. If you want to save effort, it is enough to climb to the suspension bridge and look into the distance.
The most beautiful place in Songshan is in Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area, because the rocks here are very beautiful, each one is very distinctive.
Sanhuangzhai is part of Shaoshi Mountain, and is divided into different scenic areas from Songshan Mountain (Taishu Mountain). The main entrance is Shaolin Temple. We went up the mountain from the north gate, which is quite far away. The scenery here is more precipitous, especially the plank road on the mountainside, which is frightening in some places. There are relatively few tourists in the scenic area and it is very quiet. If you are not just climbing the mountain, it is more suitable for sightseeing than Songshan Mountain.
Sanhuangzhai belongs to the Shaoshi Mountain and is also part of Songshan Mountain. Songshan Mountain is mainly divided into Shaoshi Mountain and Taishi Mountain. Shaoshi Mountain has beautiful scenery and is slightly easier to climb. Taishi Mountain is slightly more difficult to climb, but it is the main peak of Songshan Mountain. Since I can't climb both mountains in one day, I chose to climb them separately in two days to conquer Songshan Mountain~
Due to their close locations, tickets to Sanhuangzhai and Shaolin Temple are often sold together. It is recommended to enter from Sanhuangzhai and exit from Shaolin Temple. (Because there are few cars returning to the city from the foot of Sanhuangzhai, but there are many at Shaolin Temple.) Sanhuangzhai is not difficult to climb. If you have good physical strength, like me, you can finish the climb in three and a half hours.
The scenery is beautiful, but very tiring. I walked from Sanhuangzhai to the cable car, and finally to Shaolin Temple.
Don't miss Sanhuangzhai when you go to Shaolin Temple Scenic Area. It is more beautiful than Songshan Mountain. Take a taxi to Haohanpo and don't go back. It is the best route to Shaolin Temple.
2018.8.12 The grandfather and I visited Shaoshi Mountain, climbed all the way from Haohanpo to Nantianmen and finally arrived at Sanhuangzhai Zen Temple; the scenery here is very beautiful, surrounded by clouds and mist, like a fairyland;
Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area is an important part of Songshan World Geopark, Songshan Scenic Area and Songshan National Forest Park. It is a scenic area in Songshan Scenic Area dominated by mountain natural scenery. We arrived relatively early, and there were not many people climbing the mountain from Sanhuangzhai. The ticket price was 100 yuan, and the student ticket was 50 yuan. It was a combination ticket for Sanhuangzhai + Shaolin Temple + Shaolin martial arts performance.
The Three Emperors are: Heaven, Earth and Man.
I don't know how high I climbed, but I reached the Three Emperors Hall, the Three Emperors of Heaven, Earth and Man. This is basically the highest point of the Three Emperors Village. Going further, it's a staggered uphill and downhill. I won't keep climbing, but will move forward along the winding plank road. Walk along the plank road to the opposite side and you can see the whole cave.
The starting point of the Shaoshishan hiking trail, it is recommended that you start climbing from here and then go down to the Shaolin Temple. The scenery of this section of the mountain road is beautiful and the climbing is not difficult. It costs 40 yuan to charter a car from Dengfeng Bus Station to the Sanhuangzhai Mountain Gate.
The beautiful scenery of Songshan is all here. It is recommended to go up from Shaolin Temple and go down the other side. The Sanhuangzhai side is very steep.
The entrance to Sanhuangzhai is relatively low, so there are relatively more steps leading up. This is a good choice for those who want to complete the entire journey but dare not look down.
Mainly watch the natural scenery, as well as the geological movement changes of Songshan, and learn about it while climbing the mountain
It takes two days to visit Songshan, one day to visit Shaolin Temple Sanhuangzhai, and one day to visit Taishi Mountain. If you are not going to conquer the Five Sacred Mountains, you should not go to Taishi Mountain, as the scenery is very ordinary. There is also Songyang Academy, which can be visited in 10 minutes. You must visit Zhongyue Temple.
The scenery of Songshan is still very beautiful!
It is recommended to enter from Sanhuangzhai and exit from Shaolin Temple!
This way you don't have to go back, but...
😏You have to make sure you have enough physical strength and leg strength, and also have a spirit of hard work!
I was almost exhausted. Can you imagine how many steps there are on Mount Song? My legs were so weak after a day of climbing...
(I was so tired because I went alone)
The scenery is still very beautiful! Just walk and stop, talk and encourage each other, and then enjoy the endless scenery!
Finally...
Shaolin Temple five-star bad review!
What the hell! I'm about to swear!
Where is the first ancient temple that we promised?
What happened to the saying that all martial arts in the world originated from Shaolin?
What about the promised rules and regulations for monks?
All I saw were places full of decay and a strong commercial atmosphere!
(I have different opinions, please don’t criticize if you don’t like it)
(ps: When you walk to the last Western Saint Hall in Shaolin Temple, you can see some small pits on the ground. This is where the Shaolin monks practiced martial arts in the past. This is exactly the same as in the movie, which is a bit comforting)
It is included in the Shaolin Temple ticket. It is recommended to go back from the back mountain for convenience.
It is better to climb the mountain from Sanhuangzhai to see the scenery. There are too many people in Shaolin Temple, but it is very tiring to climb from Sanhuangzhai. . .
It is very tiring and it is not the main peak of Zhongyue Songshan.
Only after I went there did I know what it meant to climb a mountain and run to death. It took me 1.5 hours just to climb to the cableway that spans the two mountains. It was all up and down stairs, which was very exciting. It is worth going for sports enthusiasts, especially fitness enthusiasts. In the end, I just looked at the top of Sanhuangzhai from a distance on the top of the mountain and decided to come down, otherwise I would miss the cableway. It left a trace of mystery, which is worth surpassing next time!
I went there in summer before, but this time it was almost winter, and it was raining, I almost froze to death! But since I'm going there again, it must be beautiful 😄
It exceeded my expectations, I must recommend it, it's worth watching, you will regret it if you don't watch it
I highly recommend the scenery of Sanhuangzhai, especially for geology enthusiasts. The cableway and plank road are highly recommended.
After visiting Shaolin Temple and climbing up Shaoshi Mountain, I have already felt the stunning beauty of Songshan Mountain on the steep ancient cliffs. But when I saw the towering Sanhuangzhai on the cliffs ahead, the word "shocking" could not express my inner feelings. It is so magical, so beautiful, and so desirable. Even though my feet are tired and the road ahead is getting more and more dangerous, I resolutely strode forward, just wanting to reach it as soon as possible...
Walking along the plank road, the mountains are steep and the scenery is beautiful
It is a very worthwhile place to visit, on the Shaoshi Mountain, with its peculiar and dangerous scenery, mainly for the scenery. Sanhuangzhai enshrines the Three Emperors of Heaven, Earth and Man, and believers can worship them.
The mountain where Shaolin Temple is located is Shaoshi Mountain, and the Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area on the mountain also belongs to the Shaolin Temple Scenic Area.
You can also go up the mountain from the back mountain of Shaoshi Mountain, the entrance of Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area, and go directly up the mountain to Sanhuangzhai, which is closer. The ticket is the same as that of Shaolin Temple Scenic Area, which is 2 gates of the same scenic area.
Usually, a one-day tour is to go to Sanhuangzhai after visiting Shaolin Temple. First, take the cable car up the mountain, and then climb the mountain to Sanhuangzhai. Along the way, you can see the beautiful scenery of Songshan Mountain. The cable car stops running at 5:30. It takes about three hours to go from the cable car station to Sanhuangzhai if you are in good health and can climb fast, and then take the cable car down the mountain. Because I didn’t have enough time to join the group, I turned back before climbing to Sanhuangzhai. Personally, if you have been to Huashan and you are short of time, you can skip it and just visit Shaolin Temple.
We visited Sanhuangzhai and Shaolin Temple on the same day. The environment was great. Many people went to Shaolin Temple first and then to Sanhuangzhai, so they could only see a small part of the scenery. We started climbing from the Sanhuangzhai scenic area. Although it was tiring, we also enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
After passing the pagoda forest and walking a few hundred meters, you will reach the fork road to Sanhuangzhai. We bought a round-trip cable car for 100 yuan. It rained all day. If you want to climb the mountain, I really recommend entering Shaolin Temple from Sanhuangkou. After taking the cable car from Shaolin Temple to the climbing point of Sanhuangzhai, it takes more than 1.5 hours one way to reach the final Sanhuang Temple. On the way to climb, many people gave up halfway before reaching the end. Even if they insisted on reaching the top, there was no corresponding landscape. There was only one Sanhuang Temple available for visit, and there was a temple nearby that could not be entered and was closed.
I personally think that it is a more reasonable choice to go to Songshan Shaoshishan Scenic Area from Sanhuangzhai, so you don't have to go back, and you can appreciate the beautiful scenery of Songshan.
The 100 yuan ticket to Shaolin Temple includes the Sanhuangzhai scenic area. If you want to visit Sanhuangzhai, there are two routes. One is to climb the mountain from Sanhuangzhai and then take the cable car down the mountain. The second is to take the cable car up the mountain from Shaolin Temple. The first one is suitable for a group of young and middle-aged people. If you bring the elderly or children of a few years old, it will be too tiring, because after reading the online guide, it takes at least 5 hours to climb from the entrance of Sanhuangzhai to Shaolin, and the terrain is steep. Climbing down can be half-tired, but there is also an advantage, that is, you don’t have to go back from Sanhuangzhai. We took our 4-year-old baby and chose the second one. Once we entered Shaolin, we skipped Shaolin Temple and took a tour bus directly to the pagoda forest. Then we walked a few hundred meters and took the Shaolin cable car to Sanhuangzhai. The round-trip ticket during the Spring Festival is 80, and you must buy a round-trip ticket! ! ! After getting off the cable car, it’s the Sanhuangzhai plank road. At this time, you feel that the ticket price of 100 yuan is still worth it. My baby was great. He followed us all the way without being held. He followed us all the way to the suspension bridge. I wanted to write more, but I had some things to do, so I'll stop here.
If you don’t visit Sanhuangzhai, you are not a Shaolin tourist. Most people go to Shaolin Temple just to see the temples and pagodas, but actually the best scenery is to climb the mountain to Sanhuangzhai.
Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area is an important part of Songshan World Geopark, Songshan Scenic Area and Songshan National Forest Park. It is a scenic area in Songshan Scenic Area with mountain natural scenery as the main feature. It is located at the western foot of Shaoshi Mountain in Songshan, Dengfeng City, Henan Province, 15 kilometers away from the urban area of Dengfeng. It borders Shaolin Temple Scenic Area in the north and covers a total area of about 35 square kilometers. It has unique natural scenery and rich cultural landscapes, making it a good place for sightseeing.
After leaving the Pagoda Forest, continue walking for a while and you will reach the cable car ticket office. There are two cable car ticket offices almost opposite each other on both sides of the road. One section is called Shaolin Cableway, which is from Pagoda Forest to Sanhuangzhai. The ticket price is 80 yuan (round trip). After getting off the cable car, the route is through the Sanhuang plank road, Liantian suspension bridge, to the Sanhuang Zen Temple, and then return the same way. Because I haven't seen the martial arts performance in Shaolin Temple yet, friends who have seen the performance can buy a one-way cable car ticket and go directly down the mountain from the direction of Sanhuangzhai, which can save physical strength and go back less. The landform on the Sanhuang plank road side is really very obvious. The plank road is located halfway up the cliff, with a cliff on one side and a cliff on the other. The narrow place can accommodate one person. Sanhuangzhai is located in Shaoshi Mountain. Songshan includes Taishi Mountain and Shaoshi Mountain. Legend has it that they are the big and small wives of King Yu, and Shaoshi Mountain is King Yu's little wife. The highest peak of Songshan is on the Shaoshi Mountain side, called Liantian Peak, with an altitude of 1,512 meters. However, it is undeveloped and ordinary people cannot climb up. Only professional mountaineering teams have the courage to challenge it.
Sanhuangzhai is the place with the best natural scenery in Songshan. The best sightseeing route is to enter from the South Gate and exit from Shaolin Temple. The most famous attractions include Liantian Suspension Bridge and Shuce Cliff. The whole journey is more than 10 kilometers and takes about 5 hours.
We took a taxi to the gate of Sanhuangzhai, the price was 40 yuan. The driver was very enthusiastic and told us a lot about the local customs. We arrived at the parking lot of Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area at around 8 o'clock and bought tickets to enter the scenic area. The pass for Shaolin Temple Sanhuangzhai was 100 yuan. Climbing from the parking lot to Shaolin Temple, there are rich natural landscapes along the way, especially geological wonders. The road is not particularly dangerous, and people with average physical strength can easily take it. It takes about 3 to 4 hours.
When talking about Songshan Mountain, everyone will definitely think of Shaolin Temple. In fact, there are not many attractions in Shaolin Temple. If you only go to Shaolin Temple, it is a pity. Songshan Mountain is divided into two mountains, Shaoshi Mountain and Taishi Mountain. The national road from Dengfeng to Luoyang is between the two mountains. Shaoshi Mountain has more tourists, more scenic spots, and more beautiful natural scenery than Taishi Mountain. The most beautiful one is the road from Sanhuangzhai to Shaolin Temple Cableway, which is the essence of Songshan Mountain. The attractions of Shaoshi Mountain are Sanhuangzhai, Liantian Suspension Bridge, Book Cliff Book, Pagoda Forest, Shaolin Temple, Bodhidharma Cave, etc. It took us more than 7 hours to walk all the way. Taishi Mountain has Junji Peak to climb to the top, and Songyang Academy can be visited. It is impossible to travel through both mountains in one day, and it usually takes two days. Be careful if you drive yourself! ! The parking lot of Sanhuangzhai is more than 10 kilometers away from the Shaolin parking lot. It is recommended to drive to the Sanhuangzhai parking lot, then walk up the mountain, enjoy the scenery along the way, go down the mountain after visiting Shaolin Temple, take a taxi to the Shaolin parking lot back to Sanhuangzhai and then drive again, because there are many taxis in the Shaolin parking lot and it is easy to get a taxi.
If your physical strength allows, you can go and take a look.
The ticket to Shaolin Temple is 100 yuan, including the Sanhuangzhai scenic area. After visiting Shaolin Temple and watching the martial arts performance, you can take the cable car to Sanhuangzhai to climb the mountain. The one-way cable car is 50 yuan, and the round-trip ticket is 80 yuan, which is quite expensive. Get off the cable car and start climbing. It is 24K pure climbing, nothing else. The mountain is steep, surrounded by clouds and mist, and the scenery is beautiful. It is worthy of the name of Zhongsong. It rains from time to time, so bring rain gear. The last cable car is at 17:30. Those who buy return tickets should arrange the time to avoid delays.
The scenery is very beautiful. It is recommended to do some research before going. Because some attractions can be missed if you are not careful. I prefer the mountains that look like pork belly.
A temple on the Shaoshi Mountain. I started climbing from the entrance of Sanhuangzhai at around 9 o'clock and climbed for more than half an hour. It happened that the temple was having morning prayers, so I couldn't enter. From the outside, the temple is very gorgeous and worth a visit.
There is no bus from Dengfeng Bus Station to the entrance of Sanhuangzhai. I called a taxi for 50. As soon as I entered the entrance, there was a long and steep staircase - Haohanpo, which was a bit tiring and there was no view. After this section, it became a little flatter, the view was much wider, and the scenery became more and more pleasant.
Under the glory of Shaolin Temple, Songshan Mountain has become much dimmer, and Sanhuangzhai, located in the back of Shaoshi Mountain, is rarely mentioned. However, if you don't go to Sanhuangzhai, it would be a pity to go to Songshan Mountain. The truth is that there are really few people here, especially those who enter from Sanhuangzhai. Sanhuang Plank Road is a road built on the ridge connecting Sanhuangzhai and Shaolin Temple. Most tourists come from the direction of Shaolin Temple. They usually return after walking to the suspension bridge. The second suspension bridge is only half the way. It is a good route to enter from Sanhuangzhai and go all the way through and exit from Shaolin Temple.
The ticket is a combined ticket of 100 yuan. It costs 40 yuan to take a taxi to Sanhuangzhai. There is a bus at the entrance of Shaolin Temple, which is very convenient to go back.
The scenery is very attractive. As soon as you enter the door, you will be impressed by the more than 100 steps. After climbing them, you will feel that nothing can be more difficult than this!
Xu Xiake once said: If you haven't been to Sanhuangzhai, you are not a Shaolin visitor. The unique geological structure has created the unique scenery of Sanhuangzhai, which makes you marvel at the wonders of nature. However, the journey to Sanhuangzhai is quite tiring. Although there is a cable car, it can only reach the entrance of Sanhuangzhai. The mountain road to Sanhuangzhai is still very long. Perhaps only after a long journey to Sanhuangzhai, you can truly appreciate the charm of Zhongyue Songshan.
It feels like everyone is heading for the suspension bridge and plank road. The Hero's Slope is waiting for you.
Sanhuangzhai is part of Songshan and Shaoshishan. There are relatively few cultural landscapes, and most of them are natural peaks and landforms. There are Sanhuang plank roads, Songshan stalagmites, and azaleas in the mountains, which are all very beautiful. The scenery is nothing to say, but the service can't keep up. There are only a few merchants in Sanhuangzhai selling food, drinking water, and special handicrafts. It can be seen that there are still a lot of tourism resources here that can be developed. Compared with the Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area and the Taishan Scenic Area, Sanhuangzhai is completely equivalent to an undeveloped primitive scenic spot, and Taishan is a fairly mature scenic spot. Then there is the Songshan Shaolin Cableway, which is more of a pit for tourists. When tourists first arrive, the staff there will catch one and pit one. Tourists don't know much about this attraction, so in order to sell tickets for the cableway, they all tell tourists that they must buy round-trip tickets, which causes tourists to go back a lot and be exhausted. This suggestion is for the long-term development of the scenic spot, or have a conscience.
If you just visit Shaolin Temple, it is really nice, but I don't know why they have to add Sanhuangzhai. I think it is a huge rip-off. You have to buy a ticket for 100 yuan and take the cable car to Sanhuangzhai for 80 yuan. It's really ridiculous. There is nothing to see when you take the cable car to Sanhuangzhai, just some special landforms. I don't know why everyone says Sanhuangzhai is better than Songshan. Maybe hiking is better. Anyway, the Sanhuangzhai we saw was all bad.
Because I was in a hurry, I had to take the cable car, which cost me 80 yuan more. The cable car took quite a long time, and the distance was really too long. After reaching the top, it took another 2-3 hours to reach the Liantian Cable Bridge and the temple. The whole journey was a special kind of folded fault mountain landscape, and the rest was really average. Anyway, it was really boring to take the cable car up the mountain, and I don’t know how it would be if I climbed the mountain. Anyway, don’t take the cable car up, you will find it’s too bad.
The reason we went in was to see the Liantian Cable Bridge. It was a decent thing, a bridge connecting two valleys.
Sanhuangzhai is in Shaoshi Mountain. You need to take a cable car from Shaolin and walk for 3 hours to get there. There are very few people here. The scenery is very good and worth a visit. Please bring more water with you, as there are few people selling water along the way.
It is a good place to climb Songshan Mountain from here. It is nice to climb the mountain for half a day.
After coming out of Tallinn, I bought a cable car ticket to go directly to the prayer platform, and then climbed the mountain all the way to Sanhuangzhai. The plank road is very long. This road looks not far, but it is still quite time-consuming to walk. When I went there in February, there were still icy places on the mountain, which was a bit slippery. However, after arriving at Sanhuangzhai, I was not amazed by the terrain. On the contrary, I felt it was too hot and there was nothing to see. There is still no public transportation from Sanhuangzhai to Dengfeng City or the main gate of Shaolin Temple.
It is also very frustrating that there is no water in the toilet, even in a 5A-level scenic spot!
There is a Taoist temple on Mount Songshan. I didn’t dare to enter because I didn’t understand it.
Sanhuangzhai, the scenery in winter is not as good as Taishishan, but I heard it is the opposite in summer
Very beautiful. I feel that the beauty of Songshan is all in Sanhuangzhai. It was drizzling when I went there, and the clouds and mist were like a fairyland.
Sanhuangzhai, the stubbornness and splendor of life everywhere
The most famous ones are Songshan Zen Temple and Sanhuang Plank Road. The Zen Temple is a stone-based Zen temple in the mountains, which is very time-traveling, and the Sanhuang Plank Road has a famous book page scene.
Starting from Zhengzhou, go to the bus station next to the train station to take a shuttle bus to Dengfeng (I have to complain that the bus is so dirty, and there are things left by previous passengers without cleaning). The highway in the city is very congested, so it is recommended not to sleep on the highway. I slept for a while and woke up to find that the scenery on the road was great. What a pity. After arriving at Dengfeng Station, I directly found a taxi outside to Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area for 40 yuan. I arrived at Sanhuangzhai at about 1 o'clock and left the gate of Shaolin Temple Scenic Area at 5 o'clock, walking the whole way. Here are some suggestions for everyone. First of all, if you don't go to Sanhuangzhai, you will find that the 100 yuan ticket is not worth it. The Shaolin Temple Scenic Area at the foot of the mountain is more like a big park. You have to walk for a long time before you can see the real Shaolin Temple. It feels very deserted without incense. If you want to climb the mountain, it is recommended not to go up the mountain from the Shaolin Temple side. There are trees next to the mountain path, which is too low compared to the cliffs of Sanhuangzhai. The correct route should start from Sanhuangzhai and then take the cable car down the mountain (although I walked down the mountain, I still recommend that you take the cable car to save time and energy. Because there are no surprises on the way down the mountain, the scenery of the cable car is probably better). When hiking, remember to prepare water and dry food (Snickers bars are recommended for quick blood circulation). It took me almost two hours to get to the cable car. I suggest you don't go hiking in the hot summer sun, as you may get burned. Finally, if you don't like hiking, you can take the cable car up the mountain from Shaolin Temple, walk a distance in the direction of Sanhuangzhai, and then turn back to take the cable car down the mountain (it is not recommended to walk to the exit of Sanhuangzhai, as there are not many cars going back). There is a bus at the entrance of Shaolin Temple that can take you back to Dengfeng, and I was going to Luoyang, so I waited on the opposite side of the road for the Luoyang bus, which was about 20 minutes.
My boyfriend has been to Sanhuangzhai four or five times. He took me there once. We regarded climbing Sanhuangzhai as a way to exercise. We will go there again on New Year's Day this year. This time, I am afraid that other sections of Songshan Mountain will be difficult to reach.
Sanhuangzhai is located in the west of Zhengzhou City and is a famous scenic spot in Songshan. Sanhuangzhai is inside the Shaolin Scenic Area. After passing the Shaolin Temple, you need to take a round-trip cable car for 80 yuan to get up. After reaching the upper station of the cable car, you still have to walk on the plank road, which takes about two or three hours to reach the top of Sanhuangzhai. On the plank road, you can feel the danger of Songshan. The plank road is built along the mountain, so the road is still a bit rugged. The water vapor in the mountain is very heavy and the visibility is very low. It is also difficult to see the people on the opposite plank road when walking on the plank road. Sanhuangzhai is very high, and generally few people climb up, but it is indeed the best place for the scenery in Songshan.
Songshan Sanhuangzhai, Beishan and Shaolin Temple are adjacent to each other. Take a bus from Zhengzhou to Dengfeng, and you can take a taxi to Sanhuangzhai after getting off the bus. The price we negotiated with the driver is 45. This is the scene as soon as we enter the mountain gate... There are endless long steps like a ladder to heaven. Almost no one walks on this road. Except for the unique cicada chirping in summer accompanying us walking in the mountains, more people come in from the direction of Shaolin Temple. During the climbing process, we met many apprentices of Shaolin Martial Arts School, the youngest of whom is only 6 years old. Maybe climbing Songshan is a physical training for them?
Sanhuangzhai is a very good scenic spot. The ticket for the Shaolin Temple is 100 yuan per person. Students can get half price.
It is recommended to start from Sanhuangzhai and end at Shaolin Temple. The reason for this is that there are fewer people in Sanhuangzhai. There are too many people in Shaolin Temple, and after visiting Shaolin Temple, you may not have the motivation to go to Sanhuangzhai.
We arrived at Sanhuangzhai early in the morning and slowly started climbing the mountain to enjoy the scenery along the way. It was really beautiful, much better than Shaolin Temple.
I definitely recommend having a good time in this place, which is much better than looking at those newly built shabby buildings in Shaolin Temple.
The Block Mountain is the most beautiful place in Songshan.
After reading the guide, I chose to hike up the mountain near Sanhuangzhai, and it turned out to be the right choice. The road was not repaired until late July, and I saw areas that had been repaired for landslides halfway through. I was lucky to be able to hike there once.
There are black cars at the bus station that take the initiative to pick up passengers. The fare is 50 yuan. I personally recommend this method. It takes 30 minutes to drive. The distance is indeed far. The driver is also very friendly and will take you directly to the ticket office at the entrance of the mountain. If you have plenty of time, you can choose bus No. 3 and then drive back. It is estimated that it will take an extra hour to half an hour, and it is said that you can save half of the RMB.
We started climbing at 10 o'clock. We walked quite fast along the way. The scenery was very nice, similar to the steepness of Mount Huashan. I guess there are too few people climbing here, so there are only 2 or 3 water selling points along the way. Please be sure to prepare and bring more water in advance. We arrived at Pagoda Forest at 1:40 pm. I was not very interested in the temple, so I just walked around and went out the main gate at 2:30. The ticket cost 100 yuan, but I think Shaolin is only worth 20. If I entered through the main gate and wanted to see the scenery of the back mountain, I would choose to return to Shaolin Temple by the same route. There are too many ways to go, and it is conservatively estimated to take 6 or 7 hours. Sanhuangzhai is too deserted, and there may be no car to take you back to the city after coming down.
The next day, I got up early and took a taxi to Shaoshi Mountain, starting from Sanhuangzhai, and then took the cable car down to Shaolin Temple. It depends on personal habits. If you go up from Shaolin Temple and down from Sanhuangzhai, there may be fewer cars going back, and it is difficult to share a car. In addition, the fare is a bit expensive.
Shaoshi Mountain is especially recommended, which includes Shaolin Temple and Sanhuangzhai. The scenery is beautiful and the ticket price is 100 yuan.
