Hankou River Beach

Adjacent to Longwang Temple and Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, and facing the Yellow Crane Tower Scenic Area, it is a unique landscape center in the central area of Wuhan.
Hankou River Beach is a park-like leisure place for citizens. Together with Wuchang River Beach and Hanyang River Beach, it has become a famous public leisure place in the city.
The most famous thing on the river beach is the late autumn reeds, which are distributed near the Second Yangtze River Bridge and stretch for about 4 km. Such a large reed bush in the city center is unique among major cities in China and is a beautiful scenery in Wuhan.
The cherry blossom season is from February to March. There are many varieties of cherry blossoms scattered around, which is very artistic. If you want to see them in full bloom, you can go to the Riverside Cherry Garden.

In late October, the weather was nice. I came here after visiting Wuhan Tiandi. In my opinion, the river beach is actually a huge park with many entrances, and locals also like to walk around here. Not far away from the river, there is a large reed marsh (Hankou River Beach Reed Marsh Phase 2), which is super beautiful. You can enjoy the reed marsh along the landscape corridor. There are several downward passages on the corridor, and you can go into the reed marsh for a stroll. However, the downhill path of the landscape corridor has not been installed, but it can't stop people's enthusiasm for nature. Although the reed marsh is large, the path inside is very clear. You can walk out along the road without worrying about getting lost. Looking at the reeds and the Wuhan Yangtze River Second Bridge in the distance, plus a few birds flying in the sky from time to time, it is still quite romantic when I recall it now. Walking south along the river beach, you will see a square. Because of the river breeze and warm sun, super many people buy kites here to fly, and there are also patches of sunflowers planted here. The romance of the river beach reed marsh, the warmth of parent-child kites, and the leisure of three or two friends make us feel that the world is extremely beautiful. The only pity is that bicycles are not allowed on the river beach. Because the transition distance is too long, we can only walk and stop and take more rests.

It's amazing! It's a paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can listen to everything nature brings you here quietly. There are a lot of Olympic champion sculptures and sports equipment on both sides of the road. Men, women, young and old, and professional fitness enthusiasts can exercise here. I walked a large part of the entire Hankou River Beach and took two breaks. I almost fell asleep each time. It was really comfortable.

Exit from the east exit of Jianghan Road and walk along Yanjiang Avenue for ten minutes to Hankou Riverside Park. It is by the Yangtze River. There are sightseeing buses to the Second Bridge, or you can walk. There are also bicycles that you can rent for several people to ride together. Hankou River Beach has witnessed the prosperity of Wuhan. The unruly water of the Yangtze River, the path paved with warm goose stones, the lifelike sculptures of the Republic of China, and the winter jade trees constitute the unique charm of Wuhan. Strolling along the river beach, listening to the rhythm of the river, quietly integrating into the vicissitudes of Hankou's past. In addition, the parking lot of Hankou River Beach is very large, stretching for several kilometers, which is very convenient to drive and the parking fee is not expensive. If you take a car, the surrounding public transportation is also very convenient.

Based on the "Sixteen Scenic Spots of Shahu", Shahu Park integrates modern design concepts to create the "Ten Scenic Spots of Shahu", which are distributed in five areas. Shahu Park, located at No. 139 Shahu Avenue, Xujiapeng Street, Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, is the second largest "city lake" in Wuhan after East Lake, and is also a lake within the inner ring road of Wuhan City. The park covers a large area, has beautiful scenery and a beautiful environment, and is an ideal place for citizens to relax and play.

Opening hours: Open all year round

Ticket price: Free

Subway: Take Metro Line 4 and get off at Dongting Station, then ride for a few minutes to arrive. Or take Metro Line 8 to Xujiapeng Station, then walk for about 15 minutes to arrive.

Bus: Take Bus No. 540, 583, 627, or 777 and get off at Qinyuan East Road Zhongbei Road Intersection Station. It is a short walk to the destination.

Self-driving: Navigate to Shahu Park, where there is a parking lot available for parking.

It is about 2 kilometers away from Gude Temple, so we walked there.

Before I went there, I saw several travel notes praising the Wuchang River Beach as more rustic and better, but after visiting it, I prefer the Hankou River Beach. In terms of landscape, the scenery along the Hankou River Beach is more beautiful, and in terms of comfort, the design of the Hankou River Beach makes people more comfortable. It has pedestrian trails with trees for shade, and there is also a jogging path near the shore where you can see a lot of fishermen.

The Wuhan Hankou River Beach, known as "two rivers, four embankments, eight forest belts, and a night sky full of fireworks and silver flowers", is located near the Wuhan Yangtze River Second Bridge. After crossing the Yangtze River by boat from the First Bridge (the boat fare is 1.5 yuan), you can take a taxi directly to the River Beach Park. In fact, the entire riverside area from the First Bridge to the Second Bridge can be called the River Beach, but the night view of the River Beach near the Second Bridge is particularly beautiful. There are many aquatic plants here. You can walk a long way into the river from the river bank. There is a wooden corridor, which is a good viewing platform.

By Timothy |

Hankou's longest public square and park, a great place for exercise. Running along the river is a real pleasure. It's about 6 kilometers from the Jianghan Customs area all the way north to the Second Bridge.

By Gui Xiaorui |

The view of Wuchang District from Hankou River Beach is also very beautiful. I wandered around and came to the Crossing Yangtze River Museum, which is free to visit with an ID card. There are not many tourists. It mainly talks about several bridges connecting the two sides and cross-river tours across the Yangtze River.

By Chu Yunfei QQ |

The green park in Wuhan city, relying on the Yangtze River embankment, forms a long and narrow park, which is a good place for citizens and tourists to relax. Hankou River Beach is much larger than Wuchang River Beach. Hankou River Beach is the best place to enjoy the night view of Wuhan Yangtze River Second Bridge, while Wuchang River Beach is the best place to enjoy the night view of Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge.

By No name can be taken |

Haha, actually, after visiting Hubu Lane, you can take a ferry directly to Hankou River Beach. The ferry ticket is very cheap. Later, I was confused about whether to take a Yangtze River cruise. In the end, I didn't go.

By Sun Anke |

Love this!! The scenery by the river is great!! And the people who come here are also very good at living ~ leisurely!! I also saw the bunkers built by children ~ maybe adults? ? Playing in the mud by the river can be said to be the childhood memory of Wuhan people. It’s great to be lucky enough to see it~

When the weather is fine, you can stroll along the beach and enjoy the scenery of the Han River. However, when I went there in July, it was the flood season of the Yangtze River, and the famous reeds on the riverside were flooded and only the tops were exposed.

By Backpackers traveling in the south |

A great place to overlook the Yangtze River and watch the sunset!!

By Leisurely |

There are many sculptures and monuments in Hankou Riverside Park, and there are also introductions to paleontology on the embankment, which is suitable for citizens to stroll around.

By Forest of Courage |

We missed the best season for reeds, and only a small patch was left. The riverside is not very big, and I think Hanyang River Beach is more beautiful.

By One person's heart° 1/m* |

The river beach is very long, and it feels like I can walk there for a lifetime with the one I love.

By Jiangzhou Sima |

The scenery is really good. In order not to miss the beautiful scenery, I walked more than 3 kilometers from the Second Bridge to Wuhan Port. In addition, this is a check-in spot for the Travel Frog.

Take a walk along the river bank and enjoy the scenery, and see if you are in a good mood.

By Jie Minghao |

Hankou River Beach is about 6 kilometers long. We couldn't walk the whole way, so we just chose the most lively part near Jianghan Gate. Although the river beach park is not so eye-catching, it has a lot more life atmosphere. Many vendors set up small businesses on the river beach. How to say it, Hankou River Beach is not as amazing as I imagined, let alone beautiful, but it is indeed a good place for Wuhan citizens to take a walk and cool off after dinner. The trestle bridge at the sightseeing boat pier is very beautiful. When you walk to Jianghan Gate, you will reach the end of the river beach.

By DMG Dog |

I recommend the Hankou River Beach, where you can see stretches of reeds on the river bank. It is even more beautiful when the reeds turn yellow in autumn.

City parks are always the most authentic places to show citizens' daily lives, and Wuhan's Hankou Riverside Park perfectly serves as this vivid carrier. At Hankou Riverside Park, you can not only see the beautiful scenery along the river, but also experience the happiness and comfort of Wuhan citizens.

Travel suggestions: If you want to see the reeds, it is best to come in autumn (note that autumn comes late in Wuhan). A good place to see the reeds on the river bank is Hankou River Beach.

The red wooden bridge is built over a field of reeds. Visitors can walk on the bridge and watch the dense reeds swaying in the wind.

From the Hankou River Beach, you can see the Erqi Yangtze River Bridge from a distance.

There is a path on the Hankou River Beach that leads to the deep sea of reeds. You can get very close to the reeds and it is very suitable for taking beautiful photos.

In early October, most of the reeds have not yet turned yellow.

In October, there are still many people flying kites on the Hankou River Beach. Kites of all sizes, styles and colors are flying all over the sky, which is very spectacular.

You can’t capture the magnificence of the sky full of kites with a photo, but it is really shocking to see it with the naked eye.

The little kids are running happily with kites, hahaha. Kites are not expensive, just spend a little money, no matter how old you are, even if you do nothing, you can feel the purest happiness watching the adults and children running around.

Located in Jiang'an District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, it covers an area of 1.6 million square meters, equivalent to three Zhongshan Parks in Beijing. Among them, there is a 120,000 square meter fitness and leisure area. It starts from the "Yangtze River Second Bridge" and walks along the riverside avenue. It depends on your physical strength. There are exit gates in the middle. The whole journey takes at least 1 or 2 hours.

There are clumps of sweet-scented osmanthus trees, which are especially suitable for walking. The greening rate is 70%. There are tree-lined greenways, riverside trails, fountain squares, many fitness equipment, roller skating and skateboarding areas, many statues, and many people taking wedding photos.

Along the Yangtze River in Hankou, there is a series of modern buildings lined up in a row. Their shape and scale are very similar to the Bund in Shanghai. They are precious witnesses of Hankou’s modern history.

Hankou River Beach is really beautiful, especially in the early morning, sitting on the ground facing the Yangtze River, with the breeze blowing on your face, there is an indescribable freshness.

Hankou River Beach, located in Jiang'an District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, covers an area of 1.6 million square meters. It is adjacent to the Yanjiang Avenue landscape, facing the Wuchang Yellow Crane Tower scenic area, and reflecting the Yangtze River, forming a unique landscape center in the central area of Wuhan. It is a famous scenic spot in Wuhan. "Two rivers, four embankments and eight forest belts, fireworks and silver flowers all night long", this is a poet's praise for the beauty of Wuhan River Beach. Citizens or tourists walk leisurely among the green trees and flowers, walking on the cobblestone paths, enjoying the rare leisure in busy life.

It costs 5 yuan to take the ferry across the river at noon, and then you can play on the river side until the evening. The Hanjiang Road Pedestrian Street is very interesting and charming, with a wide road, many people and shops. You can enjoy the river view at night. Parents with children can also go to the Science and Technology Museum across the street and get free tickets to enter.

The Jiangtan Park is very long, with many entrances and exits along the way, and there are many themed settings, such as the Love Wall, the Cherry Blossom Trail, some stages, small pavilions, and the greening is very good, suitable for walking. The Love Wall is full of couples' names and vows, and the guardrails are full of love locks, which is very loving.

There are three river beaches in the three towns of Wuhan: Hankou, Hanyang and Wuchang. Among them, Hankou River Beach is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River. To the north is the ancient buildings of the Hankou Concession, to the northwest is the Jianghan Road Pedestrian Commercial Street, and across the river you can see the modern buildings to the south. It is a unique landscape center in the central area of Wuhan. Hankou River Beach is a free public leisure park, and most foreign tourists must visit Wuhan. As for the reed flowers that bloom in late autumn (October-December) every year, you need to be lucky.

By Cat☆Huh |

There are many willow trees, and many local residents run, play, bring their children here, and ride bicycles.

Many cars lined up to take the Yangtze River ferry. There were many people fishing and watching the fun on the river bank. On the beach, well, is this a beach? I found a yellow scooter on the beach. I climbed up and pedaled hard, but it didn't move. The resistance of the mud and sand was too great. I walked along the Yangtze River and passed the ferry. There were people fishing along the way, but I didn't see anyone catching any fish.

We walked along the river beach, with the Yangtze River on the left and the park on the right. There were many tourists here, most of whom were nearby residents who came here to play. There were families flying kites, a group of friends playing and joking, old people sitting on benches, and runners who passed us from time to time.

By Xi Yuexi |

The total length of Hankou River Beach is about 6 kilometers. We walked from the River Beach Stage after exiting Lihuangpi Road to the Science and Technology Museum. But surprisingly, there were almost no tourists on the riverside, and there were not many lights on the other side. Did we open it in the wrong way?

After dark, the river beach from Lihuangpi Road to Tianjin Road is sparsely populated. Although there are white street lamps standing at equal distances like guards on this side, they are still not enough to break the thick night. On the other side, there are also dim lights, and most of the high-rise buildings are sleeping in the night of this long holiday.

By Captain Yizi |

There is a park along the Yangtze River where you can enjoy a night cruise on the Yangtze River. There is also a flood prevention monument, the Zhan Tianyou Park, and other places that are a place for leisure and entertainment.

By Jenny |

There are many weeping willows by the river, and the breeze is very comfortable. The words carved on the boulders in the park all have the softness of the river, wind, and water. There are citizens running and children flying kites, who are very happy.

Hankou River Beach is OK, but not as good as the beach at the seaside. Of course, the river beach also has its own characteristics. It is worth a visit.

By Quiet Dawn |

Hankou River Beach is a landmark attraction in Wuhan, witnessing the rise and fall of "Greater Wuhan". Located on the Yanjiang Avenue in Hankou, among the waterscapes of the three towns of Wuhan, Hankou River Beach Park can be said to be the most beautiful scenery in this riverside city. This is a Wuhan citizen park, free all day. The scenery inside is beautiful, and you can get close to the Yangtze River. Unfortunately, the Yangtze River is as big as the Yellow River. If you have free time in Wuhan, you can go there. It is a very suitable place to relax.

By Gong Xiaochu |

The river beach has become a name card of Wuhan, and it is said to be comparable to Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor. It is not only a place for aunties and uncles to do exercises and fly kites, but also a lively area for young men and women to hang out in bars at night. The chef and his wife love the reed marshes here. Every November, the yellow reed marshes are particularly fascinating.

By High speed jeep |

Among the river beaches in the three towns of Wuhan, Hankou River Beach is probably the best and most beautiful one. It is a semi-enclosed riverside park with greenery and design. Unfortunately, the night view is average and the lighting is dim. At the same time, Wuchang on the opposite bank has no lighting decoration, and the night view cannot attract tourists.

By Fox |

The scenery is good, the greenery is also good, the lights are more beautiful at night, Yanjiang Avenue is clean and tidy. In winter, it is suitable for family outings during the day, bringing children to fly kites

Starting from Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street and all the way to the Erqi Yangtze River Bridge, Hankou River Beach is a park-like leisure place for citizens. Together with Wuchang River Beach and Hanyang River Beach, it has become the world's largest inner-city public leisure place. The most famous thing on the river beach is the late autumn reeds, which are distributed near the Second Yangtze River Bridge and stretch for about 4km. Such a large reed bush in the city center is unique in China's big cities and is a beautiful scenery in Wuhan. Hankou River Beach is located on the west bank of the Yangtze River north of Jianghan Customs. It is a general riverbank municipal park without many features. There is no guardrail on the riverside, only a cordon that is almost useless. Many locals go swimming here in the summer, but it is not safe to swim in the Yangtze River.

It is rather useless to view the other side and the Yangtze River from here. There are only a few passenger terminals on the Yangtze River, and there is not much good city view on the other side because of the sparse high-rise buildings.

There are many old buildings in Hankou. Those who like characteristic old buildings will love this place. However, some buildings are under renovation, and the guardrails around them cannot see their appearance. There are also many buildings that are not open to the public and can only be viewed from a distance through the railings. It is a little regrettable. It is recommended to take a walk in Jiangtan Park, especially in spring. The green willows by the river and the flowers and plants in the park are very beautiful. The cherry blossoms in the park are especially beautiful. The breeze blows over and scatters petals, which is very fascinating.

Tips:

1) There is a small beach at the bottom of Hankou River Beach, close to the Yangtze River. There are no protective measures. It is recommended that you try not to play in the water by the river, as it is quite dangerous;

2) It is recommended to take a ferry at night and see the night view of the three towns of Wuhan from the Yangtze River. The night view from west to east at the Hankou River Beach is more beautiful than that at the Wuchang River Beach on the east side of the Yangtze River.

By Swimming fish |

Arriving at Qingchuan Bridge, the boat stopped before reaching Qingchuan Pavilion! We checked the Amap and discussed that it was only one bus stop away, so we just walked! Unexpectedly, following the Amap walking navigation, we had to bypass Qingchuan Bridge. I have heard that the reed marshes on the Hankou river beach are a great sight. Although the late autumn when the reeds sway has long passed, I still want to go and see the reeds along the six-kilometer-long shore. Hundreds of boats compete on the river, and the reeds on the river beach whisper.

How many cities in the world have such beautiful scenery in their central areas? It makes people yearn for it.
