This place is suitable for shopping, entertainment and leisure, with numerous shops, snacks and restaurants. While shopping, you can eat Wuhan local snacks such as hot dry noodles, Zhou Hei Ya, beef noodles, and bean curd.

You can go to the shopping pedestrian street. There is Jianghan Customs at the east entrance of Jianghan Road. When I was a freshman, I went shopping on Jianghan Road on Christmas Eve and slept in the underground passage all night. It was really cool. Now I basically don’t do this kind of thing, but I think it was cool back then.
When I was in school, Jianghan Road was under construction. When I went to Wuhan last year, I stayed at Jianghan Road and found that it had been repaired. Then I found that many shops had closed down. Jianghan Road is the Wuhan 20th Century Architecture Museum. Both sides of Jianghan Road are classical European and Roman-style buildings, which are the former sites of major banks and merchants. (My Wuhan Travel Notes: http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/11881806.html)
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, located in the center of Hankou, Wuhan, has a long history. From the land reclamation in 1906 to the Revolution of 1911 and then to the Beiyang government, it has witnessed the prosperity of Chinese capitalists step by step. Now, more than 10 buildings such as Siming Bank and Shanghai Bank that have been preserved have become precious heritage of Wuhan. Compared with the "lively" Wangfujing in Beijing and the "foreign" Nanjing Road in Shanghai, Jianghan Road is more like the Republic of China. Walking here, it is as if you are in the changing era of the Republic of China. Jianghan Road and the Republic of China buildings on Yanjiang Avenue echo each other and complement each other. Parking is convenient here. We parked in the underground parking lot on Minsheng Road. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the pedestrian street. On the other side of Yanjiang Avenue is the Hankou River Beach. Those with good physical strength can visit it together.
▲Location: Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street This is the most satisfying itinerary of this trip to Wuhan because I plan to check in all three nights.
▲Environment: It is called the longest pedestrian street in China and it deserves its name. You can't see the end at a glance. The small side roads are also very good and there are many shopping malls.
▲Recommendation: Ocean Department Store has many beauty brands, but it doesn’t have Chanel. Other brands are available.
The snacks on Shuita Street are very delicious and cheap. There are delicious foods hidden in these small alleys. However, in addition to the main road, some other secondary roads are still on the revision road, which is relatively uneven. Although it is a pedestrian street, there are still many cars.
Jianghan Road in Wuhan is a famous century-old commercial street in Wuhan. Its history can be traced back to the establishment of the British Concession in 1861, and it has undergone many name changes and changes. It is crowded with merchants and has more than 400 shops, including both "old brands" and international and domestic well-known brand stores. There are 13 excellent modern historical buildings on both sides of the street, with European, Roman, Byzantine and other styles lined up, like a street museum.
Stepping into Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, it feels like diving into the bustling folds of Wuhan. The bluestone pavement is polished to a shine by countless footprints, and the century-old buildings on both sides are crowded together. The Baroque reliefs and neoclassical columns cast mottled shadows in the sun, and the copper bells of the time-honored shops tinkle in the wind. The aroma of freshly baked bean curd mixed with the sweet aroma of milk tea hits you in the face. Fashionably dressed young people shuttled around with cameras in hand, and the bell of Jianghan Customs rang at the right time, startling a few sparrows under the eaves - Metro Line 2 and Line 6 go directly here, and there are many bus routes around.
2025.3.15 We came to Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street to feel the commercial atmosphere of Wuhan. It was really lively and we could stroll around and feel the commercial atmosphere of Wuhan.
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is located in Jianghan District, Wuhan City. You can take the subway, bus, taxi or drive to get there. It is recommended that tourists choose green travel methods, such as walking and cycling, to reduce the impact on the environment.

Wuhan's famous century-old commercial street is also the longest pedestrian street in China. It was once called the "Five Golden Flowers" of Chinese metropolises along with Beijing's Wangfujing, Shanghai's Nanjing Road, Tianjin's Heping Road, and Harbin's Central Street. Of course, the once prosperous streets are only ordinary by today's standards. After all, modern cities are not short of high-rise commercial buildings, but the European-style foreign buildings are impossible to replicate. Walking here, you feel a bit like Tianjin's Jiefang North Road.
Wuhan's most popular pedestrian street is located at the southernmost end of the former British Concession in Hankou. Next to it are characteristic homestays and shops of various brands, as well as many cultural relics from the old colonial era. It is a good place to enjoy the historical features (it can be called China's Magnificent Mile) and go shopping.
On my first day in Wuhan, I went to Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street. Many shops are still there, but many are gone. But there are still a lot of people on the street. During the holidays, New Year's Day and Christmas, the streets are crowded. Now Jianghan Road has a subway, and transportation is more convenient. There are also many new business districts in the north, and it is developing very fast.
The renovated Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street has no interesting colorful shops. The main purpose of going to Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is to appreciate the streets and old buildings. The bank buildings with huge granite slabs as the foundation give people a solid image. Each old building has a deep historical imprint. I have to go there every time I go back to Wuhan. It is quite interesting to see the reality of change and the unchanging reality and review the history.
It's not far from the Jianghan Customs Museum, so you can still take a stroll.
It is definitely a lively pedestrian street, and it feels better than Hubu Lane. There are many early buildings, which adds points to this street.
It's pretty good. I feel like I can bring my girlfriend here for a day on the weekend, but I'm a single dog and I finished it in half an hour.
Due to historical reasons, Jianghan Road was a former concession, and its buildings are basically preserved from that time, similar to the Bund in Shanghai
Very good, I recommend you to go there if you have time.
It's quite lively, suitable for shopping and eating snacks, much better than Hubu Lane
It's a big pedestrian street with nice buildings, but why is it so difficult to find a shop selling local specialties?
I feel that it is not as high-end as Han Street. It is more similar to Beijing Road in Guangzhou, with a civilian style, but the buildings are much more beautiful than those on Beijing Road.
It’s quite big and busy, and there are many young people there, eating a lot.
Living in Jianghan District is convenient for going anywhere.
It was still quite lively at night, even if it was windy and rainy. There was an alley selling something called stir-fried shredded chicken. The line was so long that I really wanted to queue up to buy some to try, but there were too many people.
Located in the center of Hankou, Wuhan, it is the longest pedestrian street in China and is known as the "No. 1 pedestrian street in the world". It is suitable for shopping, entertainment and leisure, with many shops, snacks and restaurants. As a former British concession, more than a dozen modern buildings of various styles are lined up in a row. The whole street is a 20th century architectural museum in the hearts of local people.
The Hankou Concession in Wuhan still retains a large number of century-old foreign buildings. When you walk from Dongting Street into Jianghan Pedestrian Street, the first large building that catches your eye is the former site of the Hankou Branch of the Bank of Taiwan. It feels particularly familiar, although this Bank of Taiwan was founded by the Japanese government and later became the People's Bank of China...
Travel suggestions: Walk along Jianghan Road towards the river to the end and you will find the Jianghan Customs Museum.
Apart from looking at the old buildings, Jianghan Road lacks some unique features compared to Optics Valley and Chuhe Hanjie Street.
It is a business district selling snacks in the pedestrian street.
There are so many people on the pedestrian street at night.
I have to say that during the five days in Wuhan, the number of people I saw on these three pedestrian streets alone was equal to the number of people I saw at the other 20 scenic spots. Once again, I sighed that the leisure life of Wuhan people is so rich.
Recommendation index: five stars. Take bus 559 from Qingchuan Pavilion to Wuhan Port on Yanjiang Avenue, and walk for about 10 minutes to Jianghan Village. There are almost no people in this alley, but I am keen to walk in the alleys of the city to experience the atmosphere of the market. This alley also has a literary atmosphere, with cat cafes, youth hostels, and milk tea shops...but this alley is a bit short. The pedestrian street finally made me feel the atmosphere of National Day, because there are many people, from big brands to fifty-yuan women's clothing.
The business district is very large. It would take half a day to walk there. There are many modern and ancient buildings. Although the buildings are uneven, they are crisscrossed. Don't walk to the beauty. As for the business district, there are some fast-selling brands and nothing special. The transportation is quite convenient. There are 2 or 3 subway stations and many buses around. If you drive, it may be a bit troublesome. Wuhan has many one-way streets. In short, I think it is worth going just for this largest commercial pedestrian street in the country.
This is an old commercial street. Various ancient buildings show the vicissitudes of time, while modern shops are now clamoring to move into old buildings, either fashion hotspots or international sports brands, but most of the old buildings are banks and other financial institutions. Compared with the high-end fashion of Chuhe Hanjie, it feels much lower. Although there is no shortage of eating, drinking, playing, shopping and entertainment, I still want to end the endless walking as soon as possible.
The ground is made of antique stone, and there are buses running everywhere. There are also many photography enthusiasts taking pictures here. As for shopping, there is not much to do, you can only walk along the pedestrian street.
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street starts at Wuhan Customs and ends at Jiefang Avenue, with a total length of 1,800 meters.
The pedestrian street is rich in modern architectural remains and has been renovated to be more suitable for walking and shopping.
Take Exit C of Jianghan Road Subway Station and go straight. There are all kinds of snacks, clothes and old buildings along the way.
We took the ferry and got off at Wuhan Customs Wharf. It took about 5 minutes to walk to Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street. There are some old buildings on the pedestrian street. You can go and see them if you have time.
Eat more, play more, buy more...
There are still many food and internet-famous spots on Jianghan Road, but I overestimated my appetite. I suggest you do some research online and check in with a purpose. Share the night view, which has a bit of European flavor. You must take street photos! It feels great.
When I just walked out of the subway, it was no different from an ordinary pedestrian street. There were not many scenes to take pictures of, but there were many shops and a lot of people.
The main purpose of coming to Jianghan Pedestrian Street is shopping, mostly clothing, and the time spent here is not long.
There is nothing much to say, the commercial streets in big cities are all similar. If there is a subway nearby, it is quite convenient to travel.
It is a large pedestrian street with several old buildings from the concessions. You can go shopping there, but you don't have to see it as a tourist attraction. The street is between the Jianghan Road and Xunlimen subway stations.
Jianghan Road is a shopping paradise for most people. It is very suitable for girls who like shopping. You can get off at Jianghan Road or Xunlimen Station on Line 2. As for how to go shopping, it depends on you. As for the delicious food, it also varies from person to person, so you can choose according to your taste.
I particularly like this roast duck restaurant. It is a must-order dish every time I go shopping. It is in a small alley near Xunlimen subway station. It may be difficult to find, but the taste is really good! Every time I come to buy it, there is a long queue!
I like the well-preserved buildings from the Republic of China period here, especially the major banks.
Along the way, you can see Western-style buildings and houses from the Republic of China. We didn't spend much time walking around Jianghan Road. In fact, for me, commercial pedestrian streets feel the same in many places. We walked and strolled, ate three skewers of grilled squid for ten yuan (I was drooling), and saw several duck blood vermicelli shops.
When I went to Wuhan for business for the first and third time, I went to Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street at night. There are all kinds of restaurants and entertainment places on both sides of the pedestrian street, and there are many pedestrians. It is indeed very prosperous. But I personally feel that compared with Chuhe Hanjie Street, Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street lacks some characteristics, and compared with the pedestrian streets in major cities, there is nothing special about it.
Wuhan is a very prosperous place, with pedestrian streets, and there are many people, and the later it gets, the more people there are. Wuhan's nightlife is really rich! You can shop on the pedestrian street, and there are many concession buildings.
The transportation is very convenient. The five stars are for the Republican-era buildings on the roadside, which have a very historical beauty.
There are many old buildings in the commercial street, and nothing special about the rest.
The commercial pedestrian street is located in the concession, but many of them have been rebuilt and the original historical features have not been fully preserved.
There are many online famous snack shops here. Anyway, you can't go wrong if you follow the people in line.
After eating, there are Wangfujing, Ocean Department Store, Center Department Store, New World Department Store, the newly opened M+, cinema, KTV and Hankou River Beach (all buildings in the French Concession) nearby.
You can enjoy four points perfectly. Please note that it is four points.
There are several times more people here than in Hubu Lane!
I couldn't resist the idea of chicken wings wrapped in rice when I first saw them... Although it's not an authentic Wuhan snack, I still want to try it! I've eaten chicken wings wrapped in pig intestines in Chengdu before and they were so greasy, so I believe that wrapping them in rice should be much better!
Do you think that Wuhan duck neck only has braised duck necks like Zhou Hei Ya and Jingwu? Here I will teach you a new way to eat duck neck! Roasted duck necks, with the addition of seasonings, are indeed more delicious. After all, braised duck necks are eaten cold, but this hot roasted duck neck is quite delicious! I spit out the bones when eating duck necks, and my friend said that this duck neck is roasted very thoroughly and is eaten with the bones!!!
Walking on Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, on this century-old street with a total length of more than 1,600 meters, you will always feel like you are in a huge museum and have the illusion of traveling through time. The Byzantine-style ancient buildings are solemn and majestic, green moss grows secretly in the corners where the sun doesn't shine, and the ancient Roman-style crown-shaped dome towers stand tall on the street. Leaning against the corner, you can still hear foreign friends chatting in poor Wuhan dialect a hundred years ago. At Zhongbai Square in front of the European-style National Goods Company Building, it is said that you can also see the most beautiful skyline of Hankou.
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Commercial Street is located in the center of Hankou, Wuhan. It stretches 1,600 meters from Yanjiang Avenue Jianghan Customs (Jianghan Customs Museum) in the south to Jiefang Avenue in the north. It is a famous century-old commercial street in Wuhan and also the "Wuhan 20th Century Architecture Museum". The most attractive thing about Jianghan Road is not the prosperous commercial buildings, but the various buildings lined up in a row in European, Roman, Byzantine, Renaissance, Classical, Modernist... It is not an exaggeration to say that Jianghan Road is the Wuhan 20th Century Architecture Museum. While tasting Wuhan snacks, admiring the ancient buildings along the way, watching couples taking wedding photos, and...
Fast fashion brand shopping stores are the majority, and it feels no different from Nanjing Road in Shanghai... If you want to eat snacks, it's best to go to Hubu Lane! Also, there are too many people in Wuhan.
It is the heart of Wuhan, located in the middle section of Zhongshan Avenue. It is a century-old commercial street. It retains many Western-style buildings from the opening of the port to trade, comparable to the Bund and Nanjing Road in Shanghai.
It is a commercial pedestrian street, and some of the old buildings are worth seeing.
How can this street be classified as "shopping"? It is simply confusing. Although it is still a busy commercial street, more importantly, it has preserved many Western-style buildings since the opening of the port to trade in modern times, which is comparable to places like the Bund in Shanghai and the Five Avenues in Tianjin.
I was just passing by and walked from Jiqing Street. Because it was raining, I went to the nearby RT-Mart supermarket to buy local specialties. I planned to go to Jianghan Customs after shopping at RT-Mart, but I didn't go because I was tired of shopping. I took the subway from Xunleimun Station back to the hotel.
The Xunleimon Gate also has a story. This street is worth visiting.
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is similar to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street in Shanghai - both sides are lined with old buildings, and the shops are old wine in new bottles. There is nothing to see in the shops themselves. The positioning is lower than that of the later Chuhe Hanjie Street. The architectural style is no less impressive, and the complex or overlapping lines outline the charm of that era. However, the inappropriate erosion of various modern elements is like a girl who has just entered youth and is not yet proficient in decorating her own beauty, immature and busy.
The city center, Jiqing Street, Jianghan Customs, Yanjiang Avenue, the river beach, the Yangtze River, the Yangtze River Bridge, Longwang Temple (the confluence of the Yangtze and Han Rivers), and Wangjiaxiang Ferry (ferry to Hanyangmen Ferry) are all on this route.
Shopping street. The buildings are quite unique and retro. It feels like "Beijing Road + Shangxiajiu" in Guangzhou. The matcha shop is delicious, I am a matcha lover. Other things are just so-so.
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is a famous century-old commercial street in Wuhan. The most attractive thing here is the various buildings lined up in a row: European style, Roman style, Byzantine style, Renaissance style, classicism, modernism... Jianghan Road is a museum of 20th century architecture in Wuhan. Jianghan Road is located in the central area of Hankou. It starts from Yanjiang Avenue in the south, runs through Zhongshan Avenue and Jinghan Avenue, and ends at Jiefang Avenue in the north. It is a famous century-old commercial street in Wuhan. There is nothing special about the shops themselves. It is close to the Jianghan Customs Wharf and the Hankou River Beach. In the 1970s, there was no fashion business district in Wuhan. If you go and talk about your childhood with a post-70s person in Jianghan District, they will definitely mention "Jianghan Road" and "Minzhong Paradise". The streets opened this year, transforming Jianghan Road, which has been settled for nearly 10 years, into a street full of fashion concepts.
After getting off the Yangtze River Bridge, I took a bus to the bustling Jianghan Road. But I have to admit that Jianghan Road is not that prosperous. The city is constantly developing, and the replacement of the old with the new is inevitable. Optics Valley and other places are growing rapidly, attracting a lot of people. But the old city of Hankou still stands, silently telling those old stories. http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/8267078.html
A very famous pedestrian street, with many branches of banks and financial institutions on both sides of the street, it is bustling and prosperous. If you walk a little further, you can reach the old city of Hankou. The shops themselves are nothing special. It is close to the Jianghan Customs Wharf and the Hankou River Beach.
Pedestrian streets and commercial streets in the south are relatively concentrated, unlike Harbin, which has no other large-scale commercial districts except Central Street.
To be honest, I don't really care about clothes and videos. There's no need to go shopping there. On the contrary, I really like the night markets made up of small stalls. Haha. You can't find such a large scale everywhere. Of course, the most important thing is to eat. There are queues everywhere.
Located in the center of Hankou, Wuhan, it is the longest pedestrian street in China and is known as the "No. 1 pedestrian street in the world". Passed by by chance~~ The night view is beautiful, there are many people and snacks~~
It can be called the modern historical, cultural and financial center of China, with banks standing next to each other and full of historical memories...
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is the birthplace of old Hankou. It is just outside of Exit A of Jianghan Road Subway Station. As a pedestrian street, in addition to business, you can also experience the old buildings of Wuhan. There are also many Wuhan snacks and ferries nearby, which is definitely worth a visit.
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is the longest pedestrian street in China. It is known as the "No. 1 Pedestrian Street in the World". It is located in the center of Hankou, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It starts from Yanjiang Avenue in the south, runs through Zhongshan Avenue and Jinghan Avenue, and ends at Jiefang Avenue in the north. It is 1,600 meters long. The width is 10 to 25 meters. It is a famous century-old commercial street in Wuhan. There are many "trendy" clothing on the pedestrian street. They are mostly international second- and third-tier brands. The design style is fashionable and trendy, and the price is reasonable. Every time I go there, I will buy something. It is really good value for money~ It is very lively there, and there are many snacks when you are tired. If you are tired of shopping, you can also go to the river beach to see the river view, which is really a great enjoyment~
A good place for shopping enthusiasts, with convenient transportation and moderately priced hotels.
The whole street is bustling and lively, and the architectural style feels like European style.
No comment, it feels like an ordinary commercial street
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is located in the center of Hankou, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It starts from Yanjiang Avenue in the south, runs through Zhongshan Avenue and Jinghan Avenue, and ends at Jiefang Avenue in the north. It is 1,600 meters long. The width is 10 to 25 meters. It is the longest pedestrian street in China and has the reputation of "the first pedestrian street in the world". It is a famous century-old commercial street in Wuhan and also the "Wuhan 20th Century Architecture Museum".
Hankou's commercial pedestrian street is actually similar to famous commercial streets such as Guangzhou Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Shanghai Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street.
Compared to Hubu Lane, there is no food street here but there are several very good food stores; compared to Chuhe Hanjie, locals mostly go shopping here
Every city has such a street, it is quite lively~
Jianghan Road gives me the feeling that the architectural style of the Aiqun Building area is a bit similar, but a little different. The architectural styles left over from the concessions in Guangzhou are often scattered, but in Wuhan they are large areas. Although many old buildings have been renovated, they can still retain their original style, which is worth learning from for many city planners and builders.
