For those who have limited time and want to quickly understand and climb the mountain, here are some suggestions for your own tour. Wudang Mountain is a fairly well-established tourist attraction. The scenic shuttle bus departs in a loop, and the waiting time is not long, which is very convenient even in the off-season. Arrive at Wudang Mountain in the afternoon of the first day, take the scenic shuttle bus from the gate of Wudang Mountain to Taizipo, check in at Taizipo (16:00 pm), visit Taizipo (about 40 minutes), Xiaoyao Valley was under maintenance at that time, and the scenic shuttle bus was cancelled, and then walk to Xiaoyao Valley for a visit. On the second day, set off at 8 am (carry simple backpack luggage to store in the hotel, only carry water, beef jerky, chocolate and travel light), the scenic shuttle bus departs from Taizipo to Zixiao Palace, visit Zixiao Palace, and then take the scenic shuttle bus to Wuyaling parking lot, and start a day of mountain climbing, Langmei Temple - Nanyan - Baibu Ladder - Chaotian Palace - Yitian Gate - Ertian Gate - Santian Gate - Jindian (top) - Taihe Palace - walk to Qiongtai Zhongguan (16:00 pm), take a bus from Zhongguan parking lot to Taizipo parking lot to pick up personal belongings, and go down the mountain! My personal physical strength is still good, and the time is just for reference for friends.

The previous phone consultation said that the mountain gate would open at 4:30. We got up a little late, and when we arrived at the entrance at around 5 o'clock, there were already crowds of people. I made a big mistake today. When I first made the itinerary, I remembered that Wudang Mountain was crowded during the Spring Festival. Going up the mountain from Wuya Ridge and then going down the mountain from Qiongtai Zhongguan was an ideal route during the Spring Festival. But then, I forgot this suggestion. Considering that my wife and children have limited physical strength and are prone to motion sickness, taking the cable car up from Zhongguan and then down can save a lot of physical strength, and there is no need to take the shuttle bus repeatedly, so today I chose Route A. We finally arrived at Zhongguan at 8 o'clock and started queuing for the cable car. It took 3 hours. After getting off the cable car, we started queuing up to Jinding again. It took a few minutes to climb one or two steps. It was not until four o'clock that the staff said it would take another two hours to reach the Golden Summit. We immediately decided to change the route and give up the Golden Summit. We took the ancient road from the Qing Dynasty to reach Crow Ridge and arrived at the hotel just when it was dark. It was really scary to think about it. Wudang Mountain is not suitable for night climbing. If we really finished visiting the Golden Temple and then took the ancient road from the Ming Dynasty to Crow Ridge, it would take three or four hours of night walking. Moreover, the road was slippery after the snow, and accidents were likely to occur.

Here I want to complain about the scenic area management. Later I read the news that there were only 20,000 tourists that day, and the scenic area was unable to make effective arrangements. It normally takes about 40 minutes for the cable car to get to the Golden Temple, but it took 10 hours to complete it on the first day of the new year. Tourists were crowded, and it was easy to get trampled. Queue-jumping was everywhere, and the scenic area management staff turned a blind eye. Moreover, there was no reminder of the congestion to tourists, and there were no supply stations or toilets along the way.

How to get there:

1. There is a bus from Wudang Mountain Railway Station to the gate of the scenic area, and the fare is 4 yuan.

2. When you get out of Wudang Mountain Railway Station and walk to the main road, any passing bus will pass by the gate of Wudang Mountain Scenic Area and the fare is 10 yuan.

3. There is a bus from Shiyan Railway Station to the gate of the scenic area, which costs 4 yuan.

4. There are some cars at the entrance of Wudang Mountain Railway Station that can be chartered to Wulong Palace. The fare is more than 200 yuan, and you can bargain on your own (you can save the entrance fee by going to Wulong Palace, so you can consider it at your own discretion).

5. If you want to walk to Wulong Palace, take any bus or coach and get off at Wulong Palace intersection, and walk along the road to Wulong Palace.

6. Wulong Palace is not officially open yet, and most cars are not eligible to drive in. No one will stop you if you walk.

Regarding meals: The menus in the scenic area are all printed uniformly. As long as you show them the menu, the content and prices are the same. Vegetarian dishes range from 30-50, and non-vegetarian dishes range from 50-100. Noodles are 15 per bowl. The dishes ordered from the menu are all very large. If you don't show them the menu, the price will be cheaper, and the dishes will not be as large as if you show them the menu.

Suggested routes:

Day Tour 1: Da Men - Zhong Guan - Cableway Up - Jin Ding - Ming Shen Dao Down the Mountain - Nan Yan - Da Men

One-day tour 2: Da Men - Taizipo - Zixiao - Nanyan - Mingshendao up the mountain - Jinding - Ropeway down - Zhongguan - Da Men

Day Tour 3: Go directly to the scenic spot you most want to visit and stay there until 6 o'clock.

The reason why the Myojindo route is recommended for day trips is because the scenery is better and it is also the most classic route. You can experience the stairs that you can't see the end even after walking two-thirds of the way.

2-Day Tour 1

D1: Damen - Taizipo - Zixiao - Nanyan - Qingshendao Mountain - Stay at Fenjinling (simple but cheap, 40 minutes' drive from Jinding)

D2: Watch the sunrise at Jinding--go down the Mingshen Road--take a bus to the gate of Nanyan

Two-day tour 2

D1: Da Men - Taizipo - Zixiao - Nanyan - Mingshendao Mountain - Stay at Jinding VIP Building or Fenjinling

D2: Watch the sunrise at Jinding - walk down the trail from the bell platform on Jinding to Qingwei Palace for fun, and then return to Jinding (the slow rocking takes 4 hours, be sure to bring your ticket, there will be people checking tickets at the intersection.) - go down the cable car - Zhongguan - Baxian Temple - the main gate.

As a native of Shiyan, this is my third time going up the mountain. On the fifth day of the first lunar month, many businessmen come to burn incense, but it is not a good time to enjoy the mountain scenery and cloud scenery. I mainly passed by Taizipo, Nanyan, Zixiao Palace and Jinding. The green tiles and red walls of the porch of Taizipo are particularly suitable for taking pictures. The views at Jinding and Nanyan are the most vast, and the viewing platforms are thrilling. Wudang should win in cultural heritage, but the palace always seems to be in disrepair, which may be intentional.

Now there are direct buses from the city to the mountain gate, and there are shuttle buses connecting the scenic spots on the mountain, which is much more convenient than before. Wudang Mountain has had cable cars for a long time, both up and down the mountain, and it is best to take them when going down the mountain. This time I prepared enough dry food in advance, and did not buy anything on the way, so I was not sure about the prices on the mountain at that time. I settled down in another place and could not enjoy the discount of Shiyan Tourism Card. The tickets were still a bit expensive, and another 30 yuan was charged to enter the Golden Temple.

The gate of Wudang Mountain is majestic and extraordinary. Its shape is a bit like the archway of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing. It is a masterpiece of Hubei Architectural Design Institute.

The mountain gate is a popular spot on the Internet, so take a picture quickly and don’t miss it.

Walking into the mountain gate, you will see a commercial street with a plaque inscribed with "Wudang Golden Street". In front of the street is a circular Feng Shui pool with many red wishing ribbons tied to the railings beside the pool. There are also many koi in the pool, which apparently is to gather wealth.

Wudang Golden Street is a small commodity street before entering the mountain. If you want to buy tourist souvenirs, this is the first choice. There are many kinds of goods, and the prices are relatively reasonable. Many Taoist souvenirs are much cheaper than those in Nanjing Maoshan.

It is the end of October and Mount Wudang is still shaded by green trees. The tall trees are lush and green, with occasional yellow leaves adding a touch of autumn color. The scenery here is very different from that of Mount Tai and Mount Hua in the north. The mountains in the north are mostly shrubs and lack tall trees, and the trees must be dead at this time of year, but here the pines and cypresses are still full of vitality... People from Jiangsu are also amazed to come here.

Wudang Mountain, a holy place of Taoism in China, was named "the Great Mountain" and "the Mysterious Mountain for Governing the World" by the emperor of the Ming Dynasty and was revered as the "Imperial Family Temple".

The deity enshrined in Wudang Mountain is Zhenwu Emperor, also known as Xuanwu Emperor, the son of Pangu, the father of Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang, the third emperor after the Jade Emperor, who is in charge of the heaven and the dragon body.

At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, Wudang Taoist priest Zhang Sanfeng integrated the essence of Wudang boxing skills and founded Wudang Neijia Quan. Wudang martial arts is an important school of Chinese martial arts.

In December 1994, the Wudang Mountain Ancient Buildings Complex was included in the World Heritage List. There are currently 53 ancient buildings with a construction area of 27,000 square meters, 9 building ruins covering an area of more than 200,000 square meters, and 5,035 cultural relics of various types preserved in the mountain.

If time is right, 2 to 3 days is relatively easy. If you are in a hurry, you can finish the tour in one day. We actually only had two and a half days, and there were no repeated routes. Time was tight, so I made a simple route map for reference.

Wudang Mountain is a Y-shaped route. If you don't want to watch the sunrise or climb the mountain, you can take the cable car from Qiongtai to Jinding. If you want to watch the sunrise, you need to climb the mountain. Generally, you will choose to stay in Nanyan, or Qixingshu, which is a little higher. There are also a few accommodations in Jinding, which will be more expensive. The scenic spots are also concentrated in the direction of Nanyan, so many people will choose to travel all the way to Nanyan after entering the mountain, and finally stay near Nanyan (also called Crow Ridge), get up early to climb the mountain to Jinding, and take the cable car from Jinding to Qiongtai the next day, and then go to the tourist center at the gate. You don't have to go back the whole way. The small shop at the gate can store your luggage for 10 yuan/piece. Just bring a change of clothes and basic supplies.

Wudang Mountain, also known as Taihe Mountain, is located in Danjiangkou, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. It is only 40 kilometers away from the urban area of Shiyan. It is a famous Taoist resort in China, one of the first national key scenic spots, a national 5A scenic spot, and one of the world cultural heritage sites.

Wudang Mountain, which was known as "Taiyue", "Xuanyue" and "Dayue" in ancient times, stretches for 800 miles, and its natural scenery is mainly majestic, but also has multiple characteristics such as dangerous, strange, secluded and beautiful.

The main attractions of the scenic area include Golden Summit (Taihe Palace), Nanyan, Zixiao Palace, Taizipo, Xiaoyao Valley, Qiongtai Temple, and Ancient Sacred Road.

The tourist map of the scenic spot is a bit complicated, so I made a simple diagram:

We spent 2 days touring the upper right and lower left areas.

By Scholar's spirit |

Wudang Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain and the birthplace of Wudang martial arts. It is known as "the unparalleled scenic spot throughout the ages and the number one fairy mountain in the world". It is said to have seventy-two peaks, thirty-six rocks, twenty-four streams, eleven caves, three pools, nine springs, ten pools, nine wells, ten stones, nine terraces and other scenic spots. It takes time to visit all of them, which is not possible for ordinary tourists. They can just visit the scenic spots centered on Tianzhu Peak, go up and down some dangerous roads, and appreciate the "Seventy-two Peaks Facing the Great Summit" and the "Overlapping Shadows of the Golden Palace" and so on.

The route of the scenic spot is very simple: take the scenic sightseeing bus from the tourist center to Taizipo, and then transfer to the sightseeing bus from Taizipo to Nanyan or Taizipo to Qiongtai. The final destination is Jinding. The difference is that if you transfer to the Taizipo-Nanyan sightseeing bus, you can only walk to Jinding after arriving at Nanyan; if you transfer to the Taizipo-Qiongtai sightseeing bus, you can take the cable car to Jinding after arriving at Qiongtai. Taizipo-Nanyan-Jinding is the main tour route of the scenic spot.

By King of Amy |

You may have to rely on your luck to encounter a clear blue sky in Wudang Mountain, but the clouds and mist are the characteristics of this Taoist holy land.

The routes in Wudang Mountain Scenic Area are not too complicated. Basically, there are two routes with Jinding as the end point. Qiongtai and Nanyan are the sightseeing bus stops for these two routes. After getting off at the two stops, you can only choose to walk or take the cable car to Jinding. In terms of scenery, Qiongtai to Jinding is average. It is recommended to take the cable car and then go down the mountain from Nanyan. Because the mountain road is long and rugged, and small attractions like Xiaoyao Valley can also take some time to play, it is ideal to have a whole day to play the whole Wudang Mountain, of course, it also requires high physical strength.

In December 1994, the "Wudang Mountain Ancient Buildings" were selected as a "World Cultural Heritage". Compared with "cultural and natural dual heritages" such as Mount Tai and Mount Emei, it is still slightly inferior in terms of natural scenery, and is more characterized by cultural relics such as Taoist temples.

The broad sense of Wudang Mountain includes the outer Yuxu Palace, Yuzhen Palace, Zhishi Xuanyue Archway and other scenic spots. The narrow sense of Wudang Mountain is within the scope of the scenic area where tickets are collected. The latter area can basically be visited in one day. The ticket includes the transportation within the scenic area. This part must be bought because from the gate of the scenic area, you have to take a car and walk on the mountain road for more than 40 minutes to get to the place where you really start to visit.

The places to visit are divided into the front mountain and the back mountain. The starting point of the front mountain is Taizipo, and the starting point of the back mountain is Qiongtai Zhongguan. You can take the cable car directly to the Golden Summit from the back mountain Qiongtai Zhongguan, while the front mountain starts from Taizipo and has to pass through Zixiao Palace, Xiaoyao Valley, Nanyan Palace, and Ming and Qing Ancient Road to reach the Golden Summit. And from Taizipo to Nanyan Palace, you still have to take a car. If you walk too far, there is nothing to see. From Nanyan Palace, it is a completely mountain road, and you can only walk. There are thousands of steps, and most of the road sections are straight up and down, and there is nothing to see.

Based on this distribution of scenic spots, I personally recommend that if you don't have too many financial concerns, you should take the cable car at least once. If you want to save some energy, it's best to take the cable car up the mountain from the back mountain, and then walk down the mountain from the Ming and Qing Ancient Road in the front mountain. But even so, walking down the mountain is not an easy thing, because there are too many steps, and many places are very high, even the way down the mountain has ups and downs in the process.

Specifically speaking, every scenic spot, every important traffic node, and the place where the scenic area transportation vehicle can stop are indeed the most worth seeing.

1. Jinding is the peak of Wudang Mountain. Its biggest feature is that a "Forbidden City" was built on the top of the mountain, with a wall and four palace gates, or "Gate of Heaven". There is a golden palace at the highest point, which is very similar to the golden palace on Jizu Mountain in Dali. However, I personally think that the scenery from the top is just average. (Separate admission fee is required)

2. The two greatest features of Nanyan Palace are: first, the entire building is built on a cliff halfway up the mountain, a bit like the Hanging Temple on Mount Hengshan; second, there is the famous Dragon Head Incense, which is an incense burner sticking out of the cliff facing the Golden Summit.

3. Zixiao Palace is probably the largest palace on Mount Wudang. It is located in a relatively open valley with a relatively complete structure. There is nothing special about it. (You need to pay a separate ticket)

4. Taizipo is not very large in size, but the Nine-bend Yellow River Wall is very distinctive. The long stretch of red palace wall is a great place for taking photos.

5. The greatest significance of Qiongtai Temple is taking the cable car. The temple itself is not very unique, but it is large in size.

6. Although Xiaoyao Valley is a stop on the bus route, I personally feel that there is nothing fun to do there. It is mainly some streams. It is also said that you can walk all the way from the valley to Qiongtai Zhongguan.

7. As for the ancient roads of Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Ming Dynasty ancient road is recommended. There is a Santianmen archway along the way. Although it is very simple, it can add a little vitality to the mountain climbing road.

The scenic spot with one ticket system has buses going up the mountain, where you can stay overnight on the mountainside and then climb the mountain on your own. There is also a cable car. The scenery is beautiful.

By Crab roe in July |

The entrance ticket to the mountain also includes a bus ticket that must be purchased. You can ride it as many times as you want. It is really convenient. Cars from outside are not allowed to enter, so the mountain roads are well-regulated and there will be no traffic jams.

Personally, I think the scenery of Wudang itself is just average, but if you climb it in the early morning, the feeling will be different, especially watching the sun rise little by little, from dark to bright, it is very exciting.

ps: The starry sky in the mountains is extremely beautiful, and Wudang is suitable for night climbing. Although there are no street lights, the mountain road is easy to walk on. It's full of crazy steps. You can just use your mobile phone for lighting.

Whether you climb by yourself or take the cable car, you will eventually gather at the gate of Taihe Palace, and it will take some time to reach the top of the Golden Palace.

There are two routes up and down the mountain, one is Qingshen Road (the route we took when climbing at night), and the other is Mingshen Road (the journey is a little longer, passing Chaotian Palace, Yitian Gate, Ertian Gate, and Santian Gate). Both roads will eventually meet at Chaotian Palace. There is a super long 100-step staircase on Qingshen Road, which is very cool.

Wudang Mountain is not only a famous Taoist mountain, but has also been a royal Taoist temple since the Ming Dynasty. The Zhenwu Emperor enshrined here is a god who protects the country and the people. He is named "Dayue" and "Taiyue" and has a lofty status.

The Golden Summit of Wudang Mountain is designed and built in the form of a heavenly palace on earth, and is a treasure of ancient Chinese architecture. It is well worth a visit.

The only drawback is that the ticket price is relatively expensive, which has always been criticized by tourists and has also limited its influence. I hope that the price will be more affordable as soon as possible, so that more friends who are interested can share the beautiful scenery of Wudang.

A normal tour will take two days, because there are several scattered Taoist temples at the foot of the mountain, which are also worth visiting.

If you want to complete both routes on the mountain, it will take one to one and a half days, so two days would be more comfortable.

On the first day, you can visit the foot of the mountain and then climb the mountain, stay on the mountain, and watch the sunset in the evening.

Recommended tour route 1: Yuxu Palace - Xuanyue Gate - Golden Palace

Recommended tour route 2: Nanyan Palace - Zixiao Palace - Taizipo - Mozhenjing - Tianjin Bridge

The scenery is nice, but you can't ask for too much for accommodation. It's cold on the mountain at night. You can play for a day and a half. The Golden Summit is not a big place. It takes twenty steps to walk around. What I sigh about is the perseverance and faith of the ancestors. The architecture can be said to be exquisite. Each Taoist temple is filled with the taste of time. It is very inconvenient for the residents here to go up and down the mountain. If the food is a bit expensive, please understand. After all, all supplies can only be carried on shoulders and hands. Those uncles and aunts carrying loads and uncles carrying bamboo poles and soft chairs are admirable.

To go to Wudang Mountain, you can take the train and get off at Wudang Mountain Station, then transfer to the bus to the tourist center of the scenic area. You can also get off at Shiyan Railway Station and take bus No. 202 to the tourist center in front of the station. You can take the scenic bus to Wuya Ridge and then walk to visit. There is a Nangong scenic spot next to Wuya Ridge. You can visit it and then climb to the top of the mountain. The uphill road is a little slower at the beginning. When you climb the first gate, the slope becomes steeper. Until the third gate, you have to go up the steps first and then down the steps, which is a great test for the knee joints. After I reached the top of the mountain, I walked to the top station with difficulty and took the cable car down. My legs were too painful. Wudang Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain. In terms of natural scenery, except for the top of the mountain, which is so-so, other places are very ordinary.

Wudang Mountain, a sacred place of Taoism in China, is also known as Taihe Mountain, Xieluo Mountain, Canshang Mountain, and Xianshi Mountain. It was known as "Taiyue", "Xuanyue", and "Dayue" in ancient times. It is located in Danjiangkou City, Shiyan City, in the northwest of Hubei Province. It is adjacent to the famous ancient city of Xiangyang City in the east, the car city of Shiyan City in the west, the primitive forest of Shennongjia in the south, and the Danjiangkou Reservoir with high gorges and flat lakes in the north. [1] In the Ming Dynasty, Wudang Mountain was named "Dayue" and "Xuanyue for Governing the World" by the emperor, and was revered as the "Imperial Family Temple". Wudang Mountain is famous for its status as the "Crown of the Five Mountains", with "the four famous mountains all bowing to it, and the five immortal mountains paying homage to it".

To go to Wudang Mountain, you have to transfer to the scenic area bus. We first went to Taizipo and then transferred to Qiongtai. Qiongtai is the cable car distribution center. We gave up the cable car and climbed all the way to Jinding. On the way down the mountain, we walked to Nanyan and took a bus to the tourist center.

Overall, the mountains are beautiful and spiritual.

The management of the Wudang Mountain scenic area is quite good, and the facilities are complete, especially the five-star restrooms at several transfer points, which are not only hygienic but also luxurious, and there are sofas for rest.

Wudang Mountain, a holy place of Taoism in China, is also known as Taihe Mountain, Xieluo Mountain, Shenshang Mountain, and Xianshi Mountain. It was called "Taiyue", "Xuanyue" and "Dayue" in ancient times. It is located in Danjiangkou City, Shiyan City, in the northwest of Hubei Province. It is adjacent to the famous ancient city of Xiangyang City in the east, the car city of Shiyan City in the west, the primeval forest of Shennongjia in the south, and the Danjiangkou Reservoir with high gorges and flat lakes in the north.

Wudang Mountain is a place I have always longed for, and I finally made up my mind to go there at some point in time. Unfortunately, there were too many people, so I didn't go to the Zixiao Palace, and didn't take many photos. I don't know if I can be like those Taoist priests in the future, "a green lamp accompanies the Buddha, and does not care about worldly affairs"...

It feels too commercialized, and one ticket cannot cover the entire journey. Some of them are charged by Taoists, which makes people feel uncomfortable😭

Wudang martial arts is an important school of Chinese martial arts. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Taoist Zhang Sanfeng gathered all his achievements and founded the Wudang School. When you come to Wudang Mountain, the clouds and mist are like a fairyland, very cool, and it forms a sharp contrast with the scorching summer in the city. It is a good place to climb the mountain and learn about Taoist culture.

As for Wudang, there are too many people, so climbing is relatively easy and not very tiring.

You must go when it snows, the red walls and green tiles are particularly beautiful in the snow!

Take the bus cable car directly up to the Golden Summit, go down the mountain along the Qingshen Road, and visit Nanyan and Taizipo.

This was a trip with my girlfriends in the summer of 2016. Many of the photos I took back then are no longer accessible because I changed my phone. I collected a few beautiful pictures from Baidu that matched the attractions we visited at that time. They were much better than the ones I took myself in terms of angle and quality. I still remember that we took the cable car up the mountain, and then, at the suggestion of one of the girls, we decided to walk down the mountain. The 2-hour journey made everyone feel worse than death, and it was unforgettable! I swear to God, this is the only time in my life that I will be stupid, and I will never do it again! o(╯□╰)o

Wudang Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain and the birthplace of Wudang martial arts. It is known as "the most beautiful place in the world and the best fairy mountain in the world". Wudang martial arts is an important school of Chinese martial arts. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Taoist Zhang Sanfeng gathered all his achievements and founded the Wudang School. Since then, the Wudang School has become famous all over the world.

The ticket price for Wudang Mountain is 200 yuan, including the bus ticket to the mountain. Some ancient architectural attractions on the mountain require additional tickets. For example, the ticket price for Zixiao Palace is 15 yuan, and the ticket price for Taihe Palace is 27 yuan. Taihe Palace is located on the highest peak, Tianzhu Peak (1,612 meters above sea level), and the Golden Palace is on top of it. In addition, if you take the cable car to the top, you need to buy another ticket. The cable car ticket is 90 yuan for a one-way trip and 170 yuan for a round trip. After entering the ticket gate of the scenic area, you will see the tourist bus station for going up the mountain. The station departs in different directions according to the left and right lines. The left line is a hiking route. You can take a bus to the Nanyan Palace Visitor Center. The main attractions such as Xiaoyao Valley, Zixiao Palace, and Nanyan Palace are all on the left line. The right line is a route for the tour bus and cable car to climb Tianzhu Peak. You can take a tour bus to the Qiongtai Zhongguan Tourist Service Center to transfer to the cable car to the top. Both tour buses pass through Taizipo, and tourists can also change the bus route here. There are hotels available for accommodation in Nanyan Palace and Qiongtai Zhongguan, and many tourists get on the tour bus carrying their luggage.

First destroy Shaolin and then destroy Wudang, only my Ming Cult will be the king of the martial arts world!

Our understanding of Mount Wudang comes from Jin Yong’s novels. Only when you actually visit Mount Wudang can you truly appreciate its immortal spirit and otherworldly style!

Mount Wudang is very difficult to climb, especially the way to the Golden Summit, which is extremely painful, but isn’t it the long and arduous road to enlightenment?

A famous Taoist mountain, the royal Taoist temple of the Ming Dynasty, you can go to Wudang and feel the magic. The whole mountain is filled with a fairy air, giving people a very comfortable feeling. The trees are dense and lush. Nanyan Palace, Zixiao Palace, and Taihe Palace are the most beautiful! It is recommended not to visit during holidays, as there are too many people. It is definitely a good choice to visit during weekdays or off-seasons!

By There are many things you don't know |

Wudang Mountain is a place I have been looking forward to for a long time, but I was really disappointed this time. It really has no special features. When you go there, be sure to avoid the peak period when there are a lot of people.

By Heart follows dream |

If you want to see natural landscapes, I strongly recommend not to go. If you want to know or like ancient buildings and history, you can decide for yourself. Tickets are 260 (including scenic area bus), Zixiao Palace is 15, and Jinding is 27. The cable car is 80 up and 60 down. It takes four hours to climb from Nanyan to Jinding. The scenic spots are Taizipo, Zixiao Palace, and Nanyan Palace. They are all ancient buildings without any characteristics. Climbing the stairs for four hours, there are no characteristic mountains, stones, and no waterfalls along the way. The Jinding buildings are crowded and very ordinary. Climbing to Jinding for a few hours is only disappointment. Looking at the ticket price, the cost performance is too low. I have no energy to go down the mountain, so I took the cable car down the mountain. The gain is exercise, and my legs hurt for three or five days. With this money, it is better to go to Huangshan, Huashan, Sanqingshan, and Qingcheng Mountain. Wudang Mountain is just a name, and I regret going there.

By Xiaobai WDQ |

The air in the mountains and forests is particularly good, it is a natural oxygen bar. The top of the mountain is shrouded in clouds and mist, and in front of you is one green mountain after another with distinct layers, like a beautiful landscape painting. You can't help but admire the beautiful rivers and mountains of our motherland!

By Ls Zhe |

You can buy some snacks to replenish your energy before going up the mountain. You don’t have to buy dinner or the like. Food and water on the mountain are not expensive.

Water is also 2 yuan a bottle.

You can store your luggage before entering the scenic area and try to bring as little as possible, otherwise climbing the mountain will be very tiring!

After buying a ticket at the ticket hall, you can take a sightseeing bus to Taizipo for transfer.

The ticket includes the scenic spot ticket + bus ticket + scenic spot insurance + scenic spot map fee, a total of 248 yuan, there are student tickets, there are senior tickets, insurance and scenic spot map are required. In addition, Zixiao Palace, Jinding and cableway need to be charged separately. I forgot how much the full price is. The student ticket I paid was 15 yuan for Jinding and 10 yuan for Zixiao Palace. There is no discount ticket for the cableway, 90 yuan for the up and 80 yuan for the down.

The basic route for climbing Mount Wudang is: Main Gate - Taizipo - Xiaoyao Valley - Zixiao Palace - Nanyan - Chaotian Palace - Qingshendao (Mingshendao) - Golden Summit - take the cable car to Qiongtai Zhongguan (or return by the original route) - take the sightseeing bus to Taizipo (or return to Nanyan and take the sightseeing bus to Taizipo) - return to the main gate.

Of course, the specific situation must be arranged according to your own time.

As the night progresses, it gets colder.

Everyone remember to bring a jacket when going up the mountain.

Tips:

1. Travel time: I think two days will allow you to enjoy the sights more and you won’t be too anxious. You can visit every spot and you won’t have any regrets.

2. Hotel location: It is recommended to choose a hotel near Nanyan, which is a parking spot and more convenient. If you have a lot of luggage and don't want to store it, it is a good choice.

3. Clothing to bring: If you go in the summer, remember to bring a coat to keep warm. In the winter, I think it will be even colder. When we went there in May, the weather was still quite hot, but it was especially cool in the morning and evening.

Wudang Mountain is a famous Taoist holy place in my country. Its ancient buildings were first built in the Tang Dynasty. It reached its peak in the Ming Dynasty. Emperors of all dynasties built Wudang Mountain as a royal family temple with extremely high standards. There are 53 existing ancient buildings and 9 architectural ruins in Wudang Mountain, which is the largest religious building complex in the world today.

Being in Wudang Mountain, you can feel the strong Taoist atmosphere, such as Zixiao Palace and Jinding.

『2015-3-26&27 Wudang Mountain』

Going there at this time, it is still a winter bleak scene, with bare trees all over the mountain, but there are relatively few people. It is recommended to live on the mountain, so that you don't have to waste time taking a car down the mountain, and you need to go through the second mountaineering procedures to go up the mountain the next day. The most important thing is that if the weather is good, you can get up early to watch the sunrise if you live on the mountain. On the first day, you can play from the bottom to the top of "Taiping Slope-Xiaoyao Valley-Zixiao Palace-Nanyan", and then stay in Nanyan. On the second day, go directly to Jinding, that is, the Golden Palace on the highest peak Tianzhu Peak (1612 meters). This is definitely the essence. If you can, you must get up early, otherwise there will be too many people. Climbing up and looking far on the mountain is definitely the beauty of "seeing all the mountains small at a glance", and it is great with the blue sky and a few floating clouds. It is recommended to go up the front mountain and down the back mountain (the back mountain has many steps and is steep), or go up and down the Qiongtai cableway.

PS: Ticket price is 250 yuan (including scenic area bus), half price for student ID card

Wudang Mountain, also known as Taihe Mountain, was known as "Xuan Yue" in ancient times, which was intended to convey its supreme status as being higher than the "Five Mountains" and famous for its immortals.

Wudang Mountain became a Taoist mountain with the help of a Taoist priest named Yin Xi (during the Western Zhou Dynasty). Sima Qian recorded in the Records of the Grand Historian that during the Spring and Autumn Period, Laozi passed through Hangu Pass and presented the Daodejing to Yin Xi, the commander of the pass. Later, Yin Xi became an immortal in Wudang Mountain, and Wudang also became a Taoist mountain.

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, a Taoist priest named Zhang Sanfeng founded the Wudang Sect and Neijia Quan. Wudang became the leader of the martial arts world.

In the Ming Dynasty, Wudang Mountain was named "the Great Mountain" and "the Mysterious Mountain for Governing the World" by the emperor and was revered as the supreme "imperial family temple". It was also regarded as the patron saint of "divine right of kings" by Ming Chengzu Yan Wang Zhu Di. He once claimed to be the reincarnation of Zhenwu, led his troops south, and accomplished the Yongle cause. Wudang also reached its peak at this time.

Wudang Mountain currently has 53 ancient buildings with a construction area of 27,000 square meters, 9 building ruins covering an area of more than 200,000 square meters, and 5,035 cultural relics of various types preserved in the mountain.

Wudang Mountain is one of the world cultural heritage sites announced by the United Nations. It is the most famous tourist destination in central my country and a national 5A-level scenic spot.

Historically, Wudang Mountain became a martial arts leader starting with a Taoist priest named Zhang Sanfeng (who lived in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty).

Zhang Sanfeng was a martial artist in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, a Taoist priest in Wudang Mountain, and was regarded as the founder of Wudang Sect. According to the "Ming History: Biography of Taoists and Martial Artists", "Zhang Sanfeng was a native of Yizhou, Liaodong. His name was Junshi, another name was Junbao, his courtesy name was Quanyi, and his pseudonym was Sanfeng.

There is a story about Zhang Sanfeng watching the fight between a crane and a snake that is still circulating in Wudang Mountain. It is said that Zhang Sanfeng saw a crane fighting with a long snake in Wudang Mountain. Every time the crane flew up and down to hit the long snake, the snake would sway and dodge, and was never hit. After a long stalemate, the crane was exhausted and flew away helplessly. The long snake also freely burrowed into the grass. Zhang Sanfeng was inspired by the fight between the crane and the snake: softness can overcome hardness, and stillness can stop movement. So, imitating the movements of the long snake, he created the internal boxing.

On the first day, we visited Taizipo and Nanyan Palace. On the second day, we started climbing the mountain at around 5:00 in the morning. It was still dark when we started climbing, so we had to use a flashlight. At around 6:00, the sky began to brighten. Then, we listened to the birds singing and the chickens crowing in the mountains, smelled the fresh air of the forest, and watched the mountain people open their doors and wash by the stream. I felt that this was a paradise. Although it took more than three hours to reach the Golden Summit, my legs and feet were very tired, and I didn't take so many photos on the way up the mountain, the simplicity and freshness from the mountains and forests always remain in my heart.

Wudang Mountain, a famous mountain, is still OK. There are not too many people at the end of summer vacation, because in the mountains, you don't have to be too demanding about food and accommodation. It's just that it's still a bit cold to climb to the top of the mountain at night, and you need luck to watch the sunrise. It's still very tiring to climb down this mountain. Wudang Mountain, a scenic spot, is famous for martial arts, Taoism, architecture and scenery!!!

By Alone with the wind |

At 9 o'clock in the morning, I took a train from Wuchang Station to Shiyan City. From Shiyan City, I took the bus that could not be more than that to Wudang Mountain. It was already afternoon. July should be the peak season, right? There were not many tourists at the ticket office at the entrance of the scenic area. I gritted my teeth and bought a package ticket, which included a scenic spot ticket of 140 yuan, a green sightseeing bus ticket of 100 yuan, a one-way cable car ticket of 90 yuan, and another 20 yuan per person for the Golden Summit. It added up to more than 300 yuan per person (not counting the cable car fee for the downhill trip). Otherwise, the whole package plus the 30 yuan for the Purple Sky Hall should be around 450 yuan per person!

I remember that in front of the ticket office of the scenic spot, there was a souvenir sales corridor that looked like a renovated ancient market, with many handicrafts for sale. I was not interested in these things at first, but I was attracted by a bright big knife, which was hand-forged by a person in the countryside. The blade was very sharp, but the handle was relatively simple. It was decorated with a red cloth strip, unlike the fancy things sold in handicraft stores. I asked: How can I take this thing home after I buy it? The store owner replied: After paying for the goods, it will be sent by express delivery, guaranteed to be delivered to your home!

I was quite confused when I checked out the next day.

Should I leave my luggage at the inn? I can probably leave the scenic area from the other side without going back; should I carry my luggage? My backpack is only 50 liters, but it has a 15-inch laptop! Plus cameras and other electronic digital products and clothes, it is not light.

In order not to go back, check out and carry it on your back!

First take the cable car to the top of the mountain.

After getting off the cable car at the top of the mountain, I started to tour the scenic area along the steps. I can only recall a few scenic spots based on photos and memory. For example, Zixiao Palace, Sanqing Pavilion, and the highest point "Golden Summit" (Zijin City)

The "Purple Gold City" attraction requires a separate entrance fee of 20 yuan per person.

After arriving at the "Purple Golden City" and visiting the highest point "Golden Summit", we started to go down the mountain. On the way, we passed the cable car station, but I didn't want to spend money, so I just walked down the mountain and walked to the mountain gate. I put on my headphones, packed my equipment, and ran down the mountain in big strides (I was really strong at that time).

During the trip, I probably passed by some Taoist temples, but I didn’t understand what they were. The weather was bad that day, so I couldn’t see any amazing natural scenery. I just had a general appreciation of "Wudang Mountain". I went to the 5A scenic spot, saw it, and left!

If you want to see the scenery, there is really no need to come to Wudang Mountain. Wudang Mountain is for architecture and Taoist culture. Its architecture is selected as a world cultural heritage! When Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty built these buildings, he built them on the mountain without changing the mountain, so there were some architectural miracles in the history of architecture, such as one of the pillars and twelve beams, which is a typical representative! Another thing is its Taoist culture! Therefore, if you want to compare it with Jiuzhaigou and Huashan, there is no need, the focus is not together, it is like a chef taking his specialty to compete with a tailor shop!

Wudang Mountain is a five-star tourist attraction in Hubei Province. Most tourists choose to stay near Wuyaling. Wuyaling is the terminus of a tourist bus route. It is located in the Wudang Mountain Scenic Area and has many hotels and family restaurants. The bus from the tourist center goes to Wuyaling, which is the terminus. In addition to taking the cable car from Qiongtai to the top of the Golden Summit, another way to climb the summit is to hike from Wuyaling, which takes about 3 and a half hours. In addition, the famous Nanyan Palace Scenic Area is located here in Wuyaling. Nanyan Palace has the most beautiful scenery in the Thirty-Six Rocks Scenic Area, and there is also the famous Dragon Head Incense. If you want to watch the sunrise, I suggest you stay at Jinding. Jinding Tianyun Building is next to Jinding Huangjing Pavilion. The conditions are poor. There are no electric blankets. The mountain said that electric blankets are not allowed to be used for fear of fire. The room is a bunk bed for four people. It was off-season when I went there, and there was basically no one. Then two people asked for a room for 200 yuan. It was very cold. I couldn't sleep even after covering all the quilts. The quilts were very damp, but this is the closest resting place to Jinding. In order to watch the sunrise in the morning without climbing the mountain, I can only make do with one night. There is Wudang Mountain Forbidden City on Jinding. It is the only building in China that can be compared with the Forbidden City of the Forbidden City. The so-called South Wudang and North Forbidden City are just like this. It was named so because of the undefeated status of the Wudang Mountain Royal Dojo. It is located at the top of Tianzhu Peak, the main peak of Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province. There is a stone city about 1km long, with four gates: East Tianmen, West Tianmen, South Tianmen, and North Tianmen. At the highest point in the city is the copper-cast gilded "Golden Palace" built in the 14th year of Yongle (1416), which is the main building in the city and is one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. Qiongtai Zhongguan is a scenic spot on the north side of the Panshan Highway. It is located at the foot of Tianzhu Peak of Wudang Mountain. It is the only way to climb the Golden Summit by cableway and the starting point of Qiongtai Cableway. Qiongtai Zhongguan is the holy place where Zhenwu Emperor, the most revered Taoist, was canonized. It is an important ancestral temple of Wudang Mountain. It is magnificent and spectacular.

I personally think that I need to correct something here. Wudang Mountain is not in Wuhan, but in Shiyan City. There are three trains from Wuhan to Shiyan every day. There is one in Hankou at 8 am, one at 5:05 pm, and one at 1 pm. It is taken from Wuchang Railway Station. Wudang Mountain is in the Wudang Mountain Special Zone in Shiyan City. From Shiyan Railway Station, you can take bus No. 203 and reach the gate of Wudang Mountain in about 50 minutes! The ticket is 142 yuan. Add 100 yuan for the scenic area bus ticket in the scenic area, and the scenic area bus is unlimited. There is a transfer station at the Taizipo scenic spot. You can transfer from here to Qiongtai to take the cable car to Jinding, or take the car from Taizipo to the Wuyaling parking lot. You can go to the Wuyaling Visitor Center and go to Nanyan and Jinding. There is no cable car here, mainly climbing the mountain. The more classic attractions in Wudang Mountain are Taizipo, Nanyan, Jinding, Zixiao Palace, and if it is spring, you can also add a Xiaoyao Valley.

Food in the scenic area is a bit expensive. If you mind, please buy food and drinks outside the mountain gate before entering! If you encounter anything in the scenic area, you can ask for help from the staff wearing red hats. In the spring of Wudang Mountain, you can go to see the red azaleas all over the mountains, which is very spectacular. The snow scene in winter is also unique!

But friends who are going there, please remember, don't listen to people on the street who ask you to tell fortunes or rest, because many of them are scammers, remember. In addition, after entering the Taoist temple, if you don't believe in Taoism, please don't burn incense. Because after burning incense, there will usually be a Taoist priest who will come to collect a certain amount of incense money from you, and sometimes the amount of money is really not up to you! And these are usually written on the sign at the entrance of the Taoist temple!

This is a famous Taoist mountain. It is said that the "True Martial Emperor" worshipped by Taoism attained enlightenment and ascended to heaven here. Wudang Mountain, also known as Taihe Mountain and Xuanyue Mountain, is located in Danjiangkou, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. It is a holy place for martial arts. Wudang martial arts is an important part of Chinese martial arts. There is a saying in the martial arts community that "Shaolin is revered in the north and Wudang is revered in the south." Wudang Mountain focuses on martial arts rather than mountains, so those who practice martial arts must come here, and those who travel around the mountains and rivers will have a second choice.

I went to Wudang alone and enjoyed two days of tranquility.

Because I love Tai Chi and have made some achievements, I have longed for Wudang Sect and Wudang Mountain, and I prefer it to Chenjiagou in Henan Province. It may be because as a tourist attraction, a mountain sounds much better than a ditch:)

This was during the 2010 World Cup. On the first day, I visited several scenic spots at the foot of the mountain and stayed at the Nangong Hotel halfway up the mountain. I ordered some fish and some wine, and enjoyed the moon and the stars. I watched the World Cup in the middle of the night, and then I set off, heading for the top of the mountain under the moon. Playing alone, the most important feeling is quietness. In addition, I set off early, and I followed my own pace along the way, or just strolled casually.

I always feel weightless when I see the small incense burner sticking out of the cliff. Maybe it is because of faith or in front of very quiet people, this is just a place to burn incense and pray. They may not think of danger at all. As for the open courtyard, I have seen Taoist priests practicing Tai Chi here more than once, which makes me fascinated. I am also lucky enough to practice here, which makes me feel happy.

The most beautiful place is of course the Golden Summit, which coincides with the sea of clouds, and is perhaps the greatest reward for my trip. When I was a little exhausted from walking all the way, the beautiful scenery in front of me seemed to hold up my body, allowing me to carefully experience the faith of the believers who come and go day and night. The green glazed tiles and the golden temples, a small courtyard on the top of these peaks, have become a holy place for communication between man and heaven. I slowly heard the voices in their hearts.

The tickets to Wudang Mountain are really expensive. The adult ticket is 140 yuan for the ticket + 100 yuan for the eco-friendly car + 3 yuan for insurance + 5 yuan for the map, a total of 248 yuan (the student ticket is 70 yuan for the ticket + 50 yuan for the eco-friendly car + 3 yuan for insurance + 5 yuan for the map, a total of 128 yuan). The student ticket is much cheaper, but the student ID card must be used together with the ID card.

The attractions mentioned in the above itinerary
