Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Mountain is named after the natural wonder "Tianmen Cave". When visiting Tianmen Mountain, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the mountain in the cable car.
The core attraction is the Tianmenshan Temple and the "Child-Seeking Cave" near the temple. According to folklore, the Goddess of Childbearing appeared here and people can pray for children if they make a sincere wish.
You must experience the glass plank road built on the cliffs. You can see the abyss below and feel the thrill while feeling the joy of walking in the air.

Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie should be a must-go place, which belongs to the urban area of Zhangjiajie. There are two pitfalls I encountered. First, it is "Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company" and "Tianmen Mountain Foothill". Because I didn't figure it out, I encountered a small problem. Second, it is the problem of the purchased online ticket (purchased on Alipay). Let's talk about the first one first. The online ticket I bought asked me to meet at Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company at 9 o'clock. Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company is in the urban area, very close to the railway station. I live in the urban area and walked there. After walking for 2-3 kilometers, I found a sign that it was about 5KM or more. I thought it was wrong and I couldn't walk there. So I took a taxi, got in the car and turned a corner, and the driver asked if I wanted to go to the cableway company. I was dizzy at the time and wasted the taxi money. The cableway company and the foot of Tianmen Mountain are different places. You can buy tickets at the cableway company. There are Line A (on the cableway, get off the shuttle bus), Line B (on the shuttle bus, get off the cableway), and Line C (get on and off the shuttle bus). The second question is, I bought the ticket on Alipay, and chose Line B. There was no time period to choose from, and I didn't know it at the time. Then someone contacted me and told me to wait there at 9 o'clock to pick up the ticket. At that time, I thought, shouldn't I get it myself? I said I could pick up the ticket myself, but they said no. I heard the owner of the inn say that it's best to go early because it's a holiday. So I got there at 8 o'clock, and saw that many people were already queuing, while I was waiting there to pick up the ticket. Later I found out that it was a tour group. I queued for the shuttle bus at 9 o'clock, and arrived at the foot of the mountain at 10 o'clock, changed to the shuttle bus, and started the exciting 99-turn journey. I guess when buying tickets, you must choose a good time. Pick up the ticket yourself.

Arrived at the foot of Tianmen Mountain, hiked up the mountain, reached Tianmen Mountain at 12:00, toured the West Line and East Line. At 3:00, returned to the cable car station and started the long queue. At 5:00, we started to take the cable car, and it was already 5:30 when we arrived at the foot of the mountain.

Summarize:

1. Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company "" and "Tianmen Mountain Foothill". 2 different places. Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company is in the city, there is a shuttle bus, you can buy tickets here.

2. When buying tickets online, make sure you check the time period. It is best not to choose tickets without a time period. It is troublesome as you cannot choose the time yourself.

3. If you are catching a bus in the afternoon, you must estimate the time well. For Line B tickets, you can first queue up for the number to go down the mountain. Then go sightseeing.

You can play there for a whole day. Although it is the off-season, you still have to queue up early to buy tickets if you want to go to Tianmen Mountain, because the tickets sold here are actually cable car tickets to Tianmen Mountain, but these tickets are sold according to time periods, which means you have to buy early to go up early. Generally, you go up at 12:00 and come down at 6:00 in the evening, which is enough time to play.

Because it is winter now, most of the scenic spots on the east line are closed, such as Tianmen Cave and Glass Plank Road. It is recommended that friends who go there for Tianmen Cave and Glass Plank Road should choose a good season~

My route is to go along the west line until Tianmen Mountain Temple. After returning to the starting point, take the elevator to the highest point to see the panoramic view and then go down the mountain.

In winter, it's basically snowy, but the snow in Tianshan Wonderland is really beautiful~

Tianmen Mountain, formerly known as Yunmeng Mountain and Songliang Mountain, is the highest mountain in Yongding District, Zhangjiajie. It is 8 kilometers north of the urban area. It is named after the natural wonder Tianmen Cave and is the earliest famous mountain recorded in history. The main peak is 1,518.6 meters high and was approved as a national forest park in July 1992.

The Tianmen Cave is a rare wonder in the world. It runs from north to south, with a height of 131.5 meters, a width of 57 meters, and a depth of 60 meters. It rises from the ground and leans against the sky, like a gateway to the sky. Hence, it is named Tianmen Mountain, which has a history of 1,754 years. The top of the mountain is relatively flat, with intact primitive secondary forests preserved, and many extremely precious and unique plant species. The forest coverage rate is 90%. There are towering ancient trees, vines entwined, mosses everywhere, stalagmites and stone buds everywhere, and bonsais like natural formations everywhere. It is praised by the world as the most beautiful sky garden and heavenly wonderland in the world. At noon on July 22, 2012, French roller skating master Yves Blondou challenged Tianmen Mountain.

There are three tour routes in Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, Line A, Line B and Line C.

A line goes up the mountain - the road goes down the mountain

Tour route: Take the cable car up the mountain - tour the top of the mountain - take the escalator through the mountain down to Tianmen Cave - take the scenic area tour bus down the mountain to the mountain gate - transfer to the free shuttle bus to the cable car station.

Route B: Go up the mountain by road and go down the mountain by cable car

Tour route: Take the free shuttle bus from the lower station of the cable car to the mountain gate - take the scenic area tour bus to Tianmen Cave - take the escalator through the mountain to the top of the mountain - tour the top of the mountain - take the cable car down the mountain to the lower station.

Route C: Road uphill - Road downhill (cannot take the cable car)

Tour route: Take the free shuttle bus to the mountain gate at the lower station of the cableway - take the scenic area tour bus to Tianmen Cave - take the escalator to the top of the mountain - tour the top of the mountain - take the escalator to Tianmen Cave - take the scenic area tour bus down the mountain to the mountain gate - take the free shuttle bus to the lower station of the cableway

Generally, most tourists choose Line A or Line B, because Line C cannot take the cable car. You can't experience the world's highest drop cable car, so it is recommended that you book in advance.

【Tour Suggestions】: The recommended tour time is 4-5 hours.

After getting off the cable car at Tianmen Mountain, you will reach the top of the mountain, which is exactly the dividing point between the East Line and the West Line. Most people will choose to visit the West Line because the scenery of this line is the most beautiful, and the East-West Line is circular, so neither will be missed. The advantage of playing on the West Line is that when you reach the East Line ladder, you will go down the ladder, so you don’t have to climb, and you won’t be tired. After getting off the cable car, I decisively chose the West Line and went directly to the Ghost Ancient Plank Road. The scenery is really beautiful, but it’s a pity that the weather was not very good, the sea of clouds was too big, and it was not clear from a distance. It took about 2 hours to complete the tour of the East and West Lines. I climbed down the ladder, thought it was still early, and I didn’t have enough fun, so I went back and climbed up the ladder of more than 1,000 steps, and then went back to the East Line and the West Line. I walked the Ghost Ancient Plank Road twice.

I won't spoil too much about the specific tour. Come if you want to play, I guarantee you will not regret it. 4 hours is enough for the whole tour.

The top of Tianmen Mountain is a large platform, and the tour route is a circle, which is also very large, but the scenery is really special and worth a visit. Later, take the elevator built in the mountain to go down the mountain, and then walk down the Thousand Steps Ladder under the Tianmen Cave, which is a very unique experience.

Tianmen Mountain is recommended to be included in the list of must-go places in life. The magnificence above is incomparable to ordinary places. Maybe you will be very unhappy about queuing, and maybe your legs will be sore from walking, but when you look back, everything will disappear.

Tianmen Mountain is a mountainous natural scenic spot, a world geological park, a national forest park, and a national 5A tourist area. It is located 8 kilometers south of the urban area of Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, with an altitude of 1,518.6 meters. Tianmen Mountain is not only eye-catching for its magical and unique geological appearance and beautiful natural scenery, but also famous for its profound and broad cultural connotations and colorful cultural sites. It is revered as the cultural soul and spiritual soul of Zhangjiajie.

Tianmen Mountain is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round, and the scene of the sea of clouds is ever-changing. It combines peaks, rocks, springs, streams, clouds and forests into one, combining grandeur, strangeness, beauty, danger and seclusion. It is known as the original garden in the sky. Tianmen Mountain is divided into four major tourist areas, namely, Biye Yaotai, Mixian Wonderland, Tianjie Buddhist Kingdom and Tianmen Cave, each with different scenery.

On the 1,264-meter-high cliff of Tianmen Mountain, there is a natural cave that runs from north to south. The cave is 131.5 meters from the bottom to the top, 37 meters wide and 60 meters deep. Tianmen Cave was born on the mountain, which can be called a strange mountain! Tianmen Mountain is famous because of the cave, which can be called a strange cave! Strange mountains and strange caves create strange scenery! !

Tianmen Mountain tickets can be purchased online or by self-service. You can scan the QR code with Alipay or use the self-service ticket machines in the scenic area. You need to make an appointment for a time period and choose the way to go up and down the mountain. You need to buy tickets in advance during the peak season. We bought tickets online the afternoon before, and the earliest time was 12:00 noon. We also needed this time period.

It should be noted that there are two entrances to the mountain, one is the Tianmen Mountain Cableway Station, and the other is the mountain gate (highway bus and Tianmen Cave Express Line). There are free buses between them.

Tianmen Mountain Tour Route ABC

Many tourists who are traveling to Tianmen Mountain for the first time will be troubled by the choice of tour routes when buying tickets for the scenic spot. I have walked through the tour routes of Tianmen Mountain and know that the route selection is as follows, so I suggest that friends who have not been to Tianmen Mountain should do their homework in advance to avoid trouble when they arrive at the scenic spot.

Tour routes: Central Route (uphill route), West Route, East Route

We will go up the mountain on the middle line of the tour route, and take the west line first: the upper station of the cable car → Yunmeng Fairy Peak → Lingxiao Terrace (climb the fairy terrace to start the journey to find the immortals) West Line Glass Plank Bridge → Yihong Pass → Guigu Natural Moat → Guigu Bingpan (learning with Sun Bin and Pang Juan) → Yefu Treasure (inquiring about the mystery of Li Zicheng's buried treasure) → Xiaotianmen → Bihe (Yin and Yang of heaven and earth, vertical and horizontal Bihe) → Guigu Cave (looking at the hanging door on the mountain wall from a distance, feeling the immortal soul of Guigu) → Qiuer Cave (throwing a stone into the cave, one sound is a son, two sounds are a daughter) → Tianmen Temple → Shenxianzuo (Laughing Eight Immortals) → Mushizhi Lian (woods and stones form a forest, hard rocks are planted with beech trees, "passing the exam") → Xianyuan → Nanfu Shitianmen → Shimen Suocui → Lingquan → Lingquanyuan (a foot of Lingquan water, a few drops of plum blossom rain) → Kouyunguan → Zuiyunting (the highest peak of Tianmen Mountain, overlooking the ups and downs of the mountains and the smoke and clouds of the city) → Yundong → Kuaihuolin → Yuhufeng → Beifu Shitianmen → Gongtong Garden → Shimen Suocui → Mountain Escalator → Tianmen Cave → Go up the Ladder → Square in front of Tianmen Cave → Take the Fast Downhill Cableway → "Tianmen Fox Fairy"

Tianmen Cave is so beautiful. The altitude difference is huge when taking the cable car. The glass plank road is a bit difficult for me, but I still overcame my fear. When I came down from Tianmen Cave, I didn’t know how many escalators there were. I was stunned.

The full name of Tianmen Mountain is Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. The ticket price is 258, including the cable car and bus fees.

There are three options when buying tickets: ropeway up and bus down, bus up and ropeway down, bus up and down. It is recommended to choose different ways to go up and down, so that you can experience both ropeway and bus.

You usually go to the Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company to buy and pick up tickets, so don't make a mistake.

It is recommended to buy tickets online in advance and choose a time slot. I arrived at the ticket office at noon, but there were only tickets for the bus up and down the mountain, and no other options. I regretted not buying tickets online in advance.

Tour duration: I went from about 1:00 p.m. to about 6:00 p.m., a total of more than five hours, not including the time for taking the bus back and forth. So I estimate that half a day to a whole day is enough.

I was quite disdainful of taking the bus, but I didn't expect it to be so exciting. The 20-30 minute ride is as exciting as a roller coaster. It feels like there is a sharp turn every few minutes. The 18 bends on the mountain road are nothing, there are 99 bends here!!! The driver was as steady as a rock throughout the whole journey. I admire him. Friends who are prone to motion sickness, promise me, don't take it.

I bought the A line, which should be the easiest, but many people don't know that after getting off the ropeway, I took the elevator directly to Yunmeng Xianding. The scenery is amazing, and you can take pictures of the sea of clouds at will, but it's too cold. It rained that day and it was estimated to be around 10 degrees here. My hands were frozen after taking a few photos, and then I took the elevator back to the lower station of the ropeway. To the left is the West Line. To the right is the East Line. Those who know how to play will definitely go to the West Line. In the photos I took, no one was walking on the glass cutting road, but in the end, the glass cutting road on the East Line was difficult to walk. We walked all the way on the plank road on the West Line, and later on the East Line, we chose the nearest way to take the seven-level escalator. We walked down the 999 steps. I don't understand why people have such good physical strength nowadays. Why do some people choose to walk up? I sweated when I went down. My hands were cold all day. According to the instructions, I went to the fast ropeway again, and I didn't have to queue up, and then took the bus back to the ropeway station. The whole journey was to queue up for 20 minutes for the ropeway up the mountain. I arrived at 8:45 and returned to the ropeway station at 1:30. I was not tired at all. Much easier than Yuanjiajie

Tianmen Mountain is about 8 kilometers away from the south of Zhangjiajie City. The top of the mountain is 1.93 kilometers wide from north to south and 1.96 kilometers long from east to west, covering an area of 2.2 square kilometers. It is a solitary mountain with cliffs on all sides. It is a relatively well-developed karst landform, which is different from the sandstone peaks and forests in Wulingyuan. The name of Tianmen Mountain suddenly came into the world's vision because of the World Aerobatic Grand Prix held in November 1999, which completed the feat of human beings flying through Tianmen Cave for the first time.

[Tianmen Mountain] is located in the southern suburbs of the city. You can take the cable car directly to the mountain. The most fun thing is this cable car and the glass plank road that is now popular all over the country.

Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area is relatively simple. It only takes half a day to go up the mountain by cable car and walk all the roads on the mountain. Then you can go down the mountain at Tianmen Cave and take the scenic area sightseeing bus back to the city. Of course, the same is true for going up the mountain by car and down the mountain by cable car.

Tianmen Mountain has three tour routes, A, B, and C. The above are A and B. C is to take a car up and down the mountain. Don't ever choose C. Not taking the cable car is equivalent to losing half the fun, really!

Tianmen Mountain is the most magnificent and beautiful fantasy given by nature. The scenery is strange, steep, dangerous, spectacular and charming, which is worth having. The tour guide of the scenic area is professional, dedicated and considerate. There is no shopping, and the time, itinerary and route are reasonable. The scenery is particularly impressive, extremely steep, broad and thrilling, strange and mysterious. You have to admire, marvel and be surprised. The humanistic culture and landscape are integrated. It is a paradise for international extreme sports enthusiasts. It is worth the trip!

The scenery of Tianmen Mountain is very beautiful, especially after the rain, when it is surrounded by clouds and mist.

When you go up the mountain from the Tianmen Mountain Cableway Station in the city, you will pass the Cableway Middle Station and the Cableway Upper Station.

The upper station of Tianmen Mountain Cableway is located at the top of the mountain. There are two tourist routes on the top of the mountain: the East Line and the West Line. The East Line has good scenery and the West Line has a glass plank road. Most tour groups only take the West Line. There is also another cableway line on the top of the mountain, connecting Tianmen Mountain Temple and the upper station of the cableway.

At the middle station of Tianmen Mountain Cableway, you can take a sightseeing bus to visit Tianmen Cave. The scenery of Tianmen Cave is average, it is mainly a landmark.

This is my favorite spot in Zhangjiajie. It is worth a visit and highly recommended. You can see the 99-bend highway from the cable car, and the mountains in the clouds and mist on the glass plank road are scattered and beautiful.

Tianmen Mountain Travel Tips

Tianmen Mountain is divided into A cableway up the mountain, bus down the mountain, B bus up the mountain, cableway down the mountain. If you want to relax, I recommend A line. If you want to try mountaineering, I recommend B line. I originally wanted to climb the mountain, but I decided to go to Tianmen Mountain at 3 pm, which was a bit rushed (before I came, I always thought that the ticket for Tianmen Mountain had to be booked one day in advance. After checking the information and guide, I found that the opinions were different. Finally, I decided to try it myself. The conclusion is that it can be booked on the same day). So I took the A line, which saved time and effort. I saw all the classics and interesting things. There is a place that needs to be specially marked. You need to know how to go down the mountain when you go up the mountain. You need to ask about what you are concerned about, and then visit it by yourself. The culture of each place should be understood clearly before going there, and then you will have a different feeling when you visit. (Highlight the important points, you can buy tickets on the same day)

In short, it will be very helpful for you to check the travel guide before you go. For me, this time I was going on a spontaneous trip, with no destination and no time limit. When I passed by the disbanded tour group in the forest park, I thought that I would never travel with a group again in my life. It was a waste of time and money.

Please write more details when you have time. You can ask questions.

It was beautiful. I encountered the sea of clouds when I went there on March 3. It was so beautiful that I felt like I was in a fairyland. The sea of clouds appears about 33 days a year. I was super lucky.

In addition to Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie is another magical place with the world's longest cableway (supposedly), winding mountain roads, and a huge mountain gate. It's worth a visit, and half a day is enough.

Zhangjiajie tourism is too bad! There are scams everywhere, black tour guides everywhere, and queues everywhere. The experience is extremely bad! ! Zhangjiajie damages the image of a tourist city!

It was actually too foggy at the time, so apart from climbing up to the Tianmen Cave, there is nothing much to recall.

I don’t need to say more about this. If you come to Zhangjiajie and don’t visit Tianmen Mountain, it’s like you haven’t been there at all.

By If you want to leave, don't stay |

It’s the wonder of nature. It was not a good day and it rained, but it was still beautiful.

By The flightless pigeon |

Be sure to check the weather before going out. You can't see a fart on a rainy day.

By Ignore and do not step on |

I just came back from Zhangjiajie with my friends. We visited Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain, Glass Bridge, and Phoenix Ancient Town. We spent five days together. The whole trip cost less than 1,500 yuan. We arranged for Tujia sisters Hua Doudou to have fun. The fee included the tickets to the major scenic spots in Zhangjiajie, which cost more than a thousand yuan; the whole trip transportation fee, which was a long distance; four nights in a Ctrip-listed hotel; the whole trip consultant service fee and meal fee; we did not go back or go to any shopping spots, and all the time was spent on sightseeing.

The scenery is super beautiful. This is the longest cableway I have ever taken. Feel the wonders of nature.

By Network |

This review is purely because I can't take the cable car. If you want to take the cable car, don't navigate directly to this point. You can only take a car up the mountain, then take the cable car down the mountain, and then take a car back to the parking lot. Also, you need an ID card to buy and check the ticket.

Don't go up on a rainy day, you can't see anything! The temperature dropped by 20 degrees, and I saw rime in March! It was freezing! I strongly recommend watching the real-time image of the mountain on the big screen at the cable car ticket office before deciding whether to go up. Tianmen Mountain is very nice, but the weather is really important!

During the rainy season, if you are lucky enough to see the sky clear after the rain, the rain and fog of Tianmen Mountain will fill the mountains and make you feel magnificent, and the sea of clouds will be stunning. The half-hour cable car ride is enough for you to travel from the world under the clouds to the paradise above the clouds.

By IrisL |

God knows how I climbed Tianmen Mountain~~~ It was okay at the beginning, but the steps in some sections were quite steep. Halfway up, I really had to climb stairs, climbing with my hands (don’t feel embarrassed or shy, because you will find that people around you are climbing with their hands 2333), a total of 999 steps! It took about half an hour to climb slowly, walking and stopping~

It takes about 30 minutes to go up Tianmen Mountain by cable car. When you reach the top of the mountain, you will be stunned by the beautiful scenery, all of which are ice and snow. For Guangdong people who have never seen snow, this is a beautiful sight. The only drawback is that the fog is too thick to appreciate the majesty of the mountains. The Tianmen Cave is also not viewable due to the fog and ice on the ground.

By Leng Linglong |

It is still very spectacular when viewed from the bottom up, especially the Tianmen Cave which is very big!

The beauty of Tianmen Mountain in winter is beyond words. It is absolutely beyond your imagination. It is so beautiful that it is like a paradise on earth.

Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area is the earliest famous mountain recorded in the history of Zhangjiajie. It is 1,518.6 meters above sea level and stands majestically on the edge of Zhangjiajie city. It is like a natural painting screen of Zhangjiajie and has become one of the most representative natural landscapes in Zhangjiajie.

It was great. It was early December when I went there. There were not many people and no need to queue. It was very cold at the top of the mountain. The top of the mountain was spectacular and the view was wide.

Tianmen Mountain is divided into four major scenic areas: Tianmen Cave, Tianjie Buddha Kingdom, Biye Yaotai, and Mixian Wonderland.

I have an inexplicable fondness for mountains. Maybe it's because I enjoy the process of climbing, or maybe it's because I like the feeling of looking down. Climbing high and looking far always makes me feel happy and satisfied. Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area can be said to be the leader of Zhangjiajie. It's a pity that I didn't see the unforgettable starry sky of my friends in October, but it was really worth the trip.

By Viya |

When I went there, people under 18 years old were free. I went to Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area to see the mountain and Tianmen Cave. I didn't feel anything when I passed by Tianmen Cave, but when I looked back from a distance, I realized how dangerous it was.

Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain is a national 5A-level tourist attraction with a rare wonder in the world - Tianmen Cave.

By Hello, long time no see |

Personally, I prefer the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, which feels farther away than Zhangjiajie Forest Park. The scenic area also has a glass plank road.

By Still wanting more |

Tianmen Mountain is in the downtown area of Zhangjiajie, and the airport, railway station, and bus station are all very close. Tianmen Cave, glass plank road, cableway, and winding mountain road in Tianmen Mountain are all highlights of visiting Tianmen Mountain. Be sure to book your tickets 1-3 days in advance, and choose the time period for entering the scenic area when booking your tickets, because you will not be allowed to enter the scenic area before the time limit. It is difficult to buy tickets at the ticket office on the day. Tickets are divided into Category A: cableway up the mountain, highway scenic shuttle down the mountain. Category B: highway scenic shuttle up the mountain, cableway down the mountain.

I went on a self-driving tour to Zhangjiajie during the Spring Festival, and my first stop was Tianmen Mountain. Tianmen Mountain has always had a lot of tourists, and it takes a lot of time to queue up for the cable car, so I arranged to visit Tianmen Mountain on the first day of the Lunar New Year. Sure enough, there were not many people, and I entered the cable car smoothly. During the ascent of the cable car, I encountered the morning light, which was so beautiful. It was a good day and a good mood, so let’s go together!

We waited in a long line and finally got on the sightseeing bus going up the mountain. The driver drove at a speed of over 6, which was very exciting. The scenery was so beautiful that every shot was a blockbuster. It was really picturesque. The higher you climb, the more spectacular the Tianmen Mountain becomes. I heard that this was also the filming location for "Avatar". The living environment of local residents can be seen below the cable car.

By minute |

There are two tour routes for Tianmen Mountain, A and B. You can take a bus directly to the foot of Tianmen Mountain. You have to climb 999 steps, which are very steep and almost vertical. If you can't climb up, you can take the elevator. The elevator costs 32 yuan per person. I think it's better to climb by yourself, otherwise what's the point. After climbing up, there is a free indoor elevator. You can take five or six very long, very long, very long escalators, and then you will reach a platform. You can start to visit Tianmen Mountain. There are two routes, the east and west, to choose from. If you have time, you can visit both, but I don't think it's necessary. The scenery on both sides is similar. I saw in the guide that the west route is more beautiful, so we chose the west route.

By Song |

You can go down to Tianmen Mountain by taking the escalator or climbing the stairs. The escalator we took was quite boring. If you have good physical strength, you should experience the stairs.

By Madsi |

There are three routes in Tianmen Mountain, namely A, B, and C. A is from the cable car up to the car down, B is from the car up to the cable car down, and C is from the car up to the car. A is more popular and needs to be booked online in advance or queued on site. As a tourist, I think the arrangement of the tourist routes in Tianmen is quite complete and you will not miss the essence of the scenic spot. You can take the escalator down the mountain on C (many people don’t know this), and A should not include the escalator down the mountain, so you need to buy a separate ticket. Tianmen Cave is nothing special, the 99 turns are not as exciting as rumored, and I am afraid of riding the escalator through the mountain (there are too many, and I am tired of it). There is a big temperature difference between the top and bottom of the mountain, the mountain view is not bad, the waiters in the scenic area are very good, and the routes in the scenic area are well arranged. Personally, I feel that there is no special food near the lower station of Tianmen Mountain Cableway. There are many shops, but the similarity rate is high.

By Winter is over |

It took about 1 hour by car from Zhangjiajie city (it couldn't be taken normally because the road was closed due to high-speed rail construction) to reach Wulingyuan Scenic Area. We started climbing the mountain at around 9 o'clock. As we had a one-day itinerary to visit Zhangjiajie Forest Park (it's too big) and time was very tight, fortunately our tour guide took us to take the elevator and we had a quick look at the main attractions.

By freezing point |

Tianmen Mountain does not belong to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You need to buy tickets separately, each ticket is 258 yuan, including mountain tickets, round-trip cable car and environmentally friendly car fees in the scenic area. Tickets are divided into three types: A, B, and C lines. The difference is the different modes of transportation. In addition to different routes, Tianmen Mountain tickets are also divided into time periods, and you can only enter the mountain within the specified time. The highlights are 1) The longest Tianmen Mountain Cableway; 2) The unfathomable Guigu Plank Road; 3) Tongtian Avenue; 4) Glass Plank Road; 5) The naturally created Tianmen Cave; 6) The six best mountain elevators; 7) The 999-step ladder to heaven;

By Xiaoying~lo |

It's still okay, but the scenery is worse than that of Forest Park.

By Diandian Zangxin Pavilion |

I chose line B, the eco-friendly car goes up the mountain and the cable car goes down the mountain. Because I came with my mother, I decisively bought the escalator ticket. If you are young, I suggest walking the 999 steps under the Tianmen Cave. The driver of the eco-friendly car is very skilled. I don't know how many big bends there are on the way up the mountain. It is very thrilling. The cable car going down the mountain is very fast. The end point is in the city. It takes 28 minutes one way, which is also a good experience. I think people who are afraid of heights should not come here. Anyway, my legs are a little weak even if I am not afraid of heights. Even if you enter the park in different time periods, there are still many people, especially the glass plank road, which is too pitfall. There are people every few dozen meters... In terms of scenery, I think it is not as good as Zhangjiajie Forest Park.

By Mr. Lily of the Valley |

Recommended for a one-day trip. The natural cave formed by the karst landform, Tianmen Mountain is always surrounded by clouds and mist, which is super beautiful! Of course, after the rain, the clouds and fog will be very large, and the whole mountain will be surrounded by fog!

The glass plank road is a short section, not so exciting, and you have to pay 5 yuan for shoe covers (the shoe covers need to be recycled). The scenery of Guigu Road is good, and the Tianmen Mountain Cable Bridge is quite interesting~

Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain, with an altitude of 1350-1500 meters, is a complete syncline tectonic unit in geology, with typical mid-mountain karst platform peak forest canyon landforms. The mountain is a karst platform cliff landscape, and the mountain is a karst peak forest canyon landscape. Karst hills, stone buds, depressions, funnels, and karst caves are widely distributed throughout the mountain.

Tianmen Mountain is located in the downtown area of Zhangjiajie. After breakfast, it took 5 minutes to walk to the ticket machine. Because the tickets were booked in advance, there were not many people, and the tickets were picked up in a few minutes. Tianmen Mountain has two routes, Line A and Line B. Line A is a cable car up the mountain and an eco-friendly car down the mountain. Line B is the opposite. We chose Line A because we wanted to experience the longest and steepest cable car in Asia. After more than 30 minutes of cable car up the mountain, we chose the West Line. The West Line is more essential, but the journey is not far. We finished the tour in about 2 hours. We walked along the East Line to Tianmen Cave. The naturally formed stone cave is really shocking. It took about 7 hours to play the whole Tianmen Mountain.

By The icing on the cake |

I think this place is more famous than it actually is. The scenery is far worse than Wulingyuan. I think it is enough to go directly to Wulingyuan when you come to Zhangjiajie. The time spent playing in Tianmen Mountain is spent on the cable car and the scenic spot bus. The tickets are quite expensive, which I think is not worth it! If we had known that Tianmen Mountain was in this situation, we would have stayed in Wulingyuan for one more day. Tianmen Mountain just gives people a majestic feeling, and the scenery is really average.

By h,an! |

The scenic area has three routes: A, B, and C:

Take the A line road and get off the Panshan Highway

Route B: Winding road up the mountain - cableway down the mountain

C line Panshan Road up-Panshan Road down

In the afternoon, it rained a little. There were so many tourists in the scenic area that we waited in line for more than an hour to get on the cable car (the 7-kilometer cable car goes directly from the city to the top of Tianmen Mountain). It only takes half a day to tour Tianmen Mountain. Here we reached the glass wooden plank and traveled all the way to Tianmen Cave and climbed over 999 thresholds. The beauty of Tianmen Mountain is different from that of the Forest Park. The Forest Park has strange peaks and rocks, while this place is a little quiet, majestic and magnificent!

When I went there, there were so many people at the ticket booth. After queuing up to buy tickets (student tickets cost 316 yuan), I had to queue up to take the cable car or bus to go up the mountain. Later, because there were too many people on the cable car, I ran to the bus queue halfway through the queue and got on the bus. A few minutes later, I arrived at the gate at the foot of Tianmen Mountain (where you can also buy tickets). I continued to queue up to take the bus up the mountain. The road up the mountain was quite steep and there were many bends. It took nearly an hour. When I arrived at the foot of the stairs of Tianmen Cave, a spectacular scene appeared in front of me, and many of the scenery could not be captured with a camera.

Then I took 7 escalators to the top of the mountain. I chose the west line to go there. The fog in the morning had not dissipated yet. After lunch, I went to the east line. The fog had basically dissipated at this time, and the scenery was more beautiful. I returned to the cable car station on the west line at about 3 o'clock and lined up quickly. However, there were still a lot of people. Don't come here during holidays in the future, otherwise you will have to wait for a long time.

I knew it was hard to buy tickets to Tianmen Mountain. It was true! We drove in late August, when it was not the busiest time. We arrived in Zhangjiajie at 20:00 in the evening, and we were able to book a hotel (Weidi) across the road from the cable car station. Hotels in Zhangjiajie do not provide toothbrushes, so it is best to bring your own!

Location: Tianmen Mountain Cableway Parking Lot (entrance and exit) near No. 9 Dayong Road, Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City. Yes, the ticket parking lot, cableway entrance and exit, sightseeing car entrance and exit are all together, very convenient! I heard that the parking lot is free, but there are not many parking spaces, so I dare not judge.

Ticket price and classification: 258 yuan, discount ticket 130 yuan. Individual tourists can only buy tickets on the day, and discount tickets cannot be booked online. This ticket includes the cable car sightseeing bus and the mountain escalator (free section), which are divided into three types: A ticket: the entrance of the cable car station next to the ticket point goes through the city to the top of the mountain, and after playing on the top of the mountain, take the mountain escalator (free section) to Tianmen Cave, go down the stairs (relaxed, no need to buy a mountain escalator ticket) to the square in front of the cave, take the sightseeing bus down to the foot of the mountain, and transfer to the sightseeing bus to the ticket point; B ticket: take the sightseeing bus to the square in front of the cave at the sightseeing bus entrance next to the ticket point, go up the stairs (if you are tired, buy a mountain escalator ticket for 32 yuan) to Tianmen Cave, take the mountain escalator (free section) to the top of the mountain, and take the cable car back to the ticket point at the top of the cable car after playing; C ticket: take the sightseeing bus up and down, so you have to climb stairs from Tianmen Cave to the square in front of the cave (if you are tired, you can buy a mountain escalator ticket).

How to play on the top of the mountain: mainly plank roads, no long stairs to climb up and down, so it is relatively easy. The west line is more beautiful than the east line, the plank road has more cliffs, both lines have glass plank roads, each plank road needs to buy 5 yuan shoe covers, and they must be recycled (never buy shoe covers yourself at the foot of the mountain). A ticket cableway stand: (west line from north to south) Lingxiaotai (not up) - glass plank road - Guigu plank road - suspension bridge - Bihe - Qiuer Cave - Cherry Bay - (east line from south to north) Wood and Stone Love - South Overlooking Tianmen - Shimen Suocui - Glass Plank Road (reverse) - Lingquan - Happy Forest - Yuhu Peak - Zuiyun Pavilion - Kouyun Pass - Xianyuan - North Overlooking Tianmen - Tianmen Turning Water - Crossing the Mountain Escalator Station. B or C ticket cross the mountain escalator station, you can play in the opposite direction.

Tips for grabbing tickets: In the peak season, the iron gate opens at 5:30, the ticket gate opens at 6:00, and the ropeway opens at 6:30. At 4:40 in late August, more than ten people were already queuing outside the iron gate, and the vendor selling breakfast with a cart next to it had already started hawking, as if it was commonplace. Since all AB tickets have been pre-sold online, although I got the first ticket, I was told that BC tickets were available for all time periods, and A tickets were only available after 15:00 in the afternoon (nine time periods). But you can buy A tickets for this time period and enter before 7:30, otherwise you have to enter after 15:00 in the afternoon (I don't know if it's possible during the peak period). After going up the mountain, I heard that all the tickets were sold out at 7:30, but I don't know if it's true. We hurriedly entered the ropeway at 6:40 after breakfast, and the sightseeing bus returned to the ticket office at 11:00.

Tips: The taxi drivers in Zhangjiajie are of low quality. They either refuse to pick you up because the taxi is too close and lie to you that it is nearby, or take a detour and charge you more. They also like to recommend restaurants and scare you into buying tickets. It is really ugly! It is inconsistent with the city's appearance!

Except for the expensive food, everything else is good. You need to bring cash because you can't pay by scanning codes on the mountain.

Tianmen Mountain is worth visiting. It not only has the glass plank road, Tianmen Cave, but also 999 steps. I went there on a self-driving tour this summer vacation. If you want to see more pictures of the scenery, you can visit my space.

Most people go to Tianmen Mountain to see the glass plank road. Maybe my expectations were too high, so I found out that the glass plank road is only 50 meters long and there were so many people that I basically couldn't see anything, let alone take pictures.

We chose to take the cable car up the mountain and the car down the mountain. I recommend that you choose this method, which feels the most suitable! When the cable car passed through the clouds, the sky suddenly became clear, and a natural ink painting unfolded in front of us! It took about 5 hours to reach more than 1,400 meters. Although we didn't reach the highest peak, the scenery was quite good. After going up the mountain, we chose to take the west line to the east line, and soon we arrived at the glass plank road. Walking along the way in Tianmen Mountain, there are beautiful scenery everywhere! It is suitable for walking and taking pictures.
