Zhangjiajie Ten Miles Gallery

The Ten-mile Gallery is located in the Suoxiyu Scenic Area and is one of the highlights of the Suoxiyu Scenic Area. After getting off the scenic area bus, walk back to the entrance of the Ten-Li Gallery. If you don’t take the train, take the trail on the left. The train is very simple, like the children’s train in parks or playgrounds in the 1990s.

People walking along the path feel like they are in a painting. The valley is surrounded by dark peaks, and the rocks on the mountain form more than 200 stone landscapes that resemble people, objects, birds, and animals. Among them, the most famous ones are "Peacock Spreading Its Tail", "Old Man Gathering Herbs", "God of Longevity Welcoming Guests", and "Tiger Roaring to the Sky". The pedestrian path is very narrow, and only two people can pass side by side. If you catch up with the peak season, it will cause a lot of congestion.

The end of the trail is also the terminus of the train. The entire walking distance is less than 2 kilometers. It is up to you to decide whether to take the train.

Only a part of the Ten-Li Gallery has been developed. On the left is the Monkey Park, and on the right is the mountain road leading to Tianzi Mountain. If you don’t take the cable car, you can choose to walk up and down.

At the end of the Ten-Li Gallery is the hiking trail leading to Tianzi Mountain. We came down from Tianzi Mountain along this road in 2014. There are about five kilometers of mountain roads in total, and they are five ups and five downs. Tourists with average physical strength should not try it lightly.

The Shilihualang scenic area is not big, about 2.5 kilometers. There is a small train to take, or you can walk in and enjoy the scenery while walking. Relatively speaking, this scenic area is very relaxing. There are snacks at the end of the scenic area, and from here you can climb the mountain to the Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area.

It takes about half an hour to walk through the Shili Gallery one way. If you don't want to walk, you can take a sightseeing bus. I personally think it's unnecessary to take a sightseeing bus. The ticket price for a one-way sightseeing bus is 38, and a round-trip ticket is 52.

Many people who come to Shili Gallery take the train to go in and then walk out. At that time, we saw a lot of people queuing, so we went in first and then took the train back.

But I suggest you take the train in and out. It's uphill in and downhill out, so it won't be too tiring.

There aren't that many monkeys here, but there are a lot at the Golden Whip Stream. There aren't many monkeys in the monkey park either, but many of them have climbed up the trees. The monkeys will pull you, so you can't get close to take pictures.

Young people actually don’t feel tired walking back, but we don’t want the elderly to be too tired, so we try all the browsing methods.

If the weather is good, it is recommended that you spend a day visiting Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajie and Shilihualang.

In general, Zhangjiajie Forest Park is about looking at the mountain from the bottom of the mountain and looking at the surroundings from the mountain. The Ten-mile Gallery is at the bottom of the mountain. You can see the shape of the mountain and take whatever you think it looks like. After entering Wulingyuan Scenic Area, the first place you arrive at is the Ten-Li Gallery. It is not as far as you might think, just 5 kilometers one way. It is recommended to walk there. On both sides of the valley, there are lush trees and dark peaks, forming strange shapes that look like humans and animals. You can give full play to your imagination. Of course, the most classic and most similar ones are "Peacock Spreading its Tail", "Old Man Collecting Herbs", and "Three Women Peak".

The scenic spot is not big, and the round trip hike takes only an hour, but the scenery is good and worth going.

In the summer, take a train when you go up there. Don't hesitate or you'll sweat a lot. Just walk down. The finger painting gallery above is pretty good. I recommend it. I stayed in it for a long time.

There are many wild monkeys in the jungle, and they are not afraid of people at all. If you carry a bag of snacks in your hand, the monkeys will snatch it away! So it is best to put the food you bring in your bag.

There is a small train to pick up passengers at the Ten-Li Gallery. The map shows that the journey is not far and the road is flat, so I walked all the way. It didn’t take long to reach the end, which is only about 2 kilometers. The signboard said 5.8 kilometers, but it is actually not ten miles.

There is an attraction worth visiting at the foot of the mountain, but the road is quite narrow and only two people can walk side by side.

I still recommend taking a one-way train ride, which has explanations for each attraction. We walked and saw everything by ourselves on the way there, and didn't understand anything. We only understood it after listening to the explanations on the train on the way back.

It is the filming location of Monster Hunt, but it is far inferior to the Shili Gallery in Lishui, Zhejiang!

You can still enter from the landmark gate and take the scenic bus to get off at Shilihualang. Shilihualang is a five-kilometer-long valley with many peaks on the side. Imagine the peaks as various people and objects. You can walk or take a small train for the ten-kilometer round trip. The peaks in Shilihualang are all backlit, so it is a bit difficult to take pictures. The Three Sisters Peaks at the end are well lit.

After walking for a while, you can take a small train to and from the mountain. There are various mountains on both sides and the Three Sisters Peak at the end. You can see the mountains there.

The Shili Gallery seems to be about six kilometers round trip. We walked there, and there were a lot of people on the road, and some people were taking pictures, so we didn't move fast. In order to save time, we took the train back. To be honest, I think if you have good physical strength, you don't need to take the train. Then the main content of the tour is to see the mountains on both sides. Due to time constraints, we walked to the end without staying for long, and did not take a closer look, because the fog was heavy and it was not very clear.

Take the train to the scenic area and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Ten-Li Gallery. It is called a gallery, and it is indeed worthy of its name. It is like traveling in a painting. The mountains are of different shapes, such as the old man collecting herbs and the Three Sisters Peak. You can experience it yourself. In fact, the Ten-Li Gallery is less than 3 kilometers in visual observation, and 2 hours is enough to visit it. It is recommended to take the train one way and walk out. Then return the same way (it is said that the eco-friendly car runs until 8 pm)

Entering the scenic area in the late afternoon can avoid the pain of queuing, but it must suit your schedule.

The Ten-Li Gallery is the closest attraction to the landmark gate. You can spend the afternoon of the first day to visit it. At the end of the Ten-Li Gallery, you will reach the road up the mountain.

Hesitantly, we moved forward. As a result, victory came too suddenly. In less than 40 minutes, we reached the end. I felt cheated by the introduction. It was only 3 kilometers at most. Fortunately, I didn't choose to take the small train at the entrance, otherwise I would have lost 38 yuan. I was not interested in going to the Monkey Park. If you want to save the cable car fee, you can climb the mountain from here. But it is said to take 3 hours.

We arrived at the Ten-mile Gallery at the foot of the mountain. The scenery is beautiful, but there are endless tourists.
