It is the largest wetland in China that is best preserved in its original state and is very popular among photography enthusiasts.
There are vast shrub meadows in the scenic area, which are as far as the eye can see. Wildlife is also extremely rich. This is one of the most important breeding grounds for red-crowned cranes in the world.
Climb to the top of the main peak, which is about 720 meters above sea level, and you can have a panoramic view of the wetland. The most representative landscape along the way is the leaf-shaped island in the middle of the lake.
From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the winding Genhe River and the city of Ergun. The houses with blue and pink roofs are interlaced, and the sunset in the evening is also very beautiful.

Before I went to Hulunbuir, I had a good impression of this wetland. The title of "China's most popular and beautiful forest tourist attraction" and "the most beautiful village" has always attracted me. And it is only 3 kilometers away from the city, so of course I have to check in!
Ergun Wetland is known as "Asia's No. 1 Wetland". It is the largest wetland in China with the best original state. Walking into the wetland, one cannot help but be impressed by the uncanny workmanship of nature, with rivers, swamps, trees, and jungles... The scenery is beautiful and magnificent.
The conclusion after watching is as follows:
Highlight 1: The endless shrub meadows are lush green in summer and golden in autumn. The scenery is pleasant and it is a good choice for photography.
Highlight 2: There are abundant species of wild animals and plants. It is one of the breeding grounds of red-crowned cranes and one of the habitats of the endangered species swan goose. Unfortunately, I didn't see it on this trip.
Highlight 3: You can take a sightseeing bus directly to the main peak, which is 720 meters above sea level. From the main peak observation deck, you can have a panoramic view of the wetland, especially the beautiful island in the middle of the lake and the winding Genhe River.
Highlight 4: You can overlook the entire city of Erguna. The blue and pink houses are scattered in an orderly manner, and the blue sky and white clouds are particularly beautiful. Especially the whole Russian-style building, you can appreciate it without leaving the country. When you come to Erguna, you must choose this kind of special hotel for accommodation.
Highlight 5: On a sunny day, watch the sunset from the top of the mountain. The setting sun dyes the whole sky red, and the winding Genhe River suddenly shines with golden light, which is also quite charming!
Must experience: Walking on the wetland plank road. The plank road is made entirely of wood and winds down from the main peak. Walking on it, you can see the flowers and trees on both sides breathing freely, the little squirrels jumping around happily, and looking down at the heart-shaped lake island, lush green bushes, and the winding Genhe River. It is really beautiful!
Tips: It is recommended to bring a coat when going to the wetland, as it was quite chilly in the scenic area at the end of July. There are special milk slices and beef jerky in the scenic area, most of which are made and sold by the merchants themselves. I bought a lot of bags and they tasted good. There are also special shawls and nesting dolls that can be bought as gifts for friends. There is an Inner Mongolian performance at the entrance of the scenic area. I don’t remember what it was called. The ticket price was 158 yuan and it lasted about 40 minutes. It was not a very outstanding stage performance, but it was okay to understand the local customs and culture.
All scenic spots are must-visit places for a large number of tourists and tour groups. Tourist buses line up early. Our scenic spot tickets are included in the chartered car. You need to pay for the battery car to go up the mountain, which costs 15 yuan per person for a round trip.
To enjoy the beautiful scenery of the wetland park, we have to climb a long hillside, so we did not choose to take the electric car. We just wanted to walk and take pictures while breathing in this refreshing and pleasant natural oxygen bar.
Erguna Wetland is commonly known as Genhe Wetland, known as "Asia's No. 1 Wetland". The clear water of Genhe River flows quietly, and the bushes on the bank are lush and green, forming a magnificent river wetland landscape. Looking at the beautiful oases in this natural ecology, one can't help but sigh at the ingenuity of nature!
Unfortunately, the morning sky had not yet opened its beautiful face. After finally reaching the top of the mountain, I didn't see the expected beautiful scenery, which inevitably made me lose interest.
Who would have thought that the haystacks on the roadside would be the first climax of today's journey. As we headed north, the temperature dropped and the grass turned yellow. The playground was a little bare after being harvested, but the round haystacks dotted here and there added a sense of cuteness and joy.
The Ergun Wetland is the largest wetland in China that has been preserved in its original state. It is known as the "No. 1 Wetland in Asia." The alluvial plain along the river bank looks like an oasis in the desert.
Ergun Wetland is the largest wetland in China and is known as "the first wetland in Asia". The total area of Ergun Wetland is 126,000 hectares. It belongs to the tidal flats of the Ergun River and its tributaries (Genhe River, Derbugan River, and Haur River).
The Ergun Wetland Scenic Area is only a small part of the Ergun Wetland, covering only 30,000 hectares.
Tips 1. The entrance to Ergun Wetland Park is located at the foot of the mountain. You can take a sightseeing bus to the viewing platform (the sightseeing bus ticket includes round trip)
2. The main attraction in the scenic area, Horseshoe Bay, can only be seen from the back of the viewing platform by going down the wooden plank road.
Navigation location 1. It is only 3km from the center of Ergun to the wetland park
2. If you are coming from other provinces or cities, you can choose to go to Hailar first and then take a chartered car to the wetland park.
Located in Ergun City, a county-level city in Hulunbuir, the ticket plus the battery car is 80 yuan per person, and it is a national 4A-level scenic spot. The scenic area is quite large, and if foreign tourists like me need to visit several attractions in one day, the battery car is a must.
Erguna Wetland is the largest wetland in Inner Mongolia. It is located in the northwest of Daxing'anling. Erguna River, Genhe River and other rivers flow through the wetland. It is rich in water and grass and has magnificent scenery. It was a region that many tribes in Inner Mongolia fought for at that time. It is said that this was also the location of the tribe of Genghis Khan's mother. Now Erguna Wetland is a large wetland protection area. It is recommended to take a battery car from the gate to the wetland museum on the top of the mountain, and then visit along the plank road in the wetland. The scenery along the way is beautiful and you can enjoy the vast grassland wetland scenery!
There are actually two wetland scenic spots near Ergun City:
1. Ergun Wetland Scenic Area is located in the urban area of Ergun. You can take a battery car to the top of the mountain to overlook the wetland scenery. You can actually leave after viewing it (the scenery is a bit like the Sunset Mountain in Heishantou Town). If you have enough time, you can go to the plank road on the mountainside to see the birch forest along the way (it will take about 40 minutes to hike). You can also overlook the city of Ergun in the scenic area.
2. Ergun National Wetland Park is some distance away from Ergun City. You can go deep into the wetland for hiking, but the tour takes a long time.
The first one we went to was the Ergun Wetland Scenic Area, and we felt it was quite good after we went there. I highly recommend it.
The battery car for this scenic spot needs to be purchased additionally for 15 yuan. It is better to buy it as it is a bit tiring to walk directly.
It was almost four o'clock when we arrived at the Ergun Wetland. The electric car drove to the top of the mountain. After climbing up to the observation deck, we felt the beautiful scenery overwhelming us.
The Ergun Wetland is actually a bit like the wetland scenery seen from the sunset mountain in Heishantou, but the river in the Ergun Wetland is more beautiful. I felt a little relieved when I came here, because it was already dark when I saw the wetland in Heishantou, and it was more than four o'clock in the afternoon when I arrived at the Ergun Wetland. The light was brighter, but very soft.
Because the daytime in Inner Mongolia is actually quite short, at around 4 o'clock, the sunlight is already as soft as the sunset. We were watching the scenery on the observation deck, and tourists around us kept exclaiming: "It's so beautiful, how can it be so beautiful!"
This attraction is actually mainly about overlooking the wetland from the highest observation deck. If you look quickly, you can actually see the most classic scenery in 15 minutes. If you have enough time, you can walk along the plank road down the mountain and see the yellow leaves along the way. Since Shunji and I were already quite tired that day, we did not walk along the plank road, but just took some photos at the top observation deck and ended the tour.
Since the Ergun Wetland Scenic Area is actually in Ergun City, you can see the panoramic view of the city from the hillside.
It is located on the edge of Ergun City, which is equivalent to a commanding height. You can see a corner of the integrated wetland. The scenery is quite good. The promotion point of Asia's largest wetland cannot be seen in the scenic area.
Ergun Wetland is the largest wetland in Asia. I think it is very good. There is a museum inside. It is also good to take children to popularize scientific knowledge. After buying tickets at the door, there is a commercial street inside, which sells special products. After entering, if you have bought a battery car ticket, you can take the battery car to visit the museum. After the visit, you can take the battery car to the top of the mountain to see the panoramic view of the wetland. After the visit, take the battery car to the exit. It is recommended to buy a battery car ticket.

D6. Manzhouli - Hulun Lake - Mammoth Park - Barhu Grassland - Hailar
If you start from Hailar, Erguna Wetland is a relatively close attraction, but we were shocked at the beginning. It is recommended to buy a scenic bus package, and don't walk to the commanding heights, leaving time and energy on the observation deck.
In addition to the "No. 1 wetland in Asia", there are also beautiful wetland landscapes from Erguna to Genhe. It is always right to believe that the beautiful scenery is on the roadside. From Erguna to Heishantou, the beautiful Genhe River has been winding on the right side of the road. The postcard-like scenery is everywhere. If you can occasionally encounter some cattle and horses, the picture will be more vivid.
The off-season ticket price for Ergun Wetland is 20 yuan per person. The scenic area bus is out of service. Self-driving cars are 20 yuan per vehicle.
There are some popular science exhibitions in the Wetland Museum. I don’t know if it’s too early or it’s off-season, some areas are not lit, it’s a good place to keep warm in winter
In winter, some of the paths leading up and down the wetland will be closed. You can drive along the driveway or walk to the viewing platform. There is a thick layer of snow, so please be careful.
There are no shops or toilets in winter
The Ergun Wetland is the largest and best-preserved wetland in China and is also known as "Asia's No. 1 Wetland".
There are also abundant wild animals and plants that rely on wetlands for survival and reproduction, with 20 million birds migrating, stopping, breeding and roosting here every year. This is one of the most important breeding grounds for red-crowned cranes in the world, and also one of the important habitats for the endangered swan goose.
Ergun is very beautiful. I hope I can come here again next time.
Known as the No. 1 wetland in Asia, you don't need to spend money to see it.
Generally, it is known as the largest wetland in Asia. It is a pity that you can't walk into the wetland to have a look. I heard that the scenery is more beautiful in autumn.
It's very beautiful. You can see the whole picture of the wetland and there are plank roads to walk on.
Genhe Wetland is much larger than Ergun Wetland!
Summer is all green, autumn should be beautiful... colorful...
The scenery is beautiful and worth seeing. It's very windy up there. The most annoying thing is that the service in the scenic area is really bad.
The first wetland in Asia! The scenery is very beautiful!
If the weather conditions are good, the scenery will be more charming. The scenic area and the plank road will be cleaned and maintained by staff, and they will be clean and tidy.
Ergun Wetland is the largest wetland in China that has been preserved in its original state. It is also known as the "No. 1 Wetland in Asia". The clear Genhe River flows quietly, and the winding water embraces the meadow. The banks are covered with shrubs and trees, which are full of greenery. In autumn, the grass and trees turn yellow, and from a distance, it looks like a golden land, which is another magnificent scene.
It is well worth seeing, even without the sun, it is still beautiful
The largest wetland in Asia, with charming scenery. It is close to Russia.
It is known as the first wetland in Asia. It covers a large area of natural landscape. The ticket for the scenic spot is 80 yuan per ticket. The wetland scenery is very beautiful. Locals also have many self-developed spots to see the wetland. The scenery is good and very affordable.
The Ergun Wetland is the number one wetland in Asia and it lives up to its reputation, you definitely have to see it, the sunset is the best, but we went there in July and the bites were too strong.
Although we didn't go deep into the hinterland, the scenery still looks charming when we look down from a high place.
p: Erguna Wetland used to be called Genhe Wetland, because some people always thought it was in Genhe. Now it has been renamed Erguna Wetland. The whole wetland is surrounded by a small river. Later, I looked at the map and found that this small river is Genhe. The wetland scenic area is very close to the city, so we walked there according to Baidu map. The ticket for the wetland scenic area is 65, half price is 30, and you can buy an electric car for 15. This electric car is not recommended to buy, because there are plank roads along the way to walk up, and it is still good to walk along the way to see the scenery. The distance from the entrance to the top of the mountain is not far, and I feel it is a loss to buy an electric car.
Super beautiful wetland, the color of autumn is golden, the color of summer is green, different seasons have different beauty. It is worth a visit. But the wooden stairs are too tiring to climb
Genhe Wetland is our first attraction. When the plane approaches Hailar, you can see the winding river and the woods surrounding the river. Because the grassland is too flat, the river will be S-shaped on the grassland, "circling" on the grassland in circles. In addition to the mainstream river, there are many water bubbles, forming wetlands. Locals say that it will be very beautiful when it is close to National Day. Locals have been here all their lives and still think it is beautiful. The best-looking wetland has been enclosed into a park and a plank road has been built. Fortunately, people and animals are not allowed to enter, so it is well protected. Along the way, I saw a sign reminding tourists to be careful of poisonous snakes. There are indeed poisonous snakes here in summer. The plank road in the park is still well built. Due to the season, the scenery of the park is average, and it will be much better near National Day. Genhe Wetland Park requires tickets and is a local attraction. If you "wet rent" a local tour guide and car, the tour guide knows how to bypass the entrance and visit for free, and the local tour guide knows the best time and route to visit.
The season is not right. But you can see the traces of the beauty. I look forward to coming again in July and August.
If you are lucky, you may encounter wild little foxes. In the off-season, only two scenic spots are open and the scenery is a bit depressed, but the golden birch forest on Bird Island is still worth seeing.
I just came here today. The off-season for ticket prices starts from October 15th to May of the following year, not September 16th as some reviews say. It feels like there is nothing to see in this season. You should come in late August or June, when you should be able to see the autumn scenery that everyone has taken.
There is also a post office at the observation deck, which is actually another date stamp of the Central Street Post Office in the city, and they also made a scenic stamp.
Beautiful Gesang flowers, beautiful wetlands! Every step you take feels like you are one step closer to the sky! When you reach the top of the mountain, it feels like the clouds are surrounding you, and the oxygen content in the air has doubled! There are several viewing platforms in the park, and you can also rest! In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery of the wetlands, there is also a wetland museum in the park!
The last time I came to Ergun Wetland was in summer. The whole scenic area was green, which felt a bit ordinary. This time it was autumn. The yellow leaves of the birch forest in the autumn wetland were very beautiful in the sun. Although it didn't feel like a show, it was worth seeing.
Autumn is such a great time to come, the colors are so rich and beautiful!
The Ergun Wetland Scenic Area is located in the suburbs of Ergun City. It is the largest and best-preserved wetland in China and is known as the "No. 1 Wetland in Asia". The terrain here is flat and open, and the Genhe River, a tributary of the Ergun River, meanders through it, forming a spectacular and beautiful river wetland landscape.
Ergun Wetland, ticket + eco-friendly car 80 yuan.
The play time is 1-2 hours.
The main attraction is the snake curve, and then there are the various woods in the wetland.
After getting off the tour bus, walk up to the viewing platform, which is also the best place to take photos. The plank road below does not have a particularly good view, so you can go or not.
When we arrived, the sky was very overcast and the wind was very strong, so the small plane still couldn't take off.
The beautiful scenery of traveling in late September is unimaginable
The wetland is high and can be viewed from a distance. The Ergun River runs through here, and artificial stairs can lead down to a place very close to the Ergun River.
It was really beautiful. Not many people came on September 20th to share these beautiful views with them.
Starting from Hulunbuir Airport, following the Amap navigation can take you to where you want to go very accurately, but unfortunately, the road to Erguna was under construction. The entire road was under construction. It had rained, and the road was muddy and full of puddles. It took four hours to travel only 100 kilometers. The rented car was said to be a new car that had only been driven for 500 kilometers and was clean. However, it was very dirty within a few hours of being handed over to us. In particular, we saw that all the cars on the opposite side were dirty on the road, and laughed at the cars here. Later, when we took this road, we realized that we had to get dirty. With the mud all the way, we became the same as them. We drove through the forests of Greater Khingan Range and always stopped to enjoy the scenery of the north. Here, I admired the dense original ecological forest and felt that China's green vegetation and forest coverage rate are still quite high. If there were more mountains and hills like this in China, more abundant resources would be left for future generations. We finally arrived at Ergun Wetland Park at two o'clock in the afternoon. The parking lot is free and the ticket price is 60/person. There is a shuttle bus for 10/person. Personally, I think you don't have to take it. It's not far to walk up, so we walked up.
Walk down the wooden plank road from the visitor center and then uphill to the highest observation point, where you can view the wetland under the cliff from different angles. Among them, the most representative landscape is the island in the middle of the lake that looks like a leaf. From the top of the mountain, you can also overlook the winding Genhe River and the city of Ergun, where the blue and pink roofs of the houses are staggered, which is very beautiful. If you stay until the evening, the wetland under the sunset will give you more surprises.
The weather was not so good that day. I had seen in the guide that the Genhe Wetland was bright and colorful under the sun. The sun shone through the clouds and illuminated the earth. The Genhe Wetland suddenly became a huge palette, presenting a colorful picture.
The opening hours here are 8:00-17:30. It takes us about 40 minutes to walk back and forth, not counting the time spent at the top of the mountain.
We just caught the most beautiful sunset. The brilliant light sprinkled on the entire wetland, and the trees in the wetland were also dyed golden yellow. At this time, a strong wind suddenly arose, and dark clouds in the sky slowly covered the entire wetland. The sky became darker and darker, and we returned to the hotel when we could hardly see the sunset.
The transportation is very inconvenient, it is suitable for chartered tours. The scenery is beautiful when the weather is good.
At 4pm, the scenic spot was super crowded. As for the scenery, I didn't want to fight for it. There were too many people and I walked around along the wooden plank road. Most of the famous scenic spots are basically in the peak season. You will regret not coming. You will regret it even more if you come. It ended in a hurry in an hour.
This is the largest wetland in China that is still in its original state. It is also known as "Asia's No. 1 wetland". The terrain here is flat and open. The tributary of the Ergun River, the Gen River, meanders through here, forming a spectacular and beautiful river wetland landscape. On the vast grassland, there are scattered hay bales. The sun shines down, and the ground is golden. The light is transparent, and you can feel hope.
Ergun Wetland is the largest wetland in China that has been preserved in its original state. It is also known as the "No. 1 Wetland in Asia". Because the wetland is so large, you can see it from any hilltop. The driver did not take us to the wetland park, but took us to a hilltop near the wetland park to look at it. It is said that the wetland park also overlooks the wetland from the trestle bridge, so we did not argue with the driver.
We just happened to catch the most beautiful sunset. The golden light sprinkled on the entire wetland, and the trees in the wetland were also dyed golden yellow. At this time, a strong wind suddenly arose, and dark clouds in the sky slowly covered the entire wetland. The sky became darker and darker, and we did not leave until the sunset was almost invisible.
We just happened to catch the most beautiful sunset. The golden light sprinkled on the entire wetland, and the trees in the wetland were also dyed golden yellow. At this time, a strong wind suddenly arose, and dark clouds in the sky slowly covered the entire wetland. The sky became darker and darker, and the sunset was almost invisible.
The ticket price is 65 yuan, and it costs 15 yuan to enter the park and take a sightseeing bus to the scenic area.
The plank road in the scenic area is built at the downhill roundabout. It twists and turns in the air, winding and lingering, with the purpose of bringing people closer to nature. However, compared with the plank road in Shanghai Xisha Wetland, which is directly built in the reed marsh, this distance is still too far. The beauty of changing scenery is vividly reflected here. No matter which section of the road you walk on, no matter how the depth of field changes, the trees, rivers, blue sky and white clouds always follow you and break into your lens without omission. The white clouds here change quickly and beautifully. Now look up at the sky, it is still a galloping horse, and just when you lower your head, it has become a flying bird and is drifting farther and farther. At this moment, you still look at them like a group of snow-white sheep, leisurely eating grass, but in the blink of an eye, they have become continuous hills winding away...
The Ergun Wetland, the largest wetland with the best preserved original state, is also known as "the No. 1 wetland in Asia".
The scenic area is not too big and you can play around it in less than 2 hours.
Drive 300 kilometers from Manzhouli to Ergunagan River Wetland. The scenic area is very small. The ticket is 65+15 yuan for an eco-friendly car. It's a bit dark, but the scenery is amazing.
You can also see it when watching the sunset at Heishantou. I don't think it's necessary to go to the scenic spot specifically to see it. I recommend Heishantou to watch the wetland at sunset.
Erguna is a big city with Erguna Wetland Scenic Area, where you can rest for one night. There are electric cars to pick you up in the scenic area. You can't see the wetland up close, you can only look at it from a high place. The whole scenic area is not big, and the viewing platform is gone. There are many homestays around the scenic area, with wooden houses and Mongolian yurts to choose from. It is difficult to book a good homestay during the peak season.
The largest wetland in Asia, stretching for hundreds of kilometers, the scenic area overlooks the wetland scenery, very beautiful
The Ergun Wetland Scenic Area is not large, but there are many people. It was very crowded when I took the sightseeing bus. To be honest, I feel that this scenery is really not as good as the Ergun River on the border two days ago.
Standing on the commanding heights of the wetland and looking down, you can see the beautiful city scenery, the fairyland-like natural ecology, and the winding river rushing in the center of the wetland. The natural scenery and the cultural landscape complement each other, forming a beautiful and unique landscape. The wetland is the most beautiful river valley wetland in China. The clear Genhe River flows quietly, the winding water embraces the meadow, the banks are covered with short trees and shrubs, and the greenery is lush. The flowers and plants on the wetland are swaying, and the white birch forests in the mountains are continuous. This is a pure land far away in the sky, integrated into nature, a holy place that was once vigorous and then returned to silence.
The Ergun Wetland was very exciting and lived up to our expectations.
The spectacular and beautiful river wetland landscape covers almost all types of natural ecosystems in Ergun except the virgin forest. There are many small shrubs in the wetland, and the Root River is looming. It is still worth a visit.
The Ergun wetland is more verdant, the ecology is well protected, and the river has drawn all kinds of magical landforms. From the mountain, you can also see the Ergun city from a distance.
You can only watch from a distance and not play with it.
Legend has it that the mark left by Genghis Khan's mount
The surrounding water can dry up
But the water in the horseshoe print is always full
The largest wetland in Asia, its winding paths and beautiful landscapes are beyond measure.
The Ergun River is the boundary river between China and Russia. The grasslands here are purer and the folk customs are more simple than in other places in Inner Mongolia. It also has the only Russian village in the country. It is ethnically diverse and very distinctive.
The motherland is so beautiful, so magnificent! It is like a paradise on earth!
It takes two and a half hours to get to Ergun from Hailar by bus, and then take a taxi for 10 yuan to the wetland scenic area.
Hulunbuir Chartered Tour Xiaoruwei x: woyidingxing168 Everything is so pristine. Only when you are in the depths of the grassland do you realize how small and tired you are. Look at the cattle and sheep grazing on the hillside and the endless grassland. The vastness here is not something you can experience in your hometown.
It is the largest wetland park in Asia. You can take an electric car up the mountain to overlook the panoramic view of the wetland, or walk down along the plank road to observe the wetland ecology up close.
From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the winding Genhe River and the city of Ergun. The houses with blue and pink roofs are staggered, which is very beautiful. This wetland is different from the wetlands I understand. The wetlands I understand are all swamps, but the Ergun wetland is a bush wetland.
The scenery here did not give me too much of a surprise. It might be different from what I expected, or it might be that the scenery along the way in the past few days was too shocking. But since I was here, I had to take a few photos anyway, at least not leave any regrets.
It turns out that this scenic spot is really very, very beautiful. Outside the scenic spot, it is simply unimaginable that you can see such a spectacular view on the observation deck (surpassing the feeling given to me by the Morigele River)
I won’t say much more. Is Ergun Wetland really beautiful?
The wetland is very close to the city of Erguna. It is said to be the largest wetland in Asia. Except for the peak season of only 4 months, the ticket price is only 20 yuan per person at other times. There is not much to do in winter. You can drive in with a private car after buying a "ticket". This is rare. I really don't like the shuttle buses operated by many scenic spots. The high charge is a small matter. The unreasonable arrangement greatly affects the travel experience.
There is a small ice sculpture in the scenic area and a wetland museum, but there is basically nothing in the museum.
Although the wetlands in winter are not as beautiful as those in summer, the white snow in the distance, the dense dead forest nearby, and the frozen river winding through them are also quite charming.
In the scenic area, you can also see the small town of Ergun not far away.
