Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourist Area

The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is located on the Gandeli Grassland in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, 70 kilometers away from Dongsheng District. The Mongolians are popular with "secret burials", so the exact location of the real Mausoleum of Genghis Khan has always been a mystery. The present-day Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is a cenotaph. It has been moved many times until 1954 when it was moved from the Ta'er Temple in Huangzhong County back to its original location in Ejin Horo Banner, 185 kilometers north of Baotou City. The green grass here is a magnificent view unique to grasslands. The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan has now become a major tourist attraction in Inner Mongolia.
The Genghis Khan Festival is the most solemn and dignified sacrificial activity of the Mongolian people to worship Genghis Khan's Mausoleum. It is called the Genghis Khan Mausoleum Festival for short. Genghis Khan's sacrifice is generally divided into weekday sacrifice, monthly sacrifice and seasonal sacrifice, all of which have fixed dates. Special sacrifices are held more than 60 times a year. The offerings are complete, including whole sheep, sacred wine and various dairy products, and a grand memorial ceremony is held. The spring sacrifice is held on March 21 of the lunar calendar every year, and the scale of the sacrifice is the largest and most solemn. Representatives from all leagues and banners go to the Genghis Khan Mausoleum in Ejin Khoro to offer sacrifices.

Although it is unknown where Genghis Khan was buried, his last breath was left here (it is said that before death, the last breath should be left on camel hair, so this tuft of hair is here). There are people who have been keeping vigil for him for generations.

There is a divine horse enshrined here, which is the descendant of a white horse that Genghis Khan worshipped during his lifetime. Just like the reincarnation of a lama, after the divine horse dies, if you look in the direction where its head falls, the white horse born at that time is the reincarnation of the divine horse. This horse has been raised freely, never ridden or tied up for life. There is also a reincarnation of Genghis Khan's mount during his lifetime. Anyway, these two horses are so lucky. The divine horse is inviolable. It has a very high status. It's a pity that I didn't have the chance to see it. The place is too big and I don't know where to go to play.

The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is located on the grassland of Yijinhuoluo Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. The Mongolians are popular with "secret burials". Today, the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is a cenotaph. No one knows where the real Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is. For thousands of years, many experts, scholars, and speculators have tried their best but to no avail. Therefore, the exact location of the real Mausoleum of Genghis Khan has always been a mystery.

The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is located in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia. It is directly accessible from Azhen Bus Station for 10 yuan.

Genghis Khan Mausoleum Scenic Spot, located in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, is the only large-scale cultural tourist attraction in the world with Genghis Khan culture as its theme. It is a national cultural industry demonstration base. In 2006, "Genghis Khan Sacrifice" was officially included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection list.

A large part of Chengling was artificially built later, with heavy traces of modern times. The scenic area is very large, and you need to hire a tour guide for explanations, which is expensive. In general, Chengling is not as good as imagined, with heavy traces of artificiality, many details are fake, and the ticket price is too high. It is not recommended to go. However, as a 5A-level scenic spot, it is also an important cultural attraction in Inner Mongolia, and it is connected to that bloody history.

The tour guide told us that Genghis Khan started from the Onon River, unified the Mongolian tribes, marched west to Khwarezm, marched to the East European Plain, destroyed the Western Xia Qiang people in the south, and finally unified the Central Plains. I was also very unkind to tell him that the Mongolian cavalry swept across Europe and Asia, but was kept out of Diaoyucheng for decades, and the Mongolian Khan Mengge died there. Unconsciously, two places thousands of miles apart were inexplicably connected. This may be the charm of cultural attractions. Even if there may be nothing to see, it can travel through time and space, narrow the distance between us, and let history bloom again. This is why I am keen on cultural attractions.

The scenery around the scenic spot is very beautiful, especially in autumn. There is no entrance to the scenic spot, the ticket price is high, and the content is probably not much. It is not recommended for people who are not interested in cultural attractions. But it is also unique and worth a look.

Genghis Khan (1162-1227, died at the age of 66) was a Mongolian national hero, a great figure in Chinese history, and a giant in world history.

After Genghis Khan's death, all Mongolian people commemorated this great hero in the most solemn way and built the Eight White Rooms of Genghis Khan, which is today's Genghis Khan Mausoleum. Five hundred Darghut households organized a special sacrificial organization, which was passed down from generation to generation and was dedicated to worshiping the heroic spirit of Genghis Khan.

The road from the city to the scenic area is very good. The Genghis Khan sculpture at the entrance of the tourist area is very imposing, and the Genghis Khan Iron Horse sculpture group behind is also good and spectacular. The mausoleum area at the end is relatively inferior. The ticket price is 170 yuan + 30 yuan for the bus ticket, which is a bit expensive.

The most disappointing attractions in history have too many 3A attractions and are full of tricks

By 93%BLAQ |

Surprise rating: One star

Disappointment index: four stars

I was very disappointed after I went there, so my suggestion is that if you don't have extraordinary admiration for Genghis Khan, you don't have to visit this attraction.

The scenic area is very large, the ticket price is 170 in the peak season and 120 in the off-season. After October 11th, it is the off-season, and there are also package tickets. However, it is recommended that if you really want to go, you can just buy the ticket, but my final suggestion is in the above paragraph...

The surprise index that allows it to be given one star is that there is a museum in the scenic area. The lighting is poor and the exhibits are roughly displayed, which affects the viewing experience. However, there are huge scrolls along the walls that show the life of Genghis Khan and the achievements of his descendants, with text introductions. It is quite interesting to read. You can just treat it as a review of historical knowledge and feel the style of our predecessors.

After visiting the large area in front, there will be a long road to the mausoleum palace. Although the staff said that you can choose to walk, you know... it is too far, so I spent 30 yuan to take a sightseeing bus (including the return trip to the parking lot), all the way in the strong wind to the gate in front of the mausoleum palace, the second ticket inspection (no need to buy a ticket again, the 170 ticket is enough to enter)

The scenic spots in Inner Mongolia can all be described in one word - big. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the mausoleum palace, and there are also Aobao and White Pagoda on the way. You can stop to take pictures and then continue walking.

You are not allowed to take photos or make loud noises in the mausoleum palace. In addition, incense is lit, so friends who are sensitive to smells should be careful. My friends in the same group sneezed a few times and were reminded by the security guard to keep quiet. After entering the mausoleum palace from the center, there are side halls on the left and right, with basically the same layout, enshrining the divine horse and the milk bucket respectively.

There is an altar on the right hand side after exiting the mausoleum palace. It takes about five minutes to walk to it, but it was surrounded and I couldn’t get up, so I took a photo from a distance and returned to the parking lot outside the second ticket entrance.

Visiting here is a feeling, understanding history, and remembering the king of the world. The gate was inscribed by Ulanfu. To be honest, I didn't know who he was. Later I learned that he was a Mongolian leader.

, step by step, walking in, there are not many buildings, it feels very empty, the main hall has Genghis Khan's relics - tents, horse gear, bows and arrows, etc. There are also many murals, golden statues, pictures, and cultural relics recording his life and great achievements. On the left side of the hall is an altar similar to the Tiantan Huanqiu. That's all there is in this park. The buildings all look new, and there are not many things. To be honest, if you are not interested in the plot, there is no need to come here.

Genghis Khan was a great hero. As his "fan", I still went to Chengling

But

As a southerner, I was very excited to visit Inner Mongolia for the first time, but I was very disappointed with this attraction.

Although it is called the mausoleum of Genghis Khan, it is just a cenotaph built by later generations. It may not be considered as such. After all, the real burial place of Genghis Khan is still a mystery. Genghis Khan once said that he wanted to be buried in Ordos after his death, so the Cheng Mausoleum here was built.

The scenic area is very big, but it is just big. Of course, this also means that you have to spend 30 yuan to take a bus in the scenic area. Otherwise, you can just walk about 6 or 7 kilometers back and forth.

170 yuan ticket (my colleagues all agreed that the ticket for this attraction is only worth 20 or 30 yuan? It should even be free, so you can imagine how much it is)

When I went there, the weather was bad and it was raining. Imagine walking up 9981 steps in the rain, a long way, just to see a sacrifice. There is not much to see in a place. In short, there is really not much to see.

That's all I can remember about the huge convoy and the long painting at the entrance.

The only thing that takes time is the long oil painting that introduces the life of Genghis Khan. Of course, this requires patience. Apart from that, there is really nothing else.

In short, it takes a long time to go to such a scenic spot. The total cost of the car fare and ticket is 200 yuan. If you don’t have a lot of time and money, and you don’t want to climb a lot of stairs, forget it.

About 40 kilometers south of the city of Ordos is the Genghis Khan Mausoleum, which is a nationally protected cultural relic and one of the four 5A-level scenic spots in Inner Mongolia (there is also a Xiangshawan in Ordos). It is said that this is the resting place that Genghis Khan personally chose for himself when he went on the Western Expedition. The mausoleum building looks majestic and full of ethnic minority characteristics. In addition, there are two white horses called "divine horses" in the park, but unfortunately I didn't see them.

By Yang |

If you want to visit the main mausoleum of Genghis Khan, you must ask for a guide, otherwise you won't understand anything. The guide is 150 yuan, and you can also find those who have finished the guide (it's like she takes private jobs, the price is set by them, but it's cheaper than buying directly at the window).

By Canaan - A Leaf Boat |

What a piece of shit! I am amazed that this place can be rated 5A. Why doesn't the local tourism bureau eat shit? It's all hidden expenses. There is nothing inside. Why come here to see sculptures? It's just a big square. They charge a fee. It's 170 yuan per ticket. The museum is like a private museum with a 5 yuan ticket? How much is the ticket to the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor? How much is the ticket to the Forbidden City?

By Leclerc |

This is the only national AAAAA-rated scenic spot among the cultural and historical scenic spots of the mausoleums of Chinese emperors and generals. It is 5A, which naturally means that the viewing degree, software and hardware facilities of this scenic spot are excellent. Because this scenic spot is located in the Ejin Horo Banner grassland, and Ordos is the keeper of Genghis Khan's mausoleum, the Genghis Khan Mausoleum is super large, so large that you can't imagine. However, because it is so large, if you walk all the way to see it in one day, you will probably be exhausted when you return to the hotel. Therefore, when traveling to this scenic spot, if there is a car to take, you should still pay for it, otherwise you will not be able to bear the physical strength. In addition, because there are many walking areas, it is recommended to travel as light as possible (it is impossible for those who play photography, all kinds of lenses are suitable and necessary, depending on your physical strength). If you go in summer, sunglasses, sunscreen, skin clothes, neck covers, and hats are necessary, because the ultraviolet rays are super strong. Oh, you must also remember to bring enough drinking water.

By Su Xiaoqi |

Since photography is prohibited in the park, you can only take photos outside. The park is full of descriptions of Genghis Khan's glorious achievements, as well as his battle robes, military tools, etc. There are also wax figures of him and his wives, which are worth visiting!

By Shunqiziji |

The Genghis Khan Mausoleum we visited was just a cenotaph. The 180 yuan entrance ticket was really a rip-off. It was 3.5 kilometers away from the actual park. If we walked there, we probably wouldn’t be able to return by dark. We had to spend another 30 yuan per person to take the park sightseeing bus to get there. . .

The cemetery is really big, but there are not many places to visit. It is said that it is mainly used for worship activities. If you don't know the relevant history, you should find a guide, otherwise it will be too boring.

By Kitty Xiaohanhan |

There are only a handful of tourists in the scenic area, which is better than being overcrowded. The guide of the scenic area led us to visit the entire scenic area. This is the cenotaph of Genghis Khan, a great hero of his generation. The guide explained his glorious life experience. The tour guide recommended the movie "Genghis Khan" to everyone, which is a very realistic portrayal of Genghis Khan's life. The scenic area is solemn and dignified, and many places are not allowed to take pictures. There are old monks chanting scriptures and praying in Mongolian.

By PM |

Not worth it. This slave has come to see the slave owner. If Song Dynasty had not been exhausted by Xixia and Jin Dynasty, Mongolia would not have had a chance. The scenic spot is just a big park, a tool for making money, bad review.

By I have no money but still want to hang out |

Tickets are bundled and you must buy the cemetery ticket, which is 180 yuan per person, which is unreasonable. I brought my parents and children with me, and my legs were not strong enough. In the end, I didn't go to the cemetery at all and only walked halfway. I followed the tour guide to listen to the explanation, but only my father was interested. My mother and I took the children to see it in a hurry. Personally, I think that if you are not interested in history or traveling with children, just give up this attraction and save your time, energy and money for more interesting places. This 5A scenic spot is really not worth it!

By King of Amy |

It seems unreasonable not to visit Genghis Khan's Mausoleum when you are in Ordos, but it is even more unreasonable that there is no public transportation to the mausoleum from the new district. It costs about 200 yuan to hire a car for a round trip, and the ticket for adults is 180 yuan, which includes the mausoleum and the tourist area. I saw too many exhibitions on the trip, and there were some repetitive things, but this is the real holy mausoleum of the Mongolian people after all, and the annual grand festival is also held here. It is indeed worth a visit, but it is also a test of leg strength to walk the whole way.

By Ping Er |

The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan was so sunny. I only saw the newly built mausoleum and didn’t have time to see the old one. I felt a little regretful!

By Bai Xubo |

Perhaps the proud emperors of the grasslands were meant to come from the grasslands and return to the grasslands. They were not as magnificent as the emperors of the mainland, whose mausoleums were either built on earth or on mountains. This place was just a cenotaph. Some of the ground buildings were probably built later, and they served more as museums. However, the grassland was large enough to be spread out on a flat surface.

By lay down |

Genghis Khan left nothing behind except a resounding name. Time is a butcher's knife.

By Maomao's Little Life |

The park is really big. The most impressive part is Genghis Khan Square and Genghis Khan Memorial Hall. . It was a surprise to see the memorial hall and iron horse of Genghis Khan, who led the Mongolian cavalry to sweep across Europe and Asia. The spectacular scene of marching with swords and horns in the past seems like yesterday. The roar of killing and the chirping of war horses have become the memory of the grassland heroes by later generations. There are almost two tourists here. There is no one around. Let's eat some dog food. .

There is no historical relics at all. They are all newly built by modern people to make money. The ticket is 180 yuan. I wonder what Genghis Khan thinks in heaven.

By Xiao Yan |

The Genghis Khan Mausoleum and the Genghis Khan Tourist Area in the Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourist Area used to sell tickets separately, but now they have been merged into one, with a unified ticket price of 180 yuan per person. People over 60 years old and students can buy tickets at half price with their ID cards. In fact, we only want to see the Genghis Khan Mausoleum, but now we are forced to buy tickets for both scenic spots. It's really a forced sale.

By A Little Luck |

As a Mongolian, I think the Genghis Khan Mausoleum is not just a tourist attraction, it represents our common belief and worship. Most Mongolians will choose to kneel down when they go to the Genghis Khan Mausoleum. And the Genghis Khan Mausoleum does not charge Mongolians for tickets!

It is a soul-stirring scenic spot. If you only want to see the scenery, then you should not go. It is not suitable. Some things cannot be seen with the eyes alone, but must be felt with the heart.

By Literary Black Cat |

To be honest, the 180 yuan ticket for this attraction is really overpriced. And when I went there, only the main cemetery was open, and the subsidiary scenic spot of the local travel company next to it was under renovation. But I like history very much. The hall in the cemetery is still well built, but taking pictures is prohibited inside. Many Inner Mongolian Mongolians and Outer Mongolians knelt down to worship. But I rarely see people of other nationalities worshiping. And when many Chinese and foreign leaders come to Inner Mongolia, this is a must-go place. Seeing many devout Mongolians, I feel that although this is not the real burial place of Genghis Khan, it is indeed a cultural holy place in the hearts of Mongolians.

The mausoleum of Genghis Khan. But it is just a symbolic mausoleum. Which emperor in history would like to let people know about his death? The park is very large, Genghis Khan's tomb, but apart from a few statues, there is really nothing to see. It is a place you will regret entering. There is nothing to see, and friends who like history can also listen to the tour guide telling historical stories. Even the tour guide said that this place is empty and there are no people in many places.

By zclh803 |

The tickets for Genghis Khan Mausoleum and Genghis Khan Tourist Area have been merged, and the price of the combined ticket is 180 yuan. Genghis Khan Mausoleum is the place where Genghis Khan's clothes and hats are located, and where Genghis Khan is worshipped. The Genghis Khan Tourist Area is a modern man-made scenic spot with no good scenery, which can be rated as extremely poor. The 180 yuan ticket does not include equestrian performances or any performances. In general, the 180 yuan ticket is not worth it. I don't know how such a scenic spot was rated as a 5a scenic spot.

By Monica Shishi |

By Martian User |

I haven't been to other cemeteries, but this one doesn't feel like a cemetery to me, haha. It feels more like a place that shows off its architectural style and connotation.

The length, width and number of steps all have specific meanings.

It's not that you can't take photos in all places in Genghis Khan's Mausoleum, you just can't take photos inside. You can take photos outside, and there's a lot of space outside, so you can take great photos. There is a place that only boys can go, not girls.

There are a lot of man-made landscapes. Almost all the tickets in the peak season are 180 yuan. After entering, there are various self-funded projects, small trains, and so on. I don’t recommend it. I will never play it a second time. Don’t come here, you will only be disappointed.

By Theodore |

Tickets are 180! There is nothing inside, just some sundries and biography, the road is just a T-shaped, it's not worth it

By The Wind in the Quiet Valley |

I came here with a tour group to pay homage to the Cheng Mausoleum, but was told that only an exhibition and museum area about Genghis Khan's deeds were open, and the sacrificial area of the Cheng Mausoleum was not open. This means that ordinary tourists like us cannot see even the cenotaph of Genghis Khan. I was curious about how tourists saw and took photos of it in the past, or whether it was a rule that was changed recently?

After the tour, I found that the tourist display area of Chengling is a newly built large-scale artificial scenic spot. The scale of the scenic spot is still very grand. The iron-cast Mongolian cavalry and the golden tent are displayed on the grassland with great momentum. The guide of the scenic spot also skillfully and accurately narrated the long oil painting of Genghis Khan's life achievements. If friends want to understand the Mongolian culture, they can come here, but if they want to visit the mausoleum, they will be disappointed.

After checking, I learned that the scenic spot I visited this time was the so-called [Donglian Scenic Spot] of Chengling (the ticket price is 150 yuan), which was built and operated by a local private enterprise; while the real Genghis Khan Mausoleum is in the [Mausoleum Scenic Spot] adjacent to it (the ticket price is 80 yuan), which is the place guarded by the Darhut people from generation to generation. The two scenic spots are completely operated independently. Due to well-known commercial interests, the disputes between the two companies seem to have never stopped, but it is obvious that the Donglian Scenic Spot is more attractive to travel agencies. This has caused inexplicable and serious damage to the rights and interests of tourists who are looking forward to visiting the real Chengling (after all, for ordinary tourists, visiting Inner Mongolia and Chengling is not something they can do whenever they want. Even if they come to Inner Mongolia, the 3-hour one-way drive from Hohhot to Chengling requires a day of round-trip time).

The emotional changes caused by this incident are understandable. Due to my business reasons, it is not difficult to come to Chengling again, but I hope that friends who read this post, if you plan to travel in Inner Mongolia and go to Chengling, must tell the travel agency clearly about the scenic spot you want to go to, so as to avoid regrets. This way, it will not be in vain for me to type so many words here.

By Alone with the wind |

On July 28, 2012, a group of more than ten of us were invited by the locals to visit Ordos for a few days, and our first stop was the "Genghis Khan Mausoleum".

It seems that this attraction should be ranked first in the local area, and it is a national 5A scenic spot. Just looking at the gate of the scenic spot from a distance in the parking lot is already very impressive and shocking.

There are two gates in the scenic area. After the driver dropped us off, he drove to the back gate to pick us up.

Climbing up the steps and entering the scenic area, there is a large open area, and the grass is full of statues of Mongolian soldiers, chariots, and horse formations. This large area is called "Golden Tent Iron Horse Sculpture Group".

Just seeing these bronze statues is very shocking, a feeling of awe in silence. What if you add the shouting of thousands of horses and soldiers? It's so imposing! The main body of the statue group on this piece of grass is the central army tent at the back, which is Genghis Khan's camp.

Behind the Iron Horse and Golden Tent statues is a small square with flags flying high around it, which looks very nice under the blue sky and white clouds. The smooth ground under your feet is a huge world map paved with marble, or more precisely, the regional map of Genghis Khan's era.

Genghis Khan is a legendary historical figure, and his mausoleum is a strong attraction for tourists. But where did he die? His burial place is also a mystery within a mystery. For hundreds of years, people have searched everywhere but have found nothing.

Maybe because Inner Mongolia is vast and sparsely populated, the whole scenic area gives people a very bright feeling. The blue sky and white clouds are my favorite! There are not many tourists, and it is not crowded and casual. Although I am not so clear about the history of the Yuan Dynasty, when I heard that "Genghis Khan died of illness when attacking Xixia in Ningxia", I remembered several trips to the "Xixia Royal Tombs" in Ningxia. I felt much closer when I connected them...

In August 2013, I visited the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan while on a business trip.

It was cloudy and drizzling, so there were few tourists.

We visited the exhibition room and remembered the great achievements of Mongolian military horses.

If you like to study history, humanities and ethnicity, it is recommended that you visit.

There is nothing worth visiting in Ordos. The so-called Chengling Mausoleum is beautiful. The cultural relics and historical sites are also average. And everyone must not go to the privately built so-called Chengling Scenic Area. The ticket is 120. There are scenes and statues built later. It is really not worth going. If there is a good thing about Chengling Mausoleum, it is that there is a grassland around it. It is okay with blue sky and white clouds. But don't eat in the yurt. More than 10 people ate a roasted whole lamb and spent more than 6,000. It is really not worth it.

The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is about 30 kilometers east of Ordos.

Located in Gander Aobao, Xinjie Town, Yijinhuoluo Banner, Ordos City. It consists of three Mongolian-style halls and corridors connected to them. The building is majestic and has a strong Mongolian national style. The building is divided into six parts: the main hall, the sleeping palace, the east hall, the west hall, the east corridor, and the west corridor.

There is a grassland that is not too big, you can ride horses, there are yurts, tickets to Genghis Khan's Mausoleum can also watch equestrianism and Ordos wedding performances, which is pretty good. In addition, Ulanmulun Lake is also good. The whole Ordos gives people a rush and is very clean.

I can only say that Genghis Khan Mausoleum also made me feel like I was there for a visit. But the racecourse next to it really made me excited. The roadside vendors boasted to me that I could ride horses, and I looked at the cattle in the distance and said: I'll walk there! Then my boyfriend walked over with me, and there was shit all over the ground == But this feeling is really better than Genghis Khan Mausoleum! Running into the cattle, combined with the autumn scenery, that feeling is superb!

Friends who want to buy tickets online must read the tips I wrote at the beginning, don't be cheated, I booked the ticket online, but found out that it was not the same place when I arrived, and I was charged a 20% handling fee for refunding the ticket. Tickets are ¥120. The exhibition area of the mausoleum introduces Genghis Khan's glorious life very clearly. It is recommended that friends with sufficient time can follow a tour guide to listen. I thought it was very interesting at the time, but unfortunately we were short of time and were dragged away by my parents. There are many cultural relics of the time in the exhibition area, as well as various portraits. Friends who are interested in history should come and take a look.

I was in a hurry and didn’t go in when I arrived at the tourist attraction. Haha, I just walked around outside!

If you know that this royal mausoleum has lasted for more than 800 years, and has been moved westward to Ta'er Temple in Qinghai through wind and rain, war and chaos, and then returned to Ordos, and that the Darhut people who have guarded the mausoleum for generations, a nation that once spanned the Eurasian continent, and a history that is worthy of praise and tears, how would you evaluate it? The belief of a nation, the birth of a sacrificial culture, the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is worth savoring for those who want to understand history, geography, and national culture.

This is a place of faith for Mongolians. It is not about how beautiful the scenery is, but the reverence in their hearts. This place should not be open. There are too many Han people who do not know the rules. When I came here, I saw a few uneducated muu hittads riding on the statue to take pictures. It is absolutely a blasphemy to the Mongolians. Every Mongolian who came here was respectful. I really don’t want those uneducated trolls to come here. You can’t see anything because you have no faith. Also, don’t say that Genghis Khan belongs to the Chinese nation. Genghis Khan will always belong to Mongolia~🙏🙏🙏🙏

Genghis Khan Mausoleum is located in the southern part of Ordos Plateau, on the Gandeli Aobao in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City. In 1219 and 1226, Genghis Khan made two westward expeditions. When he led his troops through this place, he was deeply attracted by the beautiful scenery here. He wrote poems to praise it on horseback and chose this place as his burial place. In August 1227, Genghis Khan fell off his horse and died while hunting. His body was transported here for burial. Since then, this place has been called "Ejin Horo", which means "the master's mausoleum". In the middle of this peaceful and harmonious grassland, it is marked by the unique style of the interconnected yurt halls that indicate that Genghis Khan, a great hero in the history of the Chinese nation who was feared and conquered the world, is buried here. The brave, enthusiastic and sturdy Ordos Darhut people have guarded their heroes for generations.

The mausoleum was built on the Isikhokhin grassland, and the boundless grassland makes the mausoleum even more majestic.

There really isn't a lot of Genghis Khan stuff, here are just a few

Genghis Khan's cenotaph is just like any other cemetery when you visit it on a normal day. All you see is the magnificent architecture. If you want to learn about Mongolian history, you should come and visit during the annual Genghis Khan memorial ceremony. Not only is the ticket free, but you can also get a deeper understanding of Genghis Khan and the magnificent history of the Yuan Dynasty.

The grassland of Chenglingwaiwei is also worth a visit. Here you can not only ride horses on the vast grassland, but also experience the special food in the surrounding yurts, such as roasted whole lamb, Mongolian food, and feel the atmosphere of non-stop singing and drinking.

Although it is a cenotaph, I always feel like something is missing if I don’t come here.

I don't want to say much here, not because we encountered heavy rain and hail at the beginning, nor because the ticket cost more than a hundred yuan but only had one hall and one show to watch. On the contrary, the weather that rained first and then cleared up made me feel comfortable both physically and mentally, and the seemingly simple but actually rich and meaningful content to watch is definitely worth the ticket.

However, I think: if you admire the great genius of the generation, you don't need to read this article, you will go there to commemorate his greatness. If you don't care, it's useless to say more. I just want to point out one point: this place was not open to the public before 1985, that is to say, this is a real sacrificial site, and it is definitely not a so-called "artificial landscape" built to cheat tourists' money.

In general, don't come to this place. It's not worth it. You can't see anything with the 150 yuan ticket.

Women are not allowed to go up on the Dianjiangtai. To put it nicely, it is for the health of women, as this place has a strong yang energy. But in fact, I think it is a form of discrimination. Of course, they don't care if you go up, but out of respect he didn't let his wife go up.

You must ask a tour guide to explain the Genghis Khan Mausoleum. It is a place worth visiting. After the visit, you can also wear Mongolian clothes for 30 yuan a set.

Worth visiting, the great Genghis Khan, the magnificent territory
