The scenery on the dam is really beautiful, even more beautiful than the Nalati Grassland. We kept taking pictures and flying drones. But on the way back, we almost got lost because we didn't take the normal asphalt road of the scenic spot, but drove on the dirt road. Fortunately, we finally got out and saw an off-road convoy driving into the depths of the desert.

It was a very glorious military horse farm at that time. Although there was no need for military horses in wars later, it provided high-quality military horses for border patrols.

There is not much to say here. It is a place that best reflects the grassland scene. The sky is high and the clouds are light, and the terrain is open. It is a good place for horse racing.

The Military Horse Farm is the only one in China that has not been taken away by the local authorities. But I have always believed that the name of the Military Horse Farm should not be a place name, but a function or purpose. So I used the location search and the answer I got was the Ulanbutong Tourist Scenic Area in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia.

I am a local, and I personally feel that Junmachang Town does not have many advantages except for its fame. The housing prices are high, and horse riding is expensive! The surrounding mountain villages are cost-effective.

By Zhilan Ninghai |

Hongshan Military Horse Farm, finally fulfilled my little wish, and felt the joy of riding a horse (get ready~sing!). Horse riding is charged in sections, starting at 100 yuan. In fact, the feeling of riding a horse is completely different from what I imagined. It was uncomfortable in every way. On the way back, I bargained with the auntie who led the horse and only added 50 yuan for us to ride back. It turned out that it would be better not to add this money and walk back slowly. The horse was running so hard that I almost fell off! All my internal organs were shaken out! It was really falling apart! !

The beauty of nature would be even more beautiful if we could return to the original horse farm.

The military horse farm refers to the entire Wulanbutong, not a tourist attraction. It is a town. When you go to Wulanbutong, you usually eat and stay here. Going west along the asphalt road is Baicao Aobao, and further ahead are the film and television base, Jiangjun Paozi, and Princess Lake.

I went there in winter and the snow scene was beautiful. I was lucky to see the scene of military horses galloping on the snowy plains.

The scenery is great! The environmental protection is also better than Hebei!

Since we went there late, we didn't have much contact and communication with the locals.

But the overall impression is good!

The scenery is very beautiful. It was the rainy season when we went there and the roads were very difficult. The service area is quite large. The accommodation conditions are average but sufficient. It would be better if we went in autumn.

The grassland is very magnificent. It is really refreshing and comfortable. Just looking at it makes you want to roll on it.

Hongshan Military Horse Farm is more beautiful than Saihanba. You must drive the off-road vehicle across the grassland. It is very beautiful. The horse riding, grass skiing and archery in the scenic spots are very average. Riding a beach buggy and paragliding are nice.

It feels great, I like it very much, and I was lucky enough to take a photo of the horses crossing the river

By Dingdang Dad |

I went there during the rainy season and saw very few horses. I just felt that the environment was not as good as I had imagined, with horse manure everywhere.

Hongshan Military Horse Farm is located in the Bashang area where the remnant of the Greater Khingan Range and the Yinshan Mountains meet. In Mongolian, this area is called Saihan Dabahan, which means beautiful high mountains in Chinese. Many people also call it Saihanba. Hongshan Military Horse Farm has 191,000 mu of high-quality land, 86,000 mu of forest, 32,000 mu of swampland, and 3,000 mu of water. There are five rivers, namely Tuligen River, Red Pine, Yanziyao, Shashubai, and Laowudian, and it is the main source of Luan River.

Hongshan Military Horse Farm is the grassland where we saw the most horses. The horses were not driven back at night but were left to roam freely on the grassland. The scenery is so beautiful that it is beyond words.

The scenery of Bashang Grassland in the golden autumn is absolutely beautiful! Every year, it attracts a large number of photography enthusiasts. The grassland is very large, there are no paved roads, and there are no road signs, so you can only rent a local off-road vehicle for sightseeing. Fortunately, the price is acceptable. The locals are very familiar with the road conditions and will act as tour guides to take you to places with beautiful scenery.

You have to ride a horse when you go to the grassland, so I rode this grassland for my first time. The price for 2 hours is 180 yuan/person, and the child follows an adult on a horse for 60 yuan/person. I was always afraid of tipping over when I rode for the first time, so it was safer to let someone lead the horse! It was quite fun after I got used to it. If the horseman wants to take you for a lap, be sure to pay attention, because there is an additional charge. You can bargain. The same trip was bargained from 200 to 100 yuan, and the money is directly given to the horseman, which is their small extra income!

At the horse farm, I saw herds of cattle and sheep again, and also saw the birch forest. The birch forest did not disappoint me and looked beautiful.

We left Beijing and took a bus to Bashang Grassland, heading north all the way, arriving at the enclosure for lunch at noon. Then we continued northward and entered Wenduer Flower Enclosure in the afternoon, where we saw the real Bashang Grassland (Ulanbutong). With the undulating hills, herds of cattle, sheep and horses could be seen from time to time on the grassland.

The first time I saw the vast grassland, I felt very excited and comfortable~

Arrived at Hongshan Military Horse Farm at dusk, the whole journey took about 7 hours. First, we offered sacrifices to the Aobao at Baicao Aobao, presented Hada, and drank horse wine.

By Leng Yaner |

It is a good place to stay which is convenient for traveling around!

At the Hongshan Military Horse Farm, when the shouting began, there was no breathing or words, only the rhythm of shutters and heartbeats... shocking. The air was mixed with flying snow, which was beautiful, surprising, joyful, sighing, shocking, roaring, and running, brothers.

Hongshan Military Horse Farm, also known as Wulanbutong Grassland Tourist Scenic Area, is an important scenic spot of Mulan Paddock. It is now a well-known film and television location base in China and abroad. Hongshan Military Horse Farm mainly displays the beautiful grassland scenery. It is very cool to ride a fast horse on the grassland.

The headquarters of Hongshan Military Horse Farm is now a prosperous small town with many hotels. Accommodation is tight on weekends, and it is hard to find a place to stay without reservation. Bringing your own tent should be a good choice. With the headquarters as the center, there are many scenic spots, which are relatively scattered. Infantry is not good for combat, and it takes too long; cavalry is not very good, short distance is OK, but long distance, time and money do not allow; mechanized equipment is best, haha, having a car is like having wings, but pay attention to safety, even on the vast grassland, you can't "fly too low" - pay attention to control the speed.

By Cherries |

After dinner, go out for a walk. You can’t walk far on the grassland without a car. You can watch the sunset by walking up a small hill. The sunset is so beautiful!

By Garfield cat |

The sign and the archway are very impressive. As long as you drive forward without hesitation, you won't miss it. . .

By Traveling around |

Finally, we chose to stay at the Beijing Military Region Hongshan Junmachang Hotel, which was quite expensive. It cost 480 yuan per night, and the stay was quite comfortable. There was hot water, a restaurant, breakfast for 20 yuan per person, lunch and dinner were ordered by yourself, and the parking lot was quite large.

By Sunshine |

Entering the Hongshan Military Horse Farm, the scenery is immediately different. Before, there were mountain roads and forest farms, but here, there are flat grasslands and hilly grasslands.

By Love is like dust |

The forests and grasslands here are organically combined, with the elegant and beautiful femininity of the south and the rugged and majestic masculinity of the north, combining the beauty of the south and the north. There are not only flat grasslands, but also rolling hills and even canyons. The mountain ridges are connected with the blue sky and white clouds, the dark blue woods and the green grass sea are intertwined, and the land is full of flowers. The grasslands are nestled against lakes, across rivers, and embrace wetlands, showing completely different characteristics from other grasslands. With its charming European grassland scenery, it has become a famous film and television location base.

By Snow Dew |

It is no longer the same as it was in 2006. There are many more houses. Cars are lined up in the town. It is a lively scene. We passed the film and television base and arrived at Jiangjun Paozi. The most popular activities here are horse riding and horse carriage. Horse riding costs 100 per hour, and the carriage costs 700. It takes a big circle to visit 4 scenic spots, namely Jiangjun Paozi, Galdan Ancient Battlefield, Wild Duck Lake, and Baihua Valley. Since there are 6 people in our group, I think it is appropriate to take a horse carriage. Unfortunately, I tried to bargain down to 400 but failed. My husband said forget it, just take a stroll by yourself, so we walked towards Shuipaozi. Not far away, there was another horse carriage for rent. The driver asked for 500. I was delighted and successfully bargained down to 300. I got in the car and left. I looked carefully and found that other people’s carriages had two horses, and ours had only one. I immediately felt sorry for the horse. Oh! It’s unbearable! But we were relatively small. I saw that several carriages were crowded with more than 10 people...

Hongshan Military Horse Farm is not big, it seems to be about the size of a village, but most of it is hotels and farmhouses.

We stayed there at night, in a farmhouse called Juxian Villa. The whole town is small, not many residents, but there are so many hotels! One next to another. There was a performance in the evening, singing, dancing and so on, it felt so-so.

By Qian Cheng |

If you want to see the "Ten Thousand Horses Galloping", you must get up early. We were 6 minutes late and only saw the part where the horses ran into the track, but didn't see them running down the mountain.

By Working Traveler |

The first time I saw the prairie, it was so beautiful that it could not be described or captured in words or with a camera. Only by going there in person can you understand what vastness is.

By wanghaolulu |

The ticket price of Hongshan Military Horse Farm has increased too fast, which is true to the saying "everything has increased except wages". Ticket prices have increased, but no money has been invested in hardware. The road is full of potholes and is much more difficult to walk than in the past two years. Where did the money go?

By Happy Miss Xiguan |

Hongshan Military Horse Farm was also an important nomadic area for the Mongolian people in history. Unfortunately, the herdsmen's residences that we occasionally see today are no longer traditional yurts. The yurts in the picture are just for tourists to experience life. The biggest regret of this trip is that I didn't walk into a real yurt and experience Mongolian life.

Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area also has hundreds of acres of pristine grasslands and wetlands, hundreds of thousands of acres of forests, numerous natural freshwater lakes, springs and rivers, and countless wild plants and animals. It is truly "the source of water, the hometown of clouds, the world of flowers, the ocean of forests, and the paradise of rare birds and animals."

This area is located in the interlaced area of hills and plains, showing completely different characteristics from other grasslands. Its remarkable characteristics have created a charming European grassland scenery, becoming a well-known film and television location base in China and abroad. We got on an off-road vehicle and drove across the grassland for more than three hours, enjoying the various different scenery on the grassland.

By Nian Bo Ye Ze |

The former farm site has now become a tourist town, with the streets filled with low-end hotels and restaurants. There are also many "Mongolian camps" on the edge of the town that can be used for accommodation and entertainment.

The wind on the grassland is very strong. The clouds are constantly changing in the wind, forming various patterns. The sun shines through the gaps in the clouds, and the colors of the dark clouds also become beautiful.

Hongshan Military Horse Farm is part of Wulanbutong, which belongs to Inner Mongolia. The scenery inside is absolutely beautiful, especially in Jiapigou and Wucai Mountain in autumn. When the sun rises, the slanting light and shadows make people warm and the trees golden. The long shadows are cast straight on the ground, which reminds me of the poem "I can't find the autumn sound when I wake up, and the steps are full of sycamore leaves in the bright sun." The small hills are like beautiful five-line scores, and the colorful trees are like jumping notes, composing moving music. We are like spotted butterflies flying among the flowers. Who says flowers are the most beautiful? When the trees and grasses change gradually, their colors are richer, more delicate and more charming than flowers.

By Beautiful landscape |

Personally, I think that if you don't want to see the Saihanba Forest, you can see the beautiful scenery at the Military Horse Farm. You can take a detour and save 150 yuan/person for the Saihanba and Yudaokou scenic spot combined ticket (detailed introduction later). The roads between the scenic spots in the Military Horse Farm are basically asphalt roads, with occasional shell holes, so you need to slow down in advance.

By JoyRider |

The rainstorm stopped in an instant. A ray of sunlight passed through the sky... a rainbow! A rainbow that I hadn't seen in years! But when we drove out of the town, in fact, it was only a few minutes, the rainbow had slowly disappeared... It's said that you can only encounter it when you encounter it, but you can't ask for it. However, the sky washed by rain was particularly soft in the sunset. The white clouds were just like milk smeared on blue jade, soft and delicate.

By Colorful Wings |

It was cloudy, with some drizzling rain. Some of the family and friends who came with me were visiting the grassland for the first time, so we went horseback riding, archery, and grass skiing. The package was 200 yuan, not worth it.

By Honest person |

It is a national scenic spot with the theme of the historical culture of the Qing emperors' northern tours, with the remains of royal hunting grounds, ancient battlefield sites, forest and grassland scenery as its main contents, and the organic integration of cultural and natural landscapes as its feature. It has multiple functions such as scenery viewing, summer vacation, scientific and educational cultural activities, etc.

It was sunny in the afternoon at Hongshan Military Horse Farm, and the weather was much warmer than expected. Our goal was to reach Baijiawopu to take pictures of the sunset and see the snow scenery along the way.

In the afternoon, the Hongshan Military Horse Farm was covered in silver under the sun, and the earth seemed frozen by the cold.

By Autumn Sea Tour |

Hongshan Military Horse Farm is a rare horse farm in China. It is under the jurisdiction of Beijing Military Region. The grassland here is already within the boundaries of Keshiketeng Banner, Inner Mongolia. After autumn, you can see golden birch forests all over the mountains in the distance. Xiaohetou Village and nearby ranches in the military horse farm are good places to take pictures of pastoral customs. There are more grasslands here, and the forests are not as dense and numerous as those in Saihanba Scenic Area. Once you enter the scenic area, drive forward to the end of a T-shaped road. To the right, the road sign indicates Xiangqunshan Scenic Area. After driving a short distance, there is no road, just a dirt road, so you have to return. After reaching the T-shaped intersection, drive forward and the road gradually turns north. At this time, there are hilly grasslands on both sides. The grass has turned yellow due to the cold weather. From time to time, you can see many horses running and eating grass.

By Hush |

It is located at the intersection of the remnants of the Greater Khingan Range and the Yinshan Mountains, in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is adjacent to the Saihanba Mechanized Forest Farm in Hebei Province, Yuanbaoshan Pasture in Keshiketeng Banner, Inner Mongolia, and Huamugou Forest Farm. It has a total area of 27,800 hectares and an average altitude of 1,500 meters.

The original price was 60/hour, but the invoice from the hotel could be 30/hour, but they refused to honor it when we got to the horse farm. However, the sunset at the horse farm, watching the horses coming back from grazing, immediately swept away the haze in my heart. In addition, the wind was strong, so I didn't ride a horse, which was one of the regrets of this trip. In addition, you must also pay attention to safety. When I was at the horse farm, I saw a little boy broke his arm...

By Sharp God |

The sun has set... From sunset to sunset glow... It's still so beautiful. After watching the sunset glow, the stars soon filled the deep blue sky. Unfortunately, due to the full moon and the strong moonlight, the Milky Way could not be seen...

The scenery here is really amazing, this is the Northland. (Remember there is a fork in the road not far after entering the military horse farm, take the left road and you will reach the town.) My friends all said they wanted to get off the car and play.

By Little Lucky Star |

The horse riding in the military horse farm is no longer calculated by time. The price is based on the place you want to go. The scenery on the road, the weather is cold this year, otherwise this grassland should be more interesting!

I went there in 2011. The local reception capacity is not very good, but the scenery is super beautiful. It is suitable for autumn and summer. It is recommended to charter a car. The ticket is not cheap.
