Linjiangtun

Linjiangtun is a settlement of Russian descendants in the northern border of my country, located 10 kilometers north of Mengwushiwei Sumu, Ergun City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is named because the village is close to the Ergun River, the boundary river between China and Russia. The villagers are mainly Russians and Chinese-Russian descendants, consisting of three ethnic groups: Han, Russian, and Mongolian. The houses are mainly "wooden-style" typical Russian dwellings.

At the border between Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia and Russia, there is a river called Ergun River, and beside the river there is a village called "Linjiangtun". Linjiangtun is an ancient, mysterious and exotic village. The village is not big, with only more than a hundred households, but 80% of them are tall and straight-nosed Russian descendants. They are simple and hospitable, and have been guarding the most primitive living customs for generations; in addition to retaining some Chinese customs, they also follow some strong Russian-specific customs.

After a section of gravel road, we arrived at Linjiang at night. Linjiang Village is a tourist attraction developed after Shiwei Town. There are still many herdsmen in the village, which is also self-employed. The wooden houses are hundreds of years old, and some of the houses are really beautifully decorated. It is worth staying overnight. Many families raise cattle and horses, and you can milk them and ride horses. The price of horse riding is affordable, not more than 100 or 200 yuan per hour in Heishantou.



The street is a main street, where people eat and sell goods. Horses are tied up on the street to roam and poop. It is not as prosperous and has brick and stone buildings as Shiwei. It is also quiet at night, which is why many people prefer Linjiang. It is also the world of dogs.

The Sino-Russian border is separated here by only a river, and the name of the river is the Ergun River. Every evening, when the sun slowly sets, a group of people gather here to chase the sunset, waiting for a long time just for that short moment of splendor!

Get up early and enjoy the dreamy morning mist along the river

Early in the morning, from dawn to the top of the sun, this period of time is always full of magic. Every day, every place, every minute and second, the world changes because of the supreme light. When the light meets the morning mist, it is dreamy and charming. If you want to watch the morning mist along the river, you need to get up early!

Linjiangtun is our favorite town during our trip. Besides being more peaceful, watching the sunset by the river is a unique experience. The sunset scenery can only be described as poetic and picturesque.

Due to the weather, we didn't stay here for too long. Coming out of Linjiang, there is a hillside on the left side of the road very close to the river. The driver, Xiao Zhang, said that it is a commanding point to climb and overlook Russia, and in early July, the hillside will be full of peony flowers.

When we arrived at Linjiangtun, it was already dark and the Russian landscape on the opposite bank was vaguely visible.

The northeastern villages and towns on the border are full of restaurants and hotels, and there are also northeastern people. It is also closer to Russia on the other side.

It is a very small village with very beautiful scenery.

I went there during the National Day holiday. The hotels here are all wooden and very cold, but the riverside scenery at the Sino-Russian border is still nice.

There is a village beside the Ergun River, named Linjiang Village because the locals call the river "jiang". There are only more than 80 households in the whole village, two-thirds of which are of Russian descent. The village is just at the foot of the mountain, simple and beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Here you can avoid the interference of the vulgar world and enjoy the quiet and peaceful natural light. It is very pleasant to take pictures of the sunset on the hill in the evening or enjoy the scene of herdsmen returning to the river.

The quiet town is a stopover during the journey. The facilities are relatively complete and you can ride horses in the town at a reasonable price.

Going north from Shiwei Town, there is a Linjiang Village that is also full of hotels and people.

It is a quiet little village, much more lively than Taiping Village. Backed by the Greater Khingan Range, this vast and fertile black soil makes the people half do agriculture, half do animal husbandry, and some do tourism. There are about a few hundred households in the village, most of whom are descendants of Chinese in Russia. In my words, they have a foreign face, but speak Northeastern dialect. If you walk around casually, you will see Russian small commodity stores and Russian bakeries. In Russia, there is a kind of bread called black bread, which is equivalent to the rice we eat every day. Russians must eat it every day, so they continue this traditional custom and open a small shop locally. Passers-by passing by the store can smell the milk fragrance.

Linjiangtun is located beside the Jie River, with large tracts of wheat fields and birch forests. Its most famous scenery is the beautiful afternoon and sunset.

Linjiangtun is worth recommending. The scenery here is very good. There is a commanding height from which you can overlook the entire border line. The locals call it Shenxianpo. Watching the sunset here is also very enjoyable. The most important thing is that it is relatively quiet here.

Linjiang is another small village on the right bank of the Ergun River. It is said that it can compete with Hemu when there is morning fog.

So, I went out in the dark before dawn, and accompanied by the barking of dogs, I walked a long way to the top of the mountain behind the village.

However, luck was not on our side again. Unfortunately, there was no morning mist today. We missed the morning mist in Qiqian and missed the morning mist in Linjiang again.

Without the morning mist and sunrise, the morning scenery along the river is somewhat dull. The roofs of the houses in the village are also not built consistently, further affecting the aesthetics. The final evaluation is: Hemu is still much better.

A small border village, like the more famous Enhe and Shiwei, there are many Russian villagers, but it is more backward. Every family raises horses and cattle, so there is a lot of manure, haha. The road to Linjiang is not easy to walk. Many places are under construction and the road conditions are very poor. Some places are already very bad gravel roads. The next day, because the border road we originally planned to take could not be taken, we took this road again. Our tires were tragically punctured twice on this road...

Linjiang is one of the tourist destinations that has rapidly gained popularity in Hulunbuir in recent years. Of course, with the arrival of tourism, the traditional primitive silence will be affected. This is inevitable. The increasingly serious commercial atmosphere will also have an impact on tourists' psychology, but purely from the perspective of scenery and landscape. Experiencing the joy of sunrise in Linjiang is a must for tourists who come to Hulunbuir. Although I have settled in Hulunbuir for nearly 10 years, I was really shocked when I went to Linjiang for the first time this year. The winding Ergun River flows gently, and Russia across the way is quiet. No filters are needed here, every photo is so charming!

To watch the sunrise in Linjiang, you have to go to Nanshan Mountain, and to watch the sunset, you have to go to Beishan Mountain. We didn't catch the sunrise or sunset, so we had to climb Beishan Mountain and look across the river, and we still enjoyed another beautiful view. The Ergun River divides it into two, and the other side of the river is the village or town of the fighting nation Russia.

There is a best spot for photography in the West Mountain of Linjiangtun. It is said that there are 112 boundary monuments of the motherland there, and you can also see the Ergun River. Who would have thought that the weather was so bad that day, it was drizzling, and the slope was really too steep! And the mud washed by rain would make you slip if you are not careful. I can only say that these beauties are beyond my ability to describe in words..

Climbing to the top of the mountain, I looked down at the winding river and watched the sun slowly set in the west below the foreign mountains. The sun disappeared for a moment, and the sky was red with colorful clouds. The most beautiful scenery in the world was right in front of me. I was so excited that I looked up to the sky and shouted, all my worries and troubles went with the river north. How wonderful!

In the town, you can see many things that you find novel, such as the Russian lady and her Russian-style food, the horse-drawn carriages of Vasili, the wooden buildings, and the swings in the small courtyard. In addition, when you visit this place, you can also take a cruise to visit the boundary river. When you take a cruise, you will have an indescribable feeling, which may be a confirmation of your own national identity, or it may be a kind of understanding after visiting the geographical boundary.

There are many tourists who come here to ride horses. There are horses running around in the village, which has a primitive feel. It was almost evening, so I didn't climb the mountain to see the village (I heard it is a highlight). But I drove up a nearby mountain. It was very exciting to climb the mountain. I could see a beautiful view of the Ergun River from the top of the mountain. I took a lot of photos. It was worth it. 😂

The construction method of the wooden house is mainly carved out of wood and hand axes. It has corners and is very standardized and neat, so people call it a wooden house. After the wooden house is built, you can paint it on the outside to keep the original color of the wood. The back of the wooden house we live in is close to the Ergun River. There is a large terrace at the back, which is the best place to view the scenery.

Linjiangtun, sunrise at Beishan, sunset at Nanshan, horseback riding by the river, Moon Paozi, Eagle's Mouth, simple folk customs, reasonable prices. If you can, try to stay in Linjiang instead of Shiwei. You will pass by the manor on the way and only charge 10 yuan for the fare.

We stayed in Linjiang at night. The scenery was picturesque and there were high mountains opposite the town, which was great for taking photos.

Linjiang is very quiet.

There are many horses in Linjiang Town. These are for entertaining tourists. The price is not expensive, about ten or twenty yuan for a ride, which is much cheaper than the racecourse on the road. If you want to take photos and experience horse riding, you can try it.

The village has a history of more than 100 years and is not very big. The master told us that the intersection at the entrance of the village is also where the villagers solicit business. As soon as a tourist bus enters the village, the villagers will lead the horses over and invite tourists to ride horses to the mountains for fun, such as to see the filming location of the movie "Wheat Field" or the green mountains and clear waters. "Riding horses" is the main job of the villagers in Linjiang Village in this season and an important source of income.

Life is like a journey. You don’t have to care about the destination. What matters is the scenery along the way and the mood of watching the scenery. Let your heart travel!

Just passing by

It's enough to just take a quick look. It's far worse than Shiwei.

Maybe it's because there's no pollution here, the sky is so clean. The moon is so real in the photos, but my camera is not advanced enough, which is a bit regrettable.

In the early morning, there is no trace of tourists in Linjiang, and it is also simple and shabby. Different people have different preferences. Compared with Shiwei, I like this place better.

A village with only 80 households, the residents are simple and hospitable. Two-thirds of the people are of Belarusian descent, and the Chinese-Russian descendants living here are already the third or fourth generation. The village is full of wooden houses. After dinner, the villagers take a leisurely walk in the village and chat about family matters. Compared with our fast-paced life at home, perhaps this kind of life is what we should yearn for in life...

At 5 o'clock, the sky gradually brightened, the thick fog gradually faded and dissipated, and the town still sat there quietly.

The whole row of wooden houses retains the rich Russian customs and folkways. Due to the inconvenient transportation, the whole town is rarely visited, and it is very quiet and harmonious. The masters drove us all the way to the best viewing point on the southern hillside, which saved us from the dust baptism when walking or riding horses. It was great! Just after 19:00, there were already many people on the hillside, and the small square platform at the commanding height was full of tripods. I did not occupy one place alone, but walked back and forth to shoot, changing the scene to shoot from multiple angles, and gained a lot.

At 3 o'clock in the morning on the second day after we checked into Linjiang, we got up to watch the sunrise. It was quite cold, so we needed to wear fleece jackets. We waited for more than 2 hours but still didn't see the sunrise. However, we saw the morning mist in Linjiang, which was light and curling, like clouds and smoke, and lingering over the town of Linjiang like a dream, giving Linjiang a mysterious color. The top of the mountain on the west side of Linjiang River is very open, and we stayed there until sunset that evening. There were not many people, and it was very quiet. Under the setting sun, the large fields of rapeseed flowers were no longer as dazzling as the bright yellow at noon, but the green-yellow color was more pastoral, and the clouds in the sky became gentle and light as feathers.

The night in Linjiang was very cold, only a few degrees. It was already bright at 3 am.

Linjiangtun is full of colorful forests in the distance. Linjiang is like a paradise at this time, leisurely and peaceful. The flowers in the morning light show a different kind of beauty.

Jiangtun is on the edge of the Boundary River. After crossing the river, you will reach Russia. It is not very big. Because the Boundary River sunset is very famous, the houses near the Boundary River are more expensive. At night, we saw many stars, especially the Big Dipper, which is rare to see in the mainland. We went to watch the sunrise at 4 o'clock in the morning. The morning fog was also interesting. We spent 15 yuan per person for breakfast and had a breakfast made by the boss's mother, who seemed to be Russian. It was really delicious.

Super five-star recommendation

There is a small hill on the north side of the village. On the hill there is a lookout tower for forest protection and fire prevention. Climbing up the tower or standing on the hill, you can overlook the entire village, the Ergun River and Russia on the opposite bank, the watchtower, the village, the path, the passing cars, the leisurely livestock. When everything is clear at a glance, a magical and cordial feeling arises in my heart.

The big bend in the picture 1 below is the most beautiful one in Linjiangtun. The river is set against white clouds and blue sky.

First of all, Linjiangtun is the most satisfying place in my trip to Manzhouli! I stayed here for 2 nights.

Let's talk about the road conditions first: From Shiwei Port to Linjiangtun is a dirt road, about a few kilometers, the road condition is OK, cars can pass. Linjiangtun Village is a highway.

Let's talk about accommodation: Linjiangtun is now very mature! The accommodation environment is very good, all of them are wooden houses! It is more expensive in the peak season, and very cheap in the off-season! The conditions are very mature!

Let's talk about food: Linjiangtun is too far from the city, so the food is a bit expensive! But it's not too outrageous! As for food, I recommend eating Huazi fish! Braised, especially delicious!

Let’s talk about other things: 1. You must stay in a hotel by the Boundary River, because the scenery is so beautiful. Open the window and see the Boundary River. Take a stroll there early in the morning and late in the evening. It is really a paradise on earth!

2. You must stay for one night. The starry sky here is really clean and beautiful!
