Wulanbutong Grassland

Wulanbutong Grassland is the grassland closest to Beijing and is known as the "back garden of Beijing".
You can ride horses and shoot arrows, take photos and ski on the grassland, ride a sheep cart, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the grassland, and experience the ethnic customs.
The grassland is endless, with snow covering up to five months in winter. The scenery varies in each season, especially in summer and autumn.
Costume TV series such as "My Fair Princess", "Kangxi Dynasty" and "Emperor Wu of Han" were filmed here.

The scenery of Wulanbutong Grassland in autumn is nice, the climate is relatively comfortable, and it rains occasionally. You can drive to feel the vastness of the grassland, or enjoy the unruly grassland on horseback. I feel relaxed every time I come here. After the National Day holiday, it is the off-season here. The weather is too cold and few people come. It is a good choice to take advantage of the golden autumn holiday to come to the suburbs of Beijing for a vacation with family and friends. This is also the filming location of "My Fair Princess", which evokes memories of childhood summer vacations.

Wulanbutong Grassland is located at the southernmost tip of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. It is part of Mulan Paddock in the Qing Dynasty (Mulan Paddock is mainly composed of four major scenic spots, namely Saihanba National Forest Park Scenic Area (in Hebei), Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area (in Hebei), Hongsongwa National Nature Reserve (in Hebei) and Wulanbutong Grassland Scenic Area (in Inner Mongolia). Wulanbutong Grassland is located in the transition area from warm temperate zone to cold zone. It is cold and dry in winter and warm and rainy in summer. Therefore, May to September is the best tourist season.

In fact, many such places are similar. They are not as vast as the horizon, but they also have their own characteristics. It is still very exciting to go deep into the mountains by off-road vehicle. It is like a roller coaster. There are herds of cattle, sheep and horses everywhere, and voles can be caught.

Wulanbutong Prairie is actually an area, and Princess Lake, Film and Television Base and other scenic spots are all in this area. You can drive from Baicao Aobao and drive a loop on the right hand side, which is very fast. The real beautiful scenery is actually on the way. Jiangjun Paozi is not good at all. It's a pity that Princess Lake was made into a small park like a golf course, which is very artificial. In the past, you don't have to worry about where to go or not. It's more than enough to drive around there for half a day and stop and go. In addition, the parking lot at the entrance of the Film and Television Base is a good spot to take pictures of the starry sky, away from light pollution. The photo shows the starry sky taken with a mobile phone behind the entrance house.

It's so beautiful. It's all golden in autumn.

The vast grassland, driving on the grassland is great!

He passed through five officials, killed six generals, cleverly broke through the mountain defense line, and ran freely on the Ulanbutong highway!

I don't want to say too much! It's all tears😭️ On May 1st, I drove for 15 hours to see the Ulanbutong Prairie. After running all night, the mountain was closed and we were not allowed to enter. We had to take a detour. Well, let's take a detour. I found a hotel to ask for directions and they asked me for 100 yuan. I had no choice but to give it to them! The damn thing was that they said the wrong route. I drove 200 kilometers blindly. I called the scenic area service staff and the staff was too honest. They said it was a desolate place and asked us to go back. I was stunned when I heard it. How can I go back after driving for 15 hours! At least I have to take a look and find the way. Either the mountain is closed or the road is under construction. I will never come to this broken place again in my life. It's so heartbreaking!!! I attached a picture to see what this place is.

It is a beautiful landscape all year round and a must-visit place for internet celebrities and tourists.

Sometimes the grassland makes people feel more open-minded than the sea.

The prairie in spring is barren yet full of vitality. The most important thing is that this is the off-season. Does it feel like you have the whole prairie to yourself?

I took photos of the sunrise at the photography base in the morning! It's so cold! You can bring your own tire to Jiangjun Lake! Take the kids on the ice in an off-road vehicle! Take photos at sunrise🐎! There's really nothing else to do in winter

There is no green, but you can still see the vastness of the grassland. After the peak season, all tourist projects are closed. From Saihanba to Hongshan Military Horse Farm, it is free, and there are basically no tourists. I came here when I arrived in Chengde.

Very beautiful, worthy of being a photographer's paradise, I will come again

If you want to avoid the crowds during National Day holiday, this is the best choice. There is no one in the area, the sky is vast and the wilderness is boundless, and it is a bleak scene of late autumn!

I was curious about the Mulan Paddock that often appeared in Qing Dynasty dramas. I heard that Wulanbutong was part of the original Mulan Paddock, so I decided to take a look. Wulanbutong is very large, and the distance between the scenic spots is quite far. It seems that you can only drive by yourself. I didn't see any shuttle buses in the scenic area. There were a lot of tourists during the National Day holiday, and the autumn scenery was a little over. I heard that July and August are the most beautiful seasons. I will go there again if I have the chance.

Take the route of Beijing-Chengde Expressway - Chengde - Weichang - Saihanba (Mechanical Forest Farm) - and finally to Ulanbutong (Hongshan Military Horse Farm).

Road conditions: Needless to say, the highway ahead, the road from Chengde to Weichang and then to Ulanbutong is narrow but still relatively flat, at the level of a provincial highway.

Scenery: There are many trees in Saihanba, so it is called a forest park. From the ground, you can see the traces of sand control in the past. Wulanbutong is a relatively primitive grassland, which is endless and has many birch forests. However, the grass is not very high at the end of July. With the change of time and overgrazing, the scene of "cattle and sheep appearing in the low grass" no longer exists. In short, the grassland in Wulanbutong is still quite beautiful.

In addition, the tourism services (food and accommodation) in Saihanba and Ulanbutong could be improved a little bit, and we can learn more from the provinces that are doing well.

Go to Ulanbutong in autumn to experience the autumn beauty of the Bashang grassland.

By 🌺Xiaomi🌺 |

October 2, 2018. I went there during the National Day Golden Week. I started from Tangshan, Hebei, went to Ulanbutong, passed through Saihanba, and then to Ulanbutong. Saihanba was just a passing point, and the ticket was 120. I passed through Saihanba Forest Park and arrived at Ulanbutong, and the ticket was 120. (If you don't want to go to Saihanba, you can bypass it and don't have to spend that money. Saihanba is just a forest, not interesting. The toll is expensive.)

Let me tell you about my experience: Traffic conditions: If you go there during the National Day holiday, there are all kinds of traffic jams on all roads, sometimes for 20 minutes, half an hour, or an hour. There are long convoys that you can't see the end of. No one cares, it's just stuck like that.

Let me talk about accommodation: National Day is the time when the most people go there to see the autumn scenery. Accommodation basically starts from 260, 300 to 500 yuan. The better ones are 1,000 yuan. There are so many people, it is so expensive. If you don’t book in advance, we stayed in a 300 yuan hotel, which is the kind of hotel that usually costs dozens of yuan. That’s what it means, it’s good to have a place to stay! Do you know? There are so many Chinese! You have to stay no matter how much it costs, because you will be super tired in traffic jams, and it is super cold in Ulan Butong at night. Wear cotton clothes. Be sure to book a room in advance. They make money during this period. They are all 300, 500, 1,000. Don’t look at any conditions.

Let me tell you about what happened to us. My boyfriend and I went there alone. Some places originally had three lanes, and cars could go in all kinds of ways. As a result, we were blocked by people from another convoy. They had more people, and a row of off-road vehicles. One of the off-roaders cursed us, saying that we cut in line, and started cursing as soon as we got in. Everyone drove that way. And! He drove the off-road vehicle and deliberately scratched our car, on purpose. Then my boyfriend got out of the car, and then a group of people came from their side (because it was a convoy), and my boyfriend and I were the only ones there. The other party also pushed my boyfriend. My boyfriend didn't fight back because there were too many of them. He could only endure it. I felt very wronged watching! The car was scratched right in front of everyone's eyes. Now I'll reveal the license plate!

In short, if you go to Ulanbutong during the National Day holiday, you will encounter traffic jams, overcharging, and expensive housing prices.

The grasslands of Wulanbutong are also very unique in autumn. It is worth seeing. Of course, the vast snow in winter is also very interesting.

On the bus, the tour guide gave a brief introduction to the Ulanbutong Grassland in Inner Mongolia. Ulanbutong Grassland is located at the southernmost end of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, and faces the Saihanba Forest Farm in Weichang County, Hebei Province across the river. Ulanbutong is part of the Mulan Paddock in the Qing Dynasty (the entire Paddock is about 10,000 square kilometers), and is famous for the battle between the Qing army and Galdan, which was commanded by Emperor Kangxi. Because it is located in the interlaced area of hills and plains, it presents completely different characteristics from other grasslands. Because of the protection of the grassland, grazing is not allowed in it, so the grassland maintains its original and charming scenery. But to really appreciate the grassland scenery, you have to go deep into the grassland. The tourist area provides off-road vehicles, which cost 280 yuan per person at their own expense, and the journey takes about 5 hours. This is obviously a lucrative income from the local exclusive tourism resources.

Stepping onto the grassland, there is soft green grass under your feet. Looking far into the distance, you can see the vast dark green grassland with green grass all over the sky. The sky is like a dome, the blue sky is spotless, the white clouds are leisurely, and the sky is high and the clouds are light. Looking around, the hills are undulating like rolling waves. The breeze is blowing, and the fragrance of flowers is wafting. The golden sunlight shining through the gaps in the clouds shines on the green grassland, like a piece of glittering brocade that is unfolded and flows to the end of the horizon. The blue sky, white clouds, green mountains, and green grass render a world of flowers and outline a series of gorgeous and colorful oil paintings with blue sky and clean ground. Being in the embrace of the blue sky and green grass of the grassland, it seems that you have walked into a cool and broad world. All the hustle and bustle of the world and all the troubles in your heart are naturally swept away in the freshness. Coming here for sightseeing, you can fully enjoy the natural oxygen bar and feel the breadth and majesty of the grassland.

By Qiba Qima Family Travel Photography |

Dew moistened the wilted flowers and plants. There was no wind, the surroundings were unusually quiet, and the air was cool and pleasant.

The wind walked in front of us, swinging its skirts and drawing circles, and the flowers were so beautiful and joyful...

It is a relatively large scenic spot. It was once the royal Mulan Paddock area of the Qing Dynasty. You can drive in and the ticket is 120 yuan per person. There are food, accommodation and activities in the scenic area. Maybe we are looking at the grassland from north to south. The grass here is incomparable to that of the Xilin Gol Grassland. The Wulanbutong Scenic Area is just so-so. Except for the grass sliding, the children are still happy. The whole scenic area is definitely not worth the 120 ticket, and there is no scenery to take pictures. The saddest thing is that the route to go back suggested in the navigation is from the Wulanbutong Scenic Area through the Saihanba Forest Park, and there is only this road. It costs 130 yuan per person to enter the Saihanba Park. Wulanbutong really makes us unable to muster up the courage to spend this money to enter Saihanba. We can only take a detour, but I didn’t expect that the road surface of the detour has not been maintained at all. It is bumpy, and Baidu Maps also adds to the chaos. If you go there, it is recommended to ask the staff of the scenic area more and take fewer detours.

By China-TravelNote users |

The local scenery is really beautiful, the grassland under the sunset is endless and beautiful. But the food is very expensive and unpalatable, so it is recommended to bring more food with you.

By ^ō^ Spoiled bread |

The scenery of Wulanbutong is very beautiful, which seriously exceeded my expectations. I originally wanted to go to Hulunbuir but it was too far away, so I chose this place. As expected, I was not disappointed. It is recommended to charter a car locally. Self-driving people and cars will be charged separately! Most of the toilets are dirty! Public facilities are very poor...

By Schrodinger with a cat |

Even if you are not in a scenic spot, even if you are driving on the road, the scenery outside the car window is just as beautiful and intoxicating.

By Winters |

Ulanbutong is very large, and there are many activities such as horse riding, archery, grass skiing, etc. I was lucky to see the sunrise on the grassland, and the trip was worthwhile.

By Lushan Shenglongba |

Wulanbutong Prairie is located at the southern end of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. It is the Inner Mongolia part of Mulan Paddock. After crossing the boundary river of Saihanba, you will enter the vast sea of grass of Wulanbutong. Wulanbutong, with its endless green grass, is different from Hulunbuir, where cattle and sheep can be seen when the wind blows the grass low, and Nalati, where the alpine meadows are everywhere, the grassland here is more like a plateau savannah. The vast green hills and plains outline the initial impression of Wulanbutong in this midsummer. Just like the song says, love is like blue sky and white clouds, clear sky, and suddenly a storm

By lily |

The Ulanbutong grassland has blue sky, white clouds, green grass and a cool climate. It is a dazzling "grassland pearl" that nourishes the essence of heaven and earth. The sunrise solemnizes the majestic atmosphere of the frontier and is admired by the yearning; the peaks and ridges collect the past of the wind and cloud, the golden weapons and iron horses, and the brocade robes and red tassels. This place is located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, only more than 300 kilometers away from Beijing. It is part of the Mulan Paddock of the Qing Dynasty. It is famous for Emperor Kangxi commanding the Qing army to fight against Galdan. With its charming European grassland scenery, it has become the location shooting base for more than 60 film and television dramas such as "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" and "Kangxi Dynasty" and is known as the "Grassland Movie City". At the summer solstice, thousands of acres of golden lotus flowers are in full bloom. At the foot of the mountain, on the meadow, beside the ditch, by the stream, and between the woods, one piece, one layer, layer, golden, like the dazzling stars on a summer night. You are in the fascinating sea of flowers and the hometown of clouds. You can ride horses everywhere, eat primitive and rough hand-held mutton, and enjoy the beautiful food and scenery. This is a great place for you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, relax, indulge yourself, and have fun. Recommended farmhouse, contact person, Ms. Liu: 13311299688 19931063882 You, your family, and friends from afar, go to the Ulanbutong Prairie to explore and experience it in depth.

The scenery of Ulanbutong is so beautiful that you must go there on a sunny day, otherwise you will regret it.

By Dragon Travels the World |

It's a nice place to visit, but I don't want to go deep into it. But that's right, there's no grass once you go in.

By Tilly |

Now both Saihanba and Ulanbutong are charged. I feel that Saihanba is a forest and Ulanbutong is a grassland. I personally prefer the vast grassland.

By China-TravelNote users |

I really recommend going there by car. You can reach most of the attractions. If the roads are difficult to travel, you can hire a car for a day or half a day. There are many chartered cars in the local area, but the quality is hard to say. If you are lucky, you will meet a good driver, but if you are not lucky, you will just fool people.

By tingting |

As soon as you enter, you will feel your vision is completely opened up. Everywhere you look, there are greenery and various wild flowers and weeds. Any photo you take will be a postcard.

When taking photos on the grassland, floral dresses are the best. Girls who love taking photos must remember to bring colorful skirts, scarves, sunglasses, etc. I forgot to bring sunglasses and regretted it all the way.

You must do a good job of sun protection. Although it is not hot here, it is very sunny.

I don't think there is much to say about the route inside. There are only one or two main roads, just follow them. Buy a map in advance or take a photo of the scenic spot distribution map at the entrance. Just make sure you don't go wrong with the general direction. Please note that the signal inside will be very poor, but the mobile function is OK, so you must bring a mobile card, navigation is really important!

By Worrying about nothing |

The accommodation there is not very good. I bought two tickets to Ulanbutong. One was to some unknown place. People on the roadside stopped me and asked me to pay a toll of 1,000 yuan for two cars. Then they said it would be charged by person, 100 yuan per person. I walked for half an hour and bought another ticket to Ulanbutong, which cost 960 yuan.

By iceandcoke |

It was a spontaneous trip. The unreliable father and son set off without even looking at the guide. But we were really lucky. We caught the only good weather after the rain this week. Without further ado, here are the pictures!

By Release the repressed self |

We didn't go to Turkey, but we saw hot air balloons on the grassland! Because we didn't make a guide before, we missed the hot air balloon time and didn't have time to book a flight later. The sunset in Ulabtong is late, but the sunrise is very early! Woke up at 4 o'clock! It was already bright outside when I opened the curtains.

By Kawa Wong |

If you have already reached Fengningba, you don't need to spend 120 to go to Inner Mongolia for a tour. The scenery there is indeed different from that in Hebei.

By Sunlight |

I work in Tangshan and it's not far from there. Basically I go there two or three times a year. To be honest, except for the 120 yuan entrance fee per person, which is a bit of a rip-off, the natural scenery is amazing. There is nothing in the backward areas, and everything is naturally green. I stay in a different hotel or farmhouse every year. But the hygiene is worrying. Most of the quilts and covers are black. Actually, I can't blame them. The local laundry facilities are not in place. If you go there for tourism, you can bear it. But this year was a surprise. I stayed in a super large farmhouse with a garden of 10 acres and a courtyard house. It feels quite elegant. The most important thing is that they all use disposable non-woven quilt covers, sheets, towels, bath towels, etc. Naturally, it is very clean, and you don't have to worry about whether they are washed or not after each guest. I really like it. The hotel is called Huajianghu Inn. Share the boss's contact information. If you like cleanliness, you can stay here. Although it is 20 or 30 yuan more expensive than other places, the disposable bedding is safe to use. The boss's phone number and WeChat are 18247658703. If you go in July, the scenery will be particularly beautiful. It's a bit early to go now, haha

By Little Rabbit |

The prairie is very beautiful. Although the grass has turned yellow, it still looks magnificent against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds. It is also the filming location for many film and television works. It was my first trip to the prairie. I tried archery and horse riding and watched an equestrian show. It was a very satisfying experience. I was very happy.

By Du Pa Pi |

I really like the prairie. It has a very spacious feeling and is very relaxing.

By Morning Light |

At this moment, I can only see the blue sky, white clouds, and yellow grass. Well, it can only be called yellow grass. The temperature difference between day and night in Inner Mongolia is large, and the spring comes late, so in Inner Mongolia in May, there are still mostly yellow grass, and there are almost no tender shoots. Looking around, it is all a vast and bleak feeling of autumn, including the occasional emergence of wild birch groves and sand willows from the yellow grass, but there is also a sense of boundless vastness and atmosphere, and there are smooth hills with rolling curves and beautiful protrusions. Although there is no green grass to set off, that kind of majestic atmosphere is the beauty I want! I want to emphasize that when you come to this kind of grassland in the plateau area, it is best to prepare glasses and masks in advance, because the sand here is fine and rich. When a gust of wind blows at any time, sand will fly all over the sky and you will be unable to move with your eyes closed.

It's so beautiful, the natural scenery is absolutely worth a visit. From Shenyang, get off the highway at Chifeng West Interchange, and then there is the Jingpeng Line. Follow the signs to Wulanbutong. The whole journey takes 6.5 hours. If you drive by yourself, you can stop and go to see more beautiful scenery. The local accommodation fee is not expensive, so it is best to book it in advance. The military horse farm is the core of the scenic area, but Xiaohongshan Village is also a good choice. It is estimated that it will take 3 days to walk to all the scenic spots in Wulanbutong Scenic Area. The ticket is 120 yuan, valid for three days, and you can enter and exit the scenic area at will. The distance between the various scenic spots is too far, so you must drive, and it is best to drive an off-road vehicle. The meal is not expensive, but there are few vegetables. It is best to bring some by yourself. The accommodation conditions are not bad, the price is 150-200 yuan, and you have to pay extra on weekends. Bring more long-sleeved clothes. In the midsummer of July and August, the temperature in the morning is in the single digits, so it is a bit cold. The European Style Garden is the most beautiful and makes people linger. It can be arranged to play in one day with the three attractions of Jiangjun Pao and Wucai Mountain. There is also the Aobao attraction on the way. It is reasonable to arrange the two attractions of Princess Lake and Panlong Gorge together. As for the Donggou attraction, it takes about half a day. There are many other attractions and natural landscapes. It feels that there are scenery everywhere in Ulanbutong, and there are scenery everywhere. I will definitely go again if I have time. If I go again, I will play in Saihanba for two days and return to Shenyang from Chengde, because the scenery of Saihanba is also very beautiful. Last time I went there, I didn’t study the route well, so I played for one day and saw the flowers in a hurry. It’s a pity. The ticket for Saihanba National Park is 150 yuan, which is also valid for three days. It is recommended that friends who want to go must do their homework well, arrange the daily journey, and avoid unnecessary journeys. I wish you all a happy trip!

Ulanbutong is located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is an area where hills and plains intersect, with an organic combination of forests and grasslands. It has both the elegant and beautiful femininity of the south and the rugged and powerful masculinity of the north, combining the beauty of both the south and the north.

Friends who come to the grassland on May Day, please be sure to refrain from fireworks and do not use open flames on the grassland. Grassland fire prevention is a heavy responsibility!!!

Wulanbutong in winter makes me feel like I am in the far north

The Ulanbutong snowfield is where your dreams take flight!

In winter, Ulan Butong becomes a paradise for off-road enthusiasts, covered in silver, like a fairy tale world of ice and snow.

Hongshan Military Horse Farm belongs to Wulanbutong Township, Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. It is located at the junction of Hebei and Inner Mongolia, and is located to the north of the so-called Bashang Mulan Paddock Scenic Area. Here, grasslands, deserts, hills, lakes, forests, cattle, sheep and horses are gathered together to form a beautiful picture. This is by no means a man-made miniature landscape, but a stroke of genius from nature. The transportation here is not very convenient. Generally, you need to charter a car to play, and the charter fee is about 1,000 yuan a day.

I went there at the end of the National Day holiday, and it was very cold in the grassland. You must choose a farmhouse with heating or electric blankets. There are many scenic spots in the grassland, such as Princess Lake and General Paozi. In fact, there is no need to go close, there are many people. When you drive into the grassland, you will see vast scenery everywhere. The birch forest is worth visiting, and the whole way is golden.

You must come. Don't think that the grassland covered with snow is not worth seeing. It should be called another proper noun - snowfield.

It is so beautiful here in June when wolfsbane flowers bloom all over the grassland.

The grassland is really great, with blue sky and white clouds. Driving on the grassland is really a pleasure.

It was a pity that we didn’t get to the scenic spot. The car was out of brake fluid at the time. So we took some photos on the road and then returned to Chifeng.

D4 Upstream of the Dam from Beijing to Inner Mongolia

Last night I had mutton hotpot at Donglaishun in Beijing, and tonight I went to Duolun County in Inner Mongolia for mutton hotpot. Damn, I must eat mutton hotpot to the end this time, I won’t miss it for a year after I go back! Haha, so I don’t have to go to Jida Donglaishun every time, I’m so greedy!!! [呲牙][呲牙][呲牙]

The most beautiful place is in autumn and winter or when the grassland is covered with snow.

It's better to go to Saihanba, there's nothing to do there because of visual fatigue

Wulanbutong Tourism Development Zone is located in the southwest of Keshiketeng Banner, 120 kilometers away from Jingpeng Town, the seat of the Banner People's Government, and 432 kilometers away from Beijing. Wulanbutong Peak is ochre red, and when viewed from south to north, it looks like an inverted urn.

Overall it's good and perfect for travel. I would like to remind you that it's best to go before October 1st when the scenery is more beautiful and you can have a picnic.

Dear friends, don't go. The scenery is bad! The people are evil. They ask for money in different ways. They will make a hole to trick you into driving in. When there are more cars, a group of people will come. Each car will be fined 2,000. They will beat you equally regardless of gender. Because we are a family of three, we didn't quarrel or make a fuss. We paid the money. In short, don't come to Wulanbutong. The ticket is 120. There is nothing. My dog didn't get out of the car. You can imagine. A group of bullies. No one comes to control. We paid the fine and they kept shouting that we should not be reasonable. The target was found again on the grassland of number number number.

If you want to see the most beautiful scenery, you must watch the sunrise and then walk on the lawn after sunrise.

It was still under construction when I went there, but it was quite clean and beautiful, the air was good, and the people were nice.

The grasslands of Wulanbutong are so beautiful. We went there in late September and took a local off-road vehicle to go deep into the grasslands. In late autumn, the colors on the grasslands are very rich. Green, yellow, and red grass and leaves, plus the blue sky without white clouds, are so beautiful! It is recommended to stop at each parking spot to experience it, the scenery in each place is different! There are some semi-domesticated horses on the grasslands, so it is recommended that you ride them with caution. The end of the grassland is the desert. Although you can play sand sliding, it is still shocking. I hope everyone will really pay attention to protecting the environment.

We went there in mid-September, and the grass had almost turned yellow. The birch forest was also half green and half yellow, very beautiful, especially where there was water. Finally, we climbed a very high wild mountain, where the grass grew above the knees. From the top of the mountain, the colorful birch forest was very beautiful.

Except that most of the roads in the scenic area are gravel roads, Ulanbutong in autumn is colorful enough for you to appreciate slowly.

Wulanbutong Scenic Area is located at the northern foot of Saihanba, with rolling mountains in the east and middle, and many sand dunes in the northwest. The highest altitude is 1,869 meters, the lowest altitude is 1,412 meters, and the average altitude is 1,640 meters. Wulanbutong Peak is located on the north side of the scenic area. It stands alone at an altitude of 1,595 meters and is composed of ochre basalt. The terrain around the mountain is open.

After I retired this year, I went to Ulanbutong with my children. It is so close to Beijing and there is no pollution. It is such a pristine place. I used to be a Chinese medicine practitioner. After I arrived there, I found that there are indeed many Chinese herbal medicines on the grassland. This proves a local saying: The cattle and sheep here are raised on Chinese herbal medicines, how can the meat not be delicious! The roasted whole lamb for dinner really feels different from the city. The local ticket price of 120 is really a rip-off. The infrastructure is not very good. It is normal for many hotels to have water and power outages. We stayed at Jianghu Inn. The owner is probably rich enough to dig his own well and buy his own transformer and generator. It is relatively safe to live here. After arriving at the local area, I found several hotels and compared them before choosing Jianghu. The price is a bit high, but the equipment is awesome, beautiful and generous, and the flowers and plants in the yard are particularly beautiful. The owner’s WeChat is 18565826678. They have a WeChat public account that introduces a lot of local things called "Ulanbutong Travel Circle". I recommend it to everyone.

As for the places to play, Princess Lake is just average, Jiangjun Paozi is nice, and the sunrise at the Film and Television Base and Beigou are beautiful and worth seeing. I won’t say much, here are the photos.

I have been working in Beijing and I go to Wulanbutong every year in different seasons. The scenery is really amazing. It is not easy to find such a pure land in the north. There is no industry here, no pollution, and it is pure nature. Before coming here, I usually make a strategy to avoid the 130 yuan toll of Saihanba. This time I went to a place called Huajianghu Inn. The owner made a public account with a road book to teach people how to avoid Saihanba. It is very good. I recommend it to everyone. The name is "Wulanbutong Travel Circle".

The boss's infrastructure is beyond words, it should be the most luxurious in the area. Huajianghu should be a chain hotel. I heard from my friends in the south that there are several in Shenzhen.

This place is quite high-end, and it feels very comfortable to live in. I won't say anything more, just show the pictures. Their customer service WeChat is 18565826678. Good things to share with everyone, this kind of hotel is called a hotel. It is really rare in the local area.

We went from Qinhuangdao to Ulanbutong. We were afraid of the high consumption in the tourist areas and it was getting dark, so we stayed in Longhua for one night and went to Ulanbutong the next day. We had to pass through Saihanba to go to Ulanbutong from south to north, so we needed to buy two tickets. We thought it was boring, so we detoured around Saihanba and walked about 80 more kilometers. The route was to go out of Weichang - Yudaokou - turn right at the T-intersection in Dahekou Township - keep going and there will be a fork in the road with Saihanba on the right and Ulanbutong on the left. Go 200 meters to the left and you will find the Ulanbutong ticket office. The scenery is nice.

Overall it's good, but the grassland makes people easily aesthetically fatigued

Jiangjun Paozi is the ancient battlefield of Wulan Butong. I think it is also the most beautiful place on the grassland of Wulan Butong Scenic Area. It is the place where Emperor Kangxi personally led an expedition and defeated the rebels of Galdan in Moxi. You must ride a horse when you come to the grassland. It is recommended that you do not ride a horse in Saihanba, as there is no feeling of galloping on the horse. There are places to ride horses everywhere in Mulan Paddock. I strongly recommend riding horses around Jiangjun Paozi. The venue is large enough and the scenery is good enough. At first, I chose to go back and forth to Jiangjun Paozi for 100 yuan. Later, I listened to the recommendation of the master who led the horse to continue to Wild Duck Lake and the ruins of the ancient battlefield. Each person added 150 yuan. Master Jia is also very good. He took us to many deep scenic spots. There are fewer people and the scenery is very beautiful. While teaching us to ride horses, Master Jia introduced to us which places in Wulan Butong are more fun. Master Jia's mobile phone: 13754169664
