Xilamuren Grassland is totally different from the grassland I remember where "cows and sheep can be seen when the wind blows the grass low". After I came back and checked the information, I found out that Xilamuren Grassland is a desert grassland. The grass is only slightly deeper than the instep when it is the deepest every year. Although I can't see the scenery of "cows and sheep can be seen when the wind blows the grass low", I can experience the sky like a dome, covering the whole field.

The grassland at the end of October is no longer green, and there are no "cows and sheep can be seen when the wind blows the grass low", but there is another kind of autumn charm. Riding a horse on a barren grassland, it feels like I belong to this free grassland, the wind blows across my cheeks, and I feel a feeling I have never experienced before. There are not only cows and sheep on the grassland, but also dogs. When I went to take pictures, I was almost chased by a dog, but fortunately I ran fast.

This is the worst scenic spot I have ever encountered in China. The so-called river is just a small ditch, and the so-called herdsman's house is just a place selling cheese and candy.

If you follow China-TravelNote's one-day tour and don't join the 399-yuan horse-riding banquet, your group members won't be able to eat even a bite of mutton; in addition, if you don't join the 400-yuan-per-person horseback riding, you won't be able to visit any attractions in the morning. Saying it's 200 yuan per person is just a trick.

Before the return trip, before arranging the return vehicle for you, the tour guide will also urge you to give them a five-star rating. What a trick! It's useless to complain to China-TravelNote, so be careful.

It's so beautiful! This trip to the grassland is definitely worth it!

Xilamuren Grassland is a typical plateau grassland and is now a famous grassland tourist spot in Inner Mongolia.

Unparalleled scenery, definitely worth a visit and stay for a week

By Xiaoqiao LU |

If you want to see grasslands with more grass, then choose Hulunbuir or Chifeng. Xila is located in the west, the area is dry and the damage is serious, so it is not that beautiful.

By Ying Hua International Travel |

Although the grass is not very good, maybe we came too early. The grassland in July and August may be the most beautiful. It is recommended that friends who want to see the grassland should come in July and August.

Ride horses and enjoy the blue sky and white clouds during the day, and watch the stars at night by having a bonfire party.

By rusy |

I didn't want to join a tour group, so I found a car to go there by myself. The driver had something to do there and stayed there for one night. Otherwise, it would be difficult to find a car to go there and come back, so it's more convenient to drive by yourself. I found a place to stay and booked a ticket for the Legend of the South of the Desert performance at Hongger Aobao, which cost 180 yuan, but the ticket price was 280 yuan. The grass at a fork in the road near Hongger Aobao is much better than the grass beside the main road, and there are many yurts to choose from.

By Mingcao |

I didn't go to see the show. I spent this time sitting and strolling on the grassland, enjoying the sunshine. It was great.

After arriving at the grassland, we started some activities. These activities, such as horse riding and watching performances, are not included in the tour fee and are charged. If you don't participate in any activities, you can only walk around the grassland by yourself, but generally, since you go there, everyone will choose some projects more or less. We chose to go to three scenic spots, namely the grassland, the herdsman's home and the Aobao. In fact, the actual scenery is not as good as expected. The Aobao is very small. The so-called herdsman's home can provide you with some snacks such as milk slices and taste a cup of local milk tea. The milk tea in Inner Mongolia tastes salty, not the sweet milk tea we usually drink. Then other horse milk, milk and the like are also provided, but these need to be paid, 10rmb/bottle, and the taste is similar to yogurt. The horse riding took a total of one and a half hours. The horse team walked together, and the speed was relatively slow. Occasionally, the horse would run a little faster, which would make people a little uncomfortable. When the horse runs fast, it is best to step on the stirrup with your feet and stretch your legs so that your butt will not be shaken! After watching the Legend of Mo Nan performance, this performance is still quite 6 and worth seeing. The performers are very good at horsemanship. The performance is outdoors, with mountains and stones. Through the interpretation of the plot, it shows the deep feelings between the people of Inner Mongolia and horses and the importance of horses to the people of Inner Mongolia. There is also a bonfire party, which is about 9:30 in the evening. There will be singing performances on the stage, and auctions of calligraphy and paintings. The tourists held hands and ran around the bonfire together, which was quite an atmosphere! ~ There is a barbecue stall next to the bonfire party, the price is very expensive, and the taste is mainly very average! There is no difference from the barbecue stalls, so it is not recommended to buy barbecue here. (But if you order the roasted whole lamb, it will be delicious)

By Ringo-san |

Although everyone said it was average after reading the reviews, I think it's good! Because I haven't been to Hulunbuir Prairie hahaha. No comparison

Anyway, I enjoyed riding.

This morning, I went to the famous "Gerile Amma" restaurant in Hohhot with my old friend to taste the local breakfast: milk tea, fruit, camel meat pie, and scallion buns. We set off for Xilamuren Grassland at 9:30. The scenery along the way was very beautiful. The sunflowers, rapeseed flowers, and oats covered the sides of the road, which made me yearn for the grassland. I wanted to see the vast grassland immediately. After a 2-hour drive, I finally arrived at Xilamuren Grassland. The first feeling: commercialization is too serious. Don't trust the "touts" on the roadside. I want to ride a horse or an off-road motorcycle into the grassland. Because I drive by myself, I enter the grassland and drive along the road to enjoy the scenery of nature first. The altitude of Xilamuren Grassland is 1,600 meters, which is 5 degrees lower than Hohhot, so the temperature here is very cool. There is no ticket. The items that need to be paid are: yurt accommodation, horse riding, off-road motorcycles, and meals. The price is slightly higher, which is decided by yourself. In short: if you want to come here and experience Mongolian customs, it is recommended to go to Hohhot first and try: Shaomai and milk tea; then go to Dazhao Temple and the General's Mansion to learn about Mongolian culture. Come to the grassland to experience Mongolian life, try the most noble Mongolian hospitality, and taste roasted lamb.

By Liu Lang |

Be careful to protect yourself from the sun. I wore a short-sleeved shirt and got sunburned. There wasn't a lot of grass. The price for horseback riding was 300 yuan, and the price for the show and Aobao Mountain was 200 yuan.

By Tonkotsu Ramen |

The service is linked to the payment... But I still recommend renting a car or signing up for a higher-priced local tour group. For example, I signed up for a 399 tour group, which included two horseback rides, free food and drinks at the herdsmen's house (haha, not much), lunch with lamb legs, and a happy ranch in the afternoon. The tour guides are more dedicated, so it's easier to play by yourself without planning. Overall, if you are playing near Hohhot, you can go here, but if you want to see more vast grasslands, you may still have to take the route of Hailar or Hulunbuir. In addition, it is recommended to come to the grassland from July to September, when the grass is greener. It often rains in May and June, and the grass has not grown yet.

The Xilamuren Desert has been seriously degraded and has changed beyond recognition. The sparse grass stubbornly occupies its own territory and is fighting a life-and-death struggle with the wind and sand. It sticks out its head pitifully and greets me with melancholy eyes. Looking at such a desolate grassland and listening to the grass's ambitious words, a sense of sadness comes over me. Facing its gentle words and deep affection, although the sparse grass of Xilamuren disappoints me, the rising sun and the afterglow of the setting sun make up for the shortcomings of the grassland. In the evening, the setting sun passes through the dark hillside, leaving a sky full of colorful clouds, which makes me imagine. The rising sun in the early morning rises slowly from the horizon, and the yurt is covered with a layer of gold, full of mystery. I bathe in the warm sunshine and feel particularly happy.

By Eight |

I organized a group of classmates to go play. There was not much rain this year, and the grass was not green, but the air was fresh. I felt very calm looking at the vast grassland. I went to Hongger Aobao to watch the live performance, which was quite shocking. I also went to Damao Banner to experience the Zhama Banquet, which was particularly Mongolian. I highly recommend these two! I drank rich and fragrant milk tea and rode a black horse. The deepest feeling was that my alcohol tolerance suddenly increased after I came here. Mutton with skin boiled hand-pulled meat! Perfect! I plan to come here often in the future.

By Ha ha |

The Xilamuren Desert is severely desertified and has changed beyond all recognition.

The sparse grass stubbornly occupies its own territory.

Fighting a life-and-death battle with the wind and sand,

I saw it sticking out its head pitifully.

Greeting me with melancholy eyes,

Then he whispered in my ear: Don't lose heart, buddy!

I will definitely defeat the wind and sand, and give mankind a spectacular sight of cattle and sheep visible when the wind blows the grass low.

Looking at such a desolate grassland, listening attentively to the grass's ambitious words,

A sense of sadness came over me. Facing its kind words and deep affection,

I urge every tourist to be gentle with your feet and give the grass an environment where it can grow freely. Do not disturb it easily.

Let it reverse its past decadence and restore its former prosperity.

Xilamuren Grassland is the grassland closest to Hohhot. You can choose to drive there or sign up for a two-day tour group in the local area. Public transportation is not very developed for the time being. Horseback riding on the Inner Mongolia grassland is very different from riding in horse farms, parks, etc. The biggest difference is that the trainer does not lead the horse to take you for a walk, which is too boring. You can master the horse in your hand when riding here. The horses in Inner Mongolia are basically Inner Mongolia dwarf horses. They are not big in size, but they are not weak in strength. You still need to concentrate on holding the horse rope during riding, otherwise there is still a risk of being thrown off. The price of horseback riding is also fair. More than 300 yuan can be used to ride a horse for more than an hour, and the return journey will also be accompanied by a small run. It is really riding a horse. The vast grassland always gives people a very relaxed feeling. You can also taste the milk tea made by farmers in the depths of the grassland. It is very different from the milk tea we usually drink, and the milk flavor is very strong. Back to the camp, it is time for dinner, and a bonfire party is arranged afterwards. But evening is really the most beautiful time on the grassland. As the sun sets, the sheep begin to return home. There is a feeling that everything has returned to silence. Under the setting sun, the grassland, which had turned green, instead appears a sunset-like yellow.

Xilamuren Grassland is located in Darhanmaomingan United Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Xilamuren means "Yellow River" in Mongolian. Xilamuren Grassland is commonly known as "Zhaohe" because there is a Qing Dynasty Lama Zhao Temple "Puhui Temple" on the bank of Xilamuren River.

The temple was originally the summer palace of the Sixth Living Buddha of Xilituzhao in Hohhot, and was built in the 34th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1769). The temple has two-story halls and caves, with carved beams and painted buildings, which are quite spectacular. Behind the Puhui Temple is the Xilamuren River, and you can cross the bridge over the river to reach the Albinbao Mountain to enjoy the grassland scenery. The endless scenery is intoxicating.

By The sky is high and the clouds are light. The sky is blue. |

In Xilamuren Grassland, tourists can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of the grassland and appreciate the heroic spirit of the grassland nomads, but also participate in the grand "Aobao Sacrifice" ceremony, enjoy the typical flavors of the grassland people, and experience the unique and rich Mongolian ethnic culture.

By King of Amy |

A two-day tour of Xilamuren Grassland and Kubuqi Desert costs only 280 yuan for adults, including three mornings and one night in a yurt, which is cheap enough. But as the tour guide said, the self-funded projects after entering the grassland and desert are really the real deal. The grassland is a horseback ride, with a starting price of 380 for two attractions, and 100 more for each additional attraction. We rode a 480 one, and the whole time on the horse was less than an hour. There was no chance to run, and the scenery was very ordinary, just to satisfy our desire to ride a horse. The worst thing is that tourists are not allowed to take photos by themselves along the way, in order to get tourists to buy their photos for 20 yuan each.

The accommodation conditions in the yurt are so-so, but the food is OK. You can order a roasted whole lamb at your own expense. There are equestrian and wrestling performances during the day, and a bonfire party at night, so the children can have a lot of fun.

By Ping Er |

I went there in September 2016. The grass had turned yellow when I went there, but it was still beautiful.

By Drizzle Dad |

Those who have not seen the grassland can still take a look. But don't have too high expectations. It is recommended to drive there by yourself, because the scenery along the way is infinitely beautiful, and the surrounding area is vast and sparsely populated, so it is really inconvenient without a car.

By Lexu Le |

Came to the Mongolian prairie, very beautiful, very open

By CantonVJ |

It was a pity that the grass on the Xilamuren Grassland had already started to turn yellow when we went there, but horseback riding is indeed cheaper than on other grasslands. The black tour guides were too annoying to solicit customers, and the tourism environment still needs to be improved.

By Maomao's Little Life |

Maybe it was because we went there in a bad season. The grass was very low, close to the ground. It didn't look green from a distance, and it was even sadder when you looked up close. There was garbage thrown by tourists everywhere. This is a real picture of the grassland. It has a sense of vastness, but the ecological maintenance is really poor!

By Dalu World |

Xilamuren Grassland belongs to the third type of grassland - "desert grassland". You can't see cattle and sheep in the grass when the wind blows!

By Little Doctor |

While riding a horse, I suddenly realized that the sky was so close to me. It was a pity that the grass had not grown when I went there, so I couldn't see the cattle and sheep when the wind blew the grass low.

By Freedom |

Quite disappointed, especially with a group tour. If you have the conditions, I suggest you drive yourself and stop and see the scenery. We stayed in Dongjiao Tourism Resort with a group, and lived in a yurt (they said that upgrading to a luxury yurt is just a yurt with a bed). The group meal was simple and unpalatable! They didn't even give us soup! The service attitude was particularly bad! There was no other place to eat around. Horse riding was 400 RMB, which was unreasonable! It was said that riding two scenic spots was just two small Aobaos in half an hour. I didn't drink the herdsman's milk tea, but I saw the special things or attractions, which were just a large grassland with a few cows and horses. The purpose of joining a group is to be fooled by the tour guide and spend money. If you want to join a group, I also recommend the all-inclusive project! If you come to this place in the picture, I suggest you don't spend money, just give up and see the grassland.

I just went to Xilamuren Grassland yesterday. My friend and I drove from Baotou. The scenery along the way was great. The weather was very good when we arrived at the grassland. I randomly found a resort. The yurt conditions were not good, the accommodation price was cheap, and the food was expensive. However, I read the online reviews before going there, so I was mentally prepared. I watched the performance, which was okay, counted the stars, and experienced the full moon night of the grassland. It was a bit cold. I watched the sunset and sunrise, which was great. I left for Hohhot early the next morning. In short, I felt it was okay. The scenery was very good, but there was not much grass. The service was not good and needs to be improved. Next time I go to Hulunbuir Grassland, I will stay a few more days. I will choose the good photos and post them. The season and weather will be very different!

By Gao Xiaohuo |

The grassland can only be seen in July and August every year, but this grassland has been severely damaged. Moreover, during the peak season, the starting price for a horseback ride to two scenic spots is 400 yuan, and each additional scenic spot is 100 yuan. When local friends found out about this, they thought it was a rip-off.

The night on the grassland is very beautiful and quiet, with stars all around.

Xilamuren + Xiangshawan two-day tour (228 RMB)

Inner Mongolia China Youth International Travel Agency (Pit)

We were supposed to be picked up at the door by a car, but we received a call at 10:30 pm the night before and were told to take a taxi. We had to argue with the tour guide before he reimbursed us for the fare. We gathered at 7:30 on the first day. We were so sleepy. The tour guide kept explaining things, and we finally realized it was all a trick. However, we continued because of our goodwill.

The first pit: A dozen people recommend the roasted sheep strategy of more than 2,000. First, grasp the core, and then tell you that everyone else agrees. If you disagree, you will increase the burden on others or spoil everyone's fun. The next step is that you agree and start lobbying the next little sheep.

The second pit: Xilamuren horseback riding, the price ranges from 380-880 (it is normal for a horseman to pull five or six horses, and the service quality can be imagined), and the riding time ranges from 20-60 minutes. The scenic spots are not very far away, especially the Xilamuren River, but from the beginning of the car, the tour guide has begun to hypnotize the far distance. The reason why it is a pit must come from the comparison. The price of grassland horseback riding cannot be changed, but Taobao has an all-inclusive package, you know! The remaining few attractions are just walking around in the evening, blowing the wind, which is more comfortable. The group meal is very simple, and the other content is still pretty good!

Strategy 1: 😊 Xilamuren Grassland is an experience-oriented one. If you don’t want to be ripped off and waste time without initiative, choose a package with horseback riding and roasted lamb. The price below 400 is more cost-effective than the non-all-inclusive package of more than 200! !

Strategy 2😊Walk around the grassland to watch the sunset in the evening, and watch the stars at night (you may not be able to see them if there is heavy fog). In summer, the sunrise is around 5 o'clock, so you can see it ten minutes earlier in the direction of the railings hung with blue Hada!

By Mushroom Love God Q |

This is not the prairie in my mind. It is just a completely commercialized tourist attraction.

Let's talk about horse riding first. The tour guide said that one horse officer would look at 6 horses, but it turned out to be at least 9 horses, most of whom had no experience in horse riding. They gave them a helmet, played a video, and let them go riding. Some horses in the herd had nets on their mouths, while others did not. Horses also fight, because they were not from the same family. One of the horses was bitten on the foot by a horse, and immediately a big swelling appeared, because the horses from the two families were fighting and injured by mistake. One of them fell off the horse and broke his bones. We chose a set meal of 3 points for 400 yuan. A small piece of green vegetation on the way is a point called a nature reserve, a herdsman's home visit, which is actually a shopping point, and the return trip ended with a circle around an Aobao.

After that, it was lunch. A roasted whole lamb cost 2998. It was just the lamb. You had to order other dishes. The taste was very perfunctory. They also taught you to sing some songs. They sang well.

After dinner, they started horse racing and wrestling, which was also extremely perfunctory.

The tour guide said that the high cost is because the herders no longer herd and make a living from it, and the peak tourist season is only a few months a year, which is understandable. But safety should be taken seriously and informed.

The 5-day tour from Shanghai to Inner Mongolia includes no itinerary on the first and fifth days, just flying. The group fee is 6,000, which does not include self-funded activities such as horse riding and whole lamb banquet. The price is quite expensive.

The picture shows the Xilamuren grassland in late June.

By Old horse 😋 |

It's a place with very ethnic characteristics, where you can see them wrestling and horse racing.

There is a horse riding project there, which is charged. The standard price seems to be around 400 yuan, but I don’t remember the exact amount.

I'm still a little nervous when riding a horse, but you can give it a try.

By Shijing Strange Shu |

The grassland closest to Hohhot only started to grow a little in mid-June, but the scenery was already very beautiful. I really experienced the wind blowing the grass and seeing cattle and sheep. It was sunny in the morning, but the weather changed suddenly in the afternoon. I experienced two different scenery in one day, and my mood was broadened when I looked at the vast grassland. It is worth a trip to cross the Yinshan Mountains and experience the life of herdsmen. The price of the tour items is a little expensive, because I have not been to other grasslands, so it is difficult to compare. But we brought children and the elderly, so we did not participate, but this way we had a lot more free time and could also appreciate the scenery near the station.

By Happy old man |

The prairie under the Yinshan Mountains is vast and boundless. We went there too early and it was raining, so we didn’t see anything, but we felt the enthusiasm of the herdsmen.

By The Begonia Remains |

In August 2011, I went to Xilamuren Grassland in Inner Mongolia. I rode Mongolian horses, ate roasted lamb legs, stayed in Mongolian yurts, watched bonfire parties at night, and watched the sunrise and sunset on the grassland. I personally came to the foot of Yinshan Mountain and experienced the feeling of "the sky is like a dome, covering the four fields". The unique grassland style remains in my memory.

By Chengcheng1219 |

It was really fun to ride a horse. I rode by myself without anyone holding my back. I was really sore after riding for two hours. But it was worth it! Very worth it!

By Devil girl |

I can only say that I went there at a bad time so the grass hadn't grown yet. But breathing the air of the grassland, the mood is something that can't be achieved in the city. Riding a horse is also very enjoyable

By Feather Point |

Nice prairie, but the grass was not yet tall when I came, especially suitable for riding horses and driving off-road vehicles

By Haihe River |

It was my first time to visit the grassland. The feeling of openness and loftiness freed my soul. The grassland has strong characteristics. I rode horses, camels, drank milk tea in a yurt, and rode a desert motorcycle. I had a lot of fun.

By Big Rivers and Big Seas |

The Xilamuren Grassland should be a popular grassland in Inner Mongolia, because most people who come to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia to see the grassland will be taken to this grassland by travel agencies. The result of too many tourists is that commercial damage is extremely serious. It is called a grassland, but in fact it is just a small area. There is no grass on the grassland, and it is full of yellow sand. It has become more of an entertainment project such as sand sliding and off-road motorcycles. It is quite boring. Eating a roasted whole lamb is nearly 3,000 yuan, and the taste is not good.

I suggest that if you are going to Inner Mongolia to see the grasslands, don't come here. There is no artistic conception at all. In addition, don't go with a travel agency. That is not tourism at all.

By Floating Years |

Xilamuren, grass and sand. The grassland is nice, the grass is not very dense and not very high, but this is my ideal grassland. There are cows, sheep and horses. Slow down and relax here.

By |

This grassland is heavily commercialized. It's not even as green as the residential areas. It's common to cheat and rip people off. It's like a nightmare. None of our companions in the desert yesterday went, so the driver and tour guide took us there. They basically didn't give us any introduction on the way, and then asked us to pay for horseback riding, which was an expensive package. The carriage seemed to be 480. They threatened us when we didn't buy it. They didn't even greet us for lunch or to watch the horse racing and wrestling match. We wanted to walk into the grassland by ourselves, but they stopped us, saying that they were leaving and asked us to take the luggage off the car. Finally, they asked us to join another group's car. Their language and attitude were so bad that they even scolded the elderly. Such tour groups are by no means isolated cases. Although I reflected on it afterwards, it still affected my impression of this city. They are really poor!

Xilamuren Grassland is located in Darhanmaomingan Union Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The endless scenery is intoxicating.

The vast grassland, although not green, is dazzling with its golden color. It is the second largest grassland in Inner Mongolia.

It was my first time to visit the prairie. I loved the vastness of the place. Some people say the prairie here is terrible, but where we stayed was deep into the prairie, and it was still pretty good. I didn't regret this trip.

Xilamuren Grassland, maybe because it is September, the grass is all yellow and not very tall, with a few particularly large grasses. I heard that if you want to experience "seeing cattle and sheep in the wind blowing through the grassland", you should go in July, when the grass is green and tall.

You are not allowed to bring a cell phone or camera when riding a horse, unless you have a very small backpack or a zipper bag.

There, go-karting and horse riding are charged separately. If you go with a group, you can only choose one and it is impossible to exchange with others.

The grass in the Xilamuren grassland was a little yellow when I went there in September. The grass was not very lush, but sparse. It didn't look like it was endless. But the sunrise on the grassland was still very good. The moment the sun rose was simply beautiful.

The wind blows through the grass and you can see cattle and sheep. This is what I mean. But horseback riding is very expensive. The cheapest one costs 280, and the most expensive one costs 880. But it's still fun.

The best prairie for horseback riding, with a changeable climate.

Xilamuren Grassland belongs to Baotou City, but it is the grassland closest to Hohhot.

After getting off the bus, local staff will introduce the horse riding fees. Since we don’t want to ride horses and want to wander around the grassland by ourselves, we chose to travel alone.

PS: The horse riding fee ranges from 380 to 680. It turns out that you can also walk to the horse riding area, haha.

The unforgettable sunrise and sunset of Xilamuren can be waited for.

Grass of Xilamuren, sand of Xilamuren, wake up, wake up, and activate my skills.

I don’t know if it’s because I lived in the countryside when I was a child, but I really love the blue sky and white clouds! When I think back to the sky when I was a child, it was the same! The difference is that here there is endless grassland, while we have endless fields🤓🤓🤓Every household here calculates the land in thousands of acres, while we calculate the land in acres😂😂😂…

As soon as the summer vacation arrived, my son and I booked a train ticket (soft sleeper, 30 hours journey, the scenery along the way is also great 😍😍) to Hohhot, and the 8-day trip began. In fact, it was only 5 days 😂😂, because we stayed on the train for 2 days, and the day we left was wasted at the airport 😔…

Because my baby and I are both only 8 years old, the whole itinerary is not very rushed... wake up naturally every day and spend time freely. The museum is a must-go in Hohhot. It is very large with 4 floors. I personally think it is worth a visit. It is recommended to ask the tour guide to explain it, which is more meaningful than wandering around by yourself! There are also many things to eat in Hohhot. If you go there, you must eat local specialties. You can see the pictures I posted 🤓🤓 The yogurt is a little sourer than here (Hefei, Anhui). I personally think it is still very good! Of course, I have to talk about the grassland that everyone cares about most. I went to Xilamuren Grassland twice in the past 5 days from Hohhot. Don't ask me why, I just love it! After checking in at the hotel, I contacted a travel agency and reported a two-day local tour. I went to the grassland with a group. To be honest, the group meal was simply uneatable and unpalatable! My son and I rode 5 scenic spots, plus the so-called protective gear and hat, and the total price was 900. It was a pit (it is said to be cheap)! 😱😱 Stayed in a yurt at night, which was very average! The bonfire party was just like that. After the party was over, I looked up and saw the starry sky. It was really beautiful (I didn’t have professional photography equipment, so I could only watch)! Love it😍😍😍

I met a sister in the travel agency. She took her daughter to play. Wow, we hit it off and decided to go to the grassland again! The four of us came to this place again. Because we didn’t join a group, we found a local herdsman’s house. We rode horses for 200 yuan at 5 scenic spots (no protective gear fee🤓🤓), and the grass ATV for 200 yuan at 5 scenic spots😱😱. It’s so cheap! The same goes for food and accommodation. The authentic Mongolian food is perfect! The accommodation conditions are slightly poor and I can’t take a shower, but the boss is very enthusiastic and brought a bottle of boiled water~ As you can imagine, the total cost this time is much less,😄😄

A few days after returning to Hefei, I made an appointment with a few friends to set off again. Don't miss the sunrise and sunset! The sunrise is around 4:40 in the morning and the sunset is around 8:00 in the evening. Hehe... It's so cool! Warm reminder, be sure to bring a thick coat, otherwise you will be frozen in the rain... Haha, look at the pictures... If you need consultation on free travel, you can privately WeChat me, I am willing to share travel notes with you! 😊

The grassland is pretty good, with cattle and sheep all over the mountain!!!

The sparse grassland is only an hour's drive from Hohhot, not too far. There were people soliciting customers near the scenic spot, but I ignored them and continued to move forward. After reaching the iconic sign, I got off the car and took a walk. Someone came to chat with me, saying that I wanted to stay in their yurt, and the price was reasonable, 80 yuan. Once I entered the residence, there were yurts in twos and threes, but there were quite a few people riding horses. After telling the boss about dinner, I went for a ride to a scenic spot for 50 yuan. The horse didn't run, and it was pleasant to slowly wander on the road. After dinner, I drove around by myself, mainly because I was bored. I heard from the boss that there would be singing and dancing performances in the evening, and it was a little distance from the residence. Suddenly, music sounded outside. I went out to see that it was a small activity organized by the tourists themselves. They had a lot of fun, and my son also joined their circle activities. Occasionally, you can hear the sound of firecrackers in the middle of the night. The only flaw is that the dinner is too that, I won't say it, it is not only expensive but also tasteless.

Don't go to Charming Grassland Country, the reality is very different from the promotion! The first picture is the promotion. The next two pictures show the poor cleanliness and conditions!

If you grow up in the south of the Yangtze River, it is hard to understand the shock of the grasslands and deserts in the north of the Great Wall unless you see them with your own eyes. It is vast and boundless. There are no small bridges and flowing water in the south, no winding and winding paths, and no wind blowing the grass low in ancient poems - the short grass looks like a desert. When the morning sun rises, the ground rises with a unique vitality. Watching the sun coat them with a layer of light gold, watching the light burst out from the clouds like golden threads. When the wind comes, the flowing clouds will change. When the sun sets, the huge halo holds up the red clouds until the sun sets and the grassland becomes dim.

I rode alone across the grassland, watching the last ray of light in the sky being swallowed up by the dusk. The fiery clouds dimmed, and the iron-gray shadows occupied half of the sky, and night fell. We were far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, as if we had been separated from all the prosperity of the world and isolated from the world.

The vast prairie is broad and beautiful. Watching the scenery on the prairie is an incomparable enjoyment.

We may have gone at the wrong time. When we arrived at Xilamuren Grassland, the grass was only a little long and not dense. Despite this, the scenery was still good and worth seeing.

Xilamuren Grassland is located in the Dalhanmaomingan United Banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Xilamuren means "Yellow River" in Mongolian. Xilamuren Grassland is commonly known as "Zhaohe" because there is a Qing Dynasty Lama Zhao Temple "Puhui Temple" on the bank of Xilamuren River. The temple was originally the summer palace of the Sixth Living Buddha of Xilituzhao in Hohhot, and was built in the 34th year of Qianlong (1769). The double-story halls and caves in the temple are quite spectacular with carved beams and painted buildings. Behind Puhui Temple is the Xilamuren River. You can cross the bridge over the river to reach the Albinbao Mountain to enjoy the grassland scenery. The endless scenery is intoxicating.

Serious overcharging. The grass is not green. It rarely rains. It is not recommended. Extremely overcharging.

The scenery is average, it's very sunny, and the grass on the playground is not particularly beautiful.

It was my first time to go to the grassland. The vast grassland was exactly the same as the pictures and videos I had seen before. Riding horses and watching wrestling matches on the grassland were must-do activities. What surprised me most was the grassland scenery at night. It was clear and quiet, which I had never felt before. The stars were particularly bright, and the night sky was particularly beautiful. I went to the grassland at the end of June. It was not yet the rainy season, so the grass was not particularly lush, but it happened to rain, so it was still a bit cold to live in the yurt. It was a pity that I didn't realize my dream of going to see the sunrise on the grassland. I hope to realize this dream next time. On sunny days, the big white clouds in the sky are really more beautiful than cotton candy.

The price of horseback riding is 380 yuan or 480 yuan. Actually, 380 yuan means walking on horseback. The 33 of us each got a package of Xiangshawan tickets with roasted lamb for 980 yuan. The elderly cannot ride horses, so they can only take carriages.

Looking from afar, you can't see the end, it's boundless and the vision is very wide

The grassland is vast and boundless, and it feels very good. If you want to know the specific feeling, you can refer to my travel notes - I came to Inner Mongolia with a low-pixel device. There is not only the Xilamuren Grassland but also the Kubuqi Desert. I tried my best to take beautiful and impressive photos, and then modified them for everyone to see, so please read and refer to them carefully...~ Thank you~~~

If you don't go, you will regret it for the rest of your life. If you go, you will regret it for the rest of your life. The grassland is not as good as I imagined. Maybe I went at the wrong season.

By 루멩 |

Because I went there in December, the grassland was already covered with white snow. But it was still worth going. I experienced the Mongolian yurt on the grassland, ate roasted whole lamb, became a grassland female man, and rode horses to tour the grassland. In winter, you must wear warm clothes and full thermal equipment when riding a horse, otherwise you will be very cold.

By Chi Zhongyuan |

It was my first time to enter the grassland and I was very excited. Riding a horse was an important purpose of my trip. I was very happy.
