The Lingshan Giant Buddha, located on the Xiaoling Mountain beside the Taihu Lake in Wuxi, is the tallest bronze statue of Buddha in the world. It is magnificent and spectacular. The Buddha is one of the five great Buddhas in China. When it was consecrated, many masters came to hold a grand ceremony. It is said that praying for blessings and worshipping the Buddha is very effective. The Buddha is located at the innermost part of the Lingshan Scenic Area, about 1.2 kilometers away from the gate. To get to the Buddha, you need to walk from the scenic area or take a sightseeing bus to the square in front of the Buddha. It takes 288 steps from the square to the foot of the Buddha. There is an elevator in the exhibition hall that leads to the Buddha's feet. You can take the elevator up to hug the Buddha's feet and bring yourself peace.

The Buddha is located in Xiaoling Mountain, which was named by Tang Xuanzang, hence the name Lingshan Buddha. The Lingshan Buddha was built under the personal supervision of Mr. Zhao Puchu, the former president of the Chinese Buddhist Association. As the world's tallest outdoor bronze statue of Sakyamuni, the Lingshan Buddha is 88 meters tall, with a body of 79 meters and lotus petals of 9 meters. It is welded from 1,560 pieces of 6-8 mm thick copper panels, with a weld of 35 kilometers, making its appearance "seamless". The Buddha is made of about 700 tons of copper, and the copper plate area is more than 9,000 square meters, about the size of one and a half football fields.

The Lingshan Buddha is a landmark attraction in the scenic area. It was built and consecrated on November 15, 1997. It is located on the north side of Lingshan Mountain and faces Taihu Lake in the south. The Buddha is 88 meters high, the lotus seat is 9 meters high, and the statue is 79 meters high. The lotus seat of the Buddha consists of four layers of lotus petals, with 22 petals on each layer, for a total of 88 petals. The Buddha is extraordinary and unparalleled in the world. It is a world-renowned outdoor standing statue of Sakyamuni.

The standing of Lingshan Giant Buddha is the beautiful crystallization of aerospace technology, art, history, culture and religion.

The Lingshan Buddha was built according to the Buddhist belief system of "Five Buddhas of Five Directions". The image of the Buddha is solemn and beautiful. It was finalized by Mr. Zhao Puchu, former president of the Buddhist Association of China, and was designed and manufactured strictly according to the "32 characteristics" of the Buddha recorded in Buddhist scriptures. It has a kind face and fine eyes, looking at all living beings, smiling but not smiling, and hearing before speaking.

The Buddha looks down upon the myriad creatures on the Lingshan Mountain, dignified and sacred. It is said to be made of bronze. The "Nine Dragons Bathing" is held five times a day in the square, which is extremely spectacular.

Lingshan Buddha is a famous scenic spot, located between the mountains and waters of Mashan National Scenic Area in Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It is also an important part of the Lingshan Scenic Area in Wuxi City, a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The Buddha is located on the south side of Qinlu Peak in Mashan, Wuxi. It was completed and consecrated on November 15, 1997. The location of the Buddha is Xiaoling Mountain named by Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty, so it is called "Lingshan Buddha". We have reason to believe that there must be countless lightning rods on the top of the Buddha's head, which is very practical and has nothing to do with the image of religion.

The Lingshan Giant Buddha is located at the innermost part of the Lingshan Scenic Area. It is 88 meters high and is one of the landmarks of Wuxi. The best place to see the Buddha is not at the Buddhist temple but at the Xiangfu Zen Temple. Below the Buddha statue is a three-story-high pedestal, which contains a Buddhist museum with a rich collection of artifacts.

It was drizzling that day, and it felt like a fairyland. The fountain was quite unique, spraying every once in a while. The vegetarian lunch tasted good and the quantity was large, which my mother and I could not finish.

Lingshan Scenic Spot is located on the north bank of Taihu Lake. You can take bus No. 89 from Wuxi Railway Station to get there. The journey of about 40 kilometers takes 2 hours. The ticket to the scenic spot is ¥210, and there is a free performance of the Brahma Palace. There are Nine Dragons Bathing, Brahma Palace (and square), Five Seals Altar City, Ashoka Pillar, Lingshan Giant Buddha...attractions in Lingshan Scenic Spot.

When I entered the car, the three people in the same car all wanted to see the Lingshan Giant Buddha first. I didn't care. Anyway, I hadn't decided where to go, so I went to see the Lingshan Giant Buddha first. In fact, I really felt that my decision was correct.

Because it was only eight o'clock when I went there, there weren't that many people, so it was really comfortable.

The weather is very good, the sky is blue, and it is very beautiful to take pictures.

The Lingshan Buddha is really majestic. Even its toenails are bigger than a chair. The power of faith is infinite.

There are about 100 steps in front of the Lingshan Giant Buddha. If you walk slowly, you won’t feel tired.

You cannot climb to the top of the Buddha, but you can go up to the lotus platform through the underground palace and hug the Buddha's feet.

There are several places to burn incense in the whole Lingshan Scenic Spot, and there are many kinds of incense to choose from. If guests are not sure what kind of incense to burn, they can also buy a "family portrait" and worship in front of Xiangfu Zen Temple.

The Lingshan Buddha in Wuxi, Jiangsu, is probably the only one besides the one in Leshan. When I heard the Great Compassion Mantra on the roadside radio, I couldn't help but take out the harmonica I carried with me and went to a place where there were few tourists to play it quietly. It was really a bit funny to play the Great Compassion Mantra with the harmonica, ahem. As I played, I became more interested, and played one song after another, such as "Blue Lotus" and "Olive Tree". Suddenly, I thought of being alone on the road, and felt a little lost. . . Passersby walked by, slowed down their pace, and "looked at me sideways", which made my face red, so I quickly put it away and ran away.

The Big Buddha completes the trip, it is a good place to cleanse the soul, very suitable for cultivating the immortality. Looking at the Big Buddha, people seem so small. The B&Bs nearby are very good, it is recommended to come here for vacation and cultivate the immortality!

It is said to be bigger than the Leshan Giant Buddha. Behind the Buddha is Lingshan Mountain and facing Taihu Lake. You can see the Buddha from a distance when you are about to reach the scenic spot. It can be said that the Buddha is also a representative attraction of Wuxi City. You can appreciate the size of the Buddha by taking the elevator to the Buddha's feet and looking up at the Buddha.

The Lingshan Buddha is majestic, but there are no towering trees in the entire square. Looking from the Jiulongguanbi, I saw the densely packed crowds of people at the foot of the Buddha. At noon when the sun was shining brightly, I could only sigh.

That day was the birthday of Sakyamuni (commonly known as Buddha Bathing Festival), and there were a lot of people visiting to worship Buddha. Since my flight was at around 4pm, I had to leave for the airport around 12pm, so I checked the performance time and arranged the tour route. You have to register in advance to participate in the Buddha Bathing Festival ceremony, and there were so many people, so I didn't participate or watch the ceremony. I went directly to the innermost part to see the big Buddha and touch the Buddha's feet. It was almost 9pm when I arrived, and there was a Nine Dragons Bathing performance at 10am, so I had to rush back to the ceremony location before the performance. At 11:35, there was a ground-springing pagoda performance at the Brahma Palace, followed by a "Auspicious Song" performance at 11am. The timing was just right.

By Girl, it's too late. |

How should I put it? I feel that if foreigners’ first Buddhist tourist attraction is Lingshan Scenic Area, they may have misunderstandings about Buddhism. . .

To cram, you need to take the elevator up. There are a lot of people and you have to wait in line for a long time.

Lingshan Buddha is worth a visit. There are many tourists. You can eat vegetarian food in the courtyard at a low price.

By KingBoss White Rabbit |

The Brahma Palace and the Giant Buddha of Lingshan Mountain, as well as the Nine Dragons Bathing Performance are all very worth visiting. It is a brand new way to understand Buddhism. The splendor of the Brahma Palace far exceeded my imagination.

The traffic under the Buddha is a bit confusing. There are so many stairs and I don’t know which one leads to where, so I came back and drew a diagram:

The platform for holding Buddha's feet can only be reached by taking the elevator through the gate after going up the big stairs... The stairs on both sides around the Buddha's base can only reach the bottom of the lotus seat...

Lingshan Giant Buddha is a modern building that has only been built for 20 years. It is only with the help of the legend that Xuanzang named Xiaolingshan that it is covered with a layer of historical veil and religious color, thus claiming to be a world Buddhist resort (not a holy place) and claiming to be on par with Leshan Giant Buddha. However, leaving aside these self-made halos, the site selection, design and construction of the Buddha are really good. Going up the steps, the majestic Buddha stands between heaven and earth with solemnity and kindness, which really makes people feel infinite respect.

By Architecture Tour |

Wuxi Lingshan is said to be a very popular tourist attraction in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, especially among Buddhist believers and middle-aged women. As an atheist, I visited here for its Buddhist architecture of different styles: the original Indian Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Han Buddhism and Southeast Asian Theravada Buddhism are all reflected in this scenic spot, which can be called the Buddhist version of the window to the world. This is not a recommendation for the scenic spot, but if you always complain about the poor security in India, the lack of oxygen in Tibet, and the heat and backwardness in Southeast Asia, then it is indeed a choice for home travel for men, women, and children.

I have been traveling around Buddhist countries in recent years and wanted to understand how Buddhist architecture is developing in the country. Lingshan is a very representative place.

The Fan Palace is the core of the Lingshan Park. It cost nearly 1.8 billion yuan, which is unprecedented. It was built with the participation of many national treasure-level arts and crafts masters. The exterior imitates the shape of grottoes, and the five pagodas are staggered. The interior is full of carved beams and painted buildings, and you can see precious golden nanmu, Dunhuang murals, flying colored sculptures, huge colored glazes, countless lacquerware, oil paintings, cloisonné, blue and white porcelain and other valuable collections... If you want to know more, you can search the official account: Love Architecture Tour, enter the keywords "China" and "Wuxi" to view related articles.

The Lingshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area is very large. It would take half a day to walk around non-stop. The scenic area seems to close at around 5 o'clock, but the Five Seals Mandala will be cleared at 4:30. If you choose to watch the auspicious song at 4 o'clock, you can't visit the Five Seals Mandala, so it's best to come in the morning so that you have more than enough time. It's quite simple to walk around the route on the map. There are battery cars in the scenic area for 30 yuan per person, which is not recommended because it stops in the outer circle. It's better to walk in the inner circle by yourself and see more scenery along the way. The Nine Dragons Bathing is a must-see, it's very spectacular, so you must check the performance schedule when you enter the door, and don't forget to drink a glass of holy water after the performance. There are many people asking for incense in the Buddha's Hand Square. There are about three points for incense in the whole scenic area, and the price is 45 or 65 for 3 incense sticks. They will also give out blessing signs and blessing ribbons. PS There is a reminder at the entrance of the scenic area that take-out incense cannot be used, so be sure to pay attention! When you get to the Big Buddha, I recommend you take the elevator to the top of the museum on platform 1 to worship, pray, and enjoy the panoramic view of Lingshan Mountain. Then walk down the stairs and you will stop at a store between the first and second floors. It seems to be called Sui Xi Tang. At this time, you can choose to go up to the second floor or down to the first floor. I think this way you can avoid detours, because climbing 216 steps is quite tiring. Finally, after visiting the Five Seals Mandala, exit from the left, walk for a while and bypass a snack square. In short, there are exit signs along the way. After coming out, go straight ahead and there is bus No. 88 across the road. Finally, I hope all your prayers can come true!

The Lingshan Giant Buddha is the world's tallest outdoor bronze statue of Sakyamuni, 17 meters taller than the Leshan Giant Buddha in Sichuan. The Buddha is assembled and welded from 1,560 bronze panels, with a total copper consumption of more than 700 tons. The unfolded area of all the copper panels can reach more than 9,000 square meters, and the total length of the welds is 35 kilometers. In the construction of the Buddha, modern high-tech was used, such as advanced wind resistance, earthquake resistance, and lightning protection measures. Among them, the lightning rod was cleverly hidden in the hair bun of the Buddha. Due to the use of special copper panels and advanced welding technology, the appearance of the Buddha has reached the level of "seamless". The solemn and peaceful Buddha is blessing tourists all the time. It can be said that the Lingshan Giant Buddha is a large-scale art treasure that integrates culture, art, and religion.

Lingshan Buddha is one of the symbols of Wuxi. The Buddha is 88 meters high, with a body of 79 meters and lotus petals of 9 meters. The copper casting is about 700 tons and the copper plate area is more than 9,000 square meters. It is very spectacular and can be seen outside the scenic area. The "Abhaya Mudra" on the Buddha's right hand represents the removal of pain, and the "Greeting Mudra" on the left hand represents the giving of happiness, both of which are blessing gestures.

The ticket is 221 yuan, which is very expensive. The Brahma Palace is not as impressive as I imagined. The scenic spot wins in terms of high-quality services and complete facilities. If you don't want to work hard, the scenic area battery car for 30 yuan can take you anywhere. The Buddha is 88 meters high, and there is an elevator directly to the foot of the Buddha. There is a "Nine Dragons Initiation" performance at the small Buddha every few steps. There are self-service vegetarian meals and Lingshan vegetarian meals with separate tables in the Brahma Palace, which taste good. You can avoid going back by following the guide on the back of the ticket. Each attraction is not far apart, which is a wonder created by money.

Tibetan Buddhist Five-Seal Mandala: The Five-Seal Mandala in the sea of perfume, with red and white walls, black windows, and gilded roof, is like traveling back in time again... Butter lamps, colorful paintings, thangkas, and gilded art are all right before your eyes... Only everything is meticulously crafted, adding a bit of magnificence and a bit of the smell of butter and Tibetan incense.

Lingshan Scenic Spot, located on the shore of Taihu Lake, is the most complete Buddhist cultural theme park in China and the only one that showcases the achievements of Sakyamuni. The overall feeling is that it is extremely luxurious and has a strong commercial atmosphere.

By The Mirror Country |

Lingshan Buddha, I have nothing to say, you must go, you will definitely not regret it. It is very worthwhile to go. The Buddhist culture is very rich. I can't help but linger!

By Beichen |

The commercial atmosphere is too serious, and the ticket price of 210 yuan is a bit expensive. Of course, we have to admit that this is one of the more worthwhile attractions in Wuxi. It happened to rain heavily when we went there, which was very frustrating. The auspicious song of the Brahma Palace is quite good, but it is a pity that it is rebuilt.

By puzzle |

The ticket price is a bit high, but the scenic area is very large and it is a good place for people who sincerely worship Buddha.

It was quite interesting to see the Buddha bloom. When we went there, we felt like we witnessed a "miracle". It was raining at the beginning, but when the Buddha appeared, the sun just came out.

Lingshan Buddha is located on the south side of Qinlu Peak in Mashan. It takes about 40 to 50 minutes to drive from the city. The whole scenic area is not big, and half a day is enough for a visit. There is an 88-meter-high Buddha standing majestically. There are also two performances that are worth seeing, one is the Brahma Palace performance of the auspicious song; the other is the Nine Dragons Bathing.

The Lingshan Giant Buddha is at the very end of the central axis of the scenic area. You can take the elevator to the foot of the Buddha and turn around to overlook the entire scenic area.

Have a bowl of Lingshan vegetarian noodles for lunch. The ingredients are not too rich, but the taste is super good and very satisfying.

Even if all the blue algae in Taihu Lake are exhausted, it is still difficult to cover up the stench of money in Lingshan Mountain!

By The eldest daughter of the Gai family |

Because people say "touching Buddha's hand brings good luck, hugging Buddha's feet brings safety", so on the steps under Lingshan Buddha, everyone is looking for various angles to take photos of touching Buddha's hand to get some good luck. I plan to go up and hug Buddha's feet. The lotus seat is on a high platform, and I have to queue up to take the elevator to the 5th floor.

By LIU is not smart |

The ticket price for the Lingshan Buddha is still very expensive. I found that most of the attractions in Wuxi follow this routine. When we went there, we bought incense at the incense place where the tour guide took us, which cost 99 yuan. Later, we found that it was completely unnecessary. We could also buy incense in the Lingshan Buddha scenic area, and the incense was good and not expensive. There is also a scenic area bus, which costs 30 yuan per person. If there are no elderly people who can't walk, you don't need to buy it. The scenic area is very small, and walking is faster than taking a car... In addition to worshiping Buddha, there are two performances, the Brahma Palace Auspicious Song and the Nine Dragons Bathing. Those who have not seen these two performances can watch them. Non-believers say that they just watch the excitement. The Auspicious Song is lights and singing and dancing, and the Nine Dragons Bathing is a fountain performance about the birth of the Buddha. There are also vegetarian meals in the Brahma Palace, which is also a feature of the Lingshan Buddha. However, I think it is enough to go there after eating a full morning. It takes about half a day to worship and see everything and leave the scenic area.

The location of the Buddha is Xiaoling Mountain, which was named by Tang Xuanzang, hence the name Lingshan Buddha.

The Buddha is magnificent, and the Brahma Palace and the Five Seals Mandala are also a great investment, and are considered the benchmark for similar attractions in China.

The ticket price of NT$210 is very expensive, not to mention that it is all man-made attractions... Walking around the Vatican Palace is like walking in the corridor of a five-star hotel. There are several Buddhist artworks and various souvenirs in the museum.

If you are not a Buddhist, I don't recommend it. If you walk around outside, it is just a large park with various man-made attractions. Apart from a big Buddha to pay homage to, there is nothing to see. The scenic area is completely making all kinds of things to make money by relying on the fame of the Buddha. It is not worth it.

Now the tickets for various scenic spots have been regulated and reduced in price, but the attractions in Wuxi are really not shaken at all. I don't have a good impression. Just watch various small performances to entertain yourself...

Actually, there is a magnificent bronze Buddha statue. I don't like this place very much. I guess it should be a holy place for Buddhists.

Lingshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area is located on Lingshan Road, Binhu District, Wuxi City. It is far from the city. We drove for 1 hour and 40 minutes to get there. The ticket price is 210 yuan. The scenic area is very large and is divided into three scenic areas: Middle Road, East Road, and West Road.

Some tips for friends who want to visit Lingshan:

There are farmhouses along the way that are far away to attract guests. They say it is not far from the scenic spot, don't be fooled. After seeing the large parking lot of the scenic spot, there is a village opposite, which is the best place to find accommodation. There are many farmhouses in that village. If it is far from the scenic spot, there are few buses there, and they only come once every 20-30 minutes. If you drive yourself, you should get closer, because the parking lot in the scenic spot charges a high fee, 20 yuan per time, and 40 yuan per time on holidays. If you stay nearby, you can park your car at the farmhouse to save parking fees.

There are no large supermarkets near the scenic area, only small private shops. Bring more food, as the prices there are expensive.

The Lingshan Giant Buddha in Wuxi is absolutely high-end, and the Buddhist Palace is even more magnificent, so the ticket price is also quite high-end...

The weather was nice, but I didn't expect there to be so many people even on weekends.

The scenery is amazing. Exceeded expectations. Worth a visit.

The last time I came here was 18 years ago, and the Lingshan Buddha is still the same as it was 18 years ago. This time I didn't go in to observe it, but went to a new attraction next to it, the Brahma Palace. But it seems that it caught fire not long after I returned to Tianjin. It's a pity, but the decoration here is really big and grand, and there is an exotic performance inside, but it scared Rou Beile, a naturally timid child.

I've been here since I was a kid, and not much has changed over the years.

The Lingshan Buddha is located at the innermost side of the Lingshan Scenic Area. Go straight inside and you will find the Lingshan Buddha statue at the northernmost end! There are two Buddha statues, one small and one large. The small Buddha statue is located in the Xiangfu Zen Temple at the foot of the Buddha and is about 2 meters high. The Buddha is at the back of the temple and you need to walk 288 steps to reach the foot of the Buddha! The entire Buddha is 88 meters high. If you want to take a full-body photo, you must not take it at the foot of the Buddha. It is most appropriate to keep a distance from the Buddha! When you look at the Buddha, you will feel that the Buddha is always looking at you, and you will have a deep experience of "boundless Buddhism"! At the foot of the Buddha is the Buddhist Culture Exhibition Hall, which you can enter to visit and learn about the relevant knowledge of Buddhist culture! After the visit, you can take the elevator to the foot of the Buddha, touch the toes of the Buddha, and good luck will come to you!

🔹As a Wuxi native, I really recommend the Lingshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area, especially the Brahma Palace, which is stunning.

🔹Bus No. 88/89🚌 goes directly to the scenic spot, and the station is near the entrance of the scenic spot. The ticket to Lingshan is 210RMB (a bit expensive~), and the student ID is half price, 105 (students should bring their IDs with them😊)

🔹There are sightseeing buses in the scenic area, but I walked the whole way because I am young.

🔹You must go to the Brahma Palace! Check the time, the Brahma Palace is very beautiful, magnificent, and the auspicious song performance is amazing.

You can also experience the Nine Dragon Bathing. The feet of the Lingshan Buddha have been touched so much that they have faded.

🔹You will know how beautiful Lingshan is only when you go there. Welcome everyone to Lingshan Scenic Area.

Lingshan Giant Buddha is very spectacular and can be seen from any angle in the scenic area. It is just that the queue time is a bit long. It is recommended to avoid peak hours. Finally, you must climb to the top and touch the Buddha's feet for good luck.

A Buddhist holy place with magnificent and imposing buildings, it is a good tourist attraction where you can fully experience the atmosphere of Buddhism.
