Chaotian Palace

In March, the magnolias in Nanjing Chaotian Palace are in full bloom. White and purple magnolia flowers hang on the branches, shaded between the red palace walls and yellow glazed tiles, emitting bursts of fresh and elegant fragrance.
Chaotian Palace was built on the mountain. It is said that King Fuchai of Wu set up a smelting workshop here to make weapons. Now it is the location of Nanjing Museum. On Yeshan Mountain where Chaotian Palace is located today, one of Nanjing's earliest cities, Yecheng, was built. Since then, Chaotian Palace has been a temple, a Taoist temple, or a school in successive dynasties.
The whole group of buildings is divided into three rows, with the Confucian Temple in the middle, Jiangning Prefecture School on the east, and Bian Hu Temple on the west. In addition, there are Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Hall, Jingyi Pavilion, Feitian Pavilion and other scenic spots. Chaotian Palace in the rain is lush with vegetation and dotted with flowers, which is a unique view. There is a TV screen playing in the Chaotian Palace History Exhibition in the west wing.

The location of Chaotian Palace has a very long history, which can be traced back to Yecheng built by King Fuchai of Wu during the Spring and Autumn Period. The mountain where Chaotian Palace is located is called Yeshan.

In the 17th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1384), it was renamed Chaotian Palace after reconstruction, and a Xiyi Pavilion was built. In the Ming Dynasty, Chaotian Palace had always been a place for the court to practice etiquette before holding grand ceremonies, and a place for the children of officials to learn the etiquette of meeting the emperor before inheriting the title.

In front of the Lingxing Gate, children have been using the hanging belt stone as a slide for years, and as a result, two grooves have been formed on the hanging belt stone.

During the Chenghua period, the imperial court carried out a large-scale reconstruction of Chaotian Palace. After the completion of the construction, the Grand Secretary Shang Lu (lù) wrote the "Monument to the Reconstruction of Chaotian Palace by Imperial Order". This Shang Lu was amazing. He was the third person in the Ming Dynasty to "win the three first prizes", but he did not "win the three first prizes consecutively". After winning the first prize, he failed in many exams. It was ten years later that he won the first prize and the first prize. Before him, Huang Guan of the Ming Dynasty was even more powerful. He won the first place in the county exam, the prefecture exam, the academy exam, the provincial exam, the joint exam, and the palace exam. He passed the exams in one go without interruption. He won the first prize at the age of 27. He was the first in Chinese history. Unfortunately, after Zhu Di's "Jingnan", he died for Emperor Jianwen and threw himself into the river. His name was crossed out from the list of successful candidates. It was not until the Wanli period that he was cleared of all charges and given the posthumous title of Wenzhen.

Chaotian Palace is now the site of the Nanjing Museum. The exhibits are just so-so, with only one burial object of Emperor Yang of Sui being quite good.

Nanjing Chaotian Palace was once the place where the royal family and nobles practiced the ceremony of congratulations during the Ming and Qing dynasties. After years of changes, the ancient buildings are still solemn and majestic, and the classical gardens are elegant and quiet. The Lingxing Gate stands majestically with flying eaves and corners, welcoming everyone who explores history.

Nanjing Chaotian Palace is originally a free tourist attraction, but to take pictures of the cherry blossoms, you have to pass through the museum which charges a fee and then go out to the back garden to take pictures of the palace wall.

There are not many cherry blossoms, but against the backdrop of the deep red palace walls, this composition has a very Chinese style, highlighting the whiteness of the cherry blossoms.

Chaotian Temple is very close to Xinjiekou. It is actually a place with rich historical heritage, but due to the war and lack of attention, it has never been well-known. Currently, it is not open to visitors.

There are four big characters "德佩天下" on the Chaotian Palace archway, but the characters "德" and "佩" have one less and one more stroke respectively. Why is that? Let's explore Chaotian Palace with these questions in mind.

Chaotian Palace is located on Yeshan Mountain, Shuiximennei, Chaotian Palace Street, Qinhuai District, Nanjing. It is the highest-level, largest and most complete existing ancient building complex in the Jiangnan region.

Chaotian Palace, where Nanjing Museum is located, is the highest-level, largest and best-preserved ancient building complex in Jiangnan. The existing building was rebuilt and converted into the Confucius Temple by Zeng Guofan in the fifth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1866). There is a screen wall at the south end, which is connected to the palace wall from east to west. The front of the screen wall is embedded with four large brick characters "Wanren Palace Wall". Inside the palace wall is the Pan Pond, which is the landmark building of the Confucian Temple. There are stone-based brick archways on the east and west sides of the palace wall, with regular script "Virtue matches heaven and earth" and "Dao penetrates ancient and modern" on the door plaques, which are handwritten by Zeng Guofan. Going up through the main line of the steps, there are Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall (for exhibitions), Chongsheng Hall (fixed exhibition of Song and Ming costumes, gold hairpins, gold crowns, robes, etc.), and there is a small garden behind the Chongsheng Hall, which has Jingyi Pavilion, which is the standard configuration of the Confucian Temple and the highest point in Yecheng. On the right side of the Chongsheng Temple is the Imperial Stele Pavilion, in which stands a stele with poems written by Emperor Qianlong during his four visits to the Chaotian Palace. The stele is engraved on all four sides. On the lower left side of the Chongsheng Temple is the Nanjing City History Museum. If you are interested in the history of the Republic of China, you can take a look. On the upper left side is a multifunctional exhibition hall. The first floor recently cooperated with the Dongguan Museum to exhibit Qing Dynasty export handicrafts. The second floor is a boutique exhibition. There are many treasures in the museum, especially the Yuan Dynasty's Xiao He chasing Han Xin under the moon plum vase and Yuan blue and white porcelain treasures that are not available in other places.

What a huge building, right by the Qinhuai River. Walking around the wall, I felt it was magnificent. There were many citizens doing morning exercises at the entrance of Chaotian Palace, and the words "Wanren Palace Wall" were written on the wall.

Actually, I didn't go in, but just took a leisurely walk in the first area. I can imagine how grand it was in the past. Free explanations are provided at 10 am and 2:30 pm every day. If you want to go, pay attention to the time. The price is 25 yuan per person.

Under the vermilion palace wall is a semicircular pond filled with green duckweed. If it weren't for the tourists around me, I would have thought I had returned to ancient times. The small garden is pretty. I walked for a long time but didn't see the magnolia tree in front of the palace wall, but I didn't feel any regret.

Chaotian Palace is the place where the emperor was worshipped. Nanjing Museum is located here. Although it is not as famous as Nanjing Museum, it also has more than 100,000 pieces of collection. In addition, it is a Ming Dynasty building complex, so it is still worth a visit. Some time ago, the Famous City Fair opened, and many exhibitions are still going on. However, it should be noted that although Chaotian Palace is open from 9:00 to 18:00 (closed on Mondays), the closing time of the Municipal Museum is only until 17:00, so it is recommended to take pictures leisurely after the visit.

Chaotian Palace has red walls and yellow glazed tiles, and is a great place to shoot films. The Nanfang City Museum is a good place to learn about the history of Nanjing. There are free areas to visit, and there are also areas where you need to buy tickets. The tickets we bought online are a little cheaper. The museum is very large, and it tells the history of Jinling City. There is also a micro-film introduction to the Imperial Examination, which is very rich in content.

The entire architectural wall of Chaotian Palace is very similar to the Forbidden City in Beijing, and my favorite part is the Chinese red wall.

Chaotian Palace is a model of Confucian temple architecture in the Jiangnan region. It basically retains the palace-style system of the Ming Dynasty and is the highest-level, largest and most intact existing ancient building complex in the Jiangnan region.

By I am ordinary |

It's a little different from what I imagined. It's not very big overall. If you go early, you can basically finish the whole thing in the morning. The rental guide is very ordinary. If you want to learn about the history of Nanjing, you should go to the Nanjing Museum. You can't finish it in one day.

Chaotian Palace is the place where people worship the emperor. It is really surprising that the small Confucian Temple hides the huge Nanjing Museum (a national first-class museum with more than 100,000 cultural relics). The visitor center on the right side of the entrance provides free rental of audio guides (300 yuan deposit or ID card) and free map guides. The famous plum vase of Xiao He chasing Han Xin under the moon is the treasure of the museum (on the third floor of the new exhibition hall, don't miss it). Chongsheng Hall has a Song and Ming costume exhibition, which is a benefit for people who like Hanfu~ PS: Children under 18 years old can get free tickets with their ID cards

By Backpacking Decade |

Chaotian Palace in the snow is quite beautiful, but it's a pity that I can only post nine pictures. In addition, it is worth spending a day to visit the NMB.

By Ming Yufei |

There are not many people in Chaotian Palace after the snow. It is worth a visit to learn about the history of Chaotian Palace and the history of Nanjing. The ticket is 25 yuan, and payment can only be made in cash. At a time when you can use electronic payment to buy sesame cakes, this service of collecting ticket payment is a bit behind the times.

I haven't been to Chaotian Palace for more than ten years. I made my first porcelain here more than ten years ago. Then every time I passed by there, I would look at the small stall selling antiques at the door, look at the red walls, and then leave. I never went in again. This is what it means that there is no scenery at the doorstep, and I always feel that the scenery is far away.

The warm winter sun was very nice. I went there with great enthusiasm, holding my annual park pass. I found that there was no entrance fee and it was no longer called Chaotian Palace but Nanjing Museum. When I entered, I found that the stalls selling antiques were gone and all the small shops inside were gone. It felt spacious and magnificent. Although it is not as large as the Nanjing Museum and its collections are not as many as its predecessors, it still has a solemn and majestic feeling.

A group of little kids lined up to play on the stone slide at the entrance. In the warm winter, everyone was having a lot of fun. The stones had been polished to a shiny finish by generations of people.

There are still ginkgo leaves on the trees in the yard, and even more on the ground. They are golden in the sunlight and very beautiful.

There are two exhibitions, one is Yunshang Zanying, and the cultural relics are all unearthed from Nanjing. The jewelry is very exquisite, but what surprised me even more is the silk clothing from the Song Dynasty, which is so well preserved and has such a soft luster, as if they had just been taken out of the box. It's amazing.

The other is the Maritime Silk Road Shipwreck and Trade Porcelain Exhibition. The porcelains are basically for civilian use, and their exquisiteness cannot be compared with those used by the royal family. Learning about history and seeing how many ships have sunk makes one feel that history is still very magical.

Walking eastward, there are Jingyi Pavilion, Yubei Pavilion, the sculpture group of Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove, iron cannons from the Qing Dynasty, and glazed kilns from the Ming Dynasty on Ye Mountain. I have never seen them before. It feels like Chaotian Palace has become a new tourist attraction.

Chaotian Palace, located in Yeshan, Shuiximen, Chaotiangong Street, Qinhuai District, Nanjing, is the highest-grade, largest and best-preserved ancient building complex in the Jiangnan region. Chaotian Palace has convenient transportation. The place itself is not big and there are not many people. "Tranquil" is the word I most want to use to describe it after searching for a long time.

Chaotian Palace has a long history and its own stories. If you are interested, you can check it out in advance and visit it. It takes about two hours to walk slowly and visit every corner.

The most unforgettable thing here is not only the red walls but also the tulle! Because there are few people, you can take a panoramic photo of the clean and deserted place.

I just happened to catch an exhibition. Even with a little knowledge, I still can't appreciate the true meaning. However, everyone understands beauty and can learn it without a teacher.

I went there during the summer vacation of 2016. It was too run-down and required tickets. If you want to see antiques, I suggest you go to the Nanjing Museum.

By Sarah is always on the road |

A friend recommended this place to me. It's a quiet place with very few tourists. Although there are not as many cherry blossoms as in these places, it has red walls and glazed tiles.

I was extremely unfamiliar with the name of Chaotian Palace. I had been to Nanjing before and took photos of its autumn here when I was a student. I also visited some famous attractions like Confucius Temple, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Yuhuatai, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Qixia Mountain, etc., but I had never noticed Chaotian Palace at all.

The tourist information center in the museum has audio guides, luggage storage, wheelchairs, and strollers.

Chaotian Palace is not very big, and two or three hours is enough to visit it. If you want to look at the exhibits carefully, you need half a day. After asking the staff at the visitor center, I learned that the cherry blossoms are in Zhixin Pavilion. I walked through the pavilions and found this hidden place.

I went to Chaotian Palace mainly to visit Nanjing Museum. The exhibits here focus on the changes of Nanjing. Some of the contents overlap with the Six Dynasties Museum, but the overall feeling is good. But generally such public museums are free, but here you have to pay 25, mainly for the ancient buildings of Chaotian Palace. The palace is closed, and you can't see inside. There are only spacious courtyards and exhibitions in the side rooms. Overall it's OK.

On Yecheng Mountain on the east side of Mochou Road, Shuixi Gate, Nanjing, there is a towering palace with red walls and green tiles hidden among the green trees. Chaotian Palace, as the location of Nanjing Museum, charges 20 yuan. The exhibitions mainly include "History of Nanjing City Building", "Song and Ming Costumes", "Porcelain", etc. I personally feel that the exhibition of "History of Nanjing City Building" is relatively general, and it is partially repeated with the exhibition of the national museum Nanjing Museum, and it is much inferior, and the display method is not good, but the dynamic sand table showing the history of Nanjing City Building is worth seeing. It dynamically displays the history of Nanjing's city building for thousands of years, and marks the location and scope of Nanjing City Site in various periods. It is recommended that friends who travel to Nanjing learn about it. The second thing worth recommending is the "Blue and White Xiao He Chasing Han Xin Under the Moon" plum vase in the treasure collection. This Yuan Dynasty figure jar is one of the few treasures in the country and belongs to the national treasure level. It is exhibited in the hall upstairs of the treasure museum and is separated by a belt. It can only be viewed from a distance of more than one meter away, but the roundness of the plum vase is overwhelming, and I feel very good after seeing it.

The food inside is really good. There were few people there when we went, probably because they were at work~~

This is really highly recommended, a good place must go~~~

It is not a tourist attraction in the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. It is basically a public park, so there are not many tourists. The stone steps at the entrance have been worn out by generations of children, leaving two dents, which is rare in national attractions.

Nanjing Museum, the red walls are quite impressive, the exhibition is ok

This place was first used for Taoism, then for academy, and then for Zhu Yuanzhang to hold court. It is said that there are many stories here, such as how the generals who conquered the world were taught how to be knowledgeable and well-mannered in front of the Dacheng Hall... There are many allusions. The Jingyi Pavilion in the back mountain, the inscription of Emperor Kangxi, the water conservancy facilities, and the cannons are all worth seeing.

By Never~KK |

I would like to say something extra about Chaotian Palace. Originally, my sister Han and I were going to the Nanjing Museum, but when we took a taxi, we selected Nanjing Museum on the map and it automatically navigated to Chaotian Palace.

So everyone should pay attention, museum and museum, there is only one word difference, they are two completely different places~

But since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. Since I'm here, I might as well go in and take a look around.

There is an entrance fee here, 25 yuan for adults and 10 yuan for students.

It's not very big, just a few rooms with some unearthed cultural relics and a back garden.

This is the Chaotian Palace that you can see as soon as you enter the gate.

At first we were stupid, seeing many security guards at the gate, we didn't know we could go in here, we walked around the back garden, found nothing, and then we realized we could go in here. Haha.

There are a lot of unearthed accessories and clothes in it. In fact, for girls, looking at these is more interesting than other cultural relics, haha.

This is the city-level museum with the richest and best collections that I have seen so far. Chaotian Palace itself is the largest existing Ming and Qing ancient building complex in Nanjing. It is built on the mountain and is well-proportioned. As the [Nanjing Museum], it exhibits many fine cultural relics unearthed in the Nanjing area, among which the exquisite gold artifacts are particularly impressive. Many people in the comments on this page confuse Chaotian Palace [Nanjing Museum] with the famous [Nanjing Museum]. Please remember that Chaotian Palace is located in the [Nanjing Museum], and a 20 yuan ticket is charged for entry. Of course, I personally think that this 20 yuan is very worthwhile!

Taoist temple. Located at No. 178, Zhongshan Road, Beigang Town, Yunlin County. The temple is also known as Beigang Mazu Temple because it is dedicated to Mazu. In the 33rd year of Emperor Kangxi's reign (1694), Monk Shude built a small temple in Beigang to worship the Mazu statue that was respectfully invited from Meizhou Island, Putian City, Fujian Province. This marked the beginning of the construction of Beigang Chaotian Temple.

The museum exhibits a large number of historical and cultural relics from Jiangsu Province. It is a good place to learn history.

Chaotian Palace is the last stop of the Nanjing tour. I didn't do much research at the beginning. It is really an unexpected beauty! There are not many tourists, and the scenic area is very user-friendly (there is a storage area at the entrance, free wifi in the park, and there are beautiful memories of old Nanjing citizens skating outside the Lingxing Gate). It is one of the three Confucius statues in Nanjing (Confucius Temple, Chaotian Palace, and Municipal Government). The park is very clean and there are resident cats!

Nanjing Chaotian Palace is the highest-grade, largest and best-preserved ancient building complex in the Jiangnan region. It is located in Yeshan, Shuiximen, Chaotian Palace Street, Qinhuai District, Nanjing. The name Chaotian Palace was given by Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, which means "worshiping the heaven" and "seeing the emperor". It has now been turned into a Nanjing Museum. The history of Chaotian Palace can be traced back to the Yecheng built by King Fuchai of Wu during the Spring and Autumn Period. After that, it has gone through vicissitudes and has been a temple, a Taoist temple, or a school. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt on the original site of the Qing Dynasty. It was transformed from a Taoist building in the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties into a Confucian Temple of Confucius and Jiangning Prefecture School (the old site of Jiangning Prefecture School was changed to Nanjing Martial Temple, and changed to Examination Yuan during the Republic of China). After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the National Government turned Nanjing Chaotian Palace into the Nanjing Capital High Court.

I really like Chaotian Palace. While most of the scenic spots in Nanjing are crowded, Chaotian Palace seems clean and comfortable. The museum is not big and very detailed. The whole palace is full of exquisite garden architecture. Some people are filming in ancient costumes. Overall, I really like the Chaotian Palace Youth Hostel nearby. In the morning, I see grandparents doing morning exercises around. Everything is very peaceful.

Second visit. Went on the opening day, lots of people. It's very beautiful in autumn. P.S. Chaotian Palace has snow in winter and flowers in spring, and it's beautiful in all seasons.

I went there with my best friend in July 2009. We signed up for a tour group because we thought the ancient capital was a must. My best friend's home was in Nantong, so we thought it was very close. But it wasn't. It was very convenient because we signed up for a tour group. Although I have forgotten everything I heard from the tour guide, I still thought it was good at the time.

By ≮Empty City≯ |

It can be summed up in four words: magnificent! The underground space is a museum of unearthed cultural relics.

Unlike the museum, Chaotian Palace is an ancient building, and there are costume photo shoots inside, which is quite beautiful. . But another difference from the museum is that the light inside the Chaotian Palace exhibition hall is too dim. I went there when there were few people, and the sudden appearance of a tourist or staff member in the dark could scare you, which was also drunk. .

Chaotian Palace (20 yuan ticket) is located next to Nanjing Museum. I walked around Chaotian Palace for several times. I wanted to visit the museum mainly to see the Republic of China architecture that everyone praised. I felt okay after visiting it once. I was not particularly shocked. If you are interested in history, you can take a look.

What is interesting are some simulated buildings and mission statues.

As a museum in Nanjing, Chaotian Palace is still worth visiting. There were few people during the May Day holiday, but it took us a long time to find the gate. An audio guide can be rented for free and the ticket price is only 15 yuan. This is the atmosphere that a museum should have.

Chaotian Palace is next to Nanjing Museum. There are not many people and it is quite deserted. The security guard probably has nothing to do, so he pulled us to talk about the history of Chaotian Palace. But you can still come and see it. The building is well preserved and has a grand momentum.

We walked to Chaotian Palace. There were so few people there. It was like they had contracted the scenic spot. The ticket was 20 yuan per person, which was worth it. It looked like an ancient building from the outside, but it was actually a museum inside.

Originally, Chaotian Palace was not within the scope of our tour, but I confused it with the "Nanjing Museum". The one-letter difference between it and the Nanjing Museum made us encounter it by accident on a rainy day. In addition, the ticket price was 20 yuan per person, so my wife had not planned to go in. However, since we had "traveled a long way" to get here on a rainy day, I still bought a ticket and went in to visit.

"Rainy days are a good time to keep guests." This light rain made us stay in Chaotian Palace. Only then did I see the ancient Nanjing after the rain and took the most satisfying photos. This trip would not be in vain.

We spent about 2 and a half hours in Chaotian Palace, and most of the time was spent taking photos. I still recommend it to tourists who want to take photos here, except for "photographers" who have been to the Forbidden City in Beijing after the rain. If you are just a tourist who comes to see the collections in the museum, I don't recommend it very much. Nanjing Museum is more worth seeing, except for those who are rich and willful, have a lot of time and are bored, or who stumbled here by accident.

Maybe it is the only place in Nanjing that has red walls and yellow tiles, so the Chaotian Palace I encountered is extremely beautiful. Here I really felt the ancient flavor of Nanjing after the rain. This trip is worth it!

Chaotian Palace is said to be the largest and best-preserved ancient building complex in Jiangnan.

The ticket seller at Chaotian Temple was not easy to deal with. We were scolded for no reason, but it did not disturb our interest. We went in with great interest. There were only a few people in the museum, and it felt like a private place. We walked around for most of the time but there was nothing interesting, so we looked for angles to take pictures.

Chaotian Palace is very beautiful, with beautiful scenery. There are temples and cultural relics on display. It is a place worth visiting in Nanjing. Chaotian Palace is a surprise for me in Nanjing. I like it very much.

The original plan was to go to the Nanjing Museum, but we went the wrong way!! One word difference, a thousand miles away, we mistakenly entered this crappy museum, which was also tied to the Chaotian Palace. It mainly exhibits the history of Nanjing, from the earliest primitive people to the Republic of China, showing the changes of Nanjing... I personally feel... there is nothing to see, so let's just take pictures...

By Little pupu |

Then we took a bus to the museum. Baidu Maps didn't let me down this time. The museum was right across the street from where I got off the bus. I like going to a city's museum the most because I can see the essence of the city. The most important thing is that it's free! Hahaha. The old Nanjing inside is really interesting. I like these antiques, ancient streets, and ancient locomotives...

Chaotian Palace is always empty ~ Actually it is worth visiting

This is the place I want to complain about the most. There is nothing to see →_→ Although the ticket is not expensive. But it is a waste of my ticket.

The scenic spot is good, and it is also cheap to buy through Ctrip. The ticket is issued very quickly. It happened to be included in the ticket for the two small exhibitions of unearthed objects of Jiangxi vassal kings. The better cultural relics were all in the exhibition, so I didn't see them. The environment is quiet, the ancient trees are towering, and the ticket price is 20 yuan. The exhibition of unearthed objects in Changgan Temple requires an additional 40 yuan. The statue of Confucius stands there very empty, with two halls and a pavilion. The hardware is open. The history can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period. King Fuchai of Wu smelted iron and cast swords in Yeshan here. The history of building the Confucian Temple can be traced back to the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the highest-level, largest and most complete ancient building complex in the Jiangnan region. The three characters of Chaotian Palace were bestowed by Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and mean "worshiping the heaven" and "seeing the emperor". After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the National Government opened the ancient building complex of Chaotian Palace in Nanjing as the Nanjing Capital High Court. There is also the Nanjing Museum nearby.

Compared with Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and Presidential Palace, Chaotian Palace is definitely less populated. But its ancient architectural style is still worth seeing.

The Nanjing Museum is not as grand as the National Museum. It was so deserted on the National Day. I had a lot of fun with my friends in it.

This attraction left a deep impression on me. On a day when all the attractions were crowded, there was still a quiet place where I could relax and have a look.

Ticket price: 20 yuan/person

There are very few people, and there is wireless WIFI throughout the entire attraction. The air conditioning in the museum is sufficient, and the WIFI signal is good. If you are tired, you can sit down and rest. The most important thing is that it is quiet!

Chaotian Palace is located on a small hill southwest of Nanjing (called Yeshan in ancient times, and the address is No. 4 Chaotian Palace, Jianye Road). It is a 4A scenic spot and a national cultural relic protection. It is now the Nanjing Museum. You need to buy a ticket to visit, and the ticket price is 25 yuan. In history, it was a Taoist temple, and later changed to a Confucian temple. Chaotian Palace was named by Zhu Yuanzhang. In the Ming Dynasty, it was a place for the court to practice etiquette before holding grand ceremonies. It was destroyed during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. When it was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, it was changed into the Confucius Temple and the Jiangnan Academy. It was the High Court during the Republic of China. After the founding of New China, it became the Nanjing Museum. It has a collection of 100,000 cultural relics. Chaotian Palace is a typical palace-style building of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The main attractions include the screen wall, memorial archway, Panchi, Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Chongsheng Hall and other attractions. In the past few years, there were etiquette performances. There are exhibitions such as Nanjing in the Six Dynasties, Nanjing in the Ming Dynasty and Nanjing in the Republic of China. There is an antique market next to it, which is quite famous in China, and some people come to shop for goods and collect them. In the past, children had nothing to play with, so the stone steps in front of the Lingxing Gate became a slide for children to play on. This custom has a history of hundreds of years.

Student price: 10 yuan (40 yuan extra for the special museum, but I didn’t go there)

It was afternoon when I went there, and there happened to be a tour group, so I followed the guide and listened to his stories. You can do the same. There are no collections in the outermost doors, but there are collections in the innermost door. There are three floors in total, divided by time, from ancient times to the present, including electronic screens, calligraphy, paintings, clay sculptures, clothes, utensils, etc. There were not many people in the museum, and it was very comfortable to stay there. Maybe it was a coincidence that I went there at noon, you know, the picture below (a small part)

When I arrived at the "Nanjing Museum", I couldn't see where the entrance was. I walked around the outside of the museum and found that the entrance was right where I got off the bus.

By Shadow Love |

I wandered around and arrived at the Chaotian Palace, which seemed to be a museum! Unfortunately, when I arrived, it was closed at around 4:30 pm.
