Qixia Mountain is also known as She Mountain. It got its name because a "Qixia Jingshe" was built in the mountain during the Southern Dynasties. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the Yangtze River to the north. The mountain has three peaks.
Qixia Mountain has charming scenery and many historical sites scattered across its peaks. It is known as "the most beautiful mountain in Jinling". Especially in late autumn, the maple forests are all over the mountain.
The historical sites here include not only the Qixia Temple, but also the Thousand Buddha Rocks carved in the Southern Dynasties and the Stupa of the Sui Dynasty, as well as the easternmost "Dunhuang Ruins" discovered in China.
Northeast of Qixia Temple on the mountain, there is a blue-gray rock on the south slope of Pingshantou with a wavy surface, known as "Dielang Rock", which is very rare.

If you only look at the scenery, then it can only be said to be OK. However, compared with the fame of Qixia Mountain, it is still a bit disappointing. There is no scenery of thousands of mountains and layers of forests dyed red. Evergreen trees still account for the majority, and the red leaves are only scattered in small patches. Moreover, most of the trees are not tall. Of course, it is only OK as a place for weekend leisure.
This is the unfiltered photo of Qixia Mountain, some parts of it look like this.
Who is drunk in the frosty forest at dawn? It is always the tears of parting.
Look at the red mountains and the colorful forests; the clear blue river and the boats racing against each other.
Seeing these scenes, many poems involuntarily emerged in my mind.
I see how charming the green mountains are, and I guess the mountains see me the same way.
Mainly evergreen trees, red maple trees are mostly found on both sides of new stone roads or highways.
As its name suggests, Qixia has a beautiful sunset, but it is near dusk, and the red afterglow reflects the clouds on the ground and decorates the distant sky. That is the last blood color of life, and the next is the cold winter covered with silver.
The route is to climb up the mountain along the newly built flat stone steps or spiral roads, or wooden stairs with handrails, so that both sides are lined with that special red maple. You can "see the distant mountains and cold mountains, and the stone path is slanting", and then "stop the car and sit to enjoy the maple forest in the evening".
Don't climb up the steep and dilapidated old stone steps easily. The further you go, the more wild the mountain road becomes, which has been trampled upon by people for a long time. Occasionally there are dangerous and thrilling sections, but you are blocked by the crowd and cannot turn back, so you have to crawl away with gritted teeth.
Life requires eyes to discover beauty, luck to encounter beauty, and the right perspective to choose.
Don't wait until they are completely red. The environment on the mountain is different. Some are completely red, some are mixed, and some are just beginning to be stained with red clouds in the green. And the speed of withering is getting faster and faster. If you go late, you may miss it.
Basically, the main focus is on climbing, and I will write more content in the travel notes.
You can take pictures of the pavilion and maple leaves, the road and maple leaves. The most amazing thing is that there is a large area of maple trees, all red or yellow, with sunlight shining through, and you can take very transparent photos with large maple leaves, but there are a lot of people in that area, and the red trees are basically full of aunts. We found yellow maple leaves and the photos turned out great.
Qixia Mountain---One of the four major maple viewing spots in China
There is a saying in old Nanjing: "Spring is in Niu Shou, and Autumn is in Qixia".
It might be Sunday, it might not be late autumn yet
There is no red everywhere, only crowds of people
It is really like "When the maple leaves all over the mountains are about to burn, calling for companions to take a leisurely stroll makes you almost crazy"
We walked around Qixia Temple and then queued up to take the shuttle bus up the mountain and then queued up to take the shuttle bus down the mountain.
Qixia Mountain Scenic Area is very large and requires a whole day to explore in depth. In addition to red maples and ancient temples, there are also many cultural relics. It is known as the "Six Dynasties Scenic Spot" and has the reputation of "one Qixia Mountain, half of the history of Jinling". The end of November and the beginning of December every year are the most beautiful times of Qixia Mountain. The whole mountain is full of maple leaves, and the red clouds cover the eyes. It is worthy of being one of the four major maple viewing spots. This is also the most beautiful maple viewing spot I have ever seen. You can take a car to the top of the mountain and then walk down. This is not tiring.
You can see the Yangtze River from the top of Qixia Mountain, and maple leaves in autumn. There is also a Qixia Temple with some history, and the stone pagoda is worth seeing. Overall, the scenery is just average. Maybe there was haze on the day I went there, so I felt that there was no need for out-of-town tourists to come here specifically. It is just a place for locals to have fun on weekends.
A good place to enjoy maple leaves in Nanjing. During school, I took a long bus ride from Jiangning to Qixia. Some tour guides would tell you that you don’t need to buy a ticket. You can pay them a little and they will take you on a small path. They will turn back halfway and you will still have to buy a ticket (don’t ask me how I know).
Unexpectedly beautiful, but it's a pity that the haze is so severe~
Qixia Mountain is located in the northeast corner of Nanjing. The most beautiful season is autumn to see the maple leaves. Faye Wong has been there before.
It is really beautiful during the Red Maple Festival. It is still recommended, but there are a lot of people at that time.
If you want to see the maple leaves, go there at the end of 11🈷️, when they are at their most gorgeous. Walk up slowly, and you will see maples all over the roadside. It is so beautiful. Of course, there are also many people. I went there on a weekday, and there were many people.
Qixia Mountain is very large, so it is recommended to take a sightseeing bus. We walked up along the small path.
Qixia Mountain really did not disappoint us, the various colorful flowers overwhelmed us.
Qixia Mountain is half of the history of Jinling. It is so beautiful to go there in autumn!!! Although there are many people, fortunately Qixia Mountain is quite large and you can spread out.
In autumn, I would go to Qixia Mountain to see the red leaves all over the mountain. But there were too many people, so crowded that people were squeezed together.
The red leaves are beautiful, and you can see the Yangtze River. I went there in early December, and there weren't many people. But the traffic outside the scenic area was too chaotic, and it was hard to wait for the bus. I waited for a long time before I got a taxi to the subway station. It was very troublesome to go back and forth.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a red maple leaf. Although the haze is severe, it can’t cover its beauty.
2018.11.28 The maple leaves in Qixia Mountain are very red. It's a weekday and not very crowded. Nice
recommend
Red leaves of Qixia Mountain
The bus ride was a bit long. The maple leaves were not planted in patches but were regular, but they were still very beautiful. The best viewing period is the end of November every year. It is best to bring a camera.
The autumn wind is bleak, the maple leaves are dyed, the Qixia ancient temple is full of culture
It was worth my attention for a month, and I came all the way from Shanghai to see it. There were quite a lot of red ones.
The maple leaves in Qixia Mountain are not all red, only a few of them are red. I feel that it is not necessary to go there just to see the maple leaves. I think Qixia Temple is good. Please ask the host master to consecrate my Maitreya Buddha. Thank you! In addition, the stupa and Qianfoyan are good.
I have been in Xianlin for nearly 8 years, but I didn't expect Qixia Mountain to be so close! I was in a hurry and only visited it for one afternoon. The maple leaves were not yet fully red. I will go there another day!
I took subway line 2 to NCU Xianlin Campus Station, and then took a bus to Qixia Mountain. It was drizzling, so I went to the Qixia Ancient Temple to pray. I walked up the wooden steps until I reached the Maple Leaf Valley, where I saw some maple trees dotted in the green forest. They were not red leaves. But the maple leaves I took in the fog that day still left me with beautiful memories.
"Qixia Autumn Melody--Thank you for not taking a piece of me away"

Coming back again 20 years later, it's worth going again.
It has beautiful scenery and a long history, and could be rated as a 5A scenic spot, but it was messed up by the tourism management department!
Complaints:
1. Follow the navigation to the parking lot marked with a P on Baidu Maps. When we get there, the staff says it is an internal parking lot and is not open to the public. There are more than 100 parking spaces, and it is only for insiders? How luxurious!
The traffic light at the entrance is also very strange. It stays red and won't turn green. The parking lot designed by the scenic spot is under construction at the second exit of the roundabout one kilometer away. There is a highway viaduct above the parking lot. If you search the navigation back to the city, it will tell you to get off at the next highway exit and then get on the highway to Nanjing again...
There is no shuttle bus from the parking lot to the scenic spot entrance, you have to walk, and it takes ten minutes to go back and forth. The design of this parking lot is definitely planned by an amateur, and professionals cannot design such a scenic spot parking lot.
2. The transportation to the scenic spot is far from the city, and it takes a long time to take the bus. It is really inconvenient if you are not traveling by car.
There are construction sites and construction vehicles everywhere nearby.
3. The Qixia Ancient Temple is quite good. The thousand-year-old temple, the stupa and the Thousand Buddha Grottoes are no less than those of the Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou.
However, the development of the back mountain is completely in the primitive primary stage. The stone road up the mountain is under construction. Since it is still in the primary stage, I won’t complain about the lack of road signs. I found the route by looking at Baidu Maps. There is no toilet on the top of the mountain, so I had to find a corner to solve it, although I didn’t want to. No wonder I was the only tourist in the huge back mountain. Several employees drove the tour bus for a ride, but there were no tourists.
4. I climbed a mountain to visit the Qianlong Imperial Garden. I finally found the garden. There were staff cars parked there, tourist buses were stored there, and there were messy signs for the scenic area. The building was an office space, and the walls were dirty. The garden was in a mess. It hadn't been taken care of by a gardener for at least a few years. I didn't want to go in when I got to the door. The magnificent Qianlong Garden was like this. The emperor's life was too hard!
5. The words on the map on the ticket are so small and blurry that you can’t make them out no matter how hard you look at them.
Friends who want to go to Qixia Mountain had better wait a few more years until the supporting facilities are complete. Now the whole scenic area is garbage except for the Qixia Ancient Temple! It is obviously guarding a gold mountain and silver mountain, but the management is not up to par, and its popularity is far behind other scenic spots in Nanjing, @Nanjing Tourism Bureau
The famous Qixia Mountain is not quite what I imagined!
Qixia Mountain is really big, I recommend you to take a look around
The mountain behind Qixia Temple is a mountain, and the one with sightseeing buses around it is another mountain.
If there is a sightseeing bus, I recommend taking it! I almost cried even though I have such good stamina.
Qixia Mountain is not very high, with the main peak only over 300 meters high. It is named after the Qixia Temple in the mountain. It is a famous maple viewing site in China, and countless people come here to view the maple leaves every year. The ticket price is usually 25 yuan per person, and it will be slightly increased when there are activities such as the Red Maple Festival.
The driver said that in late autumn, you can see red, golden, green and various patterns of maple leaves. We came at the right time and were super excited. I was already imagining the beautiful scene in my mind and couldn't wait to get close to Qixia Mountain and unveil its colorful veil.
Red maple leaves, golden ginkgo, golden maple leaves, red, yellow and green maple leaves... colorful and colorful. Enjoy the spiritual joy brought by the impact of visual beauty along the way.
The higher you go, the more beautiful the scenery becomes. Although you are very tired, you can't bear to stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery for fear of missing out on the enjoyment of beauty. Everything the beautiful scenery brings is far better than the fatigue.
Tip: Mid-November is the best time to view the red leaves of Qixia Mountain, so travelers should go at the right time. Each person can get a free stick of incense at the customer service center not far from the entrance.
Qixia Mountain, located 22 kilometers northeast of Nanjing City, is also known as Sheshan. It got its name because "Qixia Jingshe" was built in the mountain during the Southern Dynasties.
Qixia Mountain is so huge and so beautiful. I will come back again in the future.
It is recommended to go after 5 o'clock, no tickets are required, the greatest pleasure is climbing, you can overlook the Yangtze River Bridge
The scenery is average, the sense of history is strong, and the stone sculpture of the little monk in Qixia Temple left a deep impression on me
I went to Nanjing during the Maple Leaf Festival and didn’t miss the beautiful red maples! An unexpected gain during the trip!
Located in Xianlin area, it is particularly beautiful when the red leaves are in full bloom in autumn and the tickets are not expensive
The maple leaves of Qixia Mountain are famous throughout the country, but the location is relatively remote and there is no direct subway access.
Qixia Mountain is known as the "Six Dynasties Scenic Spot". In the Ming Dynasty, it was listed as one of the "Forty-eight Scenes of Jinling". It has the reputation of "One Qixia Mountain, Half of the History of Jinling". In history, five kings and fourteen emperors have climbed Qixia Mountain. There are more than 80 historical sites, which are a collection of religious culture, imperial culture, green culture, celebrity culture, geological culture, stone carving culture, and tea culture. In 1634 AD, Zhang Hong, an outstanding painter of the Ming Dynasty, painted "Qixia Mountain Map" which depicted the scenery of Qixia Mountain in the suburbs of Nanjing during the Ming Dynasty. The ancient Qixia Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, the ancestral home of the "Three Theory School" of Buddhism, and one of the "Four Great Forests" of Buddhism, is located on the western foot of Qixia Mountain.
Qixia Mountain is located in Qixia District, Nanjing City. It is also known as Sheshan Mountain and is known as "the most beautiful mountain in Jinling". During the Southern Dynasties, a "Qixia Jingshe" was built in the mountain, hence the name.
The scenic spot in the suburbs of Nanjing has a very long history. Maple leaves are an absolute feature, so if you go there in autumn, you will be feasting your eyes. In addition to Beijing's Xiangshan, this is also a famous place in China to view red leaves. It is also a Buddhist holy place, and it is said to have a very important significance in Buddhism. Because it is in the suburbs, the geographical location is relatively far, and you need to climb a mountain. Although it is not high, you still need to arrange a day.

3. Since there are so many maple trees in Qixia Mountain, it is especially interesting to go there in late autumn. You can usually go there from the end of October to the beginning of December.
I went there with my family. I admire myself for climbing all the way. The scenery is good and worth seeing.
Going during the Red Leaf Festival is the best way to see the red leaves. Be sure to avoid going on weekends and holidays, as there are too many people and the vegetarian restaurants in Qixia Temple are very low cost-effective.
Just in time for the most beautiful red leaves⑅❛ ᵕ ❛⑅
Mount Qixia is half of Jinling. The autumn colors of Mount Qixia are even more brilliant than those of Mount Xiang, Mount Yuelu and Mount Tianping.
Qixia Temple is located on the west foot of the middle peak of Qixia Mountain in Qixia District, Nanjing City. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the Yangtze River to the north. It is one of the four famous temples in China, the birthplace of the "Three Treatise School" of Buddhism, and the Buddhist center of China during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. During the Southern Dynasties, it was as famous as Jiming Temple and Dingshan Temple.
Qixia Temple was first built in the seventh year of Yongming in the Southern Qi Dynasty (489 AD). Liang monk Lang promoted the Three Treatises here and was known as the founder of the Three Treatises School in Jiangnan. Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, Yang Jian, built stupas in 83 states, and his edict to build stupas named Qixia Temple in Jiangzhou as the first. In the Tang Dynasty, it was called Gongde Temple. It was huge in scale and was known as one of the four major monasteries in the world, along with Lingyan Temple in Changqing, Shandong, Yuquan Temple in Dangyang, Hubei, and Guoqing Temple in Tiantai, Zhejiang. [1][2]
In April 1983, Qixia Temple was designated as a national key Buddhist temple in the Han area, and the Qixiashan Branch of the Chinese Buddhist Academy was established in the same year. In January 1988, it was listed as a national key cultural relic protection site.
In late autumn, around the end of November every year, the mountains and forests are covered with red.
Nanjing Qixia Mountain is one of the four major maple viewing spots in China and is well worth a visit. Of course, you must go there on a sunny day, as maple leaves will only be more beautiful under the sunlight. If you take a photo from the front of the maple leaf, the leaves may curl up and lack moisture. There are many kinds of maple leaves in Qixia Mountain, with more red leaves all over the mountain, and some yellow and green leaves dotted among them. The ticket price during the maple viewing period is 40 yuan, which is generally worth the money. If you follow the group, the red maple combined with the local Qixia Temple will be even more beautiful.
It's OK! But the ride is long, basically from the first stop to the last stop. Not to mention driving there. You will drive halfway and leave your car somewhere. Haha
The long history and distinctive five-leaf red leaves constitute the unique charm of Qixia Mountain.
It's already early winter, and I thought the red leaves had fallen long ago, but I felt it was still good when I went there today.
November is the best time to go, as it is not very beautiful at other times. The scenery of the forests in late autumn is very popular.
Visiting Qixia Mountain is like walking in a painting.
It is true that "I say autumn is better than spring"
A very good place to enjoy the autumn.
Things to note: Be sure to go early. It would be even better if you can arrive before 7:00. Not only is there no admission fee, but there won't be a large number of tourists. You can explore slowly and quietly, and take photos without worrying about tourists getting in your photo.
According to my observation, the number of tourists entering the park surges after 9:00, which greatly reduces the sightseeing experience.
This season is good, there are many tourists, the tour takes about 4 hours, late autumn is colorful and beautiful
The scenery is really nice, it should be more beautiful if you come in late November. But the toilets in the scenic area are too dirty and smelly
Unfortunately, the attraction is being upgraded but tickets are still charged. I wanted to relax and breathe fresh air, but I didn't expect that there was dust from the dump trucks and the smell of paint on the newly built plank road everywhere, which greatly reduced the points of this trip and affected my mood.
If the upgrade is completed, I believe this scenic spot is still suitable for relaxing on weekends. You can see the Yangtze River and the surrounding scenery from the top of the mountain. There are red maples deep in the mountain, but you have to wait until late autumn.
Anyway, I don't recommend going there recently.
One of the must-visit places to enjoy the red leaves in Nanjing in autumn.
A famous maple viewing spot in the south, with ancient temples and famous mountains, the most beautiful in late autumn. But there are a few tourists. The mountain is not very high, just right for a day's hike. Qixia Temple with red leaves and ginkgo. The temple is very popular and free incense is given away. Thumbs up.
November to December every year is the most beautiful time in Qixia Mountain, with red maples and incense sticks complementing each other, and crowds of tourists, creating a beautiful scene like a painting.
Yeah! Qixia Mountain is very nice. Although there are no maple leaves all over the sky, the greenery is still very nice! 👍
The scenic area is under construction before the National Day holiday. Only Qixia Temple is open. The ticket price is 10 yuan. Please note that friends who visit the scenic area~
Qixia Mountain is very beautiful in autumn. You can see the golden maple leaves falling slowly. It is very beautiful.
The Qixia Mountain with its red maple leaves looks like a wonderland, but it’s best to go there early as it takes quite a lot of time to walk around.
It is better to go in autumn, the colors will be much richer, and the stupa is a thousand-year-old monument worth seeing. The mountain gate is backlit in the morning, so it is difficult to take pictures of the colors. Those who like to take pictures should pay attention. If you are not for fitness, don't go to the top of the mountain, the river view is too foggy, and there are sand-carrying ships on the river. Don't go to the top of the mountain, there is only a mobile phone signal tower!!!
The fourth time I went to Qixia, my feelings became deeper and deeper. Qixia Mountain in late autumn is stunningly beautiful.
I went there in early December. Although I had missed the best date, there were still surprisingly many people. The leaves had fallen a lot, but the maple leaves in the Red Leaf Valley were still quite red. There are many other special attractions in Qixia Mountain, but they are far away. Friends with good physical strength can go and visit. I still want to go to Lu Yu Tea House, but I am not strong enough, so I left when I arrived at the Red Leaf Valley. If you want to eat vegetarian food at Qianfozhai, you must go early. There will be no food after 2 o'clock. I didn't eat it anyway. There were so many people queuing...
It was the weekend during the red leaves season, so there were a lot of people and traffic was a bit congested. But the red leaves and ginkgo trees were beautiful.
Qixia Mountain is not as high as Zhongshan Mountain, but it is quiet and peaceful, with charming scenery and historical sites scattered all over the peaks. It is known as "the most beautiful mountain in Jinling". Especially in late autumn, Qixia has red maple forests, like a beautiful painting, and it is known as "Niu Shou in spring and Qixia in autumn". There are also the Southern Dynasty stone carvings of the Thousand Buddha Rock and the Sui Dynasty stupa. It is best to go there in autumn when there are red leaves.
Qixia Mountain Because I found out that the weather was sunny and warm today, and I was full of energy at the beginning of the journey, I arranged to climb the mountain first. Transportation: Take the subway to "Nanjing Railway Station" first, and take bus 206 or 207 from the bus stop not far from Nanjing Railway Station North Square Station, and get off at Qixia Temple Station. The journey is still a bit far, about an hour's drive. The bus is an older minibus, with tickets sold by people and charged in sections. There are quite a lot of people on the bus. We got on the bus at the main station, so we had a seat, otherwise it would be tiring to stand all the way.
After getting off the bus, I saw the plane trees along the way were covered with yellow leaves, which was the taste of late autumn. Tickets: 40 yuan. First, I went to Qixia Temple. Qixia Mountain is not high, and the road is not steep. It is quite easy to walk. If you are not here to enjoy the maple leaves in autumn, you don’t need to choose to come here. This place is suitable for local people to enjoy mountaineering. Today I finally appreciate the gorgeous autumn colors of Qixia!
The Qixia Temple Relic Pagoda is located in the east of Qixia Temple at the foot of Qixia Mountain in Qixia District, Nanjing. It is a Buddhist stone pagoda from the Five Dynasties period in China and the largest relic pagoda in China. This building is art. After years of baptism, it is a culture and a treasure of mankind! Pious worship is just what I must do when I enter the temple. I like this kind of culture. The maple leaves are beginning to turn red, beautiful! Still pious worship. It feels like the Longmen Grottoes. When I am here, I feel very peaceful and solemn. My eyes are full of red stars. If the weather is good, I can have vegetarian noodles for lunch at Qixia Mountain, which is not bad.
Qixia Mountain is mainly for viewing red leaves. However, the timing of my visit to Nanjing was not right this time, because of a drop in temperature, many maple leaves in the middle and upper parts of Qixia Mountain withered, but the view at the top is good, and you can see the river view. It is recommended to climb the top one hour before sunset when the best light is. But the tour bus here stops at 4 o'clock, yes, 4 o'clock! It takes more than an hour to walk down the mountain from the top of the mountain. Friends who want to come to Qixia Mountain to watch the sunset should think clearly and prepare enough physical strength. The best time to visit is at the end of November and the beginning of December, when the leaves are red, and visit Qixia Temple together.
Qixia Mountain is in the suburbs, and it takes about 2 hours to transfer by subway. I hesitated before deciding this point. I put it in the list because Qixia is one of the four major maple viewing resorts in China and it is the best time. I hurriedly ate soup dumplings opposite the Confucius Temple subway station in the morning, and then rushed to the subway. I read the online guide that said I needed to take a black car to Xianlin Square Station. We didn’t know where to find a black car when we arrived at Xianlin Square. Later, I asked a volunteer to take a stop back to Xuezhe Road Station and then transfer to bus No. 138 to Qixia Mountain Scenic Area. Ticket guide: In the peak season for viewing red leaves, the ticket price is 40 yuan/person. Discount tickets are half price. Before 6:30 in the morning, it is free to enter and exit here. Early birds can also choose to come to Qixia Mountain early. Not only is it free, but there is no one to disturb you to take pictures of the beautiful scenery. I didn’t see the maple leaves all over the mountain in Qixia Mountain as I imagined, and the ancient ginkgo trees at the entrance of the ancient temple had also fallen off. Fortunately, there was still residual snow to make up for it.
Emperor Qianlong visited the south of the Yangtze River six times and stayed at Mount Qixia five times. Perhaps the scenery must have been very beautiful when there was no smog. It must be said that Emperor Qianlong's calligraphy was really amazing.
As soon as I entered the first gate, I was shocked by the look of the Saint. There were natural scenery everywhere. When I saw the wisteria, I couldn't help but think of a song by SHE... The wisteria flowers are blooming, the vows of youth... Don't take the usual path. Traveling is to get lost, and getting lost is to meet something more beautiful. Looking at the Yangtze River from the top of the mountain, the magnificent river water, the Yangtze River Bridge across it, a handsome trip
It is very far from the city. We took a special car to drive from the hotel for 50 minutes. When we came back, we took a bus to the subway station and then to the special subway station. The key point is that the bus runs every 30 minutes...
There are sightseeing electric cars in the scenic area, which cost 10 yuan per trip. We walked the whole way. It happened that Nanjing had its first snow in 16 years the day before, and the red leaves were covered with snow. However, we went there in late November, and the red leaves were not yet completely red. I heard from other tourists that they had already turned completely red on the same day last year.
It takes about 3-4 hours to take photos and walk around. When you come down from the mountain, you can go to a vegetarian restaurant to eat a bowl of vegetarian noodles. We also ordered a three-cup chicken, which was good, but a little oily...
Two years ago, I read a travelogue on China-TravelNote and learned about Qixia Mountain. Since then, I have been thinking about seeing the scenery of "the forests are full of colors" with my own eyes. But I have no choice but to live in a city where you can still wear short-sleeved clothes in December. I have almost forgotten what autumn looks like. When I go to Nanjing again, I must see the beauty of the red maple trees in Qixia. I hope to see a different Jinling.
Warm reminder: A friend of mine happened to arrive at Qixia Mountain on the weekend. Because he left home late, the entire trip was postponed. He did not set out for the city until four or five in the afternoon. In the evening, Line 207 was full of people. If you don’t want to squeeze on the bus, you’d better leave home early.
It is quite far, suitable for autumn. Very suitable for autumn.
Qixia Mountain is the most popular place in Nanjing in mid-to-late November every year. Although we avoid weekends, there are still many tourists. The first thing you see after entering the park is the Rainbow Mirror Lake. Passing by the Peach Blossom Lake, the reflection of the pavilion in the middle of the lake is also very beautiful. The color of the maple leaves in the Red Leaf Valley is brighter than that at the foot of the mountain.
Tips:
The entire Qixia Mountain scenic area is quite large, and if you have the time and energy, you can spend a whole day there. The recommended route is Mingjing Lake - Qixia Temple - Peach Blossom Fan Pavilion - Peach Blossom Lake - Red Leaf Valley. The entire scenic area is full of people, and you need to find the right time to take pictures. It is recommended to raise the lens to take a close-up of the red leaves from a high place.
