The Heart of Jinling·Xinjiekou

As the "No. 1 business district in China", Xinjiekou is the key to unlocking Nanjing's vitality. The constant flow of people and traffic under the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen complements the 12 million RMB glass dome of Deji Plaza. The 24 subway exits connect to top shopping malls such as New Department Store and Central, where international luxury brands and time-honored brands coexist in a wonderful way.

Around the corner, you'll encounter the food scene in Kexiang: Jin Hongxing's amber roast duck drips with honey, and Jinling Snacks' sweet osmanthus candied taro shoots are filled with sweet fragrance. A ten-minute walk will take you to the Presidential Palace, which is made of blue bricks and gray tiles. At the end of the Wutong Tunnel, the Jiangning Weaving Museum hides brocade clothes. At night, standing in the Xuan Palace of Jinling Hotel and looking down, the city skyline outlines the double-sided embroidery of the Six Dynasties and the modern metropolis.

Because I live here, it's great to go out for a walk at night, eating and shopping. In fact, every first- and second-tier city has such a business district, but I prefer to go to the small alleys to see if there are any unique stores.

Nanjing Xinjiekou Pedestrian Street is actually a large business district, located next to the statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. It is bustling and lively, with convenient transportation and beautiful night views. It is a holy place for consumption and shopping, and the natural enemy of wallets, Alipay and bank cards.

I was at a "Duck Blood Vermicelli Soup" restaurant in Xinjiekou and wanted to ask for a few more cilantro, but the clerk said it was afternoon and there wasn't much cilantro left. I didn't give it to him. I was a little frustrated. There was a big lump in the noodles.

China's No. 1 shopping district can be said to be surrounded by shopping malls. Friends who love shopping malls, please use your legs to go shopping! PS: Deji Plaza should be the best plaza in this circle. If you don't like it, please don't criticize 0.0

China's No.1 shopping district with a variety of department stores and gourmet food

Business districts are living fossils of urban history, and also bearers and witnesses of urban development and change. Nanjing Xinjiekou, a famous business district with a century-old history, is the most densely populated and most effective in China.

Xinjiekou Square is its logo. Within an area of nearly one square kilometer, there are more than 30 large and medium-sized shopping malls and over a thousand businesses, with annual sales exceeding 30 billion yuan and an average daily passenger flow of more than 5 million.

There are delicious foods! The most down-to-earth Mingwalang, Wangfu Street Fangpo Cake Shop... diners are constantly coming, local delicacies such as pig belly noodles, famous snacks such as duck blood vermicelli soup, and Jinling's unique Yin's soup dumplings.

I took bus No. 2 and visited three shopping malls in a row.

There is an oden on the second floor of the department store. I highly recommend it. It's so delicious. I bought it for the first time and ate it. I've never eaten it before, so I went back and bought one. The Central Mall is full of big brands. The most regrettable thing is that this brand sells hats. I want to know what brand it is. If anyone knows, can you tell me? Hehe, it's still a very prosperous place

By Wang Xiaojiejie |

Isn't this place where girls go shopping? If you look at the young ladies, they will definitely go here. There are many people who have won without any comments. It's not good to have a few comments. But I still want to take a picture. The pixels of the old mobile phone are not good, but I can still take such an effect. It was a beautiful day. Well, that was me and that girl. I thought of her instantly. I am a straight man and it's very uncomfortable.

Xinjiekou is located in the central area of Nanjing. It was planned and constructed in the Republic of China period. It is now lined with tall buildings and has many shopping malls. It is full of lights, wine, women and people, and is the No. 1 business district in Nanjing. When you come here, you will feel that the scenery is completely different from what you have seen in Nanjing before, and you will rediscover the other side of this ancient capital with a very modern atmosphere.

Of course, friends who like shopping should not miss it. As such a prosperous commercial street, Xinjiekou is well connected. There are large shopping malls on each side that are enough for you to spend a long time strolling around, such as the famous Nanjing Central Shopping Mall and Deji Plaza. Various restaurants are also interspersed in the branches around Xinjiekou, so you can enjoy a good meal while playing. As for entertainment projects, Xinjiekou is naturally not lacking, such as modern photo printing and instant photo shooting, including major film and television theaters, and the earlier World Theater, etc., which provide everyone with more ways to relax and entertain. In short, Xinjiekou is also like Hong Kong and Shanghai, a very good shopping paradise. Little M is more interested in soldier toys and action figures. There is also a huge old British toy city, Hamleys, here with a wide variety of toys, from Barbie and Teddy that children like to Transformers and Star Wars that adults like. So friends who are also interested can come here to check it out, and maybe they can gain a lot.

Needless to say, public transportation here is very convenient, whether walking or riding a bicycle, or taking a taxi, bus, or subway, after all, it is in the center of the city. In short, being here, you can really feel that the rapidly developing city is constantly climbing towards a more advanced modern era.

P.S. All the pictures were taken by Xiao M himself in Xinjiekou ~ absolutely authentic!

Now some people say that Hexi is a new city, and it seems to be much more prosperous, but I don’t seem to like it very much.

It’s not that I hate it, I just don’t like the fact that all cities look the same.

Just like the old city of Suzhou, the government has strict regulations on the height and style of the floors to ensure that they do not lose the style of the ancient city.

In a place, there should be buildings that can generate life, life that can write stories, and stories that can nourish the city.

There are countless tall buildings in Xinjiekou, and people rush from one street lamp to another during rush hour.

I once stayed downstairs of the Golden Eagle for an hour waiting for a friend to have dinner after get off work.

I am extremely picky about cigarettes. I only like Zhongnanhai and it has to be 0.8. I don't even want to touch Caiba.

Apart from accepting cigarettes offered to me, close friends in daily life generally do not give me cigarettes, but they help me light cigarettes to save face as an unwritten rule.

I am also grateful to my friend for letting me wait for an hour, which allowed me to spend half an hour walking around the Golden Eagle and another half an hour observing the people living there.

Life makes things complicated for many people, but I still like to keep things simple.

I remember I burned 5 cigarettes in total that day.

The first cigarette took me around Deji, and I can still remember the dazed look on the security guard's face.

I followed a female employee into the elevator and clicked a floor aimlessly. My memory of it is still a little vague.

I can't quite remember whether I came down because I was bored or because I didn't have a card and couldn't go upstairs, but I didn't stay there for long and left.

Then we went to Golden Eagle. The goods downstairs of Golden Eagle can really be described as dazzling.

Maybe I was browsing in the wrong place, and most of what I saw were women's products. Compared to these, I preferred to chat with a male staff member at the door.

I remember the content of the conversation. He had just got off work but had to work overtime soon so he came out to buy a meal and also wanted to take a walk by himself and smoke a cigarette.

He said he was not from Nanjing and did not have much fondness for Nanjing. He had stayed in Nanjing for so many years from graduation to work and had not visited any tourist attractions.

He had a girlfriend, but because he was depressed for a while, his girlfriend's family asked her to go home and get married...

Such a story may be very melodramatic and seem to fit the plot, but for me, I still want to hear someone tell it to me.

I like to watch his attitude and expression when he tells stories, as if I had witnessed them with my own eyes.

Of course, there is no fixed template for life.

But today's novels and movies are becoming more and more familiar, as if people's lives are becoming too similar.

Many things are exactly the same, even the words and the way they wave their hands are so similar.

Is it life that creates movies or is it movies that change life?

Nanjing's most prosperous commercial center, with tall buildings and a high commercial density. Whether it is day or night, there is a constant flow of traffic. This is also the first time I choose to live here. I have always lived in Confucius Temple before. Because there are many shopping malls, shopping is very convenient. The underground floor of the shopping center is basically full of various delicacies and snacks, and there are various restaurants upstairs. Eating here is the first choice. The cinema and the arcade are next to each other. Accommodation is a little expensive. Generally speaking, the consumption level in Nanjing is relatively close to the people.

It’s not that Nanjing’s Xinjiekou is really that beautiful. It must be recommended just because it is the current city center of Nanjing. It’s hard for you not to go there, haha!

But the statue of Sun Yat-sen on the roundabout is worth a look. It was moved away two years ago, but was later moved back. I don’t know what the Nanjing government is up to...

In recent years, due to urban construction and industrial development, the smog in Nanjing has become increasingly serious. It is a rare opportunity that all factories stopped working for a month because of the Youth Olympic Games, and finally Nanjing has a blue sky again. It has returned to its true blue whale status. The long-awaited sunny day is refreshing to see.

Nanjing's Xinjiekou is a very prosperous place, and Nanjing people all know that the Xinjiekou subway station has many passages, and the chance of getting lost in the subway is quite high. The underground is like a maze, and it is easy for unfamiliar people to get lost. For those who don't believe it, I recommend you to try it. Although the signs indicate the direction, people have no sense of direction at all. It is very likely that you will get lost here. Therefore, the Xinjiekou subway station is definitely the best choice to test people's sense of direction! Here are some exits with major landmarks. Exit 1: Jianhua Building, Asia Plaza. Exit 3: Oriental Mall. Exit 5: Nanjing International Financial Center. Exit 6: Jinling Hotel. Exit 7: Deji Plaza. Exit 9: Nanjing Xinbai. Exit 24: Zhongshan East Road. Most women like to go shopping, but every time they go to Xinjiekou, they are particularly afraid of going through the underground passage. But sometimes they have to go through the underground passage to cross the road. Remember the landmarks I mentioned above, and it will be relatively easy to choose the exit.

There are many shops, snack bars, small department stores, clothes and shoes stores underground, where you can eat, drink and play. If you want to go shopping, Xinbai and Deji Plaza are both good places, where you can shop, eat and play, and you won't get bored even if you spend a whole day there.

Xinjiekou is located in the geographical center of Nanjing. Because of its relatively complete and systematic business district, it is known as "China's No. 1 Business District". Under this glamorous name, it is the pride of Nanjing people, but it is also a trouble for Nanjing people and tourists who come to Nanjing. Because of the large number of people, Xinjiekou subway station is crowded, and you usually have to wait for 1-2 trains to squeeze in. This is usually on weekdays. The number of people traveling during holidays increases, and the situation is even worse. However, Xinjiekou has a relatively rich shopping mall and food, so under the premise of protecting your own safety, eat, drink and have fun.

I've always wanted to try Fish Seasons Japanese Cuisine, and I finally came today. I got a number on my phone at about 11:04, and when I arrived at the door of the restaurant, there was already a long line. I waited outside for almost 45 minutes before I finally got in. Although there were three of us, we were given a private room for 6 people. There was a queue outside the window, which was a bit noisy.

When ordering food, we felt good at first. The waiter recommended many special dishes to us, and my dad was so generous as to order a big hairy crab. However, a small incident at the end of the meal made us not feel particularly happy.

Botan shrimp sashimi: The shrimp heads helped us make miso soup, which was very delicious, five stars! The shrimp meat was not elastic enough to bite, and the meat felt sticky.

Grilled scallops: Five stars! One side was slightly crispy, but the rest was still very tender meat. Thumbs up!

Beef tongue: Five stars! The beef tongue is juicy and not too salty. I also like the texture of beef tongue, so this dish is very much to my taste.

Foie gras sushi: five stars! Goose liver is actually quite greasy to eat alone, but it tastes so good when made into sushi.

Snowland Xijing Roast: This dish is just average. The cod is first marinated with seasoning and then grilled with miso. It tastes too salty for me. It is oily and the meat is delicate, so it tastes greasy.

Hairy crab: Half of it was salt-grilled, and the other half was minced garlic. The minced garlic tasted very strong, but my dad liked it. I prefer the salt-grilled version. The crab weighed about 2 pounds, and the price/performance ratio was not high. The preparation time was very long, and it took almost an hour to be served.

Matsutake Miso Soup: 4 stars! This soup is extremely fresh. Use the small lid on the pot and drink it like tea. I feel like it should have been served earlier.

Afterwards, I still felt like trying sea urchin, so I asked the waiter to bring the menu again. He recommended a smaller sea urchin gunkan. As expected, I didn’t particularly like the taste of sea urchin.

But then the waiter strongly recommended the specialty fish in their restaurant. I thought it was not much, so I tried it. Later I found out that the so-called specialty fish was grouper. After waiting for a while, I felt that I could not eat it anymore, so I asked the waiter to cancel the order. As a result, I was told that the fish had been killed. Shouldn't the weight of the fish be informed before killing it? The waiter explained that he was in a meeting or helping someone to pay the bill. Although the fish was not big, it was only 1.2 jin, but the rating and impression of the restaurant have dropped. Besides, I spent so much money, part of it is for good service and dining experience. I hope the store will pay attention to it in the future!

Mainly because I had plenty of time and nothing to do, I came here to play. Xinjiekou is the city center of Nanjing, mainly a commercial street. If you have time, you can come and take a look and feel the city atmosphere of Nanjing. We ate a durian mille-feuille here, mainly to take a break.

Xinjiekou is the most prosperous city center in Nanjing. With the statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen as its landmark, it is surrounded by major business circles. There are always busy traffic, crowds of people and bright lights here.

Xinjiekou is a paradise for shopping and food. For those who have just arrived in Nanjing, you certainly cannot miss the local food of Nanjing. What I recommend most is the Nanjing Dapaidang on the first floor of Deji Phase 1 in Xinjiekou!

There are many shopping malls in Xinjiekou, which is now the commercial center of Nanjing. People will choose this place for basic shopping because it is more concentrated!

The city center of Nanjing is full of tall buildings. I usually go to Popular Bookstore to read books.

It was past five o'clock, and it was already dark. I rushed to Xinjiekou, the "gathering place of handsome men and beautiful women" - Nanjing Business Center. I wandered around in the wide roads, the endless flow of people, and the crisscrossing underground tunnels. I felt a little tired and sat on the side of the road without the desire to get up. I understood what my colleague meant when he said that there was nothing good to go to in Shanghai, it was just a big city.

Xinjiekou is the city center of Nanjing and also a commercial shopping area. For high-end customers, you can go to Deji and Golden Eagle; for mid-range customers, you can go to Dongfang and Friendship; for the general public, you can go to Xinbai and Central; for young people, you can go to Dayang and Jinlun. The purchasing power is still very strong. On weekends, there are huge crowds of people, and you have to queue up to find food. Metro Lines 1# and 2# pass through here (with 24 exits). This place is also quite complicated, and it is managed by Gulou, Xuanwu, and Baixia Districts respectively.
