I have wanted to visit this cave for a long time, but I was unable to do so due to time constraints when I traveled to Jiangsu Province with my wife twice in 1992 and 2002. When I traveled to Zhejiang Province today, I specially arranged to pass by this place and visit it by the way. The scenery inside the cave is really ordinary, with poorly developed stalactites. The small area is divided into upper, middle, lower and water caves. In fact, the middle and upper caves are in the same hall. Go down to the lower cave through a small curved passage, and an underground river emerges. It takes more than 10 minutes to get out of the cave by boat. The ticket claims that it is one of the "three most amazing caves in the world", which is really exaggerated and does not live up to the name (it is not even ranked in the top three in China, let alone the world).

There aren't too many people on weekends, so you can see caves like this without going to Guilin. The caves are very beautiful inside and outside.

Shanjuan Cave is one of the three caves in Yixing and the earliest developed underground cave in China. It has not only strange stalactites, but also underground rivers and underground waterfalls, which are very spectacular. You can sail in the underground river, and the cave is colorful and worth seeing.

There are only 3 scenic spots on the mountain, and almost no one goes up the mountain. A warm reminder: you definitely don’t have to go up the mountain, and just visit the Shanjuan Cave.

Friendly reminder: The exit and entrance of the scenic area are not together. It took nearly 1 kilometer to get to the parking lot at the entrance to drive. It was really painful and tiring!

By ZETA |

Maybe I've seen it too much, and I think it's just like that, nothing special

By Little Crazy Ling |

Personally, I feel that 2 hours is enough to visit. The cave is quite unique. There is only one temple on the cable car up the mountain, and nothing else. I personally do not recommend going up the mountain. The cave needs to be explained to be understood. We took the tour guide and thought it was worth seeing.

By DrZou |

It is a good place to escape the heat in summer, but the facilities in the scenic area are not so exquisite!

2017.10.1The scenery in the cave is very unique. The route planning for the tour here is very reasonable. All the attractions have been experienced. It is very worthwhile to experience.

The most famous place in Yixing is Shanjuan Cave. The whole scenic area is generally OK, and the internal landscape is also very good, but there is a strange smell. It is still a good place to take children to play.

By Tina |

I took the ticket and went directly to the gate of the scenic area to take a photo with my son. The little kid was not interested in the scenery, but the flashlight. On the left side of the entrance was the Savage Valley, where there were savage performances and you could take photos with the savages for free. There was a small cave next to the Savage Valley. My son was very curious and kept turning on the flashlight several times, saying, "Mom, I seem to have seen a treasure." After the Savage Valley, the cave is just ahead. The stele with the characters "all diseases eliminated" was touched by my family many times. I hope everyone is healthy. After seeing the waterfall, we lined up to take the underground river cruise. We waited in line for about half an hour. There were more than a dozen people in a boat. They didn't use oars, but used their arm strength to row the boat directly with the help of the cave. Be careful not to bump your head.

It's not that beautiful, it's just a light show. I took a quick look and it was like revisiting the place after many years. After leaving the Shanjuan Cave area, I took the cable car up the mountain. There is a Shanquan Temple and a pottery bar on the mountain, which claims to allow tourists to experience making small purple clay handicrafts by themselves and take them away (well, I did take them away, but the process of making them by yourself is actually taking a piece of clay and pressing a zodiac clay cake in a mold, and the box costs 2 yuan/piece). I walked and stopped, and the air was very good. After wandering for a few hours, I finished visiting the Shanjuan Scenic Area.

Shanjuan Cave is the most interesting and charming place in the whole scenic area. The whole cave world is divided into three caves: upper, middle and lower.

By overtake |

The first time you enter a cave, you will feel very surprised. After entering, you will feel like you have entered the cave where the monsters in Journey to the West live.

The ticket price of more than 100 yuan includes rafting, cable car and grass skiing

It felt like the drifting time was very short. We just drifted across the water surface of the cave in the dark environment, and the crew pushed the boat with their hands.

By Le Shao |

The Beauty Lake in Shanjuan Cave is rippling with waves and surrounded by verdant scenery, which is a unique view. Moreover, there is a century-old tree before entering the cave, and the tour guide usually takes tourists to stop and explain. There is a well in front of the Wild Man Valley in Shanjuan Cave, which can really draw water, and the monkeys are having fun. Entering the cave is like entering an underground palace. The entrance is in the middle cave. The Lion and Elephant Arena in the middle cave is a natural stone hall with an area of 1,000 square meters. On the whole, Shanjuan Cave is only 2-3 hours to play. Of course, if you want to watch some performances and experience the cable car, it will take longer. If the recommended index is high, it is still worth going on a rainy day, especially if you have not seen the karst cave landscape.

By Le Shao |

The karst cave features and the Liang Zhu culture are worth a visit!

By Quiet |

For me who has never been to a cave, the scenery under the cave is really unique. Stalactites grow from the bottom to the top or extend from the top to the bottom, each with its own style, leaving it to your imagination. Coupled with the lighting effect, Shanjuan Cave under the camera is really a paradise on earth.

By A glimpse of the journey between fingers |

It is recommended to visit the cave first if it is raining. I chose the representative Shanjuan Cave. I went straight to the cave after I passed it. I didn’t stay too long because it was raining! What caught my eye was the way the boatman paddled the boat. He didn’t use poles, but climbed the rocks with his hands. Maybe I was surprised! Parking near Shanjuan Cave is recommended by scalpers. Park at the exit at the bottom of the mountain for free. It costs ten yuan to go to the entrance of the mountain, and it is just right to pick up the car at the exit when going down the mountain!

By China-TravelNote user 90515199 |

The package ticket for Shanjuan Cave is 110 yuan, and you can book it online for 100 yuan. It takes at least three hours to play in the whole scenic area. Shanjuan Cave has text instructions for tourists to swim in the middle cave first, then swim in the upper cave, and finally swim in the lower cave, then watch the waterfall and finally take a boat. The cave is very large and warm. Under the illumination of colorful lights, the cave also presents a colorful scene. The effect you see cannot be captured by mobile phones. The tour guide introduced that there is a scene in the 1987 version of Journey to the West, which was filmed near a pillar. There are green plants with lights and water. Chairman Jiang visited it and titled it the first waterfall in Jiangnan. The water cave is a bit gloomy. Entering the Crystal Palace is actually a water cave. When the boat is driving in the water cave, tourists have to lower their heads to cooperate, because some rock walls are very low, and they will hit the wall if they don’t lower their heads. The boatman in the water cave does not use tools to support the boat, but controls the boat by grasping the rock wall with his hands. He controls the boat at the stern first and then at the bow, which requires skills and strength.

By The "capital" flavor of wooden doors |

The cave is divided into four layers: upper, middle, lower and back. The cave is connected in all directions, like an underground maze. This underground palace is really a good place to cool off and escape the summer heat. The steam on my body dissipated completely and I shivered. The entrance is in the middle cave, which is a large natural stone hall named Lion and Elephant Field. Above the stone hall are various vivid stalactites, which are lifelike with the light. The route is from top to bottom. The scale of the upper cave is larger than that of the middle cave. There are strange "creatures" everywhere, which are lifelike. The cave is affected by water droplets all year round, cool and humid, and it is easy to slip underfoot. Especially the stone tablets of the upper and lower caves, like the small stairs in the Seventy-two Tenants, are narrow and slippery. If you are not careful, you will fall and get a disability certificate. Walk quickly through the lower cave and the back cave. The back cave is connected to the water cave, which is a stream underneath. The rushing water and the colorful lighting effect are breathtaking. The Crystal Palace is where the Dragon King stays. Visitors can take a boat to get here. Remember: the stone pillars are low when the boat is gliding, so be careful when you look up, and don't let the two Dragon King horns appear after you leave the cave, which would be embarrassing.

Shanjuan Cave actually has four caves, namely the upper, middle, lower cave and the water cave. The middle cave is empty with strange rocks standing all around; the temperature in the upper cave is so high that my glasses fogged up as soon as I went up there, and I thought there was heating; the lower cave is the highest, and there is a waterfall at the end, which doesn't drop 3,000 feet, but it can be considered "dropping 30 feet"; the water cave is connected to the back cave, and you need to take a boat to visit it. The boatman skillfully propped the boat left and right on the side wall of the cave, but we had to be careful not to hit our heads at all times, and we didn't even have time to take pictures. After a while, I saw the four big words "Suddenly Enlightened", and I knew that I had reached the end of the boat tour.

By Fluorescent Slow Walk |

I recommend Shanjuan Cave in Yixing. There is a text about visiting Shanjuan Cave in the elementary school textbook. I wanted to go there when I was a child. It is a well-established karst cave attraction. It is divided into 3 caves for viewing. It is interesting as in the text. The key is that it is too cool inside. The temperature outside is 35°C, and it is less than 20°C inside. The pool of water dripping from the stalactites for thousands of years. When you look up at the first cave, it looks like "wax elephants galloping on the plains and silver snakes dancing on the mountains". It is particularly important to note that Shanjuan Cave is a one-way tour and cannot be reversed. You cannot return to play for a second time.

By KiaraR |

I went there in the spring of 2016. It is one of the three caves in Yixing. I have not been to the other caves, so I cannot make a comparison. After entering here, you will first see some cave scenery under colorful lights, and then take a boat to the other end of the cave through the waterway. The waterway is very low, and the staff directly pushes the cave forward by hand, and it does not take long. Then take the cable car up the mountain and go down the slide at your own expense. There is no turning back the whole way. If you have been to those classic karst scenic spots, you will think this place is very ordinary. But it is also a good weekend trip in this area. The only drawback is that the exit and the entrance are less than 2km apart. If you drive by yourself, you have to walk back to the parking lot or take a local car.

By China-TravelNote users |

Shanjuan Cave has some origins with the story of Liang Zhu. There are two performances before 3 pm. We didn't catch up when we went in the afternoon, but we experienced the feeling of booking the whole place. The cave itself is divided into four parts: upper, middle, lower cave and water cave. The waterfall and water cave in the lower cave are the most amazing. The boat only travels a hundred meters, but the crew keeps talking about the scenery in the cave. The feeling of sudden enlightenment is better when approaching the cave entrance. In addition to the cave itself, Yeren Valley Snail Lake is good. You can skip the cable car and the temple on the mountain. The pottery bar only provides mud and molds.

By Many days |

I went there more than 10 years ago. I remember the scenery was very good, with mountains, water, caves and stories. It seemed that there was a place where Liang Zhu studied, but I don't know if it was true or not. You can take a zipline down the mountain, which is quite interesting. There are also many recreational facilities at the foot of the mountain. There should be more content now. I didn't have time to visit it again when I went to Yixing two years ago. I still want to go and see it if I have the chance.

Since Shanjuan Cave was developed earlier, it seems to be poorly managed. Anyway, there were not many tourists when we arrived there on Friday at noon. It is a relatively quiet and old attraction.

Shanjuan Cave in Yixing is located in Zhangzhu Town, Yixing. It was developed and built by Mr. Chu Nanqiang, a pioneer in the travel industry! Shanjuan Cave was named after the ancient sage Shanjuan who practiced Zen here. The cave is warm in winter and cool in summer, and it is a place where ancient people like to live! In addition to visiting the cave, Shanjuan Cave is also the hometown of Liang Zhu. The story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai and the introduction related to butterflies are also one of the themes of Shanjuan Cave! To visit the cave, you must first go to the middle cave. After visiting the lion and elephant field in the middle cave, go to the upper cave. The upper cave is the location of many TV dramas. The Yellow Wind Cave in the 1986 version of "Journey to the West" and the Tiger Hall in "Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy" were filmed here! The lower cave is an underground river cave, which requires a boat tour, which is a unique experience! In addition to the cave, there are also attractions such as Yingtai Academy, Shanquan Temple, Liang Zhu Garden, and a pottery bar where you can make pottery crafts by hand! To visit Shanjuan Cave, you can buy a joint ticket, which costs 110 yuan per person, or you can buy a single ticket, which costs 70 yuan to visit the cave and 25 yuan to go up and down the cable car. You can buy it as needed! To visit Shanjuan Cave, you can drive by yourself or take a bus. Bus 202 can go directly to the gate of the scenic area, and Bus 228 can take you to Shanjuan. Follow the instructions and walk about 1 kilometer to reach the gate! Shanjuan Cave is suitable for visiting on cloudy or overcast days. There is basically no shade outside the cave. Pay attention to summer heat on hot days. The cable car will not be open on rainy days, so you need to pay attention! Shanjuan Cave Scenic Area is in Shanjuan Town. There are various services in the town, including hotels, banks, and shops. It is very convenient! As the first of the famous "Three Caves in Yixing", Shanjuan Cave must be visited once to be considered as having been to Yixing!

I remember going there many years ago, the tour guide told me that there was an episode in Journey to the West, the Yellow Wind Monster Blowing Chili Powder, and his cave was filmed in Shanjuan Cave. There is a rare tree species in the scenic area, the small-leaved silver hazel.

I revisited the place in 2018 (after a lapse of nearly 20 years). The scenic area and its surroundings have expanded a lot, but the main part is still the cave. The cave is divided into three layers: upper, middle and lower. You can see the example in Figure 1. First look at the upper and middle caves, and then from the middle cave to the lower cave. There is an open-air waterfall area in the lower cave. After watching the waterfall, you can go in the opposite direction to take a cruise on the underground river of the cave (about 150 meters long). After getting off the boat, you will exit the cave from the other side of the mountain. After exiting the cave, you will reach the back half of the scenic area, which is mainly Liang Zhu Courtyard, Zhu Yingtai Study and other places. There are certain historical allusions, the courtyard is fresh, there are also cableways to go up the mountain, slides to go down the mountain, and there is a pond at the gate with nice scenery. It was just right for taking pictures in the afternoon. The exit is 500 meters away from the entrance. You have to walk to the parking lot to pick up the car, but local businessmen can take you to the parking lot for a fee.

It is a famous cave in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. It is much larger than Zhanggong Cave. The hall is very high. Under the light, the rocks are jagged and colorful. You have to take a boat to walk through a narrow waterway. There is a hole on the waterway. The boatman said that it can pass through Malaysia and Singapore.

The tickets bought in China-TravelNote are 10-20 yuan cheaper than at the counter. The people in Yixing are very easy-going. When we encountered some problems during ticket checking, they explained to us carefully and helped us solve the problem. It is relatively small inside, very cool, a little humid, and the lighting is very beautiful.

Shanjuan Cave is quite large, with a multi-layered three-dimensional structure. You can clearly feel the temperature difference between the upper and lower caves. It is also nice to take a boat to the water cave, but it is only more than 100 meters long. You have to lower your head when the boat is sailing, otherwise it is easy to hit the rock wall.

The 100 yuan ticket price is a bit expensive. Ctrip booked it in advance for 90 yuan. The cave is a feature of Yixing, but it is really not interesting. There is nothing to see. I was scared by the shaking of the boat when I passed the lower cave. I didn't pay attention to anything. The boat glided for more than 100 meters. It came out quickly.

Shanjuan Cave is a famous limestone cave, the first of the "three wonders" of Yixing. Shanjuan Cave is located on Luoyan Mountain in Zhuling Village, about 25 kilometers southwest of Yixing City. It covers an area of about 5,000 square meters and is about 800 meters long. The whole cave is composed of four caves: upper, middle, lower and back. The caves are strange and connected. The most strange ones are the lower cave and the water cave. The water cave is 120 meters long. Tourists often enjoy boating in the cave.

As soon as we entered the scenic area, we felt the scenery was beautiful. The route was designed to pass through the Savage Valley. It is said that there are scheduled performances in this place, but it feels quite fake when there is no performance! After all, we came to visit the most primitive style of nature. The natural scenery in Shanjuan Cave is the most attractive place for us. The use of lights makes people increase the psychedelic effect. The whole cave is not big, but it is also quite unique. The last section is to take a boat out, and there is also a boatman's explanation, which is even more interesting!

There are no more attractions to see after exiting the cave. The huge place is just a park. You can see the old-style buildings and visit the newly built attractions. You don't need to take the small cable car next to it. Compared with the bamboo sea, this place is nothing! Overall, the environment here is quite sober and comfortable, and it is worth a visit!

The main attraction is the cave with three floors, and you can sail inside, which is amazing. The free guide in the cave gives a very detailed explanation. It is really hard to notice and imagine the patterns on the stones without explanation. Because it was not a holiday when I went there, I felt like a VIP. There is no need to queue in the park, and there are few people. If you drive by yourself or take bus 202 from the city, please note that the exit and entrance are not together, and you have to turn to a small road at the exit to walk back to the entrance.

I don't recommend it, but since I'm in Yixing and there's nowhere else to go, I might as well go for a walk. Driving time: 3-4 hours on Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway without traffic jams

Tickets: 110 ticket includes tickets for the ropeway up and down or the slide down

Attractions: Savage Valley

The cave is all about imagination.

It's OK to ride for a few minutes

Pottery bar has mold

You can also walk on the ropeway within 15 minutes.

Cableway downhill

It's over, that's it.

It doesn't matter if you buy a flashlight from the door or not. You can go into the cave with a tour group, since you can't see anything anyway.

Don't trust anyone who sells ceramics! Just follow the route.

I went there on the sixth day of the Chinese New Year. The ticket was a combined ticket, which included Shanjuan Cave, the upper and lower cableways or slides, Liangzhu Pavilion, and the Ceramics Museum. Enter the scenic area and climb the steps to Shanjuan Cave. The whole cave is divided into three layers: upper, middle, and lower. First, visit the upper cave and the middle cave. The cave is not very big and a little humid. The upper cave is hotter and the middle cave is cooler. When you get to the lower cave, it feels like two seasons. You have to take a boat to visit the lower cave. Everyone lined up for more than 20 minutes and saw the Crystal Palace. Each boat has more than 10 people. The boatman relies on his hands to support the cave wall to move forward. Sometimes he needs to lean over to walk through. The 10-minute tour will soon reach the entrance of the cave. You must call an interpreter to visit the cave, and it will feel much better. Going further, you can take the cableway up the mountain. The mountain is not high. There is a temple on the mountain. The main purpose of climbing up the mountain is to experience the slide down the mountain. The slide is quite interesting. It is said that the whole journey is more than 400 meters. I wore protective pants and bought gloves. The family of three slid down one after another. My son played and said he wanted to slide again.

The cave is old. When you enter from the middle cave, there is not much water in the middle cave, which is relatively dry. Going upstairs to the upper cave, it is very magical that the temperature has risen by more than ten degrees. It is really warm in winter and cool in summer. The temperature in winter is more than 20 degrees, just like turning on the air conditioner. Then go down to the lower cave and see the underground river with fast-flowing water. Finally, walk to the water cave, the most distinctive part, and take a boat out of the cave. The water in the underground river varies from about 1 to 5 meters, and the width is just enough for a wooden boat. It is a very traditional wooden boat. The boatman will deliberately shake it, which is a bit scary.

Another special feature is the slide after going up the mountain. It is so exciting to slide down from the top of the mountain in one breath! I didn’t expect that Shanjuan Cave has such a project.

Shanjuan Scenic Area is the birthplace of Liang Zhu culture in Yixing. There are many research institutions on Liang Zhu culture in China. The "Huaxia Liang Zhu Culture Research Association" is located in Shanjuan Scenic Area. On April 13, more than 40 members of the Huaxia Liang Zhu Research Association distributed in counties and cities across the province gathered in Shanjuan Cave, an AAAA-level tourist attraction, to read papers on new research results on Liang Zhu culture. Shanjuan Cave in Yixing is located in Luoyan Mountain, 25 kilometers southwest of Yixing City. The entire cave covers an area of 5,000 square meters, with upper cave, middle cave, lower cave and water cave. Shanjuan Cave is beautiful and attractive because of its natural beauty, and it is gorgeous and dazzling because of the profound cultural background of Shanjuan Scenic Area. The middle cave is also called the front cave, the entrance of Shanjuan Cave. There is a huge stalactite at the entrance of the middle cave, which is more than 7 meters high, called "Dizhu Peak", also known as "Xiao Xumi Mountain". The middle cave is a natural stone hall, tall, deep, spacious and magnificent. On both sides of the stone hall are huge rocks shaped like blue lions and white elephants, so the middle cave is also called "Lion and Elephant Field". The four characters "Lion and Elephant Field" were written by Lv Fengzi of Danyang. The rock wall is also engraved with the couplet "Crouching Tiger Xumi at the entrance of the cave, blue lion and white elephant embrace the lotus platform". The upper cave is called "Cloud and Mist Field", also known as "Cloud Cave". The upper cave has rich landscapes, including "Reflected Lotus", "Eternal Plum", "Panda House" and other attractions. The "Black Dragon Spits Water" and "Golden Bird Stands Alone" landscapes are traces of seawater scouring in those days, providing evidence for the study of the formation of Shanjuan Cave. The wonder of the upper cave lies in the "cloud mouth". A huge rock blocks the convective air in the cave, causing a temperature difference between the upper cave and the middle cave, so the temperature of the upper cave is kept at about 23 degrees Celsius all year round. Due to the temperature and water vapor, the upper cave is shrouded in clouds and mist. Watching the upper cave is like being in heaven and earth, the fairyland of desire. The rock passage connecting the middle cave and the lower cave is called "Pan Ladder", which was dug by humans in those days and has 105 steps in total. Due to the reflection of the sound of water rushing down the lower cave, the laughter of tourists and the sound of wind, you can hear different sounds at the turns of each layer of the passage. From top to bottom, through the "Golden Drum", "Wind and Thunder", "Ten Thousand Horses" and other gates, visitors seem to be in a scene of golden drums, wind and thunder, and galloping horses.

I went there on May Day. There were so many people that I had to wait in line for almost an hour to get on a boat, but it was still exciting. It was also quite novel to see the cave for the first time. I don't know if it is warm in winter and cool in summer, but it is indeed cool inside.

For other activities, we went to see the wild man performance, which was OK. There were a lot of people in the pottery bar, and you had to spend money to buy a mirror frame to take away. My husband said that it would make his hands dirty, so he didn't play~ We went to the Biyi Pavilion of Liang Zhu, which was quite romantic~

In general, buying tickets at the door is a rip-off, forcing you to buy other items together, but you can just buy a 70 yuan hole

Shanjuan Cave is worth visiting. The underground river is very unique. But it is too humid.

As a representative of Yixing karst caves, this one is really worth a visit. It should be the largest one among all the karst caves. It is said that Journey to the West was filmed here. You have to take a boat out of the cave. It is a very special experience. I highly recommend it! The whole scenic area is very large, and there are also Liang Zhu's hometown and so on. It feels beautiful just looking down from any tower on the mountain!

The cave is divided into three caves. You can take a boat in the lower cave, which is very fun. It is recommended that you climb up to the top of the mountain. It takes no more than 30 minutes to reach the top. Then you can choose to go down the mountain by cable car or slide.

The design of the scenic spot is very user-friendly. The parking lot is manned and orderly. The surrounding environment is clean and green. You will feel refreshed after getting out of the car.

Shanjuantong is one of the three most amazing caves in the world. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers, and the scenery is very beautiful.

Entering the cave is like entering an underground palace. The entrance is in the middle cave. The Lion and Elephant Square in the middle cave is a natural stone hall with an area of 1,000 square meters. A stalactite stalagmite as high as 7 meters stands at the entrance of the cave, named Dizhu Peak.

The entire cave is composed of four caves: upper, middle, lower and back. Each cave is strange and interconnected. Generally, you enter the middle cave first, then the upper cave entrance, and then walk up a very steep staircase to enter the lower cave, where you can also see a mountain spring waterfall.

Various beautiful stalactites that are tens of thousands of years old.

On the way to the water cave... Water drops were dripping on my face and hair from time to time. The tour guide next to me said that being dripped by water is a blessing.

There are student tickets and adult tickets. I bought them directly. I don't know if there are group tickets online. The former residence of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai is worth a visit. There is a water cave inside. There is a section of the journey where you have to take a boat by hand. There are no oars. There are a few moments in the cave that are quite thrilling.

There is an inland river where you can take a boat tour. It feels good.

After exiting the cave, you can walk to Liangzhu Park (Yingtai Academy). Then walk along the road to the cable car. Next to the cable car boarding point is the pottery bar. We entered with our tickets and each of us took a piece of purple clay. There are many templates in the pottery bar. Fill the gaps in the template with purple clay to make a piece of decorative clay. The templates are made of the twelve zodiac signs and coin patterns.

After leaving Taoba, we took the cable car to the temple on the top of the mountain. The cable car journey is not long, but you can still have a panoramic view of the scenery of Shanjuan Town, Yixing.

When we went down the mountain, we chose the slide. We put on a piece of cloth to prevent our pants from being worn out, put on gloves, and slid down the mountain like a slide. It was a little bit exciting, but very fun, especially when we went around the bends. It was my first time to ride it, and I thought it was really fun.

You can feel the hidden thunder and lightning, the distant waves, the sound of drums and the galloping of thousands of horses. There are more fantastic scenes created by stalactites, including emerald green grapes, orange-yellow Buddha's hands, white and tender lotus roots, flapping white cranes, towering stone pines, plum blossom screens, etc., all in various shapes and forms, and beautiful beyond words. The wonders of Shanjuan are mainly the lower cave and the water cave.

It feels good to take a boat tour in the cave

There is a small hill in the scenic area. You can take the cable car when going up and the slide when coming down, which are all included in the ticket.

We finished touring the whole scenic area in less than two hours, and once again lamented that the ticket price was not worth it.

As soon as we entered the scenic area, the scenery was very nice and lush, and the temperature suddenly felt a few degrees lower than outside.

Entering the cave, the light was dim, and I didn't notice what was inside. The ground was wet and slippery, and there were water drops on the stone walls, which would drip down from time to time and make my skin feel cool. There was also a slight breeze in the cave, so it was still a good place to escape the heat in summer, but the cave was narrow and not suitable for staying for a long time.

Shanjuan Cave is well-known. It is said on the Internet that it is one of the three most amazing caves in the world. I don't know if it is an exaggeration. In terms of area and development level, it is indeed a step up from Linggu Cave. The cave is located in the belly of the mountain. It is divided into four caves: upper, middle, lower and water. The design of the tour path is also relatively reasonable. Each area has its own characteristics and the distinction is relatively obvious. It is unlikely that you will feel confused after a round. The entire scenic area is divided into the inside and outside of the cave. The inside of the cave is the focus, while the outside of the cave is the main Liangzhu brand. You can enter Shanjuan Cave not far from the entrance of the scenic area.

The entrance to Shanjuan Cave is the Middle Cave. The stone pillar at the entrance is called Dizhu Peak. It is said that it took tens of thousands of years to form and is still growing at a rate of one centimeter every few decades. The Middle Cave is also called the Lion and Elephant Field, named after the stones on both sides that look like lions and elephants. My imagination is not very good, so I can't see all the "similarities" in the two caves, so I can only look at the words directly.

After walking for a while in the middle cave, there is a fork. Going up is the upper cave. The temperature in the upper cave is maintained at around 23 degrees all year round, and the humidity seems to be quite high. When walking from the cooler middle cave to the upper cave, a layer of mist immediately appeared on the camera lens, so the first photo became foggy. The middle cave is also called the cloud and fog field.

Go back to the middle cave and take another road. After a downward winding staircase, you will reach the lower cave. The lower cave and the water cave have contributed greatly to the fame of Shanjuan Cave. The "waterfall" at the entrance of the lower cave (let's call it a waterfall) and the underground river in the water cave make Shanjuan Cave different from other caves and more distinctive.

Continue walking along the waterfall and you will see a pier, which is the water cave where the essence of Shanjuan Cave is located. You need to take a boat to visit the water cave. The deepest part of the water can reach 5 meters, and you need to sit down and lower your head to pass through the lowest part of the cave. It feels very novel to sail in the narrow underground waterway and watch the oars paddling in the water and sometimes above your head.

The scenery is nice, and it makes A-mei feel silly

The savage performance was nothing more than roaring and jumping, so after watching for a while we continued walking forward. We came here to play on the underground bamboo raft, but we still have to applaud the performers for their hard work.

Due to insufficient equipment and a lot of group tours that day, the photos taken inside the cave were not good. However, it was also because of those groups that my sister and I listened to a lot of guides' introductions. Otherwise, it would be difficult to see the scenery inside the cave, haha

I heard that there is a pottery bar in Shanjuan Cave where you can make your own pottery. I was very happy, but in the end... alas, it's just a piece of clay and a template. . Now that I'm here, I'll make my own zodiac sign as a souvenir.

The pottery bar is a rip-off. It costs 25 dollars to carve a piece of clay in a template and put it in a frame. It's really not worth it. The salesperson there kept suggesting to buy their ready-made ones, but I didn't want it, thinking that at least I carved it myself, so it still has meaning. As a result, I have to take the ones I carved back to dry, and they just squeezed a lump of glue to stick on the frame. Oh... I regret it. The result of not drying it is that when I made the slide later, it also slid down and slipped out of the frame.

The weather originally said it would rain, but it turned out to be quite nice the whole day. It was cloudy and the air was very good. It was like a natural oxygen bar!

As soon as I stepped in, I was attracted by these tall bamboo shoots, but later I found that they were really rare and there were them everywhere on the whole mountain!

It’s best to find a tour guide there, because they don’t describe many of the images in the cave, and you don’t know what to see.

When I arrived at Shanjuan Cave, I bought the tickets I had booked online at the ticket center (80 yuan/person). It was quite convenient to buy tickets with the serial number sent by the city.

Savage Valley, there are performances every hour, it's pretty good

How young we were when we went to Shanjuan Cave! We were all pointing out the mountains and rivers, writing inspiring words, full of scholarly vigor and ambition... I can't forget the good times, the beautiful scenery, and the beautiful friendship!

Shanjuan Cave includes the upper cave, middle cave, lower cave and water cave. You can see them all by following the signboards of the scenic spot, and finally take a boat out of the water cave. The whole cave is OK. In fact, the stalactite shape is very good, but the lighting is not well done. It feels not as good as the one in Guilin Ludiyan Cave. It is quite good to take a boat to visit the water cave, but it is a bit short. It ends before you can see enough. In addition to the cave, there are some artificial attractions. There are too many people, and it is crowded to take a cable car.

The attractions mentioned in the above itinerary
