Most of the villages in Wuyuan are built along the river, and Likeng is no exception. However, the waterway in Likeng is very narrow, and can probably only be called a stream. The road at the head of Likeng village is quite long. Following the stream and passing through the memorial archway, you will see a large field of rapeseed flowers. Although it is flat land, it is very easy to take pictures because the road we walked on is higher than the flower fields.

The river in Likeng has the characteristics of Wuyuan, with bamboo or stone bridges in front of every house, which are quite dense. The bridge decks of these bridges are basically parallel to the water surface, instead of protruding stone bridges like those in the Jiangnan water towns.

My previous impression of Wuyuan was the rape flowers all over the mountains, and I never thought there was an ancient town with small bridges and flowing water. But to be honest, if you have been to too many ancient towns, Likeng will not evoke your sense of novelty.

Here I will mainly talk about the snacks in Likeng. I bought "filial mother fruit" for breakfast at XX specialty snack shop (I don't remember the specific name). The skin is crystal clear and chewy, and the filling seems to be tofu skin and mushrooms. 20 yuan for 12 pieces, or you can buy half a portion. There is also a green dumpling called Qingming fruit, 5 yuan for 3 pieces, with various fillings: mushrooms and vegetables, pickled vegetables, shredded radish, sesame candy. Then there are the "black plums" and "ice candies" that can be seen everywhere here. I saw that the ice candy looked cute, so I bought one out of curiosity (6 yuan). I took a bite and almost made my newly filled tooth sour... After chewing it carefully, it was clearly a plum!!! As for the black plum, it was black, smooth and plump. I tasted one and found that the flesh was firm, crisp and sweet, so I happily bought a pound (20 yuan per pound in Likeng, 15 yuan per pound in Xiaoqi). I was still curious, so I searched for black plums online. I saw a title like "What kind of fruit are the black plums that can be seen everywhere in the ancient town?" I went in and saw that unscrupulous vendors picked black grapes one by one, dyed and waxed them, and turned them into "black plums". The real black plums are native to Brazil, with very little production, and cost more than 100 yuan per pound! This was a big shock, and I quickly threw away the unfinished ones... It is said that the merchants in tourist attractions now really firmly grasp the tourists' curiosity to try new things!!!

Last advice: Don't go to Wangjinglou to eat the tofu paste and XX rice cake. They are really unpalatable (･᷄ὢ･᷅ )

Likeng has become very commercialized. Compared with the original flavor of Qingyuan Village, the scenery here is covered by business, especially the temple after entering. Don't go in to worship if you have nothing to do. It's a false illusion that it's free. There will be a fee. Of course, if you believe in Buddhism, it doesn't matter. I think only the main picture is worth looking at. The following pictures are Qingyuan and Jiangling. Likeng and Xiaoqi are the two more uncomfortable attractions in the pass.

The first time I went to Wuyuan was when I was in college, I think it was the second semester of my freshman year, 2015? There was a girl from Wuyuan living in my dormitory, so I saved a lot of money on the tour guide fee. The girl from Wuyuan told us that it would be much cheaper for local people to stay in hotels in Wuyuan during the tourist season, but it would cost a lot for tourists. The same goes for taxis. Every time I travel, I have a tight schedule, only one day, so I chose Likeng, which is relatively close, based on the principle of proximity. Before I came to Wuyuan, I was thinking about the Hui-style architecture, local customs and people of Wuyuan. Later, the architecture was still the same, but more commercialized. I felt a little disappointed, and I still prefer to walk in an empty alley and find a teahouse to have a cup of tea.

Although the commercial atmosphere in Likeng is very strong now, it is the same in ancient towns all over the country. Once you get used to it, you should just look at the architecture. After all, it is the one that maintains its value forever! Let me say this again. If you stay in Likeng, you can ask the owner of the B&B to take you in later. You can drive into the scenic area after 6 o'clock. Of course, you must have a ticket! ! ! They will check it, but during the day, you can't enter and can only park in the scenic area parking lot, which is still 5 yuan! ! Affordable~~ It is recommended to call the store in advance to reserve a spot.

Personally, I feel that Likeng is much more beautiful at night than during the day! ! ! !

It was already 8 o'clock in the morning when I woke up. There was a sound of rain outside the window. I looked out the window and saw the ancient village in the rain. The white walls and black tiles were scattered and uneven. The bluestone roads were crisscrossed, and a beautiful picture of small bridges, flowing water, and houses appeared in front of me. When you are tired, you can go to the roadside teahouse, sit down to drink tea, chat, and watch the misty rain in Jiangnan. The commercial street of Likeng is similar to that of Lijiang and Miaosai, but there are fewer shops and the business format is more single. There is a big camphor tree at the entrance of the village, which is also the filming location of the movie "Youth".

There are Hui-style houses on both sides of the river, and the river is built with stone arch bridges and wooden bridges with unique characteristics.

The stream flows around the village, adding vitality to Likeng. Residents basically wash clothes and vegetables directly in the stream at the doorstep. Blooming flowers are placed at the doorstep of each household, as if telling people that this is a city of spring all year round.

I heard from a friend that Likeng is a heavily commercialized village. I don't know if it's because we took a remote route or for some other reason, but I feel that Likeng is more commercialized than I thought, at least not like the Old Town of Lijiang, which has almost completely lost its authenticity. Of course, it's best to go to these must-see attractions early, so that you can feel the tranquility here before the tour groups arrive. We bought a big pass, which includes 14 attractions and costs 210 yuan. The student ticket is half price, 105 yuan. Of course, you can also buy a single ticket separately. Basically, the entrance fee to the scenic spot is 60 yuan. If you plan to visit more scenic spots, it is recommended to buy a pass. The pass is valid for 5 days. After walking through the archway of Likeng, a large field comes into view. It must be beautiful when sowing in spring and in summer. There is an elevated road in the distance. Trains will pass by from time to time. There is a rural atmosphere. There will be many villagers setting up stalls in the village, selling various handicrafts, mostly various wooden products, and the price is still very affordable. In the morning, there are not many people in the village, small bridges and flowing water, and groups of students from the Academy of Fine Arts who come here to sketch. They sit on the stone steps, facing the ancient village of Huizhou in the distance, carefully depicting, they paint the scenery, but they don’t know that they have become the scenery in our eyes. There are many specialty shops in Likeng, some selling special snacks, some selling postcards, and some selling oil-paper umbrellas.

Just for Likeng and Jiangwan, which I have visited, I can't say that there is anything wrong with them. It's still good to relax. It's just that there are not many highlights, and it's difficult to have their own amazing characteristics. In the end, it's easy to make people sigh: Ancient towns are actually the same! Likeng and Jiangwan are very well rated among the 11 joint ticket ancient villages on the Internet. Likeng's surname is Li, and Jiangwan's surname is Jiang. They are known as villages established by two major farming and reading families. But the celebrities announced in them are all Jinshi, Zhuangyuan, and Wuzhuangyuan in which year. The contribution they have made is to serve as officials. Because of my ignorance, I haven't heard of any of them. What aroused my interest is the large field of rapeseed flowers at the entrance of Likeng Village, but the flowering period has passed, and only rapeseed is left. If you come at the right time, the photos taken there should be able to be produced.

Therefore, we cannot say that the cultural presentation of Wuyuan is not worthy of its name, but it depends on who you compare it with. The real center of Hui culture is in today's Huangshan. If you take Hongcun, Chengkan, Xidi and other ancient villages in Huangshan, the ancient villages of Wuyuan will be instantly overshadowed. A big factor in Wuyuan's current tourism status is the result of the unremitting efforts of the Shangrao Municipal Government.

This is indeed a bit over-commercialized, like Hongcun. Jiangwan and Xidi both have a large number of living areas, but Likeng is full of commerce, and only in remote corners can you escape the festive atmosphere.

A good scenic spot is not one without business, but one that allows choice, just like life.

The entrance is not very far, it is recommended to walk in, and then take an electric car or bamboo raft when you come out.

Basically, just walk along the commercial district.

As the first attraction on the way to Wuyuan, although it is worthy of its name and is constantly promoted, it still left me with a good first impression of Wuyuan. It feels very good to visit the streamside town in order. Of course, it is also a good experience for us to go in and out and walk backwards. Although it is a bit expensive to buy some drinks and food, it can at least meet the needs. Finally, a reminder: you don’t need to take the battery car and bamboo raft at the door. It’s very fast to walk in and the scenery along the way is also good. In addition, you can go against the one-way road when you leave Likeng. I don’t take pictures. I just use the one-way road for peak traffic control.

The weather was bad and there were not many people in Likeng, which made the shouting in the shops even louder. After so many years of development, Likeng has become very commercial.

Away from the commercial main street, the alleys of Likeng are more charming. The bluestone road is wet, and the moss on both sides is even greener. The ancient houses with white walls and black tiles, faded red lanterns, and gurgling water all present a gentle Huizhou scenery.

I personally think that Likeng is a bit dirty and messy compared to the water towns in Jiangnan. It only takes half an hour to walk around. The scenery is very average. The night view is not as good as expected.

The scenic area is messy and crowded.

Likeng is not very big, and the best photography spots are all concentrated around Shuanglong Inn/Chaji Wine Shop/Guangming Tea House.

Likeng is actually also a Huizhou-style building complex, but unlike Hongcun and Xidi Huizhou Ancient City, the village has a well-developed water system. The whole village is built along the water, and there are many small bridges in the village. When we went there, it was the off-season for tourism, and there were not many tourists. When the rape flowers bloom in March every year, this quiet little village will be flooded with people. We didn't stay for long. We walked around the small shop, looked at the wooden combs and inkstones, drank a cup of delicious sour plum soup, and ate a delicious farm meal. That was enough.

It is heavily commercialized, but has different scenery: small bridges, flowing water, and houses. However, it is nothing compared to Zhouzhuang!

It would be better to stay in the scenic area for one night. The small village is beautiful from any angle, and the farmhouse dishes are delicious!

There is a small river under the memorial archway of Likeng, with many small boats floating on the river. When the boatman sees someone coming, he will try his best to persuade you to take the boat into the village. A boat can take 6 people for 50 yuan, which seems to be an acceptable price. Fortunately, we didn't make the deal because we paid 10 yuan more. Because the distance from the place where you take the boat to the village gate is only less than 500 meters. Likeng is a typical Huizhou style of architecture. Likeng is actually not big, just a few small streets, and it took 2 hours to walk around.

In addition to Huangling, I finally saw a few tourists here. Where there are many tourists, commercialization is bound to be strong. I believe it must be very lively here during the peak season.

I wanted to buy some souvenirs, but many shops were closed.

There is a sightseeing bus when you enter Likeng. The journey is not long, so you don’t need to take it if you are not in a hurry.

Likeng is actually not very big, and I finished the tour quickly.

At five o'clock, more and more people came

Likeng has preserved hundreds of years of Ming and Qing Dynasty ancient residential buildings, typical Huizhou architecture. A flowing river divides the village into two parts, east and west. The river is so clear that you can see the bottom. You can't see the water flowing, but you can hear the sound of rushing water from time to time. If you follow the river upstream, you can see water rushing down from a high place. Further ahead are high mountains and dense forests, and you can't find the source.

The people living here wash clothes, vegetables, bamboo strips, and mops in the river...

It turns out that these life scenes that I have only seen in pictures are actually appearing before my eyes. They are intimate and natural, but still a little shocking.

Most of the houses along the river have been converted into shops selling a variety of local specialties, chrysanthemum tea, dried fruits, musical instruments, paper umbrellas, and various wooden products.

In addition to the conventional traditional craftsmanship, the most eye-catching of these wooden products are the various handicrafts with unique shapes and exquisite carvings.

I found a boxwood sculpture of a flying fairy playing the pipa in a shop specializing in wood carvings on the old street. The technique was delicate and the depiction was vivid. Even the ribbon patterns on the fairy's body were carved clearly. I began to stare at it, my feet fixed in place, unwilling to move.

Night falls over the small village. Strings of red lanterns shine high in front of the shops. The noisy and hot day is replaced by a quiet and peaceful night. The breeze on the river is cool, brushing across my cheeks and my heart on this moonlit night...

There is a paid shuttle bus from the entrance to the scenic spot. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the scenic spot (young people). If you have enough time, you can walk around. It takes no more than an hour to walk around the scenic spot. The scenery is more interesting for photography enthusiasts and sketching friends. For ordinary tourists, taking a few photos is enough, and 1 hour is more than enough. It is said that the night view is good. Red lanterns are hung in strings, reflecting on the water surface. It's a pity that the water quality of the river does not look clear, although residents also wash vegetables and dishes. There is nothing special about shopping. There are more camphor wood products, and the other is the royal chrysanthemum that is everywhere in Wuyuan.

It is a village, Likeng Village, which is very representative of the people living by the small bridges and flowing water. The village has a strong atmosphere of life and has not been completely commercialized.

Impression of Likeng. Likeng is an ancient village mainly inhabited by people with the surname Li. The most interesting thing about the whole village is the Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings with black tiles, gray walls and horse head walls along the river. This is a practice base for art sketching of well-known domestic universities.

The most famous person in Likeng is Li Zhicheng, a military scholar in the third year of Qiandao in the Southern Song Dynasty (1166 AD).

Li Zhicheng was poor when he was young, but he never let life get him by and continued to study hard. Later, because tigers were common in his village, he also learned martial arts to protect the people. At that time, the Jin army invaded the south, and the court was worried about it. With the guidance of his fellow villagers, he learned the eighteen martial arts. After the provincial examination, he passed the military examination.

In 1166 AD, he went to Beijing to take the examination for the title of Military Scholar and was admitted in the joint examination.

Song Xiaozong ordered him to represent the court to publicize the court's will to the local areas, appease the people, inspect officials, interview the people, redress their grievances, and deal with matters such as military farming.

Likeng is not very big, and it is not much different from many ancient towns, except that the style is different.

I stayed at Li's Inn after reading Dianping.com. The accommodation was not expensive and was clean and hygienic. The food was a little expensive, but I didn't mind that when traveling.

The whole Likeng feels good, this is the best feeling when traveling in Wuyuan

Likeng Visitor Center, I was really surprised if I didn't see the word "Li" in the name. Since I bought a package ticket to Wuyuan, this is the first stop. It feels like a small bridge with flowing water and people's homes. It has a Jiangnan style and a little sentiment.

Likeng has the feeling of Wuzhen, Xitang and Zhouzhuang. The village is surrounded by mountains, with beautiful scenery and picturesque scenery. The village is full of ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the houses are built along the stream and leaning against the mountain, with white walls and black tiles, scattered and scattered; the streets and alleys in the village are connected by streams, with nine bends and ten turns; the bluestone slabs are crisscrossed, and dozens of stream bridges made of stone, wood and brick connect the two sides. There are also scenic spots such as two clear streams, willow tablets flying jade, double bridges, Jiaoquan soaking the moon, Taoist bells, and Xianqiao Yuxiu, which have constructed a beautiful picture of small bridges, flowing water and people, and are a shining pearl on the Wuyuan boutique line.

There are handicrafts and chrysanthemum tea vendors everywhere in Likeng. Wooden combs are really cheap, six for five yuan.

Although it has a strong commercial atmosphere, I still like this place very much. There is a bustling city, but there are also quiet places for photo taking in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

Overall it's pretty, but I've been to too many special areas like this so I'm not amazed. Overall it's worth coming. We stayed inside the Likeng scenic spot but on the side. There was no running water or red lanterns, but outside the door was a big old camphor tree, bamboo forest and rape flowers. If the rape flowers hadn't withered, it would still be very beautiful. The air was very good, the water was sweet, the tap water was really sweet, people should live long. Reminder: the black plum and ice candy are soaked in color, many scenic spots have them. The black plum soup we drank at Cha Ji tasted good.

Likeng is a place with small bridges and flowing water, with rape flowers blooming in patches, and many literary shops around the bluestone paths where you can buy souvenirs. As a sketching base, Likeng comes alive on paper in the hands of painters.

Likeng, I suggest that those who have not been to Wuyuan can go in and experience the scenery of the Huizhou village. Although it is highly commercialized, it is still very beautiful and lively.

Walking through a field of rapeseed flowers, I was surprised to find a few cows, which were much more realistic and pleasing than the crude scarecrow and dragon shapes! After a slow turn, there was a forest with a clear stream, and then there were the common elements of the ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. The Hui-style buildings on both sides of the stream stood opposite each other. Likeng's most famous She inkstone was sold everywhere. I didn't ask the price. I guess the simple folk customs would not sell it for several times more.

After visiting Likeng for about an hour and a half, I think Likeng is better compared to Wangkou Jiangwan! It has its own characteristics and is not the same as others.
