Lushan - Jinxiu Valley

Today’s goals are two big ones, Jinxiu Valley and Tiechuan Peak, both favorite places for poets.

Generally, tourists who visit Jinxiu Valley take a bus and get off at Huajing Station, enter Jinxiu Valley, and pass Xianren Cave. We went the other way, got off at Xianren Cave Station, and traveled in the opposite direction to Jinxiu Valley. At Xianren Cave Station, we encountered uninvited guests - monkeys. A lady screamed, attracting us. She said that a monkey snatched the plastic bag in her hand. She didn't react at the time and thought it was a child. There were more monkeys in the scenic area. It was a Monday morning, and there were many tourists in Jinxiu Valley. It was the place with the most tourists in our three days in Lushan. Maybe because Jinxiu Valley has convenient transportation and is not difficult to climb, it is a favorite place for tour groups. Many tourists, like Pipi, were excited to see monkeys, and many tourists took out food to feed the monkeys. A monkey made a sharp cry while eating, calling friends: "People are stupid and there is a lot of food, come quickly." This is good, there are bursts of noises between the trees, and seven or eight monkeys came. There was a mother monkey holding a baby monkey in her arms, another mother monkey holding two baby monkeys in her arms, and two monkeys fighting for food. Tourists who were watching the fun like Pipi were even happier, watching and commenting: "Look, this mother monkey eats by herself and doesn't give food to the baby monkey. The baby monkey wants to eat, and she beats the baby monkey." "Now she feeds the baby monkey." At this time, I saw a lady squatting to watch the monkeys. There was a plastic bag on her knees, which might contain food. Then a monkey jumped onto her knees at lightning speed and snatched the plastic bag. I was standing 3 meters away and was shocked. The tourists around also made a small commotion, but not long after, everyone's attention was attracted by other monkeys. As more and more tourists fed the monkeys, the monkeys began to be picky: they didn't eat steamed buns or dumplings, and fruits were the most popular. When we were about to reach the Fairy Cave, there was no trace of monkeys. Jinxiu Valley has a mountain wall on one side and a deep valley and mountain scenery on the other. After seeing Wulao Peak, Jinxiu Valley is just so-so. The only interesting thing is the famous "Sky Bridge". When I saw the pictures of the Sky Bridge online, I thought it looked like a broken bridge. When I saw it in person, I realized that it was the effect of parallax. There is actually a long distance between the two sides of the "Broken Bridge". However, the large cliff that stretched out still attracted many tourists. I couldn't take a single photo.

Jinxiu Valley is actually a glacial U-shaped valley, 1,600 meters long, which is the result of glacial erosion 1.1-90 million years ago. After water erosion and collapse, the valley was transformed into a cliff-like canyon. Because of the blooming mountain flowers in the valley, it has the reputation of "Jinxiu".

The road from Sanbaoshu to Huanglongtan is one of the most enjoyable ones.

The exit is the Imperial Monument Pavilion, where the male and female protagonists of Lushan Love took shelter from the rain! There is a water seller at the exit, 6 yuan a bottle! It's even worse than Sandiequan! Take the shuttle bus and you will soon reach the flower path!

From Jinxiu Valley, you can see the Jiujiang city below, which is worth a visit.
