Qingyuan Village

Rapeseed flowers, pear blossoms and peach blossoms are in full bloom at the same time, enveloping the people of Qingyuan in a scene of "golden mountains, silver seas and rouge clouds".
Qingyuan Village has long been known as a small paradise. It has been isolated from the outside world for a long time and has simple folk customs, pleasant scenery, high mountains, clear air, fertile soil and heavy fog. The air is fresh and dust-free, and the springs are clear and full of spiritual energy.

Because it is located deep in the mountains, Qingyuan Village has an excellent natural ecological environment. The air is fresh, the soil is fertile and foggy, and the spring water is clear and dust-free. The phenology here is more than half a month later than that of the county town. Compared with Jiangling, which is only 11 kilometers away by road, the blooming season of Qingyuan rapeseed flowers is about a week later because of the mountain barrier. There is a sigh of "The flowers in the world are gone in April, and the peach blossoms in the mountain temple are in full bloom. I long regret that spring has gone and I don’t know where it has turned into this place", and there is also a feeling of "When you reach the end of the road, you think there is no way out, but there is another village in the dark."

The first stop was Huangling. After the tour, we rented a car to Qingyuan. It was already past 7pm when we arrived in Qingyuan. It was all mountainous and remote. We stayed in Qingyuan at night. The B&Bs were all villagers’ own houses. They cost 150 yuan for a triple room. The bed was very small, about 1.2 meters. The conditions were really bad. We ordered four dishes for dinner for three people, which cost 180 yuan. The taste was really bad. There were not many lights at night, which made me a little disappointed. I didn’t fall asleep all night. I got excited when I saw the blue smoke and white walls outside the window in the morning. What a primitive ancient village! There were old people washing clothes in the stream, which reminded me of the comfortable feeling when I was a child! I quickly took out my SLR and took a few pictures. The following are what I took 😄

I came here to take a walk in the last few days before the winter vacation. The flowers will not bloom until another 10 days. It is the off-season now. No one is charged for entering the village. The villagers sit by the river and chat leisurely. Qingyuan Village is a paradise on earth. The folk customs are simple, the air is pleasant, the scenery is beautiful, and there is not much commercialization. Experience the original rural life. Qingyuan Village has a large area of rapeseed flowers on the hill behind the village.

I went there before Qingming Festival. It was a little late for people who wanted to see rape flowers. The rape flowers in Huangling and Jiangling had already faded. Only the rape flowers in Qingyuan Village were still blooming because they were in the mountains and the temperature was relatively low. So if you really can't go there in March, you can only go to Qingyuan Village if you want to see the sea of rape flowers in April. The village will charge a management fee of 20 per person, but only for the first time. You can just keep the ticket for them to see when you go in and out. Each inn in the village has its own parking lot. Parking is free, but parking is charged for those who don't live here. The location of this village is relatively remote, so it may not be convenient to take a car by yourself, but there are cars that go there, but they are relatively rare. Qingyuan Village is so beautiful.

Qingyuan is a relatively unpopular but surprising little village. It is on the same tourist route as Jiangling, but it takes about 20 minutes to drive up the mountain road from Jiangling to reach it. The little village does not charge admission (but according to previous tourists, sometimes a 20 yuan sanitation fee is charged at the entrance of the village). The village not only has large areas of rapeseed flowers, but also many peach and pear flowers. If you visit at the right time, you can see the three kinds of flowers blooming at the same time.

The route of the Qingyuan Village tour is: first visit the rapeseed fields at the head of the village, you can climb to the viewing platform on the terrace to overlook the flower fields and the village; then walk along the river to the village, and see the ancient houses along the way; at the end of the village, you will see a gatehouse across the river, and after crossing it, you will walk back to another large rapeseed field, and you can climb up to a two-story pavilion to enjoy the view. If you visit quickly, you can see all the scenery in about an hour; my friends and I took photos and sat on the viewing platform to enjoy the scenery, and played for about three hours.

Compared with Xiaoqi, Wangkou and Qingyuan, the ancient ginkgo tree in the village is tall and strong, the old houses here have a longer history, and the bamboo products made by the craftsmen in the village are very delicate. If you go from Jiangling, you can visit this ancient village, otherwise there is no need to go there specially!

By Miss. S |

It takes about 3 hours to walk from Shangtan Village to Qingyuan. I like this village. There is a small river in the middle. There are houses on both sides. There are not many tourists. The osmanthus wine in the winery is delicious. The rice wine is also good. I will buy it next time I go there.

By Mammoth |

Although there are not as many rape flowers here as in Jiangling, there are much fewer people than in Jiangling, so I recommend you to come here.

Wuyuan Scenic Area includes many small attractions, but not many places are really worth visiting. Many places are scams. It is mainly recommended to visit Jiangling, Qingyuan Village and Huangling.

By OO |

It has not been overdeveloped and the people are simple and honest. It is not included in the pass and you need to pay a sanitation management fee separately.

By China-TravelNote users |

You guys are all rape flowers! When we came, there were only ginkgo trees🌝

By HkDJ |

The most remote ancient village in Wuyuan, not many people come here even during the peak season of rape blossoms, and it is even more quiet now.

The place chosen by Qingyuan for morning tea is the steps down along the river from No. 1 house in Qingyuan Village at the head of the village. The stream water is crystal clear and there are peach trees planted on both sides. You can imagine the scene and sound of peach blossoms and flowing water.

By ✨Someone⛱ |

Qingyuan was built during the Kaiyuan Period of the Tang Dynasty. It is an ancient village with a history of more than 1,300 years. According to legend, the founder of the ancient village came here to explore the wonders of the place. Seeing such an open area surrounded by high mountains, he built a village here. Because of its dangerous terrain, it is located in the mountains, surrounded by green peaks, and has been free from military forces since ancient times. It is far away from the world and is like a paradise in Wuling.

A small road at the entrance of the village where few people go.

There is a cool breeze between the mountains and fields.

The Hui-style buildings with grey walls and black tiles are dotted with green trees and clear streams.

Small bridge, flowing water, and houses.

Light colors, just like ink painting.

By Walking porker |

I went there in autumn to enjoy the autumn scenery. I will go there again next time when the rape flowers are in bloom.

By . Waves |

Those who have been there all say that this place has not been developed by tourism. The village is pristine, the folk customs are simple, the scenery is quiet, and there is no entrance fee (but now the villagers also know to charge money, and charge 20 yuan/person for cleaning fees to enter the village, and 2 yuan/person for using the toilet in the villagers' homes. There are no tour groups. Most villages in Wuyuan require tickets, and they are not cheap, unlike the ancient towns here that do not charge entrance fees). Qingyuan is an ancient village with a history of more than 1,300 years. The canyon here is deep and secluded, located on the top of thousands of mountains, blocking the outside and overflowing the inside. It is a place chosen by the ancestors to avoid chaos and is known as a small paradise.

Now the village has changed a bit, there are more inns than before, those who are interested can stay in the village. After entering the village, we went straight to the rapeseed field, like a group of flower lovers, fascinated by the rapeseed flowers, and couldn't stop looking at and taking pictures of them. The whole village is surrounded by a golden sea of rapeseed flowers, and the gray walls and black tiles are full of poetic and picturesque beauty.

By Warm |

Located in the valley, the ancient village of Qingyuan is said to have a history of more than a thousand years. The oldest house preserved in the village was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. There are no crowds of tourists or constant hawking here, but it is more authentic, simple and peaceful! As the sun sets and the smoke from cooking rises, it is us who have intruded into their lives!

By Wisdom and Innocence |

Qingyuan, deep in the mountains, is simple and peaceful. There are Hui-style buildings in the village, and a small river runs through the village.

By Small trolls |

It takes about twenty minutes to reach Qingyuan from Jiangling.

After arriving in Qingyuan, I had only one thought: if I don't come to Qingyuan at this time, then I can say that my trip to Wuyuan is in vain. Although the peach blossoms faded too quickly, the rape blossoms are blooming naturally without knowing it. What's more wonderful is that because of the lack of communication with the outside world, the people of Qingyuan still maintain the lifestyle of small bridges and flowing water, just like a paradise.

Walking in Qingyuan Village, you can say that every step is a scene, every eye is a painting, like a natural beauty, beautiful without being unaware, making people feel precious. A real sense of relaxation flows in the heart, and after being caged for a long time, it is back to nature.

The whole Qingyuan village is not big. We walked to the rapeseed field at the other end of the village. The rapeseed flowers here, with the background of pink walls and black tiles, look more like Huizhou.

By Small bench |

I originally planned to go to Jiangling, but when I arrived at Jiangling, the rape flowers had already withered and were all in seeds, so I didn't buy a ticket to enter Jiangling. In the afternoon, I took a taxi to Qingyuan for three people, 20 yuan per person. Because it was raining, there were not many tourists. I visited for about two hours, walked along the stream in the village, and then turned back. It really felt like an ancient village.

By Feng Tang |

Qingyuan Ancient Village is peaceful and tranquil, with simple folk customs. Being in it really gives me a feeling of being in a "paradise". I walked and looked carefully, fearing that I would disturb the quiet life of the villagers. A stream in the village divides Qingyuan into the east and west banks, so there are small bridges, flowing water, and houses.

By lululululu |

The flowers in Qingyuan are indeed better than those in other places; if Huangling is centered around the terraces and Jiangling is walking between the terraces, then the flowers in Qingyuan are mainly on the flat ground. It is said that one hour is enough to visit Qingyuan, but why do I feel that it is not enough... In addition to rape flowers, Qingyuan also has ancient villages~ The white walls and black tiles in the flowers are particularly impressive. If you walk forward to the rape flowers, you will enter the village~ The houses on both sides are built along the river. I inexplicably like this row of upturned house corners~

By Photographer Yilan |

Located in the mountains, the transportation is not very convenient, and the rapeseed terraces are not as large as Jiangling. Although there are not as many tourists as other scenic spots, because the village is relatively small, it feels that there are quite a few tourists. The houses are quite old, with small bridges and flowing water, and most of them are left-behind elderly people.

By weikhe |

The most beautiful scenic spot in Wuyuan. Compared with Xiling and Jiangling, it has less traffic and less commercial development.

By Xueyao |

The first stop was Qingyuan, which was not very commercialized. There was a river in the middle of the village and the back hills were all covered with rapeseed flowers. It was very beautiful and the people were very simple. The entrance fee was 20 yuan, which was worth it.

Compared with other attractions in the combined ticket except Jiangling, this place is so beautiful

By lily_bj2003 |

The scenic spot collected entrance fees, and when you entered Dafudi (the house number was wrong) and Jingshen Hall, they locked the door and asked for money. It felt bad.

By Yao Shuocheng |

After crossing several hills from Jiangling and driving through several rugged mountain roads, I arrived at Qingyuan Village, a village hidden at the highest point of Wuyuan East Line. In addition to the ancient buildings such as Dafudi, Shuisi Hall, and Jingshen Hall, the idyllic scenery at the entrance of the village and the sea of rapeseed flowers are more attractive to travelers.

Due to the high altitude, the rape flowers in Qingyuan Village always bloom a week later. When the rape flowers in other areas have withered, the rape flowers in Qingyuan Village are still blooming.

There are two shuttle buses from Qingyuan Village to the county seat every day, departing from the county seat at 10:00 and 15:00 respectively, passing Likeng, Wangkou, Xiaoqi, and Jiangling before arriving at Qingyuan. The bus driver and master are from Qingyuan Village. They pass by Jiangling at about 15:30 in the afternoon. After visiting Jiangling, you can directly wait for the bus to Qingyuan.

Since Qingyuan Village is not highly commercialized, the only accommodation options are farmhouses. But isn't it a pleasure to sleep in such a cozy village?

In addition to the sea of flowers at the entrance of the village, Qingyuan Village still has hundreds of ancient houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties, but it is not as well-known as Sixiyan Village. With its simple folk customs and warm rural FEEL, Qingyuan Village may also be a must-visit place for your trip to Wuyuan.

By nana |

I went there for the rapeseed flowers. There were already a lot of people there even on non-holidays. You can imagine how crowded it is on holidays.

By China-TravelNote users |

It's still worth a visit, the flowers are nice too 👍An ancient village with clean bridges and flowing water

By Potato |

The ticket to Qingyuan Village is not included in the pass, 20 yuan per ticket. After entering Qingyuan Village, the atmosphere of life here hits you. The village is built around a stream, and people here wash vegetables and clothes by the stream. This is a life scene that I don’t see in the place where I grew up. It is also another way of life. Life here is very slow, and the transportation between the village and the outside world is not very convenient. When the old people are not working, three or five of them sit together and chat, watching us who broke in here come and go. When I came here, I wanted to stay here for a night, but I didn’t realize it in the end for some reasons!

By Sakura~Maple fox |

The most beautiful village in Wuyuan, bar none! Not only are there large rapeseed fields, but also small bridges, flowing water, and houses, as well as terraced fields like Jiangling. The peach and plum blossoms in the village have stolen a lot of the limelight from the rapeseed.

By Enoki mushrooms on the road |

Qingyuan Ancient Village is called "Little Peach Blossom Land" and has a strong sense of original ecology. There is a quiet stream in the village, dividing Qingyuan Ancient Village into two parts: the east and west banks. There is a stone bridge on the stream, which is simple and quaint. Villagers can often be seen washing clothes by the stream, men and women, old and young, washing clothes, vegetables and dishes. Life is very convenient. When you first arrive, it seems that the ancient Hui style blows in your face, which makes you happy. (This paragraph is copied from Baidu, and my inner feeling is only three words: really good) Walking on the small road here, looking at such a simple and plain life, even my smile has become much sweeter.

By Jiang Li |

If you come to Wuyuan, you must come here! The village is located in a valley, which is unique, quiet and peaceful. It is completely different from other villages or scenic spots. It has the elegance and cleanliness that other villages do not have, and the simplicity and tranquility that other scenic spots do not have. I especially recommend the Ancient House Inn, which is a bookish place. The lunch we had here was very delicious. The boss uncle was very nice. I really regretted not choosing to stay here.

By coral |

Qingyuan Village is a quiet little mountain village surrounded by mountains. In spring, large tracts of golden rapeseed flowers bloom in front of and behind the houses, and peach and pear blossoms are also competing for beauty, adding a romantic atmosphere to the village. The houses shaded by flowers and trees have black tiles and white walls. Dexterous craftsmen draw patterns of various postures on the corners, eaves, and door beams. There are many inns in Qingyuan, and every household opens its doors to welcome guests. Most of them are rooms with Chinese-style rural atmosphere. Compared with mature scenic spots, such a paradise in the boudoir is more recommended. We stayed in Teacher Cao's inn. The villagers were simple and the dishes were very good. I liked the chili sauce with breakfast, which tasted great!

By This summer |

The rape flowers in Qingyuan are more abundant than anywhere else. This is our first impression of Qingyuan. This idyllic village has a clear stream winding through it, and the villagers use this stream water to wash rice and vegetables. The smoke from the kitchen curls up at dusk, as if traveling back to my grandmother's home in my childhood.

By kkmlls |

Qingyuan Village, which belongs to Duanxin Township, Wuyuan, was built in the Tang Dynasty and is known as the "Little Peach Blossom Land". The whole village is named "Zhan". The village management fee is 20 yuan per person. There are many homestays and they are in harmony with the environment. It takes half a day to visit. It is most beautiful when it rains lightly. It is best to stay overnight to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the morning and evening. We stayed at "Qingyuan Youyi Village Inn" on the night of the 27th. There are rapeseed fields and pink walls and black tiles outside the door. It is a great pleasure to watch the Big Dipper at night and the rapeseed fields in the morning.

By Alex Moonlight Box |

A quiet village that has not been overly commercialized, of course also because of its small size, with small bridges, flowing water and houses. After seeing large areas of rapeseed flowers, it is a good choice to come here and feel its tranquility.

By Sisi |

After Jiangwan, we originally planned to go to Xiaoqi, but the two girls in our group were already immune to the ancient village and wanted to go to the naturally beautiful Qingyuan. Since many travel notes we had read suggested that you can pick and choose a few of the attractions included in the combined ticket, and Qingyuan outside the combined ticket is very beautiful and worth a visit, we unanimously decided to give up Xiaoqi and go straight to Qingyuan.

Facts have proved that this decision is correct. The rapeseed flowers in Qingyuan are the most beautiful among all the places I have visited in the past few days. It may be because it is located in the mountains and the temperature is low, and the rapeseed flowers are still in full bloom. The ancient village is matched with the rapeseed fields, just like an outdoor paradise, which makes people linger.

By Handsome and elegant |

The ancient buildings in Qingyuan are well preserved and worth a visit.

By PP Rabbit |

I found a small village when I came out of Jiangling. There is no entrance fee but there is a village sanitation fee of 20 yuan per person. Small villages can be seen everywhere in Wuyuan, without much special features.

By Jia Jia Lion |

Qingyuan is a beautiful little village. We chose it as a place to stay at first. We didn't expect to be surprised after we settled down. First, the warm reception, delicious food and enthusiastic directions from the hotel owner; second, the beautiful scenery in the village. Although we went there a little early, every flower, tree, scene and object made me linger. There is also a beautiful little village next to it. It would be better if I could stay there for free in the future, haha.

By Sun Xingzhezze |

We chartered a car for two people at the foot of Jiangling Mountain for 60 yuan (a very good price). After we went up, the driver wanted to earn the 20 yuan ticket money, so I leaned back on the seat 😂. I was deeply impressed by the Cha Ji Winery inside. The boss was nice and the wine was even better. After visiting those attractions, I felt that Qingyuan was really very peaceful!

By fountaincz |

The book says that Qingyuan Village is as wide as the Pan Valley of Taihang Mountain and as beautiful as the Peach Garden of Wuling Mountain. It is located on the top of thousands of mountains, blocking the outside and overflowing the inside. It is a place chosen by the ancestors to avoid chaos and is known as the Little Peach Garden. After arriving here, I found that it is worthy of the name. A stream runs through the village, and the ancient village is surrounded by green mountains. Peach blossoms and rape flowers complement each other. It is really like entering a fairyland. Relatively few tourists come here to play.

By Eight |

This is my favorite village. The ancient buildings are well preserved. It is a small paradise, and it lives up to its reputation. If you come to Wuyuan, you must come here~

By kamchipong |

It is still worth a visit. There are not many people and the scenery is nice. It feels different from Jiangling. It has more tranquility and simplicity. If you go to Jiangling, you can walk here for a while.

By Mr. Guoguo |

Qingyuan Village is a quiet folk village, worth staying there for a few days. Guantingrenjia is a good choice, the boss and his family are very nice. Especially their stewed fish, fried celery with bacon and lean meat, fried fungus with local eggs, plus Jiangxi local fermented bean curd... You will still want to eat more even if you are full!

By Xiaoqiang |

This scenic spot gives me a humanistic feeling. It has a very bookish smell. I went to the old house and looked at the ancient trees. It was very comfortable and cozy.

By Tiara Cat Ghost |

The isolated Qingyuan Village is really like a paradise

By Silly dog walks everywhere |

The scenery of Qingyuan is the best among the other villages except Huangling. However, it is relatively remote, and the accommodation is not as convenient as Wangkou, Xiaoqi and Likeng.

By Building small mountain building |

Qingyuan is one of the places I want to visit most during this trip to Wuyuan. It is about a 20-minute drive from Jiangling. It is not included in the pass and the ticket is 20 yuan. Qingyuan is really worth a visit. There are many rapeseed fields in the whole village, at the entrance, in the village, and behind the village. The village is a Hui-style village with white walls and black tiles. The long bluestone road along the river extends forward. Peach blossoms, ancient bridges, big trees, bluestone, running water, women washing vegetables, and old ladies carrying vegetable baskets are the pictures of a quiet water village, which is beautiful.

By tangguodan |

The scenery is really great. There are rapeseed flowers everywhere, but not many people like it!

By skuraking |

The traffic here is very inconvenient, the scenery is absolutely great, and it is well maintained. It is recommended to go there.

By Smell the fragrance |

Small bridges, flowing water, houses, pink peaches, white tiles and yellow flowers. The temperament of a beautiful girl from a small family satisfies all imaginations of Jiangnan in March.

By Happy little black cat |

It is not included in the pass. I sincerely recommend the feeling of Taoyuan Wonderland. It is beautiful. There is no pollution in the small village. Slow life

By Wu Ying |

Highly recommended, stay here to enjoy the Peach Blossom Spring for a few days and chat with travellers from all over the world

By Sunshine Slow Fish |

Entering the village, it is different from the Sixiyan Village on the first day. There is no smoky village, but fields with no one in front and no one behind and large fields of rapeseed flowers. Crossing the fields, we arrived at the village. Different from other villages, it has the beauty of small bridges, flowing water and people's homes, more original ecology. Villagers sit in front of their homes to chat and pick vegetables, and some even eat in front of the door with bowls. It is very natural and very desirable.

By Speechless |

This time when I went to Wuyuan, I felt that the most beautiful places were Huangling and Qingyuan. The ancient villages and Hui-style buildings shaded by peach blossoms were very impressive.

By Drunk alone |

Qingyuan is known as the Little Peach Blossom Land. It is said that the founder of the ancient village, Xiao Bagong, came here to explore the wonders and saw such an open area surrounded by high mountains, so he built a house and a village at Xiashuikou. At that time, a troop of the Taiping Army entered the pass at the head of Qingyuan Village and saw that the mountains were closed and the valley was cut off. They thought it was the end of the valley, so they turned back to Wu Village and went down the mountain to Duanxin.

Qingyuan Village is surrounded by high mountains, fertile soil and heavy fog. The air is fresh and dust-free, the springs are clear and full of spiritual energy, and the mountainside is shrouded in clouds and fog all year round, truly worthy of the title of Little Paradise.

By mako |

The thousand-year-old village of Qingyuan left me with the best impression of Wuyuan. The whole village is built in the Hui style, the folk customs are simple, and the boss of Guanting is warm and hospitable.

By Sunny Day Gentleman |

Qingyuan is not big, but it is worth visiting. When I was in Jiangling before, I thought the rape flowers were so beautiful. Then when you come to Qingyuan, you will feel that this is the posture of rape flowers. More primitive and more brilliant. But the only thing I don’t like is that there is too little garbage and rarely see more and more tourists. If you have enough time, then go to Wuzhou to find Liwai Wangcha. It is definitely a paradise on earth. It has not been developed and destroyed. That is the essence.

By South has a cold heart |

Qingyuan is the least commercialized village I have ever seen. Many people like to use commercialization to describe whether a place is really beautiful. In fact, every place has its own characteristics. What we need to do is to discover its beauty. When I looked down from the observation deck, I was shocked by the beauty of this village. It is a very, very beautiful place. I like it very much and hope to come again.

It is very beautiful. I recommend going to Qingyuan. However, the transportation is inconvenient and the food is expensive.

By Miss Wingwingday |

Apart from "beautiful", I can't think of any adjective to describe this small village. Although it is far away, I strongly recommend a visit. The rapeseed flowers planted by the villagers are very beautiful, separated by small railings, and with small bridges, flowing water and houses, it is very artistic. Compared with other planned scenic spots, the beauty here is purer, more natural, and more full of the flavor of life.

Also known as Xiao Taoyuan, it is not included in the ticket, 20/person, euphemistically called the environmental protection fee, but in fact it is the fee collected by the village itself. If there are many people, you can negotiate the price. There is no parking fee. There is a large parking lot at the entrance of the village. However, this village is very large. Although there are some people, they are scattered over such a large area and seem sparse. The entrance to Qingyuan Ancient Village is a narrow mountain road. It takes about an hour to walk slowly along the mountain road to the viewing platform, and the view is suddenly open.

Qingyuan Village should be considered an ancient village, with Hui-style architecture, a small river flowing in front of the door, a few peach trees with pink flowers or pear trees with white flowers scattered beside the river or in front of the door, stone roads, stone bridges, and rape flowers all over the mountains, the scenery is very beautiful. The only drawback is that the river water is a bit polluted, there are many tourists, and the commercial atmosphere is relatively strong.

The rape flowers in Qingyuan are also very beautiful. Unlike Jiangling, in addition to the rape flowers, you can also see ancient villages on the mountain.

The natural and simple beauty of Jiangling is like Shangri-La in the entire eastern line of Wuyuan. There are terraced fields with blooming rape flowers. Although it is not as magnificent as Jiangling, it is less touristy and simple and beautiful. There are small bridges and flowing water houses here. Although it does not have as many Ming and Qing old houses as Sixi Yancun and Likeng, this idyllic place has much clearer streams and less scheming people.

The field of rapeseed flowers at the entrance of the village, mixed with peach blossoms, pear blossoms, and radish flowers, plus the white walls and black tiles faintly visible among the flowers, is still worth taking pictures of.

There is too much garbage in the stream, the sanitation is not good, and it is inconsistent with the scenery.

Qingyuan, the pearl of Wuyuan! The only place in Wuyuan that I think is the most beautiful and suitable for travel is Qingyuan. It is not as commercialized as Likeng and other places, nor as modernized as Jiangwan, and it retains the charm of ancient Huizhou. The quaint village is divided by a small river, and peach blossoms, pear blossoms, and cherry blossoms are planted on both sides of the river. Coupled with the ancient buildings with white walls and tiles and the rapeseed fields outside the village, that is the Wuyuan of my dreams! There are several celebrity residences in the village that can be visited, and there are also homemade wines that can be purchased (recommended by friends), and there are also places to send postcards. There is also a back mountain where you can see the scenery of the village. You can also eat the most delicious rice and dishes in Wuyuan, and the price is the most affordable. When it rains, listening to the rain and watching the rapeseed flowers under the eaves is a different taste!

Qingyuan is a place that is like a paradise on earth, a place where you don’t want to leave once you come here. The stream in the village flows downstream, and the stone road after the rain exudes the flavor of history. The villagers here look very simple and honest. I walked over to chat with the elderly. Although we couldn’t communicate in the same language, they were always smiling, which made me feel warm in my heart.

It was not the peak season when I went there, so there were not many people and it was a quiet little village.

The characteristic of each village in Wuyuan is the Hui-style architecture. In fact, they are all similar inside. Under such circumstances, it is really unnecessary to go to those villages that are heavily commercialized in the combined ticket. Qingyuan is precious. There are not too many tourists, and commercialization is not too serious. It's a pity that we didn't see the stars when we went there because it was cloudy and rainy. If you think Qingyuan is not deep enough, you can hike to a farther place after arriving in Qingyuan. You can ask the inn owner to recommend it to you.

The main reason why not many people go to Qingyuan is because of the inconvenient transportation. There are only two buses from the county to Qingyuan every day, one in the morning and one at 14:00 in the afternoon. Due to traffic jams on the road during the peak season, the 14:00 bus may take a long time to arrive. The bus from Qingyuan to the county costs 30 yuan for the whole journey. There are also two buses, one at 7:00 in the morning and one at 12:30 in the afternoon. It is best to ask the inn owner to make a phone reservation for you, otherwise there are many people in Jiangling, and the bus may not come to Qingyuan (this is really a big pit...)

When we went, we went from Jiangling to Qingyuan. Because the bus was stuck on the road, many people were soliciting customers. Here is a tip. I forgot the price in 2016. The price of chartering a car from Jiangling to Qingyuan. The person who asked the price usually asked for 120 (or how much per person). It was easy to bargain down to 20 per person. The five of us bargained down to 80. (If it is not the peak season or weekend, it can be lower), which is 16 per person. However, Jiangling to Qingyuan is only 8 kilometers. It is not too far. But you need to be patient in bargaining.

Of course, if the shuttle bus has already left, it will be difficult to bargain. You can also ask the owner of the inn you booked to call a taxi for you. But it will be difficult to bargain in this way.

We booked our accommodation online, Xijiangyue Inn, the owner is from Qingyuan Primary School. He is a nice guy. But there is no exhaust fan in the toilet (I won't say more about the rest).

There are only a few wineries in the village, and a simple bar (really drunk). It's a very rural style, the sound effects and TV are very bad, it feels very retro haha. The prices of several wineries vary a lot. I don't know much about wine, you can go and taste it yourself.

The cakes at Qiaotou are 1 yuan each and are delicious. There is also a shop that makes good Qingming cakes for breakfast. The main dishes are not very special, but just ordinary home-cooked dishes.

The highlight is the rapeseed flowers. We went there early. The flowers in Qingyuan were not at their best, but they were much better than those in Jiangling. It was also very beautiful when we climbed to the top of the mountain. I asked the innkeeper, who said that the rapeseed flowers have different varieties, so they bloom at different times, which is very layered.

The photos are not photoshopped, they were taken with a crappy phone. Do they look good?
