This time the route is the most conventional reverse route of Wugong Mountain. It starts from Longshan Village, passes through Fayunjie, Qianzhangyan, Haohanpo (stay), Jiwupo, Diaomazhuang, and Jinding, and then takes the cable car down.

It is said that "love" comes at a price. Although I planned to travel light and back to Wugong Mountain, I bought almost a full set of outdoor equipment for this trip to Wugong Mountain. The subsequent actual combat proved that all the equipment was not bought in vain.

You can't miss any hiking equipment and clothing. I already have the most basic ones, and a sleeping bag will be perfect. Cooking utensils, which are originally the most abstract, also played a huge role later. In order to reduce the burden, I only brought a 50mm lens, and discarded the wide-angle, telephoto, tripod and shutter cable. For me, 50mm is enough. After all, it is important to be able to take pictures when you are tired.

The sunrise over the sea of clouds at Wugong Mountain is really spectacular. It was sunny all day long, and the climb up and down the slopes was constantly changing between fog and sunshine. Whenever I came to a mountain top, I was surrounded by a magnificent sea of clouds. Seeing such a view was really worth it.

The pine trees on Wugong Mountain are very beautiful and distinctive. Many of them grow sparsely on the mountain ridges, adding some embellishment to the magnificent alpine meadows.

I will definitely go to Wugong Mountain again. I hope to be a strong donkey next time and go to see the magnificent Green Wu!

1. About strength:

The most tiring part of the hike was the two and a half hours from Longshan Village to the meadow. There was no scenery and it was very boring and tiring. After this part, there was basically no pressure. Many people brag about how fierce and cruel Wugong Mountain is just to show how awesome they are. Of course, heavy-duty donkeys are still awesome. I will respect them for any route. Light-duty donkeys are not really that strong. Normal people can do it for two days.

2. About supplies:

There are about three or four supply points from Longfa Villa to the meadow. There is no supply point between the meadow and Fayunjie. From Fayunjie, you can basically find the inn after crossing the slope. The supply point is also very complete, with boiling water, instant noodles, gas cans (what else do you want).

3. About equipment:

Two trekking poles are very necessary!!!

There are only a few inns on the mountain, and most people stay in tents. However, I went to Wugong Mountain just to experience tents. (There are many places to rent tents on the mountain. Don’t book them online. After you get up, find a place you want to set up your tent and then rent it. Xiaofeng booked it online and set up the tent at the entrance of the temple.)

There are as many tents on the mountain as the stars in the sky. It is very windy and cold, making it very uncomfortable to sleep at night. But isn’t this expected?

Those who don't want to hike can take the cable car! The road is all stone slabs, but it's a bit steep, but it's not particularly difficult to walk. You can buy bamboo trekking poles at the foot of the mountain (the uniform price is two yuan each).

I have heard of Wugong Mountain's reputation in the outdoor circle and have always wanted to see the green alpine meadows. However, considering the distance, I don't have time to visit it during the two days of the weekend, and I am afraid that there will be too many people if I go during the short holidays. I have to wait until August when the grass is definitely green to take a year off to go hiking. Since I applied for leave suddenly, I didn't read the guide in advance. If I took the hiking route, I had no idea where the starting and ending points were, how long it would take, and where to stay along the way. This time, I went to the paid attractions first, and watched them while playing. I will hike again next time when I am fully prepared.

Due to health reasons, I only walked the leisure starry sky plank road. The plank road is about 3 kilometers long, of which the glass plank road is about 300 meters long. It is located above 1,600 meters above sea level and has several observation decks with excellent views. Looking up, you can see the mountains and clouds rolling in the distance...

At the end of the starry sky plank road is the Wugong Mountain Guanyindang Grassland Starry Sky Outdoor Campground: various tents are arranged around the mountain in different colors, like a blooming petal...

It is a worthwhile attraction to visit. The sea of clouds is beautiful, the sunrise is beautiful, and the alpine grassland is spectacular, but it is also very cold when it rains. You can camp here in autumn and summer.

Wugong Mountain is a national scenic spot and national natural heritage, and enjoys the reputation of "outdoor paradise, grassland in the clouds". Currently, the official scenic areas that have been developed include Pingxiang Wugong Mountain Jinding Scenic Area, Yimingyue Mountain Scenic Area, Anfu Wugong Mountain Jifeng Scenic Area and Yangshimu Scenic Area. I have been to many mountains. The alpine meadows of Wugong Mountain are unique in the mountains of the same latitude. I was lucky enough to see the spectacular sunrise and sea of clouds after staying in a tent for one night in difficult conditions. I was shocked and it was also a plus. Compared with Lushan Mountain (a world cultural heritage) and Sanqing Mountain (a world natural heritage) in Jiangxi, the natural scenery is slightly inferior to Sanqing Mountain, which is much more beautiful than Lushan Mountain. However, the ticket to Wugong Mountain is only 60 (buy it online in advance), which is the most cost-effective. Many hiking enthusiasts do not even need tickets to take the reverse route. The only bad thing about Wugong Mountain is that the accommodation on the top of the mountain is not good enough. Most people need to stay in tents (it is relatively humid inside the tents). It is not convenient to eat, so it is recommended to bring more food and water. The accommodation conditions are relatively difficult. Even if you stay in a hotel, you will be charged extra for taking a hot shower. Generally speaking, the alpine meadows of Wugong Mountain are its characteristics, and the sea of clouds, sunrise and starry sky are plus points. Whether you can see them depends entirely on luck. If you can see them, it will be a big plus, so it is best not to go there in the rainy season. I went there in autumn a few days ago. The fog was so thick that I couldn’t see anything when I went up the mountain that day. It dissipated that night and I saw the spectacular sunrise and sea of clouds the next day. So I strongly recommend going there in autumn recently. A new starry sky plank road has been opened these days, which is on September 15th. You can go there and walk on the glass plank road. The transportation to Wugong Mountain is quite convenient. There are minibuses directly from Pingxiang North Station and Pingxiang Station (opposite the bus station). The journey takes about one hour and twenty minutes. The ticket price is 23, which is very convenient. If you want to book a tent, it is 100-120. If it is not the peak season, you can book it directly on the mountain. It is okay. 100 is enough. In addition, except for the mobile signal on the mountain, there is no signal in other places. We booked the place where we prayed for children. There is actually Wugong Mountain's wifi, otherwise we will lose contact. And you must bring a big power bank, otherwise you can't bear it. The camera battery must be fully charged, and two will do. The overall feeling I gave was that the weather was perfect and the natural scenery was perfect. There are also two sections of the ropeway in Wugong Mountain. The first section is 65 for the uphill section and 45 for the second section. It is recommended to only take the first section uphill, then hike up the mountain and then hike down the mountain. This is more meaningful and not so tiring, and you can also enjoy the scenery of Wugong Mountain. It takes six or seven hours to hike up the mountain and about three hours to go down the mountain, so it depends on your own situation.

If you have no outdoor hiking experience, it is recommended not to challenge Wugong Mountain hiking easily. If you must, it is recommended to sign up for an outdoor group. There are too many forks in the road, and it is still confusing to follow the road signs left by predecessors.

Remember to prepare water, food (there are no houses on the mountain road, and no supply points), knee pads, trekking poles (there are bamboo poles at the entrance of the village for 2 yuan each, which are also very useful), rain gear, sunscreen, wind oil, gastroenteritis, paper towels, toiletries (the conditions in the mountain inn are difficult, and it is good to have hot water for bathing). Cotton sweatshirts or thin cotton jackets (it is only about 10 degrees on the mountain). Don't mind bringing an extra pair of shoes, because your shoes will get wet.

I haven't climbed a mountain for a long time. This time I came to conquer Pingxiang Wugong Mountain. Because I climbed up Wugong Mountain through a wild road, it took nearly 3 hours longer than the normal climbing journey. I went to the 2014 Tent Festival with three friends. It was hard to find a place to camp. The sea of clouds and meadows on the mountain were beautiful, but the weather was bad, so I didn't take many photos.

I didn't see a good sunset and starry sky, but the sunrise was pretty good. The weather in Wugong Mountain is changeable. Even in summer, it is very cold on the mountain, and it feels even colder because of the high humidity in summer. It is difficult to find a toilet at night, so either you solve it on the spot. I hid in the tent and urinated with a mineral water bottle. Then remember to bring some food. There was nothing to eat when I reached the top of the mountain. If you go back on the same day, just travel light.

Fortunately, I took a few more glances, and it was soon shrouded in mist again. The fog on Wugong Mountain gathers and dissipates in a short time. I walked through the misty alpine meadows for an entire afternoon. My efforts paid off. When night fell, the mist dissipated and I could see the sea of clouds, the sunset, the green hills, and the road I had walked on...

The blue sky, white clouds, green grass, the colors I wanted were finally perfectly blended together, not too strong, fresh but not boring. Lying on the wooden steps of the campsite, bathing in the warm sunshine, it seemed as if every cell in my body was reborn and beating. If I wasn't in a hurry, I could play some music and drink a cup of coffee, and I could almost be drunk in this scenery for a whole day.

Because Wugong Mountain Scenic Area is going to apply for 5A, part of the scenic area has been renovated, and a new inn has been built, which is probably not cheap. Although the sunrise is quite spectacular, it is not shocking. After the sun rose, we went to see the inn where we lived two years ago. There was no trace of the past, and it had been renovated, because part of the Wugong Mountain Scenic Area is going to apply for 5A. After watching the sunrise, I was still wandering around and taking pictures. I didn't know that there was a time limit for packing up the tent, and the boss didn't tell us in advance, and then called us directly to urge us to go back and pack our luggage.

It was a little early in the season, and the grass was not yet fully green, but it was still spectacular, and Wugong Mountain did not disappoint me. I caught a sunny day, and although there was no sea of clouds, the view was excellent.

Wugong Mountain has a cable car. To be honest, if you like hiking, you don't have to choose it. If you just like sightseeing, you should take the cable car, because the way up the mountain is nothing special, just a stream. The cable car of Wugong Mountain is divided into two parts. After going up the first section, it takes another hour to reach the second section. The scenery of this section is good. If you go early, you can also see the beautiful scenery of the village under the mountain shrouded in fog. When you get off the second section of the cable car, it is even a high mountain grassland. I didn't know why so few people come to play now, because in March, the scenic spot artificially burned the old grass of the previous year, so that new grass would grow in April and May to attract more tourists, so now it is bare, haha, so I still recommend friends to come in May, it should be very beautiful by then.

Because I arrived at noon, there was nothing to see at the Golden Summit, so I suggest that friends who come here to play come in the afternoon, climb the mountain slowly, camp at the top of the mountain for a night, watch the stars and the moon, and watch the sunrise and the sea of clouds in the morning. That's worth it. But the premise is to bring thick clothes, the temperature on the mountain at night is quite cold.

The hike to the top of Wugong Mountain is not difficult. If you take the cable car up, walk on the top of the mountain for an hour or two, and then go down from Haohanpo, it should take 5-6 hours. It is not very intense. However, if you hike the whole way, it will be a bit difficult because the whole climb takes 3 or 4 hours. As for friends who want to hike the whole way, they can skip the Haohanpo and walk through Diaomazhuang to Fayunjie, which takes one or two days. Moreover, the exit is not at the original mountain entrance, but dozens of kilometers away.

When I went there in June, the humidity was heavy and fog formed in the deep forest.

The trees and bamboo forests on the mountain covered the top of our heads. It was impossible to tell the direction when we were crossing the dense forest. The most important thing was not to get lost. Fortunately, fellow travelers had marked some forks in the road with small ribbons or flags on the trees. When we were walking, we just had to look for the side with more flags.

After four hours of crossing the dense forest, the vegetation slowly turned into trees. The sun shone through the gaps between the trees. Looking back, I could already see the shadow of the meadow on the opposite ridge. After a light rain, the water vapor in the valley easily formed a sea of clouds. Finally, I could see a little bit of the sea of clouds through the dense forest.

Tips: You need to prepare more dry food and water during the climb as there are few supplies on the way. You also need to pay special attention to sun protection as the ultraviolet rays on the mountain are particularly strong. In addition, the scenery along the way is particularly beautiful, and the weather was particularly good that day. You can see the sea of clouds all day long. It is particularly beautiful. The weather in Wugong Mountain is changeable, so it is recommended that you check the weather before going to Wugong Mountain. Generally, it is easiest to see the sea of clouds after the rain.

Not recommended for beginners

Starting from Longshan Village, we started at 8 am and arrived at Wufa Inn at 5 pm. We started climbing at 7:30 the next day and arrived at Diaoma Villa around 10 am. It was a good place for mountaineering enthusiasts.

It is a famous scenic spot because of the alpine meadows. I feel that Wugong Mountain is not very tiring. It is relatively easy to arrange it in two days. It is good to set up a tent at Jinding. I went there on New Year's Day. It was very cold. I still recommend camping on the top of the mountain in summer.

The vertical changes in vegetation types along the way are still very obvious. It is more than 50 kilometers away from Pingxiang City. It is more appropriate to charter a car. It may be more troublesome to take a shuttle bus. The scenery is still good. It is recommended to go and see.

Climbed up the whole way, originally planned to take the second cable car, but missed it, and it was gone at 4:30. Everyone, please pay attention. Then it took about four and a half hours to reach the Golden Summit. The six-person room in the inn above is 450. It is very simple to take the upper and lower bunks. The toilet is public. Everyone can bring instant noodles or something. The inn above can get hot water, but we didn’t know that we had a meal in the inn, 300 four dishes and one soup, 200 a chicken🐔....... Now the sunrise comes out at about 7 o'clock, and it hasn't come out at 6:40. It's really cold up there. Everyone wears more clothes, and it's best to bring gloves. It's so cold that you can't hold your phone steadily! The scenery is great, and it's really tiring to climb. I walked down the mountain for an hour and took two cable cars.
