Wugong Mountain - Alpine Meadow

We went there at the beginning of the year. We went to Wugong Mountain with heavy equipment and camped for two nights. We started from the core scenic area of Mingyue Mountain and arrived at Fayunjie camping via Shenjia Courtyard. It took about 9 hours to climb 1000m. We prepared our own camp meal at night. We got up very early the next day and went to Jinding. It took about 8 hours to reach Jinding camping and came down from the scenic area on the third day. The sea of clouds is beautiful and it is definitely worth a visit. The accommodation conditions on the mountain are not good, especially simple. There is a lot of moisture in the mountain, and the quilt is damp. It is recommended to bring a sleeping bag to isolate dirt if you stay in the inn. There are stairs all down the scenic area. It is recommended to take a cable car.

🗺The road is not easy to walk on, and the weather is sometimes rainy and sometimes sunny. I was freezing to death during the two camping nights. There are spring, summer, autumn and winter at the foot of the mountain, but at night, it is only freezing on the mountain. The first thing I put on my phone memo is to upgrade my sleeping bag~

🚡Walking on the ridge without trees, the peaks in the distance stretch out under our feet. The steep terrain also looks gentle under the sunlight. Standing on the top of the mountain hand in hand, we feel that we are just a speck of dust in the vast world. Fortunately, we have each other to accompany us.

It's a fascinating place, no wonder so many travelers go there again and again.

I would like to call for the management and planning of scenic spots, hoping that they can consider the long-term and do something practical instead of just thinking about commercialization and making money.

In 2018, I went to Wugong Mountain twice, and it was the only place I could visit twice this year. The first time was in July this year, when I went to the green Wugong Mountain. In the hot summer, I stared at the 38-degree high temperature and the scorching sun, and started my outdoor donkey journey for the first time. Since then, I have walked farther and farther on the donkey journey (I walked 6 hiking routes in the surrounding area in the second half of the year). During the New Year's Day holiday, it happened to be cold and snowy. I went to Wugong again and encountered the magnificent sea of clouds and the white Wugong Mountain, and spent a different New Year's Eve journey with my friends on the mountain.

We arrived at Wugong Mountain on November 9th and started climbing (●°u°●) "We took the first section of the cable car first and started climbing at 11:30. The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh! We took photos while climbing the mountain. When we arrived at the Golden Summit, it was exactly one hour away from sunset. The wind on the mountain was so strong that my head was blown dizzy 😂😂 The meadows of Wugong Mountain were golden under the sun, very beautiful~ The sunset at night was also intoxicating~ The starry sky at night was also very beautiful!! And a little sunrise I saw in the morning. Because it rained last night, there was not much, and I saw the sea of clouds when I went down the mountain. One bad thing is that it is very inconvenient to rent a tent to sleep and go to the toilet on the mountain! ! ! ! I will go again when the grass turns green!

I first knew about Wugong Mountain because of its famous alpine meadows. I didn’t make any travel plans for my first visit and just went straight to the scenic area to have fun. If I had taken the hiking route, the scenery would have been even better.

I have been to Wugong Mountain twice, the first time in summer and the second time after snow. Each time I was pleasantly surprised by the alpine meadows, the magnificent sea of clouds, the gorgeous sunrise, the vast sunset, and the Buddha's light.

I have been there twice, once it was sunny and once it was raining heavily. Each time I had a different feeling and gained a lot.

It is very convenient to take a long-distance bus from Pingxiang Railway Station to the foot of the mountain. I did not hike, but took the scenic mountain trail. It was still very tiring to climb up. There are two cable cars on the road. It is recommended to take the first cable car when going down the mountain, and you can pass the plank road. The alpine meadow is very shocking, and you have to climb above 1,500 meters to see it.

During the Qingming Festival, I went out with my friends. I packed my bags and started from Longshan Village. The weather was great along the way (the sun was shining brightly the whole way). But it was better than rainy days.

The only scenic spot I have been to 3 times. I like the mountains, meadows, starry sky, sunrise, sunset, and endless tents. The only thing I haven't seen is the sea of clouds in Wugong Mountain. I look forward to seeing it on my fourth visit.

Similar to Fayunjie, watching the sea of clouds, sunrise and sunset on the alpine meadow of Wugong Mountain is not inferior to Huangshan at all, each has its own characteristics! Standing on the alpine meadow to watch the wonders of nature, human beings seem so small and insignificant. Protecting the environment starts with me. I hope everyone will love nature and protect Wugong Mountain.

When I looked up and saw the meadow just after climbing through the woods, I felt so happy, just like a southerner seeing snow. I forgot the shock of being overtaken by a donkey along the way. There was a family just after the alpine meadow appeared. Many tourists stayed at their house for a while before setting off (the potato chips and small crisps in our backpacks were swollen, so cute).

It is really rare to see such a vast alpine meadow in the eastern region. It is set against the blue sky and white clouds. There are beautiful views everywhere on the road.

June is the rainy season, with heavy rains, so be careful when traveling

Wugong Mountain is definitely a five-star recommendation. I have been there five times and I still want to go!

China's alpine meadows are mainly distributed in the plateaus and mountains in the eastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, as well as in the high mountain areas of 3,200 to 5,200 meters above sea level in central Asia, such as the Pamir Plateau, Tianshan Mountains and Qilian Mountains. The high altitude and wide area of the alpine meadows in Wugong Mountain are unique among the famous mountains at the same latitude in the world. 100,000 acres of meadows stretch on the top of the mountain with an altitude of more than 1,600 meters, penetrating the clouds and mist, green in spring and summer, golden in autumn, and white in winter. Visitors can enjoy the scenery of the north without going far to the border. It can be said to be "heavenly grassland, fairyland on earth, northern scenery, green home", and experts call it "strange mountains with meadows, unique in the world." Seeing it with your own eyes, it is indeed well-deserved.

It was a little early in the season so the grass wasn't all green yet, but it was still spectacular and Wugong Mountain didn't disappoint me.

I went to Wugong Mountain four times while studying at a university in Pingxiang. I saw green grass, dry grass, sunny days, rainy days... It's beautiful.

They say the scenery is different in each season. When I went there, it was already slowly turning yellow, which was also quite beautiful.

Entering the Jinding Scenic Area, the essence of Wugong Mountain: the alpine meadow finally came into view. Many tents were set up on the plank road. One side led to the Jinding and the other side led to the Tieti Peak. It was a major traffic route. There were toilets nearby. It was the best place to enjoy the sunset. The meadow under the setting sun was shining with golden light. This was the charm of Wugong Mountain in autumn. I don’t ask for a few more times in this life, but I hope I have no regrets at this moment. We left at the right time, just when the sun was setting.

Wugong Mountain is famous for the thousands of acres of alpine meadows on the top of the mountain, which is also the main reason why we traveled here! The meadow is very spectacular, especially in autumn (after October), the top of the mountain is golden, as if in a fairy tale, but the weather on the top of the mountain is changeable, and I missed the sunrise twice.

Starting from Longshan Village, after about 3 hours of dense forest, you will see endless alpine meadows, which are very beautiful.

The alpine meadows of Wugong Mountain are very unique: the endless, lush green grass covers the rolling hills, making the hills beautiful and green, making people feel particularly comfortable. Because the meadows are at a high altitude and the sight is not blocked, walking on the ridge line, you can enjoy the ink painting-like landscape in the distance. Another rare feature is that the wind on the mountain is very strong and the temperature is much lower than at the foot of the mountain, so it is very comfortable to hike on the meadows.

Sometimes it is cloudy and sometimes a gust of wind brings rain and fog. In the mist, you can instantly see the hazy meadow. It is so beautiful!

Alpine meadow is a high mountain on the essence of Wugong Mountain hiking route. Due to its high altitude, it belongs to the alpine meadow zone. I went there in spring. It was raining and I saw the sea of clouds. There was no sunrise, but I was very satisfied. Although the azaleas and yellow flowers were not in bloom and the grass was not green, the beauty of Wugong Mountain was still so capricious.

The meadow of Wugong Mountain is the most accessible place outside of the alpine meadows in the Western Regions. Looking around, the rolling green covers the mountains naturally like a carpet, and occasionally a few steep peaks like the work of nature break through the carpet and stand proudly among the sea of clouds.

The hikers walked out of a dirt road in the meadow. This is the legendary "there is no road in the world, but it becomes a road when people walk more". Unfortunately, before I could see enough, the fog slowly rose from the horizon, covering the meadow, and only the mist pine was looming.

The most essential section of Wugong Mountain is from Fayunjie to Jinding. I walked this route with a few friends in May last year. The weather was very good, there was no fog on the mountain, and the grass was not very tall. Standing on the hillside, I could see the 100,000 mu of meadow. The sea of clouds on the mountain was looming, which was very beautiful.

I don’t want to talk about Wugong Mountain. I went there once when I was in college and was so exhausted from setting up a tent. It was windy and rainy that day. I never want to live in a tent again in my life.

At 5 o'clock in the morning, I was still in the tent when I heard my companions coming out to watch the sunrise. I walked out of the tent with my camera. After a night of wind and freezing, my shoes were so cold. It was not easy to curl up to watch the sunrise. Fortunately, the sunrise did not disappoint us. It was the first time I saw a real sunrise on the mountain. It was beautiful. After watching the sunrise and eating hot soup noodles, we climbed the Golden Summit. In fact, it was not far from the tent site, only half an hour away. There were more tents on it, and there were many accommodation tents. There were also sacred altars, White Crane Temple and other historical sites on the Golden Summit.

Just think about how spectacular the 100,000-acre meadow in the clouds is. The blue sky reflects the golden meadow in autumn, which is so beautiful!

After sitting in a hard seat all night, we arrived in Pingxiang in the morning. We had breakfast and started to climb the mountain. The heavy rain did not stop. We arrived at Jinding at around 6 pm. The accommodation was a mess. We stayed in a room that looked like a temple and a cowshed. There was no electricity, the walls were full of bugs, and the quilt was wet. We slept down the mountain, and each person paid 100 yuan for a bed. We went to the toilet on the way, and the small one cost 5 yuan, the big one cost 10 yuan... and the water cost 5 yuan a bottle. The view from the top of the mountain was very good on the second day, and the scenery was beautiful. It takes a day to walk from Jinding to Fayunjie. We got up late and did not reach Fayunjie. On the third day, we walked down the mountain for 2.5 hours. The mountain was full of people. I shouted "My male god is in front!!!" and they quickly made way for me.

In July 2014, I went to Wugong Mountain with my classmates to see the alpine meadows. Although we encountered heavy rain for 2 days, we could only see the vastness of the sky and earth. But on the third day, the rain stopped and the sky cleared up. Walking on the endless meadows, the sea of clouds not far away gathered and dispersed, as if we were in a fairyland.

The mountains are covered with reeds, which are very beautiful under the sun. Many of the reeds are as tall as people, and people are submerged in the reeds.
