Jiangwan Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of about 27.4 square kilometers. It was completed and opened on June 20, 2001. It is about 28 kilometers away from Wuyuan County, about 96 kilometers away from Huangshan Scenic Area, and 1 kilometer away from the intersection of Jingwuhuang Expressway.
Jiangwan is an ancient village with rich Huizhou cultural heritage. The village preserves a large number of ancient Huizhou buildings such as Sanxing Hall, Dunchong Hall, Peixin Hall, Teng Family Old House, and Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, Jiangyong Memorial Hall, Nanguan Pavilion, Beidou Qixing Well and other attractions. In order to showcase the cultural characteristics of Wuyuan, Jiangwan Scenic Area has newly built attractions such as Baigongfang, Guchui Hall, and Commune Canteen, allowing tourists to experience the traditional skills of old craftsmen and watch traditional repertoires such as Hui Opera and Wuyuan Folk Songs, which have historical and ornamental value.

Jiangwan, in contrast to Xiaoqi, is the only 5A in Wuyuan, but it is not highly rated. If it weren’t for the package ticket, you might have missed it.
The actual experience is quite good.
Because of mature commercial development, at least the ancient buildings are open and fully utilized, and the three sculptures of Huizhou are more fully displayed.
Various folk exhibitions, museums and cinemas are also arranged, and the commercial area is thoughtfully concentrated on one side so that it can be avoided.
So I wandered around for more than two hours without realizing it.
Jiangwan Scenic Area is a scenic area located in the northeast of Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of 27.4 square kilometers. The scenic area was built in the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty. It was originally inhabited by people with surnames such as Teng, Ye, Bao, and Dai. Later, Jiang Di, the eighth ancestor of Xiaojiang, moved in and changed its name to Jiangwan. The architectural layout of Jiangwan Scenic Area is unique, with one street and six alleys forming a huge "An" shape, presenting a simple and beautiful style. The scenic area preserves ancient buildings such as the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, Jiangyong Memorial Hall, Sansheng Hall, and Dunchong Hall, showing the long-standing clan culture and Huizhou architectural style. In addition, the scenic area also has special attractions such as the Big Dipper Well, which embodies the essence of traditional Chinese Feng Shui.
Jiangwan is an ancient village with rich Huizhou cultural heritage. The village preserves a large number of ancient Huizhou buildings such as Sansheng Hall, Dunchong Hall, Peixin Hall, and Teng Family Old House, as well as attractions such as the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, Jiangyong Memorial Hall, Nanguan Pavilion, and the Big Dipper Well.
Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, also known as Yongsi Ancestral Hall, is located in Zhankeng Village, Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County, 32 kilometers away from Wuyuan County and about 2 kilometers from Jiangwan. It was first built in the sixth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1587), and was later destroyed in the war of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. It was rebuilt in 1924 (the 13th year of the Republic of China) and demolished again during the Cultural Revolution. Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall was once praised as the "best ancestral hall" among the 70 famous ancestral halls in Jiangnan and the first of the four ancient buildings in Wuyuan. In September 2003, it was rebuilt for the third time. The ancestral hall is full of royal style, covering an area of 2,400 square meters, and is divided into four parts: front yard, front hall, middle hall, and back hall. The front yard is a spacious garden with a half-moon shaped lotus pond with a bluestone railing, in which many kinds of fish are raised, such as red carp, grass carp and military fish; the front hall has a Five-Phoenix Tower, a Nine-ridged Roof, a Noon Gate and a Moon Tower, with beams, eaves and rafters cleverly decorated with carvings, vivid pictures and lifelike shapes; the central hall has thick beams and large pillars, a drum-shaped stone foundation, and the stone steps, stone railings and platforms are unique. The plaques and couplets are beautifully worded and have profound meanings; the back hall is higher than the front hall, and there is a pavilion to place spirit tablets.
Jiang Yong Memorial Hall is located at No. 58, Jiangwan North Gate Street, Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County. After renovation, Jiang Yong Memorial Hall opened to the public in May 2002. The hall is divided into four parts: the central hall, the living room (Shoujing Hall), Nongwanzhai, and the front of the hall. Jiang Yong's life, major works, and achievements are displayed in cabinets, display boards, and physical objects. Jiang Yong Memorial Hall has become the first township-run historical and cultural celebrity memorial hall in Jiangxi Province. In order to commemorate Jiang Yong, a generation of scholars from Jiangwan, the Jiangwan Town Government paid a large sum of money to buy the Hui-style building of Deqing Hall, which is a residential and private school. The building belongs to the same period of Qing Dynasty as Jiang Yong's former residence. The appearance is two houses with completely identical structures standing side by side, but it is actually one family. There is a courtyard wall in front of the house to separate it into a small courtyard, and its ground is paved with blue pebbles to form a diagram. The front door covers of the two houses are embedded with simple brick carving components. The window lattices and brackets of the halls and side rooms in the east and west houses are all inlaid with exquisite wood carvings. The three rooms in the west unit were once used as a private school by the owner, who invited teachers to teach his children. It was precisely because of its room structure of a private school that it was finally selected as the Jiang Yong Memorial Hall.
Sanshengtang is located in Jiangwan Scenic Area, Yunwan Road, Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It is the ancestral home of Jiang Qian, an educator and Buddhist scholar in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. The name of the hall comes from "The Analects of Confucius", implying that descendants will remember the moral cultivation of "I say three times to examine myself".
The Big Dipper Well is located in the Jiangwan Scenic Area of Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. The Big Dipper Well embodies the highest principle of Chinese Feng Shui, which is "the unity of heaven, earth and man". The Liyuan River on the south side is in the shape of a Tai Chi diagram "S".
After visiting Jiangling Scenic Area and Longwei Village, we went to Jiangwan for lunch. The bus stopped at the gate of the scenic area, which turned out to be a 5A scenic area. This scenic area was not included in our itinerary, so we took three photos at the gate.
Jiangwan Village was built in the early Tang Dynasty. Families with surnames such as Teng, Ye, Bao, and Dai lived together in the bend of Jiangwan River, gradually forming a large-scale village. In the second year of Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1079), Jiang Di, the eighth ancestor of Xiaojiang, moved to Jiangwan, and his descendants multiplied into a giant clan. Since the Tang Dynasty, Jiangwan has been a water and land transportation fortress for Wuyuan to the three provinces of Anhui, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi, and has become the eastern gate of Wuyuan. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, it has beautiful scenery, rich products, and flourishing literature. Green tea and snow pears have long been famous. It is also a well-deserved representative of Wuyuan's "Book Town". The village still preserves ancient Hui-style buildings such as Sanxing Hall, Dunchong Hall, and Peixin Hall, as well as public buildings such as Donghe Gate and Dam Well, which are of great historical and ornamental value.
Stay one night in Jiangwan, go shopping in chain supermarkets at night, eat delicious local fruits and snacks. Start the tour early the next morning. I like the Hui-style architecture of Jiangwan, the clear river surrounding Jiangwan and the Y-shaped bridge connecting the two villages, and listen to the wake-up call and the sound of reading from the school.
Jiangwan Village in Wuyuan County is an ancient village with a profound Hui style heritage.
There is a huge ancestral hall in Jiangwan, but it shows obvious signs of restoration... Apart from that, there is really nothing else to see, so we just took a walk around and left in a hurry.
Wangwan is a town in terms of level, but in fact it is a large village.
There is a pond and a nine-curve bridge at the entrance, and a wide square. On one side of the square is a stage, and on the other side is the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, which is larger than the Yu Ancestral Hall. Many of the houses here are newly built, arranged in neat rows, and the wide sidewalks in the middle have green plants and benches for people to rest. There are also shops everywhere and full of tourists, but it is cleaner and tidier than Likeng.
Everything is good, so good that it seems more like a tourist attraction than anywhere else.
Of course, what makes me most happy about Jiangwan is the Pear Garden.
Wuyuan is the only 5A scenic spot, probably because it is the hometown of a great man.
There is nothing left here except the celebrity effect and doubts about the 5A. The farmhouse dishes at the entrance of the village are very delicious.
The wooden bridge is outside the scenic area, and the Hui-style architecture here is very beautiful.
There are still Hui-style buildings with black tiles and white walls inside, and there will be a folk museum displaying some old objects.
You must go to Wuyuan on regular routes, and it is recommended to go and enjoy it.
Jiangwan is a relatively well-developed village. It is the most developed and prosperous village I have seen in Wuyuan. There is also a very decent ancestral temple and many distinctive and retro old houses.
The hometown of the great man, a 5A scenic spot, has very good facilities and services. There are many exhibitions in the scenic area introducing local folk culture, but there are fewer elements of natural scenery~
It is Jiang ZM’s hometown, so it is well-built and grand. There is also the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall inside, which is like a big garden.
It's OK, nothing special, but it's good to go and see it if you have the chance.
The scenery is quite ordinary. Apart from the stage, ancestral hall and archway at the entrance of the village, there are no particularly distinctive attractions. It is best to just take a look when passing by.
It's really not interesting. I saw this after riding for 4 hours in Wuyuan.
The most important thing to see in Jiangwan is the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, which is built in a magnificent style.
Then there are some Hui-style houses. The one-day tour master will take you to which road there are attractions, how to enter and exit, what to see at this attraction, where to take good photos, he is a living map. The master's photography skills are also very good, and our selfie stick is useless.
Compared with Huangling Jiangwan Village, which is extremely dilapidated, there are houses in disrepair everywhere, and the roads are complicated, with various small roads and alleys crisscrossing. We wandered around for a long time but couldn't find the scenic spot indicated by the landmark. So a few people braved the rain and held umbrellas like flies on their eyebrows, and the travel experience was very bad. Moreover, Jiangwan is the only 5A scenic spot in Wuyuan, which is really surprising.
Although Jiangwan is a 5A scenic spot, it has no highlights overall. The main street is full of businesses, and there are some celebrity residences in the alleys on both sides. If you have enough time, you can go shopping~
The scenic spots in Wuyuan are all Hui-style buildings, which have the local characteristics of the countryside. It still retains a lot of local cultural history. There are many souvenirs and small items in it. Just take a look. Taobao 9.9 free shipping.
The only 5A-level scenic spot in Wuyuan, it is very grand, but most of it is artificially modified later, lacking some of the original flavor.
To be honest, it was really boring. It happened to be raining a little, so I only walked around for more than half an hour before leaving.
The Jiang family of Jiangwan originally had the surname Xiao, not Jiang. They moved here to avoid disaster and changed their surname to Jiang, so the ancestral hall is called Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall.
The most disappointing attraction, except for the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall at the main entrance, there is only a row of renovated houses and vendors inside. If you don't buy anything, you can walk through it in 10 minutes.
There are no words to describe its pit
Not worthy of 5A. It is actually a new village remodeling their living area. The scenery is only natural flowers blooming in spring, otherwise it is really not worth seeing.
The only 5A scenic spot in Wuyuan, it is known as the "hometown of great men". Jiangwan is not a village, but a town at the administrative level, and it is a very wealthy town.
There are ancient Hui-style buildings such as Sansheng Hall, Dunchong Hall and Peixin Hall in Jiangwan that can be visited, but apart from that there is not much to see.
If you stroll through the alleys of Jiangwan, it seems that there are still a few traces of simplicity and oldness left. I am afraid that this simplicity and oldness will gradually disappear from people's sight with the development of the scenic area.
When I raised the drone, I was surprised by the neatly arranged houses and prosperous scene in Jiangwan: but it is precisely because of such "perfect" planning that Jiangwan lacks the tranquility and comfort of the countryside.
Jiangwan is a cultural scenic spot. If you want to get a deeper understanding, it is best to hire a tour guide. For people like me who came to take pictures of flowers, I just walked around Jiangwan and left in a hurry.
It is about 10 kilometers from Wangkou to Jiangwan, and it only takes half an hour to drive there. I passed Xiaoqi in the middle and went in for a stroll. After more than a day, I seemed to be aesthetically tired of this kind of village.
Jiangwan is the hometown of a great man and a nationally rated 5A scenic spot. It is the place with the highest concentration of Hui-style architecture and also has the former residences of various celebrities.
Our trip was mainly for sightseeing and photography, so we didn't hire a tour guide. We just took pictures wherever we saw. The whole scenic area has no other major features except the houses. We walked along the central street, through the bustling crowd, looking for more beautiful scenery along the way. We went up the steps and climbed up a hill overlooking Jiangwan. We finally reached an observation deck along the plank road and took the most beautiful pictures of the town of Jiangwan.
Jiangwan is located at a fork in the road, with Jiangling to the north and Huangling to the south.
Jiangwan, I used the pass I bought online, and now I regret it, it's really unnecessary. I can just go to a few places, but later I found out that some of them are not here at all, such as Qingyuan Village, which has a good reputation online, and the round village, all of which require separate tickets, 20 yuan each. I really want to ask, why! Isn't it a pass? I accidentally walked the wrong way, and I found that I walked from the scenic area to the residential area. In fact, many places in the scenic area here are like this, the scenic area and the residential area are next to each other, you can walk and walk, you know.
This is a stop I was looking forward to. I stayed here for one night, walking and looking around slowly by myself. It was pretty good, and it was convenient for eating and staying.
Jiang Core's home is magnificent, with decorations everywhere, either in words or in pictures. We, the common people, should still care about the flavor of food and drink. Life in Jiangnan is so nourishing, and if you are tired of the smog, just immigrate.
Those who like to browse Taobao can stroll around leisurely. After seeing the beautiful scenery of Huangling, we don’t want to continue shopping here...
There is a house in the village that makes delicious rice milk, fragrant, warm and refreshing. The others are camphor wood combs, handicrafts and the like.
If you pass by, just go in and take a look. If you don’t pass by, you won’t regret it if you don’t go.
It is best to join a tour group and follow them. It will be more interesting if they introduce some of the ancient buildings.
2017-3-17
One of the attractions in the pass, it was raining, I walked around and it was quite unique
It seems to be the hometown of a certain leader. There is an ancestral hall. Overall, it is more commercial. The scenery is just so-so.
There is absolutely nothing to see. I walked to the end in two minutes. It was a residential area. I was disappointed.
The existence is well maintained and has not been vigorously developed. If there are not many tourists, it is very quiet and you can walk slowly. But forget it if there are too many people
It's a man-made attraction, and there's no village atmosphere at all. But the building is very tall and grand, and it's nice to take a look around if there aren't many people.
The most lively town, with a history, no way
During college, my class organized a trip to Jiangwan. It was a newly restored town. When I went there, there were shops all around.
It feels like many of the houses in the village have been renovated and no longer have the traces of their past. Only in some details can you still see the marks of their past history.
There is nothing interesting to see in the renovated village, but the scenery by the river outside the village is nice.
The architecture of Jiangwan Village is very distinctive, a small village in the south of the Yangtze River
I went to this village because the tour guide said it was Lao Jiang's hometown. It was OK.
Jiangwan Village, April 24, 2004, Wuyuan.
The houses are relatively new, with a strong commercial atmosphere and a prominent cultural color.
After entering the archway of Jiangwan, keep walking along the road until you reach a place where it says that the local residential area is ahead. Keep walking a few steps in and it will be on the right. The food is delicious and inexpensive, highly recommended.
Jiangwan has a strong cultural atmosphere. Compared with other villages in Wuyuan, Jiangwan is much larger. It is the hometown of the Xiaojiang people, and there are many stories and legends here...
It's a 5A-level scenic spot with stalls set up by locals everywhere. I personally feel it's very ordinary.
It is rumored online that the minibus will stop near the gas station, but in fact it will stop at the tourist attraction.
There is a free shuttle bus between the scenic spot and the gas station (the waiting time is very touching)
It would be very convenient to live directly near the scenic spot.
It's just a street. Not worth going. . . . .
The folk customs in Jiangwan are very good. The snacks are cheap and clean. The village is big, but the feeling of these villages is basically the same.
I just passed by and didn't enter the scenic area, but there weren't many people during the Spring Festival.
It should be considered the core town of Wuyuan. There is a huge Jiang's ancestral hall.
Compared with Likeng, Jiangwan is a more grand, lively and full of life village, because there are cute children running around in the village, old people resting with their eyes closed in the sun and women washing vegetables diligently.
The history of Jiangwan has also made the carvings of the ancestral halls here intricate and gorgeous, with eaves and corners of varying heights. The village is like a maze, as if you will get lost in history if you are not careful.
An hour is enough for the tour. Because many of the former residences are dilapidated, and some of the footprints of certain leaders and the old sites of their families are probably not of interest to many people, so the tour time will not be too long. Even without a tour guide, you can basically walk around and ask the villagers and get out.
Micro-style architecture, unique, ancient villages integrated with nature
Relatively speaking, Jiangwan and Likeng are still worth a visit!
Jiangwan has a stronger commercial atmosphere than other places, but the accessories sold here are cheaper than those in Likeng.
Jiangwan Village was built in the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty and is one of the few thousand-year-old ancient towns in Wuyuan.
Jiangwan is the most important place in Wuyuan. Wuyuan's development today is all thanks to a big boss here. The ancestral hall in Jiangwan Village is very grand, and the wooden structure shows the rich historical heritage of this family. Jiangwan Scenic Area has the best supporting facilities among the several scenic spots in Wuyuan that I have visited. The paths in the village are clean and sanitary, and the signs are clear. You know, this small village is a 5A scenic spot!
Jiangwan Village should have retained its original style. After all, there is a division between residential areas and scenic areas, but the signs are not very clear, and I often get lost when walking around. And the parking lot is really far from the scenic area... It takes about 10 minutes to walk. I don’t remember the name of the largest ancestral hall, but the Dingbing inside is really recommended. The osmanthus one is especially delicious!
The scenic area is a 5A scenic spot with many man-made landscapes and most of the ancient buildings have been restored today!
Jiangwan Village is called a village, but it is actually an ancient town. It is the eastern gate of Wuyuan, 20 kilometers away from the county seat. The ancient town was built in the early Tang Dynasty. I personally think it is the most worthwhile tourist destination in Wuyuan. It is very pleasant to have a meal in the restaurant in the town. The wooden products in the town are very distinctive, such as wooden chairs, wood carvings, etc.
A classic Huizhou village with the magnificent Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, it is said to be the hometown of a certain leader.
Only when you come to Jiangwan can you feel the grandeur of a prominent family. In the second year of Yuanfeng in the reign of Emperor Shenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Jiang Di, the eighth ancestor of Xiaojiang, moved to Jiangwan and gradually grew stronger in Jiangwan. The village still has ancient Hui-style buildings such as Sanxing Hall, Dunchong Hall, and Peixin Hall, as well as public buildings such as Donghe Gate and Dam Well. In particular, the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall is very grand, with a full wooden structure and is very large. Another special thing about Jiangwan is that it is easy to get lost. It does feel a bit lost walking inside. I heard that during the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese devils entered the village and could not get out, and were wiped out inside.
I spent a long time visiting these attractions. The air was very good and the people were very simple.
Living in Zhiyuan in Jiangwan, I feel that the cost performance is very high! The surrounding scenery is also great!
Just because it is the hometown of celebrities, I feel that it is a big investment. It's just average.
This attraction is my least favorite one in this tour, so I stayed there for a relatively short time. I didn’t want to continue visiting it after about an hour.
The Jiangshi family was originally a famous family in the local area, but it became so famous because a certain leader emerged later, who was the 38th generation grandson of a branch of the Jiangshi family. The commercial atmosphere here is too strong. We basically didn't see any original residents. All the shops were doing business. It felt similar to the City God Temple, so I walked around for a while, but didn't have much interest, so I prepared to go to the next attraction.
There are no flowers or grass, and they are all commercial attractions. There is no need to go.
The view is very broad, and it is a small village worth visiting.
The village is quite large and has many distinctive buildings. You can go and have a look!
Jiangwan Scenic Area in the northeast of Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, is a patriotism education base in Jiangxi Province. The scenic area was first built in the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Jiang Di, the eighth ancestor of Xiao Jiang, moved to Jiangwan. After his descendants multiplied into a giant clan, the name was changed to Jiangwan.
Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the scenery is charming. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it has produced 38 champions, Jinshi and officials, 19 literati and scholars, and 92 works handed down from generation to generation, of which 15 volumes and 16 volumes were selected into the Sikuquanshu, which is the representative of Wuyuan's "book town". A large number of ancient buildings of the Hui style, such as Sanxing Hall and Dunchong Hall, are preserved in the scenic area, as well as Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, Jiangyong Memorial Hall and other attractions. Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall was once praised as "the best ancestral hall" among the 70 famous ancestral halls in Jiangnan. In addition, the scenic area has also newly built attractions such as Baigongfang, Guchui Hall, and Commune Canteen.
