Bangchuidao is actually a very small island, and tourists are not allowed on it. You can view it from a distance or take a boat tour to see it up close. However, the Bangchuidao scenic area is very large. Surrounding Bangchuidao are resorts with mountains, sea, islands, and beaches. Accommodation, dining, and shopping are all available within the scenic area. The entrance fee to the Bangchuidao scenic area is 20 yuan. You can drive all the way to the seaside parking lot or enjoy the towering trees and shady greenery along the way. However, be sure not to park randomly, as you will be warned or even fined. It is not very convenient to get here by bus. After getting off the bus, you have to walk about 5 kilometers because the scenic area is so large, unless you want to enjoy the whole process.

In the depths of spring, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, Bangchuidao Island is ablaze with vibrant colors. In good weather, the lake shimmers, creating a truly stunning sight! However, on this visit, there were only young willows and a few newly blooming cherry blossoms. You have to go at the right time to experience breathtaking scenery! The nearby restaurants are a bit far, so it's best to bring some food along for the drive. Overall, it's a great place to visit, and the light blue sea is a delight to look at!

It's a long journey from the entrance to the scenic area. There are hotels and villas on the road and there is nothing special. You can choose to take a tourist electric car or walk to enjoy the scenery on both sides of the road.

This is actually a beach. Opposite the beach is an island that is shaped like a hammer. You can view it from a distance or take a speedboat to see it up close, but you cannot go onto the island. The scenery is okay, but there is some garbage and floating objects on the sea that are really unsightly.

The far right side of the scenic area is far away from the noisy area. I stayed here for a long time, sitting on the relatively quiet shore, watching the wooden boats rise and fall on the sea. After taking pictures, I don’t know what I was thinking. Maybe emptying myself is also a way to vacation.

Having just experienced a "scalding feet" trek at Hai Zhi Yun, we were all so hot and tired when we arrived at Bang Chui Island that we didn't want to move.

At the north gate, I wanted to take an electric car, but when I saw people queuing, I plucked up the courage to go inside.

This scenic area not only has the best bathing beach in Dalian, but also has carefully groomed lawns and trees along the way. The winding trails connect hotels of different styles. Two or three couples who came to take wedding photos were posing at the request of the photographer.

This place was originally used to receive national leaders, including the Chairman and the Premier. On the beach stands a large stone inscribed with the characters "Bangchuidao." These characters are Chairman Mao's original handwriting, a transcription of the caption from a poem written by Marshal Ye Shih during his stay on Bangchuidao: "The poem was written about Bangchuidao, Dalian."

After about 20 minutes, after turning a corner, we felt the sea breeze and the refreshing smell of the ocean. This was undoubtedly the healthiest and most harmless stimulant, giving our tired bodies enough strength to finally find a relatively open area in the gap between the crowds. Then, we collapsed together, lay down, breathed deeply, and even shouted loudly.

The child perked up instantly. This was his first time facing such a vast ocean, standing opposite this giant "hammer." We'd seen the sea before, on the levee in Tianjin and on a boat in Dongying, but nothing could compare to the crystal clear waters here. Especially on a clear afternoon, against the backdrop of the blue sky, the lush greenery and the silvery beaches along the coast, and after a day of scorching heat, this transparent, refreshing blue assaulted every sense.

Ticket price: 20 yuan

Recommended play time: 2-4 hours, mainly depending on the swimming time.

Transportation: The only drawback.

The nearest metro stations are Hutan New District on Line 5 (about 2 kilometers) and Haizhiyun on Line 2 (about 2.5 kilometers). We arrived at Haizhiyun and walked through a park. Getting there by taxi might be easier, but leaving is incredibly difficult. I tried, but the line lasted 40 minutes, so I gave up.

Individual tourists can enter and exit the North Gate via Bus 90, a summer tourist route that may not operate in winter. Fares start at 2 yuan. However, the map navigation shows it at the South Gate, likely due to the increased stops during the summer peak season. You can take a few stops to exit the scenic area and then take a taxi.

Alternatively, there's a special tourist bus that goes directly to Oriental Venice. Each bus takes about 30 minutes and costs 10 yuan. The bus intervals are about 20-30 minutes. We ultimately chose to take the special bus to Oriental Venice.

From a distance, the reefs of Bangchui Island resemble a mallet. The waters and sky are azure blue, and the shores are crystal clear. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and the ocean on one side, Bangchui Island is surrounded by mountains and verdant pines and cypresses to the north. The island boasts steep cliffs, jagged rocks, and wildflowers and grasses. To the south, there's open water and a flat, sandy beach. The 2.3-kilometer-long beachfront features a bathing beach, with both fine sand and pebbled areas, perfect for strolling and enjoying the sea.

By Tianzhi Baijing |

Ordinary people shouldn't go there. The scenery is beautiful, but many people who want to see it are not allowed to. There are a lot of shills at the entrance who just take you away. The management is not very standardized. Taxis are also difficult to get. If you are just looking for a relaxing vacation and want to book a hotel, you can stay here directly. It is a good place.

By China-TravelNote users |

I have to complain about Bangchui Island. The scenery is beautiful, needless to say. The attitude of the staff in the clothed shower room was terrible. You can't scan the code to pay, so you have to go to the water stall next to it, and buy water for a lot of money. What a trick. Secondly, because the ticket office is far from the beach, I bought the electric car fee at the same time as the ticket. It turned out to be a one-way trip. That would have been fine, but when I came back, I took the electric car. The fee was charged without a ticket. I just scanned the code to the staff. Thirdly, when I arrived at the entrance of the scenic spot, a few big men came over and asked where I was going to take a taxi. I thought I was taking an illegal taxi, and then I saw a taxi next to it. When I arrived, I realized it was them. Not only did they not use the meter, but they also said that this is the meaning of their existence. It's really disgusting. In the end, I took a Didi, and they didn't let me pay after waiting for half an hour.

On the last day in Dalian, the weather was great, so we planned to go to the beach on Bangchui Island.

transportation

There is no bus from the city to Bangchui Island. If you take the bus, you have to walk a long way to get to the gate of Bangchui Island Hotel. So we took Didi directly, which cost about 25 yuan and was very convenient.

The Bangchui Island Scenic Area includes the Bangchui Island and the hotel, which can be viewed from a distance. Many national leaders have visited it. The scenery is very beautiful and it is very famous in Dalian.

However, Bangchui Island is closed to tourists. Talking to the locals, you will find that if there is infrastructure maintenance or large-scale activities in the park, no one except hotel guests can enter.

We just encountered such a situation. If Bangchui Island cannot be entered, just go to Haizhiyun Park on the left and you can also see Bangchui Island at the Rising Sun Square on the top of the mountain.

By Manmoray-Fish |

There are a lot of people, so it is recommended to avoid peak hours. In addition, there are fewer restaurants.

By hyacinth! |

You can see it when you land at Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport.

By Star Traveler |

The sea is so beautiful! The seafood is also delicious! In the past, because it was a state guesthouse, the greenery and trees were also very beautifully maintained. It is definitely worth a visit.

By Chinese Eagle |

The name of Bangchui Island comes from the fact that there is a small island standing abruptly on the sea 500 meters away from the shore. From a distance, it looks very much like a mallet used by farmers to pound clothes, so it is called Bangchui Island.

By Xiaokui |

It was not open on the day I went... I could only see it from the angle of Binhai Road. What a pity.

By Leonie |

I recommend you stay on the island if you have the chance, it seems that not many people live there, the scenery is beautiful and there are not many people.

You can watch the moon at the beach or in the house at night

The water at the seaside is very clear

By . |

The road leading to Bangchuidao is very beautiful. It is very pleasant to enjoy the scenery while walking.

By grace |

It's really beautiful when the weather is good. Please note that if you go out late, there will be no buses and you can only take a taxi at the door (I couldn't get one using the taxi-hailing app, maybe it's the off-season). The fare is not metered, so you can negotiate the price and share a ride. The price is reasonable.

By overtake |

The water quality is very good, suitable for staying overnight in the scenic area and strolling along the beach in the morning and evening. It is also a must-see place when visiting Dalian.

By Ziyuan |

A scenic spot dominated by mountains, sea, islands, and beaches. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea on one side, it is surrounded by mountains to the north and faces the open sea and an uneven pebble beach to the south. Central government leaders have stayed here. Bangchui Island gets its name from a small island that stands out 500 meters offshore. From a distance, it resembles a farmer's mallet, hence the name. There's a rock in the sea that can only be seen by walking to the left end facing the sea. Sitting on the pebble beach and staring out at the sea is truly relaxing.

By Ma Xiaosa |

Bangchuidao Island is located in the Bangchuidao Hotel complex. You need to buy a separate ticket and you don't need to take the shuttle bus. It's not far to the beach. The sea water is very blue and clean, and it's suitable for swimming. If you don't go in the water, you can only take a simple look at the scenery.

By Mr. Fei is an atypical boss |

It's just too ordinary, nothing interesting, just a pebble beach and a few villas of high-ranking officials. Very boring. If you want to go to a proper beach, you should go to Golden Pebble Beach.

By Easy to carryToGooDay |

The pebble beach is a great place for families to come and set up a tent, sunbathe, and have a meal together during the summer. Although it is quite crowded, the sanitation is relatively good.

By Curly Cat |

It started raining in the morning and I thought there wouldn't be many people, but there were still huge crowds.

You can drive directly into the scenic area for 60 yuan per car, passing through a group of holiday villas and reaching the waterside parking lot. There are not many parking spaces.

It is said that this is a relatively clean seaside in Dalian. Well... maybe it is because it is a cloudy day. The water and the sky are gray, but there is not much aquatic plant or garbage in the water.

It's not a beach but rocks, so you must wear a pair of flat slippers, otherwise you really can't stand this foot massage...

We played in the rain for three hours without realizing it. Finally, my husband went to the corner to feed the seagulls for a while, which attracted the birds and many people to take pictures.

It seems that the temperature has risen a lot after the rain stopped, and there are more and more tourists. If you don’t have an umbrella or a tent on a sunny day, you will be very hot.

What you see in the distance is Bangchui Island, which you can visit by speedboat.

By Tattoo Lover |

I like it very much and had a lot of fun. The itinerary is very reasonable and relaxing. It is not tight and we can enjoy the essence of Dalian. Dalian is really beautiful. The tour guide is a very careful sister. She also prepared a lot of delicious specialties. I was not very tired but very happy after a day. I highly recommend it!

By Nature Music Essays |

The environment is nice, the sea water is crystal clear, and except for the fact that there are no pebbles on the beach, everything else is good!

By Lunch Box |

You can go and see it on a cool afternoon, but you don't need to stay at the Bangchuidao Hotel.

By Little Demon |

There is no beach on the island's coast, only large pebbles. My son picked up about two pounds of pebbles and asked me to carry them home.

My son loved the bench on the island for resting and he jumped on it as soon as he saw it!

The small waterfall is man-made.

By Anki Sauce |

The eyes are full of green, with a few white villas flashing occasionally, giving a feeling of "a winding path leading to a secluded place".

The waters of Bangchuidao are exceptionally clean, with the shores mostly covered with smooth pebbles, and very few of the impurities such as shell debris and glass fragments seen in Fujiazhuang.

Besides rocks, the most abundant thing on the shore is actually—kelp?!

The scenery here can be said to be at the legendary level of "facing the sea, spring flowers blooming", quiet and peaceful, worthy of being a state-level resort.

By Biopsy |

The scenery is beautiful and the mountains and rivers are so beautiful that it is worth a visit.

By Junior Dark |

The scenery is nice. What's different is that the beach is not sand, but pebbles, so you can hear the "rustling" sound when the waves come and go, which is very interesting. The fog on the sea is a bit heavy, making the island look a bit hazy.

By Xiaoxiao |

Bangchuidao has always been praised for how wonderful it is. I'm from another place, and I went there today to experience it. The scenery is nice, but the service is really poor. I also recommend that everyone not go there. Some tourists went to one side of the coast, but there were no signs prohibiting them and no one warned them. As a result, a guy came and cursed at them. He also shouted shamelessly. I don't have the video. If I did, I would really complain. It's annoying. I've lost interest. What's the point of having beautiful scenery?

By LTT℡¹³⁹⁵²¹6 |

The sea and sky are one color, it really looks like a mallet. It is recommended to take a sightseeing bus to go in and out. It is all uphill when going in and all downhill when coming out. The scenery along the way is good.

By carey |

The guide says that this is a tourist spot and there is nothing good to do there. This is nonsense. The ticket is 20 yuan, and the one-way shuttle bus is 10 yuan. The shuttle bus takes you to the beach.

It is recommended to take the shuttle bus in and walk out (1.8 kilometers), and take some photos by the way, because the garden is also very beautiful.

The average cost is ¥30-¥40 per person, which is very worthwhile. The sea water is the clearest I have seen in the past few days, and the coast is all pebbles, no sand, very clean and beautiful.

By Xiaowaner |

According to the local driver, Bangchui Island has the best air in Dalian. After visiting, I was able to breathe in the air and the natural environment was truly amazing. I didn't go in the water, but I walked along the shore. Because it's a rocky beach, I didn't have to worry about sand getting in my shoes.

By Lan Jingling (Hu Jing) |

Time has stolen the summer, but Bangchuidao has stolen my language. The sky and cloud blend into one, the water and sky into one. The blue of Bangchuidao is breathtakingly beautiful, sometimes even a touch unreal. Mountains, sea, islands, beaches, wildflowers, and wild grasses form a beautiful canvas, akin to a paradise. Bangchuidao is a land of many colors. When shrouded in mist and rain, it resembles a fairyland, a breathtaking beauty.

By Traveler 2012 |

From the land, Bangchui Island is just a lonely big reef.

Various sea creatures are carved on the rocks of Bangchui Island, which are very lifelike.

Bangchui Island is particularly famous for the resort villas scattered around the island.

Not far up the mountain road, you can see pavilions and towers hidden among the green trees and lawns.

By MissZ |

The environment of Bangchuidao is very beautiful and the water is very clean

By Southern Sun |

Highly recommended! In order to preserve the clearest waters, Dalian has prevented any bus or subway from directly reaching Bangchuidao Scenic Area.

Dalian has the cleanest water and the cleanest beach in Bangchui Island. The water is very clear and Bangchui Island seems to be suspended in the sky. It is truly a masterpiece of nature.

Getting there: Bangchui Island only has a west gate, hidden away on Binhai Road. There are no direct buses or subways to Bangchui Island, and walking there can cause leg cramps. My recommendation: Take Subway Line 2 to Haizhiyun Park, then to the north gate of Haizhiyun Park. Then, take the electric shuttle bus around the scenic area for 30 yuan round trip. The bus doesn't stop on the way there and takes you directly to Haizhiyun's south gate, which is across from the main entrance to Bangchui Island.

The ticket to Bangchuidao is 20 yuan per person. Walk to the beach and the scenery on both sides is very beautiful.

By Tonne |

The weather was originally sunny that day, but it was a little cloudy and foggy in the afternoon, but it did not affect the photography. The water here is still very clean.

By Rabbitʕ •ᴥ•ʔ |

The environment is OK. If you have more time, you can walk around freely. If you are in a hurry, just take the tram to the beach of Bangchui Island. It looks like a popular photo spot.

By Liu Xiaose7en |

Bangchuidao is so beautiful during the May Day holiday! It's definitely worth a visit!

By marquis_z |

After entering, you have to walk a bit, but the environment is really nice. There's also 3D art to explore. I took my kids on a speedboat ride. It cost 100 yuan per adult and 50 yuan per child. It was very safe and not too fast at all. When the boat approached the side of the island, they offered to take some photos of Bangchuidao. I said I didn't have a camera, and they asked, "Where's my phone?" I said I didn't either. They were very frustrated. "I had no idea you were going so slowly. I was ready to get splashed."

The water at Bangchuidao is the clearest, and the beach is rocky. Children can pick up stones and play with them.

By He Anfei |

It snowed in Dalian in April! I completely missed the beautiful scenery of Bangchui Island.

Tickets are 20 yuan, and vehicles are 10 yuan. Cars can drive to the beach.

There is a small island in the middle of the sea, which should be Bangchuidao. However, due to the weather, the island seems to be there and not there.

The transportation to Bangchuidao is not very convenient, so hiking is also a good choice. The road is very clean and green.

By Dalian Yin Zhongchao |

It is a scenic spot with good scenery in Dalian. The ticket price is not expensive, but it is too crowded in summer. In May, the scenic spot has a sea of flowers, which is very beautiful.

By Stone |

The scenery is beautiful, the beach is comfortable, and the waves are huge...

By Meow Little Monster |

This is definitely worth a visit, the scenery is beautiful and there are many spots to take photos.

By Martian User |

Hidden in the woods on a small hill, it is very quiet. You can take a taxi to the door, buy a ticket and walk in by yourself. There is no noise from the scenic area.

The beach is a pebble beach, so you don't have to worry about sand getting into your feet. Just bring a placemat and lie down.

There aren't many people, probably because they have to pay 233333

Bangchui Island is inaccessible by car, making it quite arduous to reach without a car. Yang Baba called a private car to take us directly to the Bangchui Island scenic area. Fortunately, it was a seven-seater Buick commercial vehicle, and the ride was very comfortable. The driver avoided the main roads, taking Binhai Middle Road and winding mountain roads, saying that we could enjoy the scenery without traffic jams. The scenery was indeed beautiful, though the driving was a bit dizzying. The entrance fee was 20 yuan. Three students who didn't have their student IDs ran to the window and asked if they could accommodate us. As a result, even I, as a student, got a discounted ticket. The scenic area is beautifully landscaped. It is a scenic spot with mountains, sea, islands, and beaches as its main features. The famous Bangchui Island Hotel, one of China's major state guesthouses, is located here. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side, it is named Bangchui Island because a small island protrudes from the sea 500 meters offshore. From a distance, it looks very much like a farmer's mallet used to pound clothes. It has become a retreat for many leaders. The beach is a rocky beach and the water is very clean.

The scenic area is located in the Bangchuidao Hotel. The ticket price is 20 yuan, and the battery car is 10 yuan one way. Except for the limited and expensive food, it is still worth a visit. Don't climb the Wanghai Pavilion. You can hardly see the sea when you go up because it is blocked by trees.

There is a scenic spot that the city tour bus passes by. Most people will go in. The entrance fee is 20 yuan and the one-way ticket is 10 yuan. I think it’s just average.

The vast ocean, the clear water, the blue sky, the rolling hills, and the occasional flock of seagulls dancing over the surface of the water, elicited bursts of exclamations. Watching this seascape up close from a speedboat was truly exhilarating and delightful. I'll always love the ocean!

I regretted that I went there in winter and didn't see the beauty that should belong to him.

It's really great!!! I deliberately missed the peak period to go there. I suggest that you don't take illegal taxis on the way back. You can call a Didi after walking for more than 20 minutes. The scenery on the way back is very good. The sea water is still very blue. Compared with the previous visit to Xiamen, the sea water is more beautiful.

You need luck to see the whole picture of Bangchuidao. The tour guide said that the weather was clear on the two days we went this month, so we could see it. If the weather was bad, we would not be able to see it clearly.

The water is very clean. Take the electric car when you enter the gate. After you come out, take a Didi taxi. Don't take the local black car.

By Hidden. |

The sea in Bangchuidao is really beautiful, but the road to Bangchuidao is relatively remote and the transportation is not very convenient. Unless you drive yourself, you can only take an illegal car (you will be ripped off in minutes) or a tourist bus (20 yuan/person) after leaving the scenic area. It is difficult to get a taxi (including Didi).

By mrnolo |

We went there in the afternoon and spent half a day at Tiger Beach. We arrived at Bangchuidao at around 5 o'clock. There were a lot of people there. God was very kind and the rain stopped after only one minute. I didn't bring slippers, but I couldn't help but walk in the clean sea water. The evening sea breeze blew away all my worries. I could really sit quietly for a whole day. It's worth a visit. Some places can't be felt by looking at photos.

I took a taxi to Bangchuidao early in the morning. It took about 20 minutes to walk from the entrance to the beach. There were no trees on the first section of the road, so it was a bit sunny...

When we went there, the fog was quite thick. Bangchuidao was shrouded in mist and clouds. It felt like we were going to cultivate immortality...

(PS: Try to bring your own water, a bottle of Nongfu Spring costs 5 yuan at the Bangchuidao store ==)

Bangchuidao is not a beach, but pebbles, which is great! The water is also very clear, a little cool in the morning ==

Sitting on the pebbles and feeling the sea, I feel particularly comfortable. I love the smell of the sea! !

I met the tram. I like walking on the road like this. I can meet what I like at will.

Our driver took us along a beautiful stretch of Haibin Road. Dalian's roads are similar to those in Qingdao, with uneven terrain and sometimes high and sometimes low. It's worth mentioning that the greenery is quite good, and the environment is absolutely clean. Beautiful!

Bangchuidao Scenic Area is a place worth visiting

The overall water quality is not as good as it was 5 years ago, but it is still quite good compared to similar parks. There are more tourists than before, and the park environment is beautiful, but there are many vehicles, so you need to pay attention to driving safety. There is no beach, it is a rocky beach, and it is far from the hotel to the beach. You need to go through several large ups and downs, which is tiring to push the children.

I always thought it was Bangchui Island, but it turns out it is not. It is not large in area, but very quiet.

It should be very nice to go there in summer, with a wide view and very good greenery.

It feels great to go out to sea, with gusts of sea breeze and seagulls flying around you. The sea and sky are blue, and the water and sky are one color. It's very cool and highly recommended.

Not recommended! Typical tourist attraction, no amazing scenery, just too many people and bad scenery

I haven't been to Dalian for many years. Today I have some free time and finally I can check it out. I can only give it an average evaluation. It's not worth it and there are no particularly beautiful scenery. The ticket is 20 yuan per person and the entrance fee is 20 yuan. It feels like an ordinary beach and a bunch of lawns. I was not amazed.

There are basically no public services. It is probably a place where leaders come.

We went there on a foggy day, and when the wind blew, it was like a fairyland.

I have been to Dalian for so many days, and I think it is the only place worth visiting. It is really beautiful, the sea is very blue, and it completely exceeded my expectations.

Listening to the tour guide, the name sounds very impressive, but there are limited places to visit, so don't have too high expectations.
