The bus ride from Dandong to Lvjiang Village takes about 4.5 hours. While it's a bit of a journey, it's definitely worth the trip. Of course, it's best to have someone to guide you. I was lucky enough to have the owner and driver at Haiping Farm be incredibly nice. The food and accommodation were beyond expectations. If you get along well with the driver, you can hear stories others don't know. I originally wanted to climb Shenxianling to see the sea of clouds, but it wasn't foggy that day, so I didn't see it. However, watching the sun rise was worth it, and the scenery on the way down the mountain after daybreak was also beautiful. (All photos are taken by myself, so I haven't edited them. It's truly worth the trip.)

If you go to Lvjiang Village during holidays, be sure to buy bus tickets in advance. It will be a bit cold at night and in the morning, so be sure to bring a thicker coat, especially when climbing Shenxianling, it will be very cold after sunrise.

In Dandong, Liaoning, lies a small mountain village called Lujiang, situated across the river from North Korea. Here, the Yalu and Hunjiang rivers converge, making a dramatic 180-degree turn as they flow through Lujiang Village, creating a peninsula. During the dry season, locals cultivate crops on the exposed mudflats. When the water level rises, some low-lying fields are submerged, leaving the exposed areas as small green islands in the river. The fertile mudflats, home to mountains and water, flowers and grass, pastures for cattle and sheep, and the sounds of fishermen singing in the evening, have earned Lujiang the nickname "the Shangri-La of the North."

Lvjiang Village has been developing tourism for many years, but its people remain simple and honest. It focuses on eco-tourism, devoid of any artificially developed attractions. Every May and June, when the skies are clear and the clouds are light, Lvjiang Village's 3,000 acres of rapeseed flowers bloom. The swaying yellow blossoms resemble a vibrant oil painting, set against the blue sky and white clouds and the vibrant fields on the mudflats, creating a paradise-like scene.

Langtou is a small unit from Lvjiang Village. You have to take a narrow border patrol road, which can be difficult to pass. But the scenery is unparalleled. Stay in peace and relax.

Lujiang Village is located in Kuandian County, Dandong, Liaoning Province, bordering Jilin and facing North Korea across the river. The beautiful Yalu and Hunjiang Rivers converge here, winding like a turquoise ribbon, encircling the small mountain village on a small peninsula. North Korea lies across, China lies on this side, and the Yalu River stretches across. Two rivers in one glance, three worlds in one foot.

I saw Lujiang online and was so impressed by its beauty that I decided to visit. I took a two-hour train to Dandong, then a four-hour bus directly to Lujiang. The scenery along the way was truly breathtaking. Yellow flowers lined the road, and the sky was strikingly blue. After arriving in Lujiang, I heard that Li Qiang Fish Restaurant's specialty carp was delicious, so I called the owner, Brother Qiang. He drove over to pick me up, chatting and laughing with me about the local scenery and interesting stories along the way. Upon arrival, I chose a room and unloaded my belongings. The accommodation was very clean. I couldn't wait to try the specialty carp, and after about half an hour's wait, I finally got my fill. It was surprisingly delicious! Highly recommended! Afterward, Brother Qiang took me on a boat ride to take photos. We also watched the sunrise and sunset on both days. I was truly amazed by nature's wonders! The departure date was also courtesy of Brother Qiang. The owner and his wife were very welcoming, and the entire trip was a relaxing one! I'll definitely be back next time I have the chance.

Lujiang Village, its most beautiful season has arrived



This beautiful, secluded mountain village is located in Dandong, Liaoning Province, in China's northeastern corner, 500 kilometers from Dalian. The toll is 160 yuan, taking the highway from Dengshahe and exiting at Taipingshao. Bordering Jilin and separated from North Korea by a single river, the beautiful Yalu and Hunjiang Rivers converge here, winding like a turquoise ribbon, encircling the village on a small peninsula. The saying "two rivers at a glance, three realms at a foot" perfectly captures this place.

We set off at 9:00 in the morning and arrived at our destination around 4:00 in the afternoon. The only reason for this was to see rapeseed fields that were comparable to those in Wuyuan, Jiangxi. I can only say that the weather was great and the photos we took were so beautiful.

On June 8, 2019, I went to Lvjiang Village to admire the rapeseed flowers. They were so beautiful and spectacular. Here are the pictures to prove it!

The beautiful Lvjiang Village has large fields of rapeseed flowers by the river.

Located in the eastern mountainous region of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, it borders Jilin Province and Ji'an City to the east and faces the Democratic People's Republic of Korea across the river to the south. Here, the Yalu and Hunjiang Rivers converge like two dragons, lifting Lujiang, the Pearl of the Orient, aloft. Lujiang Village is 130 kilometers from Kuandian County, 110 kilometers from Ji'an, and approximately 110 kilometers from Huanren, standing at the intersection of two countries, two provinces, two rivers, and three counties.

The Yalu River makes an almost 180-degree turn as it passes through Lvjiang Village, forming a peninsula. The distance between the upper and lower river mouths is less than 2 kilometers, and the peninsula is nearly 10 kilometers in diameter. This unique geographical condition creates a unique and pristine natural landscape that changes with the seasons.

The scenery in autumn is average, I don't know if it will be better in summer. We mainly stayed here for one day, so if you want to stay during the holidays, you need to book in advance.

After the National Day holiday, I chose Lvjiang Village in Dandong for a short trip. The scenery is beautiful, the people are simple, and it was a wonderful experience. I could see the mountains and water, the clouds and crimson leaves hidden in the mountains, and the autumn colors of the river and mountains—a beautiful scene right in front of the farmhouse. Across the river is North Korea.

Lvjiang Village, at the confluence of two rivers, offers beautiful scenery, especially when the rapeseed flowers bloom. It's a quiet place, perfect for camping or fishing, and the locals are quite simple, making it a great place for self-driving.

During the National Day holiday, I went to Lujiang and was lucky enough to see the sunrise over the sea of clouds at Shenxianding. It was spectacular. The Yalu River was covered with mist in the morning, which was very fairyland. You can watch North Korea from across the river, or you can hire a fisherman's boat to get closer to the center of the river to see North Korea. Watching the sunset by the river in the evening is also very beautiful.

On the banks of the Yalu River, you have to go to Zhaitou to see the river. It's a 10-kilometer road to the village, and the road is very narrow, making it difficult to pass other cars. It was almost dark when I arrived at Zhaitou Village, and the sunset was already spreading. I waited until the red glow dyed the river red before I slowly left. I kept looking back. I had originally planned to stay in Lujiang Village, but there weren't many accommodations online, and the ones I looked at were all farmhouses. Thinking the conditions wouldn't be very good, I gave up and stayed in Kuandian instead.

I don't regret where my dream ends, I only regret that it happened too hastily

The scenery of Lvjiang Village is truly unique and beautiful year-round. We were met by our driver, Ma, who departed from Dandong's Broken Bridge at 7:00 AM and returned near 8:00 PM. The scenery along the way was stunning, and he stopped wherever we wanted to take photos. The four of us drove a 16-seater car, which had plenty of space for our luggage and offered great views. We had a delicious, generously portioned farmhouse lunch en route. For both the service and the scenery, this route is highly recommended.

Departing from Beijing, I took my daughter on a journey through Lujiang Village. The pristine little mountain village, with its fresh air, beautiful scenery, and simple people, made my daughter and I feel very comfortable. We took a bus from Dandong and stayed at the Mong Kok Inn, recommended by a friend. We stayed there for two days and enjoyed authentic wild fish from the Yalu River and chickens raised by farmers themselves. The owner was very kind and, when business was slow, served as a free tour guide for my daughter and me, taking us to unknown attractions in Lujiang Village. I'm so grateful to the owner! My daughter was very happy on this holiday trip. If friends visit Lujiang Village, they might also consider staying at the Mong Kok Inn. It's not big, but it gave us a homely feeling.

It's a two-way bicycle lane. Who knows if you go there? There are basically no tourist attractions, just a lot of farmhouses.

A friend recommended Lujiang Village. I'd been dreaming of visiting it for two years, but I finally made it this year. Although it was past peak season, the scenery was still stunning. We stayed in the innermost part of Lujiang Village, called Langtou, which is home to only a few households. The farmhouse is right next to the river, and gazing out from the second-floor balcony is a relaxing and relaxing experience—perfect for those under heavy work pressure.

Every sunset, there will be an old man casting a net by the river. It is said that the owner of a farmhouse loves photography and personally performs for photographers who come from afar, charging only a small fee. This has become a regular feature of the village.

The night in Lujiang Village was full of stars, and we even saw the Milky Way. Unfortunately, we didn't bring a tripod, so we had to look up at the starry sky, taking in the beautiful scenery and remembering it in our hearts. Many people were taking pictures by the river, some of them were there to take pictures of the Milky Way. This was already our third time here, so we have to say we were really lucky.

The beauty of Lvjiang Village combines the grandeur of northern China with the elegance of southern China. Lush green wheat fields, the riverbank where the water and sky merge into one, leisurely fishing boats drifting by, and cattle and sheep grazing leisurely are a sight that will captivate you.

The beauty is always on the road. We set out from Kuandian in the morning, braving the drizzle. There was heavy rain in the middle and there were falling rocks on the mountain road, but it did not affect the beauty along the way. Due to the rain, there were few tourists. We stayed in a riverside motel. The rainy day was very interesting. I will post pictures later and enjoy the food in the evening.

After running for ten hours, we finally arrived at the long-standing Shangri-La in the north... the beautiful Lujiang Village. The scenery there stunned me, which cannot be expressed in words. I took photos along the way and my hands became soft. Our car kept going along the border line. There were scenery all the way. Finally, we reached the end of the road (Lvjiang Village Langtou). The scenery there is so bright that it will blind your eyes. If you don’t believe it, I will send you a few photos and you will know. We lived in Haiping Farm, which is a two-story building. The farm is not very big but very clean and warm. The boss warmly invited us to take his boat and experience the hard work of the fishermen fishing. The boat is not very big but we are happy. The fellow villagers also enthusiastically introduced us to the local customs and told us that Japan stood on the opposite side of North Korea. At the border, there is a fort built in that year as evidence. The fellow villager gave us a history lesson at this time. The recipe of Haiping's family is a big table hanging on the wall, with clear prices, fair and reasonable. Just looking at the pictures, I can't wait to taste the various wild fish in the Yalu River, the stupid chicken stewed in an iron pot, and the food was ready while I was talking. It was so fresh. Oh, and the river shrimp, the taste is unique, paired with ice-cold Yalu River beer, it's a perfect match. There is also more delicious roasted goat there, big pieces of meat, big gulps of wine, we are like bandits entering the mountains, and the mountain spring water there is particularly delicious, cold with a sweet taste, especially for making tea, tea lovers are blessed, in the blink of an eye, the two-day holiday is over, we have to go back and forth, goodbye to the paradise on earth, Lujiang Village Langtou, we will come again

Today we took a 10-hour drive from Qingshangou back to Yingkou. When we left Lvjiang Village and looked at Qingshangou, we could no longer see mountains or water. We returned home after two days of fun. We would like to thank the owner and his wife of the Lvjiang Village B&B for giving us the feeling of home and taking us to experience the beautiful mountains, good water, delicious food, and all kinds of fun. This is a pure and pristine ecological environment. During the day, there are clear water, blue sky and white clouds. We get up early for a run, go for a wild swim in the Yalu River at noon, and count the stars in the yard at night, the Big Dipper, the Milky Way, the beauty of nature, and the wonders of nature. We breathe the fresh air, eat all kinds of pure wild river fish, home-raised chickens, and home-grown vegetables and fruits. Living like a local, working from sunrise to sunset... [facepalm] I'm overwhelmed with happiness. It turns out after toiling day and night in this city of steel and concrete, my final sense of happiness comes from here, in this simple state of life... Perhaps every year, I'll be like a swallow taking its mother and cubs to rest, straightening its broken and disheveled wings in the city sky, freeing itself to find its true self. I've known about Lvjiang Village for a long time. This time, a few friends and their families went there. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and we experienced the border scenery and the simplicity of the rural people. The farmhouse we stayed at was called Mong Kok Inn, and the farmhouse food was very authentic, with wild river fish and vegetables grown by the owner of Daye. It's a great place to relax in your spare time. To be honest, going to Lvjiang is quite cost-effective.

The scenery along the way was beautiful. I found Langtou Fengxiang's restaurant online. The couple was very welcoming and the food was delicious. Haha, I suspect it's advertising. Their kids love their big fat pigs, and they even have a small vegetable garden. It's been raining intermittently for the past few days, so we stayed overnight before continuing on to Dandong.

The Yalu River was quiet at night, with the occasional fishing boat passing by. The temperature was perfect, and there were no mosquitoes. I woke up at 4:30 a.m., and the fog had begun to gather outside. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the sunrise over the Yalu River. The fog was even thicker on the mountains, and the white area in the distance marked the water level. It was clear that if the Yalu River rose, our area would be completely flooded.

This is a primitive tourist attraction, not popular, but it is really beautiful! We didn't see a large area of rapeseed flowers blooming, but the mountains and rivers here have already fascinated me.

Lvjiang Village is over four hours' drive from Dandong City. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this tranquil village feels like a paradise. Here, vast fields of rapeseed flowers bloom, and the best time to view them is from late May to June.

There was an old man performing the fisherman casting his net. He was very kind and let the tourists take pictures from various angles. He did it over and over again, which was very tiring.

On a morning after a night of rain, the mist slowly lifted from the mountains. We went to the pier to take a boat tour. The boat ticket was 60 yuan per person, but the price at our hotel was 35 yuan. The trip took about 40 minutes. (A separate ticket to the rapeseed flower sea is 30 yuan.) I think the boat tour is well worth it, especially in the morning, when the mist lingers and the river is so calm and expansive, it brings a sense of inner peace.

The pier and the rapeseed flower field are both accessible through the same entrance, so once you buy a boat ticket, you can swim right in the field! No separate entrance fee is required. You can also camp.

There is a winding mountain road around the village, with several viewing platforms along the way. The places where the viewing platforms are located are also very beautiful.

The scenery along the way is okay, but not worth a special trip.

There are only a few landscapes, including the Jiangxin Island Rapeseed Flower Base (they drive directly into the rapeseed field and charge 25 yuan per person, but they let me in after paying 10 yuan). The rapeseed flowers seem to be divided into many batches, and wheat is also planted. You can see them all year round.

Hunjiang Village also has rapeseed flowers, 10 yuan per person. It rained and I didn't go in, but it looked okay.

In short, the scenery is all on the way, and it feels just average when you get there.



There's no need to book accommodation online, as there are plenty of towns along the way. You can't go back and forth in one day anyway, as you'll be driving anyway.

Later we changed our route and went to Ji'an (there is a bridge shortly after the big turn, and across the bridge is Jilin). There are flower fields on the road there (in addition to rape flowers, there are also large yellow flowers on the roadside, which are more beautiful), and there are many tourist resources. The city is very clean and tidy, which is an unexpected surprise. However, it is too far to go there from Shenyang, and it is a bit difficult to do it in 2 days.

When visiting the legendary Lvjiang Village in Dandong, you absolutely must visit Li Qiang Fish Restaurant. It's at the innermost village. Our group of 12 drove three cars and arrived in Lvjiangchun seven hours from Dalian. There's a speed limit on the highway for taking photos, so we couldn't keep our foot on the gas. Besides being delicious, Li Qiang Fish Restaurant also has home-grown scallions and eggs. I especially recommend the duck eggs by the river (I forgot to take a picture; they're incredibly salty and greasy!). You can also enjoy a boat tour and hike up the mountain at 3 a.m. Just be sure to avoid the rain; our shoes were already incredibly dirty! This is Lvjiangchun, Li Qiang Fish Restaurant!

The scenery along the river road is very beautiful. Although Lujiang Village is inferior to Wuyuan, it can be regarded as the most beautiful border village in Liaoning.

Full of hope and joy, the adults took their day off, and the children took some time off to visit Lujiang, a place rave reviews online! But I want to talk about the real Lujiang—it took at least five hours of driving from Dandong (I even spent 50 on the highway) to reach the legendary Lujiang Village. The three of us paid 90 yuan, thinking the toll-free rapeseed field would be more beautiful. But, no matter how vast the field of flowers was, it was just one patch. You couldn't see the river from the flowers, and you couldn't see the flowers from the river. Haha... You could take pictures of both the flowers and the river on the riverbank at the entrance to the village, but unfortunately, the flowers were small and not spectacular enough. Following the recommendations of beekeepers, we drove forty minutes along a winding mountain road until we reached Langtou. It was a truly winding road, barely enough to miss two cars. My husband honked at every turn to signal oncoming traffic. Sadly, only one driver from Shenyang responded; the rest, I don't know if they were clueless or just plain naive! Thankfully, we drove slowly around the turns! Langtou may be beautiful, but that beauty is for those who have the time to stay longer and have professional photography skills. For those of us who come here with our children and stay for just one day before going back home to go to school, and for those who take photos with broken mobile phones, there is really nothing particularly beautiful: the sunrise is beautiful, but you have to climb the mountains at three in the morning to see it; the sea of clouds is beautiful, but you can only see it on a sunny day after the rain; the stars are beautiful, but you are lucky enough to see them on a clear night; the river is beautiful, but the crops on the opposite side of the river have not yet started in North Korea, and it is all yellow! There are some oxen working the field, and you can encounter sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, and dogs.

Accommodation is cheap, and the farmhouses are similar. Food isn't cheap, and they specialize in river fish. While it's a bit more expensive, it definitely tastes different from farmed fish. Some beekeepers say that no one has a refrigerator and they just eat freshly harvested food... I'm so naive I believed it! What vegetables are actually grown in the fields this season?! Aren't they all bought like we are?

The villagers are said to be simple and honest. I asked them, "A lot of people online have recommended your farmhouse!" The owner actually said, "Really? We don't use the internet, so we don't know." Should I believe it? Haha...

It's really not easy for farmers to make money from tourism! If you're interested in photography and have plenty of time, go and stay for a few days! I wouldn't go, and I wouldn't recommend it to my friends.

The day before yesterday, I visited Lvjiang Village. The scenery along the way was indeed beautiful, but Lvjiang Village was far from what I had imagined. The rapeseed flowers weren't as spectacular as the pictures online; they were just a tiny patch of mudflats. I also recommend bringing your own food if you're planning to visit; the local restaurants are terrible (at least the one I went to was terrible, see the picture). We had mutton soup, but each bowl didn't have nearly as much mutton as a small skewer of lamb. We even found steel wool in the meat. One of the steamed buns was blackened, and the waiter explained it was made with buckwheat. Anyway, we didn't dare eat it. Worst of all, the service was terrible!

Lvjiang Village is very beautiful, very beautiful, the scenery on the way is really nice, but we went to Qingshangou first, and there is a section of road construction on the way to Lvjiang Village. It is a gravel winding mountain road and super difficult to drive. However, the scenery after walking is infinitely beautiful. The road to Li Qiang Fish Restaurant is all winding mountain roads. It is not easy to drive. It is good that there are few people, otherwise the road is narrow and it is difficult for two cars to pass. The rape flowers are really not very good. It is so hot and the flowers are not in bloom. It is not as beautiful as the pictures on the Internet! I recommend Li Qiang Fish Restaurant. It is very good. The food and accommodation are very satisfactory. It is all deep in the mountains. It is quiet and picturesque.

The scenery is beautiful. For someone who is used to city life, the quietness here is a bit strange. There are no noisy people or cars. The noisiest animals in the village are actually dogs, chickens, ducks and geese. After looking around, we chose Haiping Farm, which is closest to the river. You can sit in her yard and see the farmland and small houses in North Korea across the river. The owner also took us on a boat tour of the Yalu River. The explanations he gave us when we asked questions satisfied our curiosity about the other side. The hardworking and simple couple cooked delicious food (I love scrambled eggs). I really recommend her (although there is a section of the road that is not easy to drive). But after coming here, you will feel (no regrets)

In late May and early June, the rapeseed flowers in Lujiang are in full bloom, a breathtaking sight. Missing the bloom would be a real shame.

I just went there today... I drove from Dandong for 4 hours and only saw a small patch of yellow... The scenery along the way was beautiful, but the winding mountain road was too steep, so I had to concentrate on driving for more than 2 hours and be sure to pay attention to safety.

I've been to the Green River Wave Head Haiping Farm. The scenery there is beautiful. The air is very fresh, facing the mountains and waters of North Korea. The local special river fish is very delicious. It's better to say than to do. You'll know when you go there. As the saying goes, seeing is worse than hearing.

Dandong's Lvjiang Village. It's said you could take a boat to see North Korea or something, with rapeseed flowers covering the mountains. The boat is still moored there, but the water's gone [crying]. The rapeseed flowers have just started blooming, and it seems too early to leave. I wouldn't recommend going there. The winding mountain roads are narrow and difficult to walk, and it's quite remote and far away. I suppose the rapeseed flowers would be worth seeing once they bloom, but I personally don't think it's worth walking such a long mountain road. The scenery along the way is much better [sweat]. In short, it's not worth it. I regret it.

The best time to visit is mid-to-early June, when the Dragon Boat Festival holiday is a great time to visit Liaoning and Jilin provinces. Driving along the way will offer unexpected surprises. It's important to emphasize: the best views are best on a sunny day with blue skies and white clouds! If you have the time and energy, it's best to find a local guide to watch the sunrise at Shenxian Peak. If you're lucky enough to catch a sea of clouds, even better! Finally, the local commercialization is very much like that of Northeast China, and it's no longer the simple fishing village it once was.

The best season in Lvjiang Village is probably when the rape flowers bloom. This time I was traveling from Ji'an to Dandong, and I took a look at Lvjiang Village on the way. Their youngest son, a young child, quickly became a playmate of my 2.5-year-old. We even have a little teddy bear named Mango in the yard. When I left, the boss, Brother Ma, specially picked chestnuts and dates grown by himself. The boss's wife, Sister Meng, heard me praising the river fish for being delicious and not having enough. We took a bus from Dandong City to Lvjiang Village, a journey of over four hours! We listened to music and admired the scenery along the way. We stayed on a heated kang (kang bed) for 30 yuan per person, with showers included. The owner said it was very cheap after the National Day holiday. During the National Day holiday, I went to Lvjiang Village. Because I drove quite late on the first day, I found a farmhouse called Kunxin 8 kilometers away from Lvjiang Village. The accommodation cost 30 yuan per person. You can stay in a kang with a shared bathroom, which is very warm. The beautiful boss is very easy-going and enthusiastic. She is very nice. We ate fried shredded potatoes, pickled eggplant and hazel mushroom soup in her house. The hazel mushrooms were all picked by them in the mountains. The average cost was 30-40 yuan per person. In the morning, we had steamed buns made of winter wheat, porridge, 4 boiled eggs, and 5 plates of pickles, which cost 15 yuan per person. The clouds in the mountains were particularly beautiful early the next morning. After driving for less than 10 minutes, we arrived at Lvjiang Village and went to the dock first and took a yacht for 6 0 yuan per person (the cruise ship costs 50 yuan per person, but generally it takes about 20 people to sail). We enjoyed the scenery on both sides of the Yalu River. The North Korean sentries saluted us friendly, and we felt the friendliness of the North Korean people. Then we went to the rapeseed field that everyone likes. The ticket price is 20 yuan per person (you can bargain). The roads are all dirt roads and are very low. We drove to the rapeseed field on Jiangxin Island. The close-up shots were average because the scenic area is not well protected and the cars and people are very chaotic. I recommend that you take long-range shots of this place. It is still very beautiful. Then we drove to Langtou. Langtou was so beautiful, with the quiet lake, colorful mountains and forests, and a field of winter wheat. I really want to live here. Then we went to the Mong Kok Inn recommended by a cellular netizen. We asked the store about the price and found a room with private bathroom and wifi for 350 yuan a night, but there were no rooms available. Later, the owner contacted his relative to get a room. The room was very small, with only a narrow corridor and a small bed, a shared bathroom, no wifi, and it was very cold. It cost 150 yuan a night, but we didn’t agree. On the way out of Lvjiang Village to our next destination, other villagers stopped us and offered to stay for 20 yuan per person. It can be seen that there is no need to book the farmhouses recommended by netizens on the Internet for accommodation in Lvjiang Village, because the ones recommended by everyone are really expensive and not that good. Some people doubt whether those netizens are shills... But overall, Lvjiang Village is not that commercialized, and many villagers are still relatively simple!

Standing in Mr. Li's courtyard, gazing out at the river, I could occasionally spot a few fishermen rowing their boats across the water. It was truly poetic. In this cozy feeling, the meal was ready soon. There were 6 dishes in total, including local chicken and river fish. It was a truly authentic farm banquet. We invited Brother Li and Sister Li to have dinner with us. Under the light, I saw a few strands of white hair on Brother Li’s head and Sister Li’s rough hands. I realized the hardships of the brothers and sisters. From their smiling faces, I saw that they were enjoying their current life very much. This may be what it means to be content with what you have... With the crowing of roosters, we woke up from our sleep. At this time, Brother Li and Sister Li had prepared breakfast for us, including steamed buns, flower rolls, millet porridge and pickles. After dinner, we left this simple farmyard. Lvjiang Village—a paradise on earth. On August 8, 2017, we drove from Pikou, Dalian, to Lvjiang Village. The 434-kilometer journey took 6 hours and 30 minutes. The scenery is beyond description; see the pictures. I highly recommend the farmhouse inn, Haiping Farm. The people here are simple and honest, and the owner and his family are very welcoming. They took us on a boat trip along the river near the North Korean border, where we fished—all for free. The owner said, "You've come all this way, so I'll take you on a great trip." The accommodations are excellent, and the meals are all homemade meat dishes. If you're interested in visiting, just search for Haiping Farm on Gaode Maps.
