Red Beach National Scenic Corridor

Located in the northeast of Bohai Bay, it offers a panoramic view of the natural environment and cultural landscape, and is a comprehensive wetland eco-tourism scenic spot.
The red color is due to the large areas of Suaeda salsa wetlands, and the autumn sunset is very beautiful.
The Red Beach Pier is the only wooden structure in the world built on a mudflat. Walking on the Nine-Curve Corridor Bridge, you can have an unobstructed view of the Red Beach.
October is the peak season for Suaeda salsa growth and the best time to visit the Red Beach.

🔸Opening hours

Open all year round, 9am-4pm daily.

🔸Tickets:

100+, you can buy it at the ticket office or online in advance.

🔸Best time

The best months for Suaeda salsa growing on the Red Beach are August to October. It starts to turn red in June and July, and turns purple in October.

🔸How to get there

Three ways: join a tour group, drive yourself, or stroll around on your own!

Traveling in a tour group: I personally don’t recommend it. It’s convenient on the road, but you don’t have much freedom in your time.

Self-driving: Just follow the navigation, but there will be a lot of cars during peak season, so you will have to queue up for parking. How long it takes depends on your luck.

Strolling around on my own: I first took the train 🚅 to Panjin Station, then took the bus 🚌 or took a taxi 🚕 to Panjin Central Bus Station. Ask the staff and they will tell you which bus goes to the Red Beach (in the square). Just get on the bus and buy a ticket!

🔸Transportation within the scenic area

There are scenic area buses between the various scenic spots, and you can ride the bus with your ticket, so don’t lose your ticket, otherwise you will have to walk forever.

Private cars can enter, but they have to pay several hundred yuan. You can ask on site for details.

❗Special Note❗

Be sure to check the tide time before going. High tide will submerge the saltwort and you won’t be able to see anything. The photo of the pier was taken at high tide, so we went to see the "Rice Dream Space" first.

I went there on September 16th, holding my bestie 👭, and went for a stroll together 💃.

Traveling is about going from a place you're tired of to a place others are tired of, to truly hear, see, and feel! Many people say the Red Beach is just so-so, all about beautiful photos, but I think it's all about attitude. Nature is truly beautiful, even more magical, constantly changing and nurturing over time, presenting us with all kinds of surprises. Perhaps if you go there with fewer expectations and less mental imagery, and truly immerse yourself in the scene, experiencing it with your eyes and heart, it will surprise you in a different way. 🤗

In the northeast of the vast Bohai Bay, in Panjin City in the Liaohe River Delta, there is a rare red beach in the world, one of the top ten charming wetlands in China, Panjin Red Beach.

The Red Beach is a wonder nurtured by nature. The cleansing of the sea and the accumulation of sediments on the beach are the prerequisites for its existence; the penetration of alkali and the infiltration of salt are the conditions for the Red Beach to be as red as the morning glow.

The Red Beach is woven from delicate sedge grasses—the only grass that thrives in saline-alkali soil. They emerge from the ground in April each year. With the arrival of summer, the grass begins to turn red in June, reaching a tender red in July and early August. It then turns deep red in September and purple in October. The most beautiful season is late autumn, when this place is a fiery haven of life.

The Red Beach is a tender red in early April, gradually deepening in color and turning purple in October. The best viewing time is from May to October. Here, plump fish and delicious crabs, the aroma of rice wafts through the air, seagulls and oil pumps roam the landscape, the red beach and red-crowned cranes complement each other, and modern civilization and indigenous civilization coexist. Featuring a rare red beach, nestled within the world's best-preserved and largest wetland resources, and set against the backdrop of the world's largest reed marsh, it forms an ecological corridor with tens of thousands of rare waterfowl and endless shallow sea mudflats. On the left is the charming, sprawling Red Beach, and on the right is the endless reed marsh. In spring and summer, these colors blend red and green; in autumn and winter, they blend gold and red, connecting the entire route.

Leveraging its unique resources, including the Red Beach, reeds, birds, sea and river resources, and seafood, the scenic area emphasizes integration with nature and sustainable development, fully leveraging the Red Beach wetland resources and the existing coastal highway within the scenic area to develop distinctive tourism products. The area has been designated the Love Red Sea Zone, the Dynamic Coast Zone, the Ocean Ranch Zone, the Passionate Years Zone, and the Pastoral Paradise Zone. Five themed zones, focusing on leisure sports, leisure agriculture, leisure fisheries, love and weddings, and oil tourism, aim to create a themed tourist destination brimming with leisure and enjoyment. Through high-caliber planning and innovative initiatives, the scenic area has established itself as a distinctive national-level leisure corridor, branded as the "Red Beach National Scenic Corridor." The Bohai Bay waters meet the mainland here, and the unique mineral elements dye the plants here red, especially in autumn. National Day Golden Week is the best time to see it, but now, it's especially beautiful and there's nothing here, so we chose this place as our first stop. So, what a surprise! (The pier should be packed with people during peak season, but now it's empty) (The expected red has withered) (The sea has frozen) (The red beach, which was bustling with people for months, is now deserted) (The weather is still good, so I had fun playing with the light and shadow)

In order to preserve the original ecology to the greatest extent possible, there are not many buildings or rest areas here.

We took a sightseeing bus to the scenic area. I remember that taxis were allowed to enter the scenic area last time, but this time they were not allowed. Moreover, we went through different gates twice, which should be due to the standardized management of the scenic area.

The sightseeing bus stops at the Red Beach, and there are sidewalks along the way for visitors to explore the Red Beach. A wooden boardwalk has also been built on the mudflats, allowing you to get a close-up view of Panjin's beautiful beaches. Different birds linger on the Red Beach, the most representative of which is the black-headed gull. Its head and upper neck are black, with the rest of its body white and its feathers gray. It often frequents the open salt marshes and swamps along the coast, and since it cannot swim, this is its habitat. The black-headed gulls gather in groups to hunt and play. As long as we are friendly and don't disturb them, we can observe them up close.

It's worth noting that the area of Suaeda salsa, the distinctive red grass, has shrunk significantly this year compared to last time! Previously, the entire road was lined with Suaeda salsa, but now it's only visible toward the sea, where there are also numerous oil drilling rigs. The other side has been planted with rice paddies. Locals say the decline in seawater salinity is responsible for the widespread death of Suaeda salsa. Honestly, I think that's only part of the reason.

The red area represents Suaeda salsa, while the green represents reeds. Birds, primarily black-headed gulls, inhabit this interlaced wetland, creating a beautiful scene on the Red Beach. Closer inspection reveals not only the usual fish, shrimp, and shellfish, but also Panjin's famous two-water crabs. Their camouflage is so impressive that if you're not careful, you might not see much.

The sky gradually cleared up, and the soft sunshine and moist air made the afternoon viewing quite pleasant! At the end of the scenic area, there was a large reed marsh. Here you could only enjoy the scenery. The tall and dense reeds on both sides of the shore blocked the view, and you couldn't see whether there were any animals inside.

As we walked towards the sea, the traces of Suaeda salsa gradually increased. Perhaps due to the increase in seawater, the red color became more and more obvious the further we walked, until it became a continuous patch. I finally managed to take a photo of the red beach under the blue sky. Although the lighting was not ideal, at least I saw it. Compared to rainy days, the blue sky is more beautiful!

It is almost September now, and the rice on the other side of the road has turned yellow. Together with the unfinished pavilions and water wheels, they form another scene under the still-clear sky. It seems like the roadside fields in the southern water towns, and does not look like the vast and dry northern cities at all. This may be the only place where I can appreciate the transformation of the red beach into rice fields.

Panjin Red Beach is a wetland ecotourism scenic spot. Relying on wetland resources and set against the backdrop of the red beach and reed marshes, it perfectly combines natural environment with cultural landscape. It is a comprehensive green ecotourism scenic spot integrating sightseeing, leisure and vacation. The Red Beach is now divided into the old and new scenic areas.

After purchasing a 110-yuan full-price ticket to Panjin Red Beach and a 35-yuan scenic shuttle bus, we took the bus to the Red Beach Scenic Area. We stopped at several spots along the way. After viewing the red-crowned cranes at the first, we headed straight to the two most famous attractions on Red Beach: the Aimeng Corridor Bridge and the Yudao Red Beach, located on either side of the main road. Perhaps due to backlighting and the high sea level this year, which submerged many of the young seedlings, the Red Beach didn't look as vibrant red or as vast as I'd imagined. To put it bluntly, it felt rather dull.

Panjin Red Beach National Scenic Corridor is a unique "World Red Coastline"

The total length is 18.115 kilometers, which is quite far.

So you must take the scenic area sightseeing bus when you enter, 45 yuan per person

But the sightseeing bus stops working at 5 o'clock

People can enter before 4 pm

After 4:30, only private cars can enter, and the ticket price is 49 yuan per person.

So the best way to see the sunset is

Before 4 o'clock, others go in to play first, and after 4:30, send one person to drive in and reunite

Come back whenever you want

By Star Traveler |

You must enter from the north gate. If you enter from the south gate, there's no shuttle service for the first 3 kilometers, so you'll have to walk! Also, be sure to calculate the tide level when you arrive—high tide, full tide, mid-tide, or low tide—as the scenery will be completely different. If you're taking photos of sunrise and sunset, be sure to shoot during these times for the colors to appear bright red. Photos taken at noon tend to be whitish.

I booked a day trip to Panjin Red Beach on China-TravelNote the day beforehand. It was supposed to be a 2.5-hour drive, but it actually took me 4 hours. The tour fee included transportation, entrance fees, and the scenic train ride, but did not include the boat ticket to the reed marsh or the Science Museum. The reed marsh is located within the Red Beach scenic area, while the Science Museum is outside.

Each person who buys a ticket to the scenic area will receive a river crab, which tastes quite fresh. There are local restaurants in the scenic area where you can also taste Panjin rice, fried river crabs, and salsa grass buns.

Visit the Red Beach and Rice Dream Space by glider 👇 I clearly brought a phone neck strap, but when I got off the glider I remembered I didn’t take out my phone to take pictures 🤷

In the eyes of most tourists, autumn is golden, but in one place in China, the autumn is red, as red as flames and as red as blood. That place is the Red Beach in Panjin, Liaoning.

By hyacinth! |

The Red Beach National Scenic Corridor is 18km long and requires a sightseeing bus. You can enter from the south gate or the north gate.

By Travel Expert |

The delicious food in Panjin is river crabs. If you want to have fun and see the scenery, you must come to the Red Beach, it is so beautiful!

By Simplify your life |

It's not as good as advertised, and not many people go there. You have to pay a fee to drive in and you also have to pay a ticket. It's not recommended to go!

By Heart towards the distance |

I highly recommend going in autumn, as the beach colors are even more vibrant and beautiful. Autumn is also the best time to see the reeds, and you can also try Panjin crabs.

By Benny Bear |

A natural wonder, be sure to pay attention to the time when you go. If the time is not right, it will not be effective. When I went there, I felt that the rice fields were more suitable for taking pictures than the red beach.

By Jun |

The best season is from August to October. The scenic spot started to be developed 10 years ago and is now gradually being improved. It is still worth visiting.

By Forever young at heart |

Although we knew it wasn't the best time to see the Red Beach, we were definitely passing by, and since we didn't want to rush any further, it would be a shame not to see it, so we just had to make do with it. We arrived at the scenic area at 3:30 pm, which was a bit late. The park closes at 5:30 pm, and the last sightseeing bus from the innermost area to the main entrance leaves at 5 pm, so we didn't have much fun at the Red Beach and it was a bit rushed. Friendly reminder: There is a large parking lot outside the Red Beach scenic area. Upon arrival, you must park your car in the parking lot and then go to the Visitor Service Center to purchase your entrance ticket and sightseeing bus ticket. National scenic area tickets are discounted if you meet the age requirement, but sightseeing bus tickets are not.

Visiting Red Beach: There are numerous viewing points at Red Beach. After entering the scenic area, you need to walk about a kilometer before you can board the sightseeing bus. After that, it's very convenient, with buses arriving at each viewing point regularly to take visitors to the next. The entrance to the scenic area is an 18-kilometer paved road. Walking from north to south, you'll find Red Beach on your right. Some viewing points even have wooden plank roads leading deeper into the area. To your left, you'll find wetlands with observation decks.

By I am a legend |

It actually takes a long time to drive to the entrance of the scenic area after getting off the highway. Drive all the way to the gate of the scenic area and go around into the parking lot. Here is a reminder not to come to the Red Beach during peak season and holidays, otherwise you can only see people and nothing else.

The ticket to the Red Beach Scenic Area is not cheap, and the scenic area is very large, so the time for fun is actually very long. It is recommended to buy a round-trip sightseeing bus. It was drizzling when we first arrived, but since we were there, we still insisted on buying tickets and going in under the rain. Looking back, it was a choice with both gains and losses.

The sightseeing bus offered multiple stops along the way, allowing for free hop-on and hop-off. I chose the third stop, but within five minutes of getting off, I was drenched by a downpour. I almost wanted to just get back on the bus and leave. Strangely, the rain stopped within minutes, so I tried to get off after one stop to stroll around. The warm breeze quickly picked up, drying me completely in just over ten minutes, except for my shoes, which were still soaking wet. I was getting a bit tired of seeing the Red Beach so often, and the entrance fee felt a bit underwhelming. Fortunately, the rice paddies across from the beach at the last stop were truly captivating. Panjin's rice is also famous in Northeast China. They raise numerous rice paddy crabs in the paddies, where the crabs and rice grow in harmony. In autumn, when the rice matures, the crabs can be released from the ponds—a true testament to the ingenuity of the working people.

By The mouse loves the cat |

The Red Beach is really a good marketing. The very ordinary red grass has been packaged into a popular tourist attraction. In fact, there are more or less some Suaeda salsa on the mudflats around the Bohai Bay.

By Enjoy life |

The entrance fee is 110 yuan, parking is 20 yuan per car, and the sightseeing bus is 35 yuan per person. Upon entering the scenic area, I was disappointed. Was this the same Red Beach I visited last year? It was just a few scattered patches of muddy water, scattered here and there. I thought I had come to the wrong place. I asked several staff members, and they confirmed that it was the same Red Beach I visited last year. The staff said that the Red Beach had died this year, which is why it's like this. If the price of admission isn't worth it to see the Red Beach like this, then perhaps in a few years, due to ecological damage, the Red Beach will disappear, and this magnificent natural wonder will no longer be seen. I felt relieved. However, everyone still had a great time and took many wonderful photos.

By Don't be confused when encountering things |

During the National Day holiday, I drove north from Shanghai for 17 hours and finally arrived at the longed-for Red Beach. At 12:00, the electronic display screen at the entrance to the park was filled with 8,000 people.

By Uncle Guo is the champion |

Disappointment, disappointment, disappointment! This is the most disappointing scenic spot I've visited in years. The pictures are picturesque, but the reality is bald. I spent 140 just to see the muddy ground. The scenic area description says September and October are the best times, but it turned out to be just this bare muddy ground. The only fun thing was seeing the little crabs. Look at the pictures, and they were taken in a place with red tones! I will never go back! Anyone who goes there will be ripped off! The scenic area sightseeing bus is 35 per person, you can get on any bus, and it's the only way to cover the 18 kilometers.

When booking tickets on Meituan, they said they would give cash back for reviews, but they blocked the reviews because they gave bad reviews. Even if they didn’t want cash back, they would still give you bad reviews! I’ve never seen such a shameless scenic spot!

By waei |

There were a lot of people, and the organization inside the scenic area was very poor! The organization outside the scenic area in Panjin was also very poor! I saw the red beach after leaving the scenic area, and it was much more pleasant to see it for free than to pay. The photos were all taken in places where I didn't have to pay!

By Martian User |

Don't come here, it's a waste of time and money, it's so far from the photos

By Smile |

I went to Red Beach on October 4th of this year. I decided to go after searching Baidu and looking at tourist maps. I regretted it so much. We were traveling with a tour group, so we didn't have to wait in long lines for tickets. The bus goes all the way to the scenic area. The walk to the sightseeing bus stop is over 1,000 meters, so it's normal to have a lot of people. The problem is, Red Beach isn't red at all, and it's not very large or crowded. It was a rip-off. It wasn't worth the price of admission; all I saw was mud. I only had to wait in line to use the restroom.

By hoon1104 |

It's a place you'll never want to go back to again. Admission is 110 yuan, and the sightseeing bus is 35 yuan. It's a ten-minute walk from the entrance to the sightseeing bus stop. The line for the bus is half an hour. The scenery is just average. It's just people. They rip you off once a year.

The restrooms in the scenic area are extremely dirty. Even dirtier than dry toilets. The water for washing hands in the restrooms is actually scalding hot. Speechless.

It's really not a tourist attraction worth visiting.

By China-TravelNote users |

The worst scenic spot I've ever been to! The entrance fee was 110 yuan + the sightseeing bus 35 yuan, a total of 145 yuan. It said it was voluntary, but in fact you had to walk 10 kilometers to see the Red Beach. Yes, this scenic spot is 18 kilometers wide.

You can't just enter the scenic area and take the sightseeing bus. You have to walk 800 meters first. Don't want to walk? You can take a horse-drawn carriage for 10 yuan per person. It was very busy on the way there, but on the way back, there was a rush to charter a carriage.

The scenic spots in this area are very unique. There are only red beaches and some straw things, which are very ugly.

Do you think the Red Beach looks like the one in the picture?

No, what you will see is a gray riverbed.

The picture was taken with iPhonex and the original picture has not been edited.

Today, I wanted to get out as soon as I got on the bus. The whole time, I saw nothing but terrible scenery. But there were so many people trying to get out that they were all crowded at the station. I didn't visit any of the attractions during the whole trip. Just sitting and waiting for the bus took four hours.

No one who comes out of the scenic spot does not regret it.

By happymel |

It's quite good. While there aren't the massive red beaches advertised, there are still two or three relatively large areas. I just visited on September 30, 2018. Of the many scenic spots in the area, only Stepping into the Clouds, Heart to the Sea, and Dream of the Bridge offer larger red beaches. Inception offers views of hand-crafted patterns in the rice paddies. The staff were all very friendly. You must take the train, which covers 18 kilometers one way and 36 kilometers round trip. If you'd like to hike, you can choose to walk between the two pick-up and drop-off points: Xiaodao Xianqing and Stepping into the Clouds.

By fog. |

The photos of Red Beach in the reviews are almost entirely distorted. The red fades as soon as you approach, and it's not a continuous, large expanse. The photos of the beach that everyone sees as incredibly red and beautiful are photoshopped aerial views, vastly different from what you actually see.

By gigidream |

I heard the Red Beach train is a must-buy. If you have a family member over 60 or someone with a disability certificate, be sure to bring their ID and documents to get half-price or free tickets. Red Beach isn't as red as you might imagine. The rice paddies within the scenic area are a delight for children, especially considering nature's "gift." The train runs every 10 minutes. You ride to the end of the line and then back from there, stopping at each stop. We spent more time crabbing with the kids in the rice paddies than admiring the scenery at Red Beach. There are shops and restrooms at nearly every stop within the scenic area. There's a restaurant at the entrance, which is also a popular gathering place for group meals from travel agencies. Private cars are no longer allowed within Red Beach. The parking lot for small cars costs 20 yuan, but there are electric carts at the entrance that take you to the train for 5 yuan. I recommend skipping the 5 yuan; you'll see the train a short distance away.

We went to Panjin Red Beach Scenic Area yesterday afternoon. The scenery is nice, although not very red. I recommend everyone to go in the morning. In the afternoon, the backlight will not be able to take spectacular photos. It was high tide in the afternoon.

By Just be happy |

After getting off the train in the morning, it's best to share a ride, generally 35 yuan per person, which takes you directly to the scenic area ticket entrance. You can pick them up when you return in the afternoon. The driver will contact you in the afternoon. It's exactly 50 kilometers from Panjin Railway Station to the scenic area. Taking the bus won't allow you to reach the area in one trip, requiring three transfers. The journey takes two and a half hours. The Panjin Municipal Government hasn't done a good job in this area. The scenery is quite good. Be sure to take the scenic area bus, which costs 35 yuan per person. The best time to visit is now to see the red Suaeda salsa, which will turn purple after the National Day holiday.

I like it very much, it is worth recommending, let's go on a self-driving tour during the National Day holiday~~~

By Small pulsation |

I took advantage of the free highway during the National Day holiday and went for a stroll. It was incredibly crowded during the holiday. The scenic area felt quite ordinary, with only a small area painted red, while the rest was completely yellow. It was so crowded that parking was impossible. We parked in the parking lot and then took a bus to the scenic area. There were long lines everywhere. I thought the reed marshes were more beautiful than the Red Beach. There are many restaurants near the scenic area, and I randomly chose one. The prices were not cheap, but acceptable. The river crabs were really good and reasonably priced, though they definitely don't have as much meat as regular crabs. They were delicious, though. I won't be going back, though.

I drove to Red Beach back in 2005. Back then, there was no entrance fee, and drivers could drive directly onto the shoreline. Now that all the facilities are complete, drivers can't enter the scenic area; you have to take the scenic area's eco-friendly bus. The bus stops at five or six scenic spots along the way, all beautifully named. The sky was overcast in the afternoon, and the light wasn't very good. The photos of Red Beach weren't particularly vibrant.

By Dreams and reality |

Lover's Island on Red Beach has been closed, leaving the beach bare and barren. When asked why, the waiter pointed to the nearby chemical plant and said the pollution was too severe and the vegetation had stopped growing. The vegetation at other scenic spots was also not doing well, not as beautiful as the posters depicted. The vegetation was sparse and not very dense. If this continues, Red Beach might disappear in a few years.

By Bloomberg Yaya Travels the World |

My first glimpse of the Red Beach was a fleeting glimpse of a photo online. Across thousands, tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of hectares of mudflats, vibrant crimson and purple, like a blazing rosy cloud, splashed freely and unrestrainedly, depicting the wonders of nature and revealing the meaning and true nature of life. It was awe-inspiring. My blood boiled, a surging desire for this bloody romance.

It was from that moment that I first began to think about visiting Red Beach. And when I actually stood before this divine painting, even though it wasn't the crimson and purple of autumn,...

"The wormwood grass is endless and stretches as if it has no end. The originally green grass has been washed into a bright red maple leaf color. When the tide is high, the sea is blue, and when the tide is low, the sky is red." Who used such wonderful verses to accurately describe the beauty before my eyes.

The beauty of Red Beach can only be truly appreciated by visiting it. But why not follow my lens and preview this magical land? Maybe you’ll be tempted to embark on a journey like me.

It's really beautiful. The whole red area consists of more than a dozen scenic spots. You can play for a whole day without any problem. There are also shuttle buses.

By Blue Enchantress |

A very special view, which will be even more beautiful when the sun sets.

By High Mountain and Flowing Water |

The red on the beach is really beautiful and the scenery is quite unique

By Helan Tinghan |

The Red Beach is only suitable for viewing from a distance, as if a furry red carpet has been laid on the sea surface.

If you look closely, you will see that the ground is covered with silt and saltwort, and the actual appearance is very different from the photo.

Personally, I don't like the Red Beach. I prefer the sea to be passionate and unrestrained, rather than covered with mud and weeds.

On the other side of the Red Beach Corridor are stretches of rice fields.

By Big and small kings |

One reason is that I think the ticket price is a bit expensive, and the other is that I may have gone at the wrong time. I feel that the scenery is not as good as the promotional photos.

Could God even be an Impressionist? Hailed as one of the world's 50 most beautiful sights by Lonely Planet (a globally popular travel magazine), Panjin's Red Beach is truly remarkable: tens of thousands of "purple-red" Suaeda grasses blanket the vast expanse of mudflats like a crimson garment, transforming the once unassuming salt-alkali land into a vibrant spectacle. The surrounding landscape is interwoven with vibrant crimson grasses, golden rice paddies, and emerald green reeds, all shrouded in a veil of haze. It's a truly magnificent Impressionist masterpiece!

Panjin Red Beach Scenic Area is quite beautiful and highly recommended.

By Qian |

The wind blows the rice fields and the crabs smell delicious, the tide goes out and the grass grows red for thousands of miles.

By Little Wild Dance |

I visited Red Beach during a road trip last National Day. It was absolutely packed with people and traffic. We departed Dandong for Panjin that day, and it was already quite late when we arrived. We parked our car, bought our tickets, and rushed to catch the sightseeing bus. But, perhaps because of the crowds or something else, there were no trains, only buses. We made it all the way to the last stop, but the tide was already high, and the vast expanse of water stretched as far as the eye could see. Standing on the isolated bridge surrounded by water, I felt a surge of fear. The road further in was closed, probably out of fear for the danger. I feel like red and yellow are a natural pairing; no matter how they're paired, the photos are always beautiful and poetic.

The Red Beach Scenic Area consists of three attractions: Reed Sea Observation Crane Park, Crescent Bay Wetland Park, and Red Beach. Friends say it's better than the Red Beach Scenic Corridor (they're two different attractions). We went during the National Day holiday, the perfect time to see Red Beach. While the roads were busy and the attractions were crowded, it wasn't as crowded as it could be. A combined ticket for all three attractions is 80 yuan (it's cheaper to buy online, and you won't have to wait in long lines, as the e-ticket redemption counter is less crowded). I also recommend buying an 80 yuan transportation ticket, which allows you to take a boat from Mingzhu Wharf to the Red Beach Scenic Area and then return by electric car, which is quite interesting.

Very beautiful, a must see. But the wind is very strong. The scenery is worth seeing

By that power |

The Red Beach Scenic Area, located in Zhaoquanhe Township, Dawa County, Panjin City, Liaoning Province, covers an area of over 200,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) and is considered the world's largest wetland park. The Red Beach wetlands are home to Suaeda salsa, a grass that thrives in saline-alkali soils and is the only species of grass that can survive in such conditions. Suaeda salsa emerges from the ground each April, initially a light red that gradually deepens, turning purple in October. Our visit to Red Beach coincided with smog, which obscured the seaside and hindered photography. I'd definitely visit again if I have the chance.

By To Guangchenglin |

I'd said I'd go to Panjin back in September, but it didn't happen until mid-October. Fortunately, even though some of the red Suaeda grass had withered, the scenery was still visually stunning, and the Red Beach lived up to its reputation. It was just that the sun was backlit as it set over the sea in the afternoon, which affected my photography a bit, but otherwise, I wasn't disappointed.

The scenery is very beautiful. Qianshan is not high but very interesting. It is beautiful in late autumn. It is recommended to come in early November. The scenery is still there in late autumn, but the price may be off-season.

The ticket checker at the entrance to the scenic spot is very deceitful, so be careful. He took the ticket to a place where I couldn't see it and checked it, then secretly replaced it with another ticket. The date on the back of the ticket was one day earlier. If you don't look carefully, you can't tell. I was afraid it would affect my trip, so I asked him for the original ticket, but he played dumb with me. Does anyone know how to complain about this?

By A cloud in the sky |

Finally we went to the Red Beach. There is no red more beautiful than this. We ate delicious river crabs. But there were no good restaurants or accommodations nearby, so we had to stay in Panjin City, Panjin International Hotel, which is half an hour's drive away. Remember to book it on Ctrip first, otherwise it will be much more expensive to stay there directly!

There are a lot of eleven people, but fortunately the scenic area has a large carrying capacity, which is quite shocking.

By Mr. Dung Beetle |

The Red Beach is a unique scenic spot, accessible by car or bicycle. To truly appreciate its beauty, you'll need to find a sunny day. Of course, it's even better if you visit during less crowded times. Don't worry if you're visiting during a prime holiday; while the entrances and exits might be crowded, the area will gradually disperse once you enter, making it less crowded. As a Liaoning native, how could I miss such a beautiful scenery right on my doorstep? And in the fall, there are also delicious crabs to savor.

By Chen Yilu |

The ticket is 120 yuan. There are 5 scenic spots in the scenic area. It's not very interesting. It's just for taking pictures.

By Fish flower |

The Red Beach Scenic Area is a national 4A-level scenic area and an excellent tourist attraction in Liaoning Province. Located in Panjin City, Liaoning Province, it is a wetland ecological tourist attraction that is a perfect combination of natural environment and cultural landscape.

Even if the weather is not good, the colors will appear. Come and catch the tail of autumn!

By chy0910 |

Every autumn, Panjin is filled with the sound of wheat fields, reed catkins, and the fragrance of reeds. It boasts the world's largest reed marsh and the world's most spectacular red beach.

By chy0910 |

Part of the Red Beach National Scenic Corridor, it serves as the entrance to Erjiezhou. The beach is painted with delicate Suaeda salsa, which emerges from the ground in April, initially gray-green, then gradually turns red. From mid-September to early October, it reaches its most vibrant color, turning from red to purple.

She needs no sowing or cultivation, growing scattered nearby, clumps far away. She lies in the salt brine, buffeted by the tides, year after year in the cycle of life and death. In the fleeting passage of time, she competes with all things in the universe, blooming with the colors of life!

Located in Zhaoquanhe Town, Dawa County, Panjin City, Liaoning Province, the Red Beach covers an area of over 200,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres). Its distinctive red beach, anchored by wetland resources and set against a backdrop of reed marshes, is complemented by a vast expanse of reeds, tens of thousands of waterfowl, boundless shallow seashores, and vibrant red Suaeda grass. This vibrant, green ecotourism destination seamlessly blends natural and cultural attractions, earning it the nickname "Red Spring."

A beautiful small city, beautiful girls and blue sky.

By Absolutely a natural outcome |

The entrance fee to the scenic area is bundled with the sightseeing bus ticket, which is 120 yuan per person, much higher than the Forbidden City! Driving in is an additional 20 yuan, but it is also a very short distance and you are not allowed to walk, so you have to take their car.

There weren't many tourists, and it felt like a stretch of highway with toll booths on both sides. The attractions weren't particularly spectacular, and the price wasn't worth it at all. The entrance fees and bus fares were a rip-off. You'll definitely be disappointed if you go!

Several of the locations on the road signs are not yet built, and the bus does not stop at all stations. If you want to see the red, just walk to one or two. If you want to see the similar plank roads that have been built, you can walk to all the points, but the driver may say that this attraction is nothing...

By Light Clouds and Gentle Breeze_lv |

I went during the summer, which isn't the best time to visit. The beach was red, but not particularly crowded. You should wear sunscreen here, as there's no shade in the entire area. Electric cars are the main mode of transportation in the area, making them more convenient. The entrance fee includes a ticket for the electric car.

By Great Governance |

We went on September 30th, 2016, avoiding the National Day holiday and heading out a day early. The Red Beach is at its peak in October, and it's still under construction. I bought my ticket online for 80 yuan, which was easy to pick up. Parking was 20 yuan. The area is quite large, so it takes a while to walk around. Panjin is incredibly windy in autumn, and I was practically going crazy trying to take photos. Fortunately, the scenery was beautiful and not crowded. The red sea, the golden sea, facing each other from afar, created a striking contrast.

By weiwei83115 |

The most satisfying place in Liaodong self-driving tour. Although it is not yet the most popular time, it is still better to avoid the crowds in July. There are indeed very few people. The ticket includes a free sightseeing train, which must be taken. It runs every 10 minutes because it takes more than an hour to ride from beginning to end. There are stops at each scenic spot.

There are self-service vending machines in scenic spots now, but the sunlight is too strong and I can’t scan the QR code. I feel dizzy. . . .

By Yang Xiaoyang |

The scenery of the two middle attractions is the most beautiful! The red beach, nature is the most beautiful creator

By hannah |

The wind is so strong...it's blowing like crazy

The natural scenery is suitable for middle-aged and elderly people to visit

Tickets are 120 yuan per person. Cars are 20 yuan per vehicle. You can't drive in, so you have to park in the parking lot, which is quite expensive. The train ride is incredibly slow. The view is clear and windy. Each attraction is similar, but the 120 yuan ticket price is a bit expensive.

I came here during the Dragon Boat Festival, which is not a busy season. It was raining and quite cold. I drove here, stopping and walking along the way. It felt pretty good. It's a good place for hiking and relaxing. Thumbs up.

By Tonne |

It was opened a long time ago, and it is not easy to remember it. I don’t have much impression of this place, but it’s okay. It may not have been so well opened when I went there, and it’s not as beautiful as people say.

By I love my best |

The seafood is great, the river crabs are delicious, and the Red Beach is quite unique.

By Pure Joy |

September and October are ideal for this trip (avoid National Day as it's too crowded). The Suaeda salsa will be a vibrant red. Driving is also recommended, and there are free buses connecting various attractions, making it very convenient. The hike isn't primarily for sightseeing, so the walk is quite long.

By Crooked |

We went there during the last two days of National Day. The crowds were relatively good, the scenery was average, and the river crabs were quite delicious.
