Built on the original site of the Shenyang Botanical Garden, it hosted the 2006 World Horticultural Exposition, the largest horticultural exposition in the world to date.
There are 53 domestic exhibition gardens, 23 international exhibition gardens and 24 specialized exhibition gardens, such as rose garden, azalea garden, peony and peony garden, aquatic botanical garden, herbarium and other specialized exhibition halls.
Many design solutions and construction techniques were used for the first time in the construction of the Shenyang World Expo Park, such as the triple-layer laminated glass bridge deck, the leaning tower of the Phoenix Wing building, and the Lily Tower, which is China's largest sculptural building.
April to October is the busiest time for flowers to bloom in the park, and it is also the best time for flower viewing. Different flower exhibitions are held in the park every month, such as the tulip exhibition in April and May and the blue flower exhibition in August, which attract many tourists to visit.

A great place to view the lanterns during the Spring Festival in winter. Take the 168 tourist bus directly to the Expo Park. The expansive area is perfect for viewing the Spring Festival lanterns. A variety of lantern displays, from ancient styles to Silk Road-themed lanterns, are on display, showcasing Western-style lanterns and international styles. Qipan Mountain, illuminated by the vibrant lights, is a dazzling spectacle. Along the way, you'll find plenty of snacks and night markets to enjoy.
I went there on May 1st. The garden was full of spring colors. It was really beautiful. The only regret was that I couldn’t climb to the top of the Lily Tower.
I went to Shenyang in 2006 and went back once more. I can only sigh that China is so big and the cultural gap is so huge!
When we came, many things were gone, so we just took a stroll to relax. Most of the exhibition halls have become small commodity sales departments. Many buildings still have the local national style. If you have time, you can come here for a stroll.
It was the original botanical garden, which was later renovated and renamed the World Expo Garden. It’s not very interesting, just various gardening activities. When I was a kid, I often came here for spring outings and summer camps.
The Expo Park is huge. It's the only 5A scenic spot in Shenyang and the environment is very good. The ticket price is reasonable. I recommend coming in the summer. When I went there, many flowers and plants were not in bloom.
The scenery of the Expo Park is really nice, with various style gardens, natural landscapes and cultural landscapes integrated into one, and you can breathe fresh air. It is worthy of being a 5A scenic spot in Shenyang and is worth a visit.
I went there once in 2007 after graduating from university. It had just opened and left a deep impression on me. When I think of Shenyang, I always think of the World Expo Park. This time I went there with my family. The difference was a bit big. The equipment inside was not well maintained and many venues were in disrepair. If you just want to see the plants, stroll around and have a picnic, it's okay. It's just a botanical garden, so don't have too high expectations.
It's reminiscent of a former botanical garden, showcasing miniature versions of various cities. It's a large area, and it takes about six hours to fully explore. I recommend going early, and I wouldn't recommend going in winter, as the flowers and other items are gone. The items are quite expensive, so it's not necessary to buy all the souvenirs. The children's rides are also quite expensive. Parking is 20 yuan, and you can get a receipt. It's a great place to visit in Shenyang, and you're definitely worth a visit.
There are many scenic spots, most of which are dilapidated. The tour guide said: it is unfortunate that there is too little investment and poor maintenance.
The children's playground is huge and worth a visit. The Expo Park is divided into three sections: the International Section, the Northeast Section, and the Western Section. I didn't see it in many cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing, perhaps because it's been demolished over time. There aren't many plants, just a lot of people.
The permanent Shenyang World Expo Park was left behind after Shenyang hosted the World Horticultural Exposition.
The Shenyang Expo Park, located in the scenic Qipanshan International Scenic Tourism Development Zone, covers 246 hectares and features 53 domestic gardens, 23 international gardens, and 24 specialized gardens. It is the largest horticultural expo in the world to date. Many design solutions and construction techniques were first used in the construction of the Shenyang Expo Park, including the triple-layer laminated glass bridge deck, the leaning tower of the Phoenix Wing building, and the Lily Tower, China's largest sculptural structure.
I went to the Expo Park with my mom during the Dragon Boat Festival in July 2013. The orchids were in full bloom at the time, so it was a must-see! My favorite part was the grapevines in the Expo Park!
Not bad, I'll go for a stroll whenever I have time. It's quite close.
Although Shenyang Expo Park is not as big as Shanghai Expo Park,
It is one of the few scenic spots in Shenyang that is worth visiting. The park is very large, mainly consisting of garden buildings from various countries and regions. There is a red pine forest at the west gate exit, which I particularly like.
The Expo Park received mixed reviews, but I found my ideal photo location there.
The 2006 World Horticultural Exposition was held in Shenyang, China. It was located in the Qipanshan Tourist and Leisure Resort in Shenyang, China. With a total area of over 5 square kilometers, it was the largest of all World Horticultural Expositions.
This is my second time at the Expo Park. The first time was in April, during the off-season, when the ticket price was 40 yuan. Now it's 50 yuan.
This season, the park has the most lilies, the lotus flowers are gradually blooming, and the amusement facilities are open. Apart from the heat, everything else is pretty good.
It's a good idea to bring a tent or something, find a shady place, and relax in the Expo Park on weekends.
The Shenyang World Expo Park is very large in scale, and it can be seen that it was made with great care. Although it was built by hand, it has local characteristics, and the daily maintenance is also standardized and meticulous.
The scenery is really great! There is nothing delicious in the park, you need to bring some snacks with you. It is well maintained and the photos are beautiful.
I haven't been there for many years. There are not many people here, the venue is large, and there are some entertainment activities such as rock climbing and ziplining, which are quite fun. You can ski in the winter and go boating in the summer. It is suitable for adults to bring children to play.
The garden is nice and worth a visit. The signage in the garden is not intuitive.
It would take a whole day to walk around. There is no point in taking a public electric car.
The food is terrible, and many people can only eat instant noodles. There are no decent fast food restaurants, the lunch service is poor, the food is not fresh, and the stir-fries seem to be reheated.
I went to Shenyang when the World Expo was open. I took the small train line when I went there. There were too many people and I couldn’t finish the whole day. I could only regretfully miss a few places.
The route is a bit messy, just take a walk, the environment is nice.
The various plants don’t have nameplates, so I don’t know what they are.
Bring some food with you. There is an interesting group of wooden houses where you can eat.
The bridge is fun
I went there in 2013 on my husband's birthday (he was still my boyfriend at the time). It was Mother's Day, so women could get a buy-one-get-one-free deal. It was my first time seeing tulips. There was also a botanical garden with all sorts of unique flowers and plants, and there were also many amusement parks like expansions, and condensed world architecture. It left a really deep impression on me, and it's definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended! Without further ado, here are the pictures!
This season is very good ~ relax inside ~ experience the natural scenery
It’s still a little early to come here, and some flowers haven’t bloomed yet, but it’s still pretty good, blue sky, green trees, red flowers...
A big park? Nice scenery and lots of photo opportunities
I went to the botanical garden to practice photography during the Qingming Festival. It was just spring and the flowers and trees had not yet bloomed, so I didn't get to take any good photos. However, the suspension bridge was pretty good, and some of the parts inside had been in disrepair for a long time and were in ruins.

The 2006 World Horticultural Exposition was held in Shenyang. On September 1, 2004, the 56th General Assembly of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) officially approved Shenyang as the host of the 2006 World Horticultural Exposition. The exposition, categorized as an A2+B1 professional international exhibition, ran from May 1 to October 31, 2006, for 184 days. It was hosted by the People's Government of Liaoning Province, the Ministry of Construction of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Flower Association, and the People's Government of Shenyang, and co-organized by the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture and the China Park Association. The exposition was held in the Qipanshan Tourist and Leisure Resort in Shenyang, China. The exposition was centered around the already completed South Zone and the under-development North Zone of the Shenyang Botanical Garden, expanding eastward and southward. The total planned area exceeded 5 square kilometers, making it the largest exposition ever.
The Shenyang World Expo Park is connected to the Shenyang Botanical Garden. As a child, I loved going to the botanical garden because of the various suspension bridges, single-plank bridges, and "Hero's Bridge" bridges. I always came home soaking wet. I have fond memories of the botanical garden, from school outings, with friends, and with colleagues, which spanned my entire teenage years. When the World Expo opened, I was still a child, and I felt so proud of it. Shenyang is now lagging far behind other provincial capitals in development. With the establishment of the World Expo Park, the botanical garden has gained many impressive attractions, such as the Lily Tower and the Phoenix Wings. The 50 yuan ticket is a great deal, and the park covers over 200 hectares, making it more than enough for a full day. It's a truly worthwhile scenic spot.
This landmark amusement park is a popular spot for self-drives during the weekends. I heard admission is free during the off-season! It's huge, perfect for a weekend getaway. There's a playground and a lawn for a picnic, making it a great spot. Just remember to keep it clean and take care of your trash.
The amusement park has a package ticket, which is very cost-effective. I played in the amusement park for a whole day and didn’t go anywhere else. It is a bit far from the city.
The Expo Park is quite large, but there aren't many places to visit. Due to time constraints, I only explored the upper half. During the National Day holiday, there weren't many tourists, mostly local Shenyang residents. I recommend avoiding car rentals; strolling around isn't particularly tiring. The upper half is primarily comprised of various pavilions and cultural attractions, featuring miniature landscapes and fountains. It's not large and isn't particularly worth a detailed look. The Lily Tower is a landmark, and nearby there's a chrysanthemum exhibition with beautiful large chrysanthemums and a lovely verbena display. These two factors alone make the entrance fee worthwhile. Entrance to the park is 50 yuan, but you can buy it on Taobao for 39 yuan, with half-price tickets available.
Shenyang Botanical Garden is also the Shenyang World Expo Park, and is also a national 5A-level scenic spot. When I was returning to Beijing from Jilin, I was stuck on the Beijing-Harbin Expressway and had to get off and go around Shenyang. I took a photo when passing by the Shenyang World Expo Park. Beijing also has a botanical garden and an Expo Park, but I rarely go there.

From the "Municipal Construction Committee" stop in front of Shenyang North Railway Station, take bus No. 168 North Line to the "Sai Te Outlet" stop, then transfer to bus No. 168 North Line Intermodal Branch Line to the "World Expo Park" stop. Alternatively, take Shenyang-Fushun Line 3 (the intercity bus from Shenyang to Fushun) to the "Olympic Garden" stop, then transfer to bus No. 168 North Line Intermodal Branch Line to the "World Expo Park" stop. Both routes reach the main entrance of the park and take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The Expo Park is very large and the scenery is pretty good. It is a good choice for a trip to Shenyang.
The World Horticultural Exposition was held in Shenyang in 2006. The Shenyang Expo Park was built on the Qipan Mountain in Shenyang. There are domestic exhibition gardens, international exhibition gardens and special exhibition gardens in the park. The main attractions include the Lily Tower and the Wings of Wind. The ticket price is 50 yuan. Various flower exhibitions are held in summer and autumn, which is very suitable for family leisure outings.
First of all, I must say that the Shenyang World Expo Park was really great back then, but it's a pity that it's too old now. It was built in 2008 and is already old. I went there once in 2006 and again in 2013. The facilities are not well maintained and are much older.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has been to the Expo. If you haven't been, it's still worth a visit.
When we went there, the Expo Park was under renovation, but we still went in and the scenery was still nice.
After appreciating the vibrant colors of flowers and greenery, this is a great place to change your mind after enjoying the cultural relics. I was there during the Tulip Festival, and the white windmills dotting the hills with the colorful tulips were a beautiful sight. The Expo is so large that a thorough tour would take a whole day. It's a paradise for those who love flowers, plants, and bonsai.
This place would be more interesting if there were more people. There are many bridges in the botanical garden area, which is very cool. You may fall into the water if you are not careful.
Well, it was a rather disappointing attraction. The flower area near the Lily Tower was quite beautiful, with large fields of tulips and some sort of purple flower. However, the 50 yuan per person entrance fee just to see the flowers and plants was a bit of a bummer. It felt like a 50 yuan entrance fee to visit a park. Also, the buildings from the previous World Horticultural Exposition are really run down. I don't know if they weren't built in good condition or if they haven't been properly maintained, but they look old and almost falling apart. I'm at a loss for words for how to describe it. They're so busy with tourists, but they haven't been properly maintained.
The scenery is very beautiful, and there are many wedding photos taken inside
1. Ticket price: 50 yuan, half price with student ID.
2. Transportation: It is recommended not to take a taxi on bus 168, as it will be extremely expensive if there is a traffic jam.
3. Tour guide: There are battery cars in the scenic spot, which cost about 20 per person.
4. My experience: It's a bit like Harbin's Sun Island, but this attraction is definitely worth the price. When you enter the park, the air is filled with the freshness of earth and the fragrance of flowers and plants. The Expo Park is especially beautiful after rain. You can also climb the Lily Tower for 30 yuan and overlook the entire Fengtian City.
5. Personal suggestion: However, it is not recommended to play in the amusement park. It is better to go to the amusement park specifically.
The Botanical Garden is also known as the Shenyang Expo Garden. The World Horticultural Exposition was held here one year, so it is called the Expo Garden. The ticket to the Expo Garden is 100 yuan, 50 yuan with a student ID, and you can take bus No. 168 from Shenyang Zhongjie to get there. The fare is 5 yuan. It is located in the suburbs of Shenyang, close to Qipan Mountain. It takes 1-1.5 hours to get there when there is no traffic jam, and it takes almost 2 hours when there is a traffic jam. There is also a small train in the scenic area. It is recommended to go during the flowering season in May. Large areas of tulips blooming together are particularly beautiful, but it is not recommended to go during the Qingming Festival. On the one hand, the flowers are not in bloom, and on the other hand, many people go to the suburbs to visit graves during the Qingming Festival, causing large traffic jams.
Although there are exhibitions from other countries, I still think the Chinese ones are better! When I went there, it was the lily season, and it was very beautiful! It is very large, and you must have good physical strength to visit it all, but there are also sightseeing buses in the park~
The Expo Park and Botanical Garden are now basically integrated, with pavilions from various countries and cities in it, each with its own regional characteristics. The Lily Tower and the Wind Wing are famous attractions.
The Shenyang World Expo Park holds a Tulip Festival almost every May. Anyone who loves flowers, thinks people are more beautiful than flowers, or wants to take photos can come here. It is a good place to kill camera batteries and memory cards, and the chance of pressing the shutter is very high.
It is said that this is the only 5A-level scenic spot in Shenyang. I have one day to go and see it.
The Expo Park entrance fee is 50 yuan, 25 yuan for students. Since it's so big, we chose to rent bicycles, with a deposit of 200 yuan and an hourly fee of 40 yuan. Going downhill was super refreshing, with the wind blowing and the grass fragrant, but going uphill was a nightmare. It was better to have a boy with you, as the two of us girls would have been more tired riding than walking, so we decided to push the bicycles uphill.
It is mainly suitable for leisure, dining and breathing fresh air, and the rest is very ordinary.
From Shenyang North Station, you can take bus 168 for 5 yuan and the ride takes about an hour. The entrance fee is 50 yuan, and student tickets are available. It is very large and takes a whole day to visit. There are many exhibition halls, many people taking wedding photos, collecting folk songs, and there are also cable cars and games.
Overall, the Expo Park is pretty good, but when I went there, the tulip trees were not in full bloom and I only saw a few scattered flowers.
It is just across the Hun River from my school. It is a must-go place once a year to enjoy close contact with nature. I highly recommend it.
The Expo Park and the Botanical Garden are in the same place. The Lily Tower is a landmark building. Take the elevator to the top floor to enjoy a different view.
It's adjacent to the Expo Park, and tickets are valid for both. Different flower exhibitions are held in different seasons, so visiting in spring or summer is recommended for a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's also a children's play area, perfect for bringing children.
At that moment, I was Hayao Miyazaki
In the spring when the pear blossoms are in full bloom, the large pear trees are stunningly beautiful. The large lawn is perfect for a family picnic with a tent.
Every May, the Shenyang World Expo Park holds a tulip exhibition. However, I first saw the tulip exhibition at Prince Bay in West Lake, Hangzhou. I planted a few for fun myself, but seeing such a large field of tulips still made me feel beautiful. Looking around, the flowers are in clusters and the scenery is lush and green. It is really pleasing to the eye.
During my break, I went to the Shenyang World Expo Park. In the summer, so many varieties of flowers bloom there, it's like a huge park—quite beautiful! At this time of year, the flowers are mostly gone. Since the garden is so large, I initially just wanted to take a stroll. There were so few people this season, I expected it to be boring, but it was a pleasant surprise! I truly experienced the beauty of this season. Walking along the quiet path, my heart and thoughts were free to fly. The autumn breeze, the leaves, the path, the flowers—let me capture the beauty of your life with my camera. What will you look like next year?
It's autumn now, and the flowers and plants in the garden have more or less been ravaged by the wind and frost, no longer as vibrant and lush as they were in summer. If you have an eye for beauty, you'll appreciate its charm. Otherwise, you'll find both the domestic and international gardens somewhat dilapidated and sad. After all, it's been seven years since the first opening. The garden is truly vast, with much of the path up and downhill. The point of a visit is to enjoy the scenery while walking, and that requires a willingness to endure the arduous journey.
The Expo Park was built on the site of the original Botanical Garden. It's quite large, and the original Botanical Garden is right inside the west gate. This was my third time at the Expo Park, but my first time entering through the west gate. There were so many trees, and I even encountered a vast sea of purple flowers. I was so excited!
The Shenyang World Expo Park is quite worthwhile. There weren’t many people today and the weather was very hot, so I only visited it for 2 and a half hours. It is said that the Shenyang World Expo Park cannot be fully explored in one day. The area is relatively large and the planning is relatively good. I hope I can go on a hiking tour again if I have the chance!
Turn left into the horticultural area, which is truly vast, with azalea gardens, peony gardens, cherry blossom gardens, and more. Unfortunately, June isn't the best time to enjoy flowers at the Expo Park. Aside from a few flowers like irises and butterfly flowers, most others are either past their prime or haven't opened yet.
The current Shenyang World Expo Park has lost its former prosperity and is located far away from the city center. If you are not very interested, it is recommended not to go. However, the environment inside is indeed excellent.
I took a quick tour and wasn't impressed. It's all man-made. I prefer natural scenery. This is just a big park, perfect for a leisurely stroll and some fresh air. It's not a very interesting place to visit. My personal opinion.
The main venue of the 2006 World Horticultural Exposition is still well preserved, but many of the facilities are very old compared to those years, and some gardening has not been improved. However, it is rich in style and worth a visit.
It was built on the basis of the Shenyang Botanical Garden for the 2006 Shenyang World Horticultural Exposition in China. It has four major theme buildings and holds flower shows every year. It is a good place to get close to nature.
It is the Shenyang World Expo Park. Various small bridges have been built here for people to entertain themselves. It is shaded by green trees and is a good place to relax in the midsummer.
It's very nice, also known as the Shenyang World Expo Park, but it's far away. You can spend a whole day there, so bring plenty of food and water.
Before I came here, I didn't know that the Expo Park was for viewing flowers!! But it's okay, I can see tens of millions of orchids.
It is connected to the Expo Park. There is an amusement park here. There are more flowers and plants, but fewer gardens. Most of them are concentrated in the Expo Park.
There are many buildings in the park, including provincial capitals and foreign buildings. It is worth seeing. Although I didn’t go there on the opening day, it is still very beautiful.
The Expo Park is an expansion of the original Botanical Garden. It is very large and worth a leisurely walk. The abandoned pavilions of various cities are still very distinctive.
Very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful very beautiful
I visited the first Expo and had a generally good experience. The Shenyang Expo Park, located in the scenic Qipanshan International Scenic Tourism Development Zone, covers 246 hectares and features 53 domestic gardens, 23 international gardens, and 24 specialized gardens. It is the largest horticultural expo in the world to date. Many design solutions and construction techniques were first used in the construction of the Shenyang Expo Park, such as the triple-layer laminated glass bridge deck, the leaning tower of the Phoenix Wing building, and the Lily Tower, China's largest sculptural structure.
