Xingcheng Seaside Scenic Area

The sea view at sunset is beautiful. I visited Xingcheng about ten years ago and stayed overnight. I didn't do any sightseeing, but I was deeply impressed by the statue of the Chrysanthemum Girl. This beach seems to have not changed much in ten years. The decoration of the nearby hotels and restaurants is very old, as if nothing has changed here in the past ten years.

The Diaoyutai State Guesthouse we stayed at was pretty much what the online reviews said. The facilities were quite old, but the basic hygiene was acceptable. However, the ocean view suite we chose was absolutely stunning, with a large terrace. Looking out to sea and feeling the gentle breeze was truly wonderful! It wasn't humid at all, which was great for this season!

We had a seafood dinner in the evening, including crabs, mantis shrimp, and scallops. The restaurant was crowded, but the food was served quickly and tasted good. After dinner, we walked along the beach. Xinghai Seaside Park was filled with music, small town stories, and tourists coming and going. It was a 90s travel style!

Although the room was in poor sanitary condition and even had some leaks, the beach was right outside the door and the sea view was right outside the window. It would have been a perfect way to pretend to be in Maldives, but unfortunately we encountered a storm.

The beach in Huludao is not very good now, Xingcheng is relatively okay, but there are some passenger-carrying problems.

The Xinghai Coastal Scenic Area is relatively well developed, with several iconic attractions: Sea Viewing Platform, Chrysanthemum Girl, Three Reefs View, and then the pier.

The second beach is the best place to watch the sunrise. It is so beautiful.

Xingcheng is small and has a good atmosphere. The environment is clean and suitable for relaxing.

From the pier, turn left and follow the road to the coastal scenic area. The walk continues along the coast for about 2 kilometers. The Coastal National Scenic Area, nestled against the mountains and facing the sea, covers an area of approximately 42 square kilometers. Its coastline borders the picturesque Liaodong Bay and is known as the "Second Beidaihe."

This is pretty good. I bought live seafood at the beach, processed it, and started cooking it directly. It was so cool. I took a few photos and it was very beautiful.

Everything is good except that there are too few places to flush water, which is not open in May, and there are many large rocks on the beach. But everything is good. I hope it will get better and better.

After visiting the ancient city, I thought I'd enjoy a bit of seaside fun, so I headed to the scenic coastal area. It was incredibly windy that day, and it wasn't peak season yet. There weren't many people, just a lot of boats soliciting tourists. The water wasn't particularly clear, with waves occasionally crashing onto the shore. There wasn't much trash on the shore, but there were plenty of shells of all sizes on the beach. The tide might have been receding when we went, so the exposed sand grains were a bit larger, but the topmost sand was still very fine! The sea, from the boat, was incredibly blue and clear. Overall, the scenery was quite nice!

The sand was warm from the sun and felt very comfortable on my feet. It was very fine, perfect for children to play in. The weather was still a bit chilly, so I didn't go in the water. The wind was so strong that it made my hair a mess.

Xingcheng Coast has been a famous harbor in western Liaoning since ancient times. Navigation and fishing have been a popular pastime for people along the coast for thousands of years.

The coastal scenic area is located in Xinghai Bay, Xingcheng, bordering the picturesque Liaodong Bay, backed by mountains and facing the sea, with an area of about 42 square kilometers.

At the entrance, there is a main gate with four pillars, three doors and a single-eaved hipped roof on the second floor. The plaques and couplets on the inside and outside are all works of calligraphy and painting by Fan Zeng.

At the entrance of Xinghai Bay, a tall statue of the Chrysanthemum Girl, carved from granite and representing the legend of "Chrysanthemum Killing the Evil Dragon", nods in greeting.

"Three reefs love the Daqu Bridge, and hundreds of wrinkled rocks play with thousands of waves." Perched on a bright reef in the sea, at the southern end of Xinghai Bay, is a unique sea-viewing pavilion.

The pavilion's name was written by the famous calligrapher Wang Kuncheng. Visitors flock to the pavilion to watch the tide, listen to the waves, collect shells, catch crabs, and play in the water.

It's a nice coastal city. There are many military sanatoriums built here.

The sand here isn't as fine as in Dongguo Fishing Village or Leting, and it's also full of oyster shells. Fortunately, the accommodations are good, and the seafood is affordable. It wasn't too crowded during the National Day holiday. As for the cleanliness of the water, don't count on the Bohai Bay coast; it's close enough for a casual outing.

Many fishing boats dock here every day, carrying fresh seafood. A small wild swimming crab costs about 20 yuan per pound, but it seems that there is not much meat. The mantis shrimp look very plump.

Having lived in Shenzhen for a long time, I have become accustomed to the sea, but the Bohai Seaside Park in Xingcheng still moved me. It is so beautiful.

I really regret coming to this beach. It's too many times. There are a lot of debris on the beach, especially prickly feet. I have a lot of skin diseases. It's really disgusting to sunbathe here. I will never come here again.

2017.7.12 The first stop of our family's summer vacation trip was Huludao Seaside Scenic Area. The artificial plank road is great and leads directly to the beach. The scenic area is well designed and free to visit.

The beach and seafood stalls are just across the street, making it very convenient. It's packed with people on weekends and summer vacation, and you can overlook Juehua Island in the distance. It's a great place for family, friends, or even just to relax and unwind! But while I was gazing out at the distant sea from the third-floor pavilion, lost in thought, three people playing poker on the floor, shouting and joking, occupied the space for hours. It was a real downer!

Parking fee at Xingcheng Seaside Scenic Area is ¥20. Swimming is free. The sea water here is not so clear in general, and the sand is very thick. My foot was pierced by a big gash, but I heard from local people that the tides may bring fine sand, shells, and of course the big rocks I stepped on. For simple swimming, there are no big pitfalls here. Other recreational activities are not recommended. There are those big blue boats with fishermen coming to solicit customers. They are very noisy and very slow. When they come to ask you to go, we ask the price, which is 50 yuan per person, and we bargained down to 160 yuan.

I personally think it's a great place for taking photos. If you choose the right spot for the bridge and wooden plank road, you can take beautiful photos. I really like this place. The whole journey takes at least two or three hours, which is a bit tiring, but the scenery is great.

The scenery is okay, the sea isn't clean, and the main problem is the people are too bad. Please remember this place that rents swimming rings and swimsuits. We didn't eat, and we didn't even sit down, just stood there, and they came over to chase us away and asked us to spend money. One umbrella costs 100 yuan! You might as well just rob us! ! We were having a lot of fun, and we're not the kind of people who like to cause trouble. Besides, it was still early, so we had to go to the sea at noon to rent swimming rings. After this family said that, all of us lost interest. We were going to Dongdaihe anyway, and there were plenty of beaches. Why did we have to spend our money here? 😖 If we didn't come, who would you make money from? 😡 Angry!

I really like the beach in Huludao; it's so lively. Fishing boats drift on the water, people cook shrimp in seawater on the beach, and children build castles. Everyone finds their own fun and has a blast!

The sand is also very fine, and the sea water feels very clear. Be careful that the coarse sand and small shells will hurt your feet.

There were so many people, it was a huge crowd. It was more about seeing the sea or the people. But I still recommend going.

Xingcheng is a small coastal city in Huludao. Its sea is very blue and clear. Because of the low pollution, the air is also very fresh. The seaside service facilities are complete - restaurants, entertainment facilities, seafood food stalls, Xinghai Amusement Park, and a Chrysanthemum Girl sculpture. It is relatively cheap and has a beautiful resort.

Transportation is relatively convenient, with bus number 1 going directly to the seaside. However, it's worth noting that while the bus has a "City Union" logo on it, and IC cards with that logo can be used to pay for fares, the bus driver will inform you that Xingcheng buses only accept Huludao public transportation IC cards, not local IC cards. Passengers from other regions won't be able to pay for fares, and coins are required. Please be aware of this.

The scenery is beautiful and there are few people. As for the sea water, the water in the Bohai Sea is basically the same. If the sand is fine and soft, it will be perfect.

There are some circled areas here that are artificially filled with sand. They are very shallow, with little debris and very fine sand. It is very comfortable to play there, but it is still recommended to wear slippers to prevent cuts.

The beach is a bit small and there are many people. The scenery on the boardwalk is pretty good. The further you go in, the fewer people there are, so you can enjoy the scenery quietly!

The first time I took my wife and children to see the sea, I accidentally came to Xingcheng and even caught up in a rainstorm... However, I saw another side of the Chrysanthemum Girl.

Visitors are free to enter, but vehicles are charged a parking fee of 20-35. Perhaps because I've been to so many beaches, I now find this one rather ordinary, even though I had a blast here as a student. The sea in the north isn't as blue or clear, and the sand isn't as fine and firm. For those who haven't seen the ocean, this is still quite nice.

After dinner, I strolled to the Coastal Park to digest the food. I played pedal boats on the beach. The waves were huge, and there were many speedboats and motorboats nearby. No matter how hard I pedaled, it felt like I wasn't moving at all. It was so embarrassing.

The taxi fare from the train station to the beach was 15 yuan. Luckily, I didn't miss it. The sun hadn't risen yet, but there were already a lot of people. It was a bit cold, though. I recommend dressing warmly in the mornings if you're going this season; I was freezing. At home, I usually open my eyes to the blazing midday sun; sunrise never occurs to me. Turns out, getting up early actually has its benefits. The weather was perfect, fogless, and the sky was a brilliant blue. My sleepiness began to dissipate, and I started snapping photos. It was my first sunrise, and it was stunning. After watching the sunrise, I strolled along the beach, weaving in and out of the rocks. I saw an old man fishing. I approached him and asked him to lend me his rod so I could pose. The people of Xingcheng were incredibly unfriendly. He said, "What's the point of giving it to me?" I begged him for over five minutes before he finally gave it to me, and he started pushing me. I gave up. By the time I'd finished walking the entire beach, the strong sea breeze had chilled me to the bone.

Picking up shells seems to be okay, but in fact we all went into hiding. Every time we found a treasure, a group of people would scream naturally. It was so interesting.

This is my second time in Xingcheng and also my second time to play at the beach. Compared with the sea in Yantai, the sea in Xingcheng is relatively clean and there are a lot of people. Not far away, there are some stone bridges that go straight into the middle of the sea. Doudou and I also went there with great interest. These stone bridges and pavilions on the sea are undoubtedly the highlights of Xingcheng Beach.

If you don’t go to the pavilion in the middle of the sea, you will have wasted your trip to Xingcheng. From here you can see the panoramic view of the beach.

This is one of the most famous scenic spots along the Bohai Sea, and it's a common sight in Liaoning tourism books. Its image has long been etched in my mind. Therefore, even while I was at Ningyuan Weicheng, my heart was wandering over the Bohai Sea.

When I actually left my footprints on the Xingcheng beach, the excitement at that moment was self-evident. Above my head, the sun was shining; under my feet, the sand was soft and fluffy; beside my ears, the wind was rustling; in front of me, the sea was blue...

The sea water quality here is indeed very good, the beach texture is fine, the water quality is clear, and the sea water depth is relatively gentle.
