Guide Geopark is the Ashgong Colorful Danxia Scenic Area. We stayed in the scenic area. Although the price was a little high, the scenic area was very quiet and comfortable at night. There were only two groups of guests. It was very pleasant to wander in the dimly lit trees and the colorful peaks at night. The next day, we took the scenic area battery car again to visit the Colorful Danxia and appreciate its unique style of supernatural craftsmanship and steep terrain. Compared with the subsequent visit to Zhangye Colorful Danxia, it was a little smaller, a lady from a noble family and a beautiful girl from a small family, each with its own merits.

The spectacular Danxia Mountain came to us, and we could not help but park the car at the entrance of the scenic spot. The staff of the scenic spot said that the entire scenic spot has 3,000 mu of interior scenery and 50,000 mu of exterior scenery. The Danxia landform here is long and strange, with peaks standing abruptly, and the geological shape is strange and magical. Because the mountain body presents seven colors, it is also called the Seven Color Peak Cluster. If we walk quickly, it will take about 2 hours to complete the tour route of the geological park. If we take the scenic bus to see the flowers in a hurry, we may not see many of the highlights.

The Danxia landform area in Guide Danxia Scenic Area is not very large, but the types are quite rich, and you can get close to Danxia. I personally feel that the battery car is a bit useless. In order to wait for the car, you have to listen to the promotional introduction in an exhibition hall for a long time, and you have to go around for a distance. It is recommended to walk to the return waiting point of the battery car, and walk a few hundred meters in the opposite direction along the road out of the scenic area to enter the main scenic area. Also, be careful not to take shortcuts according to the staff's advice. You must go around the ditch to see Danxia from a distance.

If you want to see the landscape of Danxia and the Yellow River, you can navigate from the geological park to Kambula, cross the Ashgun Yellow River Bridge, and then go around to the back of the mountain to enjoy the "clearest" Guide Yellow River and Danxia landform in the same frame.

Qinghai Hainan Prefecture Guide National Geopark is located in Ashgong Village, Garang Township, Guide County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. In particular, Nuwa Gorge, Tongtian Gorge, Wentian Gorge, and Seven-color Soil are rare geological relics and natural wonders in the world. The cliffs have been eroded by wind for millions of years and have different shapes. Some look like the weathered faces of old people, and some look like the eyebrows, horns and noses on the heads of dragons, each with its own unique shapes. The geological park is a good place to see Danxia geology

The colorful peaks of Ashgong, which are comparable to the colorful Danxia in Zhangye, are like the loess plateau when we reach the end of Guide. The land of Northwest China! A feeling of letting go! The colorful peaks of Ashgong are the name I found on China-TravelNote. The scenic area should be very large. We didn't go in because we could see a good view from the roadside. We opened the skylight and it clicked, which also made us appreciate the strong wind in the northwest.

According to the chartered driver, this place is more beautiful than the Danxia landform in Zhangye, and there are fewer tourists. We drove all the way and saw the distant view of the mountain peaks. It was indeed beautiful and spectacular. The colorful Danxia landforms in the park are colorful, amazing, steep and rugged, and magnificent. The tour guide service is very good, and tourists take a bus to the canyon scenic area. If you think Zhangye scenic area is too crowded, I recommend coming here, it is definitely worth the trip. The ticket price is 60 yuan.

The most distinctive feature here is the Nuwa Gorge, where Nuwa kneaded clay to create human beings. Legend has it that Nuwa used the Yellow River water to knead the loess and created the yellow race. The crooked, earthy yellow human-like rock mass under the cliff of the canyon is said to be the semi-finished product left when Nuwa created human beings.

The colorful Danxia is very spectacular and can be seen without entering the scenic area, but you can walk deep into the peaks in the scenic area. Recently, the entrance fee has been free, but you must buy an eco-friendly car, which is a little cheaper. Overall, it is still worth it.

In addition to visiting Guide to see the Yellow River, we also visited the Geological Park to see the Danxia landforms of the colorful mountains. Guide County is located in the transition zone between the Loess Plateau and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The Yellow River runs across the central and northern part of the county from west to east. The entire county is full of gullies and mountains, presenting multi-level river terraces and basin hills. The rock layer that formed the Danxia landform is a red clastic rock deposited in an inland basin. Later, the crust rose, the rocks were cut and eroded by flowing water, and the slopes retreated mainly due to collapse. The remaining rock layers formed the red mountain blocks.

Danxia landscape is worth a visit

It is particularly spectacular and shocking. The mountains here are naturally carved into castles, figures... This place should be not well promoted, and there are fewer tourists, but the scenery is really beautiful, and it has its own merits compared to the colorful Danxia!

In the general sense, Guide National Geopark refers to the Ashgong Gorge Colorful Peak Forest Scenic Area, which has been developed and charged a fee. The scenic area consists of seven Danxia canyons with different colors and shapes.

If you need to pay a ticket to enter the scenic area, you can choose not to enter. When driving on the S101 Provincial Road, you can stop and take pictures at any time when you see beautiful scenery.

The area of the geological park is not too large. It is about 1-2 kilometers from the gate of the scenic area to the depths. There are sightseeing buses for transportation.

Guide is famous for its clear Yellow River and National Geopark. If you come here once, you won’t have any regrets and might as well see them all.

In fact, Guide Danxia is very large and bizarre in shape, more diverse than the Seven-Colored Danxia, but its colors are not as beautiful as those of the Seven-Colored Danxia.

I went there once in 2010 and once in 2011. I should say that the autumn scenery here is quite good, but unfortunately there is no place to stay. The first time I went there, I was charged 50 yuan per person, but the second time I went there was free.

We took a bus to Agung Geopark early in the morning. The colorful peaks were not as amazing as we had imagined. The weather was hot, so we lost our enthusiasm for traveling. Fortunately, we arrived at the source of the Yellow River. The water of the Yellow River in the Waterwheel Square was green and leisurely. Walking along the riverside, I felt refreshed and comfortable. It was a good place to escape the summer heat!

Maybe no one goes to Guide on purpose. Most people go there on the Qinghai loop or on the way to western Sichuan and Gannan. If you pass by, you can still go there. It does feel like the Grand Canyon in the United States (I have never been there, but I have only seen it on TV). There may be some beautiful and sacred legends in the hearts of local people, but I didn’t see the spectacular scene that the tour guide said. It is recommended that you stop in Guide if you have time and take a look at the clear Yellow River.

In fact, the Guide Danxia is very large and has strange shapes. It is more diverse than the Seven-Colored Danxia, but its colors are not as beautiful as those of the Seven-Colored Danxia. However, I like it better.

Because I went there in November, and Guide is not as famous as Zhangye's Danxia, there were very few people and the park was not open. This is a pity. As a scenic spot belonging to Danxia geology, it is obviously different in color from Zhangye Danxia. Guide is known as the Little Jiangnan on the plateau and is still one of the scenic spots worth visiting.

The gate said that she could get a free ticket, but the ticket office charged half the ticket. Moreover, the ticket in Guide is 50 yuan, which means you don’t need to take the scenic bus. It’s 30 yuan to bring your own car. After a few days, it was raised to 150 yuan, and you are not allowed to bring your own car. It seems that there are too many people going to Qinghai, and price increases have become inevitable.

Personally, I think it's okay. Just take a look. I didn't spend too much time going in.

Guide National Geopark was the first surprise of this trip. It is about an hour's drive from Guide County and is a tourist attraction featuring natural landforms and geological relics.
