"In that faraway place, there is a good girl... I would like to wander on the grassland and follow her..." I believe many people can hum this familiar tune. It is said that Mr. Wang Luobin met the beautiful girl Zhuoma on the Jinyintan grassland and created this widely circulated song. This place was once a little-known mysterious restricted area. It gave birth to the first atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb of New China and was China's first nuclear weapons research and development base.
The Jinyintan Grassland is adjacent to Qinghai Lake in the west and surrounded by Qilian Mountains in the northeast. It has an average altitude of 3,200m and is divided into the Golden Beach and the Silver Beach. A small river flows through it. On the northern bank of the grassland, a kind of golden and fragrant small flower called golden plum blooms, so it is called the Golden Beach; on the southern bank of the grassland, the silvery white silver plum is the world, so it is called the Silver Beach. Every summer, wild flowers bloom, and the golden white flowers bloom into a piece, just like a golden and silver grassland, so the Jinyintan Grassland got its name.

The Jinyintan Grassland is located in the northwest of Xihai Town, Haiyan County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It is divided into Jintan and Yintan, with an average altitude of 3,200 meters. The name Jinyintan Grassland is mainly due to the white flowers on one side of the river and the yellow flowers on the other side, which are very beautiful.
The ticket to the Jinyintan Grassland Observation Deck is 15 yuan. Stay in the container hotel of Dayu Tribe and stroll around in the morning. The scenery is nice.
The sunset at Jinyintan was a big surprise this time. The feeling of the rays of light bursting out was amazing!
Actually, it's OK. The scenery you see on the north bank of Qinghai Lake is like this. It's much worse than the Qilian Grassland, so many people will feel a psychological gap. It's not bad just for the scenery. But there are fewer cattle and sheep...
Jinyintan Grassland is located in Haiyan County, Qinghai Province. It is a vast grassland covered with green grass. Cloud-like flocks of sheep and brown and black yaks wander among the green grass and wild flowers. From time to time, Tibetans in Tibetan costumes ride horses leisurely on the grassland. In the distance, the mountains are undulating, and occasionally eagles fly by. Lotus-like yurts are scattered in the depths of white clouds.
The plateau grasslands do not have dense aquatic plants like the grasslands in the mainland. The small grasses and some unknown wild flowers are all low to the ground, as if they would never get up again if you stepped on them. The grass is more lush near the water, and the grass is more sparse at higher altitudes.
In summer, wild flowers are in full bloom, and golden and white flowers bloom into patches, like golden and silver grasslands. It is really like a vast expanse of sky and fields, and cattle and sheep can be seen in the wind blowing through the grasslands. Note: You can ride horses, but you must choose a business that can follow you and lead the horse for you. Generally, it will not be open after 18:00, so you must plan your trip in advance.
The famous Factory 221 was built on this grassland. It is now abandoned, but the abandoned factory buildings are still there.
Jinyintan Grassland is located in the northwest of Haiyan County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.
The scenic area is very small, and half an hour's visit is enough. If you arrive early, you can drive directly into the scenic area. The person collecting tickets has not come yet. When you leave, they come and do not collect tickets, so you can visit for free.
The Jinyintan Grassland is located in Haiyan County, Qinghai Province. It is adjacent to Tongbao Mountain and Qinghai Lake in the west, surrounded by high mountains in the north and east, and borders Sanjiaocheng in Haiyan County in the south (Sanjiaocheng is the site of Xihai County, built during the reign of Wang Mang in the Western Han Dynasty). The Mapi River and the Halijin River run through this 1,100 square kilometer grassland, which is the famous Jintan and Yintan grasslands in Qinghai.
If you are unable to visit the Qilian Mountain Grassland during your visit to Qinghai, the Jinyintan Grassland is equally stunning and worth appreciating. It is close to the lake and not far from Xining. Don’t miss it if you want to experience the grassland!
On Huanhu North Road (in Haiyan County), Wang Luobin met Miss Zhuoma and wrote "In That Faraway Place".
The Jinyintan grassland is adjacent to Tongbaoshan and Qinghai Lake in the west, surrounded by high mountains in the north and east, and bordered by Sanjiaocheng in Haiyan County in the south (Sanjiaocheng is the site of Xihai County, built during the reign of Wang Mang in the Western Han Dynasty). The Mapi River and the Halijin River run through it. This is the famous Jintan and Yintan grasslands in Qinghai. In the spring of 1940, Wang Luobin created the immortal work "In That Faraway Place" here.
A grassland around the Atomic City, the scenery is beautiful on a sunny day!
It was June when I went there. I arrived too early and found this grassland by accident while taking a walk in the afternoon. I don't know if it was because of the time, but there were very few people here. The temperature dropped very quickly in the evening and it was soon too cold to bear. The grassland scenery was pretty good. There was a small river. If you have extra time, you can go and see it. It is very close to Xihai Town.
The guide map of the Jinyintan Scenic Area actually shows that there is no Jinyintan on it, only Jinhu and Yinhu. We went to Yinhu and Jinhu successively, but they were not the two. When we asked the locals, they couldn't explain clearly, and some even said, "We have Jinyintan everywhere here." It was really funny! We wasted a lot of time in vain. It turns out that Jinyintan is on both sides of the road from Haibei to Qinghai Lake. In fact, it is the grass on both sides of the road. The grass on the left and right sides are of different species, showing that one side is golden and the other side is silver. The color of the grass on this side is darker, and the color on the other side is lighter, and there is really nothing to see!
Jinyintan Grassland is a beautiful sight at the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains. It is not a scenic spot but a pasture for herdsmen. There are grassland scenery to see along the roadside and you can play on the grass.
In that faraway place there is a good girl. The initial expectation, the final beauty, the gold and silver, the green grass as the scenery
The Jinyintan Grassland covers an area of 1,100 square kilometers and has the famous Jintan and Yintan grasslands. It is the birthplace of the famous song "In That Faraway Place".
The scenery can be viewed from a distance. There are many similar scenery along the way, which is very beautiful. I personally think it is unnecessary to pay for tickets to enter the scenic area.
Another fenced scenic spot, you can go in and play sand motorcycles. It seems to be 100 or 200 per person. Anyway, I didn't go in. I had some food at a restaurant outside. The food in the scenic area is about 20 to 30 per serving. My companion, an old lady, wanted to take pictures, but she wouldn't let me climb over the fence. It was just a desert.

There is a grassland on the roadside from Qinghai Lake to the Atomic City. It was developed relatively simply 10 years ago and it seemed like you could ride horses there.
The Jinyintan Grassland National AAAA-level tourist attraction is located in Haiyan County, Qinghai Province. It is also China's first nuclear weapons research and development base. The Atomic City, the Atomic City Monument, the Atomic City Memorial Hall, and the explosion test site are all here.
The scenery is still very good, but it is a pity that it is divided into pieces by herdsmen and charged. If you want to take pictures on the grassland, there are many free grasslands in the following itinerary.
It’s a beautiful grassland. I think it will be even more beautiful in summer.
The Jinyintan Grassland is not as spectacular as previously imagined, perhaps because it is just too famous.
Because it was raining, I couldn't experience the charm of Jinyintan very well, but I looked at the main entertainment facilities such as sand motorcycles, so it was not so attractive to me, and the grassland was not as vast as that in Inner Mongolia, so this classic varies from person to person.
I remember that it was my first time traveling to Qinghai in August 2006. After visiting Ta'er Temple and Qinghai Lake, I went to the Atomic City and passed by Jinyintan.
Maybe it’s because I’ve seen too much of the lushness of the Inner Mongolia prairie, but I always feel that the grass on the plateau is dry and yellow, and looks malnourished.
However, at least Jinyintan is not bad, especially the water areas are still very beautiful.
The grassland is very large, all grass, no cattle or sheep grazing, but there are a few prayer flags, good for taking photos
Super beautiful grassland! ! The river is sparkling and the flowers on both sides are very beautiful~~
The ticket price is RMB 15.00 and the entrance fee is from the Tibetans. There is grass only in July and August. It is probably barren in other seasons.
Jinyintan Grassland Wang Luobing's famous song "In That Faraway Place" originated from there. The weather was very good on the day I went there. There were streams and lakes everywhere, and flowers were everywhere. It was just a little bit sunny and the ultraviolet rays were very strong.
Over-exploitation of tourism resources, grasslands are not beautiful, and commercialization is serious
The grassland feels a little small. The wind is strong, the sun is dazzling, the blue sky, white clouds and green grass are all integrated into one. It's great for taking photos!
The most beautiful scenery along the way can only be seen in July and August.
The right season to visit the prairie! The right season to visit the prairie! The right season to visit the prairie!
Important things should be said three times.
When we went there, it was gray and yellow and the scenery was not very good.
I heard that the song "In That Faraway Place~" was sung at Jinyintan.
The prayer flags are very ethnic, but ⚠️⚠️ don't hug the lamb casually
It’s actually very sad. The desert here is the result of desertification, and it is approaching Qinghai Lake at a very fast speed every year.
Blue sky, white clouds, green mountains, green water, endless grasslands, herds of cattle and sheep, I suddenly want to stay here to herd horses and sheep
It was my first time seeing a meadow grassland. The sky was blue, the clouds were white, the mountains were rolling in the distance, and the stream was cool.

It's not bad, not too big, but still enjoyable. I went there at the wrong season and it felt desolate.
Overall, it's just average. It's not the main point of coming to Qinghai Lake, so there are few people.
It was the first time I saw the beautiful scenery that appeared in the geography textbook. Under a large piece of white clouds, the grassland was also gloomy.
I was very lucky and saw a rainbow and elephant clouds, both of which were unexpected sights.
The scenery was average when I went there, but you can see that it is very beautiful when the time is right.
I fell in love with a wild horse, but there is no grassland at home!
In that distant place, beautiful love stories are passed down by people
The sky is blue, the ground is green, and it is a relaxing and pleasant world.
When I went there in July, the weather changed very quickly. It suddenly rained heavily and hailed... But I was still a little excited when I saw the endless prairie.
The prairie is my dream! I wish I could ride a horse on this vast prairie, and my mind would be much brighter.
In that distant place, I remember Zhuoma, and I remember the beautiful grassland - Jinyintan. In the song, it is an extremely beautiful and desirable place. But it is not so beautiful in reality, in Qinghai, where there are beautiful scenery everywhere. This place can only be used as a general scenery. Except for the statue of Zhuoma and the tablet of Jinyintan, it is difficult for me to associate it with the scenery of the distant song. If you enter here from a place with a store, you will be stopped and asked to pay a ticket of 15 yuan, which is a completely random charge. You can enter from the side without any fee. As soon as you enter, you can see the statue of Zhuoma and the tablet of Jinyintan, which are suitable for taking pictures. Then walk a little further and you can see the atomic city from a distance. On the other side, after passing the gully, there is a large grassland. Personally, I don’t think there is much unique beauty, but after listening to Wang Luobin’s song, I still need to come here to imagine that distant place.
The Jinyintan grassland has lush grass and fat cattle and sheep. People describe this beautiful and rich land as one covered with gold and silver, hence the name "Jinyintan".
The Jinyintan Grassland borders Qinghai Lake in the west and is surrounded by Qilian Mountains in the northeast. It has an average altitude of 3,200m and is divided into Jintan and Yintan.
It's quite big, and the grass isn't particularly dense, so it's quite suitable for taking pictures of the grass. Hahaha
The grassland is still quite empty, and the sunset also has a distant feeling, all the way north~
There is a fee of 5 yuan. You can ride a bike or horse inside. The scenery is beautiful, but the locals charge a little...
On the way to Qinghai Lake, we passed the Jinyintan Grassland. Because the flowering season had passed, we did not see any honeysuckle flowers.
Great, any one of them can be used as a screensaver.
Passing by Jinyintan, I felt it was just so-so. They say it is a wetland, but in fact it is just a pool of water on the grass.
It has not been fully developed yet, and is just a grassland. It is basically surrounded, so no one can enter, but the integrity of the grassland and barley fields is also guaranteed.
Main attractions: The golden season of Jinyintan is July, August and September, when flowers are in full bloom, birds are flying, and the song of the lark is especially charming and beautiful.
Jinyintan Grassland has the famous Jintan and Yintan Grasslands, and is the birthplace of the world-famous song "In That Faraway Place";
A small river flows through it. On the north bank, the grassland is full of golden and fragrant flowers called golden rudbeckia, so it is called Golden Beach. On the south bank, the grassland is full of silvery white golden rudbeckia, so it is called Silver Beach. In summer, wild flowers bloom and golden white flowers bloom into patches, like a golden and silver grassland, so the Jinyintan grassland got its name.
Various wild flowers on the grass.
I was with a tour group at that time. Time was limited so I couldn't go further. The large grassland in Jinyintan was very beautiful. You can try horse riding, which was really great.
The tour guide said: Jinyintan Grassland got its name because of the golden and white flowers blooming on the grassland.
This is the most boring attraction in the entire trip. Maybe I arrived at a bad time. Standing on the hillside, I could only see a small grass garden, which was not as beautiful as the scenery along the way.
It was here that Wang Luobin met the beautiful girl Zhuoma and wrote the famous poem "In That Faraway Place"! In that faraway place, there is a good girl!
The Jinyintan Grassland is next to the Atomic City. We went there at the wrong time. It is said that golden and silver flowers will bloom in May and June. The Jinyintan Grassland is just as its name suggests. However, when we went there, the sky was blue and the clouds were white, which was also very beautiful.
I just happened to catch the temple fair. For me, who comes from the grassland, the grasslands of Inner Mongolia are incomparable.
It happened to be the Chinese Valentine's Day, and everything seemed to have to be colored with romance. So I watched the blue sky and white clouds lingering in love, and watched the cattle, sheep, flowers and plants everywhere interpret their love.
The end of the downhill slope is the Jinyintan grassland, where Wang Luobin met the girl Zhuoma and wrote "In That Faraway Place". So I spent 80 yuan to ride a horse for half an hour in Jinyintan. It was so cool to gallop across the grassland.
Maybe it is not the most beautiful grassland in Qinghai, and it is not on the same level as the Qilian Mountain grassland, but it is famous in China because of Wang Luobin's "In That Faraway Place".
In my mind, the Golden Silver Beach must be a vast grassland with endless waves and numerous cattle and sheep. But in reality, it has been developed into an amusement park with many recreational facilities such as horse riding, which is quite different from the prairie in my mind. Even so, the prairie is still very beautiful for those who see it for the first time.
