Let's talk about the ticket first. 40 yuan doesn't sound expensive. After entering, I found that except for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell and Drum Tower, there are not many historical relics and humanities. Instead, there are shops with a strong commercial atmosphere, which makes people feel unpleasant. However, the peony garden is good. The peonies are in full bloom at the right time, especially some rare colors, green and yellow, which finally attracted many aunts to take pictures. Let's talk about the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Many tourists came for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. They didn't expect that after the ticket was 40 yuan, it would cost another 25 yuan to climb the tower. Everyone's idea is that since you are here, don't save money and go and see it. Of course, I am the same. However, what I want to say is that I think the price of 25 yuan for climbing the tower is about the same, but the ticket of 40 yuan is really too much, because there is really nothing to see. So it is recommended that the ticket is free and the tower is 25 yuan.

Da Ci'en Temple is located in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda scenic area. If you want to experience the Big Wild Goose Pagoda up close, you must buy a ticket to Da Ci'en Temple. Adult tickets are 40/person. The overall size of the temple takes about 1h-1.5h to visit. The temple is quite small. On both sides of the wall of Da Ci'en Temple are streets selling tourist souvenirs, etc. At night, you can watch the fountain and light show in the North Square. It's just that the day we went was World One Hour Day, so the 8:30 fountain was cancelled. What a pity

Da Ci'en Temple was a royal temple in the Tang Dynasty. It was originally built by Emperor Gaozong Li Zhi in memory of his mother, Empress Zhangsun. Monk Tang was the first abbot of the temple and translated Buddhist scriptures here. Except for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, most of the current Buddhist temple buildings are from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Buddha's relics and Xuanzang's skull are the treasures of the temple. There is a stupa in the pagoda forest to the east of the temple, which enshrines the eminent monks of the temple in the Qing Dynasty.

Da Ci'en Temple was built by Master Xuanzang for the purpose of storing and translating Buddhist scriptures. Having said that, Tang Monk was really patient. He traveled so far to learn Buddhism, and then memorized so many scriptures to translate, just to popularize Buddhism. Now I think he really had the spirit of a craftsman, haha~ But to be honest, I think this attraction is quite a rip-off. The ticket is 50 yuan. Da Ci'en Temple is not very big, and it is just an ordinary temple. There are Buddha statues in various halls, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is in the middle. You need to pay another 30 yuan to enter the pagoda. We went there in the off-season, and thought that since we were here, we might as well go up and take a look. It's not expensive. Now I think it was really stupid. I spent 30 yuan to climb to the 7th floor and then came down, and there was nothing inside~

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built by Xuanzang after he returned to Chang'an to translate Buddhist scriptures. If you don't know Buddhism, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda will be a quick visit. Two relics are enshrined on the third floor of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Looking out from the pagoda, you can clearly see the architectural layout style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty in the east, south, west and north. The octagonal pavilion in the temple and the surrounding plant layout look very special.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda looked nice from a distance. I took a few photos with my travel companions, but we didn't go in. The entire Ci'en Temple was under renovation, and there were large construction sites everywhere, so we couldn't play. The so-called musical fountain was not turned on. I stayed by the Big Wild Goose Pagoda for a while and then went to the main gate of Ci'en Temple to take a look. There was a large statue of Master Xuanzang at the main gate. I took a few photos of it at sunset, which was quite beautiful.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is where Xuanzang worked. It should be quite nice inside. It is worth going in for a walk if you have time. It will take about an hour to two hours.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is actually a Buddhist pagoda in Da Ci'en Temple. It was built in the 22nd year of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty (648 AD) by Crown Prince Li Zhi to pray for the blessings of his mother, Empress Wende.

Historically, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was the place where the newly-appointed Jinshi of the Tang Dynasty inscribed their names, giving birth to the "Yanta Inscriptions", one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Guanzhong". As time goes by, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda has now become a symbol of the ancient capital of Xi'an.

People go to Da Ci'en Temple basically for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. As for the temple itself, it is not very big, and the buildings are all restored later. It mainly introduces Xuanzang's journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures.

Let's learn about Buddhist culture. Mainly, it's the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area. In fact, there is an additional fee to climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (there are many people queuing, and there is actually nothing special inside). The ticket to the Da Ci'en Temple is 40 yuan. You can go and have a look. After all, it is a landmark.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda should be the first-class recommended attractions for tourists to Xi'an along with Shaanxi History Museum, Terracotta Warriors and Horses, and the ancient city wall! . It is recommended to visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi'an Museum in the morning, Shaanxi History Museum at noon, Dacibei Temple in the afternoon, and walk around the North and South Squares of Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the evening. There is a musical fountain in the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda at night.

Da Ci'en Temple was built by Emperor Gaozong of Tang to commemorate his mother. It was a very large temple in the Tang Dynasty. Later, Xuanzang translated scriptures here. It was destroyed many times due to wars and was rebuilt many times. The current scale is only a small part of the original one. As for whether you can climb the tower to see it from a distance, it depends on whether it will be repaired. When I arrived, I couldn't go up for this reason.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is very heavy. I asked the tour guide for a while. It is the place where Xuanzang translated the scriptures after returning from seeking scriptures. He lived here as abbot for more than ten years. It can be said to be a complete cultural relic. The carvings and architecture inside are wonderful and magnificent.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is majestic, grand and magnificent, especially at night when it is lit, it looks even more majestic and mysterious. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is famous because Tang Xuanzang went to the pagoda to seek Buddhist scriptures and stored them in the pagoda. Da Ci'en Temple is the ancestral temple of the Faxiang School of Buddhism. When I went there because of its reputation, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was being renovated and the various halls had also just been renovated. Xuanzang would have been very happy to see that this place was later turned into a large square with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda as the center.

By selenatong |

Da Ci'en Temple can only be entered from the South Square, and you can't go to the North Square. No matter where you enter, you have to go back the same way. Haha, probably considering the commercial street next to it. It's not big inside, there are many steps, and there is no consideration for the elderly and children with strollers. The service is not in place, not as good as the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, there is nothing to play. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is very majestic, and the bells on the corners of the tower still jingle when the wind blows, as if these thousands of years have passed in just one night.

By Rice Doudou |

I have always wanted to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda after reading the novel, and it finally came true. The pagoda gives people a sense of tranquility and solemnity. I also saw old people writing on the ground with water and pens on the roadside, which is full of ancient charm. I like the feeling here. The musical fountain at night is also very good, but there are so many people that it feels like a concert.

By Pearl |

The tour guide is such a rip-off. Four of us found a tour guide and now I can't squeeze in to listen to the explanation I paid for? The one in the circle is the tour guide I paid for. There are many different trees in the temple, which are well maintained and match the temple and Big Wild Goose Pagoda very well.

The ticket to Da Ci'en Temple is not expensive, but you need to buy a separate ticket if you want to climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is said that Da Ci'en Temple is where Xuanzang stayed to preach after returning from the West to seek Buddhist scriptures. There are basically Buddhist things inside. Climbing the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you can overlook the city of Xi'an, which is quite nice.

By Wwtt |

Actually it is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. I bought it on China-TravelNote. It costs 47 yuan plus the explanation. The ticket is 40 yuan at the door.

By little baby |

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is now in the Da Ci'en Temple scenic area, and you need to buy a ticket to enter the park. In front of the scenic area stands a statue of Master Xuanzang. Is the hardship along the way on the journey to the west also a part of the practice? The greening in the scenic area is very good. At a glance, you can see a small garden covered by lush greenery.

By mustard |

The ticket is 40 yuan, and the top of the tower is 20 yuan. We did not buy a ticket to enter the temple. We saw the night view of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda at 7 o'clock in the evening. I personally suggest that if you don't want to climb the tower, you can wait until night to see the night view.

By Lin Xiaobin |

I went there on New Year's Day, and there weren't too many people. I booked a ticket on China-TravelNote for 47 yuan, and I thought it was 3 yuan cheaper, but they had to pick up the tickets at a specified time and place, and go in together, so I thought it would be troublesome to refund the ticket. In fact, the off-season ticket price is 40 yuan, not 50 yuan as stated by China-TravelNote.

I don't recommend climbing the Big Wild Goose Pagoda because there's nothing to see. Just wander around the temple.

Because of the influence of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the temple is the ancestral temple of the world-famous Chinese Buddhism. This temple is very popular and attracts many pilgrims and tourists. The square in front of the temple gate is very wide and has a bronze statue of Master Xuanzang. To the north of the temple is a musical fountain. It is a tourist attraction regardless of winter or summer.

Fortunately, there were not many people queuing up to buy tickets for the Da Ci'en Temple. We bought them after queuing for a while. The ticket price was reduced during the National Day holiday. Haha, this is probably the only benefit. We hardly took any photos in the Ci'en Temple, after all, it is a holy place for Buddhism. The Ci'en Temple is not big, but there are many Buddha statues in it. There are also stories about the birth and enlightenment of the Buddha, as well as the story of Xuanzang. Interested friends recommend asking for an explanation so that you can have a deeper understanding of the Da Ci'en Temple. The incense in the Ci'en Temple is still quite prosperous, and there are many people who burn incense and worship Buddha. There is an incense burner at the place where you just enter the Ci'en Temple. Seeing many people queuing up to take pictures here, curiosity drove me to run over to find out. It turns out that through the hole of this incense burner, you can take pictures of the Ci'en Temple and the entire Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which can be said to be quite unique. Friends who come to the Ci'en Temple in the future, don't forget to take a picture.

The main attraction is the life and deeds of Master Xuanzang, the pagoda and the relics. It is recommended to hire a tour guide, otherwise it is just like watching the excitement and walking around and leaving! It is recommended to buy the 9:30 session. There are fewer tourists in the morning, and the light is very good for taking pictures before 10:30. After that, the sun is too glaring and you can't open your eyes to take pictures. The explanation time is about 1 hour, so be sure to listen carefully! !

Since you are here at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you must climb the pagoda. When you come here, you must listen to the story of Tang Sanzang's journey to the West. It is different from the story in Journey to the West. There are many tour groups here, and I listened to it on my own.

By Suzhou Xiaorehen |

Big Wild Goose Pagoda allows tourists to climb the tower, but there are many people. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a landmark building in Chang'an during the Tang Dynasty. It is more than 1,300 years old. I hired a tour guide for 6 people or less, 60 yuan, and the explanation lasted for 40 minutes. The explanations of the Great Hall, Tushita, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Xuanzang Memorial Pagoda were very good. Finally, I took him to the souvenir place in the temple and bought the consecrated ornaments at random.

At first we thought that Ci'en Temple and Big Wild Goose Pagoda were two separate places, but when we arrived we realized that Big Wild Goose Pagoda was inside Ci'en Temple.

According to the explanation, the names of the top scholars who achieved success in the Tang Dynasty were engraved inside the Ci'en Temple, so now people who come to seek academic and career success will choose to walk around the pagoda three times to pray. Since I was on the road to the civil service exam, of course I would not miss it. After the explanation, I walked around it three times clockwise. While walking around, I actually saw believers bowing their heads three times every three steps to worship devoutly.

By bear62 |

You can have a good walk around. The environment is still very good. You can also take a tour guide to listen to the explanation. This is a place where Buddhist culture is prominent and has a sacred color. Maybe too many tourists are concentrated in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and there are fewer tourists around. If you have time, it is also good to take a walk or sit on the stone bench under the tree.

Da Ci'en Temple is really a historic site. If you look up from below, you will find that it is a little crooked... But after so many years... There are two tickets for Da Ci'en Temple. The main ticket is 50 yuan/person, and the tower climbing fee is another 20 yuan/person. Anyway, since you are here, go up and take a look. After all, it is a thousand-year-old building~~

There are seven floors in total. There are windows on each floor to see the scenery outside. The stairs in the tower are narrower as you go up... There are exhibits on each floor, such as Buddha statues, relics, scriptures, etc. Some are replicas, but the relics are real! It is a Buddhist holy place, so I didn't take many photos and forgot some of them.

After exiting the subway, we arrived at the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. We walked along the wall of Da Ci'en Temple all the way to the South Square and bought tickets at the entrance. The temple is full of red and gray brick and tile walls. My mother is a Buddhist and she worshipped as she walked. I don't understand these things, but I know how to respect. Hmm~ While waiting for her to worship, I looked at the information board on the side and admired the red and gray architectural style~ I have to say that the aesthetic color matching of the temple is really elegant and simple, very beautiful! The next is the highlight. Climbing the Big Wild Goose Pagoda... 7 floors, the stairs are steep and narrow, and you have to buy a separate ticket, but my mother wants to see the relics collected in the tower, and I also think that since I'm here, I might as well go to the top and punch in~ So, I climbed like this. When I went down the tower, I held the handrail of the stairs all the way, and my legs were sore. I think if I live nearby, I can get an annual pass to climb twice a day. I will definitely lose weight.

By Li Chunxu |

The temple is a place for worshipping Buddha. Believers can worship Buddha properly, while those who do not believe in Buddhism can just take a general look. It is worth mentioning that the treasure of this temple is the relics of Master Xuanzang, which everyone can pay homage to. As for climbing the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you can go and have a look if you like. The stairs are steep and the space is narrow, so it is a bit tiring to go upstairs, but I suggest you just take a look from the outside.

By DMG Dog |

Not long after entering the gate of the scenic area, I saw devout Buddhists chanting in the hall. Xuanzang, as the first abbot of Da Ci'en Temple, started to teach Buddhist culture for a thousand years. Looking at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda from different angles, each side has a different appearance, just like the prosperous Tang Dynasty when poetry, songs and paintings flourished, cultures from various countries blended with each other, and there were different glories. When the wind blows, the copper bells hanging on the corners of each floor of the tower begin to float, making a crisp sound. This sound resounds from Chang'an in the prosperous Tang Dynasty to the modern Xi'an with rapid development today.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is worth visiting. The Buddhist temple inside is very luxurious and exquisite. You need to pay a separate ticket to climb the tower. There are palm leaf scriptures and relics in the tower. You can also overlook the old city of Chang'an from the top of the tower. If you go to Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square, it is better to go in and visit.

It has a lot to do with Tang Xuanzang. It is said that the Buddhist scriptures he brought back were placed here. You can climb the tower during the business hours of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Many foreigners were listening to the tour guide carefully, but I was just taking a quick look.

Students can enjoy half price! The guide is 60 yuan, but it is necessary to hire a guide. You can learn a lot of history. You can see the finger bone relics of Xuanzang here (I have to say there are really many relics in Xi'an). I was sweating profusely after visiting the whole circle. At the exit, I felt the prices of the Tang Dynasty. Water and popsicles were very expensive. When I entered the temple, I looked up and saw, eh? The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is tilted? Is there something wrong with my eyes? Or is it really the case?

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is worth visiting. If you are not interested in Buddhist culture and do not want to enter the temple (like me), it is best to go in the evening. The surrounding scenery is very good and the temperature is relatively comfortable, which is more suitable for walking and taking pictures. In summer, the sun usually sets in Xi'an around 8 pm. I went on Friday. At 9 pm, there was a musical fountain in the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda (the only time after dark that day, and it is said that there may be more times on holidays). It is very famous and large in scale, but it is really crowded and noisy. Basically, you can't see anything in the crowd, so the viewing experience is very poor. In fact, many cities have musical fountains, and they are not new, but at night, the lights of the musical fountains on the Big Wild Goose Pagoda are still golden, giving a sense of Buddha's light. The North Square is relatively prosperous, with snack streets and restaurants around it. The price is also more affordable than the "Muslim Street" (how much I hate Muslim Street). You can eat there before the music fountain at night (there are also many people, and it is not easy to find seats in some restaurants). In short, it is a landmark building in Xi'an, and it is also great to visit it.

As a landmark building in Xi'an, it has also become a must-visit spot for many tourists.

There will be people in the temple who will give special explanations, mainly introducing the zodiac Buddha of each zodiac sign, as well as what to ask for when worshipping different Buddhas, which can only be realized if you ask the Buddha for the truth. The ultimate goal of the explanations is of course to lead you into the shopping store.

The religious content inside is actually hard to see through. If you don’t buy a ticket, you can take a photo with the statue of Xuanzang at the entrance and include the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the picture, which means you have fulfilled the purpose of your visit.

I just came out and now I am sitting in the Starbucks opposite to have lunch. I can't walk anymore (mainly because I have walked around Huimin Street in the morning). I bought a ticket with a guide. The overall feeling is good. I learned a lot of Buddhist knowledge and corrected some previous superstitious ideas. The rain did not stop the tourists. There were also a lot of people and more and more people. I walked around and was impressed by the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It has experienced an earthquake but it remains unmoved. I admire the wisdom of the ancients. They built a tower without any physical theory and it has stood for more than a thousand years. Who would have thought that there would be no monsters a thousand years later, but groups of people holding cameras and mobile phones took crazy photos of it. How many years can the photos be preserved? In addition, the words of the tour guide sister touched me a lot. Many people pray to Buddha only for wealth, but in fact, health and safety are the greatest wealth. Although I understand the truth, I don’t know why I feel particularly powerful when I hear this sentence in Da Ci’en Temple.

The garden is not big, but it is very quiet and there are fewer people.

Although I don't have any religious beliefs, I believe in it a little bit because my grandfather's generation did. Da Ci'en Temple is a very famous temple with a lot of worshippers, so I bought a string of Buddhist beads there for my father as a birthday gift.

I didn't buy a ticket to go in, but I went to the North Square of Dayan Pagoda at night to see the fountain. The night view is beautiful.

More than 1,300 years ago, Master Xuanzang translated Buddhist scriptures here. Would he also climb to the top of the tower and occasionally look back on the way home?

By Kafka on the Shore |

I took a quick look at the Buddhist temples and Da Ci'en Temple, but they were all built later. After walking for a while, I saw a tour guide explaining, so I listened to various historical stories for a while without asking for face. It was pretty good.

Da Ci'en Temple is where Xuanzang stored Buddhist scriptures and statues after he returned from his pilgrimage. Xuanzang translated Buddhist scriptures here. It was once one of the most famous temples in the Tang Dynasty. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located in Da Ci'en Temple, also known as the Ci'en Temple Pagoda.

Da Ci'en Temple has long been destroyed, and what you see now are newly built ones. They are not as ancient as Dayan Pagoda Jianfu Temple, nor as quiet.

It was raining on the day I went there. I climbed to the top of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and saw the scenery of Xi'an from all directions.

When you see the statue of Master Xuanzang, it means you have arrived. See the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the temple through the Da Ci'en Temple

The ticket to Da Ci'en Temple is 50 yuan per person, and students can pay half price. Climbing the tower is another 30 yuan per person, but we did not choose to climb the tower. It was Xuanzang who presided over the temple affairs here and supervised the construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Da Ci'en Temple (Big Wild Goose Pagoda) is a must-visit place in Xi'an.
