Huangdi Mausoleum

It is the tomb of Huangdi Xuanyuan, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. It is said that Huangdi ascended to heaven, so this tomb is a cenotaph.
The scenic area consists of Xuanyuan Temple and Huangdi Mausoleum. There are 16 ancient cypresses in the courtyard. The most precious cypress was planted by Xuanyuan Huangdi himself, more than 5,000 years ago.
The three characters "Huangdi Mausoleum" in front of the Huangdi Mausoleum were proposed by Chiang Kai-shek. National sacrifices of all dynasties were held here.

The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor occupies a very important position in Chinese culture. The sacrificial ceremony of the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is a ceremony that the central government of all dynasties attaches great importance to. The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is divided into two parts: Xuanyuan Temple and the Yellow Emperor Mausoleum. There are sixteen ancient cypresses in the Xuanyuan Temple, one of which is said to be planted by the Yellow Emperor, but I don’t know if it is true or not. There are also stone tablets with sacrificial inscriptions written by emperors of all dynasties, which have a sense of historical sedimentation.

After crossing Xuanyuan Bridge, there is Xuanyuan Temple. On the left is the electric car area where you can take the car to the Yellow Emperor Mausoleum. You need to buy a separate ticket for the electric car. When we arrived, there were not many people waiting, so we got on the car in a few minutes. When we came back, we found that there was a long queue. In fact, the temple area and the mausoleum area are not too far apart. If you really have to wait for a long time, you can consider walking there.

The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, located in Beiqiao Mountain, Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, is the tomb of the Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units, a national intangible cultural heritage, and a world cultural heritage.

Every year during the Qingming Festival, a grand public memorial service is held to promote national culture, boost national spirit, and inspire patriotic enthusiasm.

By Star Traveler |

It is very grandly built, with many things to see, including more than 40 imperial steles. After all, it is the number one ancient tomb in China, so you must go. But don't go during the summer vacation!

The Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor is the burial place of Emperor Huangdi, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. It is the only Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor recorded in the Records of the Grand Historian, one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units (ancient tomb No. 1) and the first batch of 5A-level scenic spots.

The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is located in Yan'an. It is the mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. After years of development and construction, the mausoleum has been enlarged and has become a focus of Chinese history and culture. The main attractions of this scenic spot are the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor and the Xuanyuan Temple. The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor was called "Qiaoling" in ancient times. It is the place where emperors and celebrities of all dynasties worshipped the Yellow Emperor.

By Yun Duo's Travel Diary |

The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is the first mausoleum in China. It is located in Huangling County, a 2-hour drive north of Xi'an. I personally think it is better to come here in the middle of the night when there are fewer tourists and you can take beautiful photos of the light and shadow effects of the Xuanyuan Hall.

Ticket price: 75 yuan

The trip to northern Shaanxi can be divided into four routes, namely, the southeast, northwest and northeast, with Yan'an as the center. On the first day, the plane landed at Xi'an Xianyang Airport at noon, and drove for two and a half hours to the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum. You can play until the scenic spot closes. During this time, there are fewer people in the scenic spot, so you can take your favorite photos slowly. After that, drive 2 hours to Yan'an for accommodation, which can be regarded as playing the southern line of Yan'an.

Although it is ordinary from the perspective of scenery, it has a rich Chinese culture and history and is worth experiencing.

By When I was flying, I had a light dream. |

The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is known as the "First Mausoleum of China". It is the tomb of the Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. However, the real body of the Yellow Emperor was not buried here. Instead, it was built by later generations to commemorate this Chinese ancestor.

By Mr.Jie |

In terms of historical significance, the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is definitely worth a visit. It is a tourist attraction that the descendants of Yan and Huang should not miss. There are 95 steps all the way up, which is to describe the supreme status of the Yellow Emperor as the "Nine Five Supremes".

After about two hours of visiting, it was getting dark and we prepared to return to downtown Xi'an.

By Chrissy |

When I climbed up the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum, I heard the national anthem and the oath. A group of grandpas and aunts shouted excitedly, "We are back, we are back." I was almost moved to tears.

By Thinking Drink |

I took an electric car up the mountain and took a look around. The viewing value was average. Only the two cypress trees at the foot of the mountain looked good. However, if you have been to attractions such as the Confucius Temple, it is not recommended to visit the Xuanyuan Temple. The visit value is average.

By wait…… |

If you have enough time, you can still go to the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum. The key to the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum is the Yellow Emperor's tomb, which is on the mountain, a mound with a few trees, but the scenic spot recommends the Xuanyuan Hall that was built later. Going to the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum from the Xuanyuan Hall, the exit gate indicated by the sign is closed, and you have to consult the ticket gate staff, and then take a detour to the battery station.

An attraction that the descendants of the Yellow Emperor should not miss

Listen to the tour guide telling stories from ancient times on the bus

This seems to have been heard in the game.

On the Dispute between Huangdi, Yandi and Chiyou

You can believe it whether it's true or not.

After all, this is a beautiful legend of our ancestors.

By Uncle's Little Stupid Dan |

Standing in the center of Xuanyuan Hall, I felt an inexplicable sense of pride for the Chinese nation. I took an electric car to the top of the mountain and climbed 272 steps (7-2=5, 7+2=9, the highest level) to the scenic area. As a descendant of the Yellow Emperor, I had to climb the entire step out of respect for Emperor Xuanyuan.

By Purple Air from the East |

During the National Day holiday, I drove more than 500 kilometers to Huangling to pay homage to Emperor Xuanyuan, the ancestor of China. There were a lot of people and cars. The temporary parking lot was in a pile of old rubble. The ticket was 75 yuan. Most of the temples were newly built. One incense stick cost 90 yuan. After worshiping, I was fooled to write my name and a gold-plated piece on a cloth strip on the table for 180 yuan. It cost 20 yuan per person to take an electric car to Huangling. It was less than 2 miles and I got off the car and walked up the steps for 650 meters. The mound on top was too small, which made me disappointed. The county town is dirty and messy. Parking and eating require money. I personally think that paying homage to ancestors is the common wish of the descendants of the dragon. The ticket should not exceed 30 yuan, and 5 yuan is enough for small transportation. The incense money is comparable to that of Shaolin Temple. It is simply an insult to the ancestors. It is difficult for poor places to turn over.

The Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum is worth a visit. It has a profound historical heritage and is also a beautiful Feng Shui treasure land. Towering ancient trees, solemn stele forests, and mausoleum inscriptions, it is a blessing to have such beautiful scenery on this desolate loess plateau.

Meet our ancestors! More than 300 steps

By Loch Ness |

The 5A scenic spot is located on Qiaoshan Mountain. As a place for the state to worship ancestors, its status is very prominent. There are names inscribed by leaders and trees planted by politicians and celebrities. What is more valuable is that a large proportion of the pines and cypresses are over 3,000 years old, witnessing the past and present, which is consistent with its lofty status.

By HWL |

The Yellow Emperor Mausoleum Scenic Area is right on the roadside. It is not easy to see the entrance. Just follow the navigation and you will see a row of buses. When you enter the Yellow Emperor Mausoleum Scenic Area, you will see the 4,000-year-old cypress planted by the Yellow Emperor. The vigorous and powerful trunk stretches upward. Each line is the precipitation of thousands of years of history. After thousands of years, it is still lush and green. There are 14 ancient cypresses over 3,000 years old in the entire mausoleum area, and countless cypresses over a thousand years old... These cypresses are living witnesses of history. Buy a few flowers and dedicate them to the ancestors of China. The fragrance of flowers is our longing. After walking through the mausoleum area, you will reach the public sacrifice hall. There are 95 steps in order. Nine bronze tripods are lined up, and 56 bright yellow flags are fluttering in the wind. A hall with a round sky and a square earth appears in front of you, and the portrait brick of the Yellow Emperor stands in the center of the hall.

By Smoke-free |

Unlike the 5A scenic spots, the battery car costs 20 yuan and the ticket costs 90 yuan, which is not cost-effective and commercialized. The Xuanyuan Temple is the altar and the stele forest. When you take the battery car, you can actually see the parking lot above. It's a rip-off. You have to climb a big mountain to get on the battery car.

By A smile passes |

This is a very disappointing attraction, with a name only. You can finish the tour in 20 minutes. It is a purely modern building, too commercialized, and full of the stinky smell of copper. I suggest you don't buy a ticket and just take pictures at the door.

The on-site tour guide did not have a headset, and his voice was low, which was difficult to hear when there were many people. The content of the explanation was simple and stiff, and it was all written next to the exhibits.

The tour guide led people to the incense burning and semi-forced prayer table throughout the whole process. A yellow cloth strip was put directly around people's necks for 30 yuan, and a red cloth strip was given for them to write their names on. After they had written their names, they were told that the price was 180 yuan per strip.

There is absolutely no point in going to this scenic spot. It is better to stay at Hukou Waterfall for a while. It is purely a gimmick to make money by using the descendants of Yan and Huang. It is the worst scenic spot I have ever been to. Whoever goes there will regret it.

By Qiu Shui Yi Ren |

It is indeed a Feng Shui treasure land, surrounded by mountains and rivers. The mottled lines of the ancient trees tell the vicissitudes of thousands of years. You can walk around. The cable car is very close, so you don't have to take the car if you have enough time.

Let us pay homage to the ancestor of the Chinese nation, Emperor Huangdi

By Walker 2010 |

This attraction is the one that least matches the title of 5A scenic spot among all the tourist attractions I have visited. The Xuanyuan Temple is newly built (except for a few cypress trees said to be planted by the emperor). Most people should be able to finish the visit in 20 minutes. The emperor's mausoleum is on the mountain. The ticket for the battery car is 20 yuan, including the explanation, and it takes no more than 30 minutes! Unless you have a special complex, don't go, don't go, don't go!

By Li Xiaolizi |

There are many ancient cypresses around the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, and these towering cypresses have witnessed many changes in the world.

By exodus |

Giving one star is really affected by the tour group. This attraction is on the line of Hukou Waterfall, so we went together! Listen to me, don't buy a battery car at the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, don't buy it, don't buy it, don't buy it! I believe that many people who go to this line are in a group. The time for the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is about 1.5 to 2 hours. After entering, the tour guide in the scenic area will explain it to you. There is no headset. A group of people surround the tour guide. The tour guide talks about the stele in the pavilion like reciting without emotion. The time is about 15-20 minutes, and then let you move freely for about 20 minutes. Because the ticket is booked, we will wait at the battery car. Figure 1 shows the place where the emperors used to worship in the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor. This is also the place where everyone takes more photos. Above is the open-air dome. I don’t know if our group has very little time. We can’t go up at all in free time. We go to the toilet, walk around and go back to gather the battery car. Then line up to take the battery car up, and drive slowly all the way up the winding mountain road. It took about 6-7 minutes to arrive, and then you were asked to climb the mountain to the monument of the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum. It took about 20-30 minutes to climb the mountain. Then you had to check your ticket again. After entering, there was a monument, and then it was a park-like place. I didn't take pictures. Then I climbed up 7 ups and 8 downs to the small viewing platform, which was surrounded by trees and I didn't see anything. After getting off the viewing platform, I saw a hall of the Hundred Family Names. I walked in, and 3 staff members sat and asked us what incense we bought to contribute. I said, let's take a look. They immediately let us out. It's really disgusting. The Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum has been made so coppery. I remembered the sacrificial hall that I hadn't seen just now at the foot of the mountain. I immediately climbed down the mountain and took the battery car down, but who knew that I was sent directly to the gate of the scenic area. I couldn't get in... My heart was bleeding. I came out before I found my roots. I looked at my watch and there were still 10 minutes before the gathering time. I came to the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum, but I didn't find out why, and I didn't know the historical allusions inside. It's really sad. Take a photo to remember? What's the point? By the way, the ticket seems to be 90 yuan. The battery car is 20 yuan. I didn't see anything in the scenic area for 100 yuan. I was really disappointed with this tour group. I will not join the tour group again after this. It's better to go on your own and appreciate the historical relics. Otherwise, you will have to leave without understanding anything. Facts have proved that this is right.

Ordinary mobile phones cannot capture the full view of the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum. It is really too magnificent.

After climbing the stone steps of the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, you can see what the ancients believed in as "the sky is round and the earth is square". I heard that to take pictures here you need to raise your hands high above your head, like standing upright with your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands raised high and in line with your shoulders!

I can only describe it as OK. There are only a lot of super old cypress trees that can arouse my interest. Uh, the rest is really OK.

Every green pine and cypress tree in the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor exudes a long and profound history, while the Xuanyuan Temple is solemn and majestic, filling one with awe as soon as one steps into the mausoleum.

It's a kind of belief. I prefer the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum to the buildings in the square. The green pines and cypresses reveal a heavy history. The whole way to the mausoleum is very clean and elegant. It's just that I don't recommend riding the electric car because it's very close. Of course, it's another matter on hot days. The performance is particularly funny, like a group of defeated scattered soldiers, which really loses the bearing of Greater China.

There will be a sacrificial ceremony. You must take a photo with a special pose when you come here.

This pose was inspired by the photographers next to me. There were several photographers next to me, holding SLR cameras and asking me to take pictures and post them. The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is known as the "No. 1 Mausoleum in the World". It is said to be the mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. The Yellow Emperor was a great tribal leader in the late primitive society of my country. In order to commemorate him, people built this large-scale mausoleum. The entrance square is paved with large cobblestones, symbolizing the 5,000-year civilization history of the Chinese nation. Walking on it, you seem to feel the profound history and culture of my country. In addition, the surrounding area of the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum is full of ancient cypresses, which echo the blue sky and white clouds, adding a lot of color to the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor.

Arrive at Huangling South Station and take a bus to the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor to pay homage, which is known as the No. 1 Mausoleum in the World!

The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is the burial place of the first ancestor of the Chinese nation, the Yellow Emperor. It is the only Yellow Emperor Mausoleum recorded in the Records of the Grand Historian. It is said to be the mausoleum of the first ancestor, the Yellow Emperor. It is located on the top of Qiaoshan Mountain in the north of Huangling County. The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor was called "Qiaoling" in ancient times. It is the place where emperors and celebrities of all dynasties in China worshipped the Yellow Emperor. According to records, the earliest worship of the Yellow Emperor began in 442 BC.

In ancient times, Qiaoshan was the residence of the Jiao clan and was called Jiaoshan. In the Yellow Emperor era, it was called "Xuanyuan Hill" or "Xuanyuan Terrace", and the Yellow Emperor was named "Xuanyuan" for this reason. The Yellow Emperor's city palace was located here, and later it evolved into Qiaoshan. The mountain is covered with dense forests, including more than 30,000 ancient cypresses over a thousand years old. It is the oldest, largest and best-preserved ancient cypress group in China.

Entering the temple gate, the first thing you see is the cypress planted by Emperor Huangdi himself. It is located 2 meters to the left of the Xuanyuan Temple gate. It is more than 5,000 years old and is the oldest cypress in the world. It is known as the "Father of Cypresses in the World" and the "Crown of Cypresses in the World". The ancient cypress is lush and vigorous, with a trunk slightly leaning to the south. The tree is 19.3 meters tall and has a breast diameter of 11 meters. A local proverb says "seven hugs and eight and a half, the lumps don't count", which means that seven people holding hands can't hug it, and there are still eight and a half left, and the lumps are not counted. It is indeed the crown of the cypresses~

The square in front of the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is paved with 5,000 smooth and flat river pebbles with a diameter of half a meter, symbolizing the 5,000-year civilization history of the Chinese nation.

Beside the stone path leading to the mausoleum area, there is a "Dismounting Stone" with the words "Civil and military officials dismount here" written on it.

There is a "Hanwu Immortal Terrace" near the mausoleum area. On the stele below the terrace is an inscription that reads "Every time you climb it, you live one year longer."

Climb up the Yulong Pavilion and look down from here, and you can have a panoramic view of the entire Huangling County.

It happened to be the Double Ninth Festival, and I was shocked to see a large-scale ceremony to commemorate Emperor Xuanyuan, with performances by drum troupes and other groups.

Unfortunately, my fellow travelers said that the scenic spot was free of charge during the Double Ninth Festival. We were from the Northeast and didn't know that. The tickets we booked on Ctrip were verified and exchanged, and the ticket office staff didn't remind us. After that, we communicated with Ctrip to get a refund but failed. The Xuanyuan Temple and the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum are sold together as a combined ticket.

The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor has beautiful scenery and pleasant views, but I am very dissatisfied with this aspect of the service.

As descendants of Yan and Huang, do we need a reason to worship the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor?

The ancient cypresses at the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum are the oldest, largest and best preserved ancient cypresses in China, with a total of more than 80,000 trees, of which more than 30,000 are over 1,000 years old. The "Yellow Emperor's Hand-planted Cypresses" are more than 5,000 years old and are said to have been planted by the Yellow Emperor himself. They are the oldest cypresses in the world and are known as the "Father of Cypresses in the World" and the "Crown of Cypresses in the World".

The Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor is the burial place of Emperor Huangdi, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. It is the only Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor recorded in "Records of the Grand Historian" and is located in Beiqiao Mountain, Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province.

The 5,000-year-old cypress tree is really majestic. There is a shuttle bus to the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum on the mountain on the right side of the main hall scenic area (20 yuan round trip), or you can walk up along the road. Be sure to take the ticket because you will have to check it again when you go up.

The sky is round and the earth is square, with green pines and ancient cypresses, where the descendants of Yan and Huang worship their ancestors. The spiritual energy and fairy air are chaotic and open, making people feel refreshed and relaxed.

We took a battery car from Xuanyuan Temple to the mountainside. The tour guide said that we still had to climb 400 steps. I counted them one by one. I climbed 300 steps and arrived at the square in front of the mausoleum. It was very big, with yellow flags on both sides. I walked through the square and climbed about 30 steps to enter the Tianyuan Difang Hall. It felt so spacious! There was a big round hole above my head (foreshadowing the Tianyuan). The four corners of the hall were supported by pillars (foreshadowing the place). Behind the hall was the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum. It was very simple. There was a stone tablet on the hall with the image of the Yellow Emperor (not a statue). I was a little confused. There were less than 400 steps! I saw on the left that there was a Hanwu Qixian Terrace, which required 77 steps to go up. Adding up, there were 400 steps. I didn't go up. That was it. I didn't expect that it would be a blessing in disguise. The tour guide said that it was right to leave room for yourself and give yourself room to rise. Otherwise, if everything has come to an end, what's the point?

Needless to say, everyone in the Chinese nation knows that Huangdi is the ancestor of human civilization.

It is necessary to walk around the mausoleum counterclockwise to sweep the tomb, which means that people hope time can go back and recall the past to remember the virtues of the late emperor and ancestors.

Before lunch, we arrived at the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum, the root of the descendants of Yan and Huang. Located in Huangxian County, it is the mausoleum of Gongsun Xuanyuan, the ancestor of human civilization, and is also the place where the descendants of the Chinese nation worship their ancestors every year.

The photography skills are average, but it is worth recommending.
