South Peak is very close to East Peak. It is not easy to come here once. Don't leave yourself with regrets. East Peak has an exciting project, walking on the cliff, which I will not show you. There are a maximum of 10 people each time, and it takes about 1 hour to go back and forth. Secondly, those who are afraid of heights should not try it. In addition, the travel time does not allow us to spend too much time in this place. If there is a chance, everyone can decide whether to try it according to their own situation.

By Stone as Rough as Piece |

I found that there were many more Huashan pines on the top of this mountain compared to the West Peak and the South Peak that I had climbed before. They were very tall.

The crown of the ancient pine tree casts a mottled shadow on the stone surface on the top of the mountain, and the vigorous and winding tree roots stubbornly open cracks and gullies on the stone surface, which is also magical~ and also provides a foothold for climbing~

I stayed at the Sun Viewing Platform on the top of the East Peak for about 20 minutes and started to walk down. I was impressed by how many tall Chinese pine trees there were on the top of the East Peak. Even at the top of the peak, you can enjoy the shade.

Huashan is a great place to watch the sunrise. Although I didn't have the chance to watch it this time, the scenery was still very impressive. The only drawback is that the plank road on the mountain is a bit slippery. Although the staff tried their best to sweep the snow, the temperature on the mountain is relatively low, and it is easy for a thin layer of ice to form on the plank road. You need to be extra careful when walking.

The mountains are very steep and the scenery is very beautiful, spectacular and majestic.

The sunrise at the East Peak of Mount Hua is absolutely beautiful. After watching the sunrise, you can experience the kite flip and go to the chess pavilion to see a different scenery!

By Taishada |

The East Peak of Mount Huashan is also known as Chaoyang Peak and is the best place to watch the sunrise on Mount Huashan!

By Know Autumn |

Although I didn’t see the sunrise at East Peak, since it is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Guanzhong, it should be correct!

By Big Bad Wolf |

The main peaks are where people who climb Huashan at night wait for the sunrise.

By Susu |

We wanted to see the sunrise, but unfortunately there was nothing. There were about 200 people waiting for the sunrise on the top of the mountain that day.

By This road - it's great to have you |

This time I climbed Huashan Mountain at night. I finally reached the East Peak, but it was drizzling. God didn't give me face. My wish to watch the sunrise at the East Peak was shattered. After that, it was drizzling all the time. I couldn't see the sunrise, so I didn't go to the South Peak. It was a pity.

By Nine o'clock |

The East Peak has not been fully developed. There is a Sun Viewing Platform, which should be a great place to watch the sunrise on Mount Huashan. I heard from others that you need to climb to the top at night and watch it the next morning. Unfortunately, it is too cold in winter, and hiking at night is seeking death. You can do this if you come here in summer.

By Chrissy |

It still took me 3 hours to cross from the West Peak to here for the sunrise. I waited for the sunrise in the cold wind. Fortunately, there were no clouds or fog blocking the view.

The best place to watch the sunrise at Huashan, but we couldn't see anything in the clouds

By Li travels all over the world |

In July 2012, I went to Shaanxi for 7 days and stayed in Huashan for 2 days. I climbed all night. From 7 pm to 5 am, it took ten hours to finally climb the East Peak at an altitude of 2,090 meters to watch the sunrise. There were many people and it was crowded, but the scenery of Huashan was in full view. Slowly, the sun rose, and the stunning and beautiful sunrise was refreshing. East Peak, also known as Chaoyang Peak, is one of the main peaks of Huashan, named because of its location in the east. There is a platform on the top of the peak, which is high and dangerous, with a wide view and a panoramic view of thousands of scenery. The top of East Peak is full of giant cypresses and pines, with thick shades covering the sun, and the environment is very quiet. Visitors walk through the pine forest, with a group of green shades above, like an umbrella, and the sound of pine waves in their ears, like chanting, and they feel relaxed and happy, detached from the world.

By A Hao can't get fat |

Huashan East Peak is a good place to watch the sunrise, but accommodation here is also very expensive. Many people climb to the East Peak overnight, which also saves a lot of accommodation fees.

By Jiushe Wealth |

The best place to watch the sunrise is next to the kite flip. Friends who are brave enough can come and try it.

By Fog |

The best place to watch the sunrise is not necessarily at the East Peak, which is crowded and monotonous without any scenery. In comparison, Yingyang Cave near the East Peak may be more suitable, but the climb up is probably more difficult.

We stayed at Dongfeng at night. The accommodation at Dongfeng was very simple. After all, it was on the top of the mountain and there was no other choice. The cheapest one was 180 yuan per bed for 10 people. It was a bunk bed. You can refer to the prices of other room types online. It was interesting to chat with people from all over the place. In the open space outside the room, there were also people who set up their own tents. They were all young people who carried their own tents from the bottom of the mountain. They rented simple small tents at the bottom of the mountain for 50 yuan each, with moisture-proof mats. I think it's too cold. We were still cold when we lived in the house and covered with quilts. I saw that they also rented coats at the top of the mountain for 50 yuan each, and a deposit of 100 yuan (remind you again that you need cash to rent a coat.) I personally think that climbing the mountain is very strenuous, and it should be very tiring to carry a tent, and you have to rent a coat and suffer from the cold. I personally feel that it is more cost-effective to stay in a hotel. Friends can consider it according to their own situation.

The next morning at 5 o'clock, the outside started to bustle. I pushed the door open and saw that the eastern sky and the junction of the Wei River were dyed orange. The mountains were stacked up one after another. The moment the sun rose, the steep cliffs on the towering cloud peaks suddenly glowed.

By Wild~ |

We climbed for 6 hours, stopping and starting. We climbed at night. I don't know if we dare to go down during the day. And it was very cold.

By Scholar's spirit |

East Peak is the best place to watch the sunrise on Huashan. When I went there, the clouds were thick, so I didn't see the sunrise, but I saw the sea of clouds.

By Big orange 🍊 |

Dongfeng is the best place to watch the sunrise, but unfortunately it was already noon when I arrived at Dongfeng.

By Feng Lin |

We arrived at the East Peak at 1:30, the sunrise was at 5:30. It was extremely cold at the top of the peak. We were wearing thin clothes. In order not to freeze to death before sunrise, we each spent 50 yuan to rent a military coat at the place where we rented military coats. With this coat, I slept on the road at the top of the mountain for three hours. We arrived at the East Peak at 1:30. There were not many people at that time. The top of the peak was as cold as winter, and the wind was super strong.

There were many people sleeping on the road who came earlier than us. If you are not careful, you will step on people when it gets dark. I slept vaguely until almost four o'clock and found that there were more people, so I moved to the big rock mountain at the wind outlet to occupy a position. Not long after, I felt that the rocks were full of people, and I was awakened by being stepped on. Fortunately, I was smart. After waking up, I found that the position I occupied was quite good. From nearly five o'clock, the color of the sky opposite began to change, becoming brighter and more beautiful. At that moment, the tired mood was completely gone. Together with the crowded crowd, we waited for the sunrise. The sunrise came out ten minutes later than expected. It was probably because the clouds on the other side of the mountain were too thick. But we were still very excited to see it. It was really beautiful.

It took 6 hours to climb from Yuquanyuan to Dongfeng to watch the sunrise. It was very cold before sunrise, but it was worth it to see the sunrise.

By Uncle FOX |

I am going to climb Huashan on July 20th. I plan to stay at the East Peak for one night and watch the sunrise on the 21st. I don't want to climb all night. Friends with the same itinerary can form a group. Because I booked a four-person standard room at the East Peak Jintian Villa, and there are only two of me, I hope to find one or two friends who are willing to share the room and share the room fee. My WeChat is michaelzhao198. Note that it is July 20, 2018!

By DWL |

The scenery at East Peak is still very good. I went there at noon, and it should be very beautiful to watch the sunrise in the morning.

By lemon |

East Peak is the best place to watch the sunrise. The kite turned over on the top of East Peak (the mountain is very cool, not hot at all).

By Lucky Cat |

After entering Dongfeng Hotel, there is a bench behind the hotel. I rested on the bench tonight. If you want to stay, there are rooms here, mixed bunk beds, 150 yuan per bed, the same as Xifeng Hotel.

By Zhongji |

At the top of East Peak, an old pine stands alone, and the mountain peak reaches into the clouds. The heaven and the mortal world are inseparable and similar.

It took more than two hours to linger in the blue sky and white clouds, the sea of clouds on Cangshan Mountain, and to visit and take photos at the East Peak.

By Peach flavor 🍑 |

It is quite steep, so you must choose non-slip shoes. In fact, I just remember that we kept climbing uphill in the first part of the road. After climbing, we met an uncle who was sweeping the snow. He reminded us to climb from the other side. When we climbed to Baichi Gorge, I was afraid of heights, so I only dared to climb up step by step. I didn't dare to look down, so I climbed slower than my friends. Please forgive me for climbing Huashan with a fear of heights.

While climbing, I always felt like I had climbed all the stairs this year. I couldn’t see the end, and I didn’t dare look down. I could only keep climbing up, slowly climbing up step by step.

By Yun Hu is not happy |

I thought I had arrived quite early, but those friends who were hiking at night had already occupied the best terrain. It was foggy, so I didn't see the sunrise as I had hoped, but I saw the opposite mountain peaks appearing and disappearing behind the clouds, which made me always hold out hope for the sunrise. I waited for another 15 minutes after sunrise, but the fog still didn't clear up, so I had to give up, but I still took some very artistic photos.

By Keeper_Xiaomi |

I personally think that the peak is not as cold as imagined. A jacket, a pair of long johns and thin pants are enough. And it feels like the daybreak comes very quickly.

We were still looking forward to watching the sunrise, but when it was almost six o'clock, we still didn't see any sign of sunrise. All we saw was the misty and hazy scene.

By Zhangyy |

It was nice to go to the pigeon turning and chess pavilion.

There has been only one road to Mount Huashan since ancient times. The danger of Mount Huashan is well-deserved. I hiked up and down the mountain and stayed on the mountain for one night. I saw all five peaks in the east, west, south, north and center. It was shocking and exciting.

By Kéνǐη |

The scenery is very nice. It was early autumn when we went there and the weather was not very good. If it was a sunny day, it would probably be more beautiful.

By Shinogami |

I went to East Peak just to watch the sunrise, so I slept at East Peak. Although the sunrise was not very good in the end, it all depended on my luck.

By Autumn Mouse |

The East Peak has beautiful scenery and a wide field of vision. There is an endless stream of challengers who want to do the Hawk Flip. The Eagle's Beak Cliff is even more attractive. It is also very good to watch the sunrise. You don't need to walk a lot. You can just go to the top of the East Peak. You can also watch it in the hotel yard. If there are many people, you can also choose to watch the sunrise on the ladder from the East Peak to the South Peak. At the same time, you can take pictures of the sunrise on the top of the chess pavilion. It is very creative.

By Santa-Cruz-V10 |

East Peak is one of the main peaks of Huashan Mountain, with an altitude of 2,090 meters. Because the previous hiking consumed too much physical strength, it took an hour and a half to reach East Peak from North Peak. The most famous spot on East Peak is Chaoyangtai, the best place to watch the sunrise on Huashan Mountain. To the north of Chaoyangtai is Yanggong Tower, which was built by General Yang Hucheng. There is a solitary peak near Qingxu Cave, with an iron tile pavilion and an iron chess board on the top of the peak. It is said that Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin once played chess with Chen Tuan here. After losing the game, he lost Huashan to Chen Tuan, and the pavilion was named "Chess Pavilion". If you want to go to the Chess Pavilion, you must pass through the dangerous cliff of Yaozi Fanshen. Tourists with acrophobia or timidity can decide whether to go according to their own situation.

We planned to go to Huashan on October 6, 2017. We checked the weather at the end of September and were shocked. It was drizzling. I was immediately disappointed! We came to Xi'an from Guangdong and took the high-speed rail from Xi'an to Huashan North. Everyone must take the cable car up the West Peak and down the North Peak. Without superhuman physical strength, it is not recommended to climb Huashan. The mountain wall is steep and the steps are slippery. It is not for ordinary people. Also, don't listen to the staff of the scenic area. They said: It takes four hours to queue up for the cable car to go down the mountain. We believed it that day. We climbed down the mountain from the North Peak and were exhausted. The lighting street lights were not on. It was very dangerous. Everyone can take the cable car up and down, up the West Peak and down the North Peak. It's perfect.

It was a rainy day and the mountain was full of fog, which greatly reduced the scenery. I was no longer interested in going to the East Peak. The ladder was very steep and the kite turnaround was closed, so I did not climb to the top of the East Peak and walked to the West Peak cableway.

By Diaoer |

The road to Dongfeng Hotel (top of Dongfeng) is very steep, but the view from the hotel is very spectacular. But be sure to hold the handrails on the side, otherwise you will be tempted to roll down... Be careful when taking pictures and don't move around. Next to Dongfeng Hotel is Yaozi Fanshen, where you can watch the sunrise. After walking for about 30-50 minutes, you can reach the Changkong Plank Road. Dongfeng is still worth a visit.

I took my parents with me. We arrived at Huashan at 4pm the day before and arrived at Dongfeng Hotel at 6pm. Don't go any later. The cableway will be closed if you go too late. The wind is very strong at night. It's not easy to climb the steep mountain with luggage... There are very few people at 6 or 7pm for dinner. Many night climbers only start to camp near Dongfeng Hotel after 9pm. It's not easy to camp. The wind is so strong that it's about level 10. It will blow the tent over. Be sure to go to a sheltered place. Keep warm. I went there in mid-April. I wore long johns, wool vests, outer coats, and military coats at night, but I was still freezing...

I feel that it is necessary to stay at Huashan Mountain. It takes 6-8 hours to climb up alone. You are already very tired physically, but the scenery of Huashan Mountain, especially the East Peak and West Peak, is great and must not be missed. If you stay, you can see the sunrise or the sea of clouds, and start climbing in the morning. It is very comfortable.

A general introduction to the routes to the East, West, South and North peaks of Mount Huashan, as well as the East Peak Hotel

More than one thousand yuan a night is quite expensive, but our location is at the top of Mount Hua’s East Peak, and compared to the five peaks of East, West, South, North and Central, we chose the East Peak as the accommodation, and went up from the west and down from the north (that is, take the West Peak cable car and go down by North Peak cable car the next day). It was really the right choice by accident.

There are four ways to take the cable car: up from the west and down from the north, up from the north and down from the west, round trip to the west peak, and round trip to the north peak.

The disadvantages of choosing Dongfeng Hotel are: the hotel is located at Dongfeng, and it takes about 3 hours to walk from North Peak to East Peak (I am talking about bringing my parents and the luggage for accommodation). It is definitely hard to climb from North Peak to East Peak with luggage. In addition, according to the itinerary, the cable car will be opened at 17:00, and it will be dark after 18:30. The wind on the mountain is very strong, and there are few people, which is not conducive to climbing East Peak.

There is a shortcut between West Peak and East Peak, which can be reached in about an hour on foot, so it is a great decision to stay at East Peak.

Go up from the west and go down from the north, but choose the West Peak Hotel: Actually, I am not sure whether the West Peak terminal of the West Peak Cableway is closer to the West Peak or the East Peak. I just think that the summit of the West Peak is still a long way to go, mainly because the road is relatively flat and it takes a long time to walk. The East Peak is relatively steep, so it will feel shorter if you walk.

Round trip to the North Peak is often the choice of tourists on a one-day tour of Huashan. The North Peak is the lowest of the five peaks, with average scenery and a lot of people.

There are very few people going back and forth to Xifeng

Huashan is the best place to watch the sunrise, and the scenery is also very good during the day.

There is a sunrise viewing platform at Dongfeng, which is a good place to watch the sunrise.

The best place to watch the sunrise is at the top. If you go there in winter, be careful of the snow and the ground is very slippery. Remember to wear non-slip shoes.

It is named after its location in the east. There is a platform on the top of the peak, which is high and dangerous with a wide view. It is a famous place to watch the sunrise, known as Chaoyang Terrace. Therefore, the East Peak is also called Chaoyang Peak.
