I found that there were many more Huashan pines on the top of this mountain compared to the West Peak and the South Peak that I had climbed before. They were very tall.

It still took me 3 hours to cross from the West Peak to here for the sunrise. I waited for the sunrise in the cold wind. Fortunately, there were no clouds or fog blocking the view.

I personally think that climbing the mountain is very strenuous, and it should be very tiring to carry a tent, and you have to rent a coat and suffer from the cold. I personally feel that it is more cost-effective to stay in a hotel. Friends can consider it according to their own situation.

The next morning at 5 o'clock, the outside started to bustle. I pushed the door open and saw that the eastern sky and the junction of the Wei River were dyed orange. The mountains were stacked up one after another. The moment the sun rose, the steep cliffs on the towering cloud peaks suddenly glowed.

We climbed for 6 hours, stopping and starting. We climbed at night. I don't know if we dare to go down during the day. And it was very cold.

I slept vaguely until almost four o'clock and found that there were more people, so I moved to the big rock mountain at the wind outlet to occupy a position. Not long after, I felt that the rocks were full of people, and I was awakened by being stepped on. Fortunately, I was smart. After waking up, I found that the position I occupied was quite good. From nearly five o'clock, the color of the sky opposite began to change, becoming brighter and more beautiful. At that moment, the tired mood was completely gone. Together with the crowded crowd, we waited for the sunrise. The sunrise came out ten minutes later than expected. It was probably because the clouds on the other side of the mountain were too thick. But we were still very excited to see it. It was really beautiful.

It took 6 hours to climb from Yuquanyuan to Dongfeng to watch the sunrise. It was very cold before sunrise, but it was worth it to see the sunrise.

I am going to climb Huashan on July 20th. I plan to stay at the East Peak for one night and watch the sunrise on the 21st. I don't want to climb all night. We planned to go to Huashan on October 6, 2017. We checked the weather at the end of September and were shocked. It was drizzling. I was immediately disappointed! We came to Xi'an from Guangdong and took the high-speed rail from Xi'an to Huashan North. Everyone must take the cable car up the West Peak and down the North Peak. Without superhuman physical strength, it is not recommended to climb Huashan. The mountain wall is steep and the steps are slippery. It is not for ordinary people. Also, don't listen to the staff of the scenic area. They said: It takes four hours to queue up for the cable car to go down the mountain. We believed it that day. We climbed down the mountain from the North Peak and were exhausted. The lighting street lights were not on. It was very dangerous. I feel that it is necessary to stay at Huashan Mountain. It takes 6-8 hours to climb up alone. You are already very tired physically, but the scenery of Huashan Mountain, especially the East Peak and West Peak, is great and must not be missed. If you stay, you can see the sunrise or the sea of clouds, and start climbing in the morning. It is very comfortable.

More than one thousand yuan a night is quite expensive, but our location is at the top of Mount Hua’s East Peak, and compared to the five peaks of East, West, South, North and Central, we chose the East Peak as the accommodation, and went up from the west and down from the north (that is, take the West Peak cable car and go down by North Peak cable car the next day). It was really the right choice by accident.



There are four ways to take the cable car: up from the west and down from the north, up from the north and down from the west, round trip to the west peak, and round trip to the north peak.

The disadvantages of choosing Dongfeng Hotel are: the hotel is located at Dongfeng, and it takes about 3 hours to walk from North Peak to East Peak (I am talking about bringing my parents and the luggage for accommodation). It is definitely hard to climb from North Peak to East Peak with luggage. In addition, according to the itinerary, the cable car will be opened at 17:00, and it will be dark after 18:30. The wind on the mountain is very strong, and there are few people, which is not conducive to climbing East Peak.

There is a shortcut between West Peak and East Peak, which can be reached in about an hour on foot, so it is a great decision to stay at East Peak.



Go up from the west and go down from the north, but choose the West Peak Hotel: Actually, I am not sure whether the West Peak terminal of the West Peak Cableway is closer to the West Peak or the East Peak. I just think that the summit of the West Peak is still a long way to go, mainly because the road is relatively flat and it takes a long time to walk. The East Peak is relatively steep, so it will feel shorter if you walk.

Round trip to the North Peak is often the choice of tourists on a one-day tour of Huashan. The North Peak is the lowest of the five peaks, with average scenery and a lot of people.
