Because we took the cableway from the West Peak to Huashan, this peak was the first peak we visited. The West Peak is very beautiful, with many scenic spots. I found that there seemed to be another platform not far away. So, I went to have a look with the mentality of giving it a try. Sure enough, that was the viewing platform of the West Peak. There was almost no obstruction here. I could see very far away at a glance. It is said that the West Peak is the most beautiful peak on Mount Huashan. It is indeed so beautiful. The fatigue from the previous mountain climbing also disappeared at this moment, leaving only the quiet appreciation of this beautiful scenery.

The scenery of the West Peak is very beautiful after dawn. The ticket price for the West Peak cable car down the mountain is 140. The cable car is open at 7 o'clock. Tickets can be purchased by scanning the QR code on the WeChat public account, which is very convenient. Taking the cable car is also a challenge. Although it is expensive, it is still beautiful. It also feels exciting. After the cable car goes down the mountain, you will arrive at the tourist center at the foot of the West Peak and take a bus for 40 yuan per person to the Huashan General Visitor Center.

The Xifeng cableway goes down the mountain here, but the cableway is out of service. The scenery here is still good.

Why did we choose to take the cable car down the mountain from Xifeng? Because it is easier to go up the mountain than to go down. We chose Xifeng because the Xifeng cable car has many world records and is also the highest and longest cable car in Asia. The line is 4 kilometers long and takes 45 minutes. It is quite scary to sit there with such a swaying motion.

Checking in at the top of West Peak, due to the rain and the serious decline in physical strength, it took 9 hours and 47 minutes from Yuquanyuan to West Peak. If you climb faster from Yuquanyuan, you can reach West Peak in about 5 to 6 hours without any delay on the road. It also takes 5 to 6 hours to reach East Peak from Yuquanyuan.

Actually, the previous introduction also said that Xifeng has the most beautiful scenery. I think they are all about the same.

There is a Lotus Peak on it, which is said to be the place where Chenxiang split the mountain to save his mother.

Sitting on the top of the West Peak, quietly sipping a cup of tea, the sound of the fairy music comes from the mountains, and the clouds and mists in the mountains make people feel that "a day in the mountains is a thousand years in the world". If you accidentally enter the Yaochi, can you see the Taishang Laozi who is refining elixirs? It's beautiful...

It should be when we were at the top of the West Peak that we locked the door. The key is still in my wallet now. I guess it will be gone if I have the chance to go there next time. After all, so many people have locked the door there.

The West Peak is really high and the wind is really strong. There were countless people waiting to take pictures on the rock at the West Peak, so we could only sit in front to grab the spotlight.

It was a great pleasure to take the Huashan West Peak Cableway. We climbed over one mountain after another and had a panoramic view of the scenery! It was quite tiring to get off the cableway and climb up the mountain.

On November 12, 2017, I went to Huashan Mountain with a tour group from Xi'an. I chose the route from west to north. The cable car was more exciting than taking a plane, and it soared into the sky. When we were almost at the top of the mountain, there was fog all around and we were worried whether it would affect our view of the beautiful scenery. But when we got to the top of the mountain, we saw a sea of clouds and the peaks appeared and disappeared from time to time, like a fairyland.

We originally planned to go up on the way back, but we ended up going directly from the East Peak to the West Peak, not taking the same route, so we gave up. There is an "axe-splitting stone" on the West Peak. The story of Chenxiang splitting the mountain to save his mother in "The Lotus Lantern" took place on the West Peak of Mount Hua. Legend has it that the daughter of the Jade Emperor, San Shengmu, secretly married the scholar Liu Yanchang because she admired his appearance and talent. Erlang Shen Yang Jian pressed San Shengmu under the huge rock on the West Peak for violating the rules of returning to heaven. San Shengmu gave birth to a son under the stone and named him Chenxiang. When he grew up, he was instructed by the immortal master to split the huge rock with the magic axe, and the mother and son were reunited. Friends should still go and see it~

But no matter what, the West Peak is still one of my favorite main peaks of Huashan!

West Peak is the last of the five peaks. We arrived here at 9am the next day and were exhausted. I thought the mountain road up the ridge was very cool. I also saw porters on the way. It felt that it was not easy to make money. As for going down the mountain, since we were exhausted, we took the cable car down the West Peak. The cable car was really worth the money and the surrounding scenery was really amazing. However, a friendly reminder, after taking the cable car to the end of the West Peak, you still need to buy a 40 yuan shuttle bus ticket to return to the visitor center.
