There is a natural cave with a huge rock lying inside, like a tiger hiding deep inside. The sound of the spring resembles a tiger's roar, so it is called Black Tiger Spring.
Black Tiger Spring is majestic and its water output is second only to Baotu Spring, ranking second among all the springs in Jinan.
Many citizens draw water here, the water is clear, bees may also want to try the spring water here.

The Black Tiger Spring is famous because of the two cute tiger statues next to it, which are very suitable for taking pictures. The two tigers run very fast. In addition to playing, this is also a place for old citizens of Jinan to fetch water. Anyway, Yutong was shocked by the way the old citizens fetched water here. It was very interesting. Yutong took pictures on purpose. In fact, if I hadn't come here for the name of the Black Tiger Spring, I wouldn't have discovered the charm of old Jinan. There are many springs in the Ring City Park beside the moat. I like this place very much and have a deep fascination with it. I think this is the most authentic Jinan.
Among the four famous springs, my favorite is the Black Tiger Spring. The Black Tiger Spring is located in the moat-ringed park. It is open, unlike the Pearl Spring which is enclosed by high walls. It is also the most lively one. Here, you can get a glimpse of the daily life of the old Jinan people who have been drinking spring water for thousands of years.
Travel tips: Remember to bring clean water containers, the spring water here can be collected, and the quality is very good! (Spring water in scenic spots such as Baotu Spring is not allowed to be collected).
The most famous and best-looking spring in the entire Ring City Park is the Black Tiger Spring, where many people queue up to get water every day.
The Black Tiger Spring has a large amount of water, and the sound when it gushes out is like a tiger's roar. People in Jinan drink water from the Tiger's Mouth. The spring water here has no impurities and the water collection speed is also very fast.
Jinan people have their own way of getting water, which consists of a pot and a long rope.
Putting down a kettle to fill water is also a technical job. Two people with similar-sized containers put down the kettle at the same time, and then wait until it is full and lift it up. A real veteran can do it as fast as lightning. There is an old man who I really like! His ability to get water is unique. One put, one collect, one receive, and one fill. The whole set of movements is neat and clean, flowing like water. The height of raising hands is almost the same, the eyes are calm, and the strength of lifting the kettle quickly. In my eyes, he is a master of art! It’s just that the movement is too fast. I took N shots before I succeeded. Fortunately, the old man had many buckets to fill, leaving me enough time. Most people who come to get water will bring various bottles and jars (large-capacity buckets). After everyone takes turns to fill them up, they will leave with satisfaction. Without professional water-taking props, the water of Heihu Spring cannot be taken. If you bring a container for water, you can ask the old man to help you fill a bottle. After all, our bottle is less than the old man’s bucket...
The natural spring water here is undoubtedly worth a try. There are many places to get water in the Black Tiger Spring. If you have an empty mineral water bottle, you can ask the citizens who are getting water to pour some for you. That's what I did! Haha. . The old man saw me standing next to him with an empty bottle and took the initiative to pour me some. The spring water is like iced, and it is also a little sweet. It is really delicious! The spring water is really very clear.
The Black Tiger Spring scenic spot is actually a group of springs, consisting of a series of springs. Anyone who comes to Jinan must come here for a walk. Many locals, whether young men or old men, come here to collect water. They sink a large bucket into the spring water, then help each other pull it up, take it home, and then taste the gift of nature in person. The water of the Black Tiger Spring is crystal clear, and with the leisure pavilion next to it, it makes people linger.
Black Tiger Spring is located on the south bank of the moat south of Jiefang Pavilion in Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. The scenic area is open to tourists free of charge. There are indeed "two black tigers" in Black Tiger Spring, and children rushed to take photos with them. The spring water is extremely clear and can be drunk on the spot. It is very refreshing after drinking it. My mother also felt good after drinking it. Many citizens lined up to get spring water. There is spring water tea next to it, 2 yuan a bowl. Along the way, there are many springs for tourists to enjoy.
Many local citizens come here to fetch spring water to take home. It seems that the old Jinan people rely on the spring water in their hometown. It can be seen that the "Spring City" not only has spring water, but also eats spring water, uses spring water, and relies on spring water. The moat ring city park represented by the Black Tiger Spring is built along the river. It is not beautiful, but the small bridges and flowing water are very stylish. Such a unique place is not suitable for babies. The stone road and the ups and downs of the steps stopped the stroller from moving forward. I wanted to walk along the river for a while, but I had no choice but to give up halfway.
The Black Tiger Spring is named because the spring water gushes out and hits the boulders, making a rough sound that resembles a tiger's roar. There are three stone tiger heads on the south wall of the spring pool. The spring water flows through the underground ditch and gushes out through the three stone tiger mouths.
It is a small park, free of charge. The water is clear, with green trees on both sides of the water and cruise ships passing by.
There is a spring next to it, and many passers-by come to collect water for tasting. If you want to collect spring water, please prepare an empty bottle.
The Black Tiger Spring is located next to the Jiefang Pavilion, just behind it. There are stairs on both sides that lead directly down to the shore of the spring. There is a statue of a black tiger in the scenic area, with the words "Fuquan" written on the side. The spring water gushes out and hits the boulders, making a rough sound that resembles a tiger's roar, hence the name. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, a Black Tiger Temple was built above the Black Tiger Spring cave, and "Zhao Gongming" was enshrined in the temple.
Black Tiger Spring is the second-ranked spring in Jinan, second only to Baotu Spring in terms of water flow. It is connected to the moat and opposite to Jiefang Pavilion. The source of the spring is located in a cave under the cliff. It is said that there is a huge rock shaped like a tiger in the cave. The spring water gushes out rapidly, like a tiger roaring, so it is named "Black Tiger Spring". The spring water gushes out through three stone-carved tiger heads, continuously, fiercely, and eloquently. There are also Pipa, Agate, White Stone, Golden Tiger and other springs nearby. These famous springs with their own characteristics form the Black Tiger Spring Group, which complement each other and create a sense of fun.

Under the steep cliff on the south bank of the moat south of Jiefang Pavilion, the Black Tiger Spring is a natural cave, 2 meters high, 3 meters deep and 1.7 meters wide. The spring water mainly comes from the southeast direction of the cave. The cave is built with bluestone and is hidden under the rock wall. The spring pool is built with stones and is slightly rectangular. There are three stone tiger heads on the south wall of the spring pool. The spring water flows through the culvert and sprays out through three stone tiger mouths. There is no ticket for this attraction, which is an open area. We stayed in Shunhe Hotel Lixia District, and it took less than 5 minutes to walk here. You can pass by here when you go to Kuanhouli for dinner in the evening. I saw many people fetching water here, bucket by bucket, saying that they can make tea when they go back.
The Black Tiger Spring is the most friendly of all the famous springs. It is right next to the moat and does not require a ticket. In the early years, you were allowed to take pictures of the three tiger heads, but now you are not allowed to go in. There is a water intake next to the spring where you can get water, and you can also take a boat in the moat.
Black Tiger Spring is located on the south bank of the moat south of Jiefang Pavilion in Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is one of the three major spring groups. Black Tiger Spring is one of the "72 famous springs" in Jinan recorded in the "Famous Springs Monument" of the Jin Dynasty, the "72 Springs Poems" of Yan Bi in the Ming Dynasty and the "72 Springs Records" of Hao Zhigong in the Qing Dynasty. It ranks first among the "Black Tiger Spring Group". The source of the spring is in a deep natural cave 3 meters deep, 2 meters high and 1.7 meters wide under the cliff. The water is clear and the cold air is overwhelming. The entrance of the cave is built with bluestone, and there are huge stones lying in a coiled state with moss growing on them, like a tiger hiding deep. The maximum flow of Black Tiger Spring is about 41,000 cubic meters/day, second only to Baotu Spring, and ranks second among the springs in Jinan. We drank the spring water here for several days in Jinan.
The most accessible spring, no entrance fee, a place for citizens to get water, with many springs
There is no ticket required, and you can fly the drone freely, especially the Jiefang Pavilion opposite, which is very photogenic.
One of the famous attractions in Jinan, it is visited by many people every day. The water is cool and clear, and many people draw water here.
I took a walk around here after shopping, and the thing that impressed me most was probably that many citizens were fetching water here.
Here you can experience the purest Jinan life, which is very interesting and one of the four famous springs.
The name of Black Tiger Spring was first seen on the famous spring stele of the Jin Dynasty. One theory is that the name originated from the "Black Tiger Temple" on the bank; others say that it was named because "the sound of water hitting the pillars and rocks is like a tiger's roar". Therefore, the spring is a natural cave with a huge rock lying in a coiled shape, covered with moss, which looks black and gray, like a tiger hiding deep. The spring water gushes out from under the huge rock, rushing and crashing, and the north wind blowing into the cracks of the rock in the middle of the night, it sounds like a tiger's roar, so it is called Black Tiger Spring.
There is a park near Kuanhouli. The environment is very good. Many people use mineral water buckets to collect spring water. It is quite interesting. There is a place to scan the code to drink spring water. My friend scanned it and I took a sip. It tasted a bit like mineral water, but I didn't dare to drink more.
The night view is beautiful, not many people, just some people are collecting spring water privately
This may be the spring with the largest water output in Jinan, no doubt about it.
Not far from Baotu Spring, near Jiefang Pavilion, is another famous Black Tiger Spring. The spring water gushes out from three stone tiger heads. Many locals draw spring water from here in pots, forming a scenic spot.
Black Tiger Spring is located on the south bank of the moat south of Jiefang Pavilion in Jinan.
Black Tiger Spring is the most imposing spring in Jinan. It is a natural cave.
With the addition of lights, it is much brighter than before. It is one of my favorite places.
It feels comparable to Baotu Spring, with a large amount of spring water gushing out from three stone tiger heads. The water is fast and clear, and the gurgling sound allows you to fully experience the agility of the water in the Spring City.
In the crystal clear spring, colorful schools of fish become another sight.
Looking out from the Baishi Bridge, the river is full of crystal clear spring water, tinged with dark green, reflecting the scenery on both sides of the river like a mirror.
Under the shade of green trees, the Black Tiger Spring and the Jiefang Pavilion are staggered in height, setting off each other in an interesting way.
This place is really, so shocking. Because the water here is really super clear. It is clearer than the springs I have seen before. There are many people around to get water. You can't tell from the photos how clear it is. It is so clear that you can see the bottom.
One of the famous springs in Jinan, it is also very popular, and there are fewer tourists than Baotu Spring. Many old Jinan people here bring big bottles here to fill water. The spring water here can be drunk directly. I also drank a little, but there is nothing special about it, just for the novelty.
Black Tiger is one of the four famous springs in Jinan. The spring water gushes out from three tiger mouths, and the bottom is clear. I went there on October 5th, and there were many tourists. There is also Jiefang Pavilion nearby.
This is the place where old Jinan people fetch water. It is very characteristic of the Spring City. And if you bring a water cup, you can also drink Jinan’s spring water!
The free attraction is right below Jiefang Pavilion and the water is very clear
The name of Black Tiger Spring was first seen on the famous spring stele of the Jin Dynasty. One theory is that the name originated from the "Black Tiger Temple" on the bank; others say that it was named because "the sound of water hitting the pillars and rocks is like a tiger's roar". The Black Tiger Spring is a spring with three streams of water gushing out from three tiger heads. The spring water is very clean and open to the public for free. The water converges into a moat. There are green trees and rockery on both sides of the river. There is a free spring water drinking point, and the children have a lot of fun playing there.
The Black Tiger Spring is also a free tourist attraction. Some local citizens bring their own kettles to fetch spring water to boil at home. It should not be drunk directly raw, but there is drinking water nearby and you can bring a cup to collect water to drink.
You will see many old men fetching water from various springs. If you bring a cup, you can also fetch some water to taste. It is still very clear.
Many people were drawing water here, and the water looked very clear indeed. It was said that the water volume was second only to Baotu Spring. The water volume was also abundant at that time of the year. However, I didn’t feel it was that shocking.
Many people were fetching water here, carrying large and small buckets to collect water.
Just down the Jiefang Pavilion, you will reach the Black Tiger Spring! Here I really experienced the meaning of the word "Spring City" in Jinan! The spring water is crystal clear, sweet and refreshing! The children took a few cups and they were very clean! Along the way, you will see many Jinan people bring their own water bottles and buckets to fetch spring water to use at home!
The name of Black Tiger Spring was first seen on the famous spring stele of the Jin Dynasty. The spring water gushes out from under the huge rocks and hits the rocks. In the middle of the night, the north wind blows into the cracks of the rocks, and the amazing roar echoes in the cave, which is very similar to the roar of a tiger, so it is named Black Tiger Spring. The poem "Black Tiger Spring" in "Seventy-two Springs of Jinan" written by Yan Bi in the Ming Dynasty: "The color of the stone palace is dark, and the depths are like a black tiger hiding. In the middle of the night, the north wind blows the rocks to crack, and a clear roar is heard, and the moon is dark." It vividly depicts the thrilling momentum of the Black Tiger Spring, so in 2010, four large black characters "Black Tiger Roaring at the Moon" were engraved on the stone wall above the Black Tiger Spring cave.
This beast is called Baxia. It is said to be the sixth son of the Dragon King. It likes water and often lives by the water. There was only one beast head at the mouth of the pond in the late Qing Dynasty. Three were built when the spring pond was regulated in 1931. The water in the inner spring is as clear as a mirror. There is a sluice gate in the north of the pond with an elevation of 6.93 meters. The water flows in a curtain-like shape and flows into the moat. The clear spring water gushes out from the first and second beast heads, stirring up layers of snow-white water splashes, which amazes the viewers. The third beast head only has gurgling spring water flowing out. It is said that this beast head has been dry for a long time. A few days before we came on May 18, Jinan had several heavy rains, and the third beast head just flowed out "dragon saliva".
During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, a Black Tiger Temple was built above the Black Tiger Spring Cave. Inside and outside the courtyard, there were luxuriant flowers and trees, and the scenery was beautiful. Today, a small courtyard has been newly built on the site of the Black Tiger Temple. In the courtyard, there is a moon gate and a tea pavilion in the east, a small pavilion with curved corridors in the west, overlapping rockery, winding caves and gullies, quiet and winding, elegant and pleasant. Visitors can climb up to enjoy the springs and the scenery, and rest there, which is refreshing.
There are many springs in the Black Tiger Springs, and there is a spring every ten steps. Many springs are drinkable. The tastes of the springs we tasted were different, but they were all refreshing and delicious. Drinking them in the hot summer was really refreshing. The most spectacular one is the Black Tiger Spring, where the snow-white and turbulent spring water gushed out from three stone tiger heads, making a breathtaking sound.
The Black Tiger Spring is still very good. It has rained a lot recently and the spring water is very powerful.
Black Tiger Spring. In the morning, many Jinan citizens came to fetch spring water. The tools were complete. The aunt who fetched water also gave us a bucket. We tasted the spring water.
First of all, Black Tiger Spring is a free attraction. Secondly, the water quality of Black Tiger Spring is clear. Many middle-aged and elderly people bring their own drinking water buckets to collect water. Next to Black Tiger Spring is the moat, Baishi Spring, Agate Spring... In short, there are many springs. Then you can see Jiefang Pavilion when you walk up. Opposite Jiefang Pavilion is Kuanhouli. It's also nice to stop and walk around the scenic spots.
As long as there is a spring, you can get water directly. Many local citizens bring large buckets to get water. There are many tea shops along the coast, all of which use spring water to make tea. Next to the Black Tiger Spring is Kuanhouli.
[Black Tiger Spring] is probably the spring with the most life atmosphere. It is the place where Jinan residents get the most water. On the road, I saw an old man pushing a cart with freshly drawn water away. His leisurely and relaxed demeanor is exactly the same as the old man pushing a cart to buy vegetables in the capital.
I heard from the taxi driver that the locals fetch spring water to make tea. It is really enviable that they can drink spring water to make tea every day.
Going down the small staircase next to Jiefang Pavilion is the Black Tiger Spring Group, Nine Women Spring, White Stone Spring, Agate Spring, etc.
Among them, Black Tiger Spring is the most famous.
Stopping and walking along the way, what really helps to cool down is the cool spring water. Many tourists take a rest here, and you will feel a numb feeling of coolness. It seems that it is not advisable to soak in the water for too long.
There is no entrance fee for Heihu Spring, but it is still worth a visit. There are many trees and water in Heihu Spring. It is a must-go place for summer tourism. After all, it is cool.
The scenery of the Black Tiger Spring is indeed nice. There are many places in the scenic area where you can scan the code to get spring water. If you are thirsty, you can also get some spring water to drink. The spring water is very cool, and you don’t have to worry about getting an upset stomach (at least I didn’t feel uncomfortable after drinking it). You can leisurely stroll around the Black Tiger Spring for two hours. After all, no tickets are required. Therefore, for me who pursues cost-effectiveness, it is a five-star recommendation.
I went on a business trip and came across the Black Tiger Spring. I went in to take a look. I was surprised when I entered.
Along the moat, there are dozens of springs of various sizes scattered between Black Tiger Spring and Spring City Square, some of which are much more beautiful than the so-called famous scenery in Baotu Spring Scenic Area. This shows the added value of humanities to natural landscapes. Although the water volume of Black Tiger Spring is slightly smaller than that of Baotu Spring, the three tiger mouths collect the water flow and then drop it from a high place, which makes it more majestic.
Yes, the spring water is clear, transparent and refreshing, and no tickets are required!
Among the 72 famous springs, I regard Black Tiger Spring as the most supreme.
From Quancheng Square, go east along the moat. There are famous springs along the way. Each spring has its own story. Until you reach the end, the finale is the Black Tiger Spring.
The Black Tiger Spring and the Martyrs Memorial Hall are connected by a bridge, echoing each other from afar. They are also supported by many famous springs lined up on both sides of the moat, like a guard of honor. The momentum is already accumulated. When you face it directly, this incomparably clear mountain spring water and this refreshing night view of the Spring City seem to cleanse your soul.
When night falls, people come to fetch water the most. Regardless of age or gender, everyone will bring back some water in large and small buckets. It is still a bit cold in Jinan in March, so when I come again, I will definitely ask for a handful of water to drink.
The Black Tiger Spring Group is the largest of the four major spring groups in the city in terms of scale and flow. It runs along both sides of the South moat, starting from Jiefang Pavilion in the east and extending about 700 meters to the west. There are 14 springs in total, including Baishi Spring, Agate Spring, Nine-Women Spring, Black Tiger Spring, Pipa Spring, South Pearl Spring, Ren Spring, Bean Sprout Spring, Wulian Spring, Yihu Spring (Miao Family Spring), Jinhu Spring, Yinsi Spring, Huibo Spring, and Duibo Spring. Among them, Black Tiger Spring is one of the 72 famous springs in Jinan recorded in the "Famous Springs Monument" of the Jin Dynasty, "Poems of 72 Springs" by Yan Bi of the Ming Dynasty, and "Records of 72 Springs" by Hao Zhigong of the Qing Dynasty. It ranks first among the Black Tiger Spring Group, and its flow is second only to Baotu Spring, ranking second among the springs in Jinan. Water gushes out from the mouth of a stone-carved animal head with an elevation of 27.88 meters through a secret passage in the cave, resembling a waterfall, and then pours into a stone-built square pool about 13 meters long and 9 meters wide. This beast is called Baxia. It is said to be the sixth son of the Dragon King. It likes water and is good at carrying heavy loads. It often lives by the water. Later, it helped Dayu control the floods and carried a huge stele with its achievements engraved on it. It is also the beast that often carries stele in temples. There was only one beast head at the mouth of the pond in the late Qing Dynasty. Three were built when the spring pool was regulated in 1931.
The Black Tiger Spring is open to the public for free. You can get free spring water here. The spring water is really not good to drink. It has no taste. It is just water. Citizens often get it home to wash dishes. It should be because the calcium content of the water is high. This place is more fun than Baotu Spring.
The scenery is nice and the environment is great, it's worth a visit.
Among the many springs in Jinan, the Black Tiger Spring is second only to Baotu Spring. Some say that the Black Tiger Spring got its name because there was a Black Tiger Temple on the bank, while others say that the sound of the water hitting the pillars is like a tiger's roar.
I really like these character sculptures, which vividly describe the daily life of old Jinan people and springs.
The spring water gushes out from the three stone sculptures' tiger's mouths, and the sound of the water is loud and rough, resembling the roar of a tiger.
I didn't see Baotu soaring into the sky, but I was somewhat comforted by seeing Heihu Xiaoyue. It was really because there was not enough water. Only two of the three tiger heads were sprayed.
Many nearby residents come here with buckets to fetch water for daily use, which shows that the water quality of this spring is very good!
This is an old place for the locals of Jinan. A large part of the water spit out by the three tiger heads goes into buckets, nourishing generations of indigenous people.
When you go to Heihu Spring, you must go to a dessert shop called Durian Code in Kuanhouli across the road. You must try the original baked durian, cheese baked durian, durian pizza, durian egg tarts, and a durian drink would be even better. It is in the eastern half of Kuanhouli, close to Jiefang Pavilion and Heihu Spring.
From the zoo, you can take bus No. 5 directly to Heihu Spring.
There is no need to enter the Black Tiger Spring, you can visit it directly. Many locals come here to fetch water every day, and you can feel the atmosphere of local life the most. But don't mistake the Black Tiger Spring for the "Black Dick Spring".
Every step brings a new view. I envy the local people.
It's a cool place, a good place for locals and tourists to take a walk and cool off.
By the way, I saw a mountain spring flowing down where I could wash my hands, so I went to join in the fun. It was really refreshing, the spring water was especially cold haha~
Later, I tasted the spring water at the drinking sign next to the bus station. It was room temperature and tasteless. Haha. By the way, I saw many people bringing their own buckets to fill with water. Did they take it home for cooking? Curious...
Emmmm... Actually the water is not very clean, but many little boys were playing in it without even wearing underwear. I discovered this after I took some photos.
The bubbling springs of all sizes, the pavilions and towers built over the years, the constant stream of tourists and the citizens carrying pots, bottles and jars to draw water from the springs, can occasionally cause some noise.
The people of Jinan come to fetch spring water one after another at nightfall.
There are many grandpas and aunties fetching water from the Black Tiger Spring with buckets. It is said that drinking the water from the Black Tiger Spring will make you smarter. There are many drinking water points nearby where you can drink directly. I took a sip and it was cool and sweet.
Below Jiefang Pavilion is the Black Tiger Spring Scenic Area. Many Jinan citizens bring buckets to fetch spring water. Even in the dead of winter, the scenery is still breathtaking. Black Tiger Spring does not charge admission, but the scenery is not inferior at all.
After walking around Heihu Spring, Baotu Spring, Wulongtan, Wangfu Pond and other places, I feel that the most worthwhile place to visit is Heihu Spring, which is the lake around the city, especially in the early morning. There are weeping willows on both sides of this section, and flowing water and springs in the middle. The air is full of the strong fragrance of leaves. In the early morning, many locals come with buckets to fill water. Chatting with old Jinan people, you can really feel the different life atmosphere of Jinan from other provincial capitals. The city atmosphere is particularly good. It is the only city I have visited so far that I would like to settle here
Black Tiger Spring feels like there are more rocks than water. But it is another beautiful sight. Many citizens draw water here, and we also filled our bottles with mineral water. We wanted to make tea back at the hotel, but we didn't keep it and drank it on the way. The water tastes very good, not inferior to anything...water aristocrats...haha...and old farmers, etc. Looking back, I feel a little regretful. I regret not getting a big bucket to hold more water so that I can enjoy it back at the hotel~~I will definitely make up for it when I go to Jinan next time.
The spring water comes from a deep concave cave and gushes out through three stone-carved tiger heads. The water is turbulent and the sound of water is loud. My father and I rode all the way to the Black Tiger Spring and got a bottle of spring water to drink. It didn't taste like anything. Local residents get water from the Black Tiger Spring every day and it is said to be up to drinking standards.
Black Tiger Spring, go down from Jiefang Pavilion and cross a small bridge to see it. There are many springs of different sizes on the south bank. At Black Tiger Spring, you can see the most lively Jinan.
In this season, the groundwater level is not high, and the amount of water in the Black Tiger Spring is not large. Several elderly uncles were drawing water from the spring, and many tourists were watching. Each of them had several large plastic buckets, kettles, and homemade funnels beside them, and they were fully equipped. They threw the kettles, drew water, lifted water, and filled the buckets with familiar movements, all in one go. It was like a performance, and it was as natural as flowing water. They didn't care about the eyes of others at all, and they were probably used to it. After all, drawing water is just their daily life.
The favorite of the people of Quancheng - fetch water, fetch water, fetch water, drink it, the taste is really smooth~
Near Quancheng Square, next to Jiefang Pavilion, no tickets are required, you can see it when you pass by the road. The quality of the spring water is probably very good, and a large number of citizens come to get water every day.
Jinan's second spring is free to visit. It is recommended to visit along the river from the south, as the springs are all on the south bank.
Black Tiger Spring is located on the south bank of the moat south of Jiefang Pavilion in Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is one of the three major spring groups in the National AAAAA-level Tourist Attraction of the First Spring in the World. There are many citizens carrying buckets to get spring water by the spring, which is very interesting.
A free open scenic spot, many locals go there to get water
The beauty of Heihu Spring lies in its daily life. No matter how old they are, they can drag a few buckets of spring water home. Looking up, they can see the grand and solemn Jiefang Pavilion, and looking down, they can see the fish swimming comfortably in the spring water. The crystal clear spring water reflects people's hearts directly, and the bubbling spring makes people feel the beauty of nature's creation. Life is nothing more than this.
Later, people built a square pool in the north of the cave and carved three tiger heads with wide-open eyes and open mouths on the south wall of the pool.
The spring water gushes out from three wide-open tiger mouths through the secret passage at the bottom of the cave and pours into the pool. The water volume of Black Tiger Spring ranks second only to Baotu Spring among the famous springs in Jinan. Although the eerie atmosphere of Black Tiger Spring in the past is gone, the sight of water gushing from the tiger mouths still makes people appreciate its rugged beauty. Later, when the Ring City Park was built, a pavilion for viewing the spring was built here, and visitors can lean on the railing to enjoy the spring and the surrounding scenery.
This time, the spring water was not strong, and the westernmost tiger head was at a high level, so only the two tiger heads on the east side had spring water. The local Jinan people were very lucky, and many of them brought various tools to draw spring water. An enthusiastic sister gave us some of the spring water she had just drawn, which was cold.
