The best place to watch the sunrise is too crowded

By China-TravelNote users |

Hiking is too tiring. My legs hurt after a day! Those who want to hike should be prepared!

By Super Jing Jing Jing ✨ |

The place for those who get up early to watch the sunrise is here at Riguan Peak. It is the best place to watch the sunrise at Mount Tai. Standing here, no other mountain or building can surpass the height of Mount Tai, and the view is wide.

By Swirling Water |

Next to Yuhuangding, there is a meteorological observatory. This should be a good place to watch the sunrise, but unfortunately I have to wait until next time.

By Sligo's Old Dreams |

Because there were so many people on New Year's Day, we had to go two hours early to get a good spot to watch the sunrise. The wind was so cold that our hands and feet might freeze if we were not careful. Fortunately, the sunrise was beautiful.

By Nisan |

The location is small and it is dangerous when there are many people or when it snows or is icy. But it is a good place to watch the sunrise.

By A glimpse of evening light |

I went there at noon, so I couldn't feel the sunrise, but I met many people who watched the sunrise.

By CrazyMC |

I took my gear and started climbing from the South Gate of Mount Tai at 12 o'clock the night before. There were only people on the road. I saw people sleeping and resting on the roadside. I was sweating all over. It was really cold up there. But there were green army coats for rent up there, which was good. When you see a ray of light appear in the sky, you will automatically get excited. The sun slowly rises and the sunlight slowly becomes dazzling. I can only describe it as wow.

Sun Viewing Peak: As the name suggests, it is the place where you can see the sun rise! I came here the day before New Year's Day. There were so many people there that if you went too late, there would be no good spots left. The worst part is that the best spots were all occupied by locals. You have to pay them to take pictures of you before they let you go. It's such a rip-off.

Excellent

I'm going to watch the sunrise soon.

By White Ice |

When we got to the Riguan Peak, there were already quite a few people there. Fortunately, we found a great big rock to sit on. There was no shelter in front of us, and there were crowds of people behind us (the key point is that there were many people to block the wind). It was really cool even though we were sitting on the rock.

By Rex |

Except for a few minutes of perfect sunrise, the Riguan Peak was overcrowded with people. The people going up and down were stuck in a doorway. There were no safety facilities around. Most of the people were the hawkers taking photos.

By Unlearned |

Seriously, a lot, a lot

Be sure to arrive early

There are many places on the top of the mountain where you can watch the sunrise. You can choose a place with fewer people, which is more conducive to taking photos.

When I went to Mount Tai specifically to wait for the sunrise, the scenery at the top was a little ordinary.

If you want to watch the sunrise, remember to wear more clothes, as the wind on the mountain is cold.

It would be a pity to climb Mount Tai without watching the sunrise. The best place to watch the sunrise is at Riguan Peak.

By Ye Kai |

The view from the top of the mountain is excellent, but the temperature is low and the wind is strong. Keep warm.

Riguan Peak is the best place to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, the weather was not good on the day I climbed the mountain. I arrived at Riguan Peak at 4 a.m. and the fog was very heavy. I waited until almost 6 a.m. but still didn’t see the sunrise. It was all white. At around 7 a.m., the fog slowly dissipated and I could see a little bit of the sun. After 9 p.m., the fog completely dissipated and it was a perfect sunny day. My friend and I couldn’t stand the cold wind on the mountain so we walked down the mountain.

By Bliss |

I came to Mount Tai to watch the sunrise. I heard that the best place is at Riguan Peak, so I did a lot of research and finally decided to stay at the Weather Hotel on the upper side of Riguan Peak. Although the price-performance ratio is very poor, the room rate of more than 700 yuan is not as good as the standard room of a general guesthouse, but the advantages are also obvious, especially for lazy people, lol. Looking down at Riguan Peak, when others have to occupy a favorable position more than an hour in advance, you can see the sky from the window after the fish belly white, and then get up calmly, go to the roof to watch the sun slowly burst out from the horizon. It's a pity that I didn't see the legendary sea of clouds.

I stayed at the weather station at Riguan Peak. I can't complain about the weather station hotel. It was foggy and I couldn't see anything. I walked down the mountain in despair the next morning.

Not only can you enjoy the sunrise here, but you can also see the beautiful view of the mountains.

I waited from 3:30 to 5:30 and finally saw the sunrise.

It only takes a few minutes to watch the sun rise from the horizon, but it is worth climbing up all night for these few minutes.

I am content just to see the sunrise.

By China-TravelNote users |

Without further ado, I climbed to the top overnight and saw the sunrise. Mt. Tai, majestic, magnificent sunrise!

You can watch the sunrise from the Riguan Peak, but it was foggy the day we visited and we couldn’t see anything.

By Denise |

After watching the Fengshan Ceremony and having dinner, we started to climb Mount Tai at night. Although it was night, there were many friends who climbed at night. They climbed in groups of three or five. The advantage of night climbing is that you can't see so many steps that make people tremble with fear, and the psychological burden is less. We started climbing at 10 pm and arrived at Bixia Temple at 3:30 am. Because the wind was too strong at the top of Riguan Peak for watching the sunrise, we took a rest at Bixia Temple to avoid the wind, and rushed to Riguan Peak at nearly 5 o'clock to wait for the sunrise. You don't have to rent a military coat too early, otherwise it will be very cumbersome. You can rent it at Nantianmen, where the wind is also strong. Recalling that I wore a rented military coat and carried a small bamboo pole to find a shelter at the foot of the wall, the picture was so "beautiful" that I still feel sad when I think about it now. But I am very glad that my first night climb was completed on Mount Tai, and I am also grateful to see the sunrise as I wished.

Riguan Peak is located on the top of Mount Tai, very close to the highest peak, Yuhuang Peak. Riguan Peak is the best place to watch the sunrise, but the sunrise is usually very early, and there are many people watching the sunrise every day, so if you come to Mount Tai, it is recommended to visit for 2 days and stay at the top of the mountain for one day.

This place is the best place to watch sunrise and sunset, with a relatively wide platform

By Dai-Egg |

The location is very good, but there are crowds of people everywhere, so be sure to arrive early to choose the best location to wait for the sunrise.

The golden morning light gradually dyed the eastern sky red, and the tall main peak of Huangshan Mountain was dyed crimson by the brilliant clouds.

Tips:

1. Go early if you want to watch the sunrise, otherwise there won’t be any seats.

2. It's quite cold in the morning. If you really can't take it, you can rent a military coat. There are many for rent on the mountain. It seems to be 10 or 20 yuan, anyway, it's not expensive. (I went there in early November, wearing three layers of clothes, and I didn't feel cold, so I didn't rent one. In fact, I think the military coat makes the photos look ugly)

3. If you want to watch the sunrise, you must check the weather forecast in advance. (I planned to go in October, checked the weather forecast every day, and found that it rained every day in October, which delayed it to November, so it was necessary to prepare well)

The four words "Sunrise at Mount Tai" are very famous and it is the first choice for watching the sunrise. The moment of sunrise makes you feel that the hard work of climbing at night is worth it. However, there are many people and it is not easy to find a good position.

It is difficult to use words like appreciation and enjoyment when watching the sunrise in winter. It is extremely cold before the sun comes out.

By Spartacus |

I think you should have the experience of climbing to the top of the mountain to see the sunrise once in your life. The inner peace brought by climbing to the top and the anxious mood of waiting for the sunrise are the best gains of my trip. 1. However, I suggest that you bring warm clothes first, because it is really cold on the top of the mountain. 2. Secondly, you should pay attention to the time and go early. If you come late, you can only see a lot of backs of heads. Finally, I wish everyone who climbs to the top will have good luck to see the wonders of Mount Tai when the sun rises in the east.

By ●‵Moon` |

This is one of the best places to watch the sunrise. At around 5 o'clock, there was light in the sky, and people were crowded, all heading east. The sun slowly peeked out, and there were planes flying in the sky. It felt great. The sun was not as big as imagined, but small, and seemed particularly far away. The sea of clouds was beautiful and worth seeing.

After passing Tianjie and walking eastwards you will reach Riguan Peak.

Coming here in the evening is naturally to prepare for watching the sunrise the next day. At the same time, you can also enjoy the many cliffs here and look down at the peaks you passed by on the way here.

If you go east from here, you can reach Gongbei Stone and Zhanlu Terrace.

Riguan Peak is the best viewing platform for watching the sunrise. You must arrive here 2 hours before sunrise to find the best viewing position. I found a small hill and sat down to wait. I arrived at about 4 o'clock in the morning. I took a nap here and it was almost time. When the sky gradually brightened, there were so many people here that I couldn't count them. I could only see small black dots below, and the intersection was blocked by people. It can be seen that everyone has the same mood for watching the sunrise.

On the day I went to Mount Tai to watch the sunrise, I actually didn't check the weather forecast, and I didn't know if I would see the sunrise. So I came to the foot of Mount Tai from Shanghai, which is nearly a thousand miles away. Only when I arrived did I realize that I had really arrived at the vast northeastern territory of Shandong, the hospitable city. Riguan Peak is the best place to watch the sunrise, but the sunrise is usually very early, and there are many people watching the sunrise every day, so if you come to Mount Tai, it is recommended to visit for 2 days, and you can stay at the top of the mountain for one day, or directly wait for the sunrise in the rest area on the top of the mountain.

By Close yet distant |

The so-called Riguan Peak is a place where you can see the sunrise better. It is a must-go place when climbing Mount Tai. It is a sacred thing to see the sunrise on the top of Mount Tai. It is very good to watch the sunrise from Mount Tai, but it is very cold. You need the highest level of warm clothes in June. If you want to live on the top of the mountain, you usually stay in Nanmen or Tianjie, but the prices in this area are very expensive, so many people choose to climb the mountain late at night and arrive in the early morning to watch the sunrise.
