There are two options for sailing:

1. The official sailboats of the Sailing Center can be assembled freely and set off as soon as the boat is full. The disadvantage is that the sails cannot be raised. According to the staff, only professional sailboats can raise the sails, or private sailboats.

2. Private sailboats, there will be many solicitors coming to ask if you want to ride. Their boats will raise the sails, but their boats are not at the sailing center, but at the sailing training base. They said that there are cars to pick you up, and it takes about ten minutes to drive. Although I really want to go, I really don’t have time to go through this, and it’s not safe to go alone.

So if you want to experience the kind of sailing with raised sails, you can only go to the sailing clubs. It is best to make an appointment in advance, ask for the address and price (you can bargain), and of course the sailing time. I wanted to drift on the sea to watch the sunset, but I consulted and was told that the boats will no longer go out after 4 or 5 in the evening, so it seems impossible. At other times, I remind everyone to pay attention to sun protection!

It is very close to the May Fourth Square, with few people and quietness. You can see the whole view of the light show, sit on a bench quietly, enjoy the sea breeze, and daydream. This is the true meaning of life.

The sailing base of the Olympic Sailing Center is very close to Lover's Dam. There is a lighthouse at Lover's Dam, from which you can directly overlook the light show at the May Fourth Square opposite.

The Olympic Sailing Center is quite large. If you have elderly people or children who have difficulty traveling, it is strongly recommended to take a sightseeing bus to go around the entire Olympic Sailing Center, which takes about 20-30 minutes. The small train costs 40 yuan per person, and the ordinary sightseeing bus costs 30 yuan per person. The ordinary sightseeing bus is at Gate 3 of the Olympic Sailing Center.

If you just want to see the sea, I feel that the Olympic Sailing Center is better than the May Fourth Square. I personally feel that the Olympic Sailing Center Square is also larger than the May Fourth Square. The national flags on the whole street are very beautiful. In the square, you can see the sailboats in the distance slowly sailing. It is indeed a good place to walk and see the sea. The whole square is very close to the sea, so the sea breeze blows from time to time, which is very cool. But apart from that, there is actually nothing to do. I saw on the Internet that the sailing experience here is a bit tricky, so I didn’t do minesweeping. I saw a young couple experiencing it on the spot. I felt that it was not as bad as netizens said. The speed of the boat is indeed slow, but it is also because of fear of danger. If you are interested, you can still try it. There are many places to eat and buy water next to the Olympic Sailing Center. KFC and McDonald's are on the square, and Starbucks is also very close. There are also many Chinese and Western restaurants of all kinds, and there are also many specialty shops, but the quality is not good. You can tell at a glance that they are the kind that specifically rip off tourists. It is better to go to Taitung to buy specialty products and souvenirs. There is a store called Someone's Specialty Shop on Taidong Pedestrian Street, which specializes in selling various souvenirs and specialties. The owner is a real Qingdao native. There are many souvenirs that cannot be bought elsewhere, such as black garlic, beer crisps, donkey-hide gelatin, and Laoshan green tea. These things in their store are really much better than those in other places. Snacks such as fish fillets and squid shreds are also very delicious. I recommend you to go and have a look.

Located on the bank of Fushan Bay in the eastern new district of Qingdao, on the former site of Beihai Shipyard and adjacent to May Fourth Square, Qingdao International Sailing Center covers an area of about 45 hectares, including 30 hectares for the venue area and 15 hectares for the post-game development area. The sailing competitions of the 29th Olympic Games and the 13th Paralympic Games in 2008 were held here. After the 2008 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, the competition facilities in Qingdao International Sailing Center will be slightly adjusted to meet the needs of building a "Sailing City" and post-game development and tourism.

In fact, the Olympic Sailing Center recommends that you come during the day, after all, the combination of white sailboats and the blue sky is more beautiful, and the photos will be better. If you come at night, you can see the night view. There is no ticket for ordinary visits, you can enter by swiping your ID card. Although there are many people, the square here is very wide and people are spread out, so it doesn't feel crowded.

There are cruise ships here, the ticket price is not cheap, mainly to see some night views, and then watch the light show on the sea. I think it is more beautiful to watch the light show in the square.

We drove to the other side of the coast to see the Olympic Sailing Center. It felt like this place was popular during the 2008 Olympics, but now it feels like it has been neglected. The various shops that were once prosperous are now deserted. South Beauty has been closed down, and the classic face has faded seriously. Many shops around it are also closed, and tourists are sparse.

The weather was good, and we could see the blue sea here, but it still looked lonely and deserted. The loneliness highlighted by this artificial building really made people uncomfortable. It was not like the deserted places in nature, but still had the charm of nature. This made me think of the former Ordos.

By linda |

This is also a good place to watch the sunset. The setting sun shines obliquely on the sea, dotted with white sails, as moving as Monet's oil paintings.

Although the nearby Hisense Plaza and Belle Plaza are located in the downtown area, for some reason they are not very popular.

As night falls, the Olympic Sailing Center is covered with a colorful coat.

The lights of the tall buildings on Hong Kong Middle Road in the distance illuminate the night.

If you don’t want to squeeze into the crowd, the cafe next to it is also a good place to enjoy the night view.

Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is the original site of Beihai Shipyard, adjacent to May Fourth Square and Donghai Road. The sailing competitions of the 29th Olympic Games and the 13th Paralympic Games were held here in 2008. Therefore, this place has become a must-visit point in Qingdao. Coming here can really inspire the inner national pride!

We chartered an electric car for 40 yuan per person, which really freed our feet and allowed us to take a tour of the important attractions here. Along the way, we listened to the driver introduce the development that Qingdao has brought about by the Olympics, and we also became excited from the bottom of our hearts!

In order to welcome the 2008 Olympic Games, the Qingdao Municipal Government built the International Sailing Center into a unique architectural area with marine sports characteristics in Qingdao, embodying the concept of "Green Olympics, Technological Olympics, and Humanistic Olympics".

The planning, design and construction are carried out in accordance with the principle of "sustainable development, full utilization after the Games and leaving behind the Olympic cultural heritage". Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center adopts a series of new technologies. The Olympic Sailing Base also pays attention to environmental landscape planning. Through three north-south axes, namely, the west axis-ocean culture axis, the central axis-celebration culture axis and the east axis-natural culture axis, it forms the "Chuan" character. With the theme of "Joyful Dance, Sea Embracing Hundreds of Rivers", it implies that the open Qingdao is opening its doors to the world with a broad mind.

An open sailing center, tourists mainly watch the moored sailboats on the shore, if you don't go to those boats that provide motorboats to go out to sea for a turn. The 2008 Olympic Games auspicious cloud torch stands at the far end.

The full name of the Olympic Sailing Center is Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. It is also one of the filming locations for Go Fighting!. When Yutong went to Qingdao, Go Fighting! had not yet been launched. She was just a fan of traveling... This was the venue for the sailing competitions during the Olympics. It is said to be a pretty good place. I personally think it is pretty good. There are small vendors selling souvenirs in small sheds around. Yutong bought a shell turtle and a straw hat there, as well as interesting small cars for rent...

In order to build a sailing capital, the Qingdao Municipal Government relocated the Beihai Shipyard to Haixi Bay in Huangdao District, and built the International Sailing Center into a unique architectural area with marine sports characteristics in Qingdao. After the 2008 Olympic Games, it was opened to the public. The most popular activity now is sea tours on a sailboat or yacht.

It is a landmark attraction in Qingdao. Qingdao is known as the "Sailing City" and is the most representative attraction of Qingdao and the city's style. It is really beautiful here on a sunny day. Flocks of seagulls fly freely, the sun hangs high in the sky, and the sea surface is shining with golden waves. Sitting on the Lover's Dam, blowing the sea breeze, listening to the sound of waves hitting the rocks, and watching the fishing boats in the distance, how relaxing and comfortable it is. This is life.

You don't need a ticket to enter the Olympic Sailing Center. It's a park. Tickets are required for the cultural attractions (Olympic Sailing Museum, Charming Sea Theater, etc.). The ticket is 120 yuan, and the child is 80 yuan. If you are interested, you can go and have a look. The two of us were not very interested in these and did not go in.

I stayed in bed and missed the marathon, but I still went to the Olympic Sailing Center in the afternoon.

The pier is full of sailboats and it feels great, but it’s always messy when taking photos.

The night view is pretty good, but I can never find a good angle to take pictures of the five rings.

The Olympic Sailing Center would be rather monotonous if there were no fountain shows or something.

The Lover's Dam next to it is even better.

By xuaxian |

The Olympic Sailing Center is very big, and there are many shuttle buses. The end point is the lighthouse at Lover's Dam, but I don't know if it costs money, so we didn't take it. We just walked around the center. There are also several live broadcast vehicles of Qingdao TV station under Lover's Dam. It seems that the sailing competition in the afternoon must be very exciting.

We went to see the light show at the Olympic Sailing Center at night. The Olympic Sailing Center was colorful at night. The sailboats were quietly parked at the dock. The lights on the boats and the dock were very beautiful. There were also a lot of people at the torch sculpture. We simply walked to the Lover's Dam, where the view was just right. At 19:30, all the high-rise buildings along the coast turned on their lights, and the big theater in the distance also set off fireworks... Later I learned that this was the "Light of SCO" from "Friends from Afar" re-enacted during the National Day holiday. We were so lucky! The whole performance was perfectly combined with the city light show, bringing tourists a visual feast.

The harbor is full of masted sailboats and private yachts. The sailing competition of the 2008 Beijing Olympics was held here, and night sailing is also a special experience. However, there are not many sailboats here, so I don’t think they are very beautiful. I have seen too many foreign ones.

Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is so beautiful. When I came, the sky was clear, with blue sky and white clouds, and the sails on the blue sea. It was so charming! It gave me a better feeling than the trestle bridge. It is open to the public for free. You can see the towering Olympic torch from a distance. If you want to take a boat ride, you can. The sea water in the Olympic Sailing Center is really clean, and the waves hitting the dam are very visually impactful. I love it here!

The Olympic Sailing Center is not just a tourist attraction, but a scenic area with Fushan Bay as its base point, with the theme of Olympic sailing and passenger ship experience. To enter here for free, you need to verify your ID card or scan the QR code with your mobile phone to verify.

The Olympic Sailing Center includes Qingdao International Conference Center, Olympic Sailing Museum, Lover's Dam, Torch Avenue, passenger ship experience, etc. The experience passenger ships include Qingdao Star, Blue Sea Pearl, and catamaran passenger ships, and the price is estimated to be not cheap.

On the other side are tall buildings.

The Olympic Sailing Center is free to enter with your ID card. The entire venue is C-shaped, and you have to go back the same way after walking to the end. There are several conference and exhibition halls in the park, and the ticket price is 100 yuan, which is too expensive, so I didn't go in. There are two famous sculptures, one at the entrance and the other just inside. Walking along the shore, the scenery is still pretty good.

By Sherryberry |

At first I thought I was distracted because I didn't wear glasses, but when I zoomed in, I saw the sea breeze blowing in the sunshine, which was as bright as the Milky Way. It was intoxicating and unreal. I saw the same amazing scene at the Olympic Sailing Plaza. It was really amazing.

As we continued along the coast, the wind became stronger and stronger, finally reaching its maximum at the flag stand of the Olympic Sailing Center. The resistance to walking also increased significantly, but I wanted to walk to the lighthouse that stretched farthest into the center of the sea, so I continued to move forward with difficulty, holding my hat.

Ta-da-da… Ta-da-da… The flags of various countries above my head burst into crisp sounds like explosions. I turned around and walked backwards, raised my camera, and recorded this moment of the colorful flags dancing wildly in the blue sky~

The sight of all these flags flying past was really magnificent! However, I think the most beautiful one was our five-star red flag at the front.

The color of the seawater here is a little different from that seen in Yaner Island. The visual effect here is a deeper blue, but it is just as beautiful. And from this angle, you can also see the red May Wind logo on the opposite side and the tall buildings around the May Fourth Square, which is really a great view.

It is said that this is also the best place to watch the light show at night. Emmm... I will pretend that I have already seen the tip of the iceberg that I accidentally glimpsed last night.

When the sailboat is docked here, you can often see more masters driving long guns and short guns.

The row of sailboats is indeed a very beautiful seaside landscape, and if you walk to the other side parallel to the previous flag stand, you can also see the panoramic view and the five-ring logo not far away. I accidentally stepped on a manhole cover, and it turns out that even the manhole cover baby has a name!

The Olympic Sailing Center is a relic of the Olympic Games. It is a pier for hosting marine activities such as sailing and sampan. The sea and sky are dotted with white sails. The scenery is really nice. You can go and see it if you have time.

When the Olympic Games were held here, it was very beautiful. It was very comfortable to walk along the sea and feel the sea breeze. May Fourth Square is very close to Olympic Sailing. There are also restaurants around. There is a light show at May Fourth Square from 8pm to 8:30pm. Although the building is on May Fourth Square, the best viewing angle is actually from the Olympic Sailing side.

Compared to the May Fourth Square next to the center, I prefer the Olympic Sailing Park because it has a harbor feel, and you can also enjoy the Fushan Bay light show at night.

After lunch, we took a walk to the Olympic Sailing Center. It was already sunset, but the Olympic Sailing Center is still a good place to watch the sunset. The view is quite wide, and you can watch the sun slowly hide behind the tall buildings in the distance. Many photography enthusiasts also came here early to set up their tripods and start shooting.

The originally unplanned trip brought an unexpected experience. I wanted to go to Chuange Fish Dumplings for dinner, but I arrived a little early at 5 o'clock. It was close to the Olympic Sailing Center, so I ran to take a look. I walked around from Belle Plaza to the main entrance. Please swipe your ID card to enter the park for free. There is a scenic battery car at the entrance, 30 per person. It is definitely a wise choice for tourists who are short of time or it is inconvenient for the elderly and children to go together. It takes a certain amount of time to walk to the viewing points that seem not too far away. The driver said it would take an hour and a half to walk all the way down. We got on the sightseeing bus without hesitation. We soon arrived at the lighthouse. Because it is close to the coastline, standing by the guardrail and looking into the distance is like being in the vast ocean. The wind and waves are very strong, and the sea water rushes up along the dam around the tower base one by one, and the scene is quite spectacular. Even my mother said that she has seen many seas, and this is still the most spectacular one (I later learned that it was because of the typhoon that the wind and waves were so huge). We stayed at the lighthouse for 5 minutes and then went to the flags of all nations. After a circle, we returned to the main gate. We had to go to eat halfway, so we got off at the west gate, which was very close to Belle Plaza. After dinner, we returned to the Olympic Sailing Center to see the night view. From here, you can overlook the May Fourth Square. It is definitely a good angle to stand here and watch the light show (according to locals, it is only on weekends and holidays). We stayed for ten minutes, and then we hurried back because the weather was not good. We took an express car when we came here, and the road was very congested. It took us a long time to walk the short road. When we went back, I suddenly thought whether we could walk along the seaside guardrail to the May Fourth Square to take the subway (the Olympic Sailing Center is not connected to the subway). It turned out that this was a good choice. Not only did it take less time than expected (it was only 1 km away), but we also experienced the strong winds and waves before the typhoon. There were many policemen on the coastline maintaining order. The waves rushed up to the shore and hit the middle of the road. The police said that when it was big, it could even hit a street next to it, and every year there were children swept into the waves (my heart was pounding when I heard it). We arrived at May Fourth Square smoothly. At 7:30, the May wind was illuminated and the ground lights on the lawn were also on. There were still as many tourists as on weekends.

The original large engraving of the Olympic Sailing Center has been changed to something related to the SCO Summit! The whole thing is still very beautiful! It is recommended to come to the Olympic Sailing Base at night 😊 Really, it's beautiful!

The Olympic Sailing Center is full of luxurious yachts, which is really beautiful. The magnificent conference hall of the G20, surrounded by light shows and occasional activities, overlooking the harbor and the depths of the sea, really satisfies the imagination of the harbor in my mind.

The view here is very good, and the geographical location is also very good. It is located in the most prosperous area of Qingdao. There is the sea in front of it, with no sight obstruction. There is a small hill on the left, which is connected to the seaside promenade. The back is the prosperous Hong Kong Middle Road CBD center. It is worth a visit~

I didn't see clearly in the guide that it is next to the May Fourth Square. I went there twice. It was foggy during the day and I didn't think it was very beautiful.

I came here during the dog days of summer. It was so hot that I was sweating after walking a few steps. The scenery was beautiful, the water and the sky were one color, and dozens of sailboats were quietly moored at the pier. The sea water in Qingdao does not have a strong fishy smell, and the sea breeze brings a cool taste.

It costs 150 per person to visit. We all felt that the price was not worth it. It would be better to have a good meal. We turned around and left, leaving only photos of our visit in the square outside.

It's not bad, the scenery is beautiful, I took the kids on a yacht and a small train. There are also many tourists, it feels really big inside, it takes a long time to walk around slowly! The biggest feeling is that this place is similar to Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf! The same bridge (the one here is much smaller), the boats docked on the shore, and the Starbucks with a view next to it are exactly the same

The view here is very broad, the open sea surface is rippling, and the cool sea breeze drives away the summer heat. It is a good choice for viewing and taking pictures.

When we went there, there were really few people. You can feel that it is a big square. Especially the special commemorative significance also enriches the connotation of the square. You can see many national flags fluttering in the wind on a long street. Olympic Sailing Plaza is also a good place to watch the sea. The view is very wide and the sea breeze is very comfortable. The main thing is that the security feels very well done. It is very reassuring to go with children, especially close to May Fourth Square and the seaside pier, which can be visited in one day. Just before and after the summit, the lights at night are also very beautiful, and beautiful light shows can be seen on the front and back coasts! The children also had a lot of fun. There are many places to eat and drink in the Olympic Sailing Center, but there are no good places to sell souvenirs and specialties. The specialty shops in the Olympic Sailing Plaza feel that they are more ripped off. If you have a need, it is better to go to someone's specialty shop in Taitung. The owner of the shop is very enthusiastic, and the things in the shop are also very complete. The most important thing is that they are all clearly marked. . . . You won't be ripped off. The most feared thing about traveling is being ripped off in various ways. Remind you! The sailing tourism project at the Olympic Sailing Center feels quite boring. It's a small boat with a slow speed and many requirements. It seems that the children are not very happy on the boat, but it's okay to experience it.

The Olympic Sailing Center is connected to the May Fourth Square, and the scenery is nice, especially the night view. Many people come here for a walk at night. The night view is very beautiful, and the lights of the surrounding high-rise buildings are bright.

The Olympic Sailing Center is brightly lit at night, night cruise ships set sail, and even rainy days cannot stop tourists.

It was not open to the public before July, so you could only have a look at it from afar. When I got here, I remembered the scene in the chicken strip where the piglet shouted, "We have a phone." Hahaha, the picture was really vivid.

There are so many people in the Olympic Sailing Center at night. My mother and I wandered around and then went to eat. It was dark when we came out. It felt like the number of people in the square had doubled, but everything in front of me made me exclaim, the night in Qingdao is so beautiful here. Here are two unedited pictures

The Olympic Sailing Center is mainly based on ships. There are countless sailboats, speedboats, large and small ships on the beach!

There were many people coming up to us on the way and asking if we wanted to take a boat ride. A master took us to see the boats, but when we got there I hesitated for a long time and didn't get on the boat because I was afraid of getting seasick and vomiting. But my brother kept lovingly "persuading" me to get on the boat. Later we still didn't experience this, but just took pictures nearby and observed the expressions and colors of other people going out to sea.

The weather was clear that day and the light show viewed from a distance was much more spectacular than what we saw at May Fourth Square.

Be sure to come at night, the night view is beautiful, and the evening breeze is very comfortable on your face. Remember to bring a coat.

Adjacent to May Fourth Square and Donghai Road, the Olympic sailing competition was held here, which is also a symbol of Qingdao as the "Sailing City".

The Olympic Sailing Center is closed now, but if you walk east along the beach from Yanerdao Shaner Park in the west, there is an entrance. No one blocked me and there were no notices, so I came in. Unfortunately, it was foggy and I couldn't see clearly.
