Wulongtan Park

Located outside the west gate of the old city of Jinan, it is adjacent to Baotu Spring in the south and Daming Lake in the north. There are many famous springs around the pond, forming the Wulongtan Spring Group.
The main landscape is named after Wulongtan. It is said that Wulongtan was the residence of Qin Qiong, a hero of the Sui and Tang dynasties. Later, it collapsed and sank due to heavy rain and became today's Wulongtan.
The garden style combines the essence of northern and southern gardens, and is composed of landscapes such as pools, ponds, streams, and harbors. The 27 spring pools around the spring group are connected as one.

Compared to the Baotu Spring Park we are going to visit later (just to the south of Wulongtan Park, right next to it), the water here is clear and there are more scenic spots to visit, although the park is not very big.

The overview of the scenic area is shown in the picture, which guests can refer to for sightseeing. After the time for cherry blossom viewing, I personally think that the Longtan Fish Viewing and Five Dragons Welcoming Guests here are worth seeing.

Longtan Fish Watching is a two-story building overlooking the koi in the clear pond. The water is green and there are colorful koi competing with each other in it, which attracts many tourists to feed the fish, watch the fish and take photos.

Wulongtan Park is right opposite Baotu Spring.

It was already half past five when we arrived at Wulongtan Park.

Seeing that it was still open, I went in to take a look.

Wulongtan Park obviously has fewer people than Baotu Spring.

Of course, it may also be due to the late time.

After entering the gate and going around the screen wall,

Walking forward, we arrived at Wulongtan.

There is a corridor and a pavilion by the water.

It looks relatively new, as if it was built not long ago.

The colorful Chinese architecture

It looks particularly beautiful with the emerald green water.

There are many residents having fun in the small open space beside the pool.

Stretch your arms and legs, play with the water with your children,

There was a table of old men playing chess, and another table playing poker.

It was a scene that really made one feel very comfortable.

It wasn't long before it started to get dark.

We walked through the densely planted path and prepared to leave.

Occasionally, you can see the silhouette of a building in the twilight.

Visit this quiet and soothing little park.

It is much more comfortable than the famous scenic spots that are famous.

Among the four famous spring groups in Jinan, the other three are for viewing, but Wulongtan is for viewing fish. Its area is similar to that of Baotu Spring Scenic Area. Wulongtan Spring Group is composed of dozens of ancient famous springs of various sizes, which are connected together and can be completed in one hour at most.

As soon as you enter the scenic area, you will see five stone dragon sculptures, but due to seasonal reasons, they are not spraying water.

The entire Wulongtan is more like a pool of water in the courtyard of a wealthy family in ancient times, with rockery, weeping willows, pavilions and towers.

There was no snow in Jinan, and only branches were left on the trees, which were not covered with snow, making the scenery look a bit bleak.

The clear green spring water, the swimming koi of various colors, and the reflections of the trees moving in the water are really beautiful (but... I can't take a picture of it).

There are no vendors selling fish food in the scenic area, and there is no requirement not to feed the fish. However, you can see many people throwing steamed bread crumbs beside the spring to feed the fish.

Wulongtan is located in Wulongtan Park, the No. 1 Spring in the World, Jinan City. It is one of the main springs of the three major spring groups. It is located in the middle of Wulongtan Park. Address: No. 18, Kuangshi Street, Baotuquan North Road, Lixia District, Jinan City (intersection of Gongqingtuan Road), opening hours: 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. Famous attractions: No. 1 Spring in the World Scenic Area, Qinqiong Temple, Ancient Hot Spring, Huima Spring.

We left the Baotu Spring Scenic Area with satisfaction and walked to "Daming Lake", passing by the "Wulongtan" Scenic Area on the way.

When I passed by the entrance of Wulongtan Park, I wanted to go in and take a look. After asking, I found out that the ticket was only 5 yuan.

As soon as you enter the park gate, you will see five long dragons lined up together spitting water. This may be the iconic building of Wulongtan Park.

Entering Wulongtan Park, compared to Baotu Spring Park, there are many more large green lawns, which are very pleasing to the eye and comfortable to look at. (For green lawns like this, there is no need to set up any warning signs, and no tourists will go in and step on them. I really don't want to do that!)

Wulongtan Park is not big. You can reach the "Wulongtan" after walking a few steps. In addition to the green lawn, another thing that attracts me to Wulongtan is the clear water. On a clear morning in early autumn, it is azure blue. In this clear blue water, the colorful fish are swimming, which is very beautiful.

There isn’t much else to say or write about. Before leaving, I took a few photos of elderly people doing morning exercises.

Wulongtan Park is located outside the west gate of the old city of Jinan, north of Luoyuan Bridge, and is named after the Five Dragon Ponds in it. According to legend, the Wulongtan was unfathomably deep in the past, and whenever there was a severe drought, prayers for rain would be answered, so in the Yuan Dynasty, a good person built a Five Dragon Temple by the pond, sculpted five dragon gods inside, and since then it has been renamed Wulongtan.

Springs are the soul of Jinan. Wulongtan Springs are listed as the four major springs in Jinan along with Baotu Spring, Black Tiger Spring and Pearl Spring. Without the surging rush of Baotu Spring or the majestic momentum of Black Tiger Spring, Wulongtan is quiet and elegant, like a fairyland, and there are also the sights of fish competing for food for entertainment. I bought a few bags of fish food and sent invitations to the fish. They gathered from all directions in an instant, allowing the feeder to enjoy the pleasure of the fish competing for favor. I quickly pressed the shutter to record this moment of "fish dying for food". After the fish food was gone, some fish were still reluctant to leave, looking around, looking for some leftovers to relieve the loneliness in their mouths.

By Little Yunyun is white and fat |

The original ticket price for Wulongtan was 5 yuan, but it was cancelled in 2019 and it became free. There is a landmark five-dragon fountain at the east gate of the park. There are several springs in the park that are on the list of 72 springs.

By Tian Xiaoyu's Dream |

Wulongtan belongs to the Baotu Springs, a park with many springs. There is no entrance fee, and there are five dragons welcoming guests at the entrance. Rockeries and strange rocks are rare in northern gardens, so flowers and willows are planted along the flowing water and springs to highlight the natural scenery.

By Gai Gai Chen |

The ticket is 5 yuan, just opposite Baotu Spring. It is also recommended to buy tickets online, so you don't have to queue. There are slightly fewer people, and it is smaller than Baotu Spring. Wulongtan has a long history. According to the "Shui Jing Zhu", there was this piece of water before the Northern Wei Dynasty, called Jingchi, which was a corner of Daming Lake. According to legend, Wulongtan used to be unfathomable. Whenever there was a severe drought, prayers for rain would be answered. Therefore, in the Yuan Dynasty, a good person built a temple by the pond and sculpted five dragon gods inside. Since then, it has been renamed Wulongtan. In Wulongtan Park, there are 26 ancient springs of various shapes scattered around, forming the Wulongtan Spring Group, one of the four major spring groups in Jinan. Surrounding many spring pools, a huge Wulongtan Spring System has been formed, which has become the spring group with the best water quality among the four famous spring groups in Jinan.

By tsavo |

Wulongtan is between Daming Lake and Baotu Spring. There were springs there before the Northern Wei Dynasty. Now there are more than 20 springs, 11 of which are counted as the 72 springs. It has been free for a long time. There are some scenic spots inside. You can reach Daming Lake by walking north along the park.

The ticket is very cheap and worth a visit. Although the garden is not big and not as famous as Baotu Spring, it is quiet and peaceful.

By Warm |

I visited Wulongtan again in April 2019. It is very close to Baotu Spring Park.

By Purple smoke rising |

It is not as famous as Baotu Spring and the ticket price is much cheaper, but the scenery of the park is not inferior to Baotu Spring.

Wulongtan Park is very close to Baotu Spring, so we just walked there! The tickets here are super cheap, and there is a reason for the cheapness, probably because the spring water here is not as clear as Baotu Spring! Overall, the viewing value is not too high.

There are very few tourists here, the tickets are very cheap, the scenery is nice, and there is also a memorial hall commemorating Qin Qiong.

By Swirling Water |

It seemed like I had walked to the Huagang Fish-watching Scenic Spot in West Lake. There were many springs, all of which were emerald green and clear. Countless goldfish were swimming in the water, and all kinds of golden and red colors were interwoven into one, which was very gorgeous.

By Fu Waiting |

I highly recommend this place. The environment and scenery are not inferior to Baotu Spring and the tickets are cheap.

The pool is bottomless and is highly speculated to be connected to a karst cave, so Wulongtan is the place with the most live fish among the 72 famous spring pools.

By Andy.Bohu.Tang |

The flowers, plants and water in Wulongtan Park look very quiet.

It's also good to exercise in the morning.

By Small steamed bun |

Wulongtan is actually quite small. The student ticket is half price: 2.5 yuan/person. We visited for half an hour. Wulongtan doesn't have much special features, but it was the first time we saw the spring that kept gushing out water. The small pavilion next to Wulongtan was particularly impressive at the time, because it was the morning when the sun had just come out and the sunlight was particularly beautiful.

By A Hao can't get fat |

It is just north of Baotu Spring. The ticket price was only 5 yuan at that time. The scenery inside is also good. There is also a Qin Qiong Temple inside. The flow of people is not as much as Baotu Spring.

By Gentel Ruth |

The ticket price is 5 yuan per person, and the recommended playing time is 45 minutes. The lake water is clear and green, just like a green mirror.

By Agate Hometown |

Cross the road from the north gate of Baotu Spring and you will see Wulongtan Park. The ticket is 5 yuan. I have heard from storytelling since I was a child that Qin Qiong admired him very much, so I went to Wulongtan Park to see Qin Qiong's former residence. After the tour, exit from the east gate of the park. Walk north along the moat for about 15 minutes and you will reach the southwest gate of Daming Lake.

By Afternoon Summer Solstice |

Diagonally opposite Baotu Spring is Wulongtan Park. The ticket is 5 yuan per person, which is a reasonable price. It is just a park where you can take a walk and see the koi.

By Sturm und Drang |

By Xiaowu |

Wulongtan Park is located near Baotu Spring. It is said that it was the residence of Qin Qiong and later turned into Wulongtan. It is just a legend.

By A lone sail coming from the horizon |

I highly recommend this place. The environment and scenery are not inferior to Baotu Spring, and the ticket price is much cheaper. The Wulongtan in the center is very large, with many fish and clear water. The water quality of other springs is also very good, and you can see obvious bubbles. There is also a water play area in Lianquan on the west side of the park, where many locals are playing. The only drawback is that the Qin Qiong Temple in the north of the park is relatively ordinary, but the flaws do not outweigh the merits. The transportation is convenient, with Baotu Spring in the south and Daming Lake in the north. There are drinkable springs outside the park.

By Snow on the wrist |

Wulongtan is the main spring group in Jinan, with a long history and beautiful scenery. Wulongtan is not as famous as Baotu Spring, and is relatively niche and has fewer visitors. It is more for local elderly people to entertain or take their children out. The park ticket is 5 yuan for adults and half price for students. You can't buy it at a loss or be cheated.

There are many springs in the park, and the water is shallow and clear, which is perfect for children to play in the water. If you bring your kids, remember to prepare a water gun.

There were many fish in the pond, and some people brought dry bread to feed the fish, which was also very interesting.

The most impressive thing was the elderly choir in the park, which had a band, lead singers, and backing singers. I sat next to an old lady and listened carefully to her singing of "Ninety-nine Sunny Days". Her voice was loud and full of emotion. When she sang the line "eighteen-year-old brother", I felt that the singer was an eighteen-year-old girl.

│"The general is born with courage and bravery, with a sword on his waist. I was a general in the Tang Dynasty, and I don't know why I fought against the Han Dynasty."

After visiting Baotu Spring, go out the north gate, cross the road, and slightly to the west is the south gate of Wulongtan - one of the benefits of visiting the Spring City is that the attractions are concentrated.

Wulongtan was mysterious in ancient times. It is said that there was such a water area during the Northern Wei Dynasty and was called Jingchi in ancient times. The pool is bottomless and is highly speculated to be connected to a karst cave, so Wulongtan is the place with the most live fish among the 72 famous spring pools.

In terms of its scale, geographical location and garden style, Wulongtan looks like a "side hall" of Baotu Spring, like a dessert after a main meal. It is only worth stopping by to take a look after visiting Baotu Spring or Daming Lake.

The Five Dragons Playing in the Water at the East Gate entrance is a landmark and the only symbol that distinguishes it from other springs. It is a must-see when you visit this place.

Wulongtan is right next to the Huimin Community. Walk to Wulongtan after leaving the Huimin Community. The ticket to Wulongtan is 5 yuan. Wulongtan is very cost-effective. The place is quite large, a bit like some parks in big cities. There are many tourists in it. We stayed there for more than two hours.

Wulongtan Park is named after the main landscape in the park, Wulongtan. The pond used to be a corner of Daming Lake, called "Jingchi". The first thing you see when you enter the gate is the newly built Wulong Wall. It is said that Wulongtan was the residence of Qin Qiong. You can also see Huima Spring. Willows hang low and the waves are fine. There is a two-story building in the park, which is the former site of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee (1925-1927); statues of Wang Jinmei and Deng Enming; five divine dragons, etc. The east side of the park is sparsely populated and the scenery is pleasant. It ranks third among the "four major spring groups". It is not only a popular place for tourists from other places, but also a good place for locals to cool off and relax.

By Smile |

Wulongtan is right outside the north gate of Baotu Spring. It is a natural oxygen bar and feels great.

By Martian User |

Wulongtan and Baotu Spring are diagonally opposite each other, so it is easy to find and the ticket is cheap, 5 yuan. There is a Qinqiong Temple inside that you can visit.

By Kou Chunyu |

The ticket to Wulongtan is 5 yuan. I went there early and the old man let me in directly without buying a ticket. There were old men and women everywhere carrying buckets to fetch spring water.

By Noisy and Silent |

There are a lot of children in Wulongtan, which is the world of little naughty children. Many children wear water shoes, carry small buckets, and hold water guns, and have a lot of fun. The water in Wulongtan is relatively shallow, but the spring water is obviously not as clear as Baotu Spring. Although it is only one street away, the difference is so strange.

By The Secret of the Eyes |

To be honest, the scenery here is more beautiful than Baotu Spring, and there is no entrance fee.

By Harvey |

Maybe Wulongtan is being renovated, and many places where there should be water are no longer there, such as the five dragons at the entrance, which should be spraying water from their mouths.

By Meow meow meow Xiaobai |

As you enter through the gate, you will see five dragons.

This is a paradise for children. They wear raincoats and rain boots and bring water guns and buckets to play with water. They have a lot of fun.

By Qingshui Tingyin |

The park ticket costs 5 yuan. It is not very big, but there are clear springs everywhere. I really envy the people of Jinan. Wherever there is water in a city, there will be more vitality and liveliness. With springs, it adds more lively colors.

By White Ice |

We arrived at Wulongtan Park and bought tickets at the ticket office. It was five yuan a ticket, which was very affordable. I liked it. I don't know what was in my mind at that time. Maybe I was too happy. I directly said to the ticket seller, give me two catties. The ticket seller also laughed, and we laughed together. There were not many people. It felt like a Jiangnan Park, with winding paths leading to secluded places. I liked it.

It took about half an hour to visit Wulongtan Park.

By Seashore Shell |

Before coming to Jinan, I asked a friend who had been there where to have fun. The recommendation was not Baotu Spring or Daming Lake, but Wulongtan. I was very surprised at the time. When I searched for attractions, I found that it was not a popular place, the reviews were not very good, and the photos were extremely ordinary. But when I came here on the last day, I quickly understood why some people like this place. The small and exquisite garden, with a different view at every step, is especially suitable for strolling alone.

Wulongtan Park, a 4A-level scenic spot, is named after the Five Dragon Pond in the park. According to legend, the Wulongtan was unfathomable in the past. Whenever there was a severe drought, prayers for rain would be answered. Therefore, in the Yuan Dynasty, a good person built a Five Dragon Temple beside the pond and sculpted five dragon gods inside. Since then, the park has been renamed Wulongtan.

"For thousands of years, the dragon has been hiding at the bottom of the lake, and the mountains of the city are reflected in the lake." Mingshi Pavilion is the most iconic attraction in Wulongtan Park, and it is also the scenery on the ticket. The sky is clear, the green lake water, the weeping willows by the lake, and the reflections in the water complement each other, creating a beautiful scene.

I like this place, thanks to the sunny weather, the relaxed mood, and the few tourists. I am exposed to the ordinary, comfortable and real life in Jinan. I gradually began to enjoy the feeling of enjoying the scenery on the road alone, and the surprise and agility of water everywhere in the Spring City. I was in a daze here, watching fish, flowers, or watching naughty children playing in the water, or watching old people walking and chatting. It seems that I have found a little fun, which is the aesthetic interest and the interest of being alone. I was reluctant to leave for the last half day. By the way, I always forgot to say that the ticket here is only five yuan, isn’t it super conscience?

The ticket price is 5 yuan per person. There are many plants. When you enter the door, you can see many fish swimming around. There are fish food for sale. The small bag is 3 yuan a bag, and the cup should be 15 yuan a cup. Because we were in a hurry, we just walked around inside. The two children liked to play inside very much. There are rest seats, water, and flowers. It is a very good park with much higher cost performance than Baotu Spring.

You will pass by on the way to Daming Lake after coming out of Baotu Spring. It is nice to have a visit there. The scenery in the park is beautiful.

By Chef Zhang |

When I went to Wulongtan, the fountain sculpture at the entrance was under repair, so I didn't see it. There were many koi in the water, which was very beautiful!

By The ambition of passerby |

It's a great little park with clear water, few people and many koi. It's not a scene with every step, but it's also exquisite. Take your time. There are springs in the park, including the springs and rising springs that I always thought of. They are not the same as I imagined. You have to look carefully to find them. It's quite interesting.

By Quiet Dawn |

It is one of the main springs of the four major springs in Jinan. There are 26 springs scattered in Wulongtan Park, which is said to be the spring group with the best water quality in Jinan. It is very close to Baotu Spring, Daming Lake and Quancheng Square, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk there. There is also a Qin Qiong Temple inside, with clear water and very good scenery. The ticket price is five or ten yuan, anyway, it is not expensive at all compared to the scenery in the park, and the cost performance is super high. It is recommended to go there if you are visiting Jinan, you will not regret it.

There are ancient hot springs, Dongliu Spring, Huima Spring and Lian Spring where water gushes out from the bottom of the pool, forming a string of beads; there are Yuquan, Qingquan and Tanxi Spring where water gushes out from the bowl-sized spring eyes, splashing like Baotu; there are Gongjia Pool and Qiuxi Spring where water overflows from the cracks in the rocks on the bank of the pool and falls into the clear stream, shaped like a waterfall; there is also Tianjing Spring where "the ground gushes out thousands of beads and the sky is like a mirror lake", Mizhi Spring where "the taste is as delicious as honey and a drink is like heavenly juice", as well as Xianqing Spring, Bingxibo Spring, Jingming Spring and Seventy-three Springs.

The scenery of Wulongtan Park is no less beautiful than that of Jinan City.

There are five dragons spitting water at the entrance, and there are many carps in the pond. The scenery is also pretty good, and there is a joint ticket for it and Daming Lake.

Of all the springs in Jinan, I like Wulongtan the most because the water is clear, there are few aquatic plants, and you can wade in the water.

Jinan is a perfect place to spend a weekend strolling around. There are not many people at each scenic spot, the air is good, there are trees and water, and there are many corridors and seats. Various small animals are also well-fed. It is really a livable city.

I passed by in the evening and found this attraction. I was very surprised and delighted. Many people took their children for a walk. It was not very big, but very comfortable.
