Wulongtan Park

Compared to the Baotu Spring Park we are going to visit later (just to the south of Wulongtan Park, right next to it), the water here is clear and there are more scenic spots to visit, although the park is not very big.



The overview of the scenic area is shown in the picture, which guests can refer to for sightseeing. After the time for cherry blossom viewing, I personally think that the Longtan Fish Viewing and Five Dragons Welcoming Guests here are worth seeing.



Longtan Fish Watching is a two-story building overlooking the koi in the clear pond. The water is green and there are colorful koi competing with each other in it, which attracts many tourists to feed the fish, watch the fish and take photos.

Wulongtan Park is right opposite Baotu Spring.

Among the four famous spring groups in Jinan, the other three are for viewing, but Wulongtan is for viewing fish. Its area is similar to that of Baotu Spring Scenic Area. As soon as you enter the scenic area, you will see five stone dragon sculptures, but due to seasonal reasons, they are not spraying water.

There was no snow in Jinan, and only branches were left on the trees, which were not covered with snow, making the scenery look a bit bleak.

The clear green spring water, the swimming koi of various colors, and the reflections of the trees moving in the water are really beautiful (but... I can't take a picture of it).

There are no vendors selling fish food in the scenic area, and there is no requirement not to feed the fish. However, you can see many people throwing steamed bread crumbs beside the spring to feed the fish.

Wulongtan is located in Wulongtan Park, the No. 1 Spring in the World, Jinan City. It is one of the main springs of the three major spring groups. It is located in the middle of Wulongtan Park. We left the Baotu Spring Scenic Area with satisfaction and walked to "Daming Lake", passing by the "Wulongtan" Scenic Area on the way.

When I passed by the entrance of Wulongtan Park, I wanted to go in and take a look. After asking, I found out that the ticket was only 5 yuan.

As soon as you enter the park gate, you will see five long dragons lined up together spitting water. This may be the iconic building of Wulongtan Park.

Entering Wulongtan Park, compared to Baotu Spring Park, there are many more large green lawns, which are very pleasing to the eye and comfortable to look at. (For green lawns like this, there is no need to set up any warning signs, and no tourists will go in and step on them. I really don't want to do that!)

Wulongtan Park is not big. You can reach the "Wulongtan" after walking a few steps. In addition to the green lawn, another thing that attracts me to Wulongtan is the clear water. On a clear morning in early autumn, it is azure blue. In this clear blue water, the colorful fish are swimming, which is very beautiful.

The original ticket price for Wulongtan was 5 yuan, but it was cancelled in 2019 and it became free. There is a landmark five-dragon fountain at the east gate of the park. There are several springs in the park that are on the list of 72 springs.

Wulongtan belongs to the Baotu Springs, a park with many springs. There is no entrance fee, and there are five dragons welcoming guests at the entrance. Rockeries and strange rocks are rare in northern gardens, so flowers and willows are planted along the flowing water and springs to highlight the natural scenery.

It has been free for a long time. There are some scenic spots inside. You can reach Daming Lake by walking north along the park.

Most people will ignore Wulongtan, but it actually has nice scenery and not as many people as Baotu Spring.

Wulongtan is the main spring group in Jinan, with a long history and beautiful scenery. Wulongtan is not as famous as Baotu Spring, and is relatively niche and has fewer visitors. It is more for local elderly people to entertain or take their children out. The park ticket is 5 yuan for adults and half price for students. You can't buy it at a loss or be cheated.

The water in Wulongtan is relatively shallow, but the spring water is obviously not as clear as Baotu Spring. Although it is only one street away, the difference is so strange.

To be honest, the scenery here is more beautiful than Baotu Spring, and there is no entrance fee.

Maybe Wulongtan is being renovated, and many places where there should be water are no longer there, such as the five dragons at the entrance, which should be spraying water from their mouths.
