Dujiangyan China Giant Panda Garden is located on Huaizhong Road, Shiqiao Village, Qingchengshan Town, 18 kilometers from the city. It is adjacent to the Taoist holy land Qingchengshan in the north and the ancient town of Jiezizi in western Sichuan in the south. Provincial Highway S106 (Western Sichuan Tourism Loop) runs through it. It is close to the World Heritage Area of Giant Panda Habitat and has a climate and natural environment suitable for giant pandas.
The park covers a total area of 760 mu. The park is full of bamboo forests, green trees, lush bamboos, birdsong, flowers and fresh air. With lawns and winding trails, you will feel refreshed when you walk into it. The green three-star building (awarded the "Three-Star Green Building Label Certificate" issued by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of the People's Republic of China on January 28, 2015) is cleverly integrated with the natural environment, creating a good living environment for giant pandas.
Since the establishment of the park, four pairs of giant pandas, "Xinghui, Haohao", "Fuwa, Fengyi", "Huani, Yuanxin", and "Xingya, Wuwen", have gone to the Paradise Zoo in Belgium, the National Zoo in Malaysia, Samsung Everland in South Korea, and the Ouwehands Zoo in the Netherlands for international cooperation and exchanges. "Yunzi", who was born in the San Diego Zoo in the United States, also returned here, forming the world's largest population of returned giant pandas with "Taishan", "Meisheng", "Fubao" and "Baobao".

Panda Paradise is located in Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan. Its official name should be called Dujiangyan Base of China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, or Dujiangyan Chinese Giant Panda Garden. Because we will pass by here when passing through Jiuzhaigou, we chose to visit the national treasure here based on the principle of proximity. Panda Paradise is the only scientific research institution in China that focuses on disease prevention and control and wild rescue of giant pandas, and is also the main battlefield for foreign scientific research cooperation. Although there are not many pandas in it, they have a great background. Most of the giant pandas in Panda Paradise are "returnees" or "second-generation overseas Chinese" who have served as friendly ambassadors to various parts of the world.
The current Panda Park was newly built after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. The entire base covers an area of about 760 mu, with a total investment of about 230 million yuan. In order to provide a good and comfortable living environment for the national treasures of all ages in the park, the current Panda Park is located close to the World Heritage Site of the Giant Panda Habitat, where the climate and natural environment are more suitable for their long-term residence.
It's very average, with only three areas in total, all relatively small. There are probably a dozen pandas in total, all adult pandas, one or two in each garden. The garden is relatively large and I can't see clearly. There is also a red panda garden (maybe because the garden is too big, so I didn't see any), and I didn't see any black bears. I suggest you go to the Chengdu Panda Base if conditions permit. The overall experience here is not very good.
PS: I came here during the National Day holiday, so there should be more pandas, but there weren't. A large number of volunteers were cleaning slowly, which resulted in many pandas being locked up. So many people were crowding to see an empty park during the National Day holiday... I was complaining like crazy, why did they arrange volunteers to clean at 9am? Tourists bought tickets to see you cleaning? Black question mark face...
You must go here to see the pandas rolling. You must go early in the morning. The cooler the weather, the greater the chance of seeing the pandas rolling.
After buying the tickets and entering, the environment inside is pretty good. You can choose to take a sightseeing bus or walk there. We walked directly because there are not many spots to see pandas. It takes about an hour to visit. The pandas here are basically lazy.
The Dujiangyan Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda covers an area of about 760 mu, with a total construction area of about 12,542 square meters. It is divided into six areas according to its functions: Giant Panda Rescue and Quarantine Area, Giant Panda Disease Prevention and Research Area, Giant Panda Rehabilitation and Training and Feeding Area, Public Reception and Education Area, Natural Vegetation Area, and Office and Logistics Service Area.
The Dujiangyan Base is responsible for the rescue of wild giant pandas across the country, and the lives of many old, sick and disabled giant pandas will be continued here.
The Jiangyan Base is designed in accordance with the standards of the Green Building Three-Star Award. It is also close to the Giant Panda Habitat World Heritage Area and has a climate and natural environment suitable for giant pandas to live in. Here, there are square bamboo, walking stick bamboo, arrow bamboo and other edible bamboos for giant pandas, so it can be said that they have no worries about food and clothing.
I think the most interesting place in Chengdu is to see giant pandas, giant pandas and red pandas. You can also see red pandas up close. They calmly walk past you and look back to find a peacock behind you. I really like this place.
If you go to Dujiangyan, you can go there for a visit if you have enough time.
The tour takes about an hour. It is quite funny to see the cute giant pandas climbing down from the trees.
Giant pandas are so cute! Why did I think that just watching videos on Weibo was enough? Seeing giant pandas stretching, eating bamboo until they lie down, and rolling around in front of me made my heart melt! Really, there is no need for any explanation, the giant pandas speak for themselves.

People went there for the giant pandas, and it is quite suitable for them to live in.
Actually, I didn't have high hopes for this place in the group itinerary, but it really exceeded my expectations when I got there. We arrived at around noon because the tour guide said that the weather was not very good that day and the giant pandas would not wake up so early, but when we got there, most of the pandas were actually asleep. In fact, there were only a few pandas in total, but the advantage is that the giant pandas are very cute, and every gesture will make you feel very happy, so even if you only see three awake pandas, it is still quite interesting to watch for a while. It took about an hour and a half in total, and then we came out. You can take a sightseeing bus at the entrance of the Panda Park, and walk all the way up after getting off the bus, and walk around a circle. Because I haven't been to the base, I don't know how it is, but the Panda Park is still highly recommended for me, who has not seen pandas a few times.
After arriving at the base, we immediately started cleaning the outer enclosure of the pandas. We shoveled feces, cleared discarded bamboo, and swept the floor. We had to clear a space for the pandas so that they could eat and play better.
After having a working lunch at noon, we watched a documentary about giant pandas.
In the afternoon, the cleaning process was the same as in the morning, but as our love for the cats deepened and our understanding of their habits deepened, the work became more handy. Then we started making delicious steamed bread for the pandas.
At the end of the day, everyone received a volunteer certificate.
The center is very good. It is in the mountains, the environment is very good, and it is very quiet. If you find time, you can see cats with different personalities. There are several parks in total, and the cats are of different ages. There are old cats, adult cats and sub-adult cats. There are about 20 cats on display. Some like to hang on trees, some like to socialize with the bears next door, and some like not to go home. Pandas like cold and not hot, so it would be better to go in winter. If you really want to see pandas, it is not recommended to go to the base. There are too many people, and most of the cats have various diseases. They are not very energetic, and the whole experience is not good. Here, the cats are more lively. Old cats also climb trees. Every cat has its own story, you can go and learn about it.
There are many people. Friends who like giant pandas can go and see it. It's not bad.
Located at the foot of Mount Qingcheng, it has beautiful scenery and is where research on the reproduction and survival of giant pandas is being conducted.
The tour guide arranged it very well. We saw the panda and its cub, which was very cute.
You don't need to come here to see the base in Chengdu. It's too far.
I wish the giant pandas a happy life!
☞Various dolls are very cute
☞The joy of singing in the audio guide
☞It’s good when the weather is not too hot
I had never seen the national treasure in person before, and I was really excited to see it for the first time.
Each one has its own name, and there are one or two in each garden. There is an electronic voice guide at the entrance of the base. In the voice guide, I heard that the panda Panpan died of a tumor last year. Looking at the now empty garden where he once lived, I felt inexplicably sad.
The visiting time was a bit rushed, there were quite a lot of people, and seeing pandas in the hometown of pandas is a standard
I went there in May last year. I was working nearby at the time. Whenever I had time, I wanted to see the nearby attractions. So I found the nearest one, the Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center. It was also by accident. In fact, the tourists you can see here are mainly foreign tourists, all of whom are group tours. I guess they are walking in a row. The next stop should be places like Jiezi Ancient Town. The country is very large and rich in species. There are other rare animals and plants, so here you can not only see pandas but also other protected animals. And if you don’t go early (generally the best time to see pandas is around 7 or 8 o’clock, because this time is when the keepers feed them and eat, and the pandas will eat outside), you can basically not see pandas. Last time I went there at noon, I didn’t see much because it was too hot. The pandas were all in their rooms or sleeping. The pandas actually snored when they slept, and it was very loud and unpleasant. The air in the park was very clean and cool. After all, it is deep in the mountains. Finally, when I was about to go back, I saw a TV station doing a program interacting with pandas. Well, it was not in vain this time!
The tour guide said there were about 20 to 30 giant pandas. If you are lucky, you can see them moving around because they sleep most of the time. If that's the case, then our luck couldn't be better. The giant pandas were basically active all the time. They were so cute. They are naturally cute and will not be affected by tourists. They play, eat and make noise on their own. There are not too many tourists in the key scenic spots. The bamboo forest is swaying and green. It's very nice.
The security guards charge 50 yuan per person privately and will specifically tell others that you are someone's relative. These security guards are traitors.
The environment is pretty good, but you have to go when the weather is clear so that the giant pandas will come out! There are many foreign volunteers inside
The entire base is relatively small, and it is best to go there at 9-10 in the morning to see the giant pandas eating.
It was much worse than I expected. It was called the Panda Base, but it was actually very small. There weren't many pandas, and some of them didn't come out. I finished the whole tour in less than half an hour.
It's really average, not recommended, waste of time.
In fact, pandas are quite lazy and you have to be patient to take good photos of them.
The address of this Dujiangyan base is: Daguan Town, Dujiangyan, Chengdu (only 1 km away from Daguan Town, but it belongs to Qingcheng Mountain Town, and it is only 8 minutes by car to Qingcheng Mountain Town) (If you drive, get off the expressway at Zongyi Station of Chengguan Expressway and drive straight to the end in the direction of Qingcheng Mountain. When you reach a T-junction, turn left and you will arrive after 1 km). If you take the train, get off at Qingcheng Mountain Station and then transfer to Bus No. 102. It takes about 10 minutes from Qingcheng Mountain Station to arrive (tell the driver to get off at the Panda Base)
There are more than 40 panda villas and currently there are more than 30 pandas... The environment, the number of pandas and the experience are much better than those of the Chengdu Panda Base... The most important thing is that you can see them at a very close distance, about 1 meter at the closest, which is absolutely unique.
I saw in the guide that some friends said that you should see pandas in the morning, otherwise when the weather gets hot, the national treasures will hide in their rooms and won't come out. Sure enough, they all hid in their rooms.
Although there are not as many pandas as in the panda base in the city, there are very few people, basically just our team and some scattered tourists. Pandas like cold and fear heat. The temperature here is relatively low, and the pandas are very lively.
This place was built with aid from Hong Kong after the Wenchuan earthquake. The design inside is very good, completely imitating the original ecological design concept, so the pandas have a wide activity area. In addition, because the temperature is suitable, you don't have to watch the pandas through glass like in Guangzhou.
I just wanted to find a place with few people to see the national treasure during the National Day holiday. It can't be compared with the Panda Park in Chengdu. There are very few pandas, and the lanes to enter are narrow. People park randomly, which is a bit chaotic.
