About tickets and accommodation:

Jiufeng Mountain does not require tickets, but the mountain gate is currently under construction and it is estimated that tickets will be charged soon.

About other expenses

Camping fee for the top of the mountain: 30/person

Temple accommodation fee: 60/person

stay:

There are two options for accommodation on the top of the mountain. One is to sleep in a dormitory, 60 yuan per person, and the other is to camp, 30 per person.

The climbing route is roughly divided into four sections: foot of the mountain - Qingliang Temple - Zushi Hall - Guanyin Temple - Jinding. The intensity, distance and time consumption of the last three sections are basically the same.

At the foot of the mountain is the Red House (starting point for hiking), where you can stay in a farmhouse and there are restaurants with relatively complete facilities.

1. The scenery along the way of Jiufeng Mountain is average, and people usually go there to see the snow scenery, sunrise, and sea of clouds on the top of the mountain. In addition, the intensity is relatively high, so it is more suitable for mountaineering enthusiasts. The intensity is relatively high, so when participating in the activity, you should fully consider your own tolerance.

2. The mountain is closed due to heavy snow from November 10th of the previous year to April 10th of the next year. It is not suitable to go during this period. You can go after mid-June, but it is best to avoid the rainy season from July to September, because there are many leeches in the rainy season and the road is difficult to walk. I think mid-October is the best time to go, and you can also see the white snow on the Taizicheng Mountains.

3. There is no electricity on the mountain, so a flashlight or headlamp is a must. There is basically no mobile phone signal

4. Beginners should not go alone. There have been many accidents at Jiufeng Mountain. Most of the time, the reason is that after climbing to a certain point, they are afraid to go up or down.

5. There is only one road from the Red House to the top of the mountain. It is best not to go alone when there is heavy fog to avoid slipping and falling.

6. Regarding camping on the top of the mountain, there are camping spots on the top of the mountain, and you can also camp inside the temple. If there are few people, you can set up a tent. If there are too many people, it is not necessary. Just lay out a moisture-proof mat + sleeping bag.

7. The top of the mountain is usually visited by tourists. There are people staying there (who are responsible for charging fees). The fees are not paid in vain. The top of the mountain also provides boiled water, rice, and even charging. I have been there several times and found that the facilities in all aspects are being improved step by step.

By Do not eat onions, ginger and garlic |

There are three sections from the Red House parking lot to the top of the mountain. The first section of stairs ends at the Zushi Hall. The second section is a gravel and landslide road. Follow the prayer flags all the way to Guanyin Rock. Don't look down at Guanyin Rock. The third section of gravel stairs goes all the way to the top.

Worth a visit!

I went there once in November 2017. I was very lucky. The journey was difficult and the scenery was amazing. I am going to go there for the second time recently to see how I am this time.

We set out from Pengzhou at 8:30, started climbing the mountain at around 10:00, arrived at Guanyin Rock at around 5:00 in the afternoon, cooked hot pot for more than two hours, continued the night climb at around 7:00, and reached the summit at around 9:00 in the evening.

Take the bullet train from Xipu to Pengzhou, then take the bus when you get out of the station (I had searched online before, but didn't see the specific bus route, so I just got on a bus, I think it was No. 106), arrive at the passenger transport center, buy a ticket to Baishui River from the passenger transport center (10 yuan per person), get off at Baishui River and take a private car to the red house at Jiufeng Mountain (30 yuan per person). We chose to travel light, and didn't bring anything except clothes and food. We stayed in the blue house at night (60 yuan per person, it's very cold, so wear more clothes).

Notes: ① You must bring cash (there is no internet on the mountain, Alipay, WeChat, etc. are not available), and you must also bring a power bank, as there is no place to charge it. ② Wear warm clothes, it is really cold at night, even under a blanket. ③ You can prepare a hiking pole or a wooden stick. Shoes should be non-slip and warm.

By Yoyo Bear and Yoyo Rabbit |

Very beautiful! But the climbing intensity is too high. It took seven or eight hours to get from the Red House to the Golden Summit on the first day, and it took six hours to get down the mountain on the second morning! The Golden Summit is very cold at a high altitude, so you need to bring a thick down sleeping bag. I went up in short sleeves, and it was too cold at night.

2018.2.18~2.19 It was the first time to hike in Pengzhou Jiufeng Mountain. We didn't know the dangers on the way. We drove to the Red House first. It was a little rainy. We rented hiking poles and crampons in the supermarket. We didn't prepare these things because it was our first time. We carried a tent, a sleeping bag and a schoolbag. Go up the mountain! At the beginning, we walked up the ladder to the first temple. It was still very tiring. If you just play here, it's enough. In the snow season, you can walk inside and play in the snow. The snow inside is enough for southerners to make snowmen and have snowball fights. The road from the first temple is an undeveloped path. The night before we went, there was hidden ice, which made it very difficult for us. We were nervous when we walked through the gullies of the landslide. Especially at the last big rock, we were blocked by the snow. The snow was thicker than our knees. We had to step on the big rock to get through. But the hidden ice was too slippery. If you didn't grab it, you would slide into the deep gully. We were all panicking and trying to suppress the fear in our hearts. We breathed a sigh of relief after half an hour, and then the second wave of danger came again. We grabbed the wire close to the cliff. Because of the heavy snow and hidden ice the day before, the road became particularly narrow and slippery. The journey from the first temple to the second temple was the longest and most dangerous. We slowed down and walked and climbed steadily. When we reached the second temple, we were already exhausted. We rested for half an hour and continued to the top of the mountain. It took more than an hour to reach the top of the mountain. It took a total of eight and a half hours, sitting by the stove, warming up the fire and drinking hot water. There was a bunk bed on the top of the mountain for 60 yuan per person, including a quilt. It was a wooden bed. We brought a tent, because it was too cold, we set up the tent in the house. One tent seemed to be 60 yuan, and bargaining was impossible. . . We brought sleeping bags or rented three quilts because it was too cold. Anyway, it was the same price as sleeping in a bunk bed. There were four of us. The wind on the top of the mountain was really cold enough to kill people. We each put on more than three hot packs on average. It snowed heavily that night. Some guys even brought their own portable hot pot speakers. The next day, they took out a small gas pipe to cook porridge and fry steak! It was really super fashionable and super hateful. In the morning, we made a bucket of instant noodles. Because it was too cold, the water couldn't boil. I took a bite and felt uncomfortable, so I didn't eat anything. The master said that we should go down the mountain as soon as possible when the sun comes out, otherwise the snow will melt and it will be all ice, which will be very slippery and dangerous. Then we went down the mountain. The scenery was really beautiful. I only saw a little bit of the hazy sunrise, but I was still quite satisfied..........

I want to go again to see the starry sky and sunrise and enjoy the sky when it’s not too cold because it was really cold that night.

When talking about places to see the sea of clouds in Sichuan, many friends will think of Niubei Mountain, Dawa Gengza and other places. In fact, you can still enjoy the beautiful feast of sea of clouds in Pengzhou Jiufeng Mountain. Of course, this is not only a good place to see the sea of clouds, but also the sunrise, sunset, Buddha's light, and fantasy. As long as the weather is good enough and the character is good enough, you can appreciate them one by one.

In late June and early July, is anyone going to climb Jiufeng Mountain? Looking for a team. I have climbed Niubei Mountain and Niangniang Mountain, so I shouldn't be a drag!

By Sunflower |

There is no one to join the group to climb the mountain. I went there once before but didn't reach the top. I want to challenge it again.

By Walking Little K |

It’s hard to put it into words.

It took exactly 6 hours to climb the mountain. When we reached the top, there was only an uncle. Because I had greeted the nun in the ancestral temple and knew that I would stay overnight, the uncle had been waiting for me.

Then it all depends on luck. When I went up the mountain, I had a bad feeling. It was all over. I had to go for nothing. But the uncle had experience and said that the weather in Jiufeng Mountain changes very quickly. Don’t look at the fog now. It may be clear in a few minutes. As expected, he has the temperament of a European emperor. After half an hour, I went out to take a look with doubt. My God, Jesus Christ, the sea of clouds was steadily displayed in front of me. It was a state of affairs. I also took pictures of thunderstorm clouds. What is the "God's perspective"? It means that you stand on the clouds and watch the world below go through wind and rain.

The starry sky at night was also beautiful. I calculated the time so that the moon would set after 12 o'clock, and I could take pictures of the Milky Way. The only regret was that there were clouds, but I could still take pictures of another kind of hazy beauty. For me, who had to break through the fog all the way up the mountain, I was prepared for a wasted trip, and I was very satisfied to see such a scene.

It took 6 hours to go down the mountain, especially the last section from the cable bridge to the red house. I didn't feel anything when I went up the mountain, but I really wanted to curse when I went down the mountain. The whole road was on a slope. I know you came up for the convenience of driving, but have you ever thought about hiking? Can't you dig a staircase trail next to it? You know, going down the slope is the most knee-breaking, not to mention heavy equipment. This last section of the road also made me completely tilt the scale of my evaluation of Jiufeng Mountain towards not recommending it. When someone asked me, I always said I didn't recommend it. The starry sky and sea of clouds are not bad in this place, but considering the hardship of going up and down the mountain, it's not worth it.

By Fang Yu |

All the praises are not enough to express that all the difficulties have been replaced by the lingering feeling at this moment. The first time I climbed to the top was on May 21, 2017. It was foggy and rainy, so I regretfully did not see the sunrise. The second time I climbed to the top was on April 28, 2018. The sunrise jumped out of the clouds at 06:17 on the morning of the 29th. Everything was perfect as I wished.

By ar98k |

Why not? Tomorrow is the 29th. Are there any fellow hikers who would like to go with you?

Having a group of lovely hikers is better than anything else. It was a very unforgettable mountain climbing. Although the process was very difficult, it was all worth it when I saw the beautiful scenery and the sunrise.

Is there anyone who needs to go to Pengzhou Jiufeng Mountain? I went there once but failed. I want to go there a second time, but I am not familiar with the route. It would be best if there are more than three people.

By China-TravelNote users |

It's very good. The snow is very thick. I went there with my boyfriend. It was the first time for him to see such heavy snow. He was very happy. I was very happy too. The only thing is that we have to bring crampons. When we go down the mountain, we rented them for 20 yuan a pair. After returning them to the boss, we went downhill. There was a lot of ice on the road. It was very slippery and it was easy to fall. We only walked to the first rest stop. We climbed for about two hours. It felt a little dangerous when we wanted to climb up. It was a small path. Moreover, the first time we went there, we didn't have enough time and equipment, so we didn't go there. We will go there again in the future. It is suitable for hikers and couples to date. It's still okay, but you have to pay attention to safety because there is no one to manage it. Some people eat garbage and throw it away. There are several houses after climbing the stairs. An auntie even made glutinous rice balls for us to eat. It's not easy to snow all the time. It's not far from Chengdu. There is a place to see the snow. I am very satisfied.

By June |

On the morning of January 30, my girlfriend and I arrived at Luohe Bridge very early. It was snowing lightly, so we put on crampons and headed towards the Red House, taking pictures as we walked. The snow was getting heavier and heavier, and we arrived at the Ancestral Hall at eleven or twelve o'clock. The grandparents in the hall said they couldn't go up anymore and couldn't see the sunrise over the sea of clouds. So we walked a little further to the gravel, but couldn't see the road anymore, so we turned back, roasted a fire in the hall, rested for a while, and then went down the mountain.

By crow |

First time going, round trip on the same day. I felt the steps were boring. The road was too icy and cars couldn't reach the so-called red house, so the starting point was on the road. It took about 6 hours to reach the top. It took about 3 hours to come down. I was just playing along the way and didn't rush.

In general, Jiufeng Mountain is highly playable and of medium difficulty, with the difficulty mainly reflected in the fast ascent. If you are not in a hurry, it is not difficult to play on the way up and down on the same day.

I had a section of stairs that was really unbearable, so there was a mudslide going straight up, and then I went back to the stairs above the Guanyin Temple and continued walking up the stairs. Once I got up, the smog was even worse than in the city. I stood there for a few minutes and suddenly the sun came out and I could see some mountains. A minute later, the smog came back, so I retreated decisively. I will go again in a few days. I will go and see what I haven't seen yet. That's all I can share now.

By 🍗Eat, eat, eat |

2017-12-29 I bought crampons, snow gloves, hiking poles and hiking shoes, and set off excitedly early in the morning. When I arrived at the legendary red house, I was told that the mudslide had destroyed the scenic area and I couldn't go forward. As an ordinary idle person, I am not a mountaineering and hiking enthusiast, so I had to give up and go home. They said I had to wait until the Spring Festival to open again. I hope we can see you again.

By Never stop |

I hiked Jiufeng Mountain alone to bid farewell to 2017. I climbed the mountain for 4 hours and 22 minutes (I really don’t know how I finished the last hour. I usually bring 3L of mineral water for hiking. I read the Jiufeng Mountain guide and it said that two bottles of water are enough. Today I brought two thermos cups, one Red Bull and one Pulse, which were not enough. After walking for 3 hours, because the weather was relatively dry and the sun was too strong, there was only about 100 ml of hot water left. Because I didn’t know how far the top of the mountain was, I didn’t drink it anyway. In the end, I was completely dehydrated while walking. In the end, I ate a few handfuls of snow to barely have the motivation. I filled a bottle of snow with a bottle and set off again). I finally reached the top of the mountain, but there was still no water in the end, so I could only drink the last 100 ml of water. It took 2 hours and 24 minutes to go down the mountain. I didn’t crave water that much when I went down the mountain. I just wanted to go down the mountain quickly to buy water to drink, otherwise I might get dehydrated. Let me talk about the Jiufeng Mountain on December 29, 2017. Because the hidden ice section was not very long and was about 10 meters difficult to walk on, I thought it was possible to not bring crampons (bringing two pairs of unwanted cotton socks to cover your feet is much lighter than wearing crampons). Because the weather was sunny during this period and there was no snow, you must bring enough trekking poles and water.

By Hercules |

It was past nine in the evening when we arrived at the Golden Summit. There was no hot water or instant noodles. The noodles we had were instant noodles. We spent the first night of the year in hunger and cold. We were preparing to go to Zhaogong Mountain for the Chinese New Year.

By zombie_rq |

On Sunday, October 22, 2017, a group of four people set out from the red house where we parked at 9:20. Along the way, we met hikers who came down from the top of the mountain from time to time, saying that we could see the first snow of the year at the top of the mountain. We arrived at Guanyin Rock a little after 1 pm, but unfortunately the gate was closed. We didn't have a good rest and wanted to go back and forth on the same day, so we had to go back. We arrived at the parking spot at 4:30 and drove home. It was drizzling on the way there, and we were walking in the rain and fog. When we came back, the sky was clear and beautiful. If one of us hadn't dragged his feet, we would have set out from the bottom of the mountain a little after 8 o'clock, and there should be no problem going back and forth on the same day. Next time, find a time to make an appointment with a stronger teammate and make sure to attack the top of the mountain.

On May 5, 2018, I made an appointment with a few passers-by online. Six people in a car set off from the Red House parking lot at 12:00, arrived at the Zushi Temple at 1:00, arrived at Guanyin Rock at 3:00, and arrived at Jinding at 5:20. The people who went with me arrived at 4:20 and 6:40 respectively. I stayed overnight in a dormitory. I was not in good health and had slight chest pain when sleeping. It rained a few times at night, and the indoor temperature was about 3 or 4 degrees. I got up at about 5:00 and watched the moon and stars for a few minutes. Later, heavy fog came, and then there was no sunrise and sea of clouds. So I went back, set off at 7:10, and went down the mountain at 11:20. Walk slowly, pay attention to protect your knees.

Finally, there is too much garbage along the way. Although we cannot clean up the garbage left by others, we should at least require ourselves not to add new garbage.

By Happy Learning |

It took more than 6 hours to climb the mountain. I carried my own food and clothes, which were still heavy. I kept asking, "Are we there yet?" and complaining all the way, but I kept moving. Finally, I reached the top of the mountain. A group of people sat there, warming themselves by the fire and chatting. It was very interesting. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, I was lucky enough to see the moon. The next morning, I even saw the sunrise! (The couple watching the sunrise was so warm) It was worth it. It took 4 hours to go down the mountain. My feet were shaking. I had to take one step at a time, otherwise it would still be dangerous. It was really a physical torture, but a spiritual enjoyment!

If there is a next time, I hope she will be with me😊

I’m very happy that I was able to make an appointment with someone to go mountain climbing together on 10.1. Thanks to them, I was able to return home safely. It can be considered a life-saving grace. Now wait for my gift!

There are only four sentences to warn future generations. It is true that it takes six or seven hours to climb the mountain. There is no exaggeration at all. You are a hero when you reach the top, but you are a bear when you come down. There is only instant noodles at the top of the mountain. The gravel road is really dangerous!!!

Full record: I took the 7 o'clock train to Pengzhou, met 3 people on the way, and the 6 of us took a chartered car to the Red House. The fare was 180 yuan, not a rip-off. We went there at the end of April, which was not the rainy season. There were no tickets (but they will start collecting tickets soon, so hurry up). It is recommended to buy more fresh beef at the foot of the mountain, which is a good product for replenishing energy. Bring more water, but don't bring too much other things because some people didn't finish their meals. There is food on the top of the mountain (dry rice, which you have to grab) for 20 yuan. It takes 5-7 hours for the average person to stay strong, and we have two fat people (8 hours). Generally, we don't get lost. There were more people when we went there, but there was enough accommodation on the top of the mountain. We reached the top around 6 o'clock, laid down and played poker for two hours, and the sea of clouds appeared. People who were exhausted were shouting: It's worth it. The starry sky is beautiful at night. I uploaded the pictures from other people's SLRs. Don't take pictures with your mobile phone, you can't capture anything. The boss will get up at 3 o'clock in the evening to light a fire so you can keep warm. It is very cold on the mountain. It felt like my sleeping bag was full of water. I almost caught a cold. I was woken up at about 4 o'clock, then got up to look at the starry sky, watched the sunrise at 6 o'clock, and went down the mountain at 7 o'clock.

A 5-year-old child could walk up by himself. Don't doubt yourself. Just keep going. It took 5 hours to get down the mountain. It was very fast. I was really lucky. The road was in good condition. After the rainy season, it was really slippery. After going down the mountain, my legs were crippled for two days, and some were crippled for a week.

Countless beautiful sights are on the dangerous peaks, the beautiful Nine Peaks are worth climbing!

Note: The picture is from a mountain at 3,200 meters high, without any additional processing, I am just a porter of nature!!

Maybe I have been there too many times, so I don't have any feeling for this kind of mountain. Generally speaking, it is still very easy to climb the mountain, 7 hours, I think it is not as difficult to climb as Zhaogong Mountain, and the scenery is okay.

A good place for outdoor training, the foot of the mountain is 1200 meters above sea level, the top of the mountain is 3270 meters above sea level, and the altitude rises by 2000 meters. It took me 7 hours to hike up with heavy equipment. The most impressive thing is that the whole route is full of stairs, and there are gravel belts caused by earthquakes all the way.

Jiufeng Mountain is the first stop of my outdoor trip. I failed in my first climb in mid-October 2016. On May 1, 2017, I gritted my teeth and persevered for nine hours to drag my 210-pound body up the mountain because I wanted to eat a bowl of hot instant noodles on the top of the mountain. It turns out that perseverance can be so strong. Thanks to my good brothers who supported each other along the way.

On May 4, 2017, two people climbed the mountain, one with heavy equipment and the other with light equipment. We started climbing at 11:30 am and reached the top at 7 pm. We were not very lucky. We did not see the starry sky, the sea of clouds was not in pieces, and we did not see the sunrise. We stayed on the mountain for one night. We brought our own tent and sleeping bag. There were also accommodations on the mountain. If it is the first time to climb such a mountain, it is best to carry light. There are accommodations on the top of the mountain, so you can make do with one night. We were really unlucky. It snowed heavily the next morning, and the snow covered everything in a short time. As for going down the mountain, we had breakfast and started to go down the mountain at 9:30. We arrived at the parking lot at 4 o'clock. It took 6 and a half hours. Because the road was slippery due to snow, and then it was raining all the time without snowing, so it took a little longer. Before going out, you must understand the local weather conditions in advance. If our situation occurs, we can only go next time. I hope this can help everyone.

On the morning of January 14, 2017, we took the high-speed rail from Xipu to Pengzhou, and then chartered a car to the Red House in Baishui Town. The Red House is 1,400 meters above sea level. We started climbing the mountain at 10 o'clock. Snow began to fall at the foot of the mountain. There was more snow halfway up the mountain, so we could make snowmen. Passing the Zushi Temple, there were instant noodles and fermented glutinous rice, all for ten yuan. We sat outside to eat, it was so cold. Further up is Guanyin Rock. This section of the road is the most difficult to walk. The slope is steep, there are piles of rocks, and it is very dangerous without crampons and trekking poles, but the snow scenery is very beautiful. It is not far from the top of Guanyin. There is no snow on the top of the mountain. It is very cold at night, and the mineral water will freeze into ice. There is a large bunk bed for 60 people. It costs 30 per person to set up a tent. There is only a bowl of noodles for 15 yuan. The sunrise in the morning, the sea of clouds is nice. Because another mountain blocked it, the sunset could not be seen. It took 8 hours to go up the mountain and 5 hours to go down the mountain. It was quite difficult, mainly because the road was too steep and difficult to walk.

The difficulty is not very high. It took me 7 hours to climb to the top and 3 hours to descend. I won't write a guide, but I will remind you to wear hiking shoes when there is snow in winter. It is best to have two hiking poles, snow caps and crampons. You must bring crampons. You can buy a pair of crampons at Zushidian for 40 yuan. The quality is not very good. I recommend you to buy them online. There is accommodation at the top of the mountain, and you can eat noodles for 15 yuan a bowl. Jiufeng Mountain is indeed a good place for training.

I went there last weekend. I was not in good physical condition. It took me nearly 9 hours to climb up the mountain and 7 hours to descend. I did not wear hiking shoes, but fortunately I had hiking poles. Although it is not as spectacular as the sea of clouds at Niubei Mountain, it is still worth going. There is the Milky Way at night, but unfortunately I can't take a picture of it with my phone.

I went there today. I climbed up to the Zushi Temple for an hour and arrived at a world of ice and snow. I lingered there and didn't go to the top. The scenery was nice. Although it was hard, it was worth it. If you go there later, you need to pay attention to safety. The road is muddy and slippery with snow. I still saw a lot of garbage along the way. It would be good if I could take it away.

Jiufeng Mountain is currently under development (currently free of admission), and it is expected to be developed in two or three years. The mountaineering road will be all cement or stone stairs. The natural scenery is unique. With the increase of altitude, the vegetation changes greatly. The mountain is high and the road is dangerous. I admire that ancient China developed the road to the top. I admire the ability of ancient humans to conquer nature. Because it has not been developed, you need to bring your own dry food. Qingliang Temple, Zushi Temple, Guanyin Rock, and Jinding have supplies, but the hygiene and food are very poor (relative to city people). It is good for hikers to fill their stomachs. There is a housekeeper on the top of the mountain in spring, summer and autumn. It costs 10 yuan to bring your own tent, 30 yuan to stay in Jinding Temple, and 60 yuan for the big holiday. You can also roast fire in the kitchen at night. There is a solar energy on the top of the mountain for roasting fire. The accommodation is poor in hygiene. It is best to bring your own tent. The toilet is also very poor, and even needs to be solved in the open air. Please forgive the lack of development. Moreover, at such a high altitude, it is good to have a house to shelter from the wind and rain. The maximum wind speed at night can reach seven or eight levels. If you are lucky, you can see the sunrise, sea of clouds, and Buddha's light. It is best not to feed the monkeys, otherwise they will be easily attacked by monkeys. Water resources are scarce on the top of the mountain, so you must bring your own. Currently, garbage is seriously littered. Please pack it in bags and bring it down the mountain, or put it together on the top of the mountain and ask the housekeeper to burn it. It is best not to go there in summer, as there are many landslides and mudslides. Also, bring your own cold medicine.

I went there once during the New Year's Day holiday in 2016, but it was just for sightseeing. I didn't make any preparations and didn't know how high the mountain was. I came down at the Zushi Temple. On October 28, I mustered up my courage and went out with 12 people, including three women and a fat man, at 3:30 in the afternoon. There was nothing to see along the way. Since we set out late, it was dark halfway. We used flashlights and the fastest one reached the top at 21:45 at night, and the slowest one reached the top at 23:00. Fortunately, we saw the sunrise, the sea of clouds and snow, and the scenery on the top of Taizicheng. It was really beautiful. We went down the mountain at 8:30 on the 29th. There was a jog on the way at 15:10. It took us four and a half hours. I was very tired and my legs hurt. The living and accommodation were extremely poor, so if you are afraid of hardship, you don't have to go. There are food and accommodation on the way and on the top. The accommodation is a dormitory bed, and the food is usually boiled noodles. It costs 10 yuan halfway up the mountain and 15 on the top. It costs 60 to stay there. You can set up a tent. After mid-November, you need professional equipment. It will be very dangerous. The ice on the road is very thick, and there is a cliff next to it.

The road is in bad condition. Other things are OK. It is being repaired again. No tickets are available at the moment.

By Carving time |

Mark it first, the scenery is super beautiful, and write a comment when you have time.

: Give it four stars. Anyway, I was lucky the first time I went there. I saw the starry sky at night, and the sea of clouds and sunrise the next morning as I wished. There was an uncle who cooked for us upstairs, and of course we helped him. He told us that many people went there three or four times, and it was always raining, and they didn't see the sunrise and the sea of clouds. Their luck was super bad, so in comparison, we were still lucky. Along the way, there were green mountains and clear waters, high mountains and long roads, and the roads were dangerous. You climbed from one mountain to another. If you want to exercise and have an adventure, you might as well come here and have a try. In fact, what I gained from this trip was that I had broadened my horizons. This was the first time I saw the sea of clouds and the sunrise, and I also got a good workout (although my physical fitness is still good, I usually like sport). The only shortcoming is that I didn't know this place well before I came, and I didn't look up its history and culture. In fact, the meaning of travel is not how much scenery you see along the way, nor whether you reach your intended destination, nor how many photos you take, nor whether you leave footprints here. I think the purpose of travel is the change of your state of mind and the rich experience during the trip. This is travel. I hope this can help you.

Jiufeng Mountain is located in Dabao Township in the northwest of Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. After the earthquake, the scenic area has not been redeveloped and no tickets are required for the time being. But the mountain road is difficult to walk, and basically all the way is uphill. There is no special accommodation on the mountain. There is a Taoist temple on the top of the mountain, which can only accommodate more than 10 camping tents. But if you are lucky, you can see the sunrise and sea of clouds on the top of the mountain, and the stars at night. It is like a fairyland, very magnificent.

Friends who like outdoor hiking can bring their own equipment to the mountain (it is best to form a group). The transportation is also relatively convenient. You can take the train from Chengdu to Pengzhou, and then take a bus or charter a car to the foot of Jiufeng Mountain.

By Warm meeting |

It was a very meaningful trip, but there were some shortcomings (sea of clouds and sunrise). I hope I won't be disappointed next time.

By A free-spirited boy |

This mountain is suitable for beginner hikers. The mountain road has not been repaired after the earthquake and the road condition is poor. There is only one mountain road, so you generally won't go wrong.

By NITE |

The chance of sunrise over the sea of clouds and starry sky is high! Good accessibility.

Keep your heart toward the sunshine and give yourself a thumbs up!

The original tourist attraction has become a wild mountain after the earthquake, but it can't resist my enthusiasm. As an amateur hiker, I tried twice and was forced to go down the mountain due to time constraints. From an altitude of 1300 to an altitude of 2500, although I didn't reach the top, it still tests my endurance. It is worth going in winter. After all, it takes hard work to see the beautiful snow scenery. I will try to conquer it during the Chinese New Year.

The first section of the road was very bad, and the road behind was icy, so crampons were needed.

An unforgettable trip for five girls. We went as soon as we wanted. It was early December. We were very excited. In the end, four of us reached the summit, but one did not. It took seven hours to climb up the mountain and five hours to descend. The sweat we shed along the way was worth it. When you reach the top of the mountain, you feel so refreshed. It was raining, but the road was a bit slippery, so it was quite dangerous to go down the mountain. In short, this trip was the most unforgettable.

By The world you don't know |

I went there alone. I got up at 6 o'clock to catch the bus. I started climbing the mountain at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and climbed until 9 o'clock in the evening. I went down the mountain after watching the sunrise.

For a southerner like me, it was my first time seeing ice on trees, and I was very excited! The snow scene on the mountain really made our trip worthwhile!

Many friends told me that I should go to Jiufeng Mountain. Seeing Jiufeng Mountain in the past deeply attracted me, so I finally switched to Jiufeng Mountain. I originally thought that my junior and I would go to Jiufeng Mountain alone, but in the end, Youlu wanted to join us. Xiao Yang, who was originally going to Xiling, was also deeply attracted by Jiufeng Mountain because of what I was talking about. She brought her brother Xiao Xiaoyang and bought equipment to join us. I met Tingting at Rabbit Outdoor, and she brought her friend Dandan to follow us to climb Jiufeng Mountain.

Jiufeng gradually regained its popularity in the past four years

Attracting more and more pilgrims and tourists

Jiufeng is worthy of being called "the crown of all mountains in Pengzhou"

Two months later, I climbed the Nine Peaks again and saw a completely different scene. It was foggy then, but this time, I saw fog, snow, and sunshine on the same day.

By Madman on the road |

I felt a little regretful that I couldn’t reach the summit this time. The monk said that we should go again when the mountains are full of rhododendrons in bloom. It will be very beautiful at that time.

By Small-Q |

I climbed Jiufeng Mountain alone. The snow on the mountain was very thick and the temperature was very low. When I arrived at Guanyin Rock, my hair was covered with icicles and my hands were numb from the cold, so I didn't dare to walk further towards Jinding.

Jiufeng Mountain is located in Dabao Township in the northwest of Pengzhou, about 97 kilometers away from Chengdu City, with an altitude of 3,315 meters. It is the highest of all mountains in Pengzhou, a sacred and mysterious area, and a place shared by Taoism and Buddhism. Ancient pilgrims said that those who are not sincere often encounter wind, rain, thunder and lightning, and cannot survive or die a good death.

On the top of the peak is the Leiyin Temple, which was built during the Tianqi period of the Ming Dynasty. On sunny days, you can see the sunrise, sea of clouds, and Buddha's light, and on cloudy days, you can see the wonder of "waterfall clouds".

By Mr. Bean |

There is no entrance fee, and it is quiet with few people. If you are lucky, you can see beautiful scenery such as the sea of clouds, Buddha light, and sunrise on the top of the mountain. It is suitable for camping on the top. The climbing intensity index is moderate, and a beginner can reach the top in 6-7 hours.
