Lushan Scenic Area

Lushan is like a park in the local area, and many locals go there. The ticket price is affordable, the shuttle bus is 2 yuan one way, and the ticket is 3 yuan (it is recommended to take the shuttle bus). The main entrance is where the shuttle bus gets off. You can basically see the panoramic view of Qionghai Lake at Lushan. It is not recommended to bring children and friends who cannot be frightened, because... The monkeys in Lushan are super hooligans, no different from robbers. After seeing the monkeys in Lushan and then looking at the monkeys in Luoji Mountain, they are like aristocrats among monkeys. If you want to go to Lushan to see monkeys, pay attention to the following points:

1. After entering the main gate, there are many vendors. Buy a bamboo stick (for self-defense). Choose a slightly thicker one and tap it vertically on the ground twice. You want one that makes a loud sound. But please do not actively use the bamboo stick to attack the monkeys.

2. Don’t feed the monkeys;

3. Keep all bags closed (food should not be exposed);

4. Do not hold drinks or pockets in your hands;

5. Don’t make eye contact with the old monkey;

6. The monkey came up to ask for food and slowly spread out his hands to indicate that there was no food.

To summarize the above points, my trouser pocket was touched by an old monkey, my cell phone was almost touched, my second hand was also touched..., my sister was scratched, and there were two marks on her two hands.

The vegetation of Lushan Mountain is not as rich as that of Luoji Mountain. The monkeys on the mountain have sparse and dark fur. They will snatch anything they see. Lushan monkeys: They mainly eat peanuts and other fruits given by tourists. They will snatch the tourists' mineral water, drinks and bags. Luoji Mountain monkeys: They eat fruits and only snatch the tourists' drinks. They will not drink mineral water.

Having said the monkeys, let's talk about the scenery. The scenery of Lushan is average, but you can see Qionghai Lake, which is nice. There are many temples on the mountain, but they are not very big, and many are under renovation. If you want to walk to the top of the mountain, it will take 4-5 hours to walk up and down. Friends who are short of time can choose not to go. There is a parking lot at the entrance of the mountain, which is not very big. The price is cheap, 5 yuan per time for small cars and 6 yuan per time for large cars. There are several parking lots across the road, some are 5 yuan per time, and some are 10 yuan for 2 hours, plus 3 yuan per hour.

Recommended itinerary for friends who travel to Xichang for two days

1. The first day is Luoji Mountain and the 99 hot springs of Luoji Mountain.

You should go to Luoji Mountain early and make sure you get down the mountain before 5 o'clock (cable car), then go to Luoji Mountain Jiujiu Hot Spring (more than 50 kilometers, 1 hour journey), the hot spring is open until 12 o'clock in the evening;

2. The next day: Qionghai Lake (Qionghai Lake is less than 10 kilometers away from Xichang)

Lushan Mountain and Qionghai Lake are only one street apart. First, go to the viewing platform halfway up Lushan Mountain to overlook the panoramic view of Qionghai Lake. There is a quiet temple halfway up the mountain. Everything around is quiet and the soul feels baptized. There are many wild monkeys on Lushan Mountain, and I heard from passers-by that you can't get too close because the monkeys are aggressive. You can't bring snacks up the mountain because they will snatch your snacks. Everyone must be careful.

The ticket to Lushan Mountain is 3 yuan, and the observation deck on the top of the mountain is 5 yuan, but there are telescopes and karaoke. It was the first time for me to sing on the top of the mountain, so I sang alone. It is already a very conscientious scenic spot.

The Lushan Lookout is about 2,200 meters above sea level. It takes 1.5 hours to reach the top of the mountain, and it takes 2 hours for most people. There is an altitude record monument before the top of the mountain, 2,000 meters above sea level, and then the last section of the road to the top is a continuous uphill climb, with an altitude increase of 200 meters.

Located opposite the "Moonlight Town" in Xichang. Tickets are required. We did not enter. We went to the Moon Goddess Statue on the opposite side of Qionghai Lake. There is no ticket to go down to see Qionghai Lake.

Although their religious rules and philosophical thoughts are different, they can live in harmony in a mountain for thousands of years and spread their own religions. This is rare and unique in the country. You can see the panoramic view of Qionghai Lake on Lushan Mountain. The entrance fee to Lushan Mountain starts from the middle of the mountain. I climbed very high at that time and thought I was already in the Lushan Scenic Area. It was not until I returned to the foot of the mountain and saw many monkeys in my friend’s photos that I realized that I had not entered the scenic area (the paid area). Its gate is next to Guangfu Temple and the ticket is 20. If you don’t want to see the monkeys, there is really no need to go in. You have already walked half of the mountain, haha! It only takes half an hour to walk down from Lushan Mountain. Its mountain gate is next to the Yuexia Fengqing Town.

The monkeys in Lushan are the most ferocious of all the monkeys I have seen in so many places. So those who go to Lushan to see monkeys must be careful.

In fact, the monkey seems to be very well-behaved when it is quiet, but once it sees food or something like a bottle in your hand, it will rush up to grab it in an instant.

The highest point of Lushan Mountain - the observation tower, with an altitude of 2,317 meters, you can see the panoramic view of the entire Xichang city and the panoramic view of Qionghai Lake. You can also use binoculars to see anywhere. It costs 5 yuan per person. I roughly calculated that it takes about 2-3 hours to climb from Guangfu Temple at the foot of the mountain to here.

The foot of Lushan Mountain actually feels very good, but the higher you go, the less unique and refreshing it becomes. The only thing left is the view of Qionghai Lake and the city. The last half an hour of the journey to the top of the mountain is on the top of a bald mountain that has caught fire. The brick house on the top is the worst. It's a small mountain, but the monkeys are rampant, which makes people feel helpless.

A famous mountain in Xichang, opposite the Moonlight Town, overlooking the entire Qionghai Lake, it is very spectacular. Another happy thing is the eldest brother on the mountain. I heard from the inn owner that the monkeys on the mountain would steal food from tourists. I specially prepared fruits for the eldest brother in advance. At first, I couldn't see any, but along the way up the mountain, I found a very alert one. I put a small orange on the ground for it from a distance. Soso moved very quickly and went to take it. He ate happily and shouted. I guess he was calling friends. Soon, several more came. The food that my husband hid was divided up in a short while. . . It was very lively and interesting. But I remind everyone to be careful. Monkeys will pounce on tourists to grab food and block the road to prevent pedestrians from passing. We have seen the skills of the eldest brother along the way, and I am a little scared.

Tickets and sightseeing buses are cheap, but please note that they are only one-way tickets. You need to buy them again for the return trip. A corner of Lushan Mountain. The scenery of Lushan Mountain is not very good, but it is still a good choice for just climbing. When we arrived at Ganhaizi, the boss who ate jelly was very nice and enthusiastic. There were also hammocks for rest. Those who were ready to go to the top of the mountain could rest here and prepare to continue. To be honest, the scenery on the top of the mountain was average. The viewing platform was 5 yuan per person. Fat children's shoes still didn't go up because they couldn't get on the viewing platform. It is recommended not to be so close when taking pictures of the little monkey. I went out to climb at 9:30 in the morning. The sun was very strong, but the shade was very cool.

The main peak of Lushan Mountain (Shamaoxiang) is 2,317 meters above sea level, about 800 meters above the sea level of Qionghai Lake. It takes about eight kilometers to climb from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. It was the breakfast time for the monkeys. These monkeys came whistling and ran everywhere, which was really cute. We did not reach the top of the mountain. Halfway up the mountain, we entered a Guanyin Pavilion and toured inside and outside, and then visited a Taoist temple nearby. It was really beautiful to see Qionghai Lake and the surrounding lakes and mountains from the mountain.

There were quite a lot of monkeys. If you were carrying something, they would come and grab it. So I didn’t climb to the top and was scared down by the monkeys.

Climb up the Wanghai Tower and look into the distance. Surrounded by green mountains on three sides and a city on one side, you can see a lake of clear water, rippling waves and cloud shadows, which complement each other and are pleasing to the eye.

Next to the Main Hall is a Nine-Dragon Cypress tree that is over 2,000 years old. Its vigorous branches are like a dragon about to take flight, which is shocking. A sign says that it is one of the top ten tree kings in Sichuan.

Behind the Zushi Hall is the place with the most monkeys in Lushan. The monkeys are sitting on big trees or swinging on vines. Many half-grown monkeys are sitting on the stone railings beside the walking path, and they often receive food thrown by tourists. They have different expressions. Some of them keep scratching their bodies with their hands, and some little monkeys lie in the arms of their mothers and act like a spoiled child. Half-grown monkeys are the least afraid of people. They make faces and tease tourists to throw monkey food. Some even run over to ask for food when they see tourists approaching. Tourists are not stingy and throw peanuts and biscuits to these monkeys. The monkeys accurately catch the peanuts thrown to them, which is very cute.

It forms a system with Qionghai Lake. The air on the mountain is better and there are more wild animals. It is recommended to climb the mountain in the morning and visit the Qionghai wetland system in the afternoon.

25 years ago, this was a small state-owned steel mill. 15 years ago, it became a joint-stock cooperative. The main shares were sold to private owners. The scale was greatly expanded. It was equipped with advanced equipment and technology at that time. It was very prosperous for a while and was profitable before it was stopped. This year, it was sold back to the state and stopped production in order to return a piece of clean land and blue sky. After the reform and update, it was actually in production for only 13 years. Everything has become a ruin. I think it must not be a good business.

She said, "Are you going to Xichang?" The monkeys on Lushan Mountain in Xichang were transported from Baoguo Temple. We transported more than 2,000 monkeys. Hahahaha~~~

There is a very popular Guangfo Temple on the mountain. The locals are very religious and repeatedly told me to step in with my right foot when entering the temple, and to step in with my right foot when leaving the temple. There is a 2000-year-old Han cypress in the temple, as well as the largest bronze statue of Guanyin holding hands in Sichuan.

In fact, Lushan seems to require a 5 yuan ticket, but when I went there, there was no one there, so I didn't pay. The road up the mountain is still quite steep.
