The weather on the plateau changes quickly. It was still sunny in the afternoon. When we arrived in Xinduqiao in the evening, it started to rain. In the morning, the mountaintops after the rain were particularly fresh, with clouds and mist lingering on the mountaintops, and everything looked so lush! It felt a bit like the empty mountain after the rain! There were Tibetan characters engraved everywhere on the mountaintops, which should be the six-character mantra, which looked very magical and spectacular! In June, Xinduqiao is the romantic time for mountain flowers in the fields! Large patches of wild flowers in the fields are so beautiful that they make people intoxicated! It is so beautiful that people linger back and forth! Typical Tibetan villages are scattered on both sides of the road, leaning against the mountains and rivers, and a shallow river meanders along the road. The legendary photography paradise, Xinduqiao is like a paradise on earth! We danced happily on the hillside behind the town of Xinduqiao, and watched my husband, who had a high fever and headache all night, fly so high! I completely forgot the discomfort brought to everyone by the altitude reaction!

Everyone knows that Xinduqiao is known as the "Photographer's Paradise", but few people know where the beauty of Xinduqiao lies. If you just take a quick look and stop to take pictures, you may be disappointed. The following pictures are just a few of the small scenes we took of Xinduqiao. As long as you are willing and as long as you like this place, you can also find the real "Photographer's Paradise".

The world of light and shadow. Tourists going to Daocheng basically rest here on the first night. In winter, the grass turns yellow, and the yaks struggle to find grass to eat. The herds of cattle here are already large in winter. Although the grass turns yellow, the weather is very good, with blue sky and white clouds. The farmers here mainly make a living by raising yaks. Yaks are an important economic crop on the plateau. If a yak is killed, it will cost tens of thousands of yuan. They walk around them all the way. Yaks are also an important transportation capacity. Xinduqiao Town is not large, with only dozens of households. Most of them are from other places who come here to open hotels. I didn’t meet many people after walking around the town. Except for the hotel owner, this place is an empty city during the Chinese New Year. Because there are few tourists, many hotels simply close down. I just like to travel to places with few people, because the city where I usually live is the most populous city in the world. The last thing I want to see is "people", so when I go on vacation, I send myself to the mountains to find a quiet place. The gurgling stream nourishes one side. The Tibetan characters written on the meadows on the mountain are like crop circles, full of mystery. When we arrived at Xinduqiao Town, where a burst of machine guns could not hit a single person, we occasionally met a Tibetan brother on a motorcycle who greeted us warmly. It was also rare to see a living person. We had yak beef hotpot for dinner, which was 188 yuan for a large portion. The price was not cheap but the portion was large. The driver ate with us, and the three of us ate until we were full. The yak beef tasted relatively soft, just like its character.

Of course, we didn't see the snowy mountains due to the thick clouds.

But now Xinduqiao has been overdeveloped by people, and there are new hotels and inns everywhere. The grassland has faded, the poplar forest has been cut down, and the beautiful nature has been deprived of its most beautiful appearance. It is really "Success is due to Xiao He, and failure is also due to Xiao He!" It is not easy to find such a poplar forest, which is still worth seeing.

~I have been to Xinduqiao so many times, and every time I arrived, it was sunny, except for one time, in late summer and early autumn, when it snowed~and kept falling with no sign of stopping. It snowed all night~In the early morning, we used the snow in the car to build a rabbit snowman on the spot, and then a car full of people set off with a rabbit in front~The trees in early October were still green, but at this moment they were covered with pure white clothes. Because of the thickness of the snowflakes, they fell from time to time, hitting the ground with a clatter, like a dancing music, without any sadness~And the people in the car were also cheering for the ink painting-like snow scene on the plateau.

It was already afternoon when we arrived at Xinduqiao. The sun was shining brightly after the heavy snow. The snow on the mountain reflected a light blue light, outlining the clear outline of Xinduqiao.

Walking along the highway, you can see photography-themed hotels of all sizes, and tourists in groups of three or four carrying SLR cameras or drones. Xinduqiao has already become a commercial town with the development of tourism.

We originally wanted to stay in the hotel and then go around the area, but Xinduqiao was not very welcoming to us. The whole town had a power outage! Even if some hotels had engines, the huge noise made people feel uncomfortable.

Along the Xinduqiao route, there are beautiful streams, Tibetan villages, plateaus, cattle and sheep! It is known as a photographer's paradise! If it is sunny, it will be so beautiful to take pictures! Hateful rainy days... Along the way, you can often see the Tibetan six-character mantra made of stones on the mountains~ Looking around, there are green grasslands and tall mountains, as well as low stone houses and cattle pens on the grass slopes, what a Nordic pasture scenery!

A transit station with good scenery. The photos taken in the morning and evening when the light is good are very beautiful. There is an observation deck where you can see Mount Gongga when the weather is clear.

The tour of Xinduqiao is not fixed, you can stop and go as you please. Xinduqiao, known as the "paradise for photographers", starts from Kangding City and drives along National Highway 318 to Xinduqiao Town. You can stop and go as you please, and pull over when you see beautiful scenery. Here you can take pictures of endless meadows, winding streams, cattle and sheep foraging on the hillsides, and Tibetan villages scattered at the foot of the mountain. You can take beautiful pictures of the scenery with just a click of the shutter. So how to play in Xinduqiao? There are no fixed points and standards. You can stop and take pictures wherever you like.

Entering Kangding County, on the way to Daocheng Yading, we rested for one night in Xinduqiao. The altitude here is about 3000+, which is actually not bad.

Tibet Xiangxue Hotel is very beautiful, the service staff are very nice, and many of the girls are really beautiful.

It is said that many leaders have stayed here, including Comrade Wang Yang, who is familiar to Guangdong people. It is said that when the leaders visited, they thought the hotel was well done, so they asked to use it as a benchmark to build more hotels to entertain guests from all over the world.

The hotel facilities are complete, clean and comfortable. It is recommended.

I would rather go to Guanyin Bridge than Xinduqiao, but because of mudslides, I can only go to Xinduqiao and cross Zheduo Mountain, which is worth it. The scenery is beautiful, and there are basically hotels along the way. It is very suitable to take pictures of Xinduqiao on the way to Gongga Mountain Observation Deck. Be sure to prepare sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses.

I came to Xinduqiao from Danba. After passing the Yala Snow Mountain, the scenery and people on both sides are very different. The locals in Xinduqiao are hard to talk to. Even if you take a taxi to take pictures of cows on the roadside, they will ask for 5 yuan. If you ask more, they will be angry. Tagong Grassland charges a fee. To be honest, it is not as beautiful as the grassland on the mountain I passed by. It is not worth it. The Yala Snow Mountain in Xinduqiao is ok. There are many special villages on the road in Danba. There is no need to spend that much money. I took pictures of the scenery passing by. The mountains in Danba are dangerous and the roads are winding.

It's a photography paradise. If you have time, you must come in autumn.

But it is different for those who like photography. The blue sky and white clouds, Tibetan architecture, farmers and herdsmen working, cattle and sheep everywhere, undulating mountains, snow-capped mountains and grasslands, ancient temples, and changing light and shadows have all the elements you want.

Rather than saying that Xinduqiao is a paradise for photographers, it is better to say that it is a "bridge" connecting various beautiful scenery.

There are parking areas on the road, so you can stop and take photos at any time. If Siguniang Mountain is magnificent, then the direction of Xinduqiao is vast.

In the evening, we stayed in Xinduqiao Town, a paradise for photography enthusiasts. We stayed in Xinduqiao Town to enjoy the sunset and sunrise of the sacred Gongga Snow Mountain. At 7:00 in the morning, before dawn, I had already climbed to the top of the mountain to watch the sunrise. In fact, whether we can finally see the brilliance of the sunrise is not very important. The most important thing is this sense of ritual for our pursuit of dreams.

I feel that Xinduqiao in autumn is a bit like Kanas in Xinjiang, with mountains and rivers as the background, herds of yaks scattered all over the hillside grassland like small black dots, and golden leaves rustling in the autumn wind. All of this is put together into a picture under the photographer's lens.

Our photography skills are not even good enough to capture the beauty of Xinduqiao.

Xinduqiao in Kangding is a place known to many people. They say it is a paradise for photographers. The Tibetans living in paradise showed us friendly smiles. They picked apples from the apple trees in the yard and gave them to us who were salivating outside the yard wall. The plateau apples are not big, but they are red, very sweet and fragrant. The symbol of Xinduqiao, the small bridge, flowing water, trees and snow-capped mountains, is simply a postcard. No wonder it is called a photography paradise. The photos are very artistic, and tranquility, comfort and rural countryside are all included in it. The only thing missing is the yellowing trees in late autumn.

Xinduqiao Photography Paradise does not actually refer to a place or a scenic spot, but to the beautiful scenery along a road. This road is from Xinduqiao Town to Zheduo Mountain. This is also the most beautiful section of our 318-minute self-driving trip. The beautiful scenery on both sides makes self-driving more motivated.

At this moment, the only sentence that comes to my mind is "the sky is vast, the wilderness is boundless, the wind blows the grass low and the cattle and sheep can be seen", which is the most appropriate to describe everything in front of me.

It is a picturesque paradise, the beauty here can even "burn" your eyes.

Only when you come here can you experience the world of light and shadow; here, you can take great photos and satisfy your passion as a photographer; here, you can become an excellent model just by striking a pose.

It is extremely pleasant to sit around the campfire at night, drink beer, eat skewers, listen to folk songs, and watch Tibetan dances.

I really wanted to stay in Xinduqiao that night to enjoy the sunset of Xinduqiao, but considering that it is best to stay at a relatively low altitude on the first night in the plateau, I continued to move forward.

In early spring in Xinduqiao, the air is filled with the scent of spring. Unfortunately, my stay was short and the weather was gloomy, so I didn’t get to appreciate the beauty of light and shadow.

Looking from a high place, you can see a vast expanse of white snow-capped mountains in the distance, connecting with the sky and the earth, with winding roads dotted among them. All of this gives people a sense of vicissitudes of life, as if the long river of history has stopped at this moment. This scene will be unforgettable for a lifetime.

In recent years, Xinduqiao has become one of the destinations where tourists strongly request to stay for one night due to its fame. The evening and morning here are the best times for photography. When the weather is good, you can see the King of Sichuan Mountains, Gongga Snow Mountain, from afar!

Clouds chase each other, mountains face each other, and houses are connected. Under the clear blue sky, when you come out of the clouds, you will feel the vastness of the world and feel refreshed.

Six best photography spots in Xinduqiao

1. After coming down from Zheduo Mountain, it is next to the village on a wide bend;

3. From the intersection of Yingjiu Highway, go along 318 for 1 km to the hillside;

4. 7 km from Yingjiu Highway towards Kowloon;

As the best viewing point in Xinduqiao is under construction, we can only walk along the roadside. There are Tibetan villages scattered among them, and cattle, sheep and horses are grazing. There were more people, more cars, more hotels, and it became bigger and noisier. My brain was working quickly, trying to find the image in my memory.

The natural beauty of Xinduqiao is really great, especially in July and August when the flowers are in full bloom. The town is currently undergoing landscape renovation and various public services are constantly being improved, but I still like the beauty of nature.
