Xianyu Cave is located in a natural rock cavity on the cliffs of the Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea. It is known as the "Pearl of the Bamboo Sea" for its excellent natural and cultural landscapes.
Xianyu Cave is deep and dangerous, with only a winding and steep stone staircase leading to the cave. Above the cave is a vast bamboo forest, and below the cave is a bamboo sea canyon.
There is also a temple in Xianyu Cave. The Monk Hall is where the ashes of successive abbots are stored after their death. There is a stone pagoda and 15 urns inside.

Xianyu Cave is known as the "Pearl of the Bamboo Sea" for its excellent natural and cultural landscapes. It is located in the steep cliff of Caieryan in the Xianyu Cave Scenic Area in the southern part of Shunan Bamboo Sea in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is a must-see place when visiting Shunan Bamboo Sea.
Xianyu Cave is known as the "Pearl of the Bamboo Sea" for its excellent natural and cultural landscape. It is located in the steep cliff of Caier Rock in the Xianyu Cave Scenic Area in the south of Shunan Bamboo Sea in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is a must-see place when visiting Shunan Bamboo Sea.
Although Xianyudong is not very long, it shows the key points of the characteristics of southern Sichuan.
Xianyu Cave, nestled on a precipice within the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, is a highlight of any visit to the Bamboo Sea. Above the cave lies a vast bamboo forest, and below, a grand canyon, offering breathtaking views both from afar and up close. Furthermore, the cave is home to a cave temple nestled against the rock face, serving as a site for both Buddhist and Taoist practices. The remaining buildings were largely rebuilt in the 1990s, giving it a somewhat historic feel. Xianyu Cave has two entrances and exits: the East Gate, which leads from the Bamboo Sea Mountain to the Buddhist Monk Hall, and the South Gate, which leads from the Bamboo Sea Grand Canyon to the Taoist Laojun Hall. While the cave is not primarily for the temple, it offers a great photo opportunity for photographing the Bamboo Sea. Along the cliffs of Xianyu Cave, visitors can also visit Tianbao Village.
Xianyudong, with its several-hundred-meter-long corridor built halfway up the mountain, is quite a sight, but Wangyou Valley is more picturesque. However, I'd especially caution against the traditional Chinese medicine vendors near the incense burning area of Xianyudong. When tourists pass by, some "trolls" pretend to be tourists and bargain, recommending wild Gastrodia elata for two yuan a gram. They then try to trick you into buying it, grinding it into powder and then selling it at exorbitant prices. It's best to avoid buying, as I've been scammed myself. My point is, young men deceiving people in front of the Buddha are wasting their blessings. Don't you know?
The guide and the monk teamed up to ask me to worship Buddha, burn incense, and light lamps, and cheated me out of 200 yuan. I have no good feelings at all. It's a rubbish scenic spot.
A very ordinary hole. Let's first improve public facilities and safety.
It is connected to Tianbao Village and it is difficult to distinguish the areas. It is very steep. Because there are stone guardrails, it does not feel thrilling, but this place is built in a unique way. There are vendors selling wild delicacies on the roadside.
Very beautiful, magnificent, and spectacular! Such a beautiful view on the cliff. Worth a visit.
The scenery is beautiful, but the road is difficult to walk on and some places are very dangerous.
Very beautiful, I like caves like this, it's like traveling through time.
It is very unique and is the most famous local classic. It is surrounded by bamboo sea and the air and scenery are very good. It is worth a visit and highly recommended.
If only life could be like the first time we met...
There is a corridor on the mountain wall, and there is a temple inside.
Known as the "Pearl of the Bamboo Sea" for its stunning natural and cultural landscapes, Xianyu Cave is located within the steep cliffs of Caier Rock in the Xianyu Cave Scenic Area, south of the Shunan Bamboo Sea in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is a must-see destination for visitors to the area. The area boasts winding mountains and dramatic cliffs. To reach Xianyu Cave, one ascends a cliffside path over a hundred meters to the entrance. The cave, 15 meters high and approximately 10 meters deep, houses over 40 stone Buddha and Taoist statues.
There's nothing interesting to see, just caves and lots of litter.
Dirty, messy, and mediocre scenery. Residents set up stalls everywhere, and garbage is everywhere.
I went there in September. The weather was neither too hot nor too cold that day. It was almost noon when I arrived at this attraction. The scenery was beautiful, but I felt like I didn't have the energy to take pictures of myself.
When I asked for directions, I thought it was Fairy Cave, but when I got closer, I saw it was Fairy Residence Cave.
The scenery is beautiful and the view is great, it is worth a visit.
If you have time, you can go for a walk, the environment is nice...
You have to climb up and down the mountain all the way, but the scenery along the way is still good. It is ten thousand times more interesting than the Fairy Lake.
Known as the "Pearl of the Bamboo Sea" for its stunning natural and cultural landscapes, Xianyu Cave is located amidst the steep cliffs of Caier Rock in the Xianyu Cave Scenic Area, south of the Shunan Bamboo Sea in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It's a must-see destination for visitors to the area. The area boasts winding hills and sheer cliffs.
A section of the plank road along Danxia Mountain offers views of vast expanses of red rock. Beneath the mountain lies a vast expanse of bamboo forest and fertile fields. After rain, small waterfalls flow down the mountainside, creating a truly spectacular sight, especially during foggy days when you can see a sea of clouds. A sculpture depicting the Thirty-Six Stratagems carved into the cliff face beside the plank road is quite low-brow and seemingly unnecessary. There's no special scenery here; it's just a walk along the plank road, taking in the scenery. The walk passes through many narrow paths and mountain roads, which is a real test of your stamina.
Xianyu Cave is a Buddhist holy place with a profound cultural heritage and beautiful scenery. After walking through Xianyu Cave, you will reach the back gate of Tianbao Village.
The green is full and the fresh green is great.
Xianyu Cave is a more distinctive landscape in the bamboo sea. It is located halfway up the mountain with a wide view and is shrouded in mist, making you feel like you are in a fairyland.
The whole walk takes a long time, with some uphill climbs, but the scenery is really nice.
The terrain is dangerous, and the temples where Buddhism and Taoism coexist have beautiful scenery from a distance, with green all around and a refreshing feeling.
There is fairy air, hahahahaha, it's fog, it depends on the weather
A very favorite scenic spot, with winding paths and mountain streams
Hanging halfway up the mountain, the road is long and steep, but there are many food stalls along the way.
It's really great!! But many people don't go because they think it's difficult to walk. You have to consider the weather when you go. If it's clear, there will be a sea of clouds, and you can see far!
Even after arriving, I still couldn't tell which was which. But I figured if I walked towards the Buddha statue, I'd reach Xianyu Cave. I don't have any particular religious beliefs, so I wasn't impressed by this kind of architecture. I just admired the incredible effort the builders put into creating it.
The environment is super good, the air is fresh, and there are many people
Xianyu Cave is my favorite part of the entire Shunan Bamboo Sea. In fact, Xianyu Cave is not a cave at all. There is a plank road built along the cliff, which is quite thrilling. There are also many temples nearby.
Very beautiful place, highly recommended, everyone had a great time
Xianyu Cave is one of the most important scenic spots in Bamboo Sea. I think it is integrated with Tianbao Village. They are all corridors on the cliff, with rich cultural landscapes.
The Shunan Bamboo Sea is a vast bamboo forest, with green everywhere you look.
Yibin, Changning, Shunan Bamboo Sea, Xianyu Cave, is located in the natural rock cavity on the cliff of Shunan Bamboo Sea.
Because of its excellent natural and cultural landscapes, it is known as the "Pearl of the Bamboo Sea".
The tofu pudding made with bamboo root water (natural mineral water) here is extremely delicious.
The scenery is very nice. Looking down, there are bamboos. The sun hasn't come out yet and the fog hasn't dissipated yet. It feels great.
The fog was too thick, and even the photos were not clear, but the bamboo sea still felt good here.
I admire the power of faith. The Buddha statues are beautifully carved and not crowded.
Xianyu Cave is a must-visit in the morning, as it's less crowded, allowing for more posing opportunities. Furthermore, before sunrise, you can enjoy the beautiful sea of clouds. The entire site is a winding plank road carved into the mountainside, with Xianyu Cave forming part of it. The cave was artificially excavated, only wide enough for one person to pass through, making it a bit intimidating. The bamboo sea is full of water, and a short distance away, you'll find a small waterfall, unnamed and a welcome addition. The plank road connects Xianyu Cave to Tianbao Village. The Xianyu Cave side houses the ancient site, while the Tianbao Village side is a modern replica. So, consider spending an hour exploring Xianyu Cave and 15 minutes exploring Tianbao Village.
Xianyu Cave is not actually a cave, but a half-mountain cave about 500 meters long, with its back against a cliff and its front facing a deep valley. You may not feel it while walking, but the photos you take look very dangerous. This place used to be a cave temple. It was originally a Taoist temple. Later, as Buddhism became popular, the Guanyin Hall and Laojun Hall were built one after another, turning it into a religious place where Buddhism and Taoism coexist.
This is a great place to admire the sea of bamboo. Standing at the entrance of the cave, you can see thousands of bamboos swaying in the wind, and the unique scenery of the sea of bamboo is in full view.
The scenery is still very good, the air is fresh, it is worth a visit.
Very good scenic spot, all walking in the steep, unique scenery
There are many stone carvings in Xianyu Cave, which are quite good.
Located on the left side of the road from the Emerald Corridor to the Xianyu Cave Scenic Area, the Sea in the Sea is the first scenic spot in the scenic area. Covering an area of approximately 60 mu, the lake is spacious and expansive, resembling a "lake" within a vast sea of bamboo, hence the name Sea in the Sea.
Fairy Lake is located on the top of the mountain in Xianyu Cave, and together with Tianbao Village and Xianyu Cave, it forms a tourist loop of the Xianyu Cave Scenic Area.
The wall sculpture of the Thirty-Six Strategies here is walking among the clouds, which is quite artistic.
A place with a fairy-like atmosphere, giving you a floating feeling.
Very beautiful, very beautiful, worth having, hahahahahahahaha, after that, I feel so cool, right?
China is full of fantasy novels, depicting enchanting wonderlands. But for those living in bustling cities, these dreams can only be imagined. Anyone want to experience a real-life wonderland of mountains, clouds, and seas of fog? Well, that's exactly what you're looking for at the Shunan Bamboo Sea. Come and visit! You won't regret it, and you'll also find delicious bamboo fungus!
Xianyu Cave, nestled amidst the sheer cliffs of Cai'er Rock, is accessible only by a single path. Its perilous location reveals a cave temple nestled against the rock face, a site where both Buddhism and Taoism coexist. While some may not be particularly interested in Buddhism or Taoism, this doesn't prevent us from admiring the various Buddha statues carved and carved into the cliff face. This is a perfect fusion of nature and humanity, and the wisdom and initiative of the ancients never cease to amaze us today.
The woods on both sides are very beautiful, and the forest path has a unique flavor. It feels like a fairyland when you are in it.
In the summer, the whole family went out for a car trip! There were quite a lot of people. But it was a great place to beat the heat!
The name sounds mysterious, but when I got there I realized it's just a stone passage! What a lie!
The Emerald Corridor is stunning! When visiting natural beauty spots, it's crucial to choose the right time to visit! Don't wait until the bamboo blooms.
Xianyu Cave in the Shunan Bamboo Sea is a grotto temple built against the mountain and against the rock. It is an excellent combination of natural and cultural landscapes. It is known as the "Pearl of the Bamboo Sea" and is a must-see place when visiting the Shunan Bamboo Sea.
Fortunately, we walked in Xianyu Cave instead of rowing. The bamboo forest in the mist was very fairy-like, and the occasional ray of sunlight in the sky added a lot of beauty.
The area is mainly composed of artificial landscapes, with some historical caves and the newer one being the Dripping Guanyin holding a treasure vase. As we walk towards Liantian Baozhai, we see rock carvings of the Thirty-Six Stratagems on the side of the originally narrow road.
The most famous of the grottoes carved into the mountain is the Dripping Guanyin statue, which is lifelike and complements the surrounding environment.
It is said that this is a Taoist temple, a cave built against the mountain and against the rock. When I came here and saw the big Buddha, I realized that it is a combination of Buddhism and Taoism.
Tianbao Village is built on a cliffside plank road over 1,000 meters long, offering breathtaking scenery. The winding path is enchanting, and the cliff walls are adorned with a unique and spectacular mural depicting the Thirty-Six Stratagems, the longest stone mural complex in China. Looking out over the cliffs, a blanket of emerald green evokes a refreshing coolness, even on a scorching summer day. Thick fog obscures the breathtaking peaks and breathtaking scenery, but strong winds lift the mist and reveal a wondrous spectacle once again.
A key scenic spot in the Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea, the giant Dripping Guanyin is a symbol of the man-made landscape. A plank road leads to Tianbaozhai, where you'll find the Thirty-Six Stratagems carved into stone.
The main building complex is also carved out of the stone wall. The Guanyin Hall inside has existed since the Southern Song Dynasty, and some ancient relics are still preserved. Small waterfalls, ancient buildings, lush forests and bamboos, it seems like another world!
The bamboo here is Phyllostachys pubescens, standing in rows and rows, mountain after mountain, forming a vast sea of bamboo. Though not ostentatious in appearance, its simple presence evokes a sense of tranquility and comfort, inviting one to embrace it and linger. Especially during the scorching summer months, strolling along the bamboo-lined roads, the gentle breeze makes one forget the scorching heat and simply enjoy the cool breeze.
Every step brings a new scene, and there are stories of the Thirty-Six Stratagems, a perfect combination of natural and cultural landscapes!
See more bamboo,
Enough of bamboo,
After looking at the bamboo,
You can go and see Xianyu Cave.
Change of scenery,
Wash your eyes,
That's all.
The air in the Shunan Bamboo Sea is very fresh and the humidity is very comfortable. The scenic area is large, and the crowds disperse after entering, making it more comfortable to play. The bamboo banquet is very light and delicious.
What is a fairyland? When I arrived at the bamboo sea, I really felt that I was in a fairyland. The surroundings were surrounded by mist and the eyes were full of green bamboo. Well, I must go there again after a long time.
Xianyu Cave is a beautiful sight on the cliff in the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area and is well worth a visit.
After getting off the cable car, I thought I had arrived at Tianbao Village, but it wasn't. Visitors first walked down the stairs and arrived at Xianyu Cave.
I went to the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area in Yibin and Changning, Sichuan. Actually, I didn't take many photos of bamboo. Hundreds of shutter clicks were used to take pictures of "Xianyu Cave" and "Tianbao Village".
I'm glad I came here because I just like this feeling.
How to describe it? For example, buildings related to "hanging", historical sites, cliffs, hanging coffins, hanging in the air, suspended, cliff houses, cliff hotels, etc.
As soon as I got off the cable car, the steps leading down to the "Xianyu Cave" were like a maze in the cave, which was very interesting.
Most of the tourists filed down the street, and I squeezed in a corner to wait for the tourists to leave before taking pictures. This tiny section of the journey that had just begun wasted a lot of time.
The styles and terrains of "Xianyu Cave" and "Tianbao Village" are similar, but "Xianyu Cave" is built in the cracks of the cliffs, and more Buddhist statues and shrines related to religion are erected and displayed.
The cliff itself is reddish in color, and the Buddha statues, shrines and many cliff carvings are painted in bright and vivid colors, making it dazzling from a distance.
I don't know much about religion, I just know Buddhism and Taoism.
Now I know that this "Xianyu Cave" is a place of practice for both Buddhism and Taoism, and that the Jade Emperor and Guanyin Bodhisattva are both located here. I just thought it was bright and beautiful, so I was snapping away from every angle.
Although I am an atheist, I still feel that this huge gilded statue of Guanyin is sacred, solemn and amazing.
