Transportation: In the peak season, there are usually N buses departing from Dayi Passenger Transport Center to Xiling Snow Mountain Scenic Area every day. However, summer is the off-season for Xiling Snow Mountain, so there are only one or two buses a day that can go directly to the scenic area. The other N buses only go to Xiling Town and then return. Xiling Town is 18KM away from Xiling Snow Mountain Visitor Center, so you can only share a car or charter a car. There is a bus that goes directly to the back mountain at Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Station, but the frequency is unknown.

Although transportation is not very convenient in the off-season, it also has many advantages. There are not many tourists, it is not noisy and crowded, and there are no long queues for the cable car. Moreover, when I went there, I was lucky because Ctrip was having an off-season promotion. The Riyueping mountain cable car was only 1 yuan round trip, and the discounted price for the ticket + Yuanyangchi cable car round trip booked on Qunar.com was 115 yuan, which is much cheaper than the peak season!

The ticket for the Snow Mountain and the ticket for the Yuanyangchi Cableway are bound together. Because you must take the Yuanyangchi Cableway to enter the scenic area, there is nothing to do at the foot of the mountain without taking the cableway. The upper station of the Yuanyangchi Cableway is just at the mountainside, and the altitude is marked as 2140 meters. Transfer to the transportation bus to Yingxue Square, where there are some man-made attractions to take a look. Then continue to take the Riyueping Cableway to the high mountain area, and the altitude is marked as 3250 meters after getting off the cableway. From here, walk along the wooden plank road for another hour to reach the Yin and Yang world and watch the wonders of the Yin and Yang world.

The upper station of the Riyueping cableway is 3,250 meters above sea level. It is really cold, so you must bring more clothes. The scenic area is quite formal, with small shops and supermarkets where you can buy food and water.

You can stay overnight on the mountain. If you have enough time, it is best to stay overnight on the mountain. You can fully explore most of the attractions in two days.

In fact, it is also a good choice to take the cable car from the back mountain to the top of the mountain, visit the Yin and Yang world, and then go down the mountain from Hongshibao via Yingzui Peak. This way, you can visit all the attractions in the front mountain. After all, going down the mountain is much easier than going up the mountain.

Because of its location and climate, the Baishagang area is often sunny on one side and cloudy on the other, so it is called the Yin-Yang boundary.

Yin Yang Jie is located in Xiling Snow Mountain and is the most mysterious scenic spot. Just the name sounds mysterious. The mountain of Yin Yang Jie is made of a kind of white rock, so it is also called Baishagang. Some places here are very steep, and the ridge is only about 2 meters wide. The rock walls on both sides are as sharp as a knife, so you have to walk very carefully. The west side of the ridge is green with tall and lush trees, while the east side is scorched yellow with short trees. The difference between the two sides of the mountain is so big that it seems like two different worlds of yin and yang. What's even more strange is that the weather on both sides is completely different, just separated by a mountain: the west side of the mountain is sunny and the sky is blue; while the east side of the mountain is shrouded in clouds and mist. Sometimes it rains in the east but the sky is clear in the west, which is amazing. Therefore, folk legends say that there are ghosts stirring up trouble.

Yin Yang Boundary belongs to the Xiling Snow Mountain Scenic Area. It is one of the attractions in the scenic area and can be said to be one of the must-visit places. In good weather conditions, you are likely to experience a different journey, with the ridge of the mountain as the main line. Clouds gather here but will not cross to the other side of the ridge, so it is called "Yin Yang Boundary" by tourists.

On the first day of arriving at Xiling Snow Mountain, we played some snow activities in the afternoon and stayed overnight. On the second day, we took the cable car up the mountain. There was a section of the cable car with amazing scenery. There was very little fog on the mountain, unlike halfway up the mountain. You can see the real-time situation on the mountain at the place where you buy the cable car ticket, and you can decide to buy it according to the situation on the mountain. Anyway, we had a lot of fun on the mountain, haha, because the mountain is a good place to see the scenery, and we also met a lot of squirrels🐿.

We were pretty lucky and saw some sea of ​​clouds and blue sky. The sun ☀ depended on my mood, haha. There is still a little distance from Riyueping to Yinyangjie, and it takes about an hour to walk. If it is really cold, you can go to the bathroom to hide, as there is heating.

Overall, it's not bad. If you come here for the first time, you can consider staying here. Play snow activities on the first day and go up the mountain on the second day. Because the price of the hotel halfway up the mountain is not expensive, we stayed at the Snow Hotel, a standard room for 315 per night.

The strange thing is that after I finished eating, I didn't feel hungry until the afternoon, and I didn't have dinner until 9:30 in the evening. I encountered a wild squirrel. I didn't find a photo of the Yin-Yang boundary from the front. The scenery is absolutely stunning. The same mountain has completely different scenes on both sides. Because it was winter, there was snow on one side, but no snow on the other side, separated by a wall. When my friends saw it, they all dropped their jaws and couldn't stop saying "wow". It's like two poles that can never intersect but rely on each other and never leave each other.

It has been five hours since we set out. The sun is shining brightly... and very hot.
