It starts from Jingang Bridge in Tianjin, flows into Bohai Bay at Dagukou, and runs through the urban area of Tianjin. It is the “Mother River” of Tianjin.
There are many spectacular bridges on the Haihe River, including the Jingang Bridge, the Lion Grove Bridge, the Jintang Bridge, the Beian Bridge, and the Jiefang Bridge.
There are various high-rise buildings and more than 20 historical and cultural buildings on both sides of the river, which are well worth visiting. There are also cruise ship terminals at Tianjin Railway Station, Ancient Culture Street and Dabei Temple where you can board a boat for sightseeing.
Night is a good time to enjoy the Haihe River. The lights on both sides are on and the scenery is very beautiful. We recommend the Tianjin Eye, Tianjin Tower and Tianjin Gate for taking beautiful photos.

The Haihe River (Haihe River system) is the largest river system in North China and one of China's seven major rivers. Located in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Haihe River forms the Haihe River Basin. Its lower reaches, after converging in Tianjin, are known as the Haihe River. The main stream of the Haihe River, also known as the Guhe River, originates from the Jingang Bridge in Tianjin and flows into Bohai Bay at Dagukou. With the Wei River as its source, it is 1,050 kilometers long. Its main stream, extending 76 kilometers below the Jingang Bridge, is narrow and winding. The Haihe River offers stunning night views, and the diverse bridges traversing the river are a major attraction in Tianjin.
It is highly recommended to enjoy the night view along the Haihe River at night. The colorful lights at night give the houses and buildings along the Haihe River a glittering coat, and also illuminate the Haihe River, forming a colorful and beautiful scenery, which fully reflects the international style and elegance of Tianjin as a metropolis!
The Haihe River is the largest river system in North China and has important geographical, economic and cultural significance.
Tianjin is very clean, the Haihe River is very beautiful, and many of Tianjin's tourist attractions are also distributed on both sides of the Haihe River.
It's beautiful at night! But it's not as beautiful as in the photos. I like this scenery the most when I went there last time in cold weather.
It is beautiful to just walk and enjoy the scenery along the way, especially at night.
The Haihe River is the largest river system in North China and one of China's seven great rivers. It stretches 72 kilometers and is narrow, measuring just over a dozen meters in the urban area and over a hundred meters wide at its estuary. The lower reaches of the Nine Rivers are in Tianjin. Every year on March 23rd, the birthday of Mazu, the goddess of the underworld, cultural activities are held.
The Haihe River flows through Tianjin's urban area and empties into the Bohai Sea at Tanggu. The Haihe River system is China's sixth-largest river system, after the Yangtze River, Pearl River, Heilongjiang River, Huaihe River, and Yellow River. While the skyscrapers along Tianjin's Haihe River might be a pleasant sight for those in smaller northern areas, those in southern water towns or larger cities might not be impressed.
Tianjin is also a city that never sleeps, just like Shanghai.
Tianjin's iconic attractions, the birthplace of folk customs!!!
On the night of the Spring Festival, the temperature was minus 7 or 8 degrees Celsius and the river was frozen. My hands were cold when taking pictures, but the night view was beautiful!
A very important urban river in Tianjin. There are many bridges along the river, many of which are classic.
It's quite good, in front of the East Station (Tianjin Station). If you're bored parking, you can just sit here and relax. For details, you can read my travel notes, which have a detailed description.
The night view is really great. It is a very recommended place.
The scenery on both sides is beautiful, and the neon lights at night are also very bright.
The Haihe River flows through Tianjin's urban area, and there are many beautiful cultural landscapes on both sides of the river, especially at night when the lights are bright.
Things along the Haihe River are still worth seeing
The style of the old building is very nice
This river is probably the most famous thing in Tianjin.
Very beautiful night view, walk slowly all the way and enjoy the night view~~
The first time I saw this river, I fell in love with this gentle river. With the lights at night and the high-rise buildings on both sides of the river, the Haihe River looks very beautiful.
It made me feel a kind of delicacy and gentleness. It was also here that I first experienced the artistic conception of the mother river.
Whether it is day or night, the Haihe River is worth visiting. There is no fixed location and the beauty is different.
The Haihe River has always been in my mind the impression of being dry. Now it has been developed very well. You can take a boat tour on the Haihe River between various scenic spots, and the river water is also very clear.
If you have enough time and energy, you can walk slowly along the Haihe River. Each bridge on the Haihe River has its own unique shape and is very distinctive. I believe that each picture is a visual enjoyment. Since the overall viewing area of the Haihe River is quite long, choosing a shared bicycle is a very convenient means of transportation.
The water in the Haihe River hasn't been unfrozen yet... Walking along the shore, the chill of the frozen water and the novelty of the sensation kept hitting my nerves! Of course, I also had to take pictures of my parents!!!
It's especially quiet to walk along the river in winter.
Very clean and very northern
A place that is more expensive than Huangpu River, West Lake, Chongqing Yangtze River cruise
After dinner, I made an appointment with a friend to meet by the Haihe River.
We walked west along the Haihe River, chatting and sharing anecdotes. I said, "Tianjin is so beautiful," and he said, "I want to go home and visit." I said, "The Tianjin subway isn't as well-developed as Beijing's," and he said, "This is a city perfect for retirement." Feeling the comfortable breeze, gazing up at the towering buildings, and uninhibitedly breathing in the fresh air, after a week of being alone, I suddenly realized that having someone to accompany me is actually quite nice.
We walked along the river for almost two hours, crossing the Jiefang Bridge three times (laughs). The Haihe River is truly beautiful, so stunning that I couldn't bear to miss even a single angle. We walked from one bank to the other, from west to east, from far away to close, and still felt that no amount of time here was too long.
My favorite place in Tianjin is the spectacular skyscrapers.
Admire the classical and modern buildings on both sides of the Haihe River on the boat, listen to the tour guide's explanation of the buildings and bridges on both sides, and feel the contemporary beauty of Tianjin!
The Haihe River, Tianjin's mother river, stretches 74 kilometers from Sanchakou upstream to the Bohai Bay east of Tianjin. Compared to many other historic Chinese cities, Tianjin's history is relatively young. December 2004 marked the 600th anniversary of its founding.
Walking on the bridge, I kept saying, "How beautiful it is, how beautiful it is." The night view is still a little amazing.
Tianjin's mother river is beautiful and down-to-earth. The people's river
Tianjin’s Mother River...
The Haihe River stretches on both sides and flows slowly under the bridge. People take cruise ships through it and enjoy the nourishment of Tianjin's mother river.
I like the corner of Haihe River. What you can’t see is the unknown, and it is full of mystery.
It was a very nice day and I spent half the afternoon here.
The Haihe River in Tianjin is quite unique. I rode the Ferris wheel when I went there before, and I feel that the night view would be even better.
The legendary night view of Tianjin surpassing Beijing may refer to the Haihe River. In two days, I came once in the afternoon and twice in the evening, a total of three times, which is worthy of it.
It starts from Jingang Bridge in Tianjin, flows into Bohai Bay at Dagukou, and runs through the urban area of Tianjin. It is commonly known as the “Mother River” of Tianjin.
There are many spectacular bridges on the Haihe River, including the Jingang Bridge, the Lion Grove Bridge, the Jintang Bridge, the Beian Bridge, and the Jiefang Bridge.
I went fishing with my older brother. I watched the cars all afternoon. The Haihe River is so wide.
It is recommended to go at night, take a cruise and enjoy the scenery along the way
The Haihe River (Haihe River system) is the largest river system in North China and one of the seven major rivers in China. The Haihe River is located in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and forms the Haihe River Basin. The lower reaches after the confluence in Tianjin are called the Haihe River. When you come to Tianjin, you can go here to enjoy the night view. The buildings on the shore are very distinctive.
We strolled along the Haihe River, watching seagulls. After a short walk, we saw a few, not many, maybe a dozen or so. The expected rush for food didn't happen at all. They only reluctantly took a bite of bread as it floated by, spending most of their time circling the surface of the river, quite far away.
There is a bridge over the Haihe River where people fish.
I suggest going there at night, it's really great, take a stroll along the Haihe River, enjoy the breeze and see the locals doing all kinds of activities. There is a band composed of several old artists under the Binjiang Bridge, and they play the saxophone very well. I also encountered an old couple drinking red wine on the river bank, which was very romantic.
Tianjin's nightscape is breathtaking, and the Haihe River's scenery is even more stunning. After dinner, I took a quiet stroll along the riverbank, enjoying a leisurely moment. Perhaps because every time I visit Tianjin, I treat it as a mini-vacation, I'm drawn to its nightscape even more. I've traveled to many cities, big and small, but Tianjin's nightscape remains the most beautiful.
Haihe River is the mother river of Tianjin. It is very beautiful. There are some foreign-style buildings along the river. The night view of Haihe River is especially beautiful. It is really pleasant to walk along the riverbank on a summer night.
The building is nice and worth a visit. Unfortunately, time is too tight to appreciate it slowly.
After dinner, I sat by the river and enjoyed the sea breeze. There were many people who knew how to take a walk, both adults and children. The sea breeze touched my face, so refreshing and cool. I think life in Tianjin is not bad. No matter how noisy it is during the day, there is always a place like this where I can take a breath, even if I just sit quietly.
I particularly love the Haihe River, especially at night. Riding a Mobike along the river, feeling the breeze and admiring the scenery is truly a delight. For a bird's-eye view of the Haihe River at night, I recommend dinner at Shota Japanese Restaurant on the 36th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center, right next to the Haihe River. There, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river at night. Enjoy a delicious meal while admiring the scenery.
The scenery of Haihe River is really good, from any angle
A major river in Tianjin, with many sightseeing boat docks along the way. The lights of the Haihe River are very beautiful at night, and it would be more interesting to cruise on the Haihe River...
Tianjin's Mother River is very impressive, with flocks of seagulls playing. In some places, the ice is thicker, and the local uncles will cut ice to fish. With a bicycle, a stool, and a warm sleep cup, they are leisurely and contented, very much like the old Tianjin style.
I went there at night during the Spring Festival. The ice on the river had not melted yet and the night view was pretty good.
This trip was quite rushed, so we basically went there during the day.
The beauty of the Haihe River lies in the night, when the lights of the surrounding buildings are reflected on the water, which is breathtaking.
In fact, there are really no attractions. Binjiang Road, Tianjin Tower, Haihe River, Jinwan Square, Italian Style Street, and Five Avenues are actually in front of Tianjin Station. Just treat them as one attraction. If you separate them, there will be no more.
Tianjin's mother river, the Haihe River, was the only water source for Tianjin residents before the Luanhe River was diverted to the city. If you want to experience the Haihe River, taking a boat cruise is the best option, rather than swimming.
The Haihe River, also known as the Gu River, is the largest river in North China. Tianjin residents consider it their mother river. Its main stream reaches Tianjin, stretching 73 kilometers. High-rise buildings and magnificent gardens line the banks, and the Tianjin Eye stretches across them. Cruise ships ply the river, and traffic buzzes along the shore, creating a truly stunning cityscape. A Haihe River cruise costs 80 yuan during the day and 100 yuan at night, though I personally find the night view even more stunning.
It is true that a city has spirituality when it has water. The trails on both sides of the river are now well-maintained. I hope to have the opportunity to go for a run along the banks of the Haihe River.
The last time I looked out over the Haihe River from Jiefang Bridge was 12 years ago. Back then, the riverbanks were still lined with construction cranes, and the streets were filled with cigarette-chomping pedestrians hurrying to the train station. Today, standing on Jiefang Bridge again and looking around, I suddenly realized that Tianjin's nightscape has become even more captivating. The bridge over the Haihe River is the backbone of Tianjin. The Tianjin Eye and the passing cruise ships are a must-see for appreciating the city's nightscape. If you prefer not to rush through, you can find a quiet spot in the square, sit down, watch the buildings transform into a dazzling array of lights, listen to the incessant clatter of wheels across the iron bridge, and soak in the gentle spring breeze from the Haihe River. It's a true delight to be in Tianjin this night!
At night, you can enjoy the night view from the King Kong Bridge and walk along the Haihe River Trail. It is a good place to digest food after a meal.
The Haihe River is ablaze with lights in the summer night. Cruise ships weave through the river, people crowd along the shore, and flowers bloom along the waterside.
The Haihe River runs through the urban area of Tianjin. The cruise ship terminal is right outside Tianjin Railway Station, where you can board a boat for sightseeing.
There are many spectacular bridges on the Haihe River, including the Jingang Bridge, the Lion Grove Bridge, the Jintang Bridge, the Beian Bridge, and the Jiefang Bridge.
Various high-rise buildings and more than 20 historical and cultural buildings stand on both sides of the Haihe River.
A good place for people to relax, the scenery is beautiful, Tianjin people are blessed
The Haihe River is magnificent both in the morning and at night, and there are many historic bridges that are very spectacular.
The two sides of the Haihe River are a perfect blend of modern and classic.
Tianjin prospers because of the Haihe River. It is worth visiting the Haihe River, but you must go there at night.
Arrived in Tianjin in the afternoon, put down the luggage and quickly went to take a cruise
I skipped a class that required a sign-in for the Haihe River cruise, but it was totally worth it! We bought our tickets online and had them delivered directly to our hotel. The boat was beautifully appointed, with comfortable leather seats and a deck for clearer photos. The tour guide was excellent, covering the entire itinerary, including the bridges and buildings.
Okay, none of that is the main point, hahaha. The main point is the night view is so beautiful! So beautiful! So beautiful! You can see the surrounding night scene in all directions, the Italian-style streets, the former residences of various celebrities, and so on. I can't remember what it is, but it's always beautiful! I kept taking pictures with my phone, probably close to a hundred of them. I recommend sitting by the window for easier photos. Personally, I think the left side is better.
We boarded the boat from Dabeiyuan Pier. I don't know what the scenery at other piers is like, but I personally think Dabeiyuan Pier is pretty good. The cruise ships all depart from and return to the same place.
The water in the river that runs through Tianjin is relatively clear.
The scenery on both sides of the Haihe River is beautiful both day and night, and it is much cleaner than Beijing.
Every metropolis has a river that defines it, or perhaps even its origins. In Tianjin, that's the Haihe River. Its many tributaries converge northwest of Jingang Bridge, forming the main stream that flows through Tianjin before emptying into Bohai Bay. Every day, we busily cross the Haihe River's banks on various bridges.
The night scene is quite beautiful, with a variety of colorful lights adorning the buildings along the river. Most of these structures, built in the early 20th century as European-style structures leased to foreign powers, take on a uniquely exotic charm under the lights. Tourist boats, loaded with tourists, ply the Haihe River, admiring the beautiful illuminations.
The rivers in Tianjin are well managed, and the scenery on both sides of the river is also beautiful.
The Haihe River can be cruised by day or by night. I chose the night cruise. The luxurious cruise ship, the charming night scenery, the flashing neon lights, the dazzling brilliance. I lingered, only sighing that time was too short! It was time to disembark. Please see Figure 8 for the boat ticket.
Cruise ticket price: Night view adult 100 yuan; children (1.2-1.4m) 50 yuan; seniors 65 years and above 80 yuan (with senior citizen card or valid ID)
Seniors aged 65 and above: RMB 80 (with senior citizen ID or valid ID); Students: RMB 80 (with student ID below undergraduate level)
The Haihe River at night is so beautiful. I came out of the celebrity teahouse at 10pm after listening to crosstalk, walked along the Haihe River to the train station, bought some grilled cold noodles, and walked back to the youth hostel. I was amazed that there were still so many people on the Haihe River at 11pm. It was really relaxing.
A month before graduation, I rode my bike to the Haihe River every night to enjoy the breeze. It was truly wonderful. It's probably the most worthwhile scenery in Tianjin. The night view is the best!

It is like a long landscape painting, which includes the beautiful Haihe Park, the world-famous Wanghailou Church, the magnificent "Laolongtou Railway Station" - Tianjin Station, etc.
The contrast between modern architecture and historical architecture, they show their own differences to each other, and at the same time blend into each other in the metropolis of Tianjin.
The World Financial Center can be seen from a distance.
The Haihe River is covered with thick ice in winter, and occasionally citizens come here to fish🎣.
Just looking at the architecture is enough to appreciate it. Every time you walk a distance, you will see a new shape.
