I went there during the National Day holiday. Objectively speaking, if you buy tickets at normal prices, the cost-effectiveness is not very high (we bought tickets at a discount price during an event). There were a lot of people during the National Day holiday. I don't know if the flow of customers was really limited by reservation. There were many shops, the dolphin show was good, and the rest of the experience was average.

By Flying loach |

After 4 years, I took my kids there again while on business. It was pretty good, but the dolphin theater show hasn't been updated much. I feel sorry for the animals and the trainers who have been doing it for so many years. Due to the epidemic, there were few people and the tour was very smooth.

By Mu Zizhi Yue |

The park has reopened after the epidemic, but reservations are required to visit! Reservations are required to visit! Reservations are required to visit! You can follow "Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean Park Consultation" to make reservations, and you can also get show times and electronic maps.

All the animals inside are very friendly and will interact with visitors near the glass. There are little penguins swimming around, polar bears that greet visitors, Arctic wolves that fight with each other, cute white Arctic foxes, and sea lions that scratch you with their claws. There is also an underwater tunnel where you can feel fish swimming overhead.

There are 3 theater performances in total - Beluga whale show, mermaid show, whale and dolphin show; there are also 3 feeding shows, the time of which can be obtained through the official account.

The first two performances are about 10 minutes long, and the third is more than 20 minutes long. The first two performances are on the first floor and you can just follow the route. The third performance is on the second floor. It is recommended to go there in advance to reserve a seat. A good seat is very important.

After leaving the main venue, there is a jellyfish hall with many beautiful jellyfish~ a feast for the eyes!

The total visit time is about 3-5 hours. You can plan in advance to save time waiting for the performance. I hope everyone has a good time!

Honestly, this was the most disappointing day of this National Day holiday. On the second day of our road trip, we drove from Leting to the Polar Ocean Park this morning. Arriving at the entrance, I was stunned by the sheer number of people. But then I realized it was Golden Week, so it was normal for crowds to be plentiful.

I started queuing for my ticket, and when I got to the end, I saw the exit. After squeezing through the crowd, I bought my ticket. When I got out, I took a quick look at my own line, thinking there were some sort of traffic control. There wasn't any, so I kindly agreed to help the other people at the end.

Then I lined up for security check, and then lined up for admission. Luckily, I asked before lining up. I learned that those who bought tickets on-site didn't have to queue, and there was a dedicated entrance. Looking at the people who bought their tickets online, I felt relieved.

After entering, we followed the crowd. It was basically just a matter of looking at the crowds, with nothing to see. The most terrifying part was following the crowd up the elevator. Above the elevator were shops, and there were gates at the entrance. The flow of people slowed down, but the elevator kept surging upwards. If someone fell, there would be a stampede. There was no staff to provide any guidance. Finally, we drifted into the dolphin show hall, where every aisle was completely packed with people, with no guidance at all.

I really recommend not going there. The ticket is very expensive, there is no service at all, and even though it's called a pass, there are still paid items. It's a very, very bad experience.

There won't be a next time.

We arrived at the park a little after 9:00 on Saturday. The parking lot is quite large. Having made some reservations a few days in advance and booked tickets online, we caught the Father's Day special of 128. I booked tickets from China-TravelNote for 210, which came to 338 for the two of us, and my son went free. We saw all the shows. The beluga whale show was pretty good, but a bit crowded. The Happy Theater show was also great, so we went to two because we wanted to capture the dolphins leaping. 😜 The polar bears seemed quite lonely, while the penguins were quite active. The sea lions and seals were also adorable. There were a lot of vendors inside, one every few steps. I had already arranged to buy toys for my son from the mall, so I didn't really notice anything inside. The food here is quite a rip-off, and besides being expensive, there's not much else to eat. I brought a lot of food and snacks, so I didn't eat inside. The underwater tunnel is a bit small and crowded, so we took a few photos before leaving. The mermaid show felt a bit short. The second time we entered the Whale and Dolphin Pavilion, even though we arrived an hour early, it was almost full, so we rested inside and brought our own food. 😝 My son really likes the animals in the Ancient Oceanarium. He had plenty of time to play with them. The temperature in the oceanarium is quite suitable, making it suitable for the whole family.

By Turkish bread |

It's worth seeing, but it's so popular, always packed! I took the kids there before summer vacation and was hungry. Luckily, a friend reminded me to skip eating nearby. Instead, I cycled across the river to the Haihe River cruise at Yujiabao. It only took ten minutes to cross the bridge and explore the Global Shopping Mall in Yujiabao. The classic car park and the Turkish Grand Bazaar were both fantastic. The newly opened Xiapu Xiapu is less crowded, cooler, and has more food. After eating and shopping, I hopped on the high-speed train back to Beijing! I highly recommend this route.

The aquarium comprises several components: the Polar Oceanarium, Sunshine Ocean City, serviced apartments, the City Tourism Boulevard, and the Carnival Boardwalk. It offers a variety of activities, including sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, dining, and shopping. The project is located in the Xiangluowan Tourism Zone of Tianjin's Binhai New Area, on the south bank of the Binhai Haihe River. Across from the Binhai New Area Commercial Center and the Bund Park, it borders the planned Xiangluowan Interprovincial Business District to the east. With a total investment of 3.6 billion RMB, the project covers an area of 193,000 square meters.

The overall management is very poor, the environment inside is very dirty and messy, it is extremely commercialized, and they will try every possible means to make money.

Entrance: There is nothing wrong with limiting the flow of people, but it has led to even more excessive queue-jumping. A group of people crowded at the door and squeezed in like crazy bulls.

Exhibition area: It was packed with people, and there was no effect of flow control at all; many parents lifted their children onto their shoulders so that they could see the exhibition area through the crowd, seriously affecting the viewing of other visitors.

Performance venue: You need to pay an extra 200 yuan to enter the front row, and the seats in the back and even the corridors are full of people. If something happens, it can be said that no one can escape. Waiters holding grilled sausages and grilled corn shuttled through the crowded audience, all of which were food on wooden sticks. There were many children in the venue, and the dangerous situation was beyond words. After the performance, the evacuation of the crowd was completely disorderly and relied entirely on the staff to shout

Environment: Dirty and messy. There are so many food stalls inside that there is garbage everywhere. There are also unknown liquids everywhere that you can't tell whether they are spilled drinks or children's urine. It is very disgusting.

There are countless additional paid items

All in all, the experience was very bad

By small steamed buns |

There were student discount packages available online (for the Jellyfish and Oceanariums), valid immediately. Adult tickets needed to be purchased three hours in advance. We weren't sure if our student tickets would work, so we bought them on-site. About ten minutes later, we received the QR code for our e-tickets.

The security line was okay, but the ticket line after security was incredibly long and slow, with people only moving two steps at a time. But I couldn't contain my excitement at my first visit to the aquarium. Once inside, there were still a lot of people, even the glass panels were completely packed. As soon as the people in front of us finished taking pictures, the people behind us would move in. So, we were able to see the museum pretty quickly.

The thing I wanted to see the most was the underwater tunnel. I'd seen it on TV before, and it was so magical with fish flying all around you, especially overhead. It was so crowded, though, that I was practically being pushed along. There were people inside with a scuba instructor, and we both wanted to go in too.

It took quite a while to wander around! I thought it was small, but it's actually quite large, with multiple floors and a wide variety of categories. Some of the animals were quite distressing, though, especially the polar bears, who were so skinny. Because it was so crowded and dark, we barely took any photos; we just looked. I even bought an animal sticker in the shop.

By Zhaowiw |

The underwater world is definitely worth a visit. The penguins and beluga whales are the centerpieces of the museum. The view through the semi-submerged glass is crystal clear, and the beluga whales are truly breathtaking! The dolphin show is also worth seeing, but it's best to sit up front. Don't buy the 150 VIP tickets; they're not very cost-effective. The show is only 30 minutes long, and for a family of three, it's 450 ¥ (those under 1.2 meters are free). The 80 ¥ tickets for the Future Jellyfish Museum are a rip-off and not recommended!

By 👑Yi |

I definitely don't recommend going! The animals are just in a small room. The show wasn't particularly impressive. The facilities are quite basic. The undersea tunnel isn't automated, and it gets jammed when there are too many people. It's not even as good as the one in Beijing.

By version man |

Don't expect too much; the lines are ridiculous, people jump the queue, and the management is non-existent. When I asked the staff, they said they didn't know when the show would start. The performers were incredibly hard-working, and the animals were very cooperative. Overall, the experience was quite poor, though it's probably okay for children.

By Siba |

The Ocean Polar World is quite large, and the entrance fee is quite expensive, around 245 yuan per ticket. It includes the Ocean Polar Hall, the Jellyfish Hall, and the Dinosaur Park. There's a gift shop every few steps in the Ocean Polar Hall, which wastes a lot of space and is far inferior to the Penglai Ocean Polar World, which only has one shop at the exit. The animals are similar to those at Penglai, but the performances are quite unique. The interaction between the opening clown, the host, and the trainers and the audience is quite interesting. The sea lions and walruses are adorable, and the dolphins dance gracefully on the shimmering water, frequently making the audience laugh. The Dinosaur Park is a complete rip-off. They've set up a few dinosaur models in an open space between a group of commercial and residential buildings, just like the occasional animal exhibition in a square. Children are even required to pay for additional tickets... Since the Ocean Polar Hall is dimly lit, I didn't take many photos.

By Miss Liuuuuu_.💕 |

The advantage of traveling alone is that it is easier to grab a seat anywhere.

The sea lion jumped up and almost hit me in the face because I was sitting too close.

There is also a jellyfish hall outside the Polar Hall, which contains jellyfish of various sizes and colors.

By hunter |

There are not as many people as you might think. The dolphin show is worth recommending, and you can also feed the seals yourself.

By M_DORIS_ ♓️ |

Unlike the Beijing Aquarium, this is an independent tourist attraction covering an area of about 50,000 square meters. Here you can see polar bears, penguins, Arctic foxes, walruses and other marine animals of various sizes and shapes.

By Little Fat Snail |

The aquarium is truly beautiful, with a rich variety of marine life. You can get up close and personal with penguins, polar bears, snow wolves, and more, and there's even an underwater tunnel. The highlight was the dolphin show at the Happy Theater, which was absolutely fantastic! The only downside is that it's always crowded during the holidays, so the wait times are incredibly long. The free photo booth was a huge bummer; I spent over half an hour squeezing for a small two-inch photo. The jellyfish pavilion was just okay.

By Cat-eared rabbit |

I took a taxi from downtown Tianjin during the heaviest fog, driving at a snail's pace the entire time with my hazard lights on. Due to the fog, there weren't many people around. But even though the animals weren't surrounded by thousands of people, it was still quite difficult to see them clearly.

By Cat Xiaoqi |

There were so many people, the crowd was so thick that I couldn't see anything. The tickets were also very expensive.

By Lazy Girl |

The ticket price is 160 yuan. It is worth watching, especially suitable for taking children.

Tianjin Polar Oceanarium is currently the world's largest polar marine animal exhibition hall, displaying the most comprehensive variety of polar marine life.

The whale-shaped aquarium can be seen from a distance. As soon as you enter the ticket gate, you can start to feel the strong smell of the ocean.

After entering the aquarium, the first thing that welcomed us was the penguin house. Many lively penguins were playing in the water, which instantly cooled down the hot summer.

Next to the penguin house is a souvenir shop. The cute penguin plush in the shop makes you want to take one home, and there are also cute polar bears.

The animal show venue is quite spacious and has good air circulation. Unlike some oceanariums, the air is not stuffy and filled with the sounds of children. The marine animal show is a favorite of the children.

The jellyfish museum is full of magical feeling. There are jellyfish swimming around in the crystal ball in the middle, which is incomparably beautiful.

I added the Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean Park information public account, which has the performance schedule. The New Year's Day schedule is different from the usual schedule.

9:00-16:30, 022-66227777, parking fee is per car (10 yuan/small car, 15 yuan/large car), main course meal in Happy Restaurant on the 2nd floor is 35 yuan/portion, the jellyfish hall is outside the aquarium, and you need to go out and buy a ticket to enter the aquarium.

We watched all three shows. The mermaid show wasn't much of a show, just people feeding the animals. We watched the beluga whale show on the second floor, but it was crowded and hard to see. There was actually a story behind it, so it's probably better to watch it on the first floor. The walrus, sea lion, and dolphin show was the best, with lots of dolphins. We only watched one penguin feeding out of the three, and it wasn't interesting at all because there was no explanation. I was most looking forward to seeing the jellyfish, which I highly recommend. It was my first time seeing so many jellyfish.

By Lazy Cat |

The exterior of the venue is shaped like a giant whale swimming into the Haihe Bay, with beluga whales, dolphins, polar bears, penguins, Arctic foxes, Arctic wolves, walruses, sea lions, etc. The animal shows are very exciting, so keep an eye on the schedule.

1. It is super convenient to buy tickets on China-TravelNote. A text message with a QR code will be sent to the reserved mobile phone number. Then you can enter each main coffin by just swiping your phone.

2. Speaking of the aquarium, it is also very good. The underwater tunnel, jellyfish hall and marine performances are all very good.

3. I went to the aquarium by train. It is very close and convenient to take the bus.

4. There are still few catering facilities near the aquarium, and it is also convenient to take a bus to the foreign goods market.

Rich in marine animals, it is a great place for the whole family to visit

By Plush Bunny 123 |

I took my one-year-old to the aquarium. She loved it and didn't cry the whole time. However, she was a little afraid of the underwater tunnel and wouldn't let us stay there. It was pretty ordinary, though—no sharks, and the manta rays were quite small. The penguins, polar bears, and Arctic foxes were all adorable. My baby loved the penguins and started kissing a stuffed penguin. We immediately bought one. The Arctic wolf was so dashing! So handsome! Standing on the rockery and posing was so impressive! The beluga whale show was the most memorable. It was relatively quiet, and we were right in the middle of the tank, and my baby was mesmerized. The "Beluga Love" show was also fantastic. The mermaid show was incredibly popular, with crowds swarming in and out. I was afraid I didn't push forward, but my dad said the crowds were mostly there to see the mermaids' beauty and figure. Hahaha. We definitely skipped the mermaid show. The dolphin show was also packed, and even though we arrived early, we couldn't get a front seat. There is also a jellyfish museum, which is not as good as I expected, but I can learn a lot about jellyfish. There is a jellyfish research experience project for children, which is good and charged separately, but the child is too young to participate. I will bring her here when she grows up.

It's so big!! I didn't watch the dolphin show because I was in a hurry. What a pity!

By SAMAN doesn't do shaman tricks |

I felt like there weren't many things to see, not as good as I'd imagined, and not very large. But the price was still reasonable. The aquarium and jellyfish museum were both included, and the student ticket on Meituan was 79 yuan. The intercity train from Tianjin Station to Yujiapu Station now uses bus fares, so it's only 12 yuan, and the trip takes less than half an hour. From the station, you can get to the aquarium in a short bike or bus ride. I personally thought the jellyfish museum was quite beautiful, albeit small.

By Civilian Tourists |

As a local, I only took my kids there. I've never been before, but I have been to the aquarium inside the Beijing Zoo. While the Tanggu one is newer, I still think the Beijing one is better. If you haven't been to other large aquariums, this one is a good choice. They have more polar animals than Beijing. I took my kids there during the May Day holiday. I could go on any other weekday, but I always want to go somewhere during the holidays. It was really crowded during the May Day holiday. It was quite chaotic. There were no seats for the dolphin show, and we were late. There were quite a few people standing. It felt like the show was shortened. The sea lion show was longer, but I think the dolphin show should have attracted more people, but it was shorter. The whole show was only 15 minutes, which felt very short. The worst part was the mermaid show. I waited for ages to get a front row seat, but the fat mermaid only dove underwater a few times and didn't interact with the fish. She just waved to the crowd, and then it was over. I thought there would be a sequel, but then someone said the music was over. It must have been over. I'm at a loss for words. I can dive and wave, too. 😓 I don't think the price is worth it. Everyone should definitely buy a group ticket. It's even worse without it. Anyway, if you haven't been to the aquarium, give it a try. It's mainly for kids 😄. For adults, one visit is enough.

By Listen to the wind sing |

The animals and performances in the main hall are just average, not much to highlight.

The jellyfish museum is something you won't see in other oceanariums. It's beautiful and worth a visit.

I came here in winter, and the animals were very lively, so I brought my children here to play.

By China-TravelNote users |

There are two floors of large bags. The most inhumane thing is that there is no ramp. It is very troublesome to push the cart. The stairs have to be carried up and down. There are too many people. It is a bit difficult to see the animals properly. The jellyfish museum is in another exhibition area after leaving. There are too many souvenir shops. It feels like the area is divided by souvenir shops. You can feed seals for 100-200 and feed dolphins for 300-400.

By A pig that goes out without a brain |

It was my first time to bring my child to Ocean Park. Although it was crowded on October 1, we still had a lot of fun. My child loves fish very much, and here he can see everything. But I still don’t understand why the 60 yuan ticket can allow him to visit the same things as the 180 yuan adult ticket.

By Chengde Tourism Laoliu |

I took advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday and went there with my children. We saw Antarctic penguins and polar bears, as well as beluga whale shows. The dolphin, seal and sea lion shows were the most interesting. The children watched them with gusto. The venue was full. Fortunately, we set off early, half an hour earlier than the opening time at 9 o'clock, and caught up with the first wave of guests. The surrounding parking lot is very large. There were not many cars parked when we went there, and it was basically full when we came out. It is 10 yuan per car with no time limit. I personally think it is very reasonable. There are also many shopping stores inside for buying some animal toys, and you can visit the venue repeatedly. It is worth taking the children there. A trip to let the children learn about the South and North Poles, which we may never be able to visit in our lifetime, to see those rare animals, and to cultivate the children's love and curiosity. It's good, really good, and you can drink hot water in the Dolphin Restaurant on the second floor, but there is no hot water provided in other places. This needs to be improved. After all, we go there with children, and basically they all need hot water. There are many clean toilets in the venue, but there are too many people at the back. There are people everywhere, and it's impossible to squeeze in. There are no flow control measures. It's very crowded, and you need to be alert to thieves. Generally speaking, you can go, but try to avoid the flow of people.

This is a decent aquarium, with polar animals as its main attraction. It's a great place for families to visit with children.

During the Dragon Boat Festival, we went to Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean World. Because there was an event going on, my baby's ticket got free entry. We bought our tickets online a day in advance, so we could enter directly by scanning the QR code without exchanging tickets. This was a big plus! The temperature was just right after we entered. My baby was thrilled to see the underwater animals. We usually only see them online, but this time, seeing them in person was even more exciting for the kids. The sea lion and dolphin shows were especially great for children's cognitive development. Seeing things at different stages of life can give them different knowledge. I highly recommend it to everyone!

By Leo |

This is a great attraction in the Binhai Development Zone, perfect for taking children. I think adults would also be thrilled here, especially the marine animal shows. Haichang Polar Ocean World comprises nine exhibition areas: Polar Animals, Marine Animals, Undersea World, Waterless Ocean, Sharks, Corals, Jellyfish, Interactive Science, and a Performance Hall (Happy Theater). Over 130 polar and marine animals of all sizes, including beluga whales, dolphins, polar bears, penguins, Arctic foxes, Arctic wolves, walruses, and sea lions, along with over 30,000 marine fish and other creatures, gather together. A massive underwater tunnel immerses you in the mysterious world of the polar deep sea. Taking photos and feeding beluga whales in the experience area makes visitors feel like they're immersed in a polar ocean fantasy. The humorous, comedic, and thrilling performances by dolphins, sea lions, and the newly added two false killer whales offer visitors a refreshing and enjoyable experience.

By Mr. Bit |

Tianjin's Polar Oceanarium, located quite a distance from the city center, features a variety of polar creatures and a polar animal show. While typical oceanariums offer this kind of experience, it's not particularly exciting. If you're visiting Tianjin for the sole purpose, I wouldn't recommend it. You can visit other coastal polar animal museums. Of course, if you don't have a schedule, you can plan your visit there. It's quite good. It was the first polar oceanarium I've ever been to, and I saw so many adorable animals. My favorite was the Arctic wolf. There's also a 3D museum just outside, which seems to offer half-price admission. It wasn't particularly exciting, but it wasn't too expensive and worth a visit. It's more fun with more people.

By Adonis_Fan |

I went there during National Day. I took Metro Line 9 from Tianjin Station to Tanggu, then took the bus. I bought student tickets in advance on Meituan. I went to Polar Ocean World and found it quite nice. The venue is quite large and there are many marine animals, but it was also quite crowded. The performance venues are quite large, too. I think it would be better to go when it's less crowded. It's well worth seeing the penguins. There's also a fast food restaurant and restrooms inside. It's worth a day.

By Copper bells hanging from long vines |

It's a little smaller than Tiger Beach in Dalian, but in a small place like Tanggu, it's pretty good to have such an oceanarium. There are performances every day, and many parents of children nearby have annual passes for their children. Sometimes taking children to see polar animals makes the children very happy.

By Fatty99 |

Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean World is located in the Binhai New Area. Like most aquariums, it's nothing special. However, the penguins and beluga whales you see upon entering are quite nice. The environment is pleasant, though a bit small, so it doesn't take long to explore.

A must-see for family outings. Very good, interesting and unique. The ocean show is also great.

This seafood restaurant was newly opened in the last two years. It is near Yujiabao, Tanggu District, Tianjin. After exiting the square in front of the railway station (Tianjin Station), you can go to the front square bus terminal where there is a bus to Tanggu. There is usually a bus every 10 minutes, and the ticket costs about 5 to 7 yuan. You can get off at Yanghuo Station and take the bus to the destination, or take Metro Line 9 from Tianjin Station to Tanggu Station. It has been suspended recently due to the Tianjin Tanggu explosion, and the restart time is still uncertain. The ticket price is 165 yuan. There are group purchases on Meituan, Nuomi, etc. The ticket price is 140 yuan. Seniors over 70 years old are free, and the student ID card costs 70 yuan. There are relatively few restaurants nearby and they are relatively expensive. There is a parking lot, which seems to be 10 yuan each, with unlimited parking. A taxi from Yanghuo does not exceed 20 yuan. There are 4 performances every day, and the performance time is pretty good. It is worth a visit.

Polar Ocean World is right in Tanggu. I drove there on a weekend trip because I had nothing to do. The route is easy to walk and not far from the city. The ticket was 140 yuan per person, and I bought it at a group buy price. It feels a little better than the Beijing Ocean Park, but it's not very big. The Happy Theater is worth the queue. Calculate your time and try to get to the front of the line to get a good seat, but don't get in the first two rows, otherwise you'll get splashed by the dolphins' joyful jumps! There are restaurants here, but they can be very crowded, so you'll have to wait in line for a table. You can bring your own food, and there are rest areas where you can sit and eat, but I don't recommend eating in the restaurant!

Located in Tianjin's Tanggu district, this aquarium is unlike other aquariums in that it houses animals from both the North and South Pole, and offers spectacular animal shows. While it's small, with only two floors, it's still quite educational, and some of the exhibits are quite awe-inspiring, making it well worth a visit. However, for Beijing children, it's probably not worth the trip to Tianjin just for this aquarium. On the way back, they can visit Florence Village in Tianjin's Wuqing district, a hub for designer discount stores.

Driving from Beijing to Tianjin takes two hours. There are two expressways connecting Beijing and Tianjin, and the road conditions are excellent (except for a foggy stretch in the middle). When we visited, adult tickets were 160 yuan, children under 120 cm were free, and seniors and people with disabilities were 65 yuan. Groupon and online discounts are available, and adult tickets cost 135 yuan. From September 19 to October 7, 2013, children under 150 cm were free. Opening hours are 9:00-17:00. Animal shows follow a fixed schedule, usually starting at 10:00, with activities changing every half hour. The 5D movie costs an additional 40 yuan. There is a restaurant and souvenir shop on site, but prices are quite high, so it's best to bring your own food and water.

As for polar animals, the ones that attract children the most are: 1) the huge and kind beluga whale; 2) the mermaid underwater show; 3) the walrus, seal, and dolphin show...

A decent underwater world, recommended by a friend, but I think it's just average

Tickets: Prices are relatively high, but group purchases offer significant discounts. Student tickets are available, and those with postgraduate certificates are accepted. Note: The electronic ticket exchange point for group purchases is on the left side of the main entrance, not the on-site window for regular tickets.

The aquarium is divided into two floors: the first floor showcases medium-to-large polar animals, and the second floor is dedicated to marine life. Performances include mermaid shows, beluga whale feedings, and more. Show times are listed at the entrance, and each show only runs twice a day, so make sure to plan accordingly.

There are few rest areas in the museum, and each floor has a dining area. The prices are quite high. The first floor sells snacks like hamburgers and hot dogs, averaging 15 yuan. The second floor sells main dishes like noodles and rice. A bowl of beef udon is 39 yuan. It is recommended to bring some food and eat at the second floor dining area.

Recommended time for a visit: one day. The museum closes around 4:00 PM. The Bund Park is across the street, perfect for some fun.

I went there when it first opened, and there were not many people there. There is only one aquarium in Tianjin, so many people go there now, and the animals inside are still very complete.

There were quite a lot of animals, basically everything you could expect. There were shows with beluga whales, dolphins, and more. I was particularly impressed by the arctic wolf that could pose.

If you have plenty of time in Tianjin, Tanggu is a must-see. While it's considered Tianjin, in the eyes of Tianjin residents, Tanggu and its Binhai New Area are like another world, constantly evolving. Besides visiting the Bund, Tanggu also offers the nearby Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean World. Owned by the Dalian Haichang Group, bringing an authentic ocean world to Tianjin is a significant investment. While not the best aquarium I've ever been to, it's certainly one of a kind. The Ocean Theater presents shows lasting over an hour, a rarity at other aquariums, though the waiting times can be a bit daunting. The star attraction here are two beluga whales. From the first floor, you can watch them swim through the glass windows. If you're on time, you can even see their keepers feeding them on the second floor. If you're lucky, you can even hear their cries!

I bought a group-buy ticket on Taobao for 135 yuan per person. I took the light rail to Tanggu Station in the morning, then transferred to bus No. 110 and got off at the Ocean World stop. Since we arrived early, there weren't many people around, so I skipped the line and went straight in. The trip went smoothly.

During the National Day holiday, there were crowds of people and I went to the aquarium with my friends to see the tiny animals.

We bought our tickets online in advance and redeemed them at the ticket office on the left side of the museum. If you're buying tickets on-site, consider buying a package. The package includes one museum, but the 5D museum is included. Once inside, looking at the cool water was so relaxing! I really wanted to join the fun. The museum isn't very large, so I could probably explore it all in about two hours. There are plenty of souvenir shops, so I'll definitely take home a penguin and a polar bear.

Maybe it’s because it’s newly built, the animals here are very vivid, chasing and fighting in their spacious “houses”, unlike some zoos with a long history where the animals eat and sleep, sleep and eat. Ha~

Purchase an e-ticket online for 135 yuan (it's cheaper online). Directions to the aquarium can be found on Baidu. After seeing these photos, I believe everyone has a deeper love for these animals from the deep sea and polar regions. While this love deepens, let's also work together to protect the environment, not only for these adorable animals, but also for us and our future generations (pollution in Tianjin is relatively severe...).

The aquarium, shaped like a giant whale swimming into the Haihe Bay, sits on the shores of the famous Tanggu Bund in Tianjin's Binhai New Area. It covers approximately 50,000 square meters, with a building area of approximately 47,000 square meters and a maximum height of 67 meters. It is currently the world's largest polar marine animal exhibition center, showcasing the most diverse polar marine life, and is currently applying for a Guinness World Record. Unfortunately, the polar fox, polar wolf, and penguin enclosures were under renovation! I missed them! Perhaps everyone was busy getting married and decorating their homes? Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean World comprises nine exhibition areas: Polar Animals, Marine Animals, Undersea World, Waterless Ocean, Sharks, Corals, Jellyfish, Science and Technology Interactive Exhibitions, and a Performance Hall (Happy Theater). Over 130 polar and marine animals of all sizes, including beluga whales, dolphins, polar bears, penguins, Arctic foxes, Arctic wolves, walruses, and sea lions, along with over 30,000 marine fish and other creatures, gather together in a vast underwater tunnel, immersing you in the mysterious world of the polar deep sea. Taking photos and feeding beluga whales in the experience area will make visitors feel like they've been transported to a dreamlike polar ocean. The humorous, comical, and thrilling performances by dolphins, sea lions, and the newly added two false killer whales offer visitors a refreshing dose of fun.

It took five minutes to reach the Polar Oceanarium. Because it was Chinese Valentine's Day, there were a lot of people here. We bought group tickets online, so I would like to remind everyone to ask in advance which ticket gate is the group purchase entrance to avoid wasting time.

The worst part of this trip was that apart from the dolphin show, there was really nothing to see in the aquarium!

At Polar Ocean World, the road was still wet after the rain, but luckily the rain finally stopped.

The main reason for coming here is to see dolphins. This is the off-season scene, and the auditorium is full.
