Tianjin Radio and Television Tower

One of the ten scenic spots in Tianjin, it is called "Tianta Xuanyun". It integrates tourism, catering, entertainment and radio and television broadcasting.
The tower's main hall, observation hall, and 270-meter-high open-air observation platform are open to the public. Telescopes in every corner of the observation hall allow users to take in the panoramic views of the surrounding area.
The revolving restaurant on the third floor rotates once every 45 minutes, allowing you to follow the rotation of the restaurant and the scenery, which is an indescribable experience.
Climbing the tower in the evening as dusk falls, you can lean on the railing with the people around you and watch the lights of the whole city gradually light up in the rosy sky. It is a special kind of charm.

The first thing you see upon entering the scenic area is a square. A short walk takes you to the base of the Tianta Tower. The building is located in a lake, surrounded by flowers and plants. Unfortunately, there were fish in the lake at the entrance, which looked a bit lifeless and really detracted from the view. Our tickets were 68 yuan per person, which included a few snacks and a game in the revolving restaurant. It seems that buying tickets online would be cheaper; some travel websites show tickets here as only 40 yuan, so I'm really confused about where the extra 28 yuan spent on offline tickets went.

We had naively thought we could go higher, but the observation deck is actually just over 200 meters up. Although it was a bit lower than we'd imagined, we took the elevator up anyway. The first thing we saw on the observation deck was a place selling souvenirs and prayer pendants. It was only when we reached the window that we realized the true beauty of the Sky Tower, as the view was simply breathtaking.

Standing by the window, at over 200 meters high and with no other buildings of similar height nearby, you can practically overlook the entire city of Tianjin. Gazing at the buildings and streets below, the traffic and crowds, and the distant landmarks like the Tianjin Museum, it's a truly breathtaking experience. The observation deck offers a 360-degree panoramic view, and after a complete tour, you feel a sense of accomplishment having seen the entire city of Tianjin. Interestingly, the window railings are decorated with numerous wishing cards, many left by lovers, expressing their wishes for a lasting love. The main purpose of visiting the Tianta Tower is to enjoy the view, and the restaurant's dining area is also arranged in a circle and slowly rotates, meaning you can enjoy a 360-degree view from just sitting, which is quite a pleasant experience. A full tour takes about 50 minutes, and it's quite relaxing to take in the photos and scenery. It's a truly worthwhile experience at the Tianta Tower.

Because it was broad daylight and the sun was shining brightly, we were unable to see the "Tianta Spiral Clouds", one of the ten scenic spots in Tianjin. However, even if we didn't go inside to see it, the visual impact of the Tianta from a distance was very strong. There were no taller and more conspicuous buildings in the surrounding area, making it worthy of being one of the landmarks.

The Tianta Tower is the Tianjin Square TV Tower, standing 415 meters tall. I came to the Tianta Tower specifically for the night view. From the ground floor, I took the elevator up to the observation deck, a quick 200-meter ride. From the window, I admired the nightscape of Tianjin. As dusk fell, the lights came on, and the bustling traffic flowed. Wherever there was light, there was life. Everyone was eager to go home for the holidays, a scene of life unfolding. On the next floor was a revolving restaurant, which took 50 minutes to complete a full rotation. I sat there for a while before coming down; the spinning made me dizzy.

By Chinese Eagle |

This was filmed at the hotel. I'll go check it out if I get a chance.

By Turtle crawling |

The ticket price is 45 yuan, and people over 70 years old are free. I took two elderly people to see it and they liked the night view. Don't buy the snacks, it's not worth it. Just buy the 45 yuan sightseeing ticket. Go to the 295-meter point to see the night view. You should see traffic jams on weekdays.

By Shuishui |

What a silly tower, I thought it was in the water, where there would be no one anyway.

By Zhao Xiaoben |

It's perfect, the tower is in the river and there is a tower in the river, especially suitable for taking photos

The Tianta Tower is located in the southwest of Tianjin's urban area, nestled within the triangular Tianta Lake. Standing 415.2 meters tall and weighing 100,000 tons, it is considered one of Tianjin's top ten scenic spots. Admission to the Tianjin scenic area is 50 yuan and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

By Debt |

It's okay. I went there in 2015. You can see the whole scenery of Tianjin from it. It's pretty good.

By Changhai_Yu |

The ticket price is 50 yuan, which is the highest in Tianjin. The location is good, the transportation is convenient, and there are many budget hotels for accommodation.

Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, one of the ten scenic spots in Tianjin, is known as "Sky Tower Spinning Clouds." Completed in October 1991, it is also known as the Tianjin Youth Activity Center. Covering 350,000 square meters, it is located north of the Sports University in Hexi District, bordered by the picturesque Water Park to the west. Standing at 415.2 meters, it is the sixth tallest tower in the world and the fourth tallest in Asia.

By Promise under the birch tree |

It was once the tallest building in Tianjin. There is a circular platform on it for visiting, but the fee is a bit high (personal feeling).

By Round Pig Pen |

You can go to the top to see the sights, but the haze in Tianjin is so severe that you can't see very far.

By Y arp |

The north is covered in smog... the Sky Tower!!

By Confused Lamb |

Tianjin's tallest tower is quite tall. It feels like all TV towers look the same; this one doesn't have much to offer besides its height. It's located very close to the water park, and you can see it from there. The surroundings aren't as nice, though. It's a bit bare. I didn't go up the tower, but there's a nice street-level viewing platform nearby. It's a must-see landmark.

By Chang Xiake |

Completed in 1991, the "Tian Tower" (Tianjin Radio and Television Tower) is short for the Tianjin Radio and Television Tower. It's said to be the world's only "water tower." Its shape resembles a sword piercing the heavens. During the day, ascending the tower offers panoramic views of Tianjin, including the Water Park in the foreground and skyscrapers in the distance. In the evening, ascend the tower to admire the city's nightscape as the lights gradually brighten.

By Papaya Bird |

I personally think that the view is better at night than during the day. The whole city is at your feet, and I prefer the feeling of looking down from a high vantage point. I bought a package ticket that also included a VR experience, which was quite fun and the effect was so realistic.

By Endless |

The surrounding environment should be very beautiful in summer, but the tower is nothing special and can be viewed from a distance.

By Mingming_MESSI |

The night view of the Tianta was discovered by accident on New Year's Eve. The Tianta in the night sky has a unique coolness.

By Protect our Zhang Xiaowei |

The service is really bad~

It means that you have some money to buy a strong sale.

But there is no way~

After all, traveling~

What if I really missed something?

No one explains it, I have to see it by myself.

The scenery is pretty good~

One ticket is enough.

The rest is not necessary

Upstairs, besides being able to sit

The glass is super dirty

The lookout tower is not clear either.

Can't see anything clearly

By aa |

I was shocked in the middle of the night. I saw it from a distance, but I didn't know what kind of building it was. I quickly stopped a passerby to ask, and then I found out that it was called the Sky Tower, and it was said to be a TV tower. The night view was too gorgeous~~~

Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, also known as "Tianta," is one of the newly selected Ten Scenic Spots of Tianjin, known as "Tianta Spinning Clouds." Located north of the Sports University in Hexi District, the tower is adjacent to a scenic water park. Standing 415.2 meters tall, the tower appears majestic and soars into the sky from below. Between 248 and 278 meters, a viewing platform and revolving restaurant complete a full rotation every 45 to 60 minutes, offering panoramic views of Tianjin. Admission to the tower is free, but climbing the tower costs 50 yuan, with dining in the revolving restaurant charged separately.

By Lazy Girl |

You must choose good weather to go to the Sky Tower. In the smog days in Tianjin, you can hardly see anything up there.

By Dacheng Loves Travel |

Tianjin's old TV Tower was one of the tallest of its kind when it was built in 1991, ranking fourth in Asia and sixth in the world. Now that it's quite old, you can only overlook Tianjin from the top, with no other high-rise buildings nearby. The night view from outside is truly stunning!

By Y |

I happened to pass by this tower while having lunch with a colleague. It is one of Tianjin's landmarks. You can visit the tower, which should offer a unique view.

By Young |

"Tianta" is the abbreviation of Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, which is derived from the first and last characters of the Chinese character "Tianjin Radio and Television Tower." On October 1, 1991, the Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, embodying the hard work and wisdom of Tianjin's 8 million people, was completed and put into operation. The tower can simultaneously broadcast seven color television programs and nine FM stereo radio programs.

The Tianta Tower integrates tourism, dining, entertainment, and broadcasting. The third floor houses a revolving restaurant, seating over 200 people. Every 45 minutes, the restaurant completes a full rotation, allowing visitors to follow the room and the scenery, creating a truly captivating experience. From the observation deck, telescopes in various corners offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape for hundreds of miles. From the Tianta Tower, one can take in the panoramic views of Tianjin: the spacious and beautiful Central Square, the towering and elegant International Commercial Building, a panoramic view of the Water Park nearby, and towering skyscrapers in the distance. Climbing the Tianta Tower in the evening, nestling in the twilight and watching the city lights gradually illuminate, offers a unique experience.

By Old words |

Tianjin Radio and Television Tower is short for Tianjin Tower. Built in 1991, it is 415.2 meters high.

By lilium velvet |

The top of the tower overlooks Tianjin, but the price is too high. The milk tea in the revolving restaurant on the top floor costs 30 yuan per cup, and you can only sit down after buying a drink. If you are a tourist, there is no need to watch it on the top floor. The scenery on the second floor is the same. When selling tickets, they also sell snacks and souvenir packages. It is better to buy a separate ticket. There is really nothing to see in 4D.

By Angel |

Although it is not as beautiful as the night view of Beijing, it is also quite beautiful.

By Vast Sea Breeze |

Is that right? Every city has a tower?

By Yang Bo |

I went there on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded. No need to queue. However, there were a lot of fees. The telescope wasn't clear after inserting coins, so I don't recommend buying coins. The window seats in the second-floor restaurant were only available if you bought a drink. The drinks were a rip-off; the juice was just powdered and cost 38 yuan. The service was okay, if you're willing to pay.

One of the ten scenic spots in Tianjin, the "Sky Tower Spinning Clouds" is also known as the Tianjin Youth Activity Center. Completed in October 1991, it is also known as the Tianjin Youth Activity Center. With a total height of 415.2 meters, it is the sixth tallest tower in the world and the fourth tallest in Asia. Personally, I think you should choose between the Sky Tower and the Tianjin Eye, both of which are scenic spots with a panoramic view.

The Tianta Tower is my favorite place since I was a child. The towering Tianta Tower is a symbol of Tianjin's development in the 1990s. It is like the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai and the Big Pants in Beijing. It is an important landmark in Tianjin. The Tianta Lake under the Tianta Tower has a beautiful view. When it freezes in winter, it becomes a paradise for ice skating. The Tianta Lake and the water park next to it complement each other and form a beautiful landscape. This is the Tianta Spinning Cloud, one of the Ten Scenic Spots of Tianjin.

By Good girl Sara |

Originally, this attraction was a must-see, but after looking at the actual photos and many comments, I gave it a miss. The night view is indeed very nice and attractive, but passing by it during the day is similar to the big chimney of a fertilizer plant. The revolving Western restaurant on the top is also something I had always longed for before going there. After seeing that no one who had been there recommended it, I didn't dare to go. It is said to be very expensive and I don't even know if it can be called Western food. Some pictures even show lanterns hanging inside the Western restaurant. I don't know what reason I have to go there.

The attraction we stumbled upon was the Tianjin Radio and Television Tower. Tickets cost 50 yuan, which is more affordable than the Oriental Pearl Tower and not as crowded. The tower is 415.2 meters high, and you can only go up to the observation hall at 253 meters. There are telescopes in the hall, but they cost money (I think 10 yuan for 5 coins), and each coin only gives you one minute of viewing.

The main entrance is on Wei Jin Road, and the area surrounding it is a theme park centered on the Tianta Tower. The artificial lake under the Tianta Tower is very lively.

Tianjin always makes people feel very empty, and the wind is very strong every time I go there.

It happens to be March and April, and the sky is full of flying catkins, which is also a special scenery.

The ticket to the Tianta Tower is 50 yuan, but I didn’t go up. I took a walk around the lake in the park in the evening and it felt good.

In short, the Tianta Tower is a landmark. No matter where you are walking, you won’t get lost as long as you see it.

Tianjin's tallest tower is located in Hexi District, across from the water park. The Sky Tower is actually divided into two areas: an observation deck and a revolving restaurant, which is located above the observation deck and four meters higher. The observation deck has many coin-operated arcade games, similar to those in arcades, as well as numerous telescopes. You have to buy coins to use the telescopes, five for 15 yuan each, and each coin gives you one minute of observation, which isn't very valuable. The revolving restaurant itself is a bit of a rip-off. You can't sit down without ordering something, and the food is incredibly expensive. After entering the tower, waiters will point you to a seat and then offer you a drink. My friend and I ordered two regular coffees, which cost 216 yuan! By the way, admission to the Sky Tower is 50 yuan, half-price with a student ID. It's not worth it at 50 yuan, but if you were half-price, you'd still be able to check it out.

It's the world's only "water tower," with an observation deck and a revolving restaurant on the top floor. Since there wasn't much else to do there besides the sightseeing, I didn't plan to climb it. I just walked around the lake below.

I booked a Western meal at the Tianta revolving restaurant on a group buy basis. The quality and service were disappointing, even worse than the street vendors, and the hygiene was second-rate. But I came for the view. I walked around the restaurant and had a great view of Tianjin. I wouldn't recommend the rides or souvenirs; the quality was average!

It's not much different from the TV station in Beijing, except it's on a smaller lake. The architecture can't compare to the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai or the "Slender Waist" in Guangzhou. Tianta is actually the abbreviation of Tianjin TV Tower.

"Tianta" is the abbreviation of Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, which is taken from the first and last two characters of "Tianjin Radio and Television Tower". "Tianta" is located in the southwest of Tianjin city.

Take the subway to "Tianta Station" and you will see it when you get out. This is a scenic spot and a very representative symbol of Tianjin.

The Tianta Tower was built in 1991 with a total height of 415.2 meters. It is the sixth tallest tower in the world and the fourth tallest in Asia. Many major cities in the world have their own towers. Like most towers, the Tianta Tower overlooks the entire city and has a special telescope. Of course, there is also a revolving restaurant on top. Every time I pass by here, I always see many people queuing up to go up. Even those who don’t go up for tourism will definitely come here to take pictures as a souvenir, so there is often a lot of traffic around here.

Actually, you can see the Tianta Tower from a distance. If you want to take a panoramic photo of the Tianta Tower, you should take it from a farther distance. The panoramic view is very good. There is an introduction to the Tianta Tower at the entrance, but basically no one reads it and you just walk in. If you are at the introduction sign, you are already very close to the Tianta Tower. You can only shoot from above and it is difficult to take a photo of the entire tower unless you have a wide-angle lens.

Going up there actually depends a lot on the weather conditions, whether it's day or night, because Tianjin often has smog, and you need good weather to go up and overlook the city to see something; during the day you can see more clearly, and you can distinguish the various buildings in the city, and the surrounding lake is also very beautiful; at night you can see the city lights, and it will feel like a bustling downtown; the revolving restaurant rotates once every 45 minutes, which I personally think is too fast, and one hour is more appropriate; the food in the revolving restaurant is average, even if friends come to take them up to see the scenery, they will not go there to eat, the food is really not good, there are many good restaurants near the Tianta, such as the more famous Qiandengshi, Yuzilin, etc.

The ticket price is 50 yuan per person, renting a telescope is 30 yuan per hour, and if you dine in the revolving restaurant, it will be over 100 yuan per person. If you search on travel websites, you will find many group purchases, such as family tickets or meals for two, which will be more cost-effective. You can use your senior citizen card and student card to get certain discounts.

By Walking in disappearance |

I didn't go to the Tianta Tower, but I saw how tall it was when I passed by it. I personally think it is enough to watch it from a distance, because from my early preparations for the trip, I didn't find anything particularly attractive about the Tianta Tower. It was not a must-go for me, so I chose to watch it from a distance instead of entering the Tianta Tower. But if you are really interested in the Tianta Tower, it is still worth a visit. After all, the Tianta Tower is also very famous in Tianjin.

My friend in Tianjin told me that the best places to climb and overlook the city in Tianjin are the Tianta Tower and the Tianjin Eye. If the glass were clean, tea and water would reduce the dizziness. This is a great viewing spot. Yesterday (October 6, 2015), I took four American guests to the tower, and it was my first time climbing the tower. It turned out to be a very embarrassing experience! The entrance fee was 50 yuan per person, and any drinks or water brought in were confiscated upon entry. The glass on the observation deck was almost impenetrable, but you could still make out the beautiful scenery outside: buildings, lake, trees, and so on, bathed in sunlight. What a shame! Since we were already up there, I tried to find a clear view to take photos, but the result was heartbreaking. Attached is a photo. In the tower's tea room, my American companions ordered a pot of chrysanthemum tea (small, about the size of a cup) and a bottle of mineral water, totaling 180 yuan. Even the American guests exclaimed, "So expensive!" How can one not suspect the motive behind not allowing water on board, under the guise of security?

There is nothing else except the tower and the lake, it is really Tianta Lake.

Tianjin's TV Tower is built within an artificial lake, hence the name "Tianta Lake." Located in Nankai District, it's very close to Nankai University and Tianjin University. The subway station has a stop called "Tianta." It's a traditional TV tower, with a lake at its base, an oceanarium, and a revolving restaurant on top. It's nothing special. If you're choosing between going to the Tianta Tower or the Tianjin Eye, you'd definitely go with the Tianjin Eye. The Tianta Tower is more beautiful from a distance. You can take the elevator up to the revolving restaurant at the top, where you can take a spin and overlook much of Tianjin. However, pollution is quite severe these days, making it gray and hard to see much. At night, when the lights come on, you can enjoy the vibrant lights of the city, which is quite nice. The revolving restaurant is poorly maintained, unhygienic, and expensive. If you absolutely must visit the tower, consider purchasing a package ticket downstairs. This includes the entrance fee and a meal for two, which is cheaper than buying them separately. Tickets are 50 yuan, and student tickets are 25 yuan.

Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, you can see the whole view of Tianjin from the top, but it is no longer the tallest in Tianjin.

It is said that the words were written by Li Ruihuan. It looks quite tall from a distance.

All TV towers look the same. Tianta has the most overbearing name, but it's the most stable and conservative. It goes up and down very quickly. It happened to be foggy in Tianjin, so the view wasn't very clear. These photos were taken by others, and they scared me to death. Once the coin-operated telescope ran out, I had to rush to look. It only took a minute, and after fiddling with it for a while, it was time and useless. The selling methods of these attractions everywhere are the same; there's nothing special about them. Also, there really aren't that many towers to climb, so it's not very interesting. I recommend that if you want to see the view from afar, go up and see it when the weather is good. If you're afraid of heights like me, forget it. You'd just sit on the ground and couldn't stand up. Even now, as I'm writing this review, I'm still scared and can't even focus on the pictures I've uploaded below. It's truly terrifying. I can't remember how much the Tianta ticket cost, but I think it's reasonable among so many towers across the country. Everyone is welcome to go.

It was my first time to go up to the Sky Tower, which is over 250 meters high. The cars on the ground looked so small. The weather was not very good when I went up that day, so I couldn’t see too far. But I felt a little sad when I saw the people rushing around below. However, the service was not very good and a little cold.

The Tianta Tower is a landmark in Tianjin, and student ID cards are available for discounted tickets. The facilities are a bit dated and could benefit from a renovation. The tower offers a beautiful panoramic view of the water park. There's also a revolving restaurant upstairs, but it's a bit pricey and requires a purchase.

Standing 415.2 meters tall and covering 300 acres, it's the fourth tallest tower in Asia and the third tallest in China, taller than Beijing's CCTV Tower. Take the elevator up, but don't bring water or lighters. There are two upper floors, and the lower floor is accessible with a ticket and is a tourist area. There are telescopes inside, but you have to pay for coins to use them. It's said you can see the sea, but we couldn't see it after a long time. The upper floor is a revolving restaurant.

The Tianta Tower is definitely worth a visit. We went up there just before dark, and were able to see the scenery both during the day and at night. The view overlooking the entire Tianjin was truly amazing, and well worth the trip.

The ticket price for the Tianta Tower is 50 yuan per person. It is the only Tianta Tower in the water, and it is nice to overlook the beautiful scenery of Tianjin.

Tianjin Tianta, also known as the Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, is a tower built on water. Take the subway and get off at the "Tianta" stop. As you exit the subway, you'll see the towering Tianta. Besides housing the radio and television station, the Tianta also features sightseeing and dining areas. The third floor houses a revolving restaurant that rotates once every 45 minutes, a truly impressive sight. From the observation hall, telescopes in various corners offer panoramic views of the surrounding area. From the Tianta, you can gaze out across the entire panorama of Tianjin. Climb the Tianta in the evening to watch the sun slowly set, awaiting the lights and dusk. Next to the Tianta is a water park, where many parents bring their children.

I think the towers in every city are similar. The biggest discovery of the Tian Tower is that there are so many chimneys here.

I live near the Tianta Tower. I can see the night view of the Tianta Tower from the balcony on the 10th floor at night. It's quite nice.

Tianjin TV Tower, actually there is nothing to see on top, because Tianjin’s buildings are not concentrated with many high-rise buildings, but rather many low-rise bungalows.

After arriving at the attraction, we found that tickets were cheaper on Ctrip, so we bought tickets for four people there, saving 20 yuan. Due to the weather, the view wasn't very clear. If there's a chance, we'll go back on a better day. I hope the windows of the Sky Tower can be cleaned more thoroughly. That would be a better experience. The river next to the Sky Tower is full of dead fish, which clearly shows the serious pollution. The top of the Sky Tower is very small, with almost nothing there. The telescope costs 3 yuan for only one minute of viewing...

The worst thing ever. I went there at night to see the night view, but the lights were not on. It was so ugly. It was far worse than the Oriental Pearl Tower.

The "Sky Tower Spinning Clouds" is Tianjin's premier attraction and a popular tourist destination. From up there, you can see a panoramic view of Tianjin. It's usually quite crowded, and the revolving restaurant upstairs is fantastic and romantic. [Tickets to the Sky Tower] Full price: 50 yuan, student ticket: 25 yuan. Compared to other high-rise buildings, it's quite affordable.

I just walked around the door and saw a tall TV tower, which is a symbol of every city.

The Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, also known as the Tianta, serves as the city's FM radio and television transmission center. Construction began in 1988 and was completed on October 1, 1991. It is the third tallest tower in China and the seventh tallest in the world. The 22 hectares of water surrounding the tower are called "Tianta Lake." The Tianjin Tianta Lake Scenic Area has been designated a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The Tianjin Radio and Television Tower is also known as "Tianta Spinning Clouds," one of Tianjin's ten scenic spots. In 1995, the tower became a member of the World Federation of Great Towers.
