Kadinggou Scenic Area

When we first arrived in Linzhi, we didn't plan any itinerary in order to adapt to the highland climate. We just planned to walk around the area without any schedule. We asked the innkeeper about the car rental price in Linzhi, but it was still quite expensive. We couldn't afford it for budget travel. However, the innkeeper introduced a new energy shared car "Linzhi Car", which can be rented by time. It's only 50 cents per minute and 60 cents per kilometer. The two combined charges are cheaper than taking a taxi, and you can come and go freely.

At 14:15, we arrived at Kadinggou. The scenic area is not big. In addition, winter is the dry season, so the exquisiteness of Kadinggou Waterfall is much less, and ice piles have formed at the bottom of the waterfall. The other scenic spots in the scenic area are actually very ordinary, but fortunately there are few people, so we can walk around slowly. The rock paintings are bright and colorful, but unfortunately I don’t know the words on the rocks, so I don’t know the details of the story.

Near Linzhi, at an altitude of 2,980 meters, it is located on the banks of the Niyang River, a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River. The vegetation is very rich and the oxygen content seems to be relatively high.

This is an attraction that can be visited in about 20 minutes. I feel that you must have a tour guide to visit this attraction, otherwise you can only walk around it.

Kadinggou, also known as Kading Tianfo Waterfall, is a small scenic spot close to the urban area of Nyingchi, but it is also very cost-effective. The ticket is only 20 yuan. The scenic spot is not big, but it is worth seeing. There are steep black cliffs at both ends, towering trees and lush grass in the ditch. A naturally formed waterfall rushes down in the depths of the scenic spot, which is very shocking.

After lunch, we drove to Kadinggou Scenic Area. "Kading" means paradise on earth in Tibetan. Kadinggou Scenic Area is located in the G318 National Highway from Linzhi to Lhasa in Linzhi City, with an altitude of 2,980 meters. It is located on the banks of the Niyang River, a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River. It has abundant rainfall, dense forests, and clear rivers. It is a typical canyon landform with steep mountains, cliffs reaching into the clouds, and lush forest vegetation. Under the action of light and the interaction with the waterfall with a drop of more than 200 meters, the oxygen content here is very rich. It is a rare natural oxygen bar in Tibet. "Tianfo Waterfall", single-tree flying stream, flying stream bridge, holy water river, Buddha worship platform, and Juxian Pavilion. The naturally formed Buddha on the cliff has a kind face, and Guanyin Bodhisattva steps on the lotus and holds the treasure bottle to save all living beings. It is like a rock painting or a relief, and the workmanship is so exquisite that people linger.

It was late when I went there, so I didn't take any good photos. It's a pity.

It looks like a small waterfall from a distance, but you will realize how magnificent it is when you get closer. When it is windy, you can stand at the foot of the waterfall and feel the mist spraying on your face, which is very comfortable.

I don't recommend going there. Because there are many such scenic spots in the south, and they don't reflect the characteristics of Nyingchi at all. If you are short on time, don't waste your time on such a featureless attraction.

Kadinggou is actually a small canyon. As for the scenery, any canyon in Taihang Mountains is much better than it. Fortunately, the ticket price is very cheap.

But the blue sky + cliffs + waterfalls is an interesting combination in itself, and bamboo + snow + flowing water is another interesting combination. They are all very contrasting scenery, but they are gathered together in this small scenic area. I like places with running water, and I also like places with rich ecology.

Anyway, there is no entrance fee for scenic spots in winter.

I don’t know if I was disgusted by the atmosphere of this scenic spot or if I was worried about the next stop, Basongcuo, but I had no intention of taking a closer look. After taking a few photos, I went to the entrance of the scenic spot to wait for the gathering to go to Basongcuo.

The price/performance ratio is very high, because the ticket is only 20 yuan, but the scenery is good.

It is still very cold in Kadinggou, probably because of the wind and water.

There is another place to visit around Nyingchi, which is Kadinggou. Going west to Lhasa, you can only take the old G318, not the Linla Expressway. It is about 30 kilometers from Nyingchi, and it takes more than 40 minutes by car. Before the Linla Expressway, people would stop by to take a look from Lhasa to Nyingchi. The ticket seems to be 80. It is only a few hundred meters from the G318 turn, and parking is also convenient. It takes a lot of effort to climb through the bamboo forest to the waterfall viewing platform. The 200-meter-high "Tianfo Waterfall" deep in the canyon is its iconic attraction. In the waterfall, there is a naturally formed giant Buddha with a kind face. On both sides of the Buddha statue are a male and a female guardian, who appear and disappear in the waterfall from time to time. This is why the "Tianfo Waterfall" got its name. When the water level is low, it is like a silver chain floating down. When the water level is high, it is majestic and breathtaking.

The scenic area is very small, and the main attractions are a bunch of small waterfalls, as well as the so-called naturally formed Buddha statues, sacred turtles, etc. There are also mountains, rivers, cliffs, but it looks a little stingy.

It is said that an old couple from Hebei who loved photography discovered this place when Linzhi had not yet been developed. They found the Tourism Bureau and signed a 35-year contract with the Tourism Bureau to develop the scenic spot on their own. Now the old couple and their whole family come here to collect tickets and enjoy the scenery, enjoying a very leisurely time.

Kadinggou is still very interesting. If Basongcuo has aroused your desire to explore the primeval forest, then Kadinggou will just satisfy you. The tour route is a small path that shuttles through the primeval forest. Walking on it, it is very cool and there is no sunlight. There are flowing water, birds singing, and insects chirping in your ears. On the roadside, you can often see old trees with thick arms broken on the ground, rotting and overgrown with grass, which vividly reflects the birth, aging, illness, death, withering and decaying of nature.

The scenery of Kadinggou is a standard landscape of mountains, rivers and forests, which may be rare in Tibet, but for us Jiangnan people, it seems a bit bland. However, the naturally formed red rock patterns on the stone walls, combined with the imagination of local believers, still make people feel a little surprised and impressed by the uncanny work of nature. Finally, we saw the "big" waterfall that poured down a hundred meters and was regarded as a holy spring by the locals.

There were green trees and gurgling mountain springs along the way. If it weren’t for a few Tibetan letters on the rocks under the waterfall, I would have almost thought I was visiting the Western Zhejiang Grand Canyon.

It's quite spectacular. If you are not afraid of getting wet, you can walk to the bottom of the waterfall and feel the splash of water up close.

The ticket price is 20 yuan, and they force you to pay 5 yuan for insurance. There is no discount for the elderly.

As soon as you enter, you will feel like you have returned to the south. There are waterfalls, ancient trees and bamboo forests all over the mountains.

There are so many thousand-year-old trees in the ditch. Any tree stump is covered with moss. Two children can't hug it.

The naturally formed 200-meter drop has created this amazing wonder. The naturally formed faces of Buddha and goddesses on both sides of the waterfall are amazing.

This place is known as Tibet's oxygen bar. I really feel that after coming here, the altitude sickness is gone.

The ticket seller said that this is a private development and the scenery is pretty good. We had a lot of fun on the way. It can be said that this day was very fun and very tiring.

Kadinggou, the cheapest attraction in the whole trip, ￥20.00/person. What can I say about the attraction? It is worth the ticket price.

Kadinggou has towering ancient trees, peculiar stone walls, gurgling water and cascading waterfalls.

Kadinggou in the rainy weather is no different from the mountains and forests in the south of the Yangtze River. The small bridges, flowing water and unique pavilions in the mountains made me forget that I was in Tibet.

Kadinggou is a scenic spot that can be directly abandoned. How should I put it? Maybe it is because the scenery in Tibet is generally more beautiful and the scenic spots are more distinctive. In comparison, Kadinggou is like a small scenic spot that can be found in ordinary fourth- and fifth-tier cities, with a little mountain, a little water, a thin waterfall, and a wishing tree covered with red ribbons...

The only special features are the vaguely visible Buddha statues, Guanyin statues, goddess statues, and eagles on the mountain... Of course, these can only be barely seen with the description of the tour guide. For someone like me who neither likes to listen to explanations nor has much wisdom, naturally I can't see many of them.

But there is a shop selling white jade Bodhi at the entrance of the scenic spot, which is quite good. It is peeled and carved on the spot. The shop is inconspicuous, but according to my companion who knows the goods, the things are quite exquisite. I bought a bracelet for 150. The boss said that they are the only one in the nearby scenic spots that has authentic white jade Bodhi. Facts have proved that it is true. I have never encountered it again.

The Kadinggou Scenic Area is really nice, but you must walk slowly and go all the way inside to get closer to the waterfall. I remember that there seems to be no place so close to the waterfall in Beijing, so protect your equipment when taking close-up photos. Look at the mountains on both sides of the road, and you can see the naturally formed giant Buddha, goddess, Guanyin, guardian, Tathagata Buddha, lamas chanting, divine turtle calling to the sky, divine eagle offering treasures, butter lamps, and the Tibetan "Six-Character Mantra" Buddhist characters.

We went there quite late, so the driver let us take a quick look and then finished. The scenery was still pretty good, so you can take your time to stroll around when you have the chance!

There are many naturally formed landscapes between the cliffs: Holy Water Guanyin, guardian deity statues, child prodigy guarding lanterns, divine eagle offering treasures, mountain guardian tortoise, Jigong worshipping Buddha, and brave men climbing rocks. If you look closely, they are very lifelike.

It is said that if you pat your head with the holy spring water, altitude sickness will be eliminated. Regardless of whether it is true or not, let's wash first. The water is very cold, but very clear and sweet. This is also a pollution-free place. At the same time, use the holy water to cleanse your soul.

Any small hill in Zhejiang can be comparable to it, but it is rare to have such a landform in a high-altitude area.

I needed to rest after walking a few steps, even though the mountain was not high.

The Tianfo Waterfall in Kadinggou reminded me of the Yubeng Waterfall, which is exactly the same. Yunnan has many scaled-down landform features, so it may be more attractive to tourists from the plains.

You have to rely on your imagination to see the rocks. Maybe you went there in the wrong season, so there weren't many waterfalls.

The Kadinggou Waterfall made me feel like I was suddenly back in the south of the Yangtze River. The bamboo forests and streams were completely different from the style of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

I heard a passing tour guide saying that there was a goddess on the right side of the waterfall, and then I looked and it really was, it looked very much like her.

Kadinggou, the mountain is Kading sacred mountain, and the most famous waterfall in the park. When we arrived, it was already six or seven in the afternoon. The fatigue of a day's car ride made us lose interest. But the environment is still very good. At this time, the sky began to clear up.

I visited this scenic spot on the way to Linzhi. It's okay to visit this scenic spot. Don't expect too much. It's just a small hill commonly seen in the south, with a waterfall and a cliff. Climbing the mountain will be a little tiring.

We chartered a car to visit the scenic spots on the way back to Basongcuo. We had to register our ID card and make a copy of it at the ticket office. We didn't need a ticket. We followed the guides of other tour groups and felt it was just average. We took a few photos and went down to the visitor center to wait for our companions.

I don't recommend going there at all. The flying shovels are boring and there are feet everywhere. It feels like a private piece of land opened to make money~~

The road leading to the Kadinggou Observation Deck is densely covered with rocks of various shapes. At that time, a light snow had just fallen in Nyingchi, and the entire mountain area was shrouded in clouds and mist, giving a feeling of ascending to heaven. From the observation deck, you can see the canyon below, the steep cliffs above, and the waterfall falling from the sky. At that moment, it feels like you are in a martial arts world.

The tour guide introduced this as Tibet's Little Jiangnan. It's OK. For a native of Sichuan, the scenery here...

Kadinggou Scenic Area is located on the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of National Highway 318, less than 30 kilometers from Bayi Town, with an altitude of 3,000 meters. The area where Kadinggou is located is a granite canyon. There is a waterfall with a drop of more than 200 meters falling from the sky on the cliff on the left side of Kadinggou. It is said that people with a predestined relationship with Buddha can see a giant Buddha appearing and disappearing in the water of the waterfall, and Tianfo Waterfall got its name from this.

A 4A scenic spot was added temporarily. There are waterfalls in the mountains and quiet bamboo paths. Red ribbons for blessing are hung all over the mountains. Climbing the mountains and washing the lungs is quite pleasant.

On the way from Lhasa to Nyingchi, you will pass through Kading Valley, where you can experience the waterfalls on the plateau.

It's fine, the ticket is only 20 yuan anyway. It's not a big deal to go and experience it...

As a waterfall lover, I naturally like Kadinggou. There are various stone carvings, flying eagles, butter lamps on the rock walls here, and you can also pray in front of the goddess stone carvings.
